It's incredibly fitting that just as Suletta is taking on Ericht, it is Miorine who is fighting with Prospera. Freeing Suletta from Prospera was her primary mission after all, so this makes a lot of sense for her arc. Even as Prospera says that she does love Suletta, Miorine calls her out on her unequal love for her two daughters. Prospera does make it clear that she feels like Suletta has friends, her found family, who she can rely on without her and Eri, but we have to remember that Prospera is also the one who was manipulating Miorine and caused her to try and drive a wedge in that relationship, so this still feels a little cheap.

And how Prospera is defeated is quite fitting. She's a mother doing everything for her child, but it is the legacy of a different mother, Notrette Rembran, and her love for her daughter that allows Miorine to shut down Quiet Zero. And Bel is saved by Elan, her creation who resented her. Elan 5 makes the case for her that she has the capacity to help people, and Miorine reaches out to Prospera hoping to repair Suletta's family, her future family.

But even though the threat of Quiet Zero is dealt with, the Space Assembly League's leadership is already on the move. They see the perfect opportunity to strike down the Benerit Group, and it is Ericht who makes the ultimate sacrifice here. She can't protect Suletta anymore, and Prospera's plans are all in ash. And now everyone will have to pick up the pieces and try to stop Peil and the Assembly League with not a lot of resources at their disposal. The final episode looks to be a tough fight for our heroes

Ceres: 'But you know, I kind of envy Spinel's strength.' Unlike me, who was always so pessimistic--she was like a star that lit up the darkness. She was so bright.....at the same time I wanted to stretch my hand out, wanting to be like her. Ceres: 'If I started training right now, I wonder if I could become like her?' Ankou • Adolphe: '.....Please don't.'

Being their only daughter born after two boys, Cere was their little princess. 95% of her pictures are of her in some frilly clothing that her mom gave her. When she's a mother (depending on the verse), she'd adopt the same habit of spoiling her child. And her pets too.

canon divergence where cere runs while Vader is crushed by that flaming bookshelf? and she lives? maybe cal thinks she’s dead for a bit, maybe she loses an arm and/or her lightsaber or something… and then cal gets to be sad and everyone has their moment finding bode “for cere”? and then, and then then she’s not really dead? 🥺🥺🥺

Very cool that through virtue of being a pretty boy Elan OG has earned himself countless pieces of dramatic fanart and tragic headcanons. Ladies, this man does NOT care about all those dead children he cares about MONEY and POWER

It’s crazy to me how well this show is able to make characters that seem like jerks sympathetic or likable. This last episode really did it with e5an and secelia.
Yeah, especially since El5n is like, absolutely doomed for good now.
But yes! If there's something that g-witch is really good at, it's showing another side of a character. Even with Prospera -- she's the main villain and she's the fucking worst, but her pain is very understandable.
I still don't like El5n at all as a character, but his scenes are interesting, and he poses a very cool contrast to Norea. And Secelia I truly hadn't had a single thought about until just recently, but even she's clearly got some stuff going on. It's really cool.

And with Kenanji gone, Prospera is finally ready to unleash her gambit. She certainly would have done this either way, but it is a big help for her to have one less person who could possibly see through what was going on present.

The lack of weapons insisted upon by Miorine serves as a good cover for her actions, although that was certainly not what Miorine ever had in mind from all of this.

And as Feng Jun talks with Bel, she reveals some real bombshells about what is going on and what Prospera has been up to. Ochs Earth are back, and they're being used by the Assembly League. Considering that the Dawn of Fold were using their Gundams, they must fit in to this as well, either as someone directly part of Ochs Earth/the Assembly League's plans, or as a tool that they're using. It's unclear which right now.

Miorine can only watch on in dismay as everything she was working towards goes up in flames. There is no longer a peaceful way out of this. Prospera has literally burned that hope to the ground.

