You never celebrate your birthday.
Your soul was traded long ago for a hand in retribution so now you'd prefer not to mark the passing of your limited years.
Each year was like another tally of how long it had been since the great fire, a stinging reminder of how long you've survived without your parents.
So while the rest of polite society makes birthdays an extravaganza with galas and banquets, you welcome another year by sending your staff on temporary leave and Ciel with them.
"Go into town and enjoy yourselves."
This was non-negotiable but Ciel understood your reason better than anyone else. So off they went for their annual day of leisure—and bless the beating hearts of your servants for never questioning why you chose isolation as your way of celebrating. Distracting them with the best rooms at the local establishment was partially to blame.
When everything is said and done, the Phantomhive manor is always left sitting in a biting cold, allowing you to finally take in a fresh breath of solitude.
In the dead of night, the manor offered little light aside from the moon peaking through the windows, and with no maid or butler to tail you with a candelabra, your presence would only be known by the sound of your footsteps echoing in the halls.
Each year on your birthday, you were no different from a ghost, only that you had a heartbeat.
You found yourself stopping at the ballroom entrance and after giving an almighty push to the wooden doors, they slowly groaned open.
Refined as it was, any semblance of glamour in this room disappeared when the doors shut behind you. The ballroom looked much smaller without its usual lighting; the shadows cascading from each corner made it haunting—almost derelict. Despite there being no party, you were still dressed for the occasion.
Alone or not, you wouldn’t be caught dead looking poorly.
Your pace remained slow as you strode toward the center, entertaining yourself with painfully accurate scenarios if you were hosting one of your usual gatherings. Poor Finnian would probably be running around, setting forget-me-nots to their respective arrangements; Baldroy would be cooking in the kitchen, trying his best not to light his dishes ablaze; Mey-Rin would be somewhere tripping over her own feet, and as for Sebastian… Well, he’d be making sure it doesn’t get worse than that. As much as it pained you to praise Sebastian, he was always reliable even when faced with the toughest predicaments. Everything always seemed to run smoothly when he was around.
This made you snort.
Of course, Sebastian was reliable. His bustling duties are part of the contract and everyone would suffer if he were to breach it.
Between the clicking sound of your shoes against the smooth hardwood, you thought about how many years had passed since creating your pact. Five years ago, you and your brother had nothing to lose except the one thing that made you humans—your souls. And even that was given up for him to be eternally bound to you.
The pact was purely transactional.
Nothing more, nothing less.
At least, that’s what you’d been trying to convince yourself for the last year. You’ve been through enough adventures together to dull a weak heart. If he held back within the first few years to preserve your professional relationship, you could feel his restraint chipping away the longer you stayed together.
Was it wishful thinking or was a demon truly fancying you?
While the butler occupied your train of thought, you hadn’t realized you stopped walking. You gave yourself a moment to brush away the last of your thoughts and remained in the centre of the floor. The silver moonlight nodded at you through the glass roof and with open arms, you suddenly spun in a complete circle, basking in the empty ballroom in all its glory. At that moment you felt so easy, so yourself, so—
Thump.
You snapped your head toward the sound, your heart racing only a little. It came from the staircase, but it was far too dark to see who caused it or what. All that ease you had just felt left as quickly as it came.
“Who goes there?” You called into the void.
Another thump. Footsteps.
You sucked in your breath, kicking yourself for not carrying at least a dagger. Oh well, you mentally shrugged. In cases like this, at least you had somebody to summon.
With no answer, the figure began to emerge from the darkness as it reached the foot of the staircase and what was revealed made you want to scream a string of curses.
That bloody tailcoat!
You’d be able to recognise who that belonged to even if you wore an eyepatch like your damn brother. “Oh for God’s sake,” you mumbled under your breath.
“Forgive me if I startled you, my lady.”
“What the hell is going on? What are you doing here?! And who's with Ciel?"
"May I suggest for you to calm down—"
"As I recall, I sent everybody on leave. That includes you.”
With a gloved hand over his heart, Sebastian bowed earnestly, “Ciel is being taken care of. I understand your need for isolation but it’s not often good for your mental state, my lady. I thought I could provide you with some company even if you wish to remain stoic.”
“You’re going against an order.”
He approached you slowly as if his sudden presence wasn’t the only thing he had up his sleeves, “I know I am and I know you’re capable of punishment at a later time. I’ll be happy to accept it if that means you get to experience something other than loneliness and silence on your birthday.” With a hint of a smile on his lips, he glanced at the silk scarf you had neatly wrapped around your neck, “Should you feel uncomfortable, you have the power to stop me by force.”
“You’ve gotten quite bold lately, haven’t you?” You crossed your arms and sighed. “So what next? Do I need to walk you through my impressive list of things I do whenever I—”
“There’s no need,” Sebastian took his last step in front of you before the ballroom suddenly came to life. The moon still shone as your main source of light but as if a delicate veil had been lifted, soft, orchestral music rippled inside the hall. There was nobody else aside from the two of you but you felt as though an entire symphony was hiding in the shadows. Leave it to Sebastian to wield the pleasure of music as a weapon, especially when it was the one indulgence you could truly say you cherished.
“I’m guessing this is your doing?”
He extended his hand as a subtle invitation, bowing as he did.
“Guilty as charged, my lady.”
Slightly reluctant, you accepted his hand but not without question. “Are you trying to butter me up with a dance?”
“That depends on whether or not it’s working,” He answered as he pulled you into a gentle waltz. You both move with natural elegance, light on your feet while the music ebbs and flows, and the melody feels familiar to you like you’ve done this many times before. You’ve danced with a handful of Dukes and Barons but nobody has ever led you around a ballroom as gracefully as Sebastian. He whirled you in a full circle and then pulled you close to his chest. You huffed in response.
Sebastian resisted the urge to smirk, finding your flushed expression rather cute.
“I take it that you are displeased?”
“No,” You dropped your shoulders, “But dancing with my butler wasn’t in my playing cards for tonight.”
“Yet here we are, waltzing in the ballroom,” he twirled you again before settling his hand around your waist, “Consider this a birthday present, my lady.”
You stared at Sebastian with confusion. He was the strangest person you’ve ever known. Despite him being the embodiment of somebody’s nightmare, you felt safe around him, but even more so when your eyes met.
You hated it.
“And why gift me something this year? What’s so different from previous years?”
After all, he wasn’t always so stubborn.
He slid his hand to your lower back to gently dip you; as he reeled you back in, he held you closer than before, only stopping when your faces were inches apart. From here, he could smell a hint of your perfume and he could have sworn he felt your heartbeat. He hesitated for a moment as a tinge of guilt succumbs him, “Would you mind if I told you something… personal, my lady?”
You answered curtly with a nod.
“This year is different for two reasons. The first is that you’ve haunted my thoughts for quite some time now. And the second is that… you look especially beautiful tonight.”
Your feet had stopped shuffling at this point. You stood before him, ignoring that your heart had skipped a beat, “What are you trying to say?”
His eyes flickered over your face while his mind flicked over all the possible things to answer. Instead of responding to the question, he changed the subject slightly.
“My Lady, have you ever been in love before?”
“I can’t say I have,” you blinked at him. “And what do you know about love, demon?”
You couldn’t help but assume that his version of love was wicked and cruel. You’ve seen him exploit the human condition more times than you could count.
“I won’t pretend I’m an expert at love but in my long life, I could say I know things about it that you would hardly believe.” Sebastian smiled to himself, amused at the irony of being called a demon when these feelings were the most human they'd ever been. He traced small circles on your waist while shifting his other hand to the crook of your neck, never breaking his gaze as he freed the knot that kept your scarf in place. The scarf was discarded onto the floor but neither of you cared to look. “I’ve seen it in all forms and colours. Love is beautiful, despairing, and everything in between. Love can ruin everything you’ve ever built. It can be your biggest weakness or your greatest weapon. But more importantly, I know what someone looks like when they’re in love.”
A brief silence followed as he allowed himself to take your hand once more and he could feel your grasp tighten so faintly when his lips hovered over your skin, “Pact or not, you have me wrapped around your little finger. But something is killing me. Would you like to guess what it is?”
It was unbecoming of him but he kissed the back of your hand, leaving the pact mark on your exposed skin glowing — ultimately betraying every feeling you tried to suppress. You swallowed thickly before playing it off with a laugh.
“No. Enlighten me instead.”
“As you wish.”
Sebastian hummed as he began swaying you into a much slower version of a waltz, holding you so close you touched at the hip. He lifted your chin, forcing your eyes to meet his, but he was almost left entranced by how ethereal you looked with his mark on you. It wasn’t the first time seeing it but it was the first time he allowed himself to imagine the many other ways he could imprint you.
“Well, my lady, you have no idea how maddening it is to serve you, to watch over you, to constantly want to touch you, to hold you, while knowing that I cannot. It is pure agony. You could call that love, could you not?”
