Ⓠ After the announcement at the summer concert last August (of 2023), you were officially promoted from a kenkyuusei to a regular member at the theater performance in December (of 2023). How did you feel during that time? Yuha: "There was actually a fair amount of time between the announcement and the promotion itself. If things had progressed quickly, I might not have been able to keep up emotionally. But since I had time to prepare myself mentally, I think it turned out for the best. It was also during the rehearsals for the 'Omoide Ippai' performance, so I reminded myself to be more dependable than ever."

Ⓠ Meanwhile, for Niigata, known for its snowy winters, the long-awaited spring has arrived. What does spring mean to you, Yuha-chan? Yuha: "There's still some snow left, so you can sometimes see the snow and cherry blossoms together. Oh, but this year we had a mild winter, so the snow might already be gone… Near my family’s home, there's a row of cherry trees along the river, and in spring, I used to take walks there often. When it comes to food, I think of kusa mochi (mugwort rice cakes)."

Ⓠ This is your third gravure photoshoot, so you’re still just starting out, right? Yuha: "Yes. Each time, they capture my natural expressions and movements, and I feel like I can show my true self more when I'm alone. I’m enjoying it."

Ⓠ What was the main focus this time? Yuha: "Up until now, I've done more mature-looking gravure shoots, but this time they incorporated things I personally like, so I think it has a really cute vibe to it."

Ⓠ On April 13 (of 2024), Honma Hinata will be graduating. That means it’s time for you, Yuha-chan, and the other 3rd generation members to take on more responsibility, right? Yuha: "I’m still not very good at bringing people together or expressing what I’m thinking… But I know I need to gradually improve in those areas, and I want to become someone others can rely on. I also want to become the kind of member people say, 'Yuuha really suits the center position.'"

Ⓠ Now you have 4th generation members joining as juniors. Yuha: "They’re all really friendly. I’m pretty shy, so I struggle to initiate conversations, but they come up to me and say things like, 'Kitamura-san, let’s take a photo together!'"

Ⓠ Do you have any dreams or goals for what kind of NGT48 you want to create? Yuha: "I think many fans may drift away when their favorite members graduate. But I want us to be the kind of group that, when those fans see us again for any reason, they think, 'I still love NGT48,' and feel drawn back to us. Also, I’ve had this thought since before I joined: Niigata is a large place with many festivals and events in each region. I want us to actively participate in those events so the people of Niigata can come to love us more."

Ⓠ Speaking of which, you were appointed as a Special Ambassador for Ojiya City (Yuha's hometown). Yuha: "Ojiya has warm-hearted people and many things to be proud of, like soba, Nishikigoi (koi fish), and bullfighting, so I hope everyone will come visit! For this gravure shoot, they prepared a lot of feathers, creating a world filled with things I love. As the 3rd generation members, we’ll work hard to lead the group and make it even better than before, so please keep supporting us!"

How the Todorokis call each other (Part 4)

So this is a recap of my previous posts (part 1, part 2, part 3) which merely list which terms they use with also listed the simplest translation possible. If you aren’t familiar with Japanese I recommend you to look at the previous posts to get a more accurate translation of the words listed.

Also I first listed the word/words they use to refer to the person in question regularly, then added an extra section to list the words they had used only once or twice, or solely under certain circumstances. Note that in the extra section the words are usually reported decontextualized, but context is OFTEN important to understand why they were used, so if you’re interested to a specific word I recommend you to go check the context in which it was used during the story in the previous posts.

Notably from this list I’ve left out how the Todoroki pluralize nouns because too tied to circumstances (if you're curious you can find it in part 3).

HAVOC/HARMONY

first unit i made: havoc/harmony (i usually just call them h/h) they have three members: shohei (leader), ryu, and yuina (we are not going to question how this will be inaccurate to canon-) and since i’m a kpop fan too they have this little concept where shohei controls havoc, yuina controls harmony, and ryu is the balance between the two, which pretty much explains their dynamic as a unit and their personalities. i first started out with ryu on a whim and created the entire unit idk i don’t plan things i ‘yolo’ it.

shohei tends to be aggressive and ends up getting into fights, he sometimes causes problems on accident. his good leadership skills and brotherly instincts make up for it. ryu is the youngest sakuma (surprise) and he’s trans (surprise 2), he likes cool things, collecting things, and his creepy miku doll that scares the living shit out of both tatsumi and koga. yuina is half-filipino half-japanese, very poetic but is still learning the japanese language, despite that she acts as the lyricist of the group. very calm, introverted, gets babied by the other two because she’s the youngest. (there’s more info but yeah whhwuwhsjw)

