which one of your Demon slayer Ocs do you think would get along with Yuzumani?? :0

It's been so long since I've looked at my KnY ocs... AAAAHHHH!

Okay looking at my own ocs' profiles and then Yuzumani's profile...

Sadly I don't think Yuzumani would get along well with my main KnY oc Shizuka Hisasue. Shizuka is kind of like Inosuke and Sanemi. She's got a rough personality and is quick to snap at people. She does have a softer side, as she tries to be as helpful to others as possible, but she struggles to let herself be vulnerable and ask for help. Shizuka wants to be strong and aggressively pushes back against people being nice to her because she doesn't want to be coddled. So if Yuzumani doesn't get along with Sanemi, it'd be an uphill battle for her and Shizuka to get along. It's a little sad since Shizuka deeply admires Kyoujurou and would want to be seen favorably by someone that he likes/is involved with.

(Shizuka: If Rengoku-sama's gi-gir-girlfri- romantic partner... If she hates me, I'll never be able to look Rengoku-sama in the eyes ever again. Because if someone he adores doesn't find me favorable, it means that I'm probably not good enough to know him... Tanjirou: Shizuka, you're saying weird things. Maybe eat some senbei and then you'll feel better.)

As for who Yuzumani would get along with, probably Ayami Itohara. Interestingly, they both have Breath Styles branching from Breath of Water. Ayami's Breath of Snow is a defensive and gentle form of swordsmanship. Like, imagine if Breath of Water's Fifth Form - the one that delivers a painless death - was a whole Breath Style itself. Ayami is soft spoken and will always play peacemaker. While she can be a pushover at times, Ayami still has the resolve to fight demons and show kindness to others. She's a spiritual person, having grown up with Catholicism in her home though never fully committing to it or any other faith (like Buddhism or Shintoism). Even if Yuzumani is typically cold and straightforward, Ayami will accept it and let Yuzumani open up at her own pace.

Personality

Yuzumani Is Cold, straightforward, and has a very Cut-To-The-Chase attitude. She doesn’t have much of a social life, and there are only a few close members of the Demon Slayer Corps that you will ever see her hanging around and being comfortable with. When she is with her comfort people though, she gets very teasing and tomboyish in nature. 

Likes: Taking time off to write, and train.

Dislikes: Loud, brutish people with a specifically structured mindset (Aside from Tengen, that is), and a very specific Wind Hashira that falls into this category. 

Appearance

Yuzumani has an athletic sleeper build. She has tons of muscle, and is also a taller woman than average. Her pale skin is contrasted by her dark, navy blue hair can be mistaken and classified as black but nearly anyone. She styles it up into a bun, since she doesn’t want it to be a nuisance in her fights. 

Dark Blue, almost black hair. 

Weight: 177.3 lbs

Height: 185.42 cm (6’1)

 A sleeper body type.

Icy blue eyes that shine like crystals in the moonlight. They’re a drastic contrast to her pale skin. 

A light blue Haori, padded with white fur and the sleeve openings and the hem of the main part as well. There is a diamond pattern sewn along the sleeves right before the fur is placed, and a white flower emblem on the Back. 

-> She wears the male Demon Slayer Corps Uniform, opting to tie it with a handmade belt instead of a regular one.

Modifications to her Body: Yuzumani has two piercings on each ear; and a shit ton of scars. 

Skills

Yuzumani is tough and sturdy. She has an immense amount of strength and firmness, which pairs with her grit and integrity. Her sense of direction and her morals are no joke, and she’s pretty much immune to staying lost. She’s a very good writer, and is amazing with her words because of it. To wrap everything up, she can act according to her surroundings – knowing when she needs to be rough, and knowing when to be graceful. 

Background

Kyuuntarou was the only child born to the Yuzumani household. Her father was well-known amongst her village due to his kindness, bravery, and most of all – for being a Demon Slayer. Now, being a demon slayer that is known for his exploits only means that the village are aware of Demons, and that’s where Yuzumani’s Childhood best friend comes into play. 

One day, Yuzumani meets a girl her age named Mei. Mei had no parents, and no one to look after her. She was on her own, and resorted to stealing things to get her way around living. Yuzumani caught her taking a loaf of bread from a kind old lady’s basket – so she confronted her. However, this only led to Mei diverting the small girl and running away. 

A few weeks later, she spotted Mei again – only to see her running away with a carton of milk. Yuzumani ran after the girl; but yet again to no avail. This continued on for months, until she finally spotted mei hiding in a corner – the usual dirt and grime on her face. 

