A/n:just some random headcanons ive been thinking about and wanted to post. Some suggested subscorp but not really.

Cassie got heat rashes as a kid and Johnny used to stay up with her at night but now Jacqui stays up with her

Takeda and Cassie are Kung Jins wing men

Takeda and Kung Jin were eachothers first kiss in their teens cus they had the talk of 'if i kissed anyone it would be someone i care about'

After learning that her powers were from Mediterranean decent Cassie put more effort into learning about her ancestors like how Johnny would have when he found out.

They used to take trips to small towns and villages where their family was from

Cassie and Jacqui took a girls roadtrip as Jacqui's batchelorette party cus she had a small wedding so Cass was her only bridesmaid and Kung Jin was Takeda's best man

Kung Jin and Takeda were childhood friends since the Shirai Ryu was reformed

Takeda got the dad talk from Jax but also Cassie when he and Jacqui started dating

Takeda has a tomagotchi that he takes everywhere and leaves with Hanzo when he goes on missions. Kuai Liang now refers to it as his grandchild and no one knows who hes on about except those three

Cassie has her dads nose

Kung Jin doesnt care if its cold after his life as a thief hes gotten used to it so when he saw Liu Kang (or any past revenant) have an extreme reaction to it because they havent felt the cold in a while hes confused for a minute not necessarily about them but himself. He starts seeing more changes in his life because of his past as a thief and also his family problems. He confides in Liu Kang or Kung Lao in this only after a long while of them being concerned in his recent hesitation while doing certain things and bugging him about it till he finally just tells them everything (Liu Kang makes sure the room is extra warm for him).

They never talk about this again

Takeda and Frost have a sibling rivalry

Cassie can bake and she sometimes does with Takeda. She tried to get Frost to do it once but that resulted in her needing a new kitchen sink and a fear of robotic grandmasters

Cassie and kung jin meet up and debrief in all the drama and gossip

Sub-Zero x Apprentice Reader: Father Figure

Young reader is an apprentice under Kuai Liang.

Warning: Your dad is an asshole just for this fic. (If he is irl my condolences) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Evening hits as the ice clan is dismissed from class for today. Training today was smooth, though you were still lacking behind. You didn't worry about it, though. It wasn't like the Grandmaster would be cruel to send you out to battle unprepared.

All your peers were leaving, yet you lacked behind as you weren't that eager to walk all the way home by yourself again. It's an everyday thing for you, but still, you were always paranoid. Even if you did have friends outside of training sessions, no one goes the same way as you.

Glancing around, you spot the Grandmaster doing his own thing, not appearing busy. Surely it wouldn't hurt to ask him, right?

Isn't he supposed to care about his students?

Shyly walking to him - shuffling your boots through the snow - you got your words together for what you'd request.

Kuai sees you approaching and stops what he's doing, the master cryomancer wondering what you were up to. "Greetings, Y/n. Did you need something?"

"Yes, Grandmaster. Could you... walk me home?" You felt yourself shrinking. Now that you've asked, it felt shameful. "If you want- I don't want to bother you. I just don't like walking by myself." The excuses made you feel all the more flustered.

Kuai didn't see such an issue, though. Maybe you could use the company. Besides, he wasn't doing much at the moment. It'd be nice to interact with another student other than Frost for once.

"Very well." He shrugs. It was just that easy.

One new thing he gets to learn about you during the walk is that your village is a little far from the Lin Kuei palace. Dangerous, too. Somehow, you still had a decent attendance.

Safely escorted to your cabin, you stepped on the frozen doormat before you look back at him and bowed. "Thanks for walking with me. Shall I try to bring you some tea or a snack before you go?"

"No thanks." Kuai politely turned down. "Are you here by yourself?"

You frowned and looked to the side. "Err, my dad is inside, but I'm sure he's likely asleep. I shouldn't bother him."

The scarred man's brows narrowed but he wasn't going to press it too much. "How come he doesn't walk you to training?"

"He's busy like all of us." You answered.

"Hm. Well, I'll come get you tomorrow." That sounds more like a command than offer.

Still, you had to think for a second. Anything unplanned or unusual is inconvenient, something you picked up from behavior.

