Empress and Revolutionary
I was in the mood for some "Love is a Hurricane" art ;33333
When I just dipped my toe into fandom I made some Kuja Empress Crocodile art and I felt the itch to revisit it for a doodle.
It doesn't make a lot of sense timeline wise because the hair should be short by the time they do something about their sexual tension but this is purely self-indulgent so who cares. X'D
(Here's a little comic about it!)

Shakky remains peak Oda female character design. Oda also hints at her Kuja roots right from the beginning, labeling her right away as a former pirate and naming her after a flower like the rest of the girls on Amazon Lily.
#opbackgrounds#one piece#ch498#shakky#Character Design#idk if it counts as foreshadowing since the kuja haven't been introduced yet but#hello foreshadowing my old friend

To see the world that you are so proud of...
Synopsis: Growing up obediently following your empress' shadow, your horizon broaden the moment you met a pirate doning a strawhat who somehow ended up on your island.
Pairing: Monkey D. Luffy x Kuja!Reader, Platonic!Boa Hancock X Fem!Reader
Spoilers from the Amazon Lily and Marineford arcs. Reader is a pure sunshine who is both kind and naive. Having mixed feelings with Luffy now.
|| One Piece Masterlist ||
|| Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3
You didn't know what happened after you were forced to leave the arena. You were placed on a cell with two of your fellow warriors guarding as you waited for the outcome of the battle.
"Please! Atleast tell me, Is Marguerite alright...? What about the other two? Sweet Pea and Aphelandra..? Are they alright.?"
"I'm sorry, (Name). But we can't disclose anything to you. All we can say is that the Gorgon sisters are battling that strange man as we speak..."
You sat there in the cell for what it felt like hours. You didn't know what had happened until you were finally allowed to be freed.
However, as soon as you left your cell, you found yourself face to face with one of the Gorgon sister, Boa Sandersonia towered over your form as she gestured you to follow her.
"(Name), Our older sister ordered for you to appear before her."
"May I ask the reason why?"
"You'll see when you get there."
You can see how hesistant her tone was as she refused to look at you in the eye. By her body language alone, you can tell how uneasy and nervous she was being. So to avoid making her uncomfortable, you decided to refrain from talking until you reached the snake princess' bed chambers.
"Oh! It's you!"
Luffy pointed his finger towards you as soon as you entered. His shock expression soon changed to excitement and relief, a grin appearing on his face.
"You're okay! I got worried when they took you away, glad to see that you're not hurt."
You gave him a gentle smile of acknowledgement before focusing your attention towards your empress who sat on her snake, Salome. She was staring directly at you, observing your interaction with the only man in the room.
"Come closer, the two of you..."
She commanded. Unlike Luffy, who approached her without any care, you cautiously took a step forward, expecting for a scolding, a punishment even.
Only for your eyes to widen in shock as she revealed her bare back on to the two of you.
"Snake Princess, but that's-! What about the curse..?!"
You immediately shielded your eyes. Hers and her sisters' backs are a sensitive subject that the whole island knew about. And here she was revealing it for you to see, was this your punishment? For you to turn to stone for disobeying her orders and allowing Luffy to live? Even going far to defending him back at the arena.
"I trust you, (Name). And it is about time you know the truth..."
There on her back, was a symbol dyed in red, circular center with four triangles resembling a claw. At that moment, you see how her shoulders trembled as you observe her mark.
"Is...is it alright for you to show it to us...? my empress, it is something you forbit anyone from discovering..."
You can see how it pained not only her but also Marigold and Sandersonia. Grandma Nyon encouraged to reveal the story, and after a few moments, you finally understood everything.
It was the mark of authority far more superior than of the Pirate Empress. The Celestial Dragon's mark, specifically the mark of slaves that belongs. Everything she experienced and the sufferings she has to endure with her sisters, she revealed it all to you and Luffy.
You stayed silent as Luffy was escorted out, him being invited to the banquet that was host whenever the Kuja Pirates return to the Island with a huge haul. You stayed behind as you felt like you shouldn't leave Hancock alone after everything that had been revealed.
"Has your view of me changer after finding out that I was a former slave...?"
"Can I really speak out my thoughts, Snake Princess? My most honest thoughts?"
You asked, revealing her secret doesn't mean that you should carelessly speak up. Boa Hancock is still the Empress of Amazon Lily, the ruler of the land you were born in.
"I will allow it."
"Then, I will reply with a No....No, I don't think any lesser of you, my empress. In fact, I think....that for to you endure such torment and rise above it is truly admirable. My respect for you just got deepened."
You spoke with true genuine in your tone. Yes, you were anguished with what you just heard. The sufferings of the people who look up upon brought pain in your heart.
"I think that...your past doesn't defy who you are. It just shows how truly strong you are."
For the first time in your life, in years of serving the Pirate Empress. This was the first time you ever saw her smile with tears in her eyes.
It was then night time when Hancock dismissed you from your duties, having kept you around for a longer conversation. You found out the truth about your mother, yet you only found yourself slightly upset. You don't really remember what she look like nor what her personality were when she was alive, however, you could still remember the warmth she emitted whenever both of you share a tender embrace as she on board the empress' ship.
Hancock's attitude around you seems to have slightly changed now. She was more vocal of what she feels and treats you better than she did before, asking for your opinions and outlook of the village. The conversation began changing to how managing the island whenever she was out.
"As you now know, my presence here is somehow a threat. I'm a pirate with a bounty so great, continue doing your duties as usual."
She was more comfortable with you now. Just by thinking about it, made you smile as you nodded at her orders. Eager to aid her with everything.
"Yes, my empress... You can always rely on me."
you immediately went back to the village where the banquet is being held. Now in a more casual clothing, you entered the room and immediately sense the tense atmosphere among the women present there.
The center of their attention was Luffy who was sitting, eating his heart out as dishes were served on his table.
"What's going on?"
"(Name) is it really okay for a man to be present on the homecoming banquet.?"
One of the warriors asked, a look of concern is visible on her face, glancing at Luffy with skeptism.
"The Snake Princess already favors him, therefore we will treat Luffy with hospitality."
Just as you said that, Luffy stood up on the table with a ladle and wok pan, demanding that the women should sing and dance since it is a banquet.
A small smile made way on to your lips, covering them as you let a small giggle of amusement.
In that instant, the atmosphere changed into a lively one with the women eventually joining in, copying Luffy as he danced and pranced around.
Lively to the point, they all got comfortable around him.
"Hey now. Everyone, that's enough."
You scolded, seeing how they all gotten too comfortable around him to the point they all have been reaching towards his rubbery skin.
"Hey!"
Soon you found yourself looking for Luffy as the women all went after him in hopes of touching his skin.
"There you are, Luffy..."
You found him crouching on a building roof. As soon as you said that, his long rubbery arms stretched and grabbed you by your waist towards him.
"Geez...What's the matter with you guys?!"
"I apologize on their behalf. It's just... we barely seen a man this close before..."
You gave him an apologetic smile. Seeing that, he soon let out a laugh as he told you that it was fine.