“Are you done stealing?” Yuzumani asked gently. Mei mumbled a quick ‘shut up.’ and looked away, but her ears picked up on Yuzumani’s tone of voice. The girl hadn’t been teasing her or even shaming her, she was just simply concerned. They talked, and it ended with Mei telling the black-haired girl that she had no place to stay – and that she ran from village to village to never get caught for the things she stole ; and with Yuzumani offering her to stay with her and her mother, since her father wasn’t home. They walked home, and Yuzumani helped Mei clean up. Later that night, Mei let her new friend in on another secret. 

“They think I’m a demon,” Mei whispered; and Yuzumani’s eyes widened. Mei explained that the birthmark she wasborn with was rather enormous and peculiar – it looked like vines were wrapping around her body. Regardless, Kyuuntarou stated that there was no way she could be her demon, since demons only lurked around in the night. 

“Father said so!” Yuzumani hollered, putting out the lights. “I’ll have father tell everyone else when he comes back, too!”

But Yuzumani’s father never came back. He had been slaughtered by a certain Upper rank. News spread of this to the village – along with the fact that the Yuzumani household had been taking care of Mei. They suspected she had some part in Kyuuntarou’s Father’s death. When both she and her mother had defended Mei at a counsel meeting; Mei had snuck in. 

She understood then that the Yuzumanis’ life may be in danger if she was seen to be in contact with Mei, so the girl left. She promised her friend that she would sheak back in to visit her every once in a while.

Kyuuntarou took up swordsmanship in the meanwhile, and she would practice alone to hone her skills – she wanted to be the Ice hashira, just like her father once had been. Whenever Mei came, she would play-fight with the other girl, and they would have fun.

Though one day… An elder saw Mei and Yuzumani fighting. 

They dragged Mei by the hair, insisting she had been trying to hurt Kyuuntarou, and were strict on setting her on fire.

Kyuuntarou stopped them, and they grew wary of the small swordsman. One night, Mei invites her out on a stroll into the forest. Yuzumani accepts eagerly, her mother allowing her to do so. But when she gets back, her mother is tied up in the center of the village. Men drag Mei away back into the forest, and they take care of Kyuuntarou’s mother as well. They beat her badly, and she dies from bleeding. Yuzumani is told to run – for if they catch her, they will hang her for her sins, and for being ‘Tainted by the demons’. 

And so she runs, and runs, and runs. She runs until she can’t breathe, and her legs areunable to circulate blood properly. She falls to the ground, somewhere unknown. And is awoken, by a beautiful Mistress with White hair. 

(P.s., Yuzumani’s Dad was killed by Akaza – and she later falls in love with Kyojurou Rengouku! She wants to help in the fight against Akaza, but there are two reasons she doesn’t. One, because Akakza doesn’t fight women… and two…. )

Breath Forms

Ice Breathing -> The main focus of this breathing style is to enhance the user’s strength, speed, reflexes, and precision. To compliment all of the Ice breathing helps the user to learn it’s routines in a manner which helps them perform each technique in a swift manner. Ice breathing also teaches it’s users to know when to use the right amount of muscle – and when to be gentle in their approach. 

1st Form – Frigid Touch

-> This form consists of a simple, one-movement strike. This form requires an insane amount of muscle control though, because it requires the user to use majority of their force at the end of the strike, though their speed must contrast it and but fastest in the middle. Yuzumani has found this form to be most-effective when used in close proximity, and when trying to stall for time by attempting to cut a demon’s limbs off. 

2nd Form – Freezing Breath

-> This breath form happens in the speed and timeframe of a single breath. The user takes a moment to breathe in, and pounces – cutting their opponent with their blade in the pattern and technique of a single spiral. After that, the User breathes out. 

3rd Form – Cold Cut

-> The user twirls a single blade above their head and cuts down in whatever direction they deem appropriate. This is a basic form, but it take precision to carry out – due to being a breath form specializing in beheading demons. 

4th Form – Dripping Frost

-> Finally, Yuzumani can take both of her swords out to perform this technique. Her movements become rather fluid; like Water Breathing. However; once she is ready to strike, she immediately shifts her body weight and pulses all of her strength through it. 

5th Form – Glass-Cracking Chills

-> In which the user uses all of their swiftness, speed, and strength (the three S’s) to give the opponent a feeling that they are lacking heat. This form is mainly meant to throw off the opponent as the user strikes quick and fast to incapacitate them. While obviously not having any kind of ice powers; Yuzumani never fails to quite literally send chills through her opponents spine with this form. 