if i were to describe the absolute hell that is playvor it would be: 2 past fine apologists and 2 eccentric supporters “forced” into a unit. they have four members: himeya (leader), mayune, shizuha, and isami. this unit is… angsty. they had an EXTREMELY rocky start and the unit was pretty much divided. that’s ! era though, everything is well in playvorland during !! i based their concept on ‘christian girl kpop’ and pastel + cute girl groups like early gfriend, fromis_9, oh my girl, etc etc

himeya is meant to sound like himemiya on purpose since she’s close to tori/looks like his sister (along with eichi and yuzuru. EMPHASIS ON EICHI) she has loads of connections, generally appears very sweet and sister-like. disliked ibara during ! but it’s because their personalities are similar and she hasn’t realized her wrongdoings yet. mayune is. a. NERD. (affectionately) she’s an IT person, usually coding in her room or helping valkyrie with stage tech. did i mention she reminds shu of mademoiselle (appearance-wise). has beef with natsume LMAO he asked her to join switch more than once. shizuha is wataru’s (self-proclaimed) favorite student. she loves acting, fashion, and calling people out. dislikes: hiyori tomoe. but they are secretly besties. her nickname is grass due to her green hair and ahoge that looks like… grass. unintentionally plays therapist at times, this is how she befriended izumi and kaoru so fast she just… exposed them and their trauma. AND isami is tori’s number one enemy because she steals both himeya and yuzuru from him LAUGHS the hatred is mutual. used to follow himeya everywhere during her first year bc she didn’t know what was going on, she just vibed. lowkey a bully though, she was the one that started calling shizuha ‘kusa-chan’.

Sola/Calling for Rain II

Jiraiya gets pulled away from peeping on the hot springs spying for local gossip by T&I requesting his skills as a Fuuinjutsu Master. Jiraiya grudgingly goes. He's never been a fan of the place and looking over whatever prisoner they've got instead of the lovely ladies down below isn't his idea of a good afternoon.

But orders are orders, and these came hand-delivered via ANBU.

He arrives at T&I, only to discover the request isn't for a prisoner.

Uzumaki Kyoho. Vicious tempered Kusa kunoichi renowned for cutting her opponents into pieces or burning them alive with the white-hot fire that earned her the moniker 'the Inferno.' Youngest shinobi to earn the rank of jounin since the end of the Third War at fifteen, and the youngest shinobi to earn themselves an entry in a Bingo Book ever. At age eleven.

Killing a dozen Kiri genin at their own Chuunin Exams while brandishing her Uzumaki heritage as sword and shield will do that. Killing the team from Kumo started up whispers of Uzushio's ghost come to seek revenge. The Iwa team was just collateral. Supposedly. Iwa didn't have any hand in Uzushio's destruction, but Jiraiya doesn't doubt every non-Kusa and Konoha genin tried their hardest to kill the young Uzumaki.

The only confirmed Uzumaki Jiraiya's found outside Konoha.

Now one of two, according to the report on one Uzumaki Karin, Kyoho's younger sister. Defected to Konoha during the second phase of Chuunin Exams after encountering a long lost cousin in Naruto, being abandoned by her team, and then rescued by the Last Uchiha, who'd recognized Karin as a potential Uzumaki and sought her out on Naruto's behalf.

Oh, the kid apparently had pictures of Mikoto and Kushina and recognized the Uzumaki red hair that way. Which raises concerns if he has pictures of Naruto's other parent but that's something to investigate later.

Uchiha-brat vouched for Karin and petitioned the Hokage to recruit her older sister Kyoho. Who, by her younger sister's testimony, wouldn't hesitate to defect to Konoha with Karin there.

Reading Karin and Kyoho's testimonies of their treatment at Kusa's hands, seeing the reports from the medical ninja of the scars littering both sisters, some that are almost ten years old, Jiraiya can believe it.

Kusa are idiots.

But the reason for Jiraiya's presence are the seals.

The explosive tag, swiped from the alarmingly large stash Karin had on her, is nothing like Jiraiya's ever seen, and he's familiar with all the standard and not-so-standard tags used by every shinobi village. Oh, the concept is simple enough. Water-nature chakra storage with a converter to Fire-nature for the actual explosion. Common enough, though most Uzumaki favored a Lightning conversion over a Fire one, but given Kyoho's marked affinity for Fire it made sense her sister would also use that.

No, what's unusual are the kanji used to invoke the seal's power. All the sealing styles Jiraiya's ever seen invoke beings of power - dragons, phoenixes, other mythical beasts. Truly powerful seals invoke the gods, a precarious endeavor because gaining the attention of the gods was never safe.

'Tide-mother' he could sort of see, given the kanji for Tide was the same as the kanji in Uzushio, and the Uzumaki had never named their sea and storm gods to those outside the clan. But 'Cleansing Fire'?

The explosive seals from Kyoho's stash are purely Fire-natured, but they use the same kanji.

Well, if there's anyone who knows the answers, it's the woman sitting fearlessly across the table from Morino Ibiki.

