It’s only getting worse. It’s more of a gimmick now. I used to love hip hop and rap. But look what the Industry or corporations have done to it. Most of the women are over sexualized, Cardi B’s, Megan Stallion, Ice spice, all promoting being promiscuity like it’s cool. The men are even worse, they’re now getting promoted and paid to glorify drugs, and death. I can’t listen to a song without hearing women called ho*es. Even Kanye as brilliant as he is and who has a daughter has several times referred to women as only b*t he’s or ho*es. Sorry for the rant, but it seems like the world has gone mad. If you say anything you’re deemed “not really black”. Like we can’t see the damage it’s doing. We can do better.

A strange tcf fic idea that I will never write because I'm not too confident of my English skills

Imagine an alternative universe, where KRS wasn't cursed and somehow he meets KRS!cale and his family

So, we have two parallels

- KRS who was surrounded by love and grew up without any traumas (I'll name his KRS 1)

AND

- KRS who was cursed, the KRS that we know (and him KR!cale because he is in cale's body)

Imagine KRS!cale's family looking to a gentle and incredible smiling teenager and wondering what happened to KRS!cale (when they realize they're like "oh")

Imagine KRS!cale looking at this version of himself and blaming himself because he can't save his family like KRS 1 did, the reaction of his family discovering that the most part of cale's personality is because of his traumas.

(this is exactly the type of angst I love!! But a "happy' ending with his family comforting him and he overcoming his traumas a bit)

no es por ser un comentario de youtube, pero es cuatico ver esto y compararlo al genero urbano de hoy en dia.

los panteras centraron siempre su arte en las comunidades que hicieron lo que el hip hop fue en chile en su nacimiento: la pobla y el lumpen, en comparacion con el arribismo y aspiracionismo del genero hoy en día. por algo se pusieron panteras negras

obviamente es porque las generaciones de principios de los 90 en chile todavia estaban influenciadas por los grandes actos de mediados de los 80 en usa como krs1 y public enemy, grupos mucho más involucrados politicamente, a diferencia de hoy en día que la musica llega con influencia inmediata y estamos en una epoca que nunca supero la muestra de opulencia de la segunda ola de gangsta rap que le quito cualquier consciencia que tuviera en su nacimiento.
