i’m gonna scream kyuushi spoilers ahead

I haven’t found all the raws somebody show them to me for helsing and grandpa but like that newest chapter huh? jesus what am i gonna do about this info?

tf when you give your natural enemy the one thing that can kill you, immortal and timeless. Forged from your own blood so you can become equals. and his soul fuses into it posthumously. then you tell him your name so he has the power to completely destroy you. you know as a token of friendship

but actually i was more interested on the parallels of draluc and D. in the grandpa tag chapter, one part struck me the most and that was when they said only draluc is most similar in thinking to D, that’s why only one who can command them towards victory (i wonder if his constitution wasn’t so weak, he’d be able to fight 1-on-1 and win)

there was also a panel there in which D sees Ronaldo and remembers helsing, which cost him the game. God grandpa, you lost because of gayness. get a grip. also i wonder if draluc knew about it and exploited that

the parallels haven’t really been subtle. at first introduction to D, we already see how he’s so free spirited and does what he wants without regard for others so long as it promises fun, a true hedonist. funny enough, isn’t that just draluc too? 

at the end of the chapter he walks over to draluc and tells him to cherish his human friend. so we kinda knew he had a human friend. who also turned out to be a hunter. THE Hunter. and apparently he’s been pestering the guy like how draluc has been doing so to Ronaldo. no for real helsing is literally as tsundere as rona lmao also as cringefail

there’s really no point in this. i just want to get it off my chest lmao. like what does it mean? the parallels of the strongest vampire and the weakest vampire and their hunter friends. why is he most similar to the guy?

Spoiler: not so many changes in this part, so it's mostly manga vs anime comparison this time.

Noticeable changes or other interesting facts are explained in detail. When there are talks about some changes in the translation, I will mostly be talking about the subbed version.

・In the manga, Draluc and Ronald's exchange happens offscreen.

・Ronald's reply to Draluc's statement ("それは誰でもそうだろう/That's what anyone would do.") is cut out in the anime.

・In the manga, Ronald suggests to lure the kid out with Draluc's Vii at first. After the obvious refusal, Draluc says the following words. "君こそ退治人なら子供が欲しがるアイテムぐらい持ってるだ / Since you're a vampire hunter, you definitely carry something the kids would want to have." Then comes the punchline with Ronald's autobiography. In the anime, it cuts straight to the punchline (Ronald suggesting to lure the kid with his book).

・In the manga, Ronald is still holding the eye-beam in his hands when questioning Draluc. Draluc then (in a pixel font) asks to stop aiming Mebiyatsu's beams at him before he could give an explanation. In the anime, Ronald is satisfied to fry Draluc only once.

There’s nothing hotter to me than wacky gag manga randomly have dark and creepy moments every now and then.

As much as I love the comedy in this series for the most part, I do wish they’d explore the dangerous side of things more often, just for a little spice! So this was really great.

Hinaichi becoming smaller the further she walks into this other domain is interesting. I think it’s either an illusion tactic to make her more feeble and easy to handle, or else a direct reflection of how young and weak she is compared to the beings that appeared before her.

Just as one of them tries take a bite out of her, a silhouette not unlike Hinaichi’s would-be assailants steps in. The enemy creatures ask who they are, and why they’re interfering - but the shadowy figure doesn’t answer, putting a tight grip on Hinaichi's hand as they pull her to safety (and losing their shoe in the process.)

With a gasp, Hinaichi finds herself back with Ronaldo and Draluc. She thinks she must have been dreaming and starts to ask Draluc about it, who’s response is a quiet smile that makes her drop the subject.

We’re left wondering what it was all about - but we can be sure that Draluc really did help Hina away from something because

A) I really hope Madhouse finds a way to make this Sanz-chan’s introduction in season 2 if they decide to include her. I feel like they could pull it off. B) I have a horribly strong desire to ship her and Handa together lol

I mean it’s so easy to picture? Sanz would just say something like “Ronaldo-san’s so amazing, no man could ever make me fall harder than I have for him (◡‿◡✿)” but Handa would overhear and go

before aggressively attempting to seduce her just for the sake of one-upping Ronaldo, but surely no real feelings will come of this pursuit right... unless??

And of course they’re both hopelessly obsessed with Ronaldo but they have a common interest in that way and I don’t really like it when fans get together with their idols? Sorry Ronaldo instead I think it would be really funny if the two of them kept meeting while stalking Ron and just end up doing more and more couple things on accident as they go - buying food, shopping, holding hands- oops, too lewd >.>

I mean they’ve already exchanged contact info if nothing, so yeah. Just been thinking about it a lot lately.

But also if Grandpa got his dagger before the unfortunate monkey possession would Helsing live in grandpa's body?