There's no better insight into the thought process of another fuuinjutsu user than an up close and personal look at their sealing style, and the lovely Kyoho-chan has half a dozen seals inked into her skin. And to think he'd have to deal with an ugly mugged prisoner!

Today's looking to be a good day.

Jiraiya enters the room by throwing open the door. Ibiki doesn't twitch, but Kyoho's hand drops to an empty weapon holster. He grins at her. "I'm here to look at those seals of yours, Grape-chan. Shirt off."

The seals on Kyoho's face lend themselves to a truly menacing scowl. Jiraiya's grin widens and he ruffles her hair. Kyoho ducks away from his hand before he can tug at her braids, her deep snarl showing some impressive Summons-Marked canines. Cute.

He starts with the seals on Kyo-chan's face. Though he has to unpack the seals from their compacted, tattoo-like state first. Which means he has to slap one of his own seals on Kyoho so he can actually see her scriptwork. She's none too pleased about that, but grits her teeth, clenches on hand on the table, and stays carefully still while he gets to work.

The seals at her mouth and nose - a single line down the nose and three on her chin - filter the air against airborne toxins. Fair enough, her Chuunin Exams were in Kiri. It's a passive seal, continuously drawing on Kyoho's chakra instead of having invocation and power components.

The seal around her eyes - tiny scales fanning out from the sides, not at all like Orochimaru's purple markings - is meant to redirect light within the eye. Why?

"Kiban. Also known as Eyeshine." Kyoho sighs when Jiraiya doesn't understand the technical term. "A reflective film at the back of the eye that reflects light back through the retina, increasing the amount of light available to the eyes' photoreceptors."

Ibiki speaks up while Jiraiya's still trying to translate that into normal language. "Night vision."

"After a fashion."

That's a seal Kyoho has to consciously activate and hold, similar to a dojutsu if Jiraiya remembers Tsunade's long ago lectures on the subject during the Second War.

The black band circling her throat unravels with another unusual kanji. "Earth Smith?"

"Land-Forger." Kyoho corrects, but doesn't offer further detail.

"Earth chakra conversion." Jiraiya notes. Drawing on its hardening properties as protection. He pulls away from the seal and doesn't miss how Kyoho relaxes.

Ibiki doesn't miss it either. "Don't like anyone near your throat?" He asks, because he's an asshole.

Kyoho shoots him a withering look. "You've never had your throat slit." She retorts.

Jiraiya pauses where he's examining what looks like a regeneration seal over Kyoho's heart that might rival Tsunade's Strength of a Hundred. Glances at the black tattoo around her throat. If there's a scar, he can't see it beneath the ink.

Ibiki raises a brow.

Kyoho's smile is not friendly. "Shinen killed them for it."

Ah, yes, her giant cat of a Summons, currently on a mission of revenge for Kyoho, and capable of killing jounin according to Hawk-taicho's report. Might have been when Shinen killed one. Jiraiya idly wonders which village they were from. Kyoho's got a dozen dead jounin to her name.

A-ranked threat in three Bingo Books, and all of them want her very, very dead.

Explains the regeneration seal. It's a well crafted piece of work, even if the conversion used for it makes no sense. How does Divine Dragon of the Sky relate to healing? 'He's a god of life' helps only slightly, and Jiraiya chalks it up to it being one of the Uzumaki gods and leaves it at that. It also features the Cleansing Fire - which Kyoho translates as Purifying Pyre - for the power invocation.

The seals on her forearms though - those are fascinating. Purifying Pyre again, probably Kyoho's default invocation, but the conversion this time is 'Heavenly Light,' and the other components include both a physical converter and one for memory. He has no idea what it does.

Kyoho's explanation is long and technical and far too much like Orochimaru whenever his old teammate explained about his newest jutsu experiments. Jiraiya had happily forgotten how incomprehensible R&D types could be.

"So instead of creating a pocket dimension," like literally everyone else, "you use the seals to store objects as light? How is that even work?"

Kyoho opens her mouth, looks at him, then sighs and gives up on an explanation. "It just does."

Shifting to look at the seals on her back - taking one more look a her chest, Kyoho's no Tsunade but it's still a lovely view - Jiraiya starts at the one over the center of her spine. It's a straightforward chakra storage seal. An Uzumaki having a store of extra chakra to draw on is frankly overkill in Jiraiya's opinion, but Jiraiya recognizes that it's a trauma response to nearly dying from chakra depletion as a child.

Creating seals to protect herself isn't the worst coping method he's seen.

The last and largest tattoo takes the form of a blade-like shape along her spine from nape to the chakra storage seal, lines fanning down across her shoulders and upper back like sun rays or wings. The seal itself has the Purifying Pyre invocation and both the Heavenly Light and Divine Dragon of the Sky conversions. The Heavenly Light is paired with the physical converter and memory combination like her storage seals, while the Divine Dragon links with the Pyre-invocation. The last component is the… Four Winds?