6th Form – Whirlwind Snowstorm

-> Both blades are swirled around in opposite directions in their respective hands. They’re twirled and twirled while yuzumani’s erratic movements create a blur for her opponents vision. This form is ended when the user finds an opening, and they start cutting in a very fast and swift manner. 

7th Form – Pin-point Frostbite

-> Yuzumani binds the ends of her swords together to create a long, dual blade. Much like 5th Form, this technique is centered around delivering fatal strikes to your opponent while throwing them off with your energy and intimidating them. As for the actual strikes, the user uses the literal double-edged sword to deliver precise blows in a spinning motion. These strikes can reach any point of the body, so fast that the other side of the blade cuts you again before you can heal – the fear and urgency spreading throughout you like frostbite, while the cuts have pin-point precision. 

8th Form – Cut-throat Icicles

-> This form is quick, and the user disappears from the battlefield – only to appear again directly above their opponent. The user uses their body weight and sheer force to their advantage – as the fall is when they strike. The user Spins once in the air in a perfect 360-degree turn and it ends with their blade(s) on their opponent’s neck. 

9th Form – Snowflake Needles

-> A distinctive method in which the user uses both of their blades and weilds them in a different hand posture – extending them out. The swordplay for this breath form is unique, the user cutting erratically in opposite directions. The tencique seems random – but is actually very thought out, since both blades are moving in different directions but still cutting in the same pattern… a snowflake. Each slice feels like a thousand needles pricking into the opponent’s skin, finishing off with a freezing feeling. 

10th Form – Crushing Avalanche

-> A series of movements, making the User seem like they’re everywhere all at once. This form also needs a pressure factor, as the user unleashes all of their bloodlust and fighting spirit at once. The opponent feels like they cant move – that they’re being crushed. 

11th Form – Velvet-Soft Snow

-> A rather gentle form, and this can be used as a defense as well. The user hides their emotions and controls their fighting spirit right as they strike, suppressing it. In doing so, they let their movement become rather gentle and graceful as they behead or defend themselves against their opponent. 

12th Form – [Currently a WIP by Yuzumani, Yet to be named. ]

hmmmm... Yuzumani? Well, for one, I just felt like creating her because I was really into Demon Slayer at the time -- Plus I already had an OC who interacted with the main Trio; so I decided that I wanted to make a Hashira OC! (Which led to me making three others, but oh well).

I looked at all the breath Techniques and went "oooh! I'll do Ice breathing!" and then I ended up also making her Rengoku's S/o. sigh....

My favorite??? I would say...... a few things, actually. - Her backstory is cruel but it has a different concept compared to most of my others, which I like. - I get to have so much fun with her breathing technique!!!!!!!!!!!! - Her personality changes after Rengoku dies.... It's so fun.

I remember you talking about her and it just funny at how one day she was Rengoku's height, went on a mission, and came back as a tall as hell woman with him being like: 😳.

Akaza is just... accidently and actively pissing off this woman to the point that it shouldn't be plausible. Akaza is running away from her.

I gotta say, love her breathing style, it is rather a unique way of using them, so it would be neat to see that type of battler in action.

Regardless, Kyuuntarou stated that there was no way she could be her demon, since demons only lurked around in the night. 

“Father said so!” Yuzumani hollered, putting out the lights. “I’ll have father tell everyone else when he comes back, too!”

But Yuzumani’s father never came back. He had been slaughtered by a certain Upper rank. News spread of this to the village – along with the fact that the Yuzumani household had been taking care of Mei. They suspected she had some part in Kyuuntarou’s Father’s death. When both she and her mother had defended Mei at a counsel meeting; Mei had snuck in. 

She understood then that the Yuzumanis’ life may be in danger if she was seen to be in contact with Mei, so the girl left. She promised her friend that she would sheak back in to visit her every once in a while.

Kyuuntarou took up swordsmanship in the meanwhile, and she would practice alone to hone her skills – she wanted to be the Ice hashira, just like her father once had been. Whenever Mei came, she would play-fight with the other girl, and they would have fun.

Though one day… An elder saw Mei and Yuzumani fighting. 

They dragged Mei by the hair, insisting she had been trying to hurt Kyuuntarou, and were strict on setting her on fire.

