My last two best boy enamel pin designs for the hanakotoba series. I have Cloud and Squall in the works next, and plenty of plans in mind for the future, but I figured I’d start with my favourites and see how things go <3

"Welcome home,"

Kurasame tunes out the noises from behind him with a relieved smile. Looks like his concern is wrongfully addressed.  “Kurasame-sensei!” 

Although he recognizes that voice everywhere, the cheery voice calling his name leads his eyes to search carefully across the crowded deck. When he finally has spotted the familiar comforting soft fuchsia color, he almost gets knocked back and enveloped by a pair of lithe yet strong arms. An intoxicating scent of roses fills his senses. He freezes.  “You're here.” 

(Ea'ldnarche took him away.) One by one his senses come back to him. From his eyes he can see the deck floors, there's familiar shoes he recognized stopping a few feet away. Then, there's a comforting familiar gasp he can catch behind him. The scent of roses filling his nostrils isn't so heavy anymore.  He can feel the arms that are currently caging him are firm yet gentle, how one hand is patting his head and the other is fisting hard the back of his cape. He can feel the slightest tremor is being repressed, noticing the breathy sound near the right side of his ears. He can feel Lightning's beating heartbeat arrhythmia against his.  Claire– “Lightning,” he softly says, like a whisper of a kept secret.

I looooveee this man, I’ve drawn him many times, and ofc I also have his side story box :3

“Finally, there’s some quiet in the building, something I’ve always longed for after another stressful day here. It’s almost comical in a way, it has always been this way since the first days I set foot in Akademia.  It’s been quite a while since we first met that mornig in class when we introduced ourselves -- one of the few moments, in fact, that I can recall... It’s a blurry memory, one I find difficult to grasp clearly, but it’s there, just like an anchor. And despite how guarded I’ve become through the years, she’s always been able to read me like the palm of her glove. Even after the first impression I had of her, I knew that she would be trouble, a menace along with Kazusa and Emina...(note to my future self: avoid those three together). Nevertheless, she remained close, somehow, she cut through the coldness and the walls I’ve built around myself, making me feel less like a weapon and more... like a person.

I see the way she carries herself—not just in the field, yes, but especially how she handles those reckless students. Compassionate, yet firm… We’re not so different, after all. But where I maintain distance with each one of them, she brings warmth. Her approach makes her painfully attached to those cadets and that kind of attachment... it’s dangerous, highly destructive, even. Orience doesn’t allow for that kind of softness—not without cost nowadays...

After all these years, she still waits for me. When I return from the field, bruised or bloody, it’s…a pleasant feeling, comforting, something I can’t exactly put into words. To have someone to come back to. To her, I’m more than just the Ice Reaper. I don’t know how she does it…how she sees something in me beyond what this war has shaped me to be.

I hope time may not ruin this journal.

Her cadets’ futures rest on her shoulders, and she carries that weight as if it’s nothing. But I see how it wears on her. It’s in how her smile falters when the day is done, or in the quiet moments when she thinks no one is watching. And yet, wherever we met, I’m blinded by that determination in her eyes. Y/N keeps moving forward, driven by the belief that “There’s always something beautiful out there, waiting to be found and cared for".

Even in this harsh world, even when we so easily forget the dead, even when we collect their tags and carry them to the school’s graveyard, she still believes in them, in the cadets.

It’s admirable,

For a brief moment, Kurasame stops, his pen stills as he glances at the small, light blue present sitting on his desk. The colorful ribbon is a strong contrast to the ambiance of his quarters, causing the commander to huff faintly while shaking his head.

 "I don’t deserve this"

 He mutters under his breath, the words lingering in the quietness of the room. His mask has been long forgotten next to a framed picture of them he holds dear.

kazusa gets hit with so much homophobic writing (especially in ice reaper). but what can i say, i enjoy a gay menace.

kazusa has been "jokingly" hitting on kurasame for so long that by the game's events i think they've reached a point where kurasame Would have sex with him if he thought it was a genuine offer, but kazusa never considers that his feelings could be requited enough to Make a genuine offer. Sad!

i think when kurasame first starts actually reciprocating, kazusa gets uncharacteristically overwhelmed by every single advance. he'll get his groove back once the "oh my god the guy i've been in love with for a decade likes me back" feelings aren't such a shock to the system

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Costumes Part 8

The Ally Costume Token Exchange shop just became available in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.

