🎨: I usually write in silence. Strange, but it helps me keep focused and convey my thoughts better, as I fall into a groove. I sometimes listen to music, but only to help me convey thoughts and emotions if the scene is particularly charged with it.

🎼: Honestly anyone who would contribute anything based on a fic I wrote is wonderful, for someone to take the time to create something inspired by something I wrote, it means a lot. 🥺 If I could be selfish, however...it would be art over playlists. There's something to be said to see a scene or moment you wrote visually come to life... for me, it's a feeling of pure joy. On that note, I cannot be thankful enough for the fanart you did for To Dance With You. I still appreciate it immensely.

😈: Unless it's an AU, I usually stay mostly Canon compliant, with divergence here or there to fit my fic needs, for the plot I'm writing, or for shipping!

Golden Sun: The Lost Age was probably the defining moment that really sucked me into video games/fantasy. The first Djinni you get in that game is Echo.

So that's the first part of the username.

As for the gekko part. Lizards are pretty neat and I like them. And gekkos rhymed/rolls off the tongue well so yeah, bam, echogekkos.

Oh man, when I saw this on the list I kinda hoped no one would ask me it. 

I don’t know. Genuinely. 

There are moments in some of my fics that I think are OOC and got left in because I didn’t know how else to do it, but since no one has said they think they’re OOC maybe they’re not? 

But it’s hard to say. I want my writing to be good and in character. If you see me lose my characters, tell me. I'll need to get them back.

I get SO emotional over it, it’s like one of my favorite things ever

38. So laconicfairy is a combination of the name of a college literary magazine I got to work on and also of my love of faeries!! The word laconic means "using very few words," and I love that!! :D Even though I talk way too much xD And laconicstardust came about because stardust sounded pretty to me :D

Three Ships: Copying laconicfairy....I should mention some of the other ships I follow (cause I think everyone at this point knows I am Miphlink trash). Love me some good Midlink (LoZ). I don’t follow it nearly as much now, but still always nice to come back too once in a while. I blame @moneneki for getting me on the Zutara (AtLA) train with your reblogs, to the point where I am now hunting for good fics of it. I have come to embrace this ship and I don’t regret a thing. Finally, Tali and MShepard (Mass Effect), for when I want to mix it up a little and not fall into Shakarian.

Currently Reading: Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson, the third book in the Stormlight Archive series. I. LOVE. HIS. WORK. Stormlight Archive was recommended to me recently by my brother and I have been binge reading it ever since. It’s a fantastic fantasy genre story with absolutely great world building, deep and flawed main characters, good pacing, and a extremely interesting plot. I highly recommend others to pick it up and read it as well.
