I’m all for keeping the two characters away from eachother or for taking their relationship slow burn (mutual pining can be amazing) but you need to have good reason for why the characters aren’t getting together, rather than just arbitrary bullshit - especially when you always have these missed connections, where whenever A is ready to move, B has given up and started dating someone else, and then vice-versa, or otherwise one of them always has a hangup at just the wrong time.
