If there is anyone I dream about…
… it’s freaking Jeong Jaehyun! That man lives in my dreams rent free!
He’s the one person besides some family members that I constantly dream about.
At this point I’m not sure if I should be worried for my mental and emotional health or just accept that this is my life.
Anyone else have this… situation… happening to them? It don’t have to be Jaehyun it can be any celebrity/idol that you’re pretty sure you have no way of becoming friends, enemies, or lovers with.
Just please tell me that I’m not the only one here!

You know what’s crazy…
… it’s legit been years since I had a huge crush on someone who wasn’t a celebrity/famous. This was a guy that I could have potentially tried to date. It could be my imagination, but I could of sworn there was a connection between us. Or maybe it wasn’t my imagination. Maybe there was a connection there, I just don’t know what kind of connection it was. It could of been that maybe he is my other half but we’re not ready to be together yet. OR! It could of been the universe just showing/telling me that my other does exist and is just waiting for me to get my shit together. I think either one of those could be the reason why I felt so much for him.
It’s just sad that I only got to interact with him a few times before he ended up getting another job and moved. 😩 So yea, he was a coworker. We didn’t exactly work together, but like once a month or so we would have group outing where everyone close by in the company would meet up and hangout/have dinner. That’s how I meet him and few other coworkers. And was just so bright and energetic and fun, and I wanted him! I wanted to get to know him more. Learn about him and so much more. Like I know his bday is in September(if I’m correct he’s a Virgo), he has a younger brother, he likes rock climbing, and he’s lactose intolerance. I wanted to know more. I still want to know more. Cause what I don’t know is if him and another coworker is dating. It was really hard to tell cause they would sit next to each other and I know they was around each other more than just working together, but I couldn’t tell if they was more than friends or not. Cause I’m no home wrecker, and I really did try not to make it obvious that I was so into him. But I swear I could barely keep my eyes off him whenever he spoke. Especially when he talked to me.
Oh my yes! I won’t ever forget how it SEEM like he made it a point to talk to me at the last gathering we had. Which was at his place to celebrate him getting another job and moving. I don’t know if he did it cause I was having introverted moments and not really talking much since there was more people that I didn’t really know there. Or if he didn’t cause he just really wanted to talk to me, get to know me a little more. But I loved every second of it. I just wish that I had moment with him all to myself before he left, cause I would of told him that I had a crush on him. I would of apologized for making things weird especially if he was dating the other coworker, but just to get it off my chest so I could get over him and not think about him to the point that I’m writing this. i would of put on my big girl panties and told him that I liked him. Not like would be seeing him again since he’s moving and I don’t expect him to like me back.
It would have been quick and nerve wracking, but at least would have got it off my chest. Cause a crush like this is just too much to keep in. It’s been years… YEARS! Since someone has ever smacked me in the face, kneed me in the crotch, and shot me through the heart like this. And as nice as it is to know that I can indeed still feel flames like this, it just sucks that I didn’t have the time or opportunity to do something about it. It was like, as soon as I met him, he was gone. You know?
Hopefully, getting my feelings out here had help me a bit. Cause I still do have a crush on him, but maybe it will be less intense, and I can stop thinking about him for while. I’m not purposely dating, I’m very much single, but not against dating someone if I find some interest in them… I do know that when I do decide to start really dating again and find my other half, I will be seeing if ever get this feeling again.
All in all, it felt crazy and so good to have a crush on someone.

Sorry it’s long! You don’t have to read the whole thing.
So!!! I had another dream with Noah from Bad Omens in it. I feel like the place we was in was my home, but then again I’m not sure of that either. Cause it definitely wasn’t my home the way I know it to be. But this kitchen was similar to how the kitchen in my old house was.
Anyway! We was in a house, in the tv room, and it was night time. I had blanket and was getting ready to go to sleep on one of the couches. Just as I came into the tv room I saw Noah chilling on couch that looked more like a love seat type of couch. And with him being so tall my first thought was “I don’t think he’s gonna be able to fit comfortably on that couch.” Which wasn’t just a thought since I said it loud enough for him to reply back to me, “Naw, this is good for me.” I just shrugged it off and proceeded to get on the couch that was big enough for me to sleep on but would have comfortable for Noah as well. (Which is also when I notice that it’s Noah from Bad Omens and the first person who came to mind was you, Nami! @agravemisstake And I thought, that I had to tell him that friend of mines is a big fan. Which I didn’t get the chance to do unfortunately.)