You were barely able to continue speaking, the feelings you had also been hiding were threatening to bubble at the surface, “Well, I suppose you could.” While you rocked from side to side, he thumbed the skin around your jaw as if to ease whatever thought was wracking your brain.
Suddenly stepping away from you, Sebastian said, “Pardon my rudeness, but this is a reminder that my senses are far sharper than a human’s—” he then twirled you in three spins, and when you faced him for the final time, he caught you by the waist, “—so is it safe to assume you carry the same burden as I?”
This brought your waltz to a slow stop but the music continued to quietly play as if the ballroom became a whimsical world unto itself. As you got back on your feet, you rested your hands on his chest while your head hung low. It always frustrated you a great deal that he could read your soul like a book. All you could do was chuckle—earning a brow raise from the butler—but when you finally decided to look up at him, what remained of that chuckle was a rare and defeated smile.
“You caught me,” you confessed.
In truth, he was surprised. He didn’t think your answer would come so easily, even letting out a quiet laugh of his own. Not counting your sadistic grins while you and your kin carried orders at the behest of the Queen, this was the first time he had seen you smile so genuinely in his presence—he couldn’t help but marvel at you. He found himself captivated by it but soon realised that despite your smile, you were just as flustered.
“I knew it,” Sebastian failed to prevent himself from squeezing your waist. No matter how many centuries had passed, humans always felt so fragile to him. You opened your mouth in a silent gasp but he leaned towards you, his voice a low whisper in your ear, “Now, I must tell you something else. However, you may deem it inappropriate.”
A shiver went down your spine and even though you were aware you were alone, you quickly glanced around the room nonetheless, “As if this wasn’t already beyond inappropriate but be my guest.”
Sebastian carefully considered his next words but there was no way for him to conceal his desire any longer—he called your name but his voice was dripped with something you couldn’t put your finger on. “You’ve become so intoxicating, like sweet poison I willingly drink.”
Your eyes widened in surprise. All the words you had prepared died on your tongue immediately. Sebastian always prided himself on being a butler worth his salt, so in the years that you’ve been together, not once has he let formalities slip. You took a moment to think about the events that led you here and embarrassingly, the warmth you were already suffering with, deepened. He wasn’t addressing you as the Lady of the House nor as a butler. He was speaking to you as Sebastian Michaelis, a love-struck fiend.
His fingers brushed against your forehead gently, moving the hairs away from your eyes, studying you intently with a faint hint of wonder in his stare. He had always done his best to hide his attachment but you felt his arm around your waist growing more possessive,
“And seeing you smile—the sight of you is just mesmerising. It unravels me.”
You could feel the confusion and irritation and your mind melted down by his show of affection. “I wish the world would give me more to smile about,” you muttered in a heartbeat.
As if your body had a mind of its own, you caressed his cheek and it was cold in comparison to your skin.
“How damned am I to only smile in the presence of the wicked?” You continued.
He closed his eyes and leaned into your hand—a low, contented hum slipped past his lips. If he could drift into a dreamless dream like this, he would.
“Ah, but are you damned or destined?”
Under the cloak of night, you moved your hand against his lips, making his eyes flutter open in surprise.
What do you think, Sebastian?
Now, it was his turn to smile. Sebastian began placing trails of hot, forbidden kisses down your fingers; you tasted soft and warm, drawing him in like a secret only the two of you shared.
When he saw how all of the sharp edges and hard masks you used to hide behind were gone, he desired nothing more than to take you, hand in hand, towards a place with no promise of light. Despite it defying all conventions, Sebastian whispered with sincerity you had never heard from him before,
“A soul such as yours is so very tempting. Be it that you are doomed, I will enjoy burning with you to the fullest.”

Love Unvieled
A/N: I am behind and I am trying to get posts out. I apologize for the wait and please send me anything you want me to write
pairing: Sebastian x Reader
warnings: Primarily fluff, little angst
w/c: 1060
Prompt: Sebastian and Reader have begun dating. However, Sebastian wants to show the reader his secret.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N Phantomhive, sibling of the young Earl Ciel Phantomhive, lived a life unlike most within the walls of the grand Phantomhive Manor. Shadows danced around them, whispering secrets, and the winds carried echoes of the supernatural. Many rumors spread about the family, and there was more truth to them than one would like to admit. Among the enigmatic figures in the manor, none captivated Y/N as Sebastian Michaelis, the elegant and ever-dutiful butler.
From the moment they laid eyes on Sebastian, a subtle yet undeniable spark ignited between them. Their exchanges were laced with witty banter and fleeting glances that held promises of something more. It was a dangerous game, for Sebastian was no ordinary man. Deep down, Y/N sensed he held secrets darker than the night itself. Ciel had warned them against getting too close, but they knew Sebastian would never hurt them.
As days turned into nights and nights into days, the attraction between Y/N and Sebastian grew stronger. They found solace in stolen moments, glances, and the intoxicating allure of their forbidden connection. In the quiet corners of the manor, they would steal away, sharing kisses and whispered confessions. The boundaries of duty and social standing blurred as their hearts entwined.
One evening, as the manor's halls cloaked in silence, Y/N found themselves alone with Sebastian after he finished his evening duties. The air crackled with tension, their hearts beating in harmony as they confessed their hidden desires. It was a moment of vulnerability, truth hanging heavy in the air, waiting to be revealed. Their flirting had turned into a relationship. They had many nights talking and engaging in other activities, forming a bond, but something was wrong.
Sebastian, unable to bear the weight of his deception any longer, took a deep breath and made a confession that would change everything, including their relationship. He revealed his true nature, unveiling himself as a demon—an entity far removed from the realm of mortals. The revelation hung heavy in the air, heavy with uncertainty.
Y/N's eyes widened with disbelief, unable to comprehend the magnitude of the truth laid before them. "A demon?" they whispered, their voice trembling. "But... that's impossible…"
Sebastian's crimson eyes held a mix of anticipation and fear. He had braced himself for their reaction, knowing it could either solidify their bond or shatter it entirely. "I understand if this is too much for you to accept," he said softly. "But I wanted to share my true self with you, to be honest in a way I have never been before with you."
Y/N's mind raced as they tried to process the enormity of the revelation. Images of supernatural creatures, dark magic, and the unknown flooded their thoughts, but… It explains a lot. Amidst the chaos, there was something else—a deep-rooted trust and affection for the demon butler who had shown them love and devotion beyond measure. They knew what he said was true.
With a mixture of uncertainty and determination, Y/N reached out, their hand trembling slightly. "Sebastian... I may not fully understand the intricacies of your existence, but one thing I do know is that I love you. Your true form doesn't change that, and I wish to see you as you truly are."
Sebastian's eyes widened in surprise, his heart leaping at their words. For so long, he had hidden his true self, fearing rejection and repulsion. But here stood Y/N, not only accepting him but embracing him and sharing words he had longed to hear. A wave of relief washed over him, and a soft smile tugged at his lips.
Encouraged by their reassurance, Sebastian mustered the courage to reveal his true form—a sight that very few had witnessed and lived to tell the tale. In a swirl of darkness, his elegant butler's facade dissolved, giving way to the visage of a demon. His hair turned long and obsidian, black wings sprouting from his back, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldly light. Horns sprouted from his forehead, adding an air of ethereal danger to his presence.
Y/N gasped, their breath catching in their throat as they beheld the sight before them. The initial shock was undeniable, for demons were creatures of nightmares and legends. But soon, their fear transformed into awe. They looked upon Sebastian's true form with a newfound appreciation, captivated by the raw power and beauty that emanated from him.
"You... You're astonishing," Y/N murmured, their voice filled with wonder. "Sebastian, you are more breathtaking than I could have ever imagined."
Sebastian's heart swelled with a mixture of relief and adoration. He had bared his soul, his deepest secret, and instead of rejection, he found acceptance and love. Their words washed away his doubts and insecurities, leaving only the certainty that they were meant to be together.
With a surge of emotions, Y/N stepped forward, their hand reaching out to touch Sebastian's transformed face gently. The ridges of his demon horns felt cool against their fingertips, and a shiver of excitement raced down their spine. "You've shown me a world beyond my wildest dreams, Sebastian. I want to be a part of it, to stand by your side. No matter the challenges we face, we'll face them together."
Sebastian's eyes glittered with tears of joy, a rare vulnerability shining through his stoic facade. He grasped Y/N's hand, intertwining their fingers and pulling them close. "Y/N, my love, you have given me a gift more precious than anything I could ever ask for. Together, we shall conquer the darkness and create our own paradise."
And so, in the depths of the Phantomhive Manor, two souls forged an unbreakable bond—a love that transcended the boundaries of mortal understanding. As the moon cast its gentle glow upon them, Y/N and Sebastian stood united, ready to face the trials that awaited them, hand in hand. In each other, they had found solace, passion, and an eternal love that would defy the ages. Their journey was just beginning, and together, they would navigate the uncharted waters of their intertwined destinies, drawing strength from the love that bound them.

