I think everyone was onto something with Loveybug. Now you may wonder, why didn’t I draw the bottom of the design, well that’s simple. I didn’t want to. I already redrew everything 20 times T-T

Anyway was inspired by a bunch of space girl futuristic aethestic stuff and sailor moon for her design. Basically she has a massive bow at the back and the ribbons tie around her leg and kinda stick out at the end. I kind think it would be cool if instead of a yo-yo it was a spool of ribbon. Idk, i think the pig miraculous has a monopoly on the manic adorable energy XD (but actually a ladybug/pig fusion would just be Loveybug, literally. Omg)

When she appears at first every one is like “She can’t be an akuma because she’s too nice but like- she’s so unserious.”

Be Careful What you Wish for- A Season 6 Miraculous ficlet

Chloé bit her lip to keep from panting. The climb had been excruciating. Any number of tools would have made it easier. Sabrina was the one who normally thought of these things.  Now it was just Chloé on her own, and she was way out of practice with thinking. Climbing though, climbing she could do. Spite helped too. Banished to London for a summer! The last words of that Dupain-Cheng still echoed in her head. Ridiculous am I? I’ll show you ridiculous.

This is how Chloé ended up dressed all in black and perched atop the Dupain-Cheng bakery. The trapdoor down was unlocked, which was good, because she’d forgotten the prybar back home. She lifted the door slowly and listened… silence.  Chloé crept down onto Dupain-Cheng’s bed and- Froze.

“No, I’ve made up my mind. I’m going to tell him. I have to tell him before the school year starts. It’s a new beginning. I’ve got a new recipe baking downstairs for the first day of class. I’m going to do things right this year, from the start,” Marinette’s voice carried more than the usual agitation.

“But Marinette,” a high pitched voice answered back, “What good would it do? He seems happy the way things are. Everyone does!” A series of unidentifiable clicks sounded from below.

Marinette’s reply was quieter, “Happy lies, Tikki? My word as empty as this box is right now? It’s eating me up inside. Will it be easier or harder if it comes out some other way?”

“Who else would know?”

The sound of pacing down below. “It doesn’t make it right Tikki, just because you don’t get caught. Argh. You know what? I’ll practice on Cat Noir! He should know too. I just don’t want him feeling guilty when he hears the full story. I know my partner, he’ll blame himself.”

CAT NOIR?! Chloé bit her knuckle to keep from screaming. The bed shifted just slightly under her. She froze again, dancer's training allowing her to lock every joint in place.

“I don’t know, Marinette. He might ask why you kept the secret, and that might clue him in as to-”

“Marinette!” a deep voice boomed up from below, “Honey, the oven is smoking!”

“Oh no!” Marinette squeaked, “My cookies! C’mon Tikki!”

A thump, a familiar scramble, another thud, and the sound of MArinette’s feet pounding down the steps.

Chloé dared to unfreeze, letting her breath out in a gasp. She clamped her lips shut again and screamed wordlessly into her closed mouth.

DUPAIN-CHENG?! Of ALL people?

A little voice soothed that if it was true then at least Chloé’s life had been upended by someone with superpowers, and that made it a little easier to stomach.  The rest of her sprung into action though, racing down the stairs to Marinette’s room proper. She was doubly bent on revenge now. There had to be somethin-

It would have been so easy to miss. It was just a single line, a crack of color from a drawer left barely ajar. It was Marinette’s tacky sewing chest, but that color… Chloé hooked her finger in the crack and pulled the drawer open slowly. For the second time in as many minutes she nearly swallowed her tongue.

She knew it instantly. She’d held it once before. That gaudy red bulb of a box. The Miracle box. It sat there, solid proof that she hadn’t misunderstood, that Dupain-Cheng hadn’t just gone insane or been playing pretend. This was all real. Chloé lost sense of time. The past year was running itself through her mind, this new reality fitting itself into every interaction. She needed to scream. She needed to scream more than she ever had in her whole life. She couldn’t even begin to guess what she would scream about, or why, but the need was overwhelming.

Another harsh thumping from below cut off the explosion, making her swallow the scream painfully. Footsteps- Dupain-Cheng! Chloé grabbed the box, not even knowing why anymore. She shoved the drawer shut and bolted up to the bed. She almost made it to the trap door.

The creak from below left her poised, one hand on the thin barrier to her escape.