See the couch I was on was wide and long enough to be a twin size bed. (The size of my actual bed.) But he said that he was good so I started to get comfortable. The lights was off, the tv was on, he had three cans of beer by him, and I had one can of hard seltzer(vodka and flavored soda). I watched him try to get comfortable and then said, “Are you sure you good over there? This couch would be more comfortable for you?” Talking about the one I’m on. And he basically tells that it’s fine, and we proceed to try to go to sleep.
Only we just end up talking. Just talking about random things while trying to sleep but neither of us is really letting the other go to sleep. And swear the longer we talked the closer the couch Noah is on comes closer to me. Which I don’t really notice until he starts talking about someone name Dan and I stop like, “Hold on, hold on, hold on. I’m Dan! That’s me.” Basically saying, Danny is my name. Granted, one of my friends do call me Dan sometimes. So, he smiles at me like he’s acknowledging now that I’m Danny and than starts talking about Dan again only this time he was like, “Okay, so the Idiot did something dumb.” He no longer Dan by his name, just straight up replaced it with Idiot. Now what did he say about Dan, I have no idea cause I’m sitting there thinking, Nami would freak out if she knew was talking to Noah from Bad Omens.
I end up finishing my hard seltzer and he finished a can of beer and at this point we not even trying to sleep anymore. Just enjoying talking to each other. But then something got on my blanket and he asked if I was okay and said I was fine and just needed to clean off my blanket real quick. Going to the kitchen, I went to the sink to clean off the corner part of my blanket. And I think like a minute into doing that Noah comes in the kitchen. He don’t really say anything but he definitely uses his height to loom over me as he walks by to go to fridge, like he’s checking on me and making sure everything was okay, takes something out the fridge and then goes back into the tv room. Cause everything was okay, I rinsed the stain off and then go back into the tv room.
Only to see him, finally!, sitting comfortably, but comfortably on the couch I was on. Which I knew his tall ass would be would be comfortable on. But I didn’t say anything about it since he handed me an another hard seltzer (what he had got out of the fridge when came to check on me). Both of us now sitting on the couch, with tv still on, lights off, and just talking. And once again I’m thinking that I need to tell him about my friend who is a big fan. But this starts talking about a song he’s about to make.
He was saying that it would start off with someone playing a horn and then he would come in with drums and then there was one other part before the beat dropped and the song would play. He asked me what I had thought about it. And at first I’m talking about the instrument for the horn that he might be talking about. A trumpet or trombone. I say something but else, but Noah’s like, “Okay, but you didn’t answer my question. What you think about it?” And so I tell him that it sounds pretty cool. Noah’s response to that was, “Okay, I’m gonna remember you said that. And see what you really think it’s cool. The name of the song is gonna start with an S.” I’m just like, Okay! Then proceed to tell him that his idea actually reminds me of the NFL theme song. Only then realize the there’s a football game on the tv and…
That’s it!
I swear it was really just us chilling and talking and getting to know each other. Nothing really romantic, but there was sense of it was possible in the future. Especially, since it just seemed like the more we talked the closer we got, not just physically either with how he couch was sliding closer to me. But yea! It was chill. Wish o could remember more of what we talked about, but that’s just how dreams go.

NCT 00 line as a rock band.
Renjun- Guitar/Main Vocals
Yangyang- Bass/Rapper
Jaemin- Keytar/Vocals/Sub Rap
Haechan- Keyboard/Main Vocals
Jeno- Drums/Rapper
With Chenle as the Manger and Jisung as his assistant.
(I did have YangYang as manger and Mark as Bass, but I really like the idea of 00 line as band. And I can see how YangYang fits a bit more than Mark… Honestly! I think Mark should just be in 127 and Haechan should be in Dream, thought I would miss him in 127. But we don’t need to get into all of that now. This is my NCT 00’ rock band.)

How I have a dream about Jaehyun going to the military?