The Secret Affair || Ciel Phantomhive
Synopsis - Ciel had thrown, yet again, another extravagant ball. He approached you, silently asking for your hand to dance. When nobody was looking, he took you upstairs to his study where the two of you engaged in a heavy make out session only to be interrupted by Sebastian.
Warnings - Slightly suggestive.
Notes - All characters are 18+!
Word Count - 0.7k
[Caffeinate Me]
Ciel was known for throwing the most extravagant of parties, so to say tonight’s ball was anything but lavish was an understatement. You had spent the night socialising with the other guests and drinking the night away, occasionally catching the eye of Earl Ciel Phantomhive who sat in the corner away from the festivities with his butler Sebastian. After a while, Ciel got fed up with watching you mingling with his guests. The Earl stood up and made his way over, offering you his hand without saying a word. You placed your glass of champagne down on the large table next to you and reluctantly took his hand. Immediately, Ciel wrapped his arms firmly around your waist and pulled you on to the makeshift dance floor, spinning you around slowly as he gazed into your eyes. Everything seemingly went in slow motion as the two of you twirled around the dance floor, speaking to each other only through your eyes.
After what felt like hours of dancing, Ciel had dropped his hands from your waist and gently took your hand once more. He pulled you away from the ball and up the winding staircase that was out of bounds to all guests, making sure nobody saw you or followed you. When you were deep down the hall and Ciel was happy that nobody had followed you, he pushed you flat against the wall and pressed his lips to yours feverishly. “I have been wanting to do this all night,” he finally whispered against your lips. Those were the first words he had said to you all night. You nodded into the kiss telling Ciel that you felt the same and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling his body close to yours. Without breaking the kiss Ciel pulled you into the nearest room and locked the door behind you. It was then that he allowed his hand to run up and down your side lovingly. When Ciel pulled away he looked at you, panting and out of breath from kissing you so much. He wiped a string of saliva from his lips and smirked at you. “Are you okay, Y/N?” He asked, his singular eye searching yours.
You simply nodded and began to kiss him once more, not wanting to continue talking. Ciel seemed okay with this, his lips moving in tandem with yours. You gripped the front of his shirt and pulled him as close to you as physically possible, sighing into his lips. Ciel was about to play with the straps of your dress when a bang on the study door caused the two of you to break apart. “Master, I do believe your guests are missing your presence,” it was Sebastian.
Ciel rolled his eye and looked at you apologetically before shouting back, “I’ll be out in a minute. I’m just… preoccupied with something…” He trailed off, his lips swallowing yours again hoping that his answer was enough for Sebastian to leave the two of you alone.
“Master, I must insist that you come out now,” Sebastian said sternly from behind the door. “I can make sure Lady Y/N is returned to the ball without being seen.” Ciel froze at his butler’s words and his eye widened. He pulled away from the kiss and called back.
“She’s not here!”
“Oh?” Sebastian chuckled. “Then who are you in there with?”
“Nobody!” Ciel growled. “I just needed some time away from the festivities, Sebastian. Go away, that is an order.”
“Very well,” Sebastian sighed. “But, please return to the ball as soon as possible. Your guests are getting quite antsy.” And with that, the butler turned on his heels and walked back to the ball.
Ciel sighed softly when he heard Sebastian’s footsteps fade away and he instantly tried to kiss you again. You pulled your head away and gazed into his eye, a frown on your face. “You should get back to your ball,” you whispered.
“But I’m not finished with you-” Ciel started, but you cut him off by placing a quick peck to his lips.
“We will meet again, Ciel,” you smiled reassuringly.
He groaned frustratedly knowing that you were right and stomped his foot lightly on the ground petulantly. “Fine.” You smiled and kissed him again, this time much softer than your previous heated kisses of the night. When you pulled away, he grabbed your hand and placed your knuckles to his lips softly, muttering, “one day, I promise you, we won’t have to sneak around anymore.” You nodded at his words, your heart fluttering in your chest. You believed him, you really did, but you didn’t see that day coming anytime soon. For now, you both just had to be happy with your secret affair.

One hell of a clumsy Master.
Prompt : Sebastian x reader
Sebastian and reader are bonded by the contract and in a relationship that started a little while ago. Has the day pass during their sweet romance, Sebastian discover more and more that his darling love is quite clumsy.
It wasn't the first time that you injured yourself because of how clumsy and unlucky you were. Actually it happens more time that you could recall. Luckily however, you had Sebastian to look out for you and make sure that you wouldn't hurt yourself by your own accord. Nonetheless, sometimes in rares occasion when your sweet demon lover was busy and away in missions, it happenes without you being able to prevent it. You always fret these moments and hoped it would go swiftly but it often doesnt.
Unfortunately for you, today was one of these very rare instance. This morning you had requested that Sebastian fetch you some information about a certain man that the queen seemed interested in. Then, per your request he had left and you were without surveillance in the mannor. At first you were sure that everything would go well since he wasn't suppose to leave for very long and that you wouldn't leave the mannor until then. But...well, that was until you tripped on your own shoe laces, on top of a quite large staircase and fell...Like it wasn't enough, you actually fell down face first and as you tried to shield your head before the landing, you heard a quite distinct crac and yelled in pain. You cried out and tried to breath as you felt your body hurting from everywhere. The landing has been quite brutal and you bumped on a couple of stairs while getting down. You hit your head enough to feel dizzy even though you shielded it first and focusing on staying lucid and awake was harder that you realised.
A curse left your lips as you breath in a raging manner. God you couldn't believe that it actually happened...well yes you could but you hated how clumsy you were. Why did you send Sebastian away this morning! If he had stayed by your side none of this would have happened. Thinking about your lover made a tears fall down your eyes and you groan in pure pain as you tried to move your right leg...why was it hurting that much.
You barely could move it and your eyes were closing by themselves as you mumbled your demon name over and over in a type of plea. God you wanted him by your side and needed him. Your brain was so fussy and you could barely think straigh, the fall and the hit on your head maybe was harder than you tough. Yet, as you cried and sniffed, your eyes fell on your wrist where you had the contract mark. You whimpered a little and spoke with a weak and desperate voice while it started to shine.
Sebby...come to me, please.
You barely finished your words that you head started spinning hard and you fell unconcious on the bottom of the stairs.
(Five hours hour later.)
You groaned as you slowly opened your eyes and realised it was quite dark in the room. You tried to look a little around but your head hurt as you move your neck too fast after regaining consciousness. A yelp left your lips and the name or the man you wanted so bad to see came out of your lips in a pleading manner.
Before you knew it, you felt soft hand against you cheeks and heard a soft and gentle voice that you literally whimpered when hearing. It was Sebastian and he was beside you, looking so terrified and worried that you felt terrible. Without you even having to ask for it, the dark hair demon that you loved so terribly sat beside you on the bed and kissed your lips. The hot and recomforting gesture made you sigh a bit and forget how baddly you felt right now. You couldn't tell what injury you had, you were to scared to move but by the look Sebastian gave you it was bad.
Sebastian...it hurt so bad.
You told him with a voice that sounded so wounded and weak that it seemed like one of a child.
You couldn't look away from his eyes and your hands that seemed fine surprisingly reached to take his face. When you did, the butler wispered your name and kissed the inside of your wrist.
I know it does my darling...I'm so sorry. I should have been here with you at the mannor it's my fault. Because of me you have a twisted ankle that look quite bad and you got a pretty severe head concussion. The doctor said you were lucky to have only that but...look at you, what am I going to do with you my love. When I heard you call for me earlier, you sounded so broken and desperate that my heart stopped. I nearly lost my mind while getting back to the mannor and when I found you...laying down on the bottom of those stairs unmoving and covered in bruses...I tough I'd lost you. I don't think i have ever been that scare in my life.
Sebastian finished his words and you felt broken. He looked so sad and worried, it was killing you. In an attempt to reassure him and show him you were here and fine...well has much that possible after falling down 50 stairs, you gently kissed his cheeks and then his lips. It was a soft and gentle kiss but full of love and affection. Your hand that were still framing his handsome face gently moved to his hair and started playing with them before you finally spoke up.
Sebastian it isn't your fault at all...I'm the one that fell and the one that sent you away from me. It's all on me. Yes I do admit that I regretted my decision the second that I tripped and fell but you couldn't have known I was in danger my love. I am fine now, I'm staying in your arms for the night because I don't even want to think about being alone again. Well at least not until I am compleatly recovered. So...would you sleep with me tonight I need you to stay close to me and I want my lover...
After you spoke, Sebastian's eyes shined with a bit of glossiness and it surprised you to see at first. It was really rare that he showed emotion but you couldn't help feeling lucky to be one to see it.
Without waisting a single second, as you ordered Sebastian undid his coat before placing it on the chair beside your master bed. After that, he kissed your forehead and gently slid under the blankets to lay beside you. His arms making sure not to touch or hurt a spot that was in mending, circled carefully around your waist and his head layed on your shoulder. A soft satisfied growl left his form when finally close and securly laying by your side and he layed kisses on your neck to reassure you like he could.