"Cardinal Winds." Kyoho explains. "Power to convert mass into light and provide the needed force, the Cardinal Winds to direct that mass and force along the desired vectors, and the memory component to reassemble at the end."

Jiraiya rolls his eyes. R&D types. "And in normal language…?"

"High velocity movement."

Oh, yeah that makes… wait a minute. Jiraiya runs the process through his head again. Invocation for power for the speed and direction, by what's… converting into light… "Tell me you aren't using the Heavenly Light on yourself."

"I'm not using the Heavenly Light on myself." Kyoho says dutifully, the liar. Jiraiya whacks her upside the head. "Ow!"

"Are you insane?! Why would you do that?" Of all the block-headed, ill-conceived, reckless ideas- Scattered in a burst of light never to reform, reformed in pieces, running into something with enough force to kill herself. He can think of so many ways that could have gone wrong. He whacks her upside the head again.

Kyoho swears back at him. "How else was I supposed to do it?"

"Any other way! How did that not kill you?"

"Because I know what I'm doing, obviously-"

Ibiki clears his throat, pointedly. "Your opinion, Jiraiya-sama?"

Jiraiya huffs, but stands up from behind Kyoho. He'll continue to yell at the brat later. "The brat's lucky to be alive." He says, and tries not to pout when Kyoho redresses herself.

Ibiki's expression doesn't shift, but he radiates a flatly unamused air that conveys how unimpressed he is at Jiraiya not answering his question. Kyoho looks fascinated. Jiraiya rolls his eyes. "Grape-chan's not lying about being self taught. Her style isn't anything like the Uzumaki Clan's, or any of the shinobi villages. She'll need to train an apprentice before she can claim the title, but she's certainly skilled enough to be a fuuinjutsu master." Kyoho glares at him for the nickname.

"And her other seals?"

He waves a dismissive hand. "Fine. Nothing that will harm anyone." Not that Kyoho isn't capable of using those seals to be lethal, but the seals themselves aren't combat seals. And nothing that trips concerns about her being a spy.

She could have something hidden in those storage seals of hers. Jiraiya doesn't know how he'd go about forcing them to release their full contents like a standard storage seal, so they're stuck at taking Kyoho's word that she's handed everything over for analysis.

She'll have an ANBU watcher for a while. She's a foreign, jounin-ranked shinobi. They can't keep her away from Naruto once she's a citizen, not when Kyoho's an Uzumaki and under the protection of the Uchiha, but they're sure as hell not going to risk Naruto's safety.

Hmm, he should drop by a couple times. He needs to finish lecturing the brat on appropriate safety with fuuinjutsu experimentation. Maybe pick her brain a bit more - the way her imagination works is vastly different than any other fuuinjutsu user he's encountered and she's a much prettier conversation partner to boot.

And maybe poke his godson a bit more. The brat looks so much like Minato it's painful, but he reacts exactly like Kushina and it's hilarious.

6 Weeks Into The Talking Stage - The Official Confession

I, Aone Takanobu, am in love.

The 6’4” beauty finally admitted that to himself for the first time: right now at this very moment. He currently stared at himself in the dirty mirror in the bathroom of the bowling alley he’d taken you to on a second date.

You were waiting for him patiently in your lane, happy, and keeping busy. Even just thinking about how cute you looked trying to pick up the heavy balls meant for the professionals—his heart skipped a beat. (Also recalling how great your ass and legs looked in those tight jeans when you bent over to roll the bowling ball...... Aone had to start looking away whenever you rolled now as to not allow his hormones to get the better of him).

Must be. I’m in love. He told himself again, though I don’t think he had to convince himself.

Or anyone, tbh.

Sure, Kenji-san knew Aone was in love with Y/N about 7 months in to his crush when he made them go to a cheerleading competition of yours even though he was heartbroken that you were seeing someone else.

And sure, Kogenagawa knew Aone was in love with Y/N when he’d seen his mountainous senpai who never showed emotion practically beg him to sneak the cupcake he held on Y/N’s desk on her birthday last year.

And sure, Katana Oulle knew Aone was in love with Y/N when he had been so shockingly in-tune with her best friend that he ran over and caught her just in time before she hit the grass at a cheer practice you invited him to last week. He hadn’t been standing that far from the stunt, so that isn’t what made her realize. It was the look on his face when he caught her: like she was the most important thing in the world.

And sure.... Kusa knew Aone was in love with Y/N when........well......... maybe the 1st day she’s caught him staring at her in class a year and a half ago, she gathered that he was unable to look away whenever Y/N was laughing, but Kusa decided to stay out of it in hopes that Aone would crack out of his shell and you’d stop being so lost.

They all knew.

And maybe Aone always did too, from the first day that he laid eyes on you and automatically pointed......but he just refused to believe it.

