As the in-game quote says, "This secluded forest [was] once frequented by many Wanderers...". That description seems to infer there aren't as many Wanderers here as there were initially? Maybe it really is just a handful of super powerful Golems wandering around (pun fully intended lol).

This massive Wanderer originated from volcanic activity, so it's commonly seen near lava lakes or lava flows. Its abilities include increasing temperatures and frequently causing fires. It fights using Melee and Ranged attacks.

This Wanderer originated from craters left behind by meteorites. It is extremely powerful, continuously absorbing Metaflux to reinforce its rocky exterior.
It fights using Melee and Ranged attacks, plus Furious and Devour abilities.

Cold Metal, Warm Sensation
Characters: Poly!LADs x gn!mc, Caleb x gn!mc (Caleb POV)
Warnings: Spoilers for Caleb's story.

Written: 18th February 2025
Notes: Established-relationship with gn!MC with all LADs, with my personal pov of the game and lil headcanons littered in. Unnamed MC, but using my personal MC's basic appearance and adjusted backstory. I take some liberties with what the game offers me. Ok I finally got this done, amidst the pain... This is pre Caleb joins Polycule fully, but it's post Caleb stops trying to lock MC in a box. (Unless they ask nicely). Polycule understand the agony of not being able to touch your loved one, lucky (and unlucky) for Caleb.

