Armand's smile is crooked. Not his pristine perfect lilt of lips that he does when he knows he's being observed. When he's happy or emotional and his smile is genuine. Then his smile is crooked. It tilts up more on the right side than on the left. It's the best goddamned thing that Daniel has ever seen and he bets none of those fuckers that used to paint him ever captured it. He bet they never fucking bothered to catch it, or worse tried to 'correct' it into the pristine practiced tilt of lips. Made Armand correct it. Right now Armand his smiling, his small fangs on display, Daniel's blood on his mouth, dripping down his chin and pooling on his chest. His head is in Daniel's lap. Laughing over something Daniel said about his old Poloroid that they'd just unearthed from a closet. Both of them blood-drunk and giggling. Daniel from the man he drank at the bar, and Armand from drinking from Daniel. "The film is so old I don't even know if it will take, man." Daniel tells him, laughing. He brings his hand to Armand's hair, fingers tangling in mussed curls. "Well try it out." Armand insists. "But if it works it's only for you." "Only for me." Daniel takes the picture awkwardly with one hand while Armand laughs at him. He ends up dropping the camera before he could even tell if it would come out, Pulling Armand up and kissing that cooked smile. As if he would ever want to share it.

Took a million screencaps of this scene suffering watching Hotel Portofino and knew I needed a smiling Armand so much I did two versions and even write a ficbit. Needed it so much that I did line art without being paid to do it.