"I never really got to thank you for defending me in that arena earlier."
"I...just did what I thought was right...."
You told him, slightly ashamed on your actions yet you never regretted it. Yes, you felt guilty for disobeying the Snake Princess, but you couldn't find it in yourself to just allow them to kill Luffy when it wasn't his fault that he ended up stranded on your Island.
"Say Luffy...What does the outside world looks like...?"
You asked. Your curiosity resurfaced after many years of trying to supress it, was it because of Luffy being here? But after becoming Boa Hancock's closest aid, you devoted yourself to follow every command without questions. Your loyalty overcame the curiosity about the world outside of Amazon Lily.
"Are....the seas really that vast? Are there really more islands out there?"
Back then, Hancock barely spoke to you and you could only rely on either Sandersonia or Marigold to tell you all about what they had seen while traveling through the seas. Brief conversations that could never satisfy you. It was thirst of wanting something that you know you will never have.
After all you have a duty to serve and protect Amazon Lily as it's devoted warrior.
"I dunno. Our adventures are always been exciting that I never really cared how big the sea is. But I do know that the Grandline is huge! I can't wait to sail and see everything with my crew!"
Luffy told you about his recent adventures. From his entry to the grandline, meeting Laboon the huge whale, up to his battles on Thriller Bark.
"There are Islands in the sky?!"
"Yeah! I even beated up this guy with long earlobes!"
"Woah..!"
Luffy grinned as he stared at your sparkling eyes that was looking back at him with wonder and admiration. He was reminded of Chopper just by staring at you. He wanted to see his crew badly now.
"I'll sail through these seas and become the King of Pirates!"
"I'm sure that you'll be able to do it!"
You encouraged, getting all hyped up from just his words alone. Luffy's aura reminded you of the sun and its brightness. That's how you felt just being near him.
Warmth.
"You know, you could just get on board that pirate ship your Empress have. You'll see how big the grandline is, with your own eyes."
You faltered at his words, he seem to have noticed and started to frown.
"What's wrong?"
"I just....feel like I have a sense of duty to stay here. And the snake princess said it herself. I'm not ready to leave the Island just yet."
"Why? You're already strong..."
"I can't disobey the Snake Princess, Luffy..."
Why can't you disobey? Was it because obeying her was something that you already drilled into your mind at a young age...? Or is it because you can't make decisions for yourself without having someone tell you what to do.
You grew up never knew how to say 'No'. It was always you doing what you have been told without ever complaining whether the task is easy or difficult. Because you hated to disappoint not only your Empress but also your fellow warriors.
"I see..."
Luffy just looked at you as if he already knows what was going on, yet he didn't say anything. His eyes stared at your tense and slightly trembling form. He then went through his pockets and pulled out a chunk of meat that he managed to save right before he was chased after by the Kujas.
"I do what I wanna do, I'm captain of my ship. Not even my crew can stop me!....Well maybe Nami. She's scary like a demon."
He took a huge bite before looking back at you with a grin. Seeing bits of meat stuck on his teeth made you laugh slightly. Luffy is really is a silly man.
"It doesn't hurt not to listen all the time. You went to defend me even when you know that you'll be in trouble. You do what you think is right!"
Your words from earlier came back towards you. You couldn't help but grew fond of him, hearing his somehow meaningful words as he feasted on the meat was holding without a care in the world.
He doesn't even seems to realize the effect his words he had on you.
"Thank you, Luffy...."
You stood up from your place and immediately waved discreetedly towards Marguerite who spotted you right away.
"Hey...! What are you doing?!.... They might see me and chase me again...!"
"You need a place to hide, right? Don't worry, Marguerite knows what to do. She'll take you there."
When Luffy came back from Marineford, he was gravely injured. You could only watch from the distance as the men wearing white boiler suits docked at the far side of the Island.
The last time you saw him was when he left in a hurry to save his brother Ace from execution. Your Empress gave you a brief summary of what had happened and gave you temporary management of the warriors while her and her sisters sailed off.
"(Name)...Keep watch over those men on the far side of the Island. Report back once Luffy regain conciousness...please..."
The Snake Princess looks very distraught, so you immediately agreed upon hearing her request. Not a command, but a request. You could never deny a request.
Two weeks. That was how long you kept watch. The warriors back at the village would often bring you meals. By following the rules with the exception of Luffy, you kept your distance from the men and hid on top of trees.
Eventually, Luffy woke up. You were happy and was about to report until you noticed something odd.
Luffy went on a rampage.
"Hey...Can you report this to the Snake Princess in my stead? Tell her that Luffy regained conciousness..."
You asked a fellow Kuja who happens to be nearby. From the distance you could hear distant shouting of intense agony and destruction.
"Luffy!"
You stood on top of a tree branch, watching in absolute shock, as Luffy destroys everything around him. Trees and boulders. Nothing was left untouched. You began to worry that he might reopen his wounds.
Fortunately, the blue fish-man managed to calm him down. But the sight of Luffy crying made you feel a sudden ache from within too. As if you could feel his pain. Luffy lost his brother, and it somehow hurt you too.
"It must have hurt so much....doesn't it...Luffy?"
You were hurting for him. You want him to show his usual sunshine smile like he always have. Crying is not something you want to see Luffy do yet you don't even know how to comfort him.
"I want to approach and say something but..."
You weren't naive. You know of the snake princess' illness and how much she needs Luffy if she wants to live long. So to spare your own feelings you decided at that moment, to stay away from him even after growing so fond of him. How much you wanted to be there for him now that he needed someone to lean on as he suffers.
"The....empress' happiness comes first..."
So now, you could only watch on a distance as your heart breaks from hearing his cries.

All I want in life is to see the kuja pirates, the barto club, and the heart pirates trampling over each other for Luffy merch
Like black friday sales videos but it's just them fighting over a shirt with Luffy's face on it
Law sitting his entire crew down with a whiteboard giving them an elaborate explanation of the plan and giving them strict orders to fight with all they've got because that shop is the only one that carries a specific shirt and law is going to get his hands on it even if he has to kill someone
His crew enabling the behavior paying the most attention they ever have and even taking notes while they nod along and raising their hands to give law suggestions and ask questions, like they have never been that engaged in a plan their entire lives but anything for loser boyfriend law because it's funny as fuck
The three captains at the front of the store eyeing each other like they're about to fight to the death and tbh they're probably prepared to
There's also regular people there who just happen to like Luffy and they are immediately chased out because it is NOT that serious they don't really need that jacket with the strawhat design on the back
Stores creating memberships with monthly fees to get updated when they get new merchandise and they make a shit ton of money from those three
"I will pay you to cancel their subscriptions" over and over again just to be petty and so the others miss the next update

Boa Hancock & Neferatari Vivi x female reader for women’s day!!
ik I’m late to women’s day guys!! But I’m still gonna participate! (Totally not an excuse to write for some of my fav op girls that I haven’t written much for yet)
Hancock x a fem reader would be like the ultimate alternative timeline to her not falling in love with luffy lol
let’s say your in the kuja pirates specifically,
that would make more sense as to how you got closer since your on the same crew and obviously get to interact with her more versus just fan girling in the crowd lolol 😂
just the same as luffy, she’d realized her love for you after getting worried for your safety and feeling ill (love sick 😀) mid expedition at the fact that you might be hurt
when everyone gets back to the boat she tried to unsuspectingly scope you out (tried because she was actually frantically searching for someone and wouldn’t say who as everyone panicked-) and as soon as she saw you she sighed in relief! But soon after, she started blushing and she felt a warm fuzzy feeling!
what was this? Is this what they call..? Love?!
it was such a joyous feeling..! She couldn’t believe she was feeling such intense emotions at your presence alone!