He wasn’t idol Jaehyun. He was just regular Jaehyun who worked and hung out with us. Mind you, I don’t have a job right now. So anyway!!! It felt like he was one of my Best Friends. Cause it seems like my brain was trying to go down memory lane with all the shenanigans me and him been through. I just can’t fully remember it.
Me and my friends was there to see him off. It happened kind of quick but everyone was some form of sad to see him go. Of course he said his goodbyes and see you later. I remember getting a hug from him and him sending me a text to thank one of our friends for something. Which I did, but when I went to text him back about it his number was gone. Like he couldn’t have any contact with us while he’s in the military. I can’t really remember anymore interactions with him.
I just remember one of my friends asking in a group chat how is everyone doing? And I my reply to that was that it’s bittersweet that Jaehyun had to go to military, but it was his choice and I’m sure he’ll come back fine and healthy. After that my brain was like ‘Oh when he comes back he’s getting the biggest hug EVER from me. I don’t care if his parents are there they just gonna have to wait’. Cause clearly it was going to be boring and lonely without him for the next two years.
That’s It!
Ughhhh! It really is bittersweet that’s he’s going into the military right now. But I’m not mad at it. I get the feeling that he’s not only doing to get it out of the way but he’s doing to take a break from everything that’s happening. From taeil’s bs to another one of his dramas getting put on hold and all of SM’s bs. It’s like he did it just get away from it all at the moment.
I can’t help think about what he said while he was on Youngji show. About how he had talk with his dad about not being happy with what he was doing. And his father told him that if he wasn’t happy to just quit and do something else. First things first! I think it’s adorable how close he is to his father and how his father supports him so much. But secondly! It’s like he literally told us that he wasn’t happy and was thinking about leaving. Though, instead of just out right leaving (cause don’t give us Aquarius a legit reason to leave, we will be on the first plane flying out) he chose to do his military service first. Put everything on pause, take some time for himself, and probably find his love for his career again.
I don’t know, these are just my thoughts and opinions. Cause I don’t really know him, and I don’t really know what’s he’s feeling and what his life is like. Just as a fellow Aquarius, I know it may seem like we be doing shit just to do it sometimes. But let me tell you, most of the time it for a reason… So! I hope when he goes he has a new experience, and learn somethings. And comes back with a growth to him, and a fresh mind.
I clearly needed to share my thoughts on this. Let me make sure it’s legit shared… @agravemisstake @futuristiclovezone95

so, it’s confirmed that Zelda’s “Time” powers came from Sonia, and her “Light” powers from Rauru, but we know from other games that only the women of the royal family can use the “sealing” power inherited from SkSw Zelda. do you think this means that throughout history, the “Light” powers associated w the sealing are actually separate from the sealing ability? I just remember being really lost after that cutscene, cause even if Rauru somehow was a descendant of Hylia, he wouldn’t be able to use those powers, and the sealing of whatever evil is causing trouble always has a fancy light show with it lmao
So, this is a very complicated question with a very complicated theory to answer it.
We know that Sonia's primary, and, in terms of usablity, only power is Recall.
Tumblr media
However, I do believe she's Hylia's descendant, not Rauru, despite Rauru being the one with the light/sealing power. Evidence on that here.
Being Hylia's descendant would make Sonia's birthright be a whole host of other powers, possibly latent, but more probably something that Sonia's never actually been in the right situation to use. Let's take a look at what Skyward Sword Zelda can do.
Tumblr media
She can seal the Demon King-
Tumblr media
-but only at the expense of her own life force being rendered inert while she does.
Tumblr media
She can bless the Master Sword-
Tumblr media
-but it's already as strong as it can get.
Tumblr media
She has strong connections to time...
Tumblr media
...but we knew that already.
Of these three powers, only one would be relevant to Sonia's skill set. The Master Sword can hardly be doubly-blessed, and the Demon King has yet to show his face.
More importantly, however, Skyward Zel's sealing power works MUCH differently to Wild Zel's.
Tumblr media
Wild Zel's sealing is instantaneous, fueled by emotion, with seemingly no draining effect on her person.
Tumblr media
When fully unleashed, her seal is as total as it is inescapable. It doesn't require her to put herself to sleep until Link can deal the final blow with the Master Sword. The closest thing to Skyward Zel's seal that Wild Zel did was in keeping the Calamity at bay for 100 years while Link slept. During which, it's heavily implied that she was conscious, given that she spoke to Link the instant he woke.