“-hy not?!” Marinette normally reserved that level of anger for her, “It’s over, we beat Monarch. The Butterfly is probably lodged in a filter at the local sewage treatment plant. It’ll end up in a Landfill, which as far as I’m concerned is the best place for it.”

“But Marinette…” Tikki protested.

“No buts, Tikki. I’m making changes aren’t I? Cat Noir can know. It’s time. The two of us can coordinate the team so much better if we aren’t chasing each other’s shadows half the time.”

“Marinette, it’s not over.”

“It is Tikki, we won!” That wasn’t the sound of disagreement, it was the sound of a plea.

“Even if the Ladybug isn’t needed right now, you’ll always be the guardian, Marinette. You can’t let your guard down.”

Marinette let out a growl of frustration, “Gah! Forever? I’m fourteen Tikki! I can’t believe-”

She cut herself off. Chloe could hear her deep inhale and exhale.

“I’m sorry, Tikki. I’m grateful. I’m grateful for your advice. I’m grateful I’ve had the chance to help so many people. I’m grateful for the changes in my life. I’m grateful for all of it. Still, there are times that I just wish…

“I dream of it sometimes, Tikki. Someone comes along. I hand them the box and I say. ‘I’m done. You are the Guardian now. I’m going to go live a normal life with those I love. I wish you luck in your new Guardianship, may it be easier than mine.”

Chloé’s head bounced off Marinette’s wall. The wave of sudden nausea gave her no choice. There was a shout of alarm from below. Chloe threw caution to the wind and scrambled up to the roof, silence be damned.

As the trapdoor slammed shut behind her Dupain-Cheng’s voice carried up, “Help! It’s a giant bug! A Mouse! A Bug-Mouse!”

Loveybug AU Headcanons/Concepts

Bc Loveybug is such a cute cute cute idea and I wanna create some stuff but we start with brainstorming my interpretation (I love seeing all the different interpretations) because of course.

I really wanna see what would happen if Adrien had to choose the Ladybug miraculous (although bad idea as it is) and I really feel like Adrien would choose Marinette despite her previous insistence on not being a good enough hero hero and being "easily exposed" as Multimouse ("I don't know Plagg, she really would be great at this! She's the most creative person I know. I really think she deserves a second shot. She would do a great job as Ladybug- although no one's better than her." And cue Plagg being like: Kid please. And also cue Marinette, a bit later, being given back the earrings and going "W-what am I supposed to do now?!"

Also, I do like the idea of flirty or just unshamelessly open about her feelings Marinette as Lovey, but also consider how she would do quite literally anything for the people she loves and gets kinda silly around those she has a crush on, and I wanna hone in on a Loveybug who's really big on gift giving (she makes so much stuff for everyone omg, the rest of the team is constantly given food or little trinkets to keep in their suits) and acts of service. Or even just consider Loveybug + love languages (she'll be so committed to trying every single one until she nails it on the head on how best to show appreciation for someone). I think as Lovey, her most prominent way to show love is through her support and devotion. So she's open-hearted until she's proven wrong in doing so. Essentially: she's loving and loveable.

In battle, that's very prominent. Her heart's on her sleeve. She has an enhanced attentiveness to the emotions that may have caused an akuma, willing to hear them out before needing to fight (will only stay on the defensive until all other methods are exhausted), being gentle to sentimonsters and giving her farewells to them, and sticks around to offer some kind words and a little gift to victims or a hug (she always asks first) after purifying the butterfly.

I imagine an average encounter with Chat (not Cat Walker because that's gonna be a separate thing ;>) to be a mixture of flirting (mostly on Chat's end, but we all know Mari can match it so easily) and a bunch of affectionate touches. Touch-starved Adrien would MELT. And Lovey would never miss a chance to tell him he's done something great or cool. She would be playfully swooning at him and everything.

Once Cat Walker's there, she's tentatively affectionate and flirty before realizing Cat Walker responds positively to casual touches and hugs better. His gentlemanly nature and reservedness does make her back off slightly. Although, as she falls deeper, she can't help her increased affection with silly lil ploys to achieve touch (i.e. Cat Walker catching her or holding her). Her being both purposefully clumsy and then the one time she's actually clumsy that causes Cat Walker to be like: Oh no, she's cute.

There's also the immense amount of angst potential, because yknow: love is beautiful, but it can also hurt. Marinette deffo knows that so damn well. She's constantly positive about it, until she sees something like someone getting broken up with, and she'll be very empathetic. Being cheated on, an unrivalled fury. Falling out of love with someone?