The first time his arm comes up, is after he says goodbye to you one morning. You have a mission with Xavier in the Fusion No-Hunt Area, so as you say goodbye to everyone, Caleb takes your right hand in his own.
It's become something of a routine for him, or a ritual, he thinks. He can't feel the metal of your prosthetic against his unfeeling right hand, but he can squeeze without worrying about hurting you. He looks down at your clasped hands, and watches as you squeeze back. Your other hand goes to his cheek and then you press a kiss to his skin.
It's fleeting, and quick, as you release and race off to follow Xavier. Yelling a final goodbye behind you, Mephisto follows on a gust of feathers.
He sits back at the kitchen counter, staring down at his hand, raising it to his cheek, and exhales a sigh.
No matter how much he touches you, it never seems to be enough. Like he is always missing something. An unending yearning or greed he can't sate properly. He can touch you with his left hand all he wants, but he still cannot stop feeling the loss of emptiness in his right like an eternal agony.
"You should let me take a look at it, if it bothers you that much tin-man." Sylus speaks from the side, glasses perched on the end of his nose as he reads through some documents the twins have handed him.
Caleb is trying not to chafe around your polycule. He is, he tells himself. Even if he glares or huffs, faking smiles when you're around to not hurt you. They care about you, almost as much as he does, he supposes. So they'll do, for now. If nothing else than shields if things get bad.
If EVER want access to you, they can get through these four first.
Instead of responding to the N109's king, he turns away, grabs his coat and leaves.
He isn't their tool to experiment on. He's only ever a tool in your hands.
The second time it comes up is much later, he was injured in a fight, throwing himself in front of a Golem to protect you. Taking the things fist to his raised arm. He'd pushed through the pain, even as his arm was mangled in the process. Firing rounds into the thing's head.
As soon as it was felled, you'd pulled him to the side, furious and agitated. He'd laughed, "I'm fine." He promised, even as he felt the fever rising up through his body. His body failing him as the agony ripped through his system.
He vaguely remembers collapsing, hearing you call his name, and then talking to someone. When he wakes, he's back at your home. Their home. His home? In one of Sylus' rooms where he tinkers on Mephisto.
Spread out over the table, as the man works, humming along mostly in tune to a song Caleb has heard you singing to.
He feels like he's floating, and it's hard to speak, when his body feels so dreadfully heavy. The flash and heat of a soldering iron as parts are repaired, is familiar, though not comforting. Taking him back to cold lab walls, and agonising electrical storms through neurons.
It is one point of heat in his left hand, that tells him he's not there. Your head is on the table next to him, asleep as you grasp onto him like he'll disappear without your hand anchored to his.
Caleb thinks for a moment, that he probably hasn't given you reason to believe he wouldn't.
"They didn't stop crying until you stabilised." Zayne speaks as he enters the room. Mugs on a tray, as he places them down out of the way. "At least your recklessness hasn't changed, Caleb."
There's something quite disconcerting about the disapproval he sees in Zayne's cool eyes. There's a familiarity to it, one he's seen multiple times growing up, as the man had tended to wounds he'd gotten trying to impress or amuse you.
Climbing trees, jumping off a roof, trying to fly with his EVOL, standing up to bullies.
Any manner of reasons that had ended up with him with torn skin or bruises, that Zayne had then sat him down and tended to. Bandaged with careful, and far too steady hands for a child.
Zayne goes to hand him a mug, before realising he has no free hands, smiling softly down at you with warm eyes. Caleb feels his heart and chest twinge and twist. For all the ways he knows you better than he believes anyone else has, that he is the only safe harbour for you… he feels like he's banging up against the wall of realisation every day.
It feels like he's been sent out without coordinates for where his home base is. Waiting for you to walk away and leave him behind.
Not needing him, where he knows he still needs you.
Is he so easy to replace?
"You're thinking stupid things again, tin-man." Sylus speaks, pausing his work to reach over for his drink, and to tug Zayne down by his tie to place a kiss of thanks to his forehead, "Always staring like you're waiting for the doors to close in front of you. Loving someone isn't easy. It's a choice."
Caleb wants to snap, that he doesn't need lectures from a criminal, but truthfully what part of his hands aren't caked in blood that marks him one too. Battering against the realisation that every choice he has made, has made him someone you argue with, struggled with. That your heart is kinder than his is, because he only cares for you, and you care so much for so many.
Even though his heart aches, as he goes to pull his hand away from your tight grip, you stir. The three watch as you blink awake, one eye opening to look up at him. A sleepy, soft smile tugging scarred lips up into endearment, as you tighten your hand again. You exhale a 'morning', on an airy voice, and then nestle closer, "I'm glad you're ok Caleb."
He watches as your eyes close and your breathing evens out again, exhaustion clear in the lines on your face, but the strain softened by relief, and feels the deep urge to cry.
"Maybe you should give us a chance to help you. Instead of continuing to close doors on yourself." Zayne offers, indicating where Sylus has resumed his work, fixing Caleb's arm.
Despite himself… the man's work is clean, and careful.
He files it away to think about, but not now. When your hand is so warm in his.
The third time, is when he's watching Rafayel paint your prosthetic. Occasionally, you flinch under the brush, laughter spilling out. When he questions it, you smile at him, mismatched eyes twinkling. "It tickles."
He watches as the fish gets gleeful at this, dipping it back into the metal-safe paint and swirling it up and down your arm. Your laugh escapes you in a boom, and you pull away from him, "Raffy, stop!"
Xavier's head is jostled out of your lap, and you fling yourself forward, to take the brush from the man's hand, painting over his nose, then his cheeks, then his throat. When you're satisfied, you pull away and nod, "What a good piece of art I've created." Sticking your tongue out at him.
Rafayel pouts and pokes your nose in retaliation, taking his brush back to draw a heart and then a fish on your cheek, "But you've smudged my masterpiece." He indicates the smeared paint on your prosthetic.
Caleb has watched this routine several times, every now and then, you need to get the casing of your prosthetic properly cleaned, not just wiped down. When this happens, the 'decoration' Rafayel paints on, has to be replaced. You say this like it's of the utmost importance, and he doesn't really understand.
He would never have thought about decorating his own, hiding it away often, because that's easier. It's better. If he doesn't see it, maybe he doesn't have to think about it. Even if the abyss of sensation reminds him every moment.
Still, he has seen you look down at the finished paintings, turning your arm to smile at them, and the way your eyes soften.
So that day he asks why, why is it so important? While Xavier complains about being disturbed, and finds his way to Rafayel's lap, who uses one hand to brush through his hair, and the other to clean up the mess of your arm.
You look at Rafayel, then back at Caleb, reaching out with your left hand to brush strands of hair away from Xavier's eyes.
He watches the way you tilt your head, the way you flex your fingers, and then the way you turn to look back at him. Serious, and considerate. Like you'd never actually put it into words before, just felt it.
"I didn't like it originally, my arm. It was a reminder of failure, a reminder that I was different." The words ache in Caleb's chest, like a dagger through the heart. He wants to pull you into his arms, tell you you're perfect, but he watches how carefully you hold your arm for Rafayel's work and stills himself. "When Raffy first painted it, it looked pretty. I wanted to look at it." Caleb watches, as the fish takes your metal hand in his and places a kiss to the wrist, before resuming his work.
The brand has gotten softer over time. Less painful.
He doesn't grate and ache and burn, to watch them hold you. He's not sure when he changed so much.
"Over time it just became a routine, it made me like it more. Like my body more, to decorate it. Now I can look at it without the art and not hate it, but I still like to see Raffy's art on my body." You kiss the man in question's head.
"I have a good canvas, cutie."
Xavier nods against Rafayel's lap, "Pretty." is mumbled against his legs.
You look over at Caleb then, eyes bright, hopeful. Warm. He's always likened you to the sun, and every moment you grace him with your presence is a moment he's too lucky, too blessed and too spoiled. "I bet it'd be nice on yours too?"
He notices the fish's eyes flicker to him, sees the careful observation, and forces a laugh through a tight throat, "Maybe." Is all he can offer.
Because truly, wouldn't it be too good for him, to be given the right to love the thing that helped make him a monster.
The fourth time, he brings it up himself. He's watching the stars on the balcony, as Xavier and Sylus play a game of kitty cards they're both far too competitive with. As Zayne reads and Rafayel sketches.
You're in his arms, staring up at the sky, eyes flickering closed as you become more and more drowsy.
As Caleb looks at you, he reaches his right hand, to entwine your metal fingers with his own. Running his thumb over your hand, the ache deep in his bones to do it with his left hand so he can feel it.
He wants to feel it with both. He wants to hold you in both hands and feel complete again.
Instead of staring and willing himself to suddenly know the heat of your skin under his right hand again. Instead of seeing agony in your face when he's in pain, and that's the only time his right hand responds to the sensation of you.
His throat is tight, when he speaks, turning his head slightly to the others, "If you can fix it, then do it."
Caleb is not used to asking for help, or letting anyone see his weakness. He has always been told all through growing up to protect you, that you need him to be strong, that you need him to keep you safe. If he was weak, how could you ever want to rely on him?
He's had to learn through yelling matches, and doors closed in front of you. Through bitten off insults and frustration. Through you leaving and threatening not to come back. Through days of struggling to get himself to breathe, to see you again. To listen to what you were saying, before he could let you walk next to him.
Even if his heart still won't relax. Even if he still thinks about that maze he wants to build, that world just for the two of you.
He doesn't want to capture the butterfly and watch it die in his hands.
He thinks if that happened, he truly would hate himself.
When eyes turn to him, including yours, blinking in disbelief, he turns to face forwards. "If you can, anyway." His voice steady, he forces his heart to be stable, his emotions to stay level. Every part of him is trembling under the weight of being watched by people who see more than he wants them to.
"Sure tin-man. You can trust us." Comes the chuckle from the side.
"I'll get in touch with some specialists." Zayne adds, placing a bookmark in his page and leaving the balcony.
You turn in his arms, so you can sit facing him, hands releasing his, and moving up to hold his cheeks. He's sure there's a blush colouring his cheeks at the way you lean in, small smile twisting and press your lips to his forehead. "You can trust them." You affirm, nestling against his neck, when he finally wraps arms around you. A lump in his throat he fights back, "You can trust me."
He knows, above all other things in this world. Caleb knows he can trust you.
He always has.
He sits through testing, but instead of the kind of tests he'd faced with the Fleet and EVER, you are there. A warm familiar presence that reminds him he's not a lab rat. A weapon. A tool. He's Caleb, he always remembers he's Caleb when you're there.
He sits there while you talk to him, and he follows along with the specialists Zayne has called in, while Sylus and Xavier work on his arm.
Both far more adapted to technology than he'd have known.
It's a slow process, as they adapt and change his circuitry. He sits and he tries to be patient, gritting his teeth through when the pain is clawing, and tries to remember what he's aiming for.
It's always easier when you're holding his hand.
During the time he grows somewhat used to the more constant presence of the others.
Zayne seems to fall back into old habits, of taking care of his childhood friends, though you often now sit him down to make him tea, instead. It doesn't stop him asking questions, 'Are you alright', 'where does it hurt most', 'do you need anything?'. The guilt at how he'd reacted to Zayne on their reunion bites at him most when he sees real warm concern in the man's eyes.
He's been offered snacks by Xavier, while he sits through tests. While it had never crossed his mind to question the safety of them, it was odd being offered the kindness. He isn't sure when he last was.
Rafayel mostly pokes his head in to snipe at Sylus as he works, and occasionally comments on Caleb's 'really bad poker face', as he tries not to respond to the taunt. He always comes with some water though, shoving the glass into Caleb's available hand, and then leaving.
Sylus' idea of comfort is singing while he works, and Caleb often wants to remind the man that doesn't comfort anyone but himself. You sometimes join in though, and he bites back the retort. It's not that out of tune, anyway.
He finds himself face to face with a lot of things, he doesn't feel he has the capacity to process in these moments. Pushing them down to deal with when the agony isn't great, and he's tired after long days.
On the day they finally finish, he feels as though he wants to sleep for weeks afterwards. He's drained and worn and though the tests and the refittings had been nothing as bad as under EVER's hand, it is tiring nonetheless to be changed.
Despite himself, however, he is glad for the careful hands. Though he would never admit this too loud to them.
When Xavier and Sylus step back, putting tools down and do one last check over with the screen next to them. You sit nearby, your leg shaking up and down as you wait, none too patiently.
He's seen you like this before, excited, nervous and stressed. Waiting and waiting and waiting. All the energy built up, ready to be released.
He can't say he doesn't feel the same.
"Ready?"
He nods, but he cannot make himself speak. He's waiting for this moment for too long. When the electronic voice rings out with 'rebooting', he doesn't feel anything. No change, no adjustment, his arm doesn't feel any different.
There's a drop in his stomach, like he's waiting for the realisation that it's failed, that nothing can help, that he'll never feel like anything but a robotic tool for EVER again-
Then there's warmth, as a hand slides into his, squeezing.
His heart jumps, and his throat becomes impossibly tight. Eyes moving to where your hand is inside of his. He can feel the pressure, and as he goes to squeeze, he has to remind himself to be careful, because you're flesh and blood. Warm skin, soft and real against his metal.
You're familiar and you're warm and you're there.
And he can feel you. The weight and the reality.
You wrap your metal arm around him to pull him closer and he cannot release your hand no matter what, because he finally, finally, finally, feels you. Careful cool fingers wipe the tears spilling from his eyes, as you hold him, smiling against his cheek as you pull him as close as you can, as he hiccups.
When he finally releases your hand, it's only so he can run his fingers over every part of you, letting you adjust yourself onto his lap, so that he can run fingers through your hair, over your cheek, your nose, across your lips. When you part them, to exhale, the gust against his hand makes his shoulders jump.
So he places his hand around the back of your neck, and kisses you. Salted tears and gasping desperation, as he traverses metal over the column of your throat, absent through the air he's stealing out of your lungs. Over your arms, that steady yourself around him, over your ribs, feeling every dip and every roll, he squeezes at your thighs to feel the weight in his hands, and gasps. Pulling away only because he needs to, as he rests his forehead on your shoulder.
You run fingers through the back of his hair, over his neck, as he tries to stop shaking. To stop shuddering at all the feeling of you in his arm, your skin against his hand. It's overwhelming and too much, and everything, but never enough. Like his brain could short circuit and he'd die in bliss.
Like he finally found everything he wanted again.
Like he feels whole.
He's acutely aware for the audience, as he sits overwhelmed on the table, so wrapped around you, he doesn't want to ever be two separate people again, and this time when he looks at his metal arm. Where his hand rests on your skin, where he can feel you alive and under his touch, where he sees the flesh give under his grip and can feel it once more.
Maybe he understands why you love to have yours painted.
Maybe he thinks about how he'll let Rafayel paint his own, if he wants.
Maybe he chokes out a thank you to the people he isn't sure he hates anymore.
Maybe you've led him back home once more.