Tumblr media
With Rauru, his sealing ability seems much more similar to our princess's, with only some key differences visually.
Tumblr media
His right hand gathers light around it, and needs to be extended to fully function.
Tumblr media
When the seal first activates, it forms a spherical shape, which is inescapable, albeit on a much smaller scale than Zelda's.
Tumblr media
It's a little hard to see, due to the magnitude of Zelda's power, but it IS a sphere.
Tumblr media
And although this act does cost Rauru his life, it usually doesn't. He's done this before, multiple times, as stated in Messages from an Ancient Era tablet A Pilgrimage of Light:
"The kyng was late y-come this aven, so maked the quene to sharen tales of hir lond, of shirines al grene yglouen. "Of erli daies sinnes Hyrules funding have diverse monstres hir reaume biseged ond assaylled. "Uncesinge in striffe, thei broughte to despeir folkes lyfen. Kyng ond quen ysete thamselue to bringen scurge to ende. "With might of light ond pouere, driven abak ybeen, ond the roial couple made thes shirines to selen him awei. "Thes holi selen ben yclept Shirines of Light. "Gret kyng, grete quen, y thank ye. Ye foughte whan y wer maiden-child, that y kude pes toknouen."
The translation, to the best of my efforts:
"The king was late to come this evening, so made the queen to share tales of her land, of shrines all green glowing. "Of early days since Hyrule's founding have diverse monsters her realm besieged and assailed. "Unceasing in strife, they brought to despair folks' lives. King and queen set themselves to bringing scourge to end. "With might of light and power, driven aback they been, and the royal couple made these shrines to seal him away. "These holy seals been called Shrines of Light. "Great king, great queen, I thank you. You fought when you were maiden-child, that I could peace to know."
Sonia and Rauru went around making the Shrines of Light that we find in present day and receive blessing from:
Tumblr media
So, with the exception of the Demon King, who was so powerful that he could resurrect thousands of years later, Rauru's seal behaved like Zelda's—instant, fueled by emotion, inescapable, projected by the right hand, with no immediate toll on the user.
But what does this mean for Zelda's sealing ability? Despite behaving similarly, it doesn't look similar at all.
Let's look back at what happens when Sonia and Rauru combine their powers.
Tumblr media
Rauru brings his hands together in a triangle shape, possibly invoking the same Triforce motif Zelda gives when she unleashes her power. The Secret Stone, which magnifies his light abilities, glows in a similar shade to Zelda's seal.
Tumblr media
Sonia extends her right hand as her own tear glows. Despite it only amplifying her time power, her hand shows the same color Rauru's light gives off—as well as being in a spherical form.
Tumblr media
Rauru draws in her power (and Zelda's, whose is a combination of both already and therefore adds no new properties) and forms a bright yellow light with a sphere around it.
Tumblr media
It's better seen from this angle, where we can also see what looks like an inverted Triforce in the middle.
Tumblr media
They're nowhere near the level of focus Zelda's Triforce has, but the triangles are definitely there.
Tumblr media
And then it becomes a catastrophic force of power, able to wipe out an entire swarm of Molduga in a single hit.
Zelda's lineage's sealing ability is a culmination of all of this. It's Sonia and Rauru's powers combined, taking Hylia's seal, the Goddess's full power-
Tumblr media
-and attaching that strength to something instantaneous and geared specifically to lock away darkness-
Tumblr media
-by combining the power of time with the power of light.
Tumblr media
Hylia's sealing power isn't Rauru's, but Zelda's is Hylia's AND Rauru's combined.
As a side note, this is also why I think, despite Rauru contributing his power, the magic remains only matrilineal. Hylia's descendants—meaning in this case, Sonia—are the only ones that carry her abilities. Rauru's power attached itself to Sonia's to create Zelda's, but Sonia's abilities—with or without Rauru's boost to them—can only be accessed by her daughters and granddaughters.
Tumblr media
Strong enough to rival any magic in the world in sheer might, this later became known as the Light Force.