Oh.

Oh.

Chat notices Lovey leaning against a balcony's railing. She greets him with a grin, but her eyes are so, so sad as she gazes back at the Paris landscape. Chat: Lovey? Is everything okay? Lovey: ... She sneaks a glance at him, with a look he can't decipher, before letting out a sigh. Lovey: I think- I think I'm falling out of love with him. Lovey: Did I even love him at all? Chat, coming up next to her: What makes you think that? Lovey: I've fallen in love with someone else! How could I have done that?! How could I have dared to-?! Chat: Lovey, stop. What makes you think you don't love him anymore? Lovey: Because- because. Chat: Do you dislike him? Are you annoyed with him? Have you stopped wanting to be around him? Lovey: I- no, but... Chat: You can love multiple people, you know that. There's nothing wrong with it. Lovey: Not like this! Chat: Just use communication, lovely bug. Just communicate how you feel. That's how relationships are, right? Communicating. Lovey looks at the guy she's in love with, and turns back to a billboard to see her first love, the love she still loves. She lifts the gloved hand clutching hers, kissing it gently in gratitude: Yeah, you're right. You always know the right thing to say.

Anyway my first wish is for lila and marinette to figure out each others’ identities so they can have extremely petty arguments that no one else in the room can understand. Marinette being like “well i think Lila should have done more of the group project essay because I didnt sleep because Someone sent an akuma to my roof at 2am and made so much noise” and everyone can very gently be like “okay? Marinette please stop yelling, its not Lila’s fault that happened” and Marinette can be like “it IS her fault she’s ruining my life” and Lila can be like “well maybe if you weren’t such an annoying little stubborn jerk the akumas wouldnt be bugging you. Maybe this is karma.” and marinette can hiss at her loudly and everyone in the room can be like. Okay. Okay. What is this energy

My second wish is for marinette and lila to constanrly disappear at the same time (bc of akuma fights) and accidentally have to start coordinating their excuses because both of them have identities to hide. Because theyre stupid. So they start passing each other notes like “okay today we’re gonna say we saw a lost puppy while running and had to take it to the vet. Here’s the details to keep our story straight” (neither of them know adriens identity so neither notice he Also disappears at the same time)

My third wish is for Lila to join the resistance as an undercover agent to try to usurp it except it turns out the resistance doesn’t have Any information about anything ladybug related but Lila gets in over her head and ends up trapped in a cycle of making “we love you ladybug youre so strong and cool!!” Glitter posters every single day and whenever she tries to lie her way out of it instead of just saying she doesnt want to, nino’s like “omg no problem!!!! I’ll get you new resistance activities that work better with your needs!!! That’s what friends are for!!!”

My fourth wish is for lila to crack under all this pressure, and start monologuing so passionately to her accomplice chloé that it accidentally turns into into a makeout session.

Ladybug's excuse to the public for letting a teenager, Nay! for letting a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD use an extremly dangerous magical artifact for a little over 2 years, goes something like this: "Marinette was the ONLY person in france- maybe in the whole world! that was compatible with the Rat miraculous, it takes a very smart person to be able to multitask like that, and marinette has a photographic/phonetic memory."

i headcannon that marinette photographic/phonetic memory, and that the Rat Miraculous is the math miraculous that was mentioned in the comics that one time, and that if an incompatible person were to try and use it they would at BEST develop a severe case of split personality disorder/ or schizophrenia, and at WORST their brain would- just- melt out of their ears. )

Also he calls her "Spots" or "LuckyBug" when shes in hero mode.

I stand by what I said, this is the best Miraculous world special done.

Honestly If I included it in my episode rankings this is easily a top 5 contender.

I now want a sequel in which Shadybug and Claw noir fight the supreme, because the Supreme sounds f***ing epic and evil.

Maybe season 6 plays into it. (That would be one hell of a season)

Silly Game Time: Who are some of your favorite Bad Guys in fiction, and why?

I'm not talking a mere antagonist nor a character who might be doing bad things reluctantly or even for good, noble reasons. I mean a *villain* who's out there causing trouble and/or scheming because *they want to*, and are usually enjoying it. They can be from any sort of story (books, movies, shows, games, OCs, etc.), so long as they're an honest-to-badness *villain*.

*pulls out list* as a certified villain enthusiast, this is my kind of question.