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”Lady hebihime!! Are you all right?!”
”all right..!”
”right..!”
”right..”
Your words echoed over and over again in Hancock’s spinning head. You..we’re worrying for her?! Your so…kind!- So!- so!- your such a selfless woman!!
and yeah that’s pretty much how it went HAHAH
you can pretty much guess you’ll get special treatment from then on, she’s in love with you after all!! Naturally it’s her duty to protect her lover! 😊 (you haven’t even asked her out yet Hancock! - Glorisa)
she invites you into the palace and gives you the best food and treatment straight away!! Put your feet up dear! Are you hot? tired? Do you need water?? “Hurry up and bring the giant fans! My lover is hot!”
no pun intended even though you are 😉
“lover..? Lady hebihime..! May I ask what your talking about..😅”
”o-oh! W-well..I was just thinking…maybe…we could go on a date..?! ☺️😅”
“ME?? Hebihime!! I- I’m honored but what brought this about?! This is….strangely sudden, you know? Not trying to be rude!-”
”Hancock!”
”eh??- I mean!- hebihim-”
”Hancock!! Y-you..can call me Hancock..if you’d like!- I mean if you’d prefer to call me something else like a pet name, honey or dear m-maybe-…!”
”But!- hebihime-”
“-And to answer your question! What brought this about……I’m not sure myself…I have no idea actually, I found myself worrying about you and when I saw you again….When I saw you..! When I…..Kyaaa! 😍”
”Hancock!! Are you all right?! What happened!?
“ !!….You…! You!- You said my name!! This must be..! This must be!! What they call!- Engagement!~ 😍😍”
”huh?? 😀 hebihime?-“
“No! Go back! Don’t call me hebihime anymore!! We’re getting married next month so!- So call me by my name from now on! Okay honey?! 😍💗”
*mutters while being carried bridal style by Hancock* “I’m getting married…to the hebihime..😵💫💫”
and yes you actually did get married the next month :)
being the wife of the pirate empress is the liiiife 😎👍 you get whatever you want, whenever you want and however much you want of it!! Without a question! Your words are as absolute as sold gold on the island of women! Hancock will likely even ignore elder nyon/Glorisa for you <3
and yeah you can pretty much just imagine your dream life for the rest! Expect that to become your reality when married to Hancock bc even thanos snap can’t compare 🗿😭
Vivi is such an awesome girl - honorable mention okay? 😤👏
let’s say your not a straw hat tho :) just for funzies :3 imagine you’ve lived on alabasta just as long as she has and even infiltrated Baroque works with her. And also helped save alabasta!
best friends to lovers anyone?? Lesbian edition >:> 👩❤️👩 🧡🤍💖🏳️🌈
after it’s all said and done, and crocodile is defeated, you two say cya to the straw hats and you help Vivi rebuild her kingdom
somewhere during the time things start looking up as for alabasta’s cleanup, she confesses! Oops spoiler :}
“hey!!..I’ve been looking all over for you 😅”
“Oh hey Vivi! What is it?”
”oh nothing I just, well it’s not nothing…can we talk? Uh- you know..in private?”
”oh yeah sure! Come inside I was just cleaning up heheh, excuse the mess..”
“It’s nothing! Really, it’s fine no need to be so formal…we’re close, right?”
“Yeah :) what is it you wanted to talk about though? Is it something bad I’m nervous 😃”
”Oh! Nononono! Nothing bad nothing bad!-“
*sigh of relief* “hah, that’s good 😅”
*awkward yet adorable giggles come from both you and Vivi*
“well..what I wanted to talk about was…us, as in…who we are”
“Oh no Vivi don’t come out and tell me we’re aliens now we’ve barely finished cleaning up alabasta! 😭😂😂”
”what?? Hey! No! I-I’m trying to be serious here! 🤦♀️“
”OH! Oops 😄 go ahead go ahead!”
“I meant who we are as in, as a….relationship! Like- um..we’re friends right? Soo..if we could be……”
“Vivi..you mean..?”
”YEAH! 😭😅 I mean if- if we could be..more, if- if you want if not we can just stay friends-“
”No! I- hahah, I honestly never thought you’d ask, like- literally! I’ve kinda been waiting but you never did so is assumed-“
lots of awkward laughing and explaining of feelings ensue from there 💗(🏳️🌈😜)
actually being in a relationship with her includes training, yes training, because you never know what could happen. Just as crocodile happened and no one knew he would. So from now on she wants to be prepared, she refuses to be blindsided again—for the sake of her people!
she’s a cute mix of awkward, kind and a tad bit shy 💗 it’s like, she almost wouldn’t know how to act around you if you weren’t so close, but you are! So that makes things easier :)
she’s highly knowledgeable and I feel she’d have quiet a bit of hobbies. if you like to do similar things she’d love to partake in those activities with you! But if you have different interests, exploring each one as you teach her about them would be fun too! <3
Vivi is a literally princess, which means as her lover you get princess treatment! 😘 (all puns intended) She can afford it after all! Pell and Vivi’s father would adore you! You make Vivi so happy, how can they not?!
she talks about you more often than you know 🤫 “Dad!! Don’t tell her that!- it’s kind of embarrassing you know?!” oops Vivi heard him
well anyway 😊
Vivi is a very caring and protective lover as seen with Nami (when she stayed by her side the whole time she was ill). So of course that’s not any different when it comes to you, it’s highly likely Vivi knows first aid so if you get a minor injury? Be more careful!! 🩹❤️🩹💋 A major injury?! Hurry! Rush her to the royal hospital! Quickly! Giver her the best treatment! It’s okay, relax, she’s here 💖
Vivi will be with you through thick and thin and her loyalty is unwavering. She may not be the strongest banana in the bunch but she’ll certainly defend you with all she has if it comes down to it! 😤💪
Also!!! Can’t believe I haven’t mentioned this yet!!- Karoo!!!! Karoo loves you <33 Vivi thinks your bond is adorable, especially how Karoo always lets you ride on him :} you bring him snacks and drinks and he runs to you each time. If your tired of walking he’ll carry you without complaints as well so that’s a perk!
I feel the other spot billed ducks would love you as well! Karoo probably tells them how great you are 🤗 You might even like one of them enough to make them your duck! (I would, they seem cooler than a freezer 😎👍)
Okayyy~ lovely readers, followers and anyone new here..!
