Still think it’s hilarious that Kratos looked at Faye, a woman that regularly wielded a magic godkilling boomerang axe with ease, performed magical warding spells, and was considered a revered warrior and respected entity among other respected beings, and still thought: “yeah, that’s a normal mortal human person”.

Since I finally have a day off i thought I’d practice on Faye’s hair once again! Don’t mind my day makeup lol I’m just focusing on the hair today, I’m going to a con about an hour from where I am in a month, and I’ve decided to once again cosplay as Faye for when I go (I love her and honestly she’s the only cosplay I have haha) but I forgot just how complex her hair actually is and this took me I kid you not, like an hour to do. I also chopped a good chunk of my hair back in January but now it’s mainly all back and it grew fairly quickly (thanks mom for the genetics) Now that my hair is Long enough, I wanna start making more cosplay videos of her again! I also literally live in the woods so I’d love to make more videos outside at some point, if you guys have any cosplay video ideas let me knowww :))

Anyways this is the result of the hair! Ft: my axe because why not and also peace signs (I know this is cringey pls let me live in peace with my cringe)

Laufey can’t remember a time before Thor. Logically, she knows that she had a life—a normal life, even. One where she laughed with her friends and spent time with her family and had all the petty, beautiful conflict that could only occur in times of peace. 

She can't remember it, though. After Odin betrayed the Jötnar, and after Thor—she had to lock away those idyllic memories for her own safety and sanity. If she thought too long about it, she would cry, and if she cried, she would die. 

There were once thousands of them, then hundreds, and then a handful. She wishes she could say it was because they were able to escape, but in reality, it was because she was too slow to save them: for who could outrace a lightning strike?

Twelve years into the slaughter, Odin breached the gates of Jötunheim. She’s still not sure how he did it—maybe Týr cracked under the torture, maybe Mimir deduced a solution to save his own skin, or maybe Odin figured it out on his own. Regardless, he found a crack, and he sent the storm inside. 

To her shame, Laufey was not there. But she dreamed of it. She felt the fire blistering her skin, and she choked on the ash of the Ironwood, the one safe place they had left, and when she jerked out of sleep, it was too late. She laid there, on her cot, staring at the sky, and realized that the only thing left she could claim was vengeance. 

Months later, worn and weary, she washed up on the shores of a decimated land. The few remaining locals were frightened to see her, and they were even more frightened when she finally was able to communicate her request. Still, they pointed her to an abandoned temple, more rubble than sanctuary. It was exactly as Týr described, if significantly more run down than in his stories. 

There, Laufey lit a fire, slit her palm, and let her blood drip into the flames. The smoke rose up, choking out the sky, and Laufey knelt down to pray to a foreign god. 

“I seek the Ghost of Sparta,” she said, into the quiet. “I need to slay a pantheon.”

I completely understand Kratos why he fell in love with Faye

Thinking about Faye and Kratos’ language differences. Kratos was wandering around the Norse wilderness for like 70 years before meeting Faye but was avoiding humans, so its impossible to say how much Norse he knew by then. 

But I love the idea of them creating some sort of rudimentary makeshift language of gestures/signs. Pointing at objects and saying thier respective words for it. Maybe creating a hybrid language of Greek and Norse like modern day Spanglish.

Kratos obviously eventually learns to speak Norse, but he definitely learned what was necessary to communicate and not much extra stuff. It would explain why he never uses contractions and why he sometimes doesn’t pick up on people’s sarcasm. Like people learning English not understanding figures of speech or idioms.
