Black and White. 8
Story: 8
Chemistry: 10
Acting: 10
Comparable to: Iris (kdrama) ; City Hunter (kdrama)
This is an oldie Taiwanese cop buddy drama. It’s really well made for being made in 2009 and is actually good too. The storyline can get a bit far fetched at times but most dramas back then did, I mean heck they still do, right. It has a lot of twists and does keeps you very much engaged. It kind of has that Lethal Weapon feel to it I suppose.

* *
Lin memleketinin 'Tigin'i çocuğun henüz yaşadığını duyunca, onu öldürtmek için askerler gönderdi. Gelen askerler Börü’yü, çocuğun yanında gördüler. Börü’yü öldürmek istediler, fakat Börü kaçarak Kao-Ch-ang (Uygur) memleketinin kuzeyindeki dağa (Ergene Kon'a?) gitti. Börü bu mağaranın içine kaçtı ve orada on tane çocuk doğurdu, on çocuk büyüyünce dışarıdan kızlar alarak evlendiler. Karıları gebe kaldı, bunların doğurduğu çocukların her birinden bir soy türedi.

Chou Mahou Tairiku Wozz
Sistema: Super Famicom//Sviluppatore: Hudson, Media Works//Uscita: 1995
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spotlight Chou Mahou Tairiku Wozz (超魔法大陸ヴォズ) fa parte della raccolta A Guide to Japanese Role-Playing Games, Bitmap Books, 2021.

Tumblr media Tumblr media

The Masked Lover. 5
Story: 6
Acting: 8
Chemistry: 8
Comparable to: Triad Princess (twdrama); V-Focus (twdrama)
So I’ll straight up say this wasn’t a favorite of mine by far. The saving grace for this drama was the secondary couple who were pretty adorable and everything you could want in a drama. I fast forward through a lot since it sort of fell into the category of being predictable, corny, cheesy, with plot holes galore. Sometimes I can handle it them but with this drama it was repetitive a lot. All of the ‘fighting’ scenes were choreograph and edited pretty badly I thought. At first I wasn’t sure if it was meant to be funny or not. Nonetheless overall there is some hilarious moments, especially like I mentioned, the highlight is the secondary couple.

Note
kurtbastian
who cooks normally?:
kurt does at first, and sebastian’s totally content with that. and then one day he asks sebastian to help him while he’s baking, and next thing kurt knows, sebastian’s off buying appliances and equipment like pasta machines and falling down a rabbit hole of youtube videos and food blogs.
how often do they fight?
all the time. they both pick at each other for small things. sebastian has a habit of taking jokes too far, and kurt has a habit of taking things too seriously. it’s typically more of a spat than a fight, but when they do really fight, it’s explosive.
what do they do when they’re away from each other?
kurt wakes up early in the morning and gets a lot of his downtime then. sebastian stays up late at night writing. but overall, kurt’s better with time alone than sebastian is. sebastian, despite his whole act, is very needy.
nicknames for each other?:
kurt calls sebastian “bas” mostly, but both of them are partial to “babe”. because kurt is so amused by “mon petit chou” (my little cabbage), sebastian starts making up fake french terms of endearment and convinces them they’re real. it all comes to a head when kurt uses one in front of sebastian’s family and sebastian finally cracks and can’t stop laughing.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?:
sebastian typically, but kurt always tries to get the check from the waiter when he can get away with it without causing a scene.
who steals the covers at night?:
they both do. it’s a tug-of-war most nights with lots of whining from both sides about how “you always do this”. they’re also insufferably bad at kicking the blanket onto the other person when it’s too hot.
what would they get each other for gifts?:
kurt likes to do things with personal touches or buy gifts that are more “experiences” rather than material. sebastian grew up with plenty of money, so he is used to just buying small gifts constantly. things like, “i saw you were sad, so i got your favorite cookies” or “you offhandedly mentioned that you liked that shirt when we passed by that store, so i went back and got it for you.” it’s as infuriating as it is endearing to kurt.
who remembers things?:
they both do. sebastian’s very good at writing things down that are meaningful, and kurt’s better at just straight-up remembering.
who cusses more?
it’s pretty equal.
who kissed who first?:
the first time they kissed was when they were both drunk and neither particularly liked the other. they hooked up, and it oddly enough started a friendship between them. kurt initiated their first “real” kiss nearly a year later.
send me a ship, and i’ll tell you who does what.