TLDR: Hylia's seal = Slow, nonlethal, exhausting toll, powerful, golden lightshow Rauru's seal = Fast, potentially lethal, concentrated, opposes Ganon, spherical lightshow Zelda's seal = Fast, concentrated, opposes Ganon, spherical (from Rauru), nonlethal, powerful, golden (from Hylia); a hybridization of both seals, the best of both worlds

The New Evidence Concerning The Princes In The Tower: What Does This Mean?
In 1483, the nephews of the future King Richard III, the future King Edward V and Richard, Duke of York, went missing. Even during the time period, the concept that two royal princes could just disappear into thin air was absurd, and because a previous heir apparent had been found dead under mysterious circumstances, the worst was assumed by the public. Richard III would only reign two years, dying at The Battle Of Bosworth in 1485, causing the House of Plantagenet to lose power for the first time since the 12th century. With the years following the disappearance, fingers pointed to Richard for having caused and concealed the deaths, yet in the 20th century, an organization dedicated to rehabilitating Richard's name (aptly named The Richard III Society) began proposing that someone other than Richard- if anyone had at all- had destroyed his nephews. After the success of the Finding Richard Project in 2012, the RIII Society was taken more seriously, and they vowed to find his missing nephews next.
However, a few days ago, what some are hailing as "damnable" evidence was found: a relative of the infamous Sir James Tyrell, who was accused by King Henry VII and Queen Elisabeth of York as having done the deed for Richard III, was found to be in possession of a "Cheyne which was Yonge kynge Edward the Vth.” As those who believe Richard III was usurping tyrant celebrate this find, we should look into what this means as an article of history.
First of all, lets look at what the document is: the new information comes from the 1516 will of Lady Margaret Capell, who was half sister to Sir James Tyrell's wife. In her will, Margaret wrote:
“I bequeath to my sonne Sir Giles his fadres Cheyne which was Yonge kynge Edward the Vth.”
Now, at face value, this looks pretty bad: why does James Tyrell's family have ANYTHING of Edward V's? Yet, it was very common for kings and princes to gift trinkets and jewelry to people who had done them some service. Tyrell had been knighted in 1471 by King Edward IV, later entering the service of Richard, then Duke of Gloucester. Once Richard assumed the throne, Tyrell became High Sheriff of Cornwall. Yet, things would come crashing down with the untimely death of the king, and the coronation of Henry VII, who needed to prove that his brothers-in-law were dead. This meant that he needed some proof that there were no other claimants, and so he imprisoned Tyrell with the hopes that he would confess, which he did.
So, James would have been, under most circumstances, near the Royal Household. This gives us three options as to how Tyrell became the owner of Edward's chain:
Theory 1: Tyrell did something worthy of honor and Edward gave him a token of gratitude.
It wasn't uncommon for kings to give away pieces of jewelry and trinkets to people who do some good for them. Although the late Middle Ages were steeped in record keeping, it seems that there isn't much from the Royal Household during this time period. It could be that, like the will, any documentation of the sentiment was lost, or at least yet to be found.
Theory 2: The chain was for Tyrell's role as High Sheriff of Cornwall.
One of the things I think were overlooked when this document came to light is that Tyrell and Edward held the same office: Edward was granted the title as an infant, while Tyrell was granted it in 1483. This means that, under the circumstances at play, Tyrell could have been given Richard's chain, which very well might have also belonged to Edward. When the will was written, Richard III was not someone you wanted to have ties to: people thought very poorly of him for how he came to the throne and how he died. This could have led Margaret to gloss over Richard's ownership of the chain and emphasize more on Edward's ownership. This would also allow them family to distance themselves from their involvement with Richard III, and align themselves with the newly crowned King Henry VIII.
Theory 3: James Tyrell kept the chain as a trophy for the crime he committed.
This theory relies heavily on the concept of Ocam's Razor: that the simplest reason for something is what happened, or that Richard did away with his nephews with the help of James Tyrell, and he kept the chain as a memento for his crimes. This doesn't really explain everything, but it is a possibility, I guess.
What do you think happened? Is Richard innocent? Is the chain just a happenstance?

