this last post actually reminds me of when i read "the murder of roger ackroyd" after seeing the tv show adaptation so many times bc is the show insanely good? yes. is the mystery well executed? of course. but is it one of the christie books that just CANNOT be adapted without missing the main point of unreliable narrator and how good it makes it? also yes. like the book feels so much different u just have to acknowledge that u are limited by the medium you choose and that sometimes those limitations prove to be a hindrance, which means the story will have to be different. its a fact. that's just what it is.
#sorry got carried away but media adaptation is a very dear topic to me#i just love talking about it#and its fascinating to see bc it does push whoever is doing the adaptation to find tricks to make it work#and it can lead to amazing works#different but amazing. and that is the wonder of art lads.#léo.txt

went to the market at 7.30 like im 70 and this is the most eventful my week will be

i am a smart person (needed to buy a plug that fit my adapter bc of foreign product) so i brought the adapter with me (smart move) but im also easily distracted (undiagnosed mental illness that makes me behave like a toddler) so i forgot i had the adapter w me and bought the wrong kind (stupid move)
#idk why but i only remembered as i was walking home. and then it hit me. and i was like waiiiiiit.#so i took it out and guess what? doesnt fit. idek if there are plugs that would fit it#and i dont want to buy another type of adapter bc i have one that came w the product#and also those are 50e. thats outrageous.#so yeh. step 1 of my quest to find a proper electric plug for my jp switch. status: failed#léo.txt

#watched a show today where they mentioned how they need to interview a parent for autism diagnosis#and i was curious if it was really a thing here tol#and apparently it is lmao 👍#and usually thinking about the whole process of doing that on my own at the sweet age of 25 makes me feel terrible#but ive had multiple people point out to me that i should do it so ive considered it#but now i feel proper like kms over it bc what. the fuck even.#my dad is dead im not sure my step qualifies as a parent bc she didnt not raise me and wasnt married to my dad#so whaaaat it means is. itd have to be my actual birth m*ther. which.#im 100% serious when i say id rather die than have her tell mental health professionals what she thinks about me#and my potential autism#so not only am i now back to 0 when it comes to trying to convince myself it could be good#i also feel incredibly suicidal bc this made me think about the m*ther lmao.#what good times we're having lads#just :) great times :)#léo.txt