This shop contains all the costumes that have been released in the English or Global version of DFFOO.

Normally, you need to pay real money in order to get and be able to equip these costumes. But the game is planning to give players 2 Ally Costume Tokens for free. You can use this Token to exchange for a costume from the shop.

Sadly, the reason why we’re getting these Tokens for free is because DFFOO just announced that it will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024.

I talk more about that in another post, but that announcement came as a shock. Really wish that news wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Costumes List

Anyway, I talk more about this in another post but I already picked and got my 1st costume. Ended up choosing the 1st costume of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad). Now I need to figure out which costume to pick with my 2nd Ally Costume Token.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I still have no idea which costume to pick. There are a lot of choices, and there are lots of costumes that I’d love to be able to have. I talk more about this in another post, but it’s really too bad that we can’t get them all even with the game ending soon.

So now gonna have to go through all the available costumes then try to decide which one to pick. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make a decision soon. Want to be able to make use of these costumes as much as possible before the game ends.

Anyway, below is a list of all the costumes that are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.

Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII

Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII has 1 costume.

Vincent's costume looks nice enough but I prefer his default outfit so this one's out.

Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0

Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 2 costumes.

Ace's 1st costume looks really similar to his default outfit so it's out.

Don't like the hood in Ace's 2nd costume so this one's out too.

Rem Tokimiya from Final Fantasy Type-0

Rem Tokimiya from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 2 costumes.

Both of Rem's costumes look really similar to her default outfit so meh. Both are out.

Cater from Final Fantasy Type-0

Cater from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 1 costume.

Cater's costume is basically the same as her default outfit so this one's out.

Deuce from Final Fantasy Type-0

Deuce from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 1 costume.

Deuce's costume is basically the same as her default outfit so this one's out.

Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0

Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 1 costume.

Don't like that Machina's face is hidden in his costume so it's out.

Queen from Final Fantasy Type-0

Queen from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 1 costume.

Queen's costume is basically the same as her default outfit so this one's out.

Kurasame Susaya from Final Fantasy Type-0

Kurasame Susaya from Final Fantasy Type-0 has 1 costume.

Kurasame's costume looks nice enough and you can even see his face clearly in this one but I don't really use him all that much so this one's out.

Sherlotta from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time

Sherlotta from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time has 1 costume.

I like Sherlotta's costume way better than her default outfit but there are other costumes that I like more than this so this one's out.

Layle from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

Layle from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has 1 costume.

Don't like Layle's costume so it's out.

Prompto Argentum from Final Fantasy XV

Prompto Argentum from Final Fantasy XV has 1 costume.

Prompto's costume looks nice enough but he doesn't have his own Force or FR weapon and Burst or BT weapon so won't be able to use him much at all. So this one's out.

Gladiolus Amicitia from Final Fantasy XV

Gladiolus Amicitia from Final Fantasy XV has 1 costume.

Gladiolus's costume looks nice enough, but Iprefer his default outfit so this one's out.

And that’s it for now. There are a lot more costumes to go through but have to continue in another post because already nearing the max limit of 30 pics per post in this one.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Spheres List Part 3

After finding out that, sadly and unfortunately, the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024, started spending my saved resources and upgrading the chars who I ended up skipping before.

The end of service announcement news came as a shock. I talk more about that in another post, but I really wish the news wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.

But since the game is unfortunately ending soon, there’s no longer any reason to save resources.

Started working on maxing out chars who I may have skipped before or who aren’t fully built yet. This includes equipping Spheres to these chars.

Some of my chars already have real Spheres while some have RF Spheres while others have no Spheres at all.

Some chars have RF Spheres which I now replaced with real Spheres while some chars have no Spheres but I now gave them some.

Jessie Rasberry from Final Fantasy VII
