Still think it’s hilarious that Kratos looked at Faye, a woman that regularly wielded a magic godkilling boomerang axe with ease, performed magical warding spells, and was considered a revered warrior and respected entity among other respected beings, and still thought: “yeah, that’s a normal mortal human person”.

anyone else think kratos and faye are kind of echoed in surtr and sinmara? surtr is a fire giant, kratos is associated with fire. sinmara is an ice giant, faye is associated with ice. both kratos and faye have some degrees of control over their respective elements via the weapons they use. also, according to the mural atreus and angrboda saw, surtr and sinmara battled each other before growing close and falling in love, while faye states that she and kratos nearly took each other's heads off at first meeting. also 2x surtr carrying sinmara's heart inside his chest and sinmara carrying his heart inside her chest, while faye tells kratos that she will always be a part of him, and he will always be a part of her

Yet somehow, they have felt the burdens and pains of one another, drawing the two individuals into a deep sense of love and comfort. Neither ask of each other's origins, why would they when moments of their stricken faces, heavy hearted eyes, and scarred ridden bodies holding on to each other was enough to relate and better for their bond to grow even stronger? They had each other, and that was more than enough. And when they do know of each others past, secrets, and sins, the memories of warmth they shared those many nights ago still burn brighter than ever.