I hope you enjoyed these headcanons!!~

Can't Fix Fix A Broken Heart, Chapter 26 - The Good Ending :)
For all you Nonnies who feel bad for dear Reader.
18+ MDNI on Ao3
All the other chapters
The Moby had finally made it to Heddle Island and you’d been practically counting down the seconds until your girl’s day with Tate. You were so excited to finally be allowed off the ship and on solid ground again, nothing could dampen your elated mood. Well, almost nothing. The boat had already been docked for a day and you still hadn’t been on the island. Tate was working until the following day when she was granted shore leave. You were going stir crazy with the island so close but not being able to go.
On the first day that the Moby had docked, Marco and Thatch disembarked, saying something about scoping out the island. You weren’t sure why, there wasn’t a strong Marine presence on the island. If anything, it was held as a neutral territory, the materials that they produced too precious to pirates, Marines, and civilians for anyone to cause trouble. It was also extremely close to the Calm Belt, not a very advantageous position to maintain for any particular group. Even so, you didn’t ask if you could go with them because you didn’t want anything to get in the way of your day with Tate. You didn’t want to “waste” your opportunity off the island in case you only got one.
You were fixing a few musical instruments on the deck when someone put their hand on your shoulder. Squeaking, you turned around to see a grinning Thatch, with members of the Fourth lingering behind him, chatting among themselves.
“ Mija , look what I found,” he said, motioning to the devil fruit held in his hand. You instinctively leaned back, away from the fruit. Even though it was just a fruit, it almost seemed menacing , like it was radiating evil.
“Congrats,” you said lightly, “what are you going to do with it?” Your gut told you there was nothing good about that fruit, you wondered if Thatch felt it too. Maybe he’d sell it, make a lot of money.
“What will I do with it? Eat it, of course. Think about how much stronger I’ll be for you, Mami," Thatch said, flexing a bicep. You hummed, thinking to yourself. You almost told Thatch you didn’t think he should eat it, but that was his choice, not yours.
“Do you know what it does? I can try researching it for you in the library,” you suggested. You hadn’t known what yours did before you ate it, many people didn’t. Still, it was always a good idea to try and find information beforehand.
Thatch tutted his disapproval. “It’s always better to eat a devil fruit right away and I have a good feeling about this one. Maybe it’s the Break -break Fruit and I’ll break things and you’ll fix them. We’ll be a matching set,” Thatch said, smiling at you. You smiled back but it didn’t reach your eyes. Even though you had mixed feelings about Thatch, you knew that this fruit was bad news. But you held your tongue, Thatch was a grown man and could make his own choices.
“I’m going to eat it with Marco in the infirmary right now,” he continued, “he can help me with the transition and make sure there aren’t any adverse events. I should be fine by the morning, but I don’t think I can make your girls day trip tresora . I know Ace, Izou, and Vista were already planning on going. I think that’s enough, that’s three Commanders with two little ladies, no?” You nodded, thankful he didn’t reconsider the trip now that he wouldn’t be going.
“I’ll bring you back something,” you said brightly, kissing his cheek.
“Just make sure you come back to me, and all will be right in the world Mami .” He kissed your forehead, pinched your cheek. “I’ll see you soon, I can’t wait to show you what I’m capable of,” he said, and turned to go, Devil Fruit in hand. You sighed, you didn’t think this was a good idea. But either way, it seemed like it was happening, and now.
With Thatch and Marco occupied with the Devil Fruit, you were spending the night with Ace. Coming into his room, carrying everything you would need for the day, you found Ace laying on his bed, arms behind his head, lost in thought. You set down your belongings and crossed the room, sitting down next to him on the bed.
“Hey, you alright?” It wasn’t the first time you’d seen Ace like this, he was prone to depression. He hadn’t ever told you the full details about why, but it didn’t really matter. He needed support and affection, which you often provided.
“Yeah, M’fine. Listen, I wanna talk to ya,” Ace said, looking at you. Waiting for him to continue, you nodded encouragingly. “Do you, um, like being on the ship?”
You blinked a few times, trying to think how to answer the question without getting in trouble. “I did prefer living on land, but I know that’s not really possible right now,” you hedged, not answering the question directly.
“No, no. Like, um, do you like being here with us? Like with me and Marco and Thatch?” You bit your lip. You didn’t know how to answer.
“Um, I…I’m not, um……yes.” You stuttered in the beginning, unsure what to say. The truth was that there were some things about them that you did like but many that you didn’t. But you weren’t sure how much you could trust Ace to keep your confidence or not to get angry and punish you. Ace didn’t respond, just looked at you as if trying to solve a puzzle.
Ace POV
Ace watched you wring your hands and struggle to answer his simple question, searching his face for his reaction before you answered. Your body language was answer enough, no matter what you said. He smiled at you, and you immediately responded in kind, relieved that he wasn’t angry with you. Ace wanted to groan in frustration but didn’t want to upset you. For now, he would just allow things to happen as they would.
“C’mere,” Ace suggested, holding his arms out to you. He slid over on the bed, making room for you. You obliged and got in next to him, folding yourself into his arms. Ace still loved you and everything about you. He loved the way you smelled, the way you helped him, your thoughtfulness, your kindness, your beauty. He was just as taken with you now as he had been when you first fished him out of a pile of wood and made him shower. He loved the way you fit into him perfectly at night, your breathy sighs, your tight cunt, all of you from head to toe. He ran his hands up and down your back under your shirt. Ace was proud of you, when he first met you, there was no way you’d let him see your back, much less feel it. You’d made a lot of progress in a lot of ways with them. He hated the raised scars, the physical manifestations of the suffering you’d been through. But he loved holding the woman he loved tightly, reassuring her with his touch.
“Do you want me to take it off?” you asked quietly.
“Nah, ‘m tired,” Ace replied. He didn’t want to push anything, just let you relax and do what you wanted. You hummed happily, snuggling deeper into his arms. He rubbed your back until you fell asleep and a while longer after that. Ace stayed awake late into the night, thinking over the events of the past few months. He knew what he had to do, he knew it had to happen, but he felt lost. He had siblings and brothers to help him along the way, he supposed, but it was a different feeling. He pulled you tighter into his embrace, your small chuff of displeasure quickly dissipating when he heated you a little more using his fruit. He felt like he was trying to stop the sands of an hourglass from falling, trying to keep you in the present.
Your POV
You woke the next morning to a snoring Ace and sunshine streaming in through the windows. Ace looked tired, like he hadn’t slept well. You disentangled from his arms as gently as you could and shut the shades for him to continue sleeping. It was early but you were too excited to sleep. After changing your clothes, you hurried off to the Women’s Quarters, knocking on the door lightly. Tate, already dressed in civilian clothes and carrying a large stuffed tote, answered the door. Seeing you, she smiled widely and came out, quickly closing the door behind her.
“Hey lady, you excited too?” the nurse asked, waggling her eyebrows.