Darling...I won't ever leave you out of my sight again. Not only while you heal but ever. I can't allow something like this to happen an other time. I won't allow it, i will make sure of it. Your body won't ever be In this state again.
Sebastian's confession and desire to protect you at all cost made butterfly's flutter in your belly. He was so protective and you couldn't help a smile to shine on your lips when you closed your eyes and fell asleep in his arms.
Good then, I would have expected nothing less from you. After all you are simply one hell of a lover.

Is that pedophilia ?
I have a question : My best friend used to have a crush on Alois Trancy from Black Butler, like he was always her favorite in her top husbandos list, and now that we had grow up it didn't really change. I don't think this is pedophilia , she never said anything like sexual desires towards him, now she simply imagine him the same age as her, and i want to have your opinion about that.
I know that she isn't in love with him because he is a child, but she just adores him because of who he is, so what do you think?

So This is How it All Ends….
They finally made it to the end of the bridge. The moment of where the demon must take the soul of his child has arrived. But… was it all worth it?
Based on an artpiece by @moneyisthebestlawyerinh3ll :(
———
Darkness.
That’s all Ciel can see. Nothing but the pitch black surrounding him, accompanied by the soft, ghostly sounds of swishing water. He feels light rocking back and forth and wood underneath his body - all of this means he’s currently in a rowboat.
He wakes up, one eye opens to see a sea of fog and mist, and in the middle of an ocean it appears. Still feeling a bit woozy, he looks around with nothing interesting to focus on… but there is one other figure on the boat with him. A tall man dressed in black, jet black hair and red eyes that are all too familiar to the young boy, rowing the boat with ease as he stares and smiles down at him.
Of course, only his butler Sebastian Michaelis would be doing such a thing; who else?
“Master, I see you have awoken.” He softly acknowledges.
He seems very calm for whatever reason, for which got Ciel to sit up and look around the sea some more.
“Where is this? Where are we?” Ciel asks, composedly.
“You wish to know?”
“Why else did I ask?”
Ciel pauses. He doesn’t care to know anymore, for some unknown thought is telling him that it doesn’t matter now… and he listens.
He glances around the water surrounding their transport, but there’s something peculiar about it - as if it’s something very familiar within. Over in the distance, he can see the day of when he was a small child being lifted up by Sebastian, back when he called him his father, and closer to him is the day when he witnessed his Aunt Red’s death not too long ago. Many more images displayed the events throughout his past 13 years; now they float on through the fog disappearing as they appeared.
Sebastian explains they are part of his cinematic record, apparently it came along to greet Ciel in what will be his final moments. His child goes on to say in such a relaxed, unbothered tone:
“I see. This is my life, this is how I lived. But… I’m dead now.”
Sebastian can’t bare to show his sadness on his face nor in his voice; so he replies as calmly as possible.
“No, not yet. Your death will come to claim you soon enough, Master. And I shall be here until the end.”
If only he could be more satisfied than he should be. To think not too long ago (for his ageing that is) Sebastian was just like any other demon whom would carelessly devour any human soul that he acquires, all to fulfil his undying hunger. But this one tiny human boy was enough to change him. Throughout these 13 years he did nothing but show compassion, teach and took good care of Ciel’s health more than any human he’s ever met. He feels proud to have earned the title of ‘Papa’ and to call the young boy his own child.
Even if Ciel eventually learned the truth, and grew to hate him for lying all those years and formed a contract, he’s still very dear to the demon whom raised him. Sebastian remains sad however; especially when looking directly at the emptiness within his child’s eyes. To think his little bluebird no longer cares that his life’s about to end too soon, no feelings for what his life could be once he grows up, nor for the servants and friends he’s leaving behind, and even worse… the young Lady Elizabeth who loves him deeply and now she’ll be left alone with her grief on wondering why he left her.
At this moment, a distant sounds calls for Sebastian. He turns his head to face the water and there’s something that gets him to gasp quietly. One part of the record plays the night where he saved the little infant Ciel from the raging housefire, the night when he saw that innocent face for the first time, those teal sapphires stared up at him as his tears went away, it brought a genuine smile to the demon.
Such a minor memory which Ciel doesn’t even remember but means so much more to Sebastian. He stares at the scene before it can float away and disappear into the fog forever - leaving but a miserable frown upon his face which Ciel notices.
“What are you looking at?” He asks annoyingly.
Sebastian’s goes back to focus on the depressed shell that his little one had grown into. He cannot bring himself to tell him, he will not like it. For it is part of their contract for Sebastian to never be referred as his father again; and it shall remain that way. Besides, one duty of being a parent is to put your child’s wants and needs over your own as he learned. So he simply answers with a fake smile:
“Nothing.”
-
They finally made it, to an unknown island far away from any shore, with no trace of any other human in sight. This place is destined to be Ciel Phantomhive’s resting place.
The boat is left by the sand, the demon walks along into the forest, carrying his child in his arms as Ciel claimed to be too tired to walk himself. Sebastian recalls always carrying him like this before, but of course, it’s the way he always did ever since he was a baby. He’d held him close to his chest, Ciel’s head rested on his father’s shoulder and Sebastian would rub soothing circles on his back until he fell asleep. A fitting callback for Ciel will be put to sleep one final time.
They come across an old stone bench in the middle of some ruins; this seems like the perfect spot for their trail to end. Sebastian whispers next to his child’s ear, wanting to keep the situation tranquil.
“We’re here, Master.”
Nothing is said while Sebastian (reluctant to do so at first) gently lays his child down on the stone, only after there’s a relatively good distance between the two did he speak.
“So this is how it all ends….”
Ciel takes one last look around before facing back towards Sebastian, his face directly saying to the demon that he’s accepted his fate, but has Sebastian?
No, of course not. He’s grown to love his boy, to the point where he doesn’t consider this to be right anymore. But he can’t go against orders of the contract either, it’s in his nature, and there’s no turning back the clock anymore. What has been done is now done and here they are. Once again his thought process is broken by one question Ciel had left about the so-called payment.
“So will it hurt?” There’s slight worry in this tone, and Sebastian knows it.
“It will a bit, I’m sorry.” Sebastian speaks in a fatherly way in hopes to calm him. “I will make sure to be gentle-”
“No.” Ciel interrupts once more. “Be as brutal as you want. Push the pain into me, it’s proof I had a life worth living.”
He doesn’t say anything. Only surprise plasters on his face. What else can he say at this point? Other than to give in to his child’s final request. So he smiles… and bows.
“Indeed, my lord.”
Everything is now sealed. With that one last sentence, Ciel is at ease.
Sebastian gets back up, stands in front of his child, removes the eyepatch which covered the seal, and glances once more at Ciel’s other eye. He feels sad, but cannot show it. He feels unwilling, but cannot show it. He feels the need to take Ciel back to their home, to tuck him into bed after such a tiring night, but cannot do so.
Ciel will not appreciate the tardiness, nor the sentiments of their past father-and-son bond, so Sebastian pushes it all to the back of his mind… and let those hideous instincts take over.
Red glowing eyes, pointed front teeth, and the darkened breath of the demonic man he once called family… that’s the last image Ciel ever does see.
Just as he thought… a monster.
…
…
Silence.
That’s all Sebastian can hear. Nothing but the cold air surrounding him, accompanied by the bitter flavour stuck inside his mouth.
The demon opens his eyes only to see the literal empty shell lying on the stone. The body of what was once a cheerful yet shy little boy is now drooping its head to the side like an inanimate puppet, its eyes are fully closed and he knows they’ll never open up again.
What does he do now? He cannot make himself move from this spot, he just continues to stare at the lifeless body in front of him. He feels his eyes widen, his hands and arms trembling, and his breath shaking as he breathes. Those hands reach out again to feel the coldness on the boy’s cheeks; colder than artic ice it felt. Rather quick for a living being that just lost his soul.
Sebastian didn’t know what to think as many different thoughts rampage through his mind. Only now does he give in that he could’ve done something to prevent this:
Telling him ‘This is wrong. You still have a life worth living, my son.’, bringing him back to the manor even if he kicked and screamed, anything!
But it’s all over now. The boy he called his family is gone. His stomach may be full, but his life is again empty.
Sebastian sits down on the stone and picks up the body, cradling it in his arms just like the old days, he holds it close tightly just to keep his child’s soul connected to his body in some way. All of the emotions he kept bottled up for the last hour have come loose: sadness, worry and regret.
He’ll never see that little smile or hear that little laugh or even the scowl of annoyance ever again; and it was all because of him.
One last thought ran through his head during all the grief and it’s the one last thing he can do for him now. One final lullaby as he rocks the corpse back and forth.
…Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques. Dormez-vous? *hic* Dormez-vous? Sonnez - matines… sonnez les *hic* matines. Ding… dang… dong. Ding… dang….. dong.

