RE4 is strange.

RE4 is really, really strange.

it's hard to talk about how strange RE4 is because it all seems so obvious, and yet the fact that it's so obvious makes it no less strange, you suspect it has to be saying something, but the things it's saying seem so obvious, and yet nevertheless, it remains not only strange, but very, very strange.

I don't think RE4 is the sort of thing you can talk about it.

I think RE4 is the sort of thing you can only keep noticing new things about, because it's something like an idiot fool genius who will keep teaching you because you're convinced it's so stupid and obvious.

Calling it Warholian pop art feels like a disservice because I feel that's now a dominant culture mode you can simply assume. It feels like Warholian pop art with an almost Dostoyevskian sense of understated tragicomic ironist mysticism, but as a video game, which is unthinkable.

So I'm not.

@liefortheliar pointed out to me that the scene where Salazar’s hand gets pinned with Leon’s knife in og RE4 has the same energy as that one scene in IASIP and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to unsee it

I guessed the reveal with the sovereign guy was coming, also I kinda would've been pissed if it had turned out to actually be the Lord Ruler because we already did a twist identity reveal with him, plus he was annoying, let him stay dead. So now it's confirmed to be Kelsier I can FINALLY get some answers