“Of course, I can’t wait. I’ve been practically pacing the deck waiting to get off the ship,” you replied. It was too early to disembark, you needed to wait for at least Vista and Izou, if not Ace as well.
“We should check on Thatch and say hi to Marco before we go,” Tate mused. “We’ll get more undisturbed time if we see them in the morning. An ounce of medicine is worth a pound of cure and all that.” Her idea made sense, you knew they both liked to lay eyes on you as often as possible, so seeing them this morning probably meant fewer calls on the Den Den Mushi or emergency lift off from Marco.
“Good thinking, let’s bring them breakfast. You know how Thatch gets when he’s hungry,” you grumbled. You’d only seen it once, but he was so bitchy when he needed to eat. You hadn’t said it to his face, but it was amazing how quickly he’d become his jovial self once he ate a stack of pancakes. The two of you headed over to the kitchens, loading plates with the Commander’s favorites in the hopes of appeasing the men. Tate carried Marco’s and you carried Thatch’s as you chatted on your way to the infirmary.
After Tate opened the door, the two of you walked into the infirmary and poked around until you saw Thatch sleeping in a bed with Marco reading in a chair nearby. You went up to Marco, putting Thatch’s plate on a table near the bed and handing him his own. Tate had gone to check in with the nurses in anticipation of her day off. Marco put down his book, smiling up at you, and took his plate from your hands.
“Good morning, Marco,” you said, kissing his cheek.
“Good morning, Doveling. Thank you for the breakfast. To what do I owe this surprise?” You sat down on Marco’s lap, trying to enhance his good mood.
“Is everything OK? If Thatch is doing well, I was going to leave with Tate soon, I wanted to say goodbye first,” you said, leaning back against his broad chest. Marco placed the book on the floor and his arms encircled you.
“If this is what your behavior is like in anticipation of a reward, perhaps we need to think of more yoi,” Marco said, holding your chin in his hand. You were embarrassed if Tate came in and saw you like this, your face flushing. But you didn’t pull away, you let Marco do what he wanted. Marco held you in place as he kissed you, his other hand grabbing at the fat of your ass and kneading it. Thatch groaned in bed, causing Marco to pause and look at his friend.
“Almost got carried away, Doveling. Thatch is fine, it was a rough transition. We aren’t sure what the fruit does yet but whatever it does is making it difficult for me to heal him. Very curious,” Marco finished, puzzling over the fruit. He brightened again when looking back at you. “Enjoy your day trip, Doveling. I’ll see you when you get back.” He kissed your neck and set you on your feet, sending you off with a playful swat to your ass.
“Bye, Marco. See you later,” you said brightly, heading for the door of Thatch’s room. Tate was waiting for you outside the door, watching through the window. She wasn’t as happy as she had been earlier that morning, frowning at you.
“Everything alright? Is something happening with the nurses?” you asked, worried.
Tate smiled once again. “No, no. We’re all set. Let’s get going, it’s late enough now.” The two of you climbed the stairs to the top deck, looking for Vista, Ace, and Izou. Finding the older two Commanders, you were surprised to see an annoyed looking Ace waiting with them.
“Everyone ready?” Tate asked the gathered crew.
“Yes. Time to move,” Vista boomed, twirling his mustache. Ace looked like he was still half asleep, you came up behind him and rubbed his back.
“C’mon, Ace. I’ll give you money for breakfast on the island,” you said, Ace brightening up immediately. “I’m sure I’ll have leftover funds from the budget.” You had been to the island a few times, you wondered if anyone remembered you. Even if they didn’t, you were pretty good at haggling, you could get the prices of almost anything down, especially throwing a name like Whitebeard’s around.
“Don’t coddle the boy,” Izou tutted at you. “He’s known about this venture for days, he knew what time we were leaving.” You stuck out your tongue at Izou in defense of Ace, and Izou rolled his eyes with a smile.
The Commanders helped you and Tate board the dinghy, and sailed the smooth waters to the island. You, Izou, and Tate all excitedly discussed which fabric stores you’d want to go to, as well as the spa that you were all excited for. Vista was excited for the spa, not the fabric stores. Ace wasn’t excited at all, still hungry for breakfast. You thought he might like the spa once he got there.
“I think we should go to the spa first,” suggested Tate. You were a little surprised, you always liked getting your work out of the way first.
“Are you sure? Won’t it be more relaxing if we get what we need first? Get everything done?” you asked.
Tate shook her head. “The only reservations I could get for a group of two women and three men were in the morning. I can always cancel the reservations and we could try to get in during the afternoon but the women’s spa fills quickly. I can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to get in.” Her explanation made sense, and you really did want to revisit their wet saunas and hot tubs.
“I must agree with Tate,” Izou said, “ this one will be much more amenable to waiting for us while shopping if he’s pampered first,” motioning with his head to Vista.
“Oi,” his husband replied, “I’m sure the hot stone massages you have booked have nothing to do with your opinion, dear?” Izou pouted but Vista just laughed. You smiled, they fought like the old married couple they were.
“Alright, we can look at the fabrics in the afternoon. We’ll get better deals anyway,” you stated, knowing how the businesses on the island tended to work. Ace tied off the boat to the dock and helped you off the vessel. You waited for the group, walking together down the pier towards the town. You saw a few people point at you and whisper, but didn’t mind. The Whitebeard Pirates were an extremely notorious crew and you’d come to the island with famous Commanders. Making your way downtown, a few people gave you shocked waves, and you waved back. The town was just as beautiful and charming as you remembered. Every building was richly colored, a pictographic sign above each building delineating what the business inside was.
Passing by a thread store you’d bought from several times in the past, the elderly owner came out to greet you herself. “Amo? Is it really you?” the old woman asked, looking at you over her green framed glasses. Your friends stood back, allowing you the private conversation.
You smiled kindly and stopped to hold the hand of the grandma. “Hi, Nana. Yes, it’s me. I’ll be by to see you this afternoon, I’m going to the spa right now.”
Nana had tears in her eyes as she clapped your hand between hers. “We’ve missed you so dearly! We all heard about your island being destroyed and nothing for years after that. We all thought…well, it doesn’t matter. You’re alive and here now. But…” her voice dipped to a whisper, “are you the prisoner of these pirates? If you want, there are other ways off the island.”
Your eyes widened, you hoped Ace didn’t hear that. You glanced over out of the corner of your eyes, Ace was studying something in the store window next door. You sighed in relief. “Ah, no, I’m OK. These pirates have…helped me,” you whispered back. Nana nodded at you, still questioning your words.
“If you say so. I’ll wait for you this afternoon, I can’t believe you’re finally back after all these years! It really is a miracle,” Nana finished, speaking at full volume once again. “See you later, dear,” Nana said, waving you off.
“Wow,” Ace said with a whistle, “you’re popular here. Everyone’s whispering about you.”