Being a Folklore Dog
I’ve been meaning to write about my nonhumanity for a while now so hi, I’m dogbeast~! I’m a human-ish weredog shapeshifting fae dog monster ;-)
My system’s best guess right now is that I’m a fusion of two previous alters, but I would’ve fused before we realised we were a system so we don’t really remember how that process went down. I’m fairly sure I’m a fusion of a human lad and a black monster dog which is why I’m both human and a dog cryptid~ ♡
I’m specifically a black monster dog from British folklore like a barghest, shuck, gytrash or padfoot (I’m not a church grim even though they can appear as black dogs, that’s a slightly different kind of beast to me 😌). I have more of a connection to the area of the UK we grew up in than a lot of my other headmates and being a British folklore dog is really important to me and my connection to my home. I’m a pretty sociable and chill guy but I’m also super queer and it’s hard sometimes to grow up in a conservative rural area and feel like an outcast in a place that means so much to you. Black shuck is a monster but it’s a monster that belongs in East Anglia. I’m a medieval european historian too and it feels so right that I have this connection to the history of my home. I’m an old monster and I’ve always been here and always will be here.
✨Dehumanisation✨ reasons aside though being a black dog doesn’t feel like a negative thing for me at all. I’m a lot more stable and happier as a fused alter than either of my component parts were and I love being a big scary monster weredog~ Black dogs are also considered ghost dogs and fairy dogs and I think I can definitely see myself as a fae human weredog thing 👀
Literally in the middle of writing this lol I remembered that @who-is-page coined the word folcintera and I think that might fit what I am - a weredog who’s nonhumanity is intrinsically tied to British folklore 😌 Theriomythic works for me too I think! Honestly I haven’t existed in my current form for more than a few months so I’m still figuring out the details of what exactly I am haha but folcintera and theriomythic feel right for now

Huldufólk in Iceland
Unlike the conventional picture of elves from popular culture, Iceland's Huldufólk are subdued defenders of the environment who prefer to stay invisible to humans unless they want to show themselves. Their world is thought to coexist among hills, rocks, lava fields, and other unspoiled natural elements, giving Icelandic settings an enigmatic appeal and calling people to walk carefully around revered sites.

Though modern interpretations sometimes combine Huldufólk and Álfar, Icelanders set apart the two. Usually considered the "light elves" (Ljósálfar) and "dark elves" (Dödkálfar) of Norse tradition, Álfar are It is believed that dark elves dwell beneath, symbolizing shadows and mystery, while light elves are dazzling, loving entities infused with positive energy. Unlike the more fanciful, Santa-like elves found in holiday tales, Iceland's elves are ancient and strong with numerous personalities. Legends say that Huldufólk and Álfar lead strikingly similar lives to people, working in fields, raising animals, even berry-picking. One of the most well-known stories outlining Huldufólk's source links them straight to human lineage. One myth holds that the narrative started with Eve from Biblical tradition, visited by God. Embarrassed by her dirty children, she tried to hide them from view and in response God said, "That which you have hidden from me shall remain hidden from all." From this point on, these invisible-to-human-sight youngsters became Iceland's hidden people. This story emphasizes the conviction that Huldufólk are people with human-like qualities, wants, and emotions rather than just fairies or spirits. Icelandic stories also include space for the Yule Lads, cheeky characters connected with the Christmas season. Unlike the hidden people, the Yule Lads visit homes in December, each with a distinct personality, and they love practical jokes. Stories abound of how these Yule Lads participate in many kinds of pranks: one licks spoons, another smells newly made bread, and still others hide objects or steal food. These stories provide a lighthearted aspect to Icelandic mythology, counterpointing the serious attention paid to the Huldufólk and Álfar. This mythology revolves mostly around the Icelandic countryside itself. Huldufólk is said to reside in several natural formations and might grow protective of their area. Many legends relate to road building and other projects shelved or abandoned because of unexplained mishaps and accidents linked to disturbances in secret people's habitats. In reality, Icelanders often modify building designs or even halt development to avoid holy sites. A constant reminder of the Huldufólk's impact is the well-known Elf Hill event in the 1930s, where laborers trying to build a road ran across many challenges and technical breakdowns. Such events have strengthened Icelanders' conviction that peace and well-being depend on their respect for the land and its invisible occupants.