Happy Nightmares
A/N: I apologize for the delay! I am fulfilling requests right now and I thank you for your patience! pairing: Sebastian Michaelis x Reader warnings: Fluff, drepression, social anxiety, blood, violence w/c: 2494 Request: @imtrying26 Hi! I was wondering if you could do a Sebastian Michaelis x reader who he met in a mission with ciel and became a maid. I wanted to have Sebastian take care of the reader who is depressed and has social anxiety, just a lot of fluff in general, long hugs, and soft kisses. I also think it would really cute if Sebastian has a bit of separation anxiety and would carry the reader around the manor(~ ̄³ ̄)~. Also height difference cuz I think it's cute and because I'm like 4'9(148cm)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first time you had met him, he had been an angel. It was ironic knowing what you know now. He made you feel safe and happy in his company, emitting a calming aura that comforted you. You never thought an actual demon could make you feel this way. You noticed how he looked out for you, ensuring everyone knew not to get in your way. He would protect you from harm at all costs, even if it meant putting himself in danger. It warmed your heart to know someone so devoted to you.
You first met Sebastian and Ciel on a mission to take down the person at the root of a series of serial murders. The root cause was a corrupted angel that had gone rogue. However, you were also tracking this angel, trying to find the source of the murders after your father was a victim. You knew your father's business was not always legitimate, but you never knew the extent of the people he worked with. You were investigating a lead and needed a place to stay while you looked into this case, so you decided to stay at a hotel in town. Meanwhile, the angel was realizing your movements.
You had a deep gash on your thigh, your cheek was cut, and your arm was broken, with your clothes ripped beyond repair. You looked horrible, with bruises and cuts on your arms and legs. Your body felt heavy as you embraced the feeling of the hotel floor. The angel above you stared with a devious smile and said, "Well, well, well, look whom we've found. You have done fine work tracking me down." You didn't respond; you couldn't respond, your lips were numb, and your head was dizzy with pain. You didn't want to give them the satisfaction of an answer either. They seemed to be enjoying the moment though. "But you see, dear (Y/n), you have committed a great sin. Just like your father. How could I permit you to live?" His smile grew wide and sinister as he took out a knife. You whimpered silently. Your fear only fueled their amusement.
That's when he appeared. "Please, it is very unseemly to hurt a lady." You looked up and saw him, tall and strong. You were shocked to see him there, but you were even more surprised by how gentle his tone was. The man stood to your right in a full butler uniform. Behind him was another man, shorter and dressed in a much more elegant fashion, similar to that of a lord. "Sebastian, I take it this is the angel we discussed," said the shorter man who appeared to be a boy. "Yes, My Lord," the tall man responded and then turned his attention to you.
"I'm sorry about the inconvenience, but your injuries are quite severe. We should tend to them quickly before they become too dangerous or worse." He looked into your eyes, "It will be all right, my lady." He smiled gently at you. Your eyes widened as you felt yourself begin to fade.
-- You awoke to see the tall man sitting next to you on your bed, his face primarily expressionless with a hint of worry. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his eyes slightly glistening in concern. You nodded, still feeling weak. "I'm fine. Are you okay?" you asked. "I'm fine, my dear. My name is Sebastian, the butler of the Phantomhive Manor." You nodded again and shifted slightly in the bed. "Where are we?" you finally asked. Sebastian looked up at the ceiling "We are currently located in the manor, My Lady. My master and I brought you here after the fight with the angel. You nodded and tried to sit up. Sebastian stopped you. "Allow me, please, My Lady." He offered his hand to help pull you upright. Once you were seated comfortably, he continued. "I apologize that we did not come sooner, but it looks like your injuries are doing much better." You smiled softly, "Thank you. What happened?" you questioned. "My master and I ensured the angel will not be harming anyone anytime soon," he responded. Your face fell. "I'm so sorry, you shouldn't have had to rescue me," you whispered. Sebastian reached forward and squeezed your shoulder softly. You smiled softly at him. Sebastian then let go and stood up. "We are glad that you were able to survive, but because we saved your life, that means you owe us a debt. My master would like to enlist you as a new maid. You froze. This was not part of your plans. He seemed to notice how shocked you were. "Please, consider it. My master would like to start your training immediately."
It was now seven months since you accepted the offer of becoming a Phantomhive maid. Sebastian and Ciel were kind enough to allow you to remain in their manor without supervision. Also, your knowledge about the existence of angels allowed them to be honest right away about Sebastian being a demon and Ciel's contract. Your time there hadn't been without adjustment, and you were still reeling from the events before your current position. You were having nightmares every night, but you managed to make it appear like you had things under control. Some days were harder than others, but you felt as if things were getting better. Even if some nights you dreamed about your father or about the day your father died, you never told anyone about any of it. It didn't seem worth the trouble. So you kept your mouth shut and hid it away as best as you could.
Yesterday, however, your dreams changed. They weren't about your father anymore. Instead, they were about Sebastian. But why? Why were you dreaming of Sebastian? In your dreams, the death of your father began to become replaced with Sebastian dying in your arms. You were crying. Screaming. Crying out his name over and over until you woke with a start in the dark room. You had cried yourself hoarse last night, unable to sleep due to your nightmares. You had tossed and turned in your bed, thinking about Sebastian, and the dream had plagued you. Your screams must have caught someone's attention because there was a knock at your door. "What is it? Is everything all right?" came Sebastian's voice. You cleared your throat and replied with a shaky voice, "I'm fine." Sebastian opened your door and slipped inside, closing it behind him. You sat up in bed. "Can I come closer?" You blinked in surprise but moved to the side of your bed. He came to sit beside you and gently laid a hand on yours. "Do you wish to talk about it?" he asked softly. You shook your head no and looked into his eyes. "I can tell that something isn't all right." You sighed and nodded, "I'm afraid that my nightmares might have started to follow me." He shook his head at you, his face stern. "It is more than that. You aren't talking with others like you used to. You aren't eating as much, getting little sleep, you constantly seem plagued by thoughts…" His voice trailed off, searching for the words to describe what you were going through. Your eyes grew tearful, remembering the nightmare you had just moments ago. He must have seen it. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Sebastian." He frowned. "No, My Lady, please forgive me. I should have realized something was wrong with you." He sighed softly. He pulled you close and wrapped his arm around your waist, resting his head on yours. You leaned against him and closed your eyes. Sebastian held you tightly as you cried silently. He didn't ask questions as you cried; instead, he just soothingly stroked your hair and let you release your tears. When you eventually calmed yourself, you removed yourself from his grasp and wiped your face and nose. "I am sorry you had to see such a pitiful display." He smiled sadly at you. "Don't apologize. You were in terrible pain and needed the release. Besides, I have learned that it is important for humans to share their suffering. It helps to heal oneself as well."
"If I may ask, what was your dream about?" You shrugged your shoulders. "It doesn't matter. I don't want to burden you with my problems. Please, don't fake your affection for me. I know you simply see me as a maid." He sighed and got out of bed. He walked towards the door, leaving you to your sleep. "It wasn't a burden. This demon cares more than you know."
-- Your dreams and thoughts had gotten worse. You were struggling to keep yours. You were trying to pretend you weren't hurting so badly, yet Sebastian noticed. You knew that he knew something was wrong, and he had decided to be there for you. You appreciated his efforts, but you wished he wouldn't put himself through all this. Still, he did it anyway, and you loved him for that, not that he felt the same. He was a demon, after all. This all came to a head on the night of a ball. You were never big on crowds, to begin with, and suffered from social anxiety. However, you knew your master needed this for a case, so there wasn't much you could do about it. Unfortunately, that evening was one of the most stressful nights of your life. Everyone from the Phantomhive manor was so busy with their duties that you were left alone most of the time within the sea of people. You often watched them dance and interact with each other while wishing you could disappear. The worst part was how the young men stared at you and spoke to you like they always did. They flirted with you. Sometimes you would feel like throwing something at them.
While making your way through the crowd, the air in your lungs slowly started to dissipate, and your heart began racing. Your breaths became shallow, and your body shivered uncontrollably. Something wasn't right. Your mind was telling you that something was very wrong, but you couldn't make out what it was. A voice sounded in your ear, and you turned your head to look at whomever it was. There stood the tall gentleman. "Hello, My Lady." Your eyes widened. "Sebastian." You said hesitantly. He stepped closer to you and placed a hand on your back. "May I escort you somewhere so you can take time to unwind?" he asked you. You looked down. "Yes, thank you," You answered, not even attempting to mask the emotion in your voice. His smile dropped as he led you to an empty hallway. "What is going on, My Lady?" he asked you. "I don't know," you lied. You glanced nervously at him as tears sprung to your eyes, and the shaking in your body got worse. You could barely breathe. Your vision was blurry, and you could barely hear him speaking to you.