You shrugged your shoulders, about to reply when Izou spoke. “Pff. I told you, she’s incredibly famous. Probably the second most famous person on our ship, after Pops. She’s just humble.” You blushed, you didn’t think that was true, but didn’t disagree. It was kind of nice having people value you for your skills rather than what you could provide to them. Since Ace couldn’t enjoy being in the spa due to his Devil Fruit, you gave him some money and sent him to go get himself breakfast.
“Bye,” he said, wrapping his arms around you, burying his face in your neck.
“Bye, Ace. See you this afternoon,” you said while being squished by the Commander. Ace hummed, kissed you on the mouth chastely, and smiled.
“Yeah. This afternoon,” he said, looking deep into your eyes. You had never seen Ace like this before, he must be incredibly hungry. He walked off, shuffling his feet under him. You’d check in on him later, you thought, he must still be upset by whatever he was thinking about the previous day.
Walking to the spa, you were greeted with the soothing smells of lavender and bergamot and the sounds of rushing water. This particular spa was known for recreating hot springs inside, complete with a large waterfall. Tate ambled up to the counter and slid a card to the receptionist, speaking with her casually. Picking up the card, the receptionist nodded and handed Tate two pink robes and towels. Coming back to the group, Tate handed you the robe and towel.
“Alright, boys. Time to split up. The receptionist will hand you what you need, we’re going off to the women’s side of the spa. Let’s meet up in say, three hours? How does that sound?” Tate asked the men. Three hours sounded like a lot of time to you, but Tate was organized with a plan. You’d go along with what she wanted, she seemed to know what was going on. Izou looked you over.
“Goodbye, Amo. See you soon,” Izou said, somewhat sadly.
“It’s just three hours,” you said, rolling your eyes.
“Of course,” he replied, smiling. Izou hugged you, a rare moment of physical affection from him. Vista hugged the both of you, eyes crinkling. You weren’t sure why they were being weird, but you liked hugging them both. Tate, took your hand, pulling you towards the door marked for women.
“We gotta go! We’re on a tight schedule,” Tate said brightly, waving to the men. With that, Tate practically pushed you inside the changing room.
Tate POV
Tate was nervous, everything needed to go off without a hitch in order to save you. So far, everything worked out perfectly. She had been nervous that the old woman was going to ruin everything with her suggestion, but thankfully you didn’t respond to her. Tate, Izou, Vista, and Ace hadn’t told you about your impending rescue. Tate knew you couldn’t lie well and Marco would be able to tell something was going on. He’d figure it out quickly, and Tate shuddered to think of the consequences for you both.
Pushing you into the changing room away from the men, Tate quickly grabbed you by the shoulders. “Listen,” she said to you, “you’re not staying in the spa. You’re leaving.” You looked at Tate with eyes filled with confusion. “We can talk freely here, the sound of the running water means no one can hear us, even if they have observation haki,” Tate explained. “We don’t have a lot of time, you need to move fast. There’s a Kuja ship docked on the other side of the island. They’re waiting for you, they’re going to take you to Amazon Lily,” Tate said in a rush. She had met the Empress long ago, and Boa owed her a favor. Besides, Boa was already interested in your Devil Fruit ability, you’d be invaluable there.
“What - why would -” Tate cut you off. She was sorry but time was a luxury she didn’t have.
“Shh. Listen, listen. I know what’s been happening on the ship. With Marco, with Thatch. It’s not…it’s not right. It’s not what - you deserve better. A better life. Not…not what you have on the ship. I called in a favor, the Kuja sometimes rescue women in need, especially women with unique skills, like you. They’ll take you to Amazon Lily, we’re the closest you can get on the Grand Line. Marco won’t be able to follow if they set sail soon. The Calm Belt is too dangerous even for him to fly through and besides, there’s political considerations that tie his hands regarding the Kuja. So, you have to go. Now. Don’t get undressed, take this,” Tate said quickly, handing you her heavy tote. “It’s some of your belongings, a few of mine, and money the nurses gathered for you. I’ll lead you out the back door.” Tate grabbed your hand and started walking you through the spa.
“Wh-what about Izou and Vista and Ace? Won’t they come looking for me?” you asked, still processing everything Tate had just told you.
“They already know all of this, they helped me set everything up. They’re here to keep our cover, having them here made Marco feel safe enough to send you to the island. Ace finally got his head out of his ass and is going to head off Marco if he comes to the island before the ship sails. Luckily for us, Thatch ate that fruit and is out of the picture for today, in addition to keeping Marco busy. It couldn’t have worked out better.” Tate had guided you to the back door, and had her hand on the handle. You had tears running down your face, Tate wasn’t sure you noticed.
“Th-thank you, thank you, thank you,” you cried, holding Tate’s arm. “I can’t - I can’t repay you,” you sobbed. “Aren’t you going to get in trouble?” you asked, lip quivering.
“Nah, I have enough people on my side. Nothing’s gonna happen to me. Besides, who can say what really happened?” Tate said with a wink. “I was getting a massage, you were in the sauna, how was I to know you escaped?” Tate’s expression turned serious, “you living a long healthy, peaceful life is all the repayment I need. You deserve it. Now, go. Take this alley to the very end and turn right on the main street. Take it all the way to the far docks and ask for the Kuja ship. They’re waiting for you. Hand them this,” Tate explained, giving you a note ending with her signature. Tate hugged you fiercely, she knew it would be for the last time.
“Thank you,” you repeated, wiping your nose on your sleeve. Tate opened the door to your future.
“Go, enjoy your freedom,” Tate said with a smile.
Epilogue - Three Months Later
You sat on the ground, fixing innumerable arrows for Kuja warriors as they waited their turn in line to see you. It wasn’t interesting, but you didn’t mind doing it for those who protected you. You appreciated them the same way you did the Brothers - gruff and terse but caring in their own way. You’d made a few close friends, women who had escaped from circumstances similar enough to your own. The Kuja were friendly, but didn’t understand what it felt like to not be a warrior capable of defending yourself. The Kuja women were fierce but kind, giving you company when you wanted it and space when you needed it. You’d started to build another life for yourself, though it wasn’t easy starting from scratch yet again.
Life was slower on Amazon Lily, but you wouldn’t have traded it for anything. You were lost in those first few weeks, trying to understand who you reported to and who you needed to please. It turned out that beyond the Empress, no one was your boss and no one needed much from you. Of course, they expected you to work and earn your keep on the island. As isolated as it was, there wasn’t a lot of room for loafers, everyone had tasks to attend to. You quickly demonstrated your value and spent your days making clothes or fixing things, much like you had on the Moby.
But you didn’t have fear constantly lingering and creeping into your thoughts, you didn’t feel like you had to watch what you said, always walking on eggshells. You didn’t have to sit on someone’s lap to eat, to accept whatever sexual acts were being forced on you, to have your boundaries trampled constantly. You didn’t have to worry about rules and punishment, outside of the normal rules of their society. Sure, men weren’t allowed on the island, but it wasn’t like you were going to bring any.
The longer you stayed at Amazon Lily and the more you spoke with the other traumatized women, the more you saw how awful your time on the Moby was. You struggled immensely with guilt, anxiety, and feelings of abandonment as you sifted through all the memories. You were grateful for your physical health, but it came at too high a price. It was all so clear in retrospect, now that you were away from it all. You tried to push it from your mind, keep yourself in the present.