More recent incidents have further reinforced the role of hidden folk play in Icelandic society. The Icelandic Supreme Court stopped a project on building a highway in 2013 to prevent upsetting a rock said to be an "elf church." Only after the rock's relocation did work commence. These legends highlight the ongoing regard Icelanders have for the Huldufólk, with many of them— believers or not—treating the sites connected with them with great care. In Icelandic society, the relationship with the hidden folk transcends mere belief; it is a special fusion of reverence for nature, cultural identity, and national pride. According to University of Iceland research, around 62 percent of Icelanders either believe in or are open to the notion of hidden folk. The stories locals commonly tell about personal experiences or those passed down through the years reflect this strongly ingrained notion. Huldufólk and Álfar serve as a reminder of Iceland's natural landscapes and the need to live in line with the surroundings for many Icelanders.

Rescue Event- Phase Two/ Breach and Rescue

"We've got to hurry and take down the bloody door. Zek, Leonidas. Ge the breach charges ready." Eros said with a nod from the two Atelier soldiers as they walked up and primed the doors.

"What lies behind those doors is a myriad of a library of horrors that we will have to face. What I am most worried about is Zek's reaction if it is too late." Guangxian would say while feeling the reassuring hand of Krieg.

"We shouldn't be too late after all.....Zek has told me that is mother, Atya, is a very resilient person." Krieg said in a positive manner in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Krieg I under stand you are trying to bring up everyone's mood. but I am being serious here. Zek has not seen his mother in twenty two years. This is important to him.... and for us as well. Plus.. those MT's were powered by Fusion Energy... mate. Someone must have been a huge fan of your father....or you..." Eros said crossing his arms.

"Charges set! Time to roll and get these marks." Leonidas said getting in position along with Zek who was focused more than anything on finding his mother and getting her out of here.....

"The science lecture can wait at the University Of Brumel, mate! We gotta get ready and get inside!!!" Eros said getting in position with Guangxian, Hermes and Krieg following as the strike team got ready...with Eros closing his eyes to once again prepare.. then
BOOOOOOM!
The breaching charges went off as Eros, Leonidas, Guangxian, Zek and Krieg all rushed inside the enemy base while shooting at any opposing forces that remained to handle the breaching team or decided to fall back further into the base....

All three seasoned soldiers shouted in unison looking over the dead bodies as Guangxian used his Semblance; Neural Pulse to track any enemies that could scrambling around the area... however, there was none.

"Cleared to proceed. But we need to move fast....Krieg, Hermes I will deal with data deletion and getting rid of anything related with Project Immortalis. You, Zek, and Leonidas can deal with any enemy forces coming our way and rescuing those hostages." Guangxian would say with a nod from the trio.

"Thats a copy. Lets move out lads!" Eros said starting to run down the hallway with Zek and Leonidas in tow while Krieg and Guangxian started to run the other way to find anything on Project Immortalis.
OST: RESCUE THEM ALL
Within the base the sirens went off as the Solitas Liberation soldiers were getting in their defensive positions as quickly as possible. But Eros, Leonidas and Zek would enter the room and start shooting.
"Hurry! We need to buy the Elite Soldiers and the Scientists time!!!" One of the enemies shouted before they were met with a bullet from Zek who had the darkest glare on their face that was never seen before in just ages. This was a man on a mission to save what is closest to him...
Eros on the other hand would be in a clash with one of those Elite soldiers that managed to get a good hit on him with, Leonidas providing assistance through the Aurelius wrist blade stabbing the elite mook through his throat pulling it out while Eros immediately returned to work on the other soldiers with Leonidas assisting.
Finally, there were none left in the area as they were dead, but it was not over yet as a loud scream was heard along with the begging of children, men, women, and others. Which caused the three atelier soldiers to be spurred into action.
Inside the prison barracks the elite soldiers were preparing the people for their execution. "Now now. Dont worry its gonna take just five minutes. Actually no it aint gonna take five minutes its gonna be ri-" The elite soldier said before they were shot in the head by Zek and before the other soldiers could react they too were shot by Leonidas and Eros.
"Are you alright, we're with the Atelier Paladins! You have been liberated by us!!"Eros would say with the hostages feeling a wave of relief as some cried, some would cheer, and kiss their loved ones out of sheer relief as the nightmare they were once part of came to an end.

"Does anyone know where an Atya Sunna is!?!?! "Zek asked in a hurried manner with his eyes screaming towards the hostages with them remaining quiet and rubbing the bakc of their heads until one stood forward as he looked old... to which the snipers eyes widened realizing who it was....
"I never... thought I would hear that young voice again... Zek." Zek's village elder would speak.
"I... never thought I would see you again....." The sniper replied with old man chuckling."They sadly took her when you and yours arrived here..... they just began to experiment on her now." The elder spoke which Zek turned around and started to run quickly and panted....

"Oh Bloody hell not again! Zek!!! Wait up I'm trying to keep you bloody alive!!!" Eros shouted chasing after Zek.
OST: A Mothers Indomitable Love
The sniper panted and looked around frantically looking for the laboratories until he came across it... and finally he never shouted what he shouted with such urgency before. "Ийэ!!! Ийэ!!! (Mother! Mother!!!)" Zek would shout in his language when he came across one of the testing rooms where he saw two soldiers immediately shooting the first one ramming the other one with his bayonet as pulling the rifle out off the mans stomach he would open up the doors to see the Scientists injecting her with Project Immortalis!

"СYOX!!!!! (NO!!!!!)" Zek would shout loudly ready to shoot the two scientists until he was stopped by Eros in the nick of time.... while the scientists backed up while.

"Mate.... its over... she might be gone...." Eros would say shooting a glare at the scientists to stay right there while Zek approached his mother for the first time in ages taking off his mask revealing his face, with the left side having a hole where his teeth was seen and scar tissue took over the rest.

"Ийэ....өршөөгөөрэй.....(Mother.. I'm so sorry...)" Zek would say starting falling to his knees holding his mothers hands tightly.... pratying to whatever god was out there to let him see his mother.... alive.
And... a god answered....
"Mm..... my head.... " Atya would say before looking down at the person who was holding her hand tightly as he looked up to see his mother. With Atya gasping..... and immediately tearing up....

"Zek.....my baby boy!!!!" She shouted with glee holding her son tightly in her arms for the first time in twenty two years while Zek began to sob loudly holding his mom in his arms.
"MAMA!!! MAMA!!!! IM SO SORRY!!! I AM SO SO SORRY!!!!" He sobbed with relief while Eros removed his helmet with tears in his eyes rolling down his cheeks while the Scientists also began crying..... as while these two may have been their enemy.. but just knowing that finally after 150,000 experiments......
PROJECT IMMORTALIS WAS A SUCCESS....

Open Custom Night Devlog #1: After A Year, I’m Really Doing It This Time
Oh boy I have a lot I wanna say and rant about after working on this for such a long time. 
WHY AM I REMAKING UCN?