"Be here early." You tell your Grandmaster, and he nods before walking away from your cabin, returning to his palace.

---Next Morning---

You've woken up and already did some morning stretches.  You hurried, yet quietly, packed up your items for today. Kuai Liang should be almost here right about now as you two planned. You just hope your dad wasn't awake at this important time-

"Well, good morning to you." You hear the same patronizing voice.

"Morning." You responded, walking to the door and not looking back until he stops you.

"Don't you leave the house a little later? Why are you leaving this early?" The side of your eye could see him cross his arms, staring dead at you.

"So I could start training early." You say with an unintentional attitude.

"If you don't want to be near me, you can just say that."

You look at your father with absurdity. "I didn't even say that, I just said I was going to train early."

He nods and walks to the couch. "Right. You keep talking to me with that tone."

"Whatever, dad." You mutter without thinking. Not such a good move.

You flinched at the loud sound behind you and you didn't know if he slammed something off the table or flipped it over. Your eyes remained glued on the door.

"Just get the hell out of my house. Go!"

Your lips quivered and you turned the doorknob, opening the door and completely froze up when you see your mentor right there.

His inarticulate eyes fall on you, and though your face was shocked, he could see the distress.

It was a brief silence. You could tell that your father behind you was also surprised as well, before he spoke up to the powerful man.

"Grandmaster Kuai Liang. What a surprise you're at my house at this time... Did you need my daughter?"

Kuai glares at your dad with hidden judgement. "I'm here to make sure she walks safely to her academy. Something you are unable to do. And I'd appreciate if you don't treat my pupil like that."

The second Sub-zero gently guides you to his side as if protecting you from your own kin's foul vibe.

"It's nice meeting you, Mr. L/N. I hope next time, you better yourself." Not that you noticed really, but his tone held a threat to your dad.

Shutting the door behind you two, Kuai holds your hand and guides the way.

"Is he always like that?" He questions you before his tone gets darkly concerning. "Does he put his hands on you?"

"Not anymore. I'm too old for that." You groaned. "But I don't know his issue. He just... He's never happy."

"And that gives him the reason to treat you like your beneath him? That's not how a father treats his daughter."

You already knew that. You were just unlucky in this life. Noticing your frown, he squeezes your hand slightly.

"I'll train you to be the best cryomancer this realm has, and your father will regret treating you as he does. And I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you." The ice man promises you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fun fact: I was originally gonna make this a Raiden fic but I rarely write about the grandmasters.

I've been trying to spread the love to as many characters as i can and I'm willing to write for any mk character (except meat please. Skin required)

Aside from skalet I've had no inspiration to write for female mk kharacter but will write male or female reader with female kharacters.

🦂 Another Raiden problem, there's so much to do, especially as Grandmaster, also struggles to fully regress alone :(

⛄️ But with Hanzo’s help, he regresses to about 3-5

🦂 ^ Has also regressed to babyspace, but only when he gets flashbacks of his (horrible) childhood

⛄️ Kuai started regressing with Johnny as his main cg (they're actually friends in cannon!!)

🦂 ^ Johnny saw how stressed Kuai Liang was, and suggested the coping mechanism

⛄️ Kuai shared his regression after Hanzo regressed with him the first time, he didn't want Hanzo to feel awkward or embarrassed around his ‘rival���

🦂 Kuai Liang has a difficult time fully regressing when he's alone, and needs someone with him

⛄️ Luckily, regressed Kuai is rarely ever aline, whether he has Hanzo, Bi-Han, or even Frost

🦂 Hanzo started caretaking when Takeda started regressing

⛄️ It was actually really hard when Hanzo started caretaking for the first time, especially because it was Takeda

🦂 After all these years, he is still always reminded of his son, and now he's watching after the boy he swore himself he'd treat as any other student (although he basically ended up adopting Takeda, and no, Takeda was not a replacement for Satoshi)

⛄️ Hanzo does, however, really enjoy caregiver, and was very excited the first time Kuai Liang ever regressed around him