Mayura, Miraculous Ladybug - her motivation is having the hots for the main villain Hawkmoth, and you cannot tell me she did not enjoy her (albeit brief) time as a full-on supervillain. I love her so very much, her design is s tier (it's my dream to cosplay her one day) and she's just so cool~~ she was like my #1 favourite character back in my Miraculous days

Shego, Kim Possible - how could I make a villain list without mentioning her. Favourite character from my current hyperfixation (tbh she is the current hyperfixation at this point). I love her sass, badassery, and I can't not mention her design. (I don't like girls so I don't really have a crush on her, but she's still amazing)

Dr Drakken, Kim Possible - While Shego holds the title of Favourite Kim Possible Character/Villain, I like Drakken a lot too. He's endlessly entertaining, and just a silly little guy at the end of the day. (Also I totally ship him with Shego lol)

Cyn, Murder Drones - If evil, why friend shaped? She's unapologetically evil, yet so silly and adorable. I love how she narrates every action she does ("climbing... Criss Cross apple sauce") and her constant smile, even when she's doing something awful. Also her VA is seriously so amazing, omg!! I've even got a keychain of her on my backpack ^^

Bill Cipher, Gravity Falls - He's such a fun character. He'll just do the goofiest yet most sadistic shit, and only half the time it's for shits and giggles (at least from what I remember, it's been a hot sec since I've watched the show). I have not read The Book of Bill yet, unfortunately, but I'm really excited to see some of the weird lore he has. (Maybe I'll ask for it for Christmas, actually...)

That's all I'll put, but I could probably think of some more. Like I said, I LOVE villains. They're so cool (IN FICTION)

I have very strong opinions on the Heros season 6 designs and I'm not afraid to share them.

Let me start this off by saying, I do understand that It will look better in motion!! I am extremely hopeful this is the case and I don't necessarily distrust that this is the case, and actively wish it to be. I've seen the clips so far and they're gorgeous (Alya's bob omg <3333) so i do hope it looks better in the actual show. I love this show, a lot. Like a lot a lot, and this isn't any form of hate just my opinions!!

Okay, lets go left to right with what we've seen so far hero wise.

Carapace!!

You know what? I don't hate it. He looks a younger than before but then again, they're only 14/15 so hey! I like how it didn't change that much, and i like the additions. They kept the hood and googles, the pattern is similar and all together they didn't change him much. They could have done more, but with his shell this will look pretty nice! And i love the way part of his suit juts out for texture difference!! 2. Ladybug

It's not that bad. I do think the spandex is still weird, and wish she had some cool jacket and it doesn't seem like she has actual shoes (some combat boots would be FIRE) but i like the black. It's different but not overwhelmingly so and her hair being a bit longer reminds me of the anime PV ladybug (who was still quite awesome). Her iconic ribbons and her gloves reign supreme. I wish she could have some extra layers or cool textures but compared to the following two she isn't all around that bad.

3. Chat noir

Wow. I know he's a twink but wtf guys. That's not even his face shape he looks so strange. His hair looks tamer which i hate so much because he's supposed to be wild and scraggly. AND THEY KEPT THAT GOD DAMN BELL. It's pretty much the same, but TWINKIER??? And i'm a twink, i love the twink vibes but they fucked him up SO bad its painful oh my god. Why. Please. I do not like Chat's design his face shape is really putting me off. :((( BUT it will probably grow on me. I just hope they don't fuck up felix :(((

4. Rena rouge

Look. I love her. She's gorgeous. But. Wow. I cannot belive they made her skinny. as a chubby person, i want her to be like, back to how she was as ALYA in season 1-5. I'm so upset they didn't keep her body shape it's so upsetting. I hope they don't do anything like this to Mylene. Other than that, i love her. Her ears are so cool, pointy and almost look like a bow. Her hair looks gorgeous, stunning, beautiful. It's so cool. I love how they kept her suit similar because i've always adored her suit. I like the white palms and her flute looks a lot nicer now. The only qualm i have with her really is how they made her skinny.