I really dislike Clickteam Fusion 2.5. When I was a wee lad I saw FNaF and wanted to make my own video games. I was inspired! So I spent the next 4 years of my life learning it. Huge mistake. CTF2.5 isn’t built for really doing any sort of complex games that might require multiple global objects or things of that nature. It’s very very limited. Not only that but it’s like 300 dollars for the full edition. Like no man fuck that. I decided that in order to prevent other kids from wasting their time learning such a dumb engine that’s hard to pirate and unreasonably expensive, I would remake UCN for it to act as an open source fangame template.
BUILDING THE AI

So when I was first figuring out how to make AI for FNaF games, like back when I was on Clickteam, I came up with this: (rng.randi_range(2/(Global.animatronic), 4/(Global.animatronic)) And it works fine. Except... it doesn’t go from 1-20, it went from 0.01 to 0.20. I found later that this gave super wild results as some characters wouldn’t be able to move for upwards of 300 seconds on level 1 which is just downright silly. I then changed it to 0.11-0.30. As of now, it works just fine. I can change the range depending on the animatronic along with whatever specific calculations they may need.
This has a few implications. Whereas there is a small chance of animatronics failing movement opportunities repeatedly keeping them in place for long periods of time, this new AI calculation for some characters will guarantee that they will ALWAYS move within a specific time range.
MAKING ANIMATRONIC MECHANICS AND BEHAVIORS
Freddy was quite easy to get going as was Chica. A bit of a stumper for a moment was Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica. At first, I just had them go into your office until they reached a hard coordinate and if the mask wasn’t on in time, they would kill you. This movement was also scripted in the code itself. This worked but it was just a tad cumbersome. I decided to update this to have them move to a coordinate object that I could freely move around without needing to update the code to. But their movement would continue to be scripted. It wasn’t until recently I realized that I have animation tools in Godot which means that I can now animate this process!

I basically did the same for Toy Chica and the rest was history! BB and JJ are pretty unremarkable although they were both annoying to do as well. I also used these new animation tricks on them.

Mangle wasn’t too bad to program- at first. She required a new system to be added, the vent snare system. To be fully frank, I’m not quite sure how the map was animated in UCN. Did he update position manually for each phase she moved in depending on the path? Maybe? I hope not. What I did is that I animated out his path with keyframes and then for each time his timer ran out, his phase was updated and that also updated what frame of the animation he was on.

A look at the animation and Mangle’s code.
The main thing towards the end is that I wasn’t quite sure how to make it so Mangle knew which snare was active. I could’ve probably made some code about it but I wanted to try something a bit outside of the box. Mangle has raycasts attached to her. When those raycasts come into contact with an area collision shape, he’ll check if it’s specifically a snare or the “freedom” object. If it’s a snare, she’ll go back to the start and decide on what path he wants to take to get back to you. If she touches the freedom object, she’ll find herself in your office.

Before I move to the next bit I want it to be clear that I wasted like 30 minutes to an hour on trying to fix a bug with Mangle’s vent animations not playing properly. The way that I set it up is that everytime their phase is updated, the animation player will seek a certain point in the animation that corresponds with this. Since the animation was set to 1FPS, that means that phase 1 will go to frame one and so on. But I didn’t change the other animations to 1FPS. So that caused some uhhh. Issues. Haha.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE?
Give love and kisses to this handsome fellow. Without this guy I wouldn’t have the proper office effect quite yet. For some reason, in Clickteam, this effect lags games hard. It seems to be much more optimized in Godot. Due to this, there may not need to be any performance settings for a while. I’ll likely still have to include them anyways but man it’s nice to get some good frames.
MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES TOO SMALL FOR SECTIONS
Destroying animatronics: In order to save on resources when running the game during a hectic night, animatronics are straight up destroyed on the start of the night when their AI is set to zero. This means that they’ll all still be loaded and checked through at the start of a night however so this is mostly for long term performance. A way to load in ONLY the necessary animatronics at the start of the night to help performance in general is being looked into.
Dynamic audio: Some audio within the game now changes volume automatically depending on where it’s located. Previously I believe this was done by hand via code (something like, if in office, set the volume of music box to 0). Now due to the new engine, the game will handle this by itself without any coding being needed.
Music box additions: “Metal Scratchin’ (Sonic Rush)” has been added to the lineup of music that can be chosen at random.
WRAPPING UP
While I disagree with Scott’s political views and morals, working on this project has made me sympathize with him more as a game dev. If you wondered why a lot of the UCN enemies feel like random garbage, there are two reasons
Game design reasons. There would be way too much mental stack and stress from each animatronic having a counter that requires multiple steps.
Making some of these systems really fucking suck and it’s easier to make clones of characters or guys who don’t really do much.
Even though I’m not making a brand new game, some of the changes I’ve implemented bring out inherent changes in how UCN functions which means the design of the game has also severely changed. This is on top of whatever liberties I’m taking as well. Game development is hard man. But it doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be a good template. This likely will not be a 100% recreation of UCN down to it’s easter eggs and extras but it’ll give new devs an idea!

do the fusion lads have dedicated roles in battle? (like medic, support, tank, etc.) If so, what are they?
Not quite! The logistics of fusion mean that they're not able to depend enough on a stable team structure to really specialize. Only two fusions can exist at the same time, and the lads can potentially unfuse and re-fuse with someone else in seconds, so it's more important that they're flexible and able to adapt to whoever they end up fighting alongside.
That being said, some fusions do fit certain archetypes, but whether or not they stick to them varies a lot. Those with a more professional approach will focus on their strengths and act where they're most effective, while those who aren't as good at recognizing how they can best help may try to do things they're not suited for. Some are not particularly suited for fighting in the first place, and others do not have much interest in developing combat skills even with the potential to.
So while the answer to your question is technically no, we do have specific battle headcanons for each fusion, ranked from most to least useful in combat:
Daian - A jack of all trades with superior strength, technique, and good strategy. Does lack supernatural abilities, but compensates for that with a variety of weapons. Able to switch between summoned weapons and Brian’s shield seamlessly, adapting to ever-changing battlefield scenarios.
Braniel - Exceptional skill combined with ever-growing strength and superb stamina. More of a technical fighter than a brute force one. Employs good use of ferrokinesis and improvised tactics which play to his strengths, as well as good use of Brian’s shield. Will continue to fight until he is downed for good. (note: pre-character development Braniel ranks lower, as he starts out hindered by insecurities and extreme competitiveness)
Seániel - Extremely technical and intelligent fighter, who plays well to his strengths and incorporates his abilities into combat (or lack thereof). Most strategies include ambushs, poisoning foes and then stalling them, or leading them into traps. Very slow with his battle axe, but can deal decisive damage if used correctly.
Seáthi - Rushes into fights and bombards enemies. Has excellent stamina and can outlast most foes while maintaining top performance. He is a well-rounded hand-to-hand fighter, but lacks significantly in strategy and can be easily outsmarted.
Danthi - Excellent skill and devastating strength. Relies on being able to knock out foes with one swing of his hammer or the blast of an energy beam. His weapons have a very broad range and are likely to hit multiple foes. Has the potential to be a formidable ally, but refuses to train or give his all in battle.
Kevthi - Extremely dangerous, albeit situationally. Has incredible destructive powers with his sheer size and pyrokinesis, though struggles to channel and direct them. Cannot make good use of Kevin’s dagger due to his size and struggles to summon his arm cannon. Is quite bulky and has good defence, but lacks agility and is an easy target.
Brivin - Very speedy and agile, making him difficult to hit, especially with Brian’s shield. Relies mostly on electrokinesis and Kevin’s dagger in close combat, where he lacks the ability to deal significant damage and has the potential to drop or lose his non-summoned weapons. His strengths in ranged combat are more towards strategic shots, as his harpoon is difficult to reload and often drags enemies towards him. Is best suited as a technical fighter/support.
Breán - Average overall with no particular strengths nor weaknesses. Can deal good damage with his scythe over a wide area, depending on how broad his swing is. Is more likely to stray away from a fight than to participate in it, focusing more on self-defence with Brian’s shield.
Seávin - Lacking in many areas. Agile with quick reaction times, but lacks in offence. His best counter-defence is his poisonous hair, which puts his head in danger if used carelessly. Relies mostly on Kevin’s dagger in close combat, and his crossbow at long range.
Keviel - Whilst his combat is graceful, it is very ineffective. Can summon palm sized meteors to be thrown and can hover in place, though these powers are only useful situationally. Relies heavily on Kevin’s dagger for close combat and needs focus for accuracy with his bow. His best defense is close-range light manipulation to distract or temporarily blind foes. Can be quite cowardly during battle.