You collapsed to the ground, clutching your chest as you hyperventilated. You felt hands on you, and suddenly Sebastian was sitting next to you. "My Lady, please calm down. Just try to breathe for me. Can you do that?" His face was filled with worry, and you could feel hot tears dripping from your eyes. You gasped for air, feeling a tightness in your chest. "Breathe, My Lady. I believe you are getting worked up again. Breathe." You took a deep breath and felt yourself relaxing slightly but remained curled up on the floor. "Now, follow my instructions." He asked quietly. You closed your eyes and tried your hardest to focus. "Breathe in, hold for three seconds, hold for seven seconds and exhale slowly." You felt Sebastian's hand rubbing your back gently, and you finally opened your eyes. Tears continued to escape your eyes, and he wiped them away. "Thank you," you whispered. He smiled softly at you and helped you stand up. "Let's go find some tea and a blanket." You nodded and followed him through the corridors. Eventually, you reached the library, where the two of you spent many late evenings reading. You were both quiet as you settled on the couch near the fire and began pouring yourselves cups of tea.
"You gave me quite a scare," Sebastian said after a moment of silence. You looked up at him, confused. He seemed rather serious. He looked worried now too. "You think that I don't hear you? Yelling my name in the night in the fear of your nightmares? I fear for you," he stated. You hesitated slightly, knowing full well what he meant. "Please, don't think I don't love you. Demons love but rarely. You may not love me, but I love you and I want to help you. To understand." He grabbed your hand. "Tell me everything that happened. Let me help you."
So you told him everything. From your dream to everything you had ever experienced. He listened carefully, taking in every word you spoke. When you finished, he took your hands into his. "My Lady, you are truly beautiful. I've known that for some time now. But you are also strong, smart, and kind, and I will protect you whenever you need it. And, I will never leave your side when I can help it. I promise." He kissed your knuckles softly, and you melted, leaning forward and kissing him sweetly. "I believe you," you whispered. He kissed you softly, pulling away and smiling. "I love you, My Lady. More than anything. You deserve nothing less." Your eyes went wide, a blush rising onto your cheeks. You looked away shyly before returning your gaze to his. "I love you too, Sebastian."
--
Sebastian kept a careful watch on you, sometimes even carrying you around the manor, ensuring your happiness and the sounds of your giggles running through the halls. It didn't take long for everyone to know you two were together, although they were happy for you. It was almost as though they knew you two had been together already since the first meeting. After all, Baldroy had said that you would have made a lovely couple, and it was funny because it towered over you Sebastian thought that maybe it was his imagination or something, but when you were around, he could hardly get enough of you. You were different from all the other women he'd met. You weren't like anyone else. You were special. Especially since you were one hell of a maid.

The Secret Affair Part Three || Ciel Phantomhive
Synopsis - You find out you're pregnant with Ciel's baby.
Warnings - SFW.
Notes - Characters are 18+!
Word Count - 2.2k.
[Caffeinate Me]
It had been a few months since word got out about yours and Cie’s engagement. You moved into the Phantomhive Manor shortly after his proposal and quickly became a part of the Phantomhive family.
You woke up in the early hours of the morning feeling unwell. You felt sick to your stomach, something that wasn’t unusual for you. You trudged your way down to the kitchen and grabbed yourself a glass of water, chugging it in the hopes that it would help ease your queasiness. You sleepily walked back to bed and slipped in besides Ciel who quickly wrapped his arms around you in his sleep, pulling you close to his body. You let out a soft, content sigh and closed your eyes slowly drifting back off to sleep. When you woke up in the morning, Ciel was gone. His bed clothes were neatly folded on his side of the bed. You sat up and rubbed your eyes, looking at the clock on your bedside table. It was almost 9am. Your eyes widened and you shot up, grabbing a dress out of your wardrobe and dressing yourself quickly. You made your way to Ciel’s study to see him sitting there looking concerned.
“Ciel?” You asked, tapping on the doorframe to gain his attention. “Are you okay?”
Ciel looked up at you, a smile playing on his lips as soon as his eye fell on your form. “Y/N! You’re awake!” He exclaimed.
“Why didn’t you wake me this morning?” You asked, walking further into the room.
“Sebastian said you woke up not feeling well. I wanted to let you rest,” Ciel replied, standing up from his seat and making his way over to you. He wrapped his arms around your waist and placed a soft kiss on your lips. “Are you feeling any better?”
You shook your head. “Not really, no.”
“Oh sweetheart,” he mumbled, brushing some hair out of your face. “What’s wrong?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know. I just feel really sick.”
Ciel placed the back of his hand on your forehead and frowned. “You don’t feel warm. Was it something you ate?”
You shook your head. “Surely if it was something I ate, you’d feel the same?” You questioned. Ciel nodded in understanding.
“I suppose.” He pressed another kiss on your lips. “I have to get back to work, but you’re more than welcome to stay if you’d like.”
You shook your head again. “I’ll leave you to it, Ciel. I’m going to get some breakfast, maybe help Mey-Rin with some chores.”
Ciel raised an eyebrow. “Is that really a good idea while you’re not feeling well?”
“It’ll take my mind off of it,” you whispered. You kissed him and said goodbye before exiting the study and heading down to the kitchen.
As you arrived at the kitchen, Sebastian was already preparing your breakfast. “Ah, Lady Y/N,” he chimed when he saw you standing in the hallway. “How are you feeling this morning, my lady?”
“Not great Sebastian,” you replied with a small smile. Sebastian’s eyes seemingly shone at your words, a mischievous glint was held in them.
“Well that’s no good,” he said suddenly as he began to plate up your breakfast. He walked into the dining room with your plate and you followed, sitting down where he had placed it. “Hopefully some food will help you to feel a little bit better.”
“I hope so!” You replied, immediately taking a bite out of the piping hot eggs on your plate. Sebastian never usually gave you this much food, but this morning you welcomed the loaded plate. You were starving.
“I must continue with my duties, but if you need anything don’t hesitate to find me,” Sebastian said before bowing and leaving you to eat your breakfast. You watched him leave the dining room as you chewed your food quickly, swallowing it almost immediately. You finished your breakfast within record time and took the plate into the kitchen to be washed. Bard was sitting on the counter tops, smoking a cigarette. When he saw you, he hopped down immediately with a sheepish smile on his face.
“Lady Y/N,” he said, taking a drag of his cigarette. “Good morning.”
“Good morning Bard,” you smiled, placing your plate into the sink. “How are you this morning?”
“I’m good,” he responded with a nod. He hesitated for a moment before saying, “I heard from Sebastian that you’re not feeling well. You should be in bed, resting up! You have a wedding to plan.”
“You know me Bard,” you chuckled. “I never rest easily.”
Bard laughed at your comment as he took another drag of his cigarette. “Well, I know Mey-Rin is upstairs if you’d like to go and see her.”
“Actually she’s just the lady I wanted to see,” you smirked. “Thanks Bard.”
“Not a problem my lady,” he said with a bow.
You smiled and left the kitchen, making your way up the stairs to find Mey-Rin. You checked all the rooms in the manor and found her in the last spare bedroom. She was making the bed as you walked in. “Hi Mey-Rin,” you smiled.
She jumped and turned around to see you, a goofy smile on her face. “You scared me, my lady! Yes you did!”
“I’m sorry!” You chuckled, watching as she placed her hand over her heart.
“It’s okay my lady, yes it is. Is there anything you need?” She asked as she placed the duvet on the bed.
You shook your head. “I just came to see if you needed any help.”
“That’s greatly appreciated my lady, yes it is,” Mey-Rin started. “But I’m all finished in this room.”
“Do you need help with anything else?” You asked as you tilted your head to the side.
Mey-Rin shook her head and sat down in a chair that was located in the corner of the room. “The only thing I have left to properly clean is Lord Phantomhive’s study.”
“I’ll help you!” You said immediately.
“No no! You should be resting my lady, yes you should!” Mey-Rin cried out.
You looked confused at her sudden concerned outburst, but thought nothing of it. “Don’t be silly Mey-Rin,” you smiled. “I’ve helped you clean Ciel’s study before.”
“Yes but this time it’s different,” she replied. As soon as the words left her lips, she threw her hands over her mouth.
“Why is it different?” You asked with scrunched eyebrows.
Mey-Rin sighed in defeat. “Sebastian told me you were pregnant, yes he did.”
“Pregnant?” You asked, eyebrows knitting together in confusion. You stumbled back lightly, shocked by her words. Your back hit the dresser that was pushed against the wall. “Pregnant?” You asked again.
Mey-Rin nodded and pushed her glasses up her nose. “You should be resting, yes you should!”
Realisation slowly sunk into your brain and suddenly you felt even sicker. You had only just realised that you had in fact missed a period. Your brain had been so focused on your upcoming wedding with Ciel that you hadn’t even thought about it. You placed a hand on your stomach. You had to see Sebastian, and fast! “Mey-Rin, I’ll be back to help you with Ciel’s study. I just need to do something,” you whispered before bolting out of the room. The maid stared after you, but didn’t stop you from doing whatever it was you were going to do.