Until now.

As he stared at himself in the mirror, Aone knew he was in love with you right now, at this moment because he was willing to let you go.

For the past six weeks Aone Takanobu has considered himself to be the luckiest man on the planet.

To get the opportunity to spend time with you, to hold your books, to make you smile, to make you laugh, he never knew it was possible to feel such strong levels of happiness.

His heart soared every time you approached him, every time you called his name, and he literally went to school early sometimes because he just couldn’t wait to see you.

To court you was even better.

He was finally able to tell you how pretty you looked each day and to see your face light up slightly when you saw him. He literally thought he’d either faint one day by how much your attention meant to him or that it’d get easier to see you, but it didn’t.

On your dates outside of school you seemed happy to Aone, and he tried to play it as cool as he could, but inside, he just wanted to skip this part already. If he thought it was bad to like you and you not notice him, THIS was worse:

Aone couldn’t stand being in the “in between” with you:

He could make you smile at him on a date but you two weren’t serious enough that he could give you a good night kiss like he so desired. You were serious enough that you grabbed his hand sometimes to lead him somewhere you wanted him to be, but not serious enough that you held his hand absentmindedly like he had to stop himself from reaching to do a dozen times. You were serious enough to tell eachother that you enjoyed each others company, but not serious enough that you wouldn’t stop yourself from asking him if that girl that just walked by was “so pretty! Right, Aone?”

Staring at himself in the mirror in the bowling alley, Aone couldn’t understand how you didn’t know that no one else was pretty to him. At least not in the way you were asking about.

Why?

Because, as all your friends could see, you were IT for him.

And he loved you.

But that was ONLY solidified when you two were just out there in the bowling lanes. It occurred after Aone came behind you after you asked so he could wrap his arms around you to aid you in scoring your first ever strike. 🎳 With his steering and added strength: you did!

Like the cheerleader you are, you screamed and started jumping up and down. Your eyes went as wide as saucers when all the pins dropped and without thinking you jumped into Aone’s arms excitedly, wrapping your legs around his waist and hugging his neck so tightly it almost hurt the muscular man.

“Great job, Y/N.” Aone chuckled, his entire body drowning in exuberance as he held you back tightly, never wanting to let you go. Your scent the only thing he could smell, your embrace the only thing he could feel: it was all he ever wanted.

All he ever needed.

An older couple next to you that Y/N had built a friendly relationship with tonight clapped for her first strike, telling her how she is lucky to have such a bowling pro for a boyfriend.

Aone’s face went bright red and Y/N stilled in his arms. Takanobu reluctantly set you down gently, feeling the mood change to awkward as hell.

“Haha, thank you.” You said to the elderly couple awkwardly. “Aone-san is my just my friend, though.” You added.

Cue the feels again:

Feeling his heart drop worse than it had when you had asked your teacher who on earth he was, Aone swallowed thickly.

Friend?

The older couples’ face dropped too, and they looked up at Aone sympathetically, as they were clearly able to tell throughout watching their date that there were strong feelings on his end, just by the way he looked at Y/N.

Playing it very cool even with a squeezed heart, Aone took his next turn then excused himself to the bathroom.

Now, After splashing water on his face, he was here. Looking at his hurt reflection in the mirror.

Admitting finally to himself that he was in love.

So in love, in fact, that he realized that what he initially thought about just being around you being enough was furthest from the truth. Takanobu couldn’t just be your friend. He wouldn’t be able to handle not showing you the full extent of his feelings, it was hard enough as is. It wasn’t like he was crushing from afar anymore, you were on a date with him right now.

Kenji: ’Aone, Stop torturing yourself,’

Aone could practically hear the sound of his best friend Futakuchi from when he was telling Aone not to stay in a stage he isn’t happy with back when you never noticed him.

Aone nodded at the memory.

Kenji was right then, and he was right now.

Poor lovesick mountain man always let you take the reigns in whichever direction you wanted to go because he didn’t want to ruin things.

Yeah well, nothing could ruin things more than the love of his life referring to him as a friend.

Friends don’t crush on eachother for years, Aone thought earnestly, thinking about the countless nights he wished you’d just return his feelings. ☹️

Enough was enough.

He had to tell you.

Splashing water on his face one last time, Aone wiped his face quickly then stormed out of the men’s bathroom. He look frightening to others, this determined giant strutting toward bowling lane 9 like he had the most important news in the world to share.

But Aone didn’t care.

You looked up from tightening your ugly bowling shoe laces as you were speaking happily to the elderly couple—to finally see your date returning from the bathroom. Feeling butterflies because he was coming, you waved at him.

Aone didn’t wave back. He approached the three of you, towering over y’all, he addressed the couple first.

“Terribly sorry to interrupt.” Takanobu apologized rapidly. Then, he turned all his attention to you. You felt your entire body heat up under his intense (and sexy) gaze.