I had to add this in there, just because i love it so much, Look at her hair oh my god. Short hair Alya is something I never knew i needed and they kept her clothes similar <33333 (I adore her outfit as is) gosh i cant wait to see her.

like, if newt was taken instead, i feel like the story would probably have been a lot heavier, and more focused on teresa and her betrayal; her decision between her friends and society, and her struggle. because instead of having to talk to minho, who’s immune, every day, shes straight on facing one of her friends, who isn’t immune, and is currently infected. so definitely the struggle would’ve been crazy and honestly i’d like to see it

I made this one and was like, "Fuck it. Space Cowboy." But his hero name is Minotaur. (the strength it took for me not to name him Cowboy omg)

So Minotaur's planet is where Ladybug and Chat Noir go to hide out when they're wanted criminals. Minotaur drives a motorcycle that’s basically a horse version of Link’s unicorn bike from Legend of Zelda. Please assume all their vehicles do pod racing hover.

Minotaur was the point where I started to get tired and just decided to draw bazongas. It's my comfort state. Love drawing booba.

So they're kinda like a cool older mentor figure to Ladybug. They're not related, but I wanted them to have a life before the miraculous and space racing and such.

Minotaur has a sanctuary for old work horses that is funded by a past lover of theirs. They were the reason Ladybug even found out about the miraculous.

This is the moment we find out that Ladybug lied to Minotaur about where they were going. Minotaur thought Ladybug was going to a sort of space college to learn about engineering and space travel.

Turns out Ladybug was joining an illegal racing group and here we are on the run from the space cops.

Minotaur offers them a place to stay for the time being, Minotaur tells Ladybug that if they continue on the path they're on, "I won't be able to protect you anymore."

I love how as part of the miraculous ladybug and Chat noir fandom we just know and accept things that would not be normal for others. That is one thing that connects us. Like:

Omg, Divinity is such a cool hero name for Peacock Danny! That was really amazing! I actually have one more admittedly self indulgent add on to the prompt if that’s alright. So Danny starts mentoring these kids, and it turns out he’s really good at it, but despite things going well he can’t help but feel uncomfortable by the awe stricken gazes they give him and how they cling on to every word they says. Danny is naturally confused why, because he’s nothing special right? Soon he decides to just straight up ask them why they seem to respect him so much, and Marinette goes on a spiel about how their kwamis told the duo about Danny’s exploits, how he’s beaten gods, how he almost made the ultimate sacrifice to re seal Pariah, and how he’s next in line for the throne. It turns out that the kwamis were bigger fans then Danny thought they were. What do you think?

HOHOHO (I am glad you liked Danny's Peackock name, I debated that one a lot, but I liked the name Divinity tying into the popular headcanon of Danny being the Ghost King, you know the drill-) But this is a really fun addition! I can imagine it going along the lines of this:

And, okay, maybe Danny was thinking too much into this because he's trying to teach them how to break a hold and they need to see it to know what to do, but they're staring a little more intensely than really necessary. And they practically had stars in their eyes, and quite frankly, Danny was feeling a little overwhelmed. He couldn't think of a reason why they would looking at him so intently either, unless they were really interested in this lesson? But they kept looking at him like that even when he wasn't teaching anything at the moment.

Maybe Danny should just ask.

"Is there... any reason you keep looking at me like that?" Danny asked cautiously. In unison, the two younger teenagers tilted their heads to the side. "You know- The intense staring?"

Ladybug began to blubber out an excuse while Chat Noir just straight up asked, "Is that bothering you? Sorry, we can't help it!"

Okay, time to rephrase it then. "And why is that?"

"It's just- We had no idea you were such a veteran hero!" Ladybug explained now, and the brightness to her face reminded him so strongly of Tikki that he really wanted to coo. His core hummed happily in his chest at the thought, and Danny had to stuff it down harshly. He'd prefer it if he could look them in the eye after this.

Danny looked on as she continued, "Our Kwamis told us about your adventures through time and- Is it true that you defeated the equivalent of gods?"

"I wouldn't... call them 'gods', per se-" Danny began apprehensively.

"So you're not next in line to be the Ghost King?" Chat Noir inquired, his ears twitching on his head. So cute, Danny wanted to weep.

"I mean- technically-" Danny started again. That led to another round of awed gasps and questions from his two newest... protégés? Students? Danny didn't know what to call them anymore. He seemed to have gotten a pretty good handle of this mentor thing, and he could see an improvement in their performances against the akuma and the occasional amok, but it just felt wrong to take credit for all their hard work. Even when they profusely thanked him for their lessons.

Now Danny was beginning to wonder how much of it stemmed from the Kwami's stories of him.

He was going to have to talk to Tikki and Plagg after this.