“Sebastian!” You shouted down the halls of the manor. You had looked all over for him, but to no luck. So, you had just resorted to shouting his name.
“Yes, my lady?” A voice came from behind you.
You jumped but quickly composed yourself. “Sebastian. I must talk to you,” you looked around before whispering, “in private.”
Sebastian raised an eyebrow in suspicion before leading you into a spare bedroom. He shut the door behind you once you entered and leaned against the door. “What’s the matter my lady?” He asked.
Your eyes filled with tears, of happiness or confusion you weren’t sure, but eventually you managed to choke out. “I’m pregnant?”
Sebastian’s eyes remained calm. “I believe so, yes my lady.”
“How do you know?” You asked, taking a step closer to him.
“I can smell it,” he replied. You had recently learnt that Sebastian was, in fact, a demon. So, for him to be able to smell such things made sense to you. It was better than going to a doctor right now.
“Are you sure?” You asked.
“Positive,” Sebastian responded with a nod.
You began pacing up and down the large room with a hand on your stomach. “What am I going to do?” You asked with wide eyes. “Ciel and I can’t have a baby out of wedlock! We’ll be shunned!”
“My only solution, my lady, would be to have the wedding as soon as possible. A small wedding with a few friends and family. Then, after a few weeks, announce the pregnancy to everyone.”
You thought for a moment before nodding. “I must tell Ciel,” you mumbled.
“Do you require my assistance when you tell him?” Sebastian asked.
You shook your head. “No. No, I should be okay.”
“Very well then my lady,” Sebastian asked. “Shall we go now?” You wanted time to process this, but you also knew that time was of the essence right now. You had to do this fast and methodically. You nodded to Sebastian and he offered you his arm. You linked your arm with his and began to walk to Ciel’s study. Sebastian sensed your nervousness. “You need not worry about his response, my lady. I believe my master will be overjoyed.”
“Do you think so, Sebastian?” You asked as you reached the study. Sebastian just nodded and knocked on the study door.
“Who is it?” Ciel's voice came.
“It’s me, my lord. I come with Lady Y/N,” Sebastian answered through the door.
“Enter,” Ciel droned. As soon as you entered, you removed your arm from Sebastian’s and sighed. Ciel noted your apprehension and stood up from his desk, making his way over to you. Ciel placed his hands on your shoulders and massaged them slowly. “My love, what’s wrong? You look pale. Are you still feeling unwell?”
You nodded. “Actually Ciel it’s what I wanted to talk to you about.”
Ciel stepped back a little to get a good look at your face. His single eye meets yours, gazing deep into your orbs as if searching for something. “What is it?” He asked.
“I’m pregnant,” you blurted out. You weren’t sure exactly how to deliver the newly found out news, so you did what came to mind.
Ciel scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. “Pardon me?” He asked. He wanted to make sure he had heard you right.
“I’m pregnant,” you said, slower this time. You remained timid at the sight of Ciel’s face. He was showing no emotion but the second the news settled in, he smiled a little bit.
“Pregnant you say?” Ciel asked. “And how do you know this?” His gaze flickered to Sebastian who stood by your side.
“Sebastian,” you replied. “Mey-Rin told me that Sebastian had told her I was pregnant. So, I went to find Sebastian for myself to confirm it. He can smell it, my love.”
Ciel cupped your face with his hands and smiled lovingly at you. “This is wonderful news my dear.”
Your eyes widened in surprise. “You… You mean that?”
“Of course I do,” he whispered, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. “I want nothing more than to start a family with you Y/N.”
You let out a shaky breath of relief at his reaction. “I want that too Ciel,” you replied, wrapping your arms around his waist. Ciel let out a soft chuckle and wrapped his own arms around your neck, inhaling your scent. “But we need to get married as soon as possible. We cannot let people find out that we got pregnant out of wedlock.”
“I’m sure we can do this Y/N,” Ciel reassured you. “We can get married within the week my love. Just say the word and it’s yours. All of it.”
You smiled softly and felt tears of happiness well in your eyes. “I want this Ciel.”
“I want this too, my sweetheart,” Ciel responded. He straightened his back and pulled away from you before looking at Sebastian. “Come Sebastian, we have a wedding to plan for next week.”
“Yes my lord,” Sebastian nodded with a bow.
Ciel looked at you, his gaze soft. “Don’t worry about anything. I will plan everything and it will be perfect.”
“I trust you Ciel,” you smiled. You watched as Ciel left the room with Sebastian behind him, going off to plan your wedding. You placed a hand on your stomach and smiled softly to yourself. “You’re going to be so loved, little one,” you whispered, looking down at your belly. You sighed happily and went off to find Mey-Rin and tell her the news that you and Ciel would be getting married within the week. You were sure the servants of the Phantomhive Manor would be over the moon with the news of your pregnancy, and you already couldn’t wait to tell your family. You knew that this was where you were meant to be.

Sebastian Michaelis x Female!Maid!Reader: College
Summary: At least he can give you one hell of a goodbye before they leave.
Rating/Tags: M (overt sexual references; Phantomhive Manor; major time skip from canon; college-bound!Ciel; Ciel without quotation marks; Sebastian & Ciel; Sebastian & Ciel & Reader; historical inaccuracies; not canon compliant)
Challenge: “160 Collective Drabbles” challenge by BobaPop on Lunaescence Archives.
Notes: I haven’t read Black Butler since 2012, and I haven’t watched the anime, period. However, because I have a friend that keeps up with the series from time to time, I am aware of some plot insanity that makes this scenario completely impossible. C’est la vie.

A hollow sort of hush lay over the enormous house and all its grounds that hot August afternoon. The sun beat down on vacant flowerbeds and through the window panes into empty rooms. If any of the home’s usually raucous staff was there to see, none of them moved, none of them spoke. Their tasks were done, and what else was left but to wait for the inevitable? Wait they must. Being shouted at over their apathy was not much different than being shouted at for their enthusiasm.
Only two servants seemed to have escaped the oppressive moroseness that hung like a sheet over Phantomhive Manor. Hot as it was, sad as it was, they still had work to do. Down the deserted corridor, up the stairs, and inside the bare master bedroom stood the pair: a man, slender and dressed all in black, and a woman in a maid uniform.
The curtains had been pulled back and the window opened in the hopes of letting in some cheer, or at least a breeze. It appeared to be working, for the woman smiled as she watched the man sift through the trunk on the floor.
He lifted his head from its depths with a sigh. “I suppose everything appears to be in order,” he told the woman at his side.
You grinned, pressing your palms together. “That should be the last of it, then! We’re all finished.”
“You say that now. No doubt Mey-Rin will decide to sneak in some last minute token of appreciation and upset things all over again.”
“And Finny will want him to take flowers to remember the place by, and Baldroy will recall how awful university food is and want to send him a whole month’s worth of rations.” A laugh at the expression on the man’s face could not be entirely avoided. “I don’t know where you think you get the right to look like that, Sebastian. I’m the one that has to stay here with them.”
Sebastian, for that was the butler’s name, and the maid’s was [Name], only carded a gloved hand through his messy bangs and collapsed on the end of the stripped bed. “You know that isn’t by my choice.”
“No, but I knew it would be the Earl’s choice from the beginning, even when he said he wanted to leave you here to look after things.” When Sebastian did nothing but continue to contemplate his knees, you lighted down next to him. “Still, I confess myself disappointed. It was nice to believe I might have you all to myself for a little bit.”
A quiet scoff, and then his hands found one of yours to hold between them. “I’m sure that’s why he decided to take me after all. Can’t have the butler having any free time, can we? Not to mention all the extremely useful things for a butler to do on a university campus.”
“Taking out the trash, finding his books at the library, cooking meals at two in the morning while he studies for an exam the next morning…”
He groaned. Giggle though you might have at Sebastian’s predicament, you could see how bone-tired he really was. And who could blame him? Ciel had been running him ragged, changing plans, changing them back, get this, get that, leave him alone, why was Sebastian not at his beck and call immediately? Of course even a demon would be exhausted–or annoyed.
You bumped him lightly with your shoulder. “Hey, cheer up. I’ll be here to keep things running smoothly.”
“That’s the only thing keeping me from ripping that contract to pieces. No soul is worth this. Not even his.” Sebastian said this so dully that you might have believed he was serious, save for his dramatic fall against your side to rest his head on your shoulder and close his eyes.
“Then you’d miss out on seeing me every day,” you said.
The eyes opened up a sliver. “You’re not exactly worth it either.”
“True. I can almost promise the house won’t blow up while you’re away, but more than that…”
“There will be food and holes all over the walls. Garden dead. No clean laundry. Pantry empty. I’ll have to take each blunder out of your hide, you know.”
“That’s more like the Sebastian I know,” you breathed as you caught the smirk on his face. Your fingers danced through his hair for the shortest time imaginable before he twisted away to take your chin.