Because I’ve got my finger right on the pulse, I’m gonna make a meandering post about a long-cancelled period drama rather than the major one currently airing. But this has been in the drafts for ages, and yeah I just really didnt like the depiction of Kett’s rebellion in Becoming Elizabeth. And I need to complain about it lol. I wish i could say it was a good effort but im not sure i can even give it that...
a looong post because i cannae haud me wheesht
Firstly, and perhaps one of the most important things, is they have the rebels in the show rally around the cry, ‘kill all gentlemen!’ This wasn't a phrase used by the rebels at the Mousehold camp - it's been attributed to the revolts in the West, but i'd agree with recent research that it doesn't seem to actually have been said by anyone. The sentiment in of itself - the tearing down of the elite class - isn't something expressed in the articles the rebels produced, even if there were underlying tensions between the two groups. You do see it appear in individual testimonies sometimes, like here:
'the pore peple are now Famysshed but C of us wyll rise one daye agenst them & I wylbe one day he'.
I'm also not saying they were nice to the gentlemen they captured, or that they didn't want to confront these landed elites, because they did. But the rebels weren't, as shown in BE, slitting the throats of random nobles they came across. That kind of indiscriminate, murderous loathing isn't something i've seen represented in the sources describing their actions. There were few murders at all committed by the rebels - the battles against crown forces excluded - and fewer still can be confirmed to have been gentry. (although i should point out, whilst I'm focusing on Norwich because the show did, iirc there were killings of elites, and more talk in that sort of vein, in yorkshire). In the south, their violence seems largely to have been aimed at property, and chosen enclosures/deer parks and houses/household goods. that was the consistent thread running through their physical responses. For example:
'So some of the common people rose in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex under a captain they called Common-wealth and made havoc on the wild beasts in many of the parks in these parts.  But they paid for their food in every place'.
or,
'they have pluckyd downe Sir Wyllyam Harberde’s parke that ys abowte hys newe howse, and dyverse other parkysse and commonse that be inclosyd in that cuntre, but harme thay doo too parson (nobody).... They saye thay wylle obaye the Kynges maiste and my lord Protector with alle the counselle, but thay saye thaye wyll nat have ther commonse and ther growendes to be inclosyd and soo taken from them.'
and from Holinshed,
'ditches and hedges, wherewith the commons abrode in the countrie were inclosed, were throwne downe'
Their violence was a response to land, economic, religious, as well as highly local factors. To my understanding, it didn't represent a desire to either kill or eradicate gentlemen as a social group. The Norwich articles do suggest aims to minimise their interference in the community, and it did represent a radical restructuring of local rights and spheres of influence - at least, as i understand it.
Again, all this isn't to say there wasn't force, that there wasn't any brutality, or that there wasn't bitterness or resentment directed at elites. To take another example from Holinshed, he describes this killing of an Italian mercenary at Mousehold:
‘but they [Dudley's forces] left one of their companie behind them, a gentleman that was an Italian, who… through euill hap being outherthrowne beside his horsse, he was inuironed about with a great multitude if those rebels, that tooke him prisoner, and like vile wretches spoiling him of his armor and apparell, hanged him ouer the wals of mount Surrie. Which act shewed what courtesie might be looked for at such cruell traitors hands… it seemed that their beastlie crueltie had bereft them the rememberance of all honest consideration and dutifull humanitie’.
Having said that, the way the show presents the rebels' violence seems to me to be unrepresentative. BE depicts an overly simplistic picture of the commons indiscriminately murdering nobles w/o compunction or for any particularly complex reasons. Just, showing these people yanking a random man and woman off their horses to slit their throats and then leaving them to die... it really fucked me off. That is not at all accurate to events or the commons' behaviour during Kett's rebellion. At least, not in any sources that i've read. I mean funnily enough people werent too keen on getting hanged, which goes a long way to explaining why they skewed away from interpersonal violence.
The show also understates the sheer scale of the death toll imo. Not only were significant numbers killed at Dussindale, but a large number were executed after the fact. There was also battles near Exeter, and a great many Cornish were killed - I've come across the number as potentially as many as 2 000 before.
'The knight, hearing of this came with 200 men in harness who by his order attacked the commons and slaughtered them like wolves among sheep'
'During this time the Lord Privy Seal saw his opportunity to attack the besiegers [at exeter] before the Cornishmen arrived and killed more than 5,000. ....Then [at Norwich] the captain and many honest men were hanged, many of them without deserving it for any harm they had done, and some who had not even raised a stick to go to the field'
i don't think the figures have to be understood as being 100% accurate to nevertheless impart the sense of scale.