Except.
Sometimes late at night after all the other women had gone to bed, and you were alone by the dying fire, your mind would drift to those you’d left behind. To Ace, to Vista, to Izou, to Tate. You hoped your friends had escaped retribution, that no harm had befallen them on your behalf. Tate was so self assured that she wouldn’t have any backlash, but you weren’t so sure. You would send up thoughts and wishes to the skies, sending the Universe your wishes for their good fortune.
And other nights, you would think of the other two. Of Thatch, of Marco. A shiver would tingle down your spine as you remembered their smiles, their words, their touches. And on those nights, you’d extinguish the fire quickly, the flickering flames far too reminiscent of another.

This is mostly focused on yours and Hancock's relationship.
|| One Piece Masterlist ||
|| Part 1 || Part 2 ||
"Rejoice.. From this day and so on, you will directly serve me alone...."
Growing up, all you ever did was listen and obey those who ranks stronger than you. And that person was no other than Boa Hancock, the Empress of your island.
When your mother died unexpectedly, she took you under her watchful eyes. Being only a child at the time, you were unaware of how dangerous your surroundings were. Surrounded by the jungle and waters filled with sea kings, you will never survive.
The women were all like walking on eggshells around you. Your mother was a fearsome warrior that boarded the Kuja Pirates' ship. She was well respected by her peers and because of that, the rest treated you like a delicated flower that deserved to be sheltered.
You were a child without a maternal protection and guidance.
But after being graced by her benelovence, you grew to adore the snake princess and bow to serve her with everything you have. Hancock treated you like how she would treat anyone below her, yet in your child like mind, she was the only one who didn't see you as fragile as glass.
And to repay that, you went and learned the ways of the women in the island.
"Snake Princess, please allow me to serve your every needs! I won't hesistate to do all of them!"
"Snake Princess, I brought you your tea. Just like how you like it..."
"Please leave quietly. The Snake Princess is currently occupied and cannot see an audience."
"My empress, you seems to be slightly fatigued, should I draw a herb bath to soothe your mind and cleanse your body?"
"I'll be on guard by the door if you ever request anything, Snake Princess. I'll be happy to aid you with all of my capabilities...."
You learned and mastered observation haki at a young age as you often went and learned everything that should and shouldn't do around the Pirate Empress. After all, you felt like you owe your life to her.
But that's also when you finally saw through the mask she often wore. She has a deep fear somewhere in her heart that she tried so hard to hide, the same fear that her sisters share with her.
You kept silent about it as you thought it wasn't your place to ask. But after that, you began to see her in a different light.
Boa Hancock is much more valiantly elegant than what you previously thought. And you admire her strong demeanor in hopes that one day, you'll be like her too..
As a Kuja warrior, you strived and hone your skills in hopes of pleasing your Empress even more. You worked harder to be a better version of yourself. You became the best hunter of your tribe while fully adapting to your own snake weapon.
Hancock rarely talk to you, however, she kept you often at her side, doing her bidding.
"What is with that smile on your face?"
"I'm happy, Snake Princess. To be able to prove my worth by serving you, it's the greatest honor..."
Most women would cower under her cold gaze, but you on the other hand, was brave enough to stare back with much admiration, carrying and obeying with a gentle smile on your face. Pure genuine, you didn't fawn over her like how the rest did, nor threw yourself under her feet as she walk pass by.
Everything you do was all voluntary that she didn't even have to use her charms to force you to obey.
Eventually, your obedience lead to Hancock trusting you completely. Becoming her right hand woman, whom she could trust Amazon Lily with. She know that you will never betray her with how much dedicated you are on serving her.
You were too kind. Whenever she looks out on the window of the castle, she would often see you helping out your fellow women with a huge smile on your face. Every requests thrown at your direction, you immediately agreed on, as if rejection is not on your vocabulary.
She knew by then, that she chosen the right person to trust on.
The first time you actually met a man, was when Hancock commanded you to stay back on the island as she sails away with her sisters and the elite warriors of the tribe.
"Snake Princess, why do I have stay here? I am confident in my abilities that I won't be considered as a hinder.."
You pleaded, carefully observing her reactions if ever you annoyed her with your words. To be near Hancock, means that you have to be careful not to anger her to avoid loosing her favor on you.
"You are not ready to sail on the Perfume Yuda yet. So use that strength on keeping this island safe until I return..."
Being often near the snake princess, gave you privilage to lead your fellow warriors whenever she and her sisters are not around. They listen to your instructions carefully and proceed to do their respective chores dedicatedly.
As you were given the task of protecting the island by Hancock herself, you took the initiative of scouting the jungle along side three other woman named Marguerite, Sweet Pea and Aphelandra.
"While we're here, should we perhaps hunt a beast for today's lunch?"
You asked the trio, hoping to bring a good feast for the warriors who scouted the other areas of the island, but before anyone could respond, you all notice smoke coming from the far side of the jungle. Wordlessly, you gave the women a commanding look before running off to the source with them following behind.
And that's how you met the strange man now called Luffy.
You found him beatened and unconcious with mushroom growing on his body. Not knowing his identity before hand, your pity for the injured had allowed him to enter the village.
Allowing Belladona and the rest of the women to tend his wounds, you and Marguerite provided on sewing new clothes identical to his previous tattered ones.
Marguerite embroidered floral patterns on the vest and you sewed a new pair of clean shorts.
Until the elder, Nyon revealed his identity of being a man.
"So this is what a man look like....?"
Unlike the rest of the women who all got defensive on his sudden outburst, you on the other hand could only continue to stare with curiosity.
Because you could clearly see his intentions. He was annoyed with how the rest wanted to pull his balls of gold, how feminine his clothes were and how tense he was when weapons pointed at his direction.
Yet you can see the desperation on his eyes. His desperation to leave the island, and return to his friends, atleast from what you heard him shout.
"Wait, stop...!"
You told the women to cease all actions but it was then, their arrows rained towards his cell, forcing himself to break out.
"He is not a threat!"
"(Name) all men who enters this island must be eliminated. That is the rules given by our ancestors that is upholded for centuries!"
Kikyo scolded you. Reminding you of where your loyalty lies. If your Empress ever finds out that a man entered the island under your supervision, you knew that you'll be the one paying for the consequences.
You feared to see the disappointment, Hancock would send you once she finds out. Hate to have suddenly betrayed her trust of getting fooled by a man whom you allowed to enter in the island. And you hate to disappoint her.
But the women are willing to help you out by pretending that this had never happened. Once you capture the man and kill him, this will all be a forgotten event. Boa Hancock will never know that a man soiled her land with his filt....right?
So with a conflicted thought, you went with the rest to pursue the strawhat wearing man.
Somehow, you found yourself being held hostaged by the same man. At first, you and the other Kuja warriors were all chasing after him through out the village, when all of sudden, he turned around to face you.