They were late. Estimating for the duration of the trip, combined with search time and minor delays they still should have been back by the eighth day. Limu had found himself unable to focus, both out of worry and because there wasn’t much he could do without the fusion core. So a lot of his time was now spent just staring out into the wastelands beyond the slums. A dangerous place to be, but one that he was around often enough to know when not to linger.
This time he was accompanied by one of the slum’s older residents, the wispy white hair catching his eyes. [Gramma Rosé,] Limu greeted her as she came to stand next to him.
“Back here again, Limu?” Rosé grinned, staring out to the wastelands without being able to see most of it. Not that there was much to see in the first place.
Her words were picked up by the headset Limu always wore, and it attempted to display them on a fuzzy holo screen for him to read. He had to internally sigh as it autocorrected his name to lemur once again. Stupid old garbage equipment. [Just waiting for them to get back. They don’t need to be gone so long. I’d rather have them back empty handed than-]
“Ohhh, slow down my boy,” Rosé cautioned with a chuckle, raising her hand to pat over his own. “You speak too fast for these old eyes to see.”
Giving a sympathetic smile, Limu held his hands and refrained from rambling again. It wasn’t like there was much they could do about Rosé’s eyes either.
“Wilimur is getting worried about you being out here so much. Don’t want to lure the ole beasties out after all,” Rosé cautioned, cupping her hand around Limu’s arm and directing him towards the inner slums. “Come get some dinner lad. They’ll be back before you know it.”
Heaving a silent sigh, Limu tore his gaze away from the horizon and turned to obediently follow Rosé back to the center parts of the slums. It was safer there since the monsters were less likely to burrow into areas with a lot of buildings. Even if they were mostly broken down. More debris to bonk into apparently. But as he realized something he ended up turning back around. He thought he might just be seeing things, but after squinting he could see a puff of dust in the distance.
Tapping Rosé’s shoulder, Limu gestured towards the horizon. [Dust,]  he signed, then realized she probably wouldn’t be able to see what he did. [Hear anything?]
“Huuhhh, dust? No, I don’t… Well, I do hear something I think. A low drum like a motor,” Rosé responded, looking outside again in mild confusion. “Is that them then? I told you they’d be back soon. Ian’s got good time, he never makes anyone wait for long.” She didn’t have enough energy to be waving her arms like Limu was now, but she could still be there to greet them.

Bunnymund frost au
The year was 1868 when bunny remember his first time meeting and fusing with his partner whom asleep cuddling next to him in his nest with snow coloured hair and body that looked like it was as delicate as snowflakes and bunny treated him with such care required as he didn't want to lose his snowflake.
In past, 1868
It was around burgess when the snow storm was being created as he travelled looking for the source as it got in the way of his holiday and he found it with a single spirit which like himself now was beautiful but he had to push that aside and he started having a go at the poor lad which if he looked then instead of later would of saw the signs of self hatred and loneliness.
He didn't have time to argue with the spirit which he never asked his name but he knew he couldn't get around everywhere without a boost or lift as he stared at the floating spirit so he grabbed the spirit and stated "you galla got in my holiday so you and I going to fuse so we can fix it and I Consider it finished okay " he didn't let the spirit say anything A he started to spin himself and the snow spirit together until they fused.

He looked around at the landscape of spring touching with winter.
He could feel the spirit not understanding what had happened and he also felt the emotions of being alone and scared which made bunny feel awful so he asked " if you wanted we could defuse and I'm sorry about having a go and what's your name" the spirit looked at him unsure " jack frost and let's fix your holiday". Bunny model as the two opened their eyes.
Outside
They opened their eyes as they stumbled forwards unused to existing and looked towards the pond that was in front of them as they wanted to know how they looked. The first thing they saw was a white and greyish blue furred pooka which had a green eye on the left and blue eye on the right and they looked lower as their body was muscular but slim with four arms in total all like a pooka but with some human features and his feat were the same but with white included. They having gotten used to their body.they started to run towards their nearest area of the town as to hide eggs for the kids which was more fun than bunny had thanks to jack and this continues to every other place that needed easter.
They were finished but the two stayed fused until they arrived at the Warren which the two defused still having a hand in the others and looking into the others eyes having lost their heads to the rush of thoughts however it's bunny first to speak " got the sense you hoped to have someone to see you and I can so if you wanted to talk or just be around someone. Thud against the earth and the Warren let you in and also that was fun frost " jack is surprised by bunny words but he doesn't want to go yet so he asks " can you show me around and talk more" bunny smiles ad he places a hand on jacks shoulder as they walk away.

