Just got my photos back from the Cosplay Day at Sloss Furnace!! I had so much fun cosplaying Kuranosuke in the jellyfish dress again and the fact that these turned out so lovely despite me meeting the photographer after 4 hours in the Alabama summer sun is a testament to how much fun the two of us were having!!!! If you ever are at a con with them I can't recommend them enough!!

About 99% done and ready for Katsucon 2018! With the addition of this outfit, I now officially have a full weekend line-up of Princess Jellyfish’s Kuranosuke cosplays!

Day 2 of AWA I started out with Kuranosuke from Princess Jellyfish!! I FINALLY made the Jellyfish dress after 8 years of loving this story and I love how it came out!! I make it a point every year to rewatch the anime to re-center myself and feel like a real nerd again, and I’ve gone on entire one-sided conversations talking about/comparing the anime, manga, movie, and drama series.

I sewed the dress from scratch, painted the heels, dyed and strung the pearls, and added some extra padding to the petticoat (which is where the blood in the blood, sweat, and tears went lol)! Every minute of this was a labor of love and finally wearing him brought me an incredible amount of joy that will stay with me forever!!

The GORGEOUS blue jelly I got on the bag is from The Paper Jelly (@thepaperjelly on IG/FB/etsy) who I had a wonderful time chatting with and shopping at during the Art Walk!!

2017 is over and that's all I managed this year. 12 cosplays a made partly from scratch. A few needed minor stuff to do and some where a huge project and some I had already in my wardrobe and didn't need any crafting or sewing. Also there are two cosplays I already started and I must finish for LBM.