“Aone? What’s wro-“

“I’m not your friend, Y/N.” Mountain man snapped, interrupting you.

You pulled your eyebrows together, awestruck.

“W-what?”

“I said: I’m not your friend.”

Your mouth fell open, feeling very hurt. “Aone, S-sorry I thought you liked my p-personality a-and I just thought—“

“The reason I can’t be your friend is because I like you so much more than a friend Y/N. You have no idea how much more.”

Your jaw dropped wider than ever before, immediately relieved that he didn’t despise you.

The elderly couple hid their smiles behind their hands and slowly stepped back to give you two what little privacy two people could get in the centre of a bowling alley 🤷.

“Everything about you drives me absolutely insane, Y/N. In the best way.” Aone’s eyes softened as he thought about the things he loved about you. “Your spirit, your kindness, the way you support your friends...... the way you look when you don’t understand what the teacher is saying, the way you put your all into simple fundraisers because it would help your team, even the way you can’t notice when a classmate who has been crushing on you for over two years feels heartbroken when you refer to him as a friend.”

You were speechless as he continued.

“I’m not your friend. I don’t want to be. I want to be everything else for you. Everything more. Y/N, I have a confession to make.”

Mountain man chuckled stoically to himself because it was a little too late to announce a confession. Pushing on, Aone took a deep breath first. You looked so cute when you were speechless and it made his stomach flip.

“Y/N-chan, remember when you asked me after our first lunch together if the reason I spoke so much to you was because you might be special to me..? And I responded saying that if you let me take you on a few dates I’ll know for sure....?”

You nodded ever so slightly.

Aone stepped closer to you, wanting his confession to not be misinterpreted. He dipped his head down so that he could say this next part in your ear.

“Honestly, I cannot think of anyone more special to me than you, Y/N. I am absolutely crazy about you. I have been for years.”

The sound of his attractive voice in your ear so serious and unwavering, giving you such a groundbreaking and passionate confession, it made your knees wobble. You reached out to clutch his strong arms for support. Aone put his hands on your waist protectively, feeling you sway.

“Y/N. Are you alright?” There was concern all wrapped up in this beautiful man’s voice in your ear.

How much he cared for you was evident in his voice. Evident in his soft hold of your waist.......

After a few moments, you pulled back to look up at him.

How much he truly wanted to treasure you was especially evident in his eyes.

Like the lightbulb switch of the century, it finally clicked to you that you’d heard that same level of care in his voice before. The back of your brain that throws out memories that are not connected to cheer, specific ones—were brought to the forefront of your brain, flashing in bright lights. You recognized Aone’s voice now, his hold, his look:

His face now showed up in your mind as you remembered glimpses of seeing Aone through the years,

When Aone told Tsume to leave you alone all those weeks ago, the same care for you was evident in his voice. When you raced out of library after slapping Futakuchi across the face, you’d almost bumped into someone and the hold on your waist to steady you with care back then was the same hold Aone held you in now. That was him. And those eyes— the desire in Aone’s eyes were the same eyes that watched you when you slammed a fundraiser flyer on his cafeteria table and smiled at the table dismissively. He was at that table. Desiring you.

All those memories happened; days, weeks, months, even years ago: which meant Aone cared about you even then. He was telling you the truth.

You couldn’t believe it.

You leaned into him for support, into the man that made your heart flutter—something you’ve never felt before—the man you had told your best friends Katana and Kusa that you could happily spend the rest of your life with just this morning. Resting your head on his chest, you nodded in response to his question about whether you were okay or not because your knees had gone weak.

Aone gently moved you so that he could caress your beautiful face as he looked down at you, studying your features.

“You are perfect.....” He said softly. This big, giant, scary mountain man was being so soft....for you. “I wish I could be whatever you wanted me to be and just be platonic. But I can’t shut off these feelings. They just get stronger and stronger. Therefore, I can’t just be your friend, Y/N. It is killing me. I apologize.”

You stared up into the dark but sincere eyes of the athlete, searching for any indication that he didn’t mean all that he just said to you since he’d returned.

Of course, you found none. There was none in your newly clear memories of him staring at you in class either and definitely none now. The boy was as serious as a heart attack.

“Aone,” you whispered, surprised that any sound even came out.

“Hm?” He grunted.

You curled your finger at him again, and Aone automatically bent down so you could whisper in his ear.

You got super close to his ear, feeling heady because this is obviously where he spritzed his heavenly cologne that turned you into putty so it was strongest here.

You took a deep breath of his delicious scent before asking what you had told your girlfriends you would ask him next weekend.

“Aone Takanobu, will you be my boyfriend?”

You ask.

Aone gasps. Freezing his entire body, he looked like:

He didn’t even answer. Just like he didn’t answer when you told him you’d see him later.