Looking through the crowd of women, his eyes landed on to your guarded ones, stretching his arm, he immediately wrapped them around you before running off.
He kidnapped you, atleast that what you thought as he made his way out to the village with you in his arms.
"I need that paper back..."
He was after the paper you found on his tattered clothes. You stared at him warily as your snake slithered from your shoulders to your arm, forming into your weapon. You hoped that you wouldn't be using it against him but you can't avoid taking that risk.
You stared at his impatient form, silently observing his every move. You can tell that he has no intentions of fighting you either.
"You mean this....? What does it do...?"
Curiosity over took your judgement as you pulled out the paper to his field of vision. Seeing the absolute relief on his face made you lower your guard a little. What was the importance of a small piece of paper with a name written on it?
"My friends and I got separated, I need this paper to see them again."
"Who...are you anyways...?"
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy. I'm a pirate..!"
He spoke with a boyish grin on his face that you couldn't help but reprocate. He kept his distance seeing how you weren't comfortable being near a man....yet. He spoke fondly of his crew.
Like how you often spoke about the Snake Princess.
"The Snake Princess rules this island, she's wary of outsiders like you, but once you see through the mask she often wore, you can see how caring she's really is...!"
"I see! You really like the boss of this place, huh..? She must be really nice then."
You didn't realized that you were talking rather eagerly like you knew him for years already until you hear his laughter. Feeling slightly embarrased that you lost your composure, you immediately went to defend yourself.
"D-don't get ahead of yourself, man! Just because I'm talking to you, doesn't mean I'll let you do what you want here... No men are allowed on this island!"
You were already getting attached to him, he doesn't seem to be a threat at all. You thought as you saved him from drowning after his attempt to make a raft.
And before you could even think about helping him escape, the defense warrior group finally found the two of you in which he decided to flee.
By the time, you caught up to him, you knew it was already too late. Hancock was already aware of his presence and had ordered for his capture after he crashed on her chambers when she was bathing.
"Where were you, (Name)?"
You couldn't face her, you could only stand behind her with her sister Marigold on your front.
"Forgive me, Snake Princess... I was out there trying to capture that man..."
Boa Hancock is a rather observative woman. She observes people who falls under her rules. She knows her worth and what she is capable of and use it for her advantage.
Imagine to her slight surprise, you weren't there to greet her return at the end of the red carpet. That was her first suspicion, you never failed to show up first whenever she returns to the Island after weeks on sea.
She got even more suspicious when every woman she came across to lied when she asked of your wherebouts. Their only replied was, you had to hunt down a troublesome monkey that involves the rest of the island's defense troupe.
So when this man appeared, she knew she has to demonstrate a taste of her power to all of the women on the island. You included. She is the Empress, and it is her duty to protect the women under her care. She ought to show an example of how truly vile men are.
You who were oblivious of how truly cruel the world is. Too kind and obedient for her liking yet she couldn't find the heart to tell you off. She wasn't blind to see the adoration on your face whenever she is nearby. Nor she was oblivious to how genuine your actions were. She can see the unwavering loyalty you shown for her.
However she wasn't expecting you to grow attached to Luffy.
She noticed how your behavior shifted to tense and discomfort seeing him fight in that arena.
"What is it, (Name)?"
"Nothing, my empress..."
She could applaud you keeping your emotions in check. However, she found herself staring at you in disbelief when your cool finally broke when Marguerite, Sweet Pea and Aphelandra step in, attempt to save Luffy.
"My apologies, but I was the one who brought him to the village. If anyone deserves to be punished, it should be me. Those three merely followed my orders."
"You know what happens to those who defy me, (Name). Why are you defending the guilty?"
Taking up the courage, you managed to look her directly in the eyes. Those cold and dull hues that holds deeper emotions within. With a deep breath, you gave her your usual smiles.
Your compassionate smile of purity.
"I was the one who allowed permission for him to enter the village, my empress. So I should be the one held accountable. Marguerite, Sweet Pea and Aphelandra did nothing wrong, so please allow me to take their punishment alone.
You pleaded them to be spared. Seeing how you are willing to take the risks of saving the girls including Luffy slightly wavered her resolved.
"....You disappointed me, (Name).."
But she is still the Empress, and she has to show her authority over the island. Knowing full well that her powers could not affect you in any way, she asked a few warriors to take you away. You who looked back at her with a dejected face.
The man wearing a strawhat look angry on your behalf. He fought bravely against her sisters, demanding to set you free as you were innocent from all of this.
"She did nothing wrong! She was only trying to save me!"
Hancock kept her composure as she watched the battle raged on. What was so special about this man that you were willingly to defend him.
You were just too kind that it slightly annoyed her. You should only reserve it to her and her people alone. Your kindness shouldn't be shown to filthy men who will only take advantage of you.
This was the first defiance you've ever done. Hancock gritted her teeth as memories flashed between her eyes, ransacking every single one, yet she didn't remember you showing any disobedience like this before.
Just when she was starting to treasure you.
Only when the battle was over, she finally understood. Luffy was kind in his own way. Is that why you defended him? Because you were aware that he was not like those men who once trespassed the island?
Luffy seems to know the secret she was so desperate of hiding, so does that means that you already know? What do you see in her now?
Only when she was finally alone in her room, was she began breaking down, silent tears fell down as she didn't want her sisters to hear. Having you by her side for years as her closest aide made her conflicted. She only kept you nearby was because of pity.
You losing your mother at such a young age. Your mother who was apart of her crew, died at sea because of her warrior pride to protect the rest. It was by guilt, your mother's death at her ship is what made her take you under her wing.
She watched you grow up into a formidable warrior serving her with nothing but pure genuine adoration. It was nothing like the lust thrown to her way by both genders whenever she was present.
It was a gaze of a child with innocent admiration. You look up to her as a person and not just someone with otherworldy beauty.
Which is why she didn't let you join her crew. Giving excuses that you weren't strong enough to travel the seas on her ship. She didn't want you to see how vicious and filthy this world truly is. Nor for people to take advantage of your kindness.
What will happen if you knew the truth? It was her selfishness that killed your mother. Her selfish orders is what caused your mother to loose her life. Will you still have the same look on your face if you ever find out her slave mark? Or are you already aware of it?
Knowing you for years, no. You would never look at her differently even after she told you her secret. But the truth? It was because of her that you grew up without your mother's tender love and care.
But even so, she gave in with her fears. Through out the years, even she tried hard to push you away with her cold atittude, you still managed to find a place in her heart.
You were patient with her. Serving her with a bright smile that herself couldn't help but grew fond of. You tolerate her bratty attitude and beauty even when she knew that didn't have any affect on you. Only you were the one who can see through her lies and stayed.
But Hancock is a selfish woman, she was drawn to your warmth that she decided to keep you close, Because she was selfish, she only wants to keep your kindness to herself.
Because being around you, she can be a regular person that people never fawn on. Not like a luxurious item that people wanted to have, but a person who has her own feelings and wants.
All she hope is that you would forgive her like how you always do.