🦂 He's a very proud Papa, and honestly kinda misses the Dad life

⛄️ Hanzo is extremely . . . over protective of Kuai Liang

🦂 If he had it his way, Kuai Liang wouldn't escape his cuddles at all >:(

🦂 Don't worry, both are fine, and Kuai gets a ton of cuddles and kisses after

⛄️ Hanzo's main caretaker names are Bàba when he's smaller, like babyspace, and Papa the rest of the time

🦂 Both have tried to call the other (correct me if I'm wrong) Otòsan before and both times it's made Hanzo cried

⛄️ Kuai Liang's main nicknames are Snowflake, Bunny, and Baby Boy

🦂 Main babysitters are Johnny, Bi-Han, Frost, and sometimes Kenshi

⛄️ Although Kuai Liang doesn't really need babysitters most times, unless he request it

🦂 Hanzos a busy person, but he'll cut meetings short if Kuai Liang slips, and he's very good at multitasking with his work while Kuai’s small

⛄️ He'll do most of his papers on the bed or divide his desk in half so Kuai Liang can color for an hour or so

🦂 Kauai's pretty okay with it, he likes being able to sit next to or on Hanzo's lap and do his own work (which Hanzo always loves to praise)

⛄️ Kuai’s actually a very energetic kiddo

🦂 Really likes outside time, and doing craft activities

⛄️ Outside time is specifically for the Lin Kuei temple, he likes the snow

🦂 He's fine walking the gardens and looking at the fish, but he has much more making snow angels and building snowmen

⛄️ It's not uncommon to see both Grandmasters outside in the snow

🦂 Nor is it uncommon to see Kuai Liang order Hanzo around during their play time (they have To make good snowmen, Hanzo, not just three weirdly shaped circles on top of each other)

⛄️ He also really likes different crafts, whether that's coloring, or finger painting, or stuff like that

🦂 Does prefer coloring because he can give Hanzo his pretty drawings

⛄️ Only a very few select drawing get to go up in their house because Kuai is embarrassed someone will catch onto his regression

🦂 He also likes wrestling or play fighting a bit, but mostly because it ends in giggle fits and a cuddle pile

⛄️ Hanzo is really good at controlling his strength, and he'll never let Kuai Liang win >:(

🦂 Mostly because he makes Kuai think he's won, and then will overpower him so he can pep his face with kisses and squish him in a hug

⛄️ ^ Kuai firmly believes that's cheating but whatever 😒

🦂 Hanzo is slightly reluctant to let Kuai cuddle or touch his Teddy while Kuai is small

⛄️ Kuai doesn't play with it often, but sometimes he wants to play with his Papa's toys and would pretty please like to hold Teddy

🦂 Hanzo let's him, but keeps an incredi close eye on him

⛄️ It does make him really happy thar Kuai is very obviously much gentler with teddy than his other stuffies

🦂 Kuai doesn't actually have many stuffies, but he'd rather cuddle Papa instead (his personal heater)

⛄️ Sometimes Kuai Liang gets really bad memories, especially of his childhood

🦂 His childhood was . . . extremely terrible, to say the very least

⛄️ It makes him feel really small, and scared, and vulnerable

🦂 He'll hide and cry into his Bàba's chest for comfort, refusing to leave his side

⛄️ Hanzo will gently rock him, scratch his back while he places soft kisses on Kuai Liang's forehead

🦂 He's very good at comforting Kuai, and makes sure to give his baby some extra loving during these times <3

⛄️ Kuai Liang actually really likes having playdates with others, especially with Frost and Bi-Han (it's also how he rekindle his relationship between the two)

🦂 Hanzo was cacious, especially at first, but he actually does enjoy the friendship he's made with them

⛄️ Frost very much loves her baby, but puts up a good fight for Hanzo some times (she's a big girl!! She doesn't need a babysitter, and neither does Kuai!)

🦂 Bi-Han likes cuddling with Kuai, but Is also a bit too aggressive in play wrestling (one of the brothers favorite activities together)

⛄️ Kuai Liang is Hanzo's main priority when he's small (he's his main priority In general, but knows he needs him now when he's tiny)

🦂 . . . That does not mean that Kuai Liang can just freeze him in place when he says no to something >:/ (bullstuffies)