Mountain Man just stood there bent to your level, frozen like meat in the freezer—holding that cute just-got-electrocuted expression.

You don’t need me to tell you that this big baby was feeling as dubious as ever. He could not for the life of him speak because he was so in disbelief that this was real.

Feeling needed in this crucial moment, the elderly couple that you two have made friends with quickly shuffled behind you so that they could see Aone.

“Blink twice if the answer is yes!” Offered the elderly man with a smile as he held the waist of his wife of 30+ years.

Aone couldn’t speak but he thanked the older couple infinitely inside, before blinking twice.

“He said yes, dear!” Called the woman to you as she clutched onto her husbands shirt in excitement.

You smiled into Aone’s shoulder as you hugged your new boyfriend, kissing his cheek over and over.

Aone needed a long time to sit down and recover, seeing as this shock was more severe than the first time you kissed his cheek in the hallway. You thought it was so adorable how much you affected him and so you just ended up bowling with the elderly couple until your boyfriend was back to using words instead of blinks to communicate.

Half an hour later when the initial shock had sunk in, Aone called you over.

You happily obeyed, making yourself comfortable in his lap.

“Y/N. Am I dreaming?” He asked seriously. “Or did you really agree to be my girlfriend?”

You laughed loudly, wrapping your arms around his neck. You leaned in to kiss his cheek and a blush from his pale cheeks immediately greeted your lips.

“Actually,” you kissed the same spot again. “You agreed to be my boyfriend. But, yes!”

Aone nodded curtly, looking straight at the bowling pins as his cheek tingled due to your kisses.

“I see.”

He turned his head to lean down and return a kiss to your cheek for the first time ever. Along with him, your entire body felt like it turned to goo when he kissed you, you liked him so much.

“Well, Y/N, I still don’t feel like this is real yet, and for that I apologize, but please don’t get me wrong: I need you to know that this is the happiest day of my life.....” His words melted into your heart. He’s so romantic.

You beamed.

“Mine too, Aone baby... Mine too.”

uwuauhw the additions you made were so cute sjsj kusa-chan just vibing in his hoodie, Chiaki's Blaziken being the same as Oddish when it was a torchic, the zoomieeesss!! I'm just imagining Ibara staring at this hyperactive little vegetable with legs running around their dorm like it's on a sugar rush, maybe Mitsuru's fidough running around with it too lol and imagine if Midori's Magikarp evolved and now he's just here with a draconic looking Pokemon that has several dex entries that says it's capable of destroying a whole city (his Gyarados would never tho. He raised that silly fish to be a sweetheart)

And kanata's like, "would Gyarados like to puka puka with me?" He's very proud about the little derpy Magikarp evolving, since it means that Midori's been taking good care of it. Chiaki LOVES THE HECK out of that red Gyarados, and he's just bugging Midori about having the big fishy being in their live performances and Midori's like, "no." Very protective of the big fishy, goes out to the ocean with Kanata and they do indeed puka puka together along with their other Pokemon :)

Any of Ryuseitai’s water type Pokémon going puka puka with Kanata is just basically on lifeguard duty honestly—

I think Midori and Kusa-chan would be racking up EXP from training without realizing it and one day she gets annoyed at one of the other Ryusei Pokémon and gives them the tiniest little kick

And then she evolves right then and there.

Upon realizing what’s happened Midori’s new Gloom immediately starts throwing a whole new level of tantrum and due to Gloom’s nature that practice room is unusable by anyone for like 2 weeks because of the smell

It’s okay tho she gets used to it and the other Ryusei get her a little basket to be carried around in

Lord Robert McPherson Trevelyan III was a wealthy man. He excelled at “cooking the books” as they say, by moving large amounts of money without anyone noticing, making big bucks for his bosses and even bigger ones to himself, and still making it look like it was perfectly fine. Spending 400 thousand dollars in a toilet? Trevelyan could make it clean. Of course, he worked with amounts much bigger than that.

Today, he received a videocall from one of his bosses. The old coots always complained about things. The standard procedure was just telling them everything they wanted to hear and they stopped bothering you. But he couldn’t expect what he’d say.

“Trevelyan, who’s that vtuber who’s ratting us out?”

“A v…chew…bah? What the hell are you talking about?”

The boss sent a link of a clip of a “vtuber”. The thumbnail was a just a drawing of a cute demon girl. She wore a loose-fitting t-shirt and a golden tiara. Either way, it was ridiculous and even more ridiculous that his boss watched those things.

The clip was a few minutes long. He sighed and clicked.

“Hello, my dear golden devilings! Mammy-chan has a new beloved! Before, I need to thank aurock89 for the superchat, may you have a golden day! But, let’s look at Lord Robert McPherson Trevelyan III.”

“Mammy-chan” started to show his spreadsheets! How, just how did she get that? He used the state-of-art encryption!