“In fact, all of these preparations might have gone more smoothly without your mistakes. It’s partially your fault that I’m considering giving my notice,” he said. “I should take that out of your hide now.”
Without further discussion, he pressed his lips to yours–“press” being the polite term for it. Heaven knew it was hot enough already. The two of you were already on a bed, however, and you were splayed across it, head spinning, before anything could be done to stop it. Sebastian’s mouth and other…admirable attributes made for a much better distraction from the warm summer and Ciel’s departure than any nonexistent breeze could. You gasped as you felt Sebastian hitch your skirts up, and–
“Here you two are. I trust you’ve finished the packing if you’ve decided you have time for a lark on my bed.”
You and Sebastian both sat up to find the master of the house--a young man with dark blue hair and an eye patch--standing in the doorway. His hands were on his hips and his usual peeved expression on his face. Ciel had found you in more compromising positions before, though, and his mind must have been too stuck on his upcoming trip to really be upset over such behavior from his servants–especially his only competent two.
Sebastian bowed, a smile not quite making it to his face in time.
“And what is it that you are doing on my bed?” Ciel asked, eyebrow raised.
Sebastian did manage a smile at that. “If I couldn’t get my master packed for university and pleasure a woman at the same time, what sort of butler would I be?”
“More hygienic, I should hope.” Ciel lifted his eye heavenward and shook his head. “Sebastian, come along. I need to go over the wallpaper with you again. I don’t think the red was a good decision. [Name], get this room dressed up again. Why did you strip it? Or do you expect me to sleep on nothing when I come home for the holidays?”
“Yes, my lord,” you said, curtsying as you got a little unsteadily to your feet.
No matter how many times Ciel walked in on you and Sebastian, you could never capture the same indifference as your companion. Too many real human emotions, you supposed. Not that that was going to stop you when Sebastian treated you like that.
“And you can go to the kitchen and help Baldroy when you’re done. I don’t want to hear another word about this going away feast he’s been prattling on about. Something light should do. I want to be situated by nine tomorrow morning, so Sebastian and I will be leaving at dusk.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“And close the window. If I’d wanted the place aired out, I would have said.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Serves you right,” Sebastian said in a low voice, as Ciel turned out into the hallway once again. “I’ll see you this evening, for as long as the master allows it. So be ready.”
“Yes, my lord,” you said with a bit of a wicked grin.
Sebastian smirked again, but before any further promises of punishment could come, Ciel was back in the room. “Sebastian!”
“Coming, sir.”
You watched them go, still smiling for as long as you could. Eventually, you would have to go downstairs and be overcome by the rest of the staff’s grief. Eventually, you would have to say goodbye to Sebastian and your master both. But not just yet, you didn’t think. Years of service to the young earl, and you knew he was softer than he let on–well, softer to everyone but Sebastian. He wouldn’t be able to resist the feast once he actually came downstairs for dinner.
And after? After the chores, after the tears, after the packing and repacking and packing again? You still had Sebastian for one more night. For a few minutes anyway. In between changing wallpaper and listening to Ciel complain about the heat.

The Wolf and the Bunny 🐺🐰
Sebastian tells his son Ciel a new bedtime story about an orphaned bunny and a lone wolf.
Here’s something for the Dadbastian fandom as the BB series is now on hiatus!
-
It’s around 7:15pm in England now; a certain little blue-haired noble boy should be going to sleep now.
“Come along now, Ciel. It’s pass your bedtime.” His father Sebastian gently picks him up from the floor where his child was playing and carries him to the bed in the middle of the nursery.
However, Ciel pouts in disagreement. “Bud I’m nod sweepy, Papa.”
“Hm, I know you by now that you are.” Sebastian chuckles.
The boy then squirms in his father’s arms as he’s placed down. “No I’m nod.”
Usually Ciel would only say those things in denial like any human child would, but he sounds like he means it this time. He surely does sound more lively and not drowsy, eyes are both wide, not droopy, so it’s clear to the demon he’s telling the truth.
Sebastian notes to himself not to give into pressure and allow Ciel sweeties before bedtime.
“Well, we can’t have you be cranky the next morning because you couldn’t get enough sleep.” He ponders aloud. “There has to be something to help you go to sleep.”
Ciel ponders too, imitating his father, and then an idea springs. His tiny hand grabs onto Sebastian’s waistcoat and tugs softly.
“Can you wead me a beddime sdowy, pwease?”
Sebastian looks down at those pleading blue eyes, so bright that it’s even hard for him to resist sometimes. Such things a human child does to him these days. He sits down on the bed next to him and reaches for the book on the bed side table.
“Alright. I think I know which story you’re talking about.” Sebastian smiles smartly.
Ciel tugs him again. “I wand a new sdowy.”
There’s a pause. Sebastian looks again down at his son’s pleading face. Usually he’d ask for him to continue to read ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ since that’s his favourite, but now he wants a new one. On the contrary, the demon’s aware that children change their minds frequently, so he shouldn’t expect Ciel to be an exception.
The book returns to its place on the table and Sebastian moves over to be closer to his son. That soft smile never fades whilst petting Ciel’s blue hair.
“I think I might have one short story in mind.” He notes softly. “But you will promise to go to sleep after the story is finished, okay?”
Ciel nods with a little ‘Mmm hmm’ as a response and grabs hold of his white bunny plushie and makes himself more comfortable by lying onto his bed pillow. And so Sebastian thinks for a moment; what can possibly be a good story to tell for a young boy at this age? He notices the toy in Ciel’s arms and it clicks.
“Okay, I think you might like this one.” Taking his seat closer to his curious son, he begins his tale.
~
“In an old forest, somewhere far from here, lived an old grey wolf. His life in his wolf pack was the same as any ordinary predator living there: to hunt for their prey. They traveled around the forest looking for any small, weak little animals to feast on, and they all enjoyed it very much… all except him.”
“I don’d like dhis sdowy, Papa.” Ciel interrupted, hiding his face under the bed sheet.
“Oh don’t worry, it will get better.” His father assures him pleasingly. “Now if I can continue…”
“Sowwy.”
“One day, on a spring morning, the wolf pack came across a rabbit burrow. Desperate for a meal, they worked together to force the rabbit out of her hole and the pack chased after her. The grey wolf stayed behind, as he picked up the sound of high squeaking coming from inside the burrow. Out of curiosity, he checked inside only to find a baby rabbit left alone. The poor thing didn’t even looked scared when the wolf approached it, it got closer instead, rubbing against its natural predator.
The grey wolf couldn’t think of how to react, so he lifted his head out of the burrow and before he knew it, the baby rabbit followed. It kept cuddling onto the wolf like he was its parent, and he didn’t know how to respond, but he didn’t throw away the baby either. The poor thing obviously didn’t understand that the mother is presumably gone and his pack would be after it next, so what can he do?
He couldn’t bring himself to harm a precious little bunny being so sweet and innocent, so he picked it up and carried it on his back. He’s thinking of taking the baby away somewhere safe before his pack showed up again - and that’s what he did.
The wolf spend the rest of the day looking out for the now orphaned bunny. Practically doing anything to keep it safe: bringing it food, water and even played with it. The bunny itself was growing very attached to the wolf more than ever, for when it felt sleepy, it cuddled up into his fur again. The wolf didn’t mind and fell asleep with it.
Why was he spending time with the little bunny instead of preying on it? He didn’t know why. All he did know was that the baby adored him and he shouldn’t take it for granted.
Suddenly, the wolf’s pack caught up to him, for they scented the bunny’s whereabouts. They demanded for him to share the rabbit with them as their meal but the wolf refused. He mentioned he didn’t want to harm an innocent baby animal and that got his pack mad at him. They chased him and the bunny all throughout the forest with no end in sight, that is, until the wolf reached the edge of a rapid, cold river.
This gave him an idea. As his pack hurried towards him in an angry state, the wolf just stood there with the bunny on his back. He waited…. and he waited… until the pack got closer with their teeth wide open. They pounced as he jumped out of the way, with one splash at a time, each wolf was swept away in the tides of the river. Who knows if they’ll make it out alive.
And so, the wolf and the bunny made it back into the forest alone. He may never see his old pack again, but he had something better with him. The innocent baby really brought out his soft spot he had a feeling was there, but not until they met was when he opened up about it. Every day they traveled through the forest to find a safe den to live together, so no other predator can bother them ever again.”
~
*snore*
Sebastian’s last sentence of his story was interrupted by the quiet, breathy noises coming from Ciel - whom is sleeping away peacefully. The image brings a soft smile to his face and carefully stands up to not make the bed creak; he doesn’t take his eyes of the sleeping child when doing do.
“Sorry, bluebird.” Sebastian whispers gently. “I think I got a bit carried away with that one.”
Pulling up the sheets, fixing the position of the pillow, and kissing Ciel’s forehead sweetly ware all what’s left to do before wrapping up for the night. Once it’s all done, he picks up the candle and whispers one final goodnight to his little bunny.
Looks like the wolf is finally content in his new den after all.