The many ways in which Fallout 4 could have been better.
I’ve had so many ideas run across my mind that I have no hope of getting them all in writing, but some of the big ones..
During the opening, when your spouse goes into the cryopod in Vault 111, instead of merely waving to you, they could signal “I love you” in ASL. Your character mirrors the gesture and whispers “I love you too, hon.” Even if sign language never comes up in the game again. Just that little thing could mean so much to some players.
The intimidate perk could be used to resolve some situations peacefully. In Diamond city when that guy pulls a gun on his brother, thinking him a synth, you can pacify him if you have the perk - and nothing happens. The security goons don’t arrest him, they just stand around doing nothing and the encounter does not resolve until you put your gun away or walk away, where it resumes as scripted and security shoots him. 
Not to mention in the Railroad ending... Haylen surrendered to me, and then Tinker Tom comes along and fucking murders her anyway. How awesome would it be if you could talk her into joining you, in order to reduce collateral damage. While you’re planting bombs on the Prydwen, Haylen rounds up the squires (+Emmet) and take them down to the ground and away from the blast radius. Or you could even tell Desdemona that no, we’re not blowing up the Prydwen, there are children on that ship. Your plan sucks and I will not do it until you come up with a better one. At least in the Institute ending they had some time to evacuate - the last thing I saw before being forcibly relayed away was Elder Maxson in power armor, running away.
Everyone has already mentioned actually fixing Danse’s dialogue post-Blind Betrayal. A redemption arc would be nice too. He doesn’t strike me as the type of hypocrite who would accept himself being a synth while still hating every other synth in the game.
You learn Danse’s synth designation, but you can’t do a damn thing about it. You can’t ask the Railroad about what happened (granted, they’d have a lot of personnel changes since 97 originally escaped, but Deacon at least was probably still around back then, or they might have records. Or maybe those were destroyed at the Switchboard)
You can’t ask anyone in the Institute. Not even Liam. Obviously he’s too young to have been involved back then, but he’s pretty good with computers, surely he could dig up information about old synth escapes.
you never actually get to see the intel that Quinlan decrypted. All you get to know is he was on the list of “missing or escaped” which Arthur Maxson can’t tell apart from “infiltrator unit” and they announce his synth designation to the entire division as if there is no risk of actual institute infiltrators who can then contact their superiors to get the recall code. So I get at this point that bringing Danse back isn’t an option, but surely there is no danger in Danse existing after the institute is destroyed. When Maxson tells you that we will never speak of this again, I wanted to tell him that I’ll obey that order until the institute is destroyed, but after the dust settles, we need to talk.
Or how about some delightfully awkward situations where BoS members see you with Danse and you run away instead of killing them. Have Maxson exposed as a liar. Undermine his authority. (They sure gave us a lot of fanfic fuel...)
How about being able to assign settlers to corpse disposal or general clean-up and slowly over time get rid of those trash piles that are everywhere and those infernal skeletons that you can’t even drag around. But no, we had to get a mod for that.
How about after getting rid of the raiders at Nuka World, they actually start wearing normal clothing and take off the damn shock collars and get someone to work in the radio station - it’s still on air, Red Eye just left the studio without turning anything off. I bet they meant for that guy in Cappy’s Cafe to take over and then just never finished it.
Also wouldn’t it be cool if you ran into Red Eye in a random encounter that could go many ways depending on what you say to him. I wanted to say I loved his station and it was the only thing I missed from before I killed everybody. Offer him a ton of caps to come back and work for me again.
If you let the raiders take over Commonwealth settlements before turning on them, they’ll randomly show up and try to kill you - again and again, long after you exterminated them at Nuka World. How do they keep getting new recruits when all their leaders are dead? How does the Brotherhood keep getting new vertibirds when they crash all the time? There are always more raiders. Where was this massive population when I was just thawing out? Encounters should get less frequent to reflect the dwindling population.
There is no sense of scarcity beyond the first few levels. Things respawn at a ridiculous rate. Just the other day I was picking up some scavenge, wandered into a different area, backtracked and went through the same area later the same day and everything had respawned. This is so upsetting to me. I want my efforts to mean something. I am cleaning up the commonwealth, one discarded beer bottle at a time, but all the clutter just keeps coming back! I hate it. I have yet to play a character who is a cannibal because I really can’t imagine needing to do that when the world is just full of food. I plant some crops and tell a settler to tend to them, and when I return a day or two later it’s ready for harvest.
Speaking of harvest, there are no seasons. The daylight hours don’t get longer in summer or shorter in winter, there is no sense of the passage of time, the date is just a string of numbers in your pip-boy with no meaning whatsoever, you get a quest and everything just waits on you, for months or years, Father doesn’t start to question your dedication to the Institute when you STILL haven’t relayed to Mass Fusion six months later, nor will he be a good boy and just die already from his rapidly progressing terminal illness, no he’s going to force you to kill nearly all of your friends before he’ll let you actually take over. Not that you get to do ANYTHING at all as Director. All you get is the institute power armor paint job and the ability to buy synth relay grenades. You don’t get to say “Oh by the way I’m abolishing slavery, have fun doing your own menial work from now on” (I keep thinking I’d be able to do more good for the synths as the leader for the institute than I ever could with the railroad) and why can’t I tell Desdemona to go deeper underground and I can just tell Father they had already left when he sent me there to kill them. Why can’t I tell Elder Maxson to go back to the Capital Wasteland because literally no one in the commonwealth wants him there. We have the Minutemen to defend the settlements and the Railroad to fight the institute and all he’s doing is making things worse.
And let MacCready stop being such a deadbeat dad and bring his son to live with us in the Commonwealth.
I loved the Far Harbor DLC, but it was so disappointing that none of the companions other than Nick had any new voice lines. 
Why can’t I bring my romanced companion to the Memory Den for a date in a simulation of the pre-war era? Danse would love that, I’m sure..
why can’t I pet cats? Why didn’t Bethesda spend a quarter of the effort they did on dog animations on making cats look more realistic. They should be napping on beds and chairs, rubbing up against settlers’ legs and tripping them and interacting with their environment too. Have you seen the animation that passes for a cat’s yawn? The first time I saw it, I thought Ashes was about to throw up a giant hair ball.
If you are caught pickpocketing, that’s it, game over. Diamond City Security doesn’t try to arrest you, it’s shoot to kill. Same in the institute. I’m sorry to say it, but that was something Skyrim did better. 
why can’t you romance non-companions like in Skyrim? I want to marry Arturo Rodriguez and be Nina’s step parent.
Synth relay grenades should not work after blowing up the Institute.
The AI should not fall off things quite so often. I should not go through an entire Research Patrol assignment for the Brotherhood only to have the Scribe I’m escorting fall to their death when I take the vertibird up to the Prydwen.
When an enemy panics and decides to run away, they should keep running and not turn around and go right back to trying to kill me seven seconds later.
my companion should not be quite so bloodthirsty. They should not attack a fleeing enemy, particularly a civilian like the institute scientists.
Every companion shouldn’t have all the same animations. Preston should not inhale Jet if you linger around on the top floor of Drug Den. Curie should not smoke.
The companions should have preferences as to what food they prefer to eat, which chems they take or under which circumstances. I gave Danse a whole bunch of different stuff to see what he’d use, and the first time I got in a fight he had taken med-x and berry mentats (fun fact: your companion takes berry mentats and you see the pink haze). You’d think Yao Guai ribs were his favorite things to eat, but no, it’s just that the AI will favor taking anything with damage reduction. Other companions do the same. Synths will not favor Fancy Lads Snack Cakes. Little things like that would have made the game so much more fun to me.
Damn it there should have been a terminal with journal entries in Danse’s quarters on the Prydwen. Or he should have continued to update his terminal at the Cambridge Police Station. Maybe wash his face once in a while after the Prydwen arrives.
You should be able to give people caps. I hate how caps only flow one way in the game. You can take your settlers’ measly pocket change, but you can’t pay them for working for you. You buy property in Diamond City but you never pay taxes or utilities. (that might help with the sense of passage of time).
You build a peaceful utopia at your settlements, but your settlers never form relationships or start having kids now that it’s finally safe to do so. The world could feel a lot more real. (I mean I love how absurd it is, but absurdity and realism can coexist, I promise)
“Crop’s been growing pretty good lately” - there’s never any crop failure, or natural disasters making food a scarcity. Rad storms don’t affect anyone but you, and people will not seek shelter.
Nick and Ada remind you that they don’t need to eat or sleep or anything, but neither does any other companion. I mean I guess they’re adults who can take care of their own basic needs, but they don’t have any money of their own unless you specifically tell them to pick up caps you find.
You never find out where Danse got that lovely suit of X-01 power armor from.