Kyuuntarou stopped them, and they grew wary of the small swordsman. One night, Mei invites her out on a stroll into the forest. Yuzumani accepts eagerly, her mother allowing her to do so. But when she gets back, her mother is tied up in the center of the village. Men drag Mei away back into the forest, and they take care of Kyuuntarou’s mother as well. They beat her badly, and she dies from bleeding. Yuzumani is told to run – for if they catch her, they will hang her for her sins, and for being ‘Tainted by the demons’. 

And so she runs, and runs, and runs. She runs until she can’t breathe, and her legs areunable to circulate blood properly. She falls to the ground, somewhere unknown. And is awoken, by a beautiful Mistress with White hair. 

(P.s., Yuzumani’s Dad was killed by Akaza – and she later falls in love with Kyojurou Rengouku! She wants to help in the fight against Akaza, but there are two reasons she doesn’t. One, because Akakza doesn’t fight women… and two…. )

Breath Forms

Ice Breathing -> The main focus of this breathing style is to enhance the user’s strength, speed, reflexes, and precision. To compliment all of the Ice breathing helps the user to learn it’s routines in a manner which helps them perform each technique in a swift manner. Ice breathing also teaches it’s users to know when to use the right amount of muscle – and when to be gentle in their approach. 

1st Form – Frigid Touch

-> This form consists of a simple, one-movement strike. This form requires an insane amount of muscle control though, because it requires the user to use majority of their force at the end of the strike, though their speed must contrast it and but fastest in the middle. Yuzumani has found this form to be most-effective when used in close proximity, and when trying to stall for time by attempting to cut a demon’s limbs off. 

2nd Form – Freezing Breath

-> This breath form happens in the speed and timeframe of a single breath. The user takes a moment to breathe in, and pounces – cutting their opponent with their blade in the pattern and technique of a single spiral. After that, the User breathes out. 

3rd Form – Cold Cut

-> The user twirls a single blade above their head and cuts down in whatever direction they deem appropriate. This is a basic form, but it take precision to carry out – due to being a breath form specializing in beheading demons. 

4th Form – Dripping Frost

-> Finally, Yuzumani can take both of her swords out to perform this technique. Her movements become rather fluid; like Water Breathing. However; once she is ready to strike, she immediately shifts her body weight and pulses all of her strength through it. 

5th Form – Glass-Cracking Chills

-> In which the user uses all of their swiftness, speed, and strength (the three S’s) to give the opponent a feeling that they are lacking heat. This form is mainly meant to throw off the opponent as the user strikes quick and fast to incapacitate them. While obviously not having any kind of ice powers; Yuzumani never fails to quite literally send chills through her opponents spine with this form. 

6th Form – Whirlwind Snowstorm

-> Both blades are swirled around in opposite directions in their respective hands. They’re twirled and twirled while yuzumani’s erratic movements create a blur for her opponents vision. This form is ended when the user finds an opening, and they start cutting in a very fast and swift manner. 

7th Form – Pin-point Frostbite

-> Yuzumani binds the ends of her swords together to create a long, dual blade. Much like 5th Form, this technique is centered around delivering fatal strikes to your opponent while throwing them off with your energy and intimidating them. As for the actual strikes, the user uses the literal double-edged sword to deliver precise blows in a spinning motion. These strikes can reach any point of the body, so fast that the other side of the blade cuts you again before you can heal – the fear and urgency spreading throughout you like frostbite, while the cuts have pin-point precision. 

8th Form – Cut-throat Icicles

-> This form is quick, and the user disappears from the battlefield – only to appear again directly above their opponent. The user uses their body weight and sheer force to their advantage – as the fall is when they strike. The user Spins once in the air in a perfect 360-degree turn and it ends with their blade(s) on their opponent’s neck. 

9th Form – Snowflake Needles

-> A distinctive method in which the user uses both of their blades and weilds them in a different hand posture – extending them out. The swordplay for this breath form is unique, the user cutting erratically in opposite directions. The tencique seems random – but is actually very thought out, since both blades are moving in different directions but still cutting in the same pattern… a snowflake. Each slice feels like a thousand needles pricking into the opponent’s skin, finishing off with a freezing feeling. 

10th Form – Crushing Avalanche

-> A series of movements, making the User seem like they’re everywhere all at once. This form also needs a pressure factor, as the user unleashes all of their bloodlust and fighting spirit at once. The opponent feels like they cant move – that they’re being crushed. 

11th Form – Velvet-Soft Snow

-> A rather gentle form, and this can be used as a defense as well. The user hides their emotions and controls their fighting spirit right as they strike, suppressing it. In doing so, they let their movement become rather gentle and graceful as they behead or defend themselves against their opponent.