BE sort of glosses over this, even if it shows a handful of rebel leaders being hanged. Local communities such as Norwich, Yarmouth and others involved would have been greatly effected in terms of the proportion of their population who were now dead.
And the number of people hanged, drawn, and quartered at the market cross in norwich.. it was 30 or so i think? i can't imagine watching all those people be brutally killed on the same spot in one day. There were churchmen hanged from their steeples in various towns (oh how funnily ironic of you!) - this also extended to William, Robert Kett's brother,
'likewise hanged on the toppe of Windham [Wymondham] Steeple'
And, ofc, people's hung, drawn and quartered body parts were placed on the town/city gates. There were hangings in many local areas wherever support for the rebellion had existed.
Rebels were also hanged actually from the oak of reformation, which I’d argue is a fairly pointed inversion and disregard for such a key symbol of the revolt. It strikes me as particularly cruel and dismissive. as in, everything they tried to convey about themselves was shown to be utterly pointless and irrelevant.
memories of all this lasted, as you can imagine, for decades afterwards, like in 1596:
'the people that there [oxfordshire] did Rise were persuaded to goe home, and were after hanged like dogges'
This deficit in the show is seemingly symptomatic of the general under-representation of the sheer scale of what was happening. the number of amassed people shown is miniscule compared not only to the numbers at Mousehold but also those across the south - as well as some disturbances in the north. I feel like this couldve been mentioned in the dialogue since showing all that wouldve been very difficult, as the scale was most likely a budget thing. But showing merely the killing of Kett and a handful of others does the whole sequence of events a terrible disservice.
It also glosses over the extent to which this was a factor in Somerset's fall, and it was a big factor. The nobility felt he was prioritising the commons over their own interest. Paulet wrote in a pretty exasperated way about Somerset’s policies, and ofc Warwick grew increasingly impatient with him. The common people actually rose in decent numbers when he asked them, but Seymour turned them away in the end. I think he likely realised it was a bridge too far. Edward was actually allowed to survive for a short time after the risings, but not by much.
Anyway, overall i felt the show was far too harsh towards the rebels and presented them as very one-dimensional. And on the flip-side if anything it was too kind towards the nobility in its depictions of their response, considering they showed only a few hangings and not the overwhelming scale of death and brutality that followed. It’s been a while since I’ve watched the show, but did they mention the battle at mousehold, even? If not I think that’s diabolical
(As an aside to that last point, I do find John Dudley interesting. And I mention that because I want to be clear, I’m not saying you can’t like these people, or find them fascinating or compelling or moving. But when ‘these people’ are Tudor ministers you have to be prepared that they will have done some terrible things. Whether that behaviour is the ‘norm’ then or not, it still makes for difficult, upsetting reading. And I’m saying this as someone who does find the characters of these v competent/influential ministers really fascinating - like Wolsey, Cromwell, Cranmer, Dudley, Cecil etc. I mean, Cecil in the wake of the northern revolt? Reading those documents makes me feel a bit sick actually. It’s chilling. But anyway, anyone in the court can come under this umbrella to varying extents, but the drivers/orchestrators of policy are obviously - next to the monarchs - at the heart of any brutality…)

So!!!
… I had wild dream last night. About getting followed/stalked. And trying to call the police, which is 9 1 1. A number that was seeing a lot a couple months ago. Only in my dream when I was trying to dial it it would change to 311 or 611. I think I seen 311 flash once, but 611 was blaring at me, and it didn’t help that today when I was talking to the universe that 6:11 showed up on the clock.
SO! I looked up what those numbers mean spiritually and this is what I got…

I’m really feeling more in tuned with the universe and my angels lately. And I do feel a change happening on my life. I just can’t wait for it happen but I’m being patient and hoping that the universe continues to give me patience.
Granted I saw twin flames and with hearing/reading that something or someone is coming into my life, it felt only right to figure out what twin flames means…

Which is crazy! I can only think of one person when it comes to having a potential twin flame. But only time will tell if my guess is right. Cause I definitely been tripping off the person since I meet them, but have talked to them in about a year or so.
Life is feeling magical.