“Oooo, look at all this stolen money from orphanages and sending them to wars. Devilings, is he naughty?”

A poll appeared in the corner of the screen and the chat started to vote “naughty”.

“He’s naughty! Time for a Reckoning Stream!”

The “reckoning stream” would be…in five minutes?

This was a joke. Some cartoon woman was screwing with him. But his boss wasn’t joking.

“Trevelyan, the damn FEDs are here! Goodbye and fu-”

The call cut shortly. Trevelyan was confused, but something gnawed on the back of his head. If this was a prank it had to be an extremely elaborate one. He looked into his safe and the documents that vtuber showed on stream were there. But how?

He needed a cup of water.

He went to the kitchen and the television in his kitchen turned on spontaneously on that vtuber page.

“Helloooo, devilings!” The vtuber appeared after a quick countdown.

“Today, our guest is Lord Robert McPherson Trevelyan III, say hello!”

On the corner of the screen, Trevelyan was there. The chat exploded with memes and emotes. He dropped the glass of water.

“How are you, Mr. Trevelyan? I’m Mammy-chan! You know you were judged naughty, right?”

“…What?”

“You did all those naughty things with money, right?”

“You talk nonsense. What’s your bloody damage?”

“Trevie, is that how you treat your oshi?” Mammy-chan made a sad face, that only made Trevelyan wince. There was something wrong in her eyes.

“Go to hell! Don’t call me Trevie!”

“Trevie, you always loved me. After all, fufufu…” her pupils slit and her voice changed, “I am Mammon, Demon of Greed.”

Under his feet, the floor collapsed, into a pit of fire below. Golden tentacles emerged, writhing and wrapping his body. The hot gold burned into his skin, into his organs, into his very cells. He had only strength scream.

As the tentacles dragged him down, he could see the chat sending emotes, memes, Fs, and kusas, while lots of superchats appeared. All while the light of his eyes turned burning gold. The screams of the damned muffled the last words he heard in his home: “And that is all for today, remember to like and subscribe, my golden devilings!”

Kurahara Chinatsu - Illustrator and character designer. Worked formerly for Nitro+CHiRAL (BL VN company), but is now a freelance artist best known for her character design work for Uta no Prince-sama and Fire Emblem.

Kureno Mataaki - BL manga artist. Her works include Shuchuu ni Otoshite Ii desu ka, Juuyoku ni Koishite and Gaman Nante o Yoshinasai.

Kasukabe Akira - Manga artist and illustrator. She is currently working on Rokugatsu no Shichisei which is a BL manga published in Rutile.

Saitou Misaki - Manga artist (mostly seinen) and illustrator. Drew the Reo to Mabu Futari wa Sarazanmai manga. She’s currently working on Keishichou Battouka, a supernatural mystery series about a special police division that focuses on cases where people are possessed by swords with mysterious powers.

Techno Samata - Manga artist and illustrator. She’s known for her BL works Higasa-chan and Kusa no Kanmuri Hoshi no Kanmuri which were both published in Rutile. She has also written shoujo and yuri manga.

Morishima Akiko - Manga artist. Known for her comedic yuri manga. She was the original character designer for Yurikuma Arashi and she drew the Yurikuma Arashi manga.

Azumi Kyohei - BL manga artist. Her works Katakoi Lamp, Loose Pocket and Itsudemo Kimi ga were published in Rutile. She’s also known for Itoribocchi Garnet and Itokoi.

Amano Sakuya - Manga artist. Best known for her series Konohana Kitan, a heartwarming and yuri-subtext heavy series about fox girls working at an inn, and for drawing the GOSICK manga adaptation.

Ishino Aya - Manga artist (mainly BL). Her works include Country Diary, The Trigger, Marigold and Room Share.

Sakuraba Chidori - BL manga artist. She is known for her works Nakimushi Salaryman no koi no Arikata and the Voice series (Ore-sama Voice, Ijiwaru Voice, Tsundere Voice etc.).

Shibata Isuzu - Manga artist (mainly romance and shoujo). Her notable works include REALIVE!: Teito Kagura Butai, Watashi to Shishou to Kagetoki no Tabi and Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken. She was the artist for the Mawaru Penguindrum manga adaptation. 

Nakamura Asumiko - Manga artist. Best known for her BL works and the series Doukyuusei. She’s has a joint manga project together with Ikuhara know as Nokemono to Hanayome that has been ongoing since 2007.

Funato Akari - Manga artist and illustrator. Best known for her seinen historical mystery manga Under the Rose.

Yamamoto Kotetsuko - Manga artist (mainly BL). She is currently working on Toritan which is published in Rutile. She’s also known for her BL works Ashita wa Docchi da! and Honto Yajuu.

Riyo - Manga artist (mainly comedy). Professionally they’re drawing Fate/Grand Order manga and privately they’re dedicating their life to Idolm@ster.