Feng and Bel are on the verge of cracking the case of just what this has all been about, when Godoy shows up and ambushes them. It's unclear if Feng will survive or not, we didn't see a confirmation of her death, but I have a hard time imagining Godoy would just allow her to live; he's too much of a professional. Still, Bel and Guston have escaped for now and can start to figure out what the next step is going to be.

For now, all we can do is watch on in horror at the devastation that Prospera has wrought. The city is up in flames, families are lost, and war is here for sure now.

While Elan 5 has been given some humanity in this episode, the real Elan is just as much of a calculating sociopath as ever, while Shaddiq and Henao recognize that Prospera has dealt them a big blow. Shaddiq probably had big plans for those Gundams Prospera just blew up. And now Guel is going to be on the hunt for his next move as well, so it will be interesting to see how he navigates through that.

As the episode ends, we have a real reversal for both Suletta and Miorine. Suletta finally understands why Eri pushed her away, and she realizes what her mom has been up to this whole time. Meanwhile, Miorine can only look on in horror and bemoan how everything is her fault. In trying to free Suletta from Prospera's control, she herself was used by Prospera, and it is only now that she can actually see that. Miorine's arrogance that she understood everything has lead her here, watching the Earth that she dreamed of visiting for so long burn

Spoilers for Gundam Witch from Mercury episodes 13 and 14 follow.
So, now that we know exactly how Aerial’s been operating this entire time (well, give-or-take a couple details) it does raise the question of what Eri’s role in all this is.
Like, how cognisant is she of her actions? Is she just following Lady Prospera’s orders? Is she protecting her sister? Is she fully aware that she’s murdering all these people?
It’s worth noting that when Suletta expresses doubt about her actions, brought on by witnessing Sophie’s death, Eri (as Aerial) immediately steps in to reassure her that she’s totally on the right path, and should trust her mother (at least that’s the vibe Suletta’s response gives me).
But, in light of this new information, it’s worth considering Elan Four’s fight with (as we now know) Eri (again, as Aerial) and Suletta.
Eri essentially pulled the patented newtype therapy on Elan Four, reminding him of a significant time in his life. But the question is, why?
She had no problem murdering Sophie (though that was somebody actively trying to kill), but why give Elan this?
My immediate though is as a distraction, to give them time to set up that little coup de grace they hit Elan with, but the alternative is that Eri is a good deal more empathetic than someone under Prospera’s thumb should be.
It’s also possible that she was put into Aerial at an early age (I’m not sure how much of a representation what Sophie and Elan saw was) and as such a lot of her development has atrophied.
Other predictions and thoughts on this development:
1. Lady Prospera will almost certainly betray Delling.
Perhaps I’m reaching for the low-hanging fruit here, considering that this was already likely, based both on how they act around each other and Lady Prospera’s existence as a char clone (and therefore pretty likely to betray anyone). But I’m thinking that Delling either doesn’t know about this (highly likely) or this is just a small part of the larger quiet zero project, which he also doesn’t know the full details on. Given his position with Cathedra in the prologue, I just can’t imagine him backing this.
Tumblr media
2. Lady Prospera will fight in the Aerial.
Okay, so this is the biggie. I’m thinking that Suletta comes around to Miorine’s way of thinking and backs her in the upcoming fight. Aerial is (initially) more loyal to Prospera than Suletta, and Suletta will be forced to use a different unit (though presumably still a Gundam). Throughout the fight, suletta will be desperately trying to appeal to Aerial/Her mother and eventually get through to Aerial, which will then refuse to dodge an attack that kills both Eri and Lady Prospera. Bonus points if it plays out similarly to Scirocco’s death in Zeta Gundam.
Alternatively Lady Prospera takes to the field in a shiny new Gundam, the culmination of Quiet Zero (I wonder if too many of my theories rely on the fact that we know absolutely nothing about the Gundam Schwarzette at this point), and trying to convince Aerial to take her side, while Suletta’s desperately fighting without Eri’s assistance.