Here's a weird one! A WEIRD ONE! And I will not compromise on it one bit!
A RESTAURANT/RIDE HYBRID, motherfucker!!!
And what IP will we pin the hopes and dreams of this technical innovation? Raya and the Last Dragon, of course!
Everyone won't shut up about how much they love BOUN! Well, shit, kid runs a boat restaurant, why not have a boat restaurant in the damn park!?
Outside, it looks just like it does in the movie and you're like "now, how is there a whole ass restaurant in there?" Here's the trick, it's not! It's down the way in a backstage area that you get to through a hidden tunnel!!! That's just the show building, stupid!!! (Hey, gang, today was a rough day, so, I'm being extra...whatever ya call that to force myself to bounce back)
Ok, so, ya get seated and it looks like you have the whole place to yourself but in reality you've been taken into one of many lil roomskis with screens on the wall to make it appear that way. You order and then WHOOPS! It all goes wrong and Boun (maybe on the screen out the window) is like "Uh oh! The Druun are comin'!" Or Naamari or if we can come up with at least one more bad thing it could be a Star Tours-esque revolving threat. Maybe it's even broken up into 3 different modular beats that can make up a different adventure each time, too.
Book it! And all of a sudden, you're rockin' and a reelin' down a winding river through the world of Kumandra! Cameos on the screen from Raya, Sisu & her siblings, Tuk Tuk, The Con-baby and the monkeys, you know, the lads. And yeah, ya roll your eyes that it's a screen ride but then OOPS! The screens disappear at a certain point and you see some goddamn animatronics in practical environments outside your window, like Jungle Cruise!
Ride ends and now ya barely have to wait for your food! Food is kind of a pan-Asian fusion deal, with an emphasis on shrimp, of course! Anyway, you get to eat in a private, peaceful little space with a very pleasant view. A nice break from it all. Decompress. Then you leave and come out a different part of the park that is, deceptively close to where you got on but through positioning, doesn't make you think that!
Would this function well? Eh, probably not? Would it be cool? Sure! Would it fall along hte lines of Star Cruiser, making it clear people don't want hybrid experiences like that as much as we think? Yeah! Is it best realized as a Jim Hill rumor that the P:TRboys riff on? Maybe!

Bob Marley One of the first shows I ever worked on. This was at the Santa Barbara Bowl. There was a downstairs dressing area and instead of using a catering service he and the Wailers brought their own people, I assume from Jamaica. They didn’t want any white people to touch the food only their crew, this was for religious reasons. I recall that they ground up coconut and sort of battered some fish with this and grilled it. Bob was much shorter and smaller than I imagined and as I am not too tall he was about my size. He had an intimidating look and I was young and for some reason felt a bit intimidated by him. Great show and boy did he and his crew/band smoke the weed. This was the one and only show I worked with Bob. Little River Band.. Nothing much to recall, seemed nice. Black Sabbath/Blue Oyster Cult-Ventura Fairgrounds. Well, I don’t like this kind of music but they were surprisingly nice and friendly. I doubt anyone will remember a band called “Honk” but they were from Laguna Beach and did the soundtrack for a surfing movie called “Five Summer Stories”. They were very laid-back, down-to-earth and a Things I Do At Christmas Time… Books t Shirt to work with. They played a UCSB stadium show with The Beach Boys.

The North East: A cultural titan waiting to be unleashed

I have been thinking a lot about why the North East is never really given the same credit culturally as other Northern areas like Yorkshire or cities like Manchester. Although the North as a whole is underrepresented in a lot of conversations about our national story, the North East in particular feels strangely absent. 
The North East's history is unique and beautiful, defined by its surprisingly untouched and almost mystical landscape. The dense and isolated Kielder Forest of Northumberland divides England from Scotland, and Holy Island, the birthplace of Christianity in England, has to be seen to be believed. 
Historically, the North East was the centre of medieval learning, where the Kingdom of Northumbria was the richest and most scholarly of the Kingdoms of England. It is where the first history of Britain was written by a Briton. Our dialect is a fusion of Scandinavian and Old English. The North East is home to England's first stained glass windows and the world's first animal protection laws at Lindisfarne. Our people are diffident and proudly independent, always insistent we are the 'true North', distinct from Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester. Our folk songs share more in common with Scotland and Norway than the rest of the North, sharing many common words and stories.
From the Pitmen Painters to the brass bands of Durham Miners’ Gala, and the lyrical speeches of “Red” Ellen Wilkinson who led the Jarrow March, the art of the North East is inflected with its politics of solidarity and defiance.  
I'm reminded of the words of the playwright J.B Priestly, written when he was touring England, that so much of North East culture is indebted to and led by a strong working-class:
"In Gateshead, we passed some little streets named after the poets, Chaucer and Spenser and Tennyson Streets; and I wondered if any poets were growing up in those streets. We could do with one from such streets; not one of our frigid complicated sniggering rhymers, but a lad with such a flame in his heart and mouth that at last he could set the Tyne on fire."
Gateshead has never been recognised with a Poet Laureateship, but it need look no farther for candidates than Alex Glasgow, who gave the world “The Socialist ABC”, one of the greatest and most humorous left-wing folk songs ever written.
Socialist politics, a strong sense of community and our isolation from the rest of England have melded to create an idiosyncratic and unique culture of our own. 
I hope the Great Exhibition of the North, starting this month, can finally put an end to our cultural 'inferiority complex', and we can show the world why the North East has so much to be proud of. While the project began as a piece of Tory triangulation to pretend they had an interest in the cultural life of the North, I hope that in resistance to these cynical beginnings, it can flourish into something that truly shows the North East at its finest.
