Abt victors being complex - that's why my personal unpopular headcanon is that most of them didn't have positive feelings about Katniss or Peeta. Because let's be real for a moment, even if you're the nicest person in the world or the most broken and beaten down by the Capitol and the Games: you would think "why wasn't I enough? Why didnt people care enough about me to riot? Why do I have to go through this hell again? Why did they get to break the rules?" And tbh, KP's naivety as victors, from that perspective, would be absolutely grating, they never really seem to Get It until its too late and everyone else has to pay for their mistakes.

katniss and peeta never had to go through the normal Victor Experience with the pain of mentoring or victor prostitution or the companionship within the victors. they just don’t Get It, like you said. and that’s not their fault!! the capitol shows these people hanging off capitol citizens arms, oohing and awing at everything in their path every year, fully convincing everyone that the victors are happy. that they want to be here, away from their home and families hanging off of strange men and women’s arms. they depict the perfect victors, who smile and wave and sign autographs. victors like chaff and haymitch get about five seconds of screen time before being pushed aside because they’re not interesting, they’re not the focus, they’re not complying with the image we are depicting. they don’t conform with the images we are showing to our citizens.

i truly believe that there was no way all of the victors liked katniss and peeta. actually, i don’t think many of the victors liked katniss and peeta. as in, there was probably like two that genuinely liked them. and also, from their perspective, these are the reason they’re going back into the arena!! none of the victors wanted to do that!!!

we really need more complex victors representation in this fandom…

still not over the fact korn murdered porsche and chay's family and then planted some lousy gambler as their guardian who ruined their lives and put them into constant debt that drove porsche to risk his health and life street fighting. it's insane. especially bc in the later episodes arthee showed a scary lack of care towards porsche, calling him naive and stupid, trying to extort him using his dead family, he did not give a shit. people don't just change like that overnight, he didn't just get evil and uncaring, that stuff was already there. and he was picked to look after two traumatized children??

korn must have done that on purpose, either to put porsche in a constantly vulnerable state he could later exploit, or to keep him busy so he'd never have the time or capacity to think too much about his family's past. there's no way he didn't know.

Porsche takes a deep breath and then lets it and his scent out, his pheromones swirling through the unknown alphas, soothing ruffled instincts. This is part of what makes Porsche so good at his job. kp questions and my weird theories.

I was gonna tag this with secrets but most of these are not technically secrets, just burning questions I want answers to.

What was Kimlock Holmes looking for? He had no idea about the Kittisawsds so what other threads was he following about his Mafia dad that were bad enough that he thought he could use them against Korn if he needed to?

Did Nampheung use fainting as a tactic like possums do? I refuse to believe the that woman who was bold enough to leave the Mafia life is so fragile that she collapses like a sack of potatoes every time anything happens. Does she have a medical condition that leads to anxiety-induced fainting? That would explain why instead of trying to revive her, they just hold her up at an awkward angle every time. (I’m kidding but only sort of. Each time she faints it immediately changes the tension in the situation, making it less dangerous for her and her kid)

Why did Papa Theerpanyakul suddenly decide it was time for Nampheung to come back to the family? The timeline is definitely wonky, but Chay would have been @ toddler age, so it’s not like his birth should have been the reason.

In Korn’s version he says “You know someone is out to get the family” implying immediate danger for them out in the world but in Gun’s version(true version y'all -fight me), Pat says that Papa Theerpanyakul is having his family killed off(is this a translation issue? I don’t remember it from my first viewing but I could have missed it.) It would explain why there was nobody other than Thee to take care of Porsche and Chay. If that was the case though, he was weirdly calm about it(sure he was angry but not terrified like he should have been -did he think they wouldn’t kill him for some reason?)

On top of that, why did Papa T take Nampheung in after he killed her family in the first place? Was it his Odin-Loki moment? Did he plan on using her in some way, maybe by marrying her off to one of his sons? I think it’s fanon that her family were Mafia bigwigs but it would explain why she was so important. 

Does Korn actually have any health issues at all or was this just an extremely long game to eliminate Gun and anybody that wasn’t going to be loyal to Kinn? And if so, I’m assuming that Porsche’s arrival sped things up. He was trying his best to send them on a long, long vacation once Porsche started to figure things out. I mean I could see the doctor giving him a “you’re not young any longer, you need to take better care of yourself” speech and him deciding to go from there and start getting things in order for the day when he actually did need to step down. 

What do the different colors of the bodyguard pins mean? Are they random? Are they based on seniority?  

And leading from that, why were the main family bodyguards so bad at their jobs? Other than the ones that were sleeping with the family members or hanging out watching series and partying with the family members I mean.

The minor family bodyguards are in a frickin' kill box and the main family guards are the ones that get slaughtered? My theory is that it was because Chan wasn’t actually any good at being in charge of the bodyguards. He was great as head bodyguard to Korn, and he obviously was kickass at bodyguarding itself but he was not equipped to organize or train other bodyguards. There are signs of it throughout the series but that shootout was a goddamned embarrassment of poor planning on the part of the main family. I know we all love Chan, but just no.

No but this is one of my favourite things! We get so little of Vegas and Macau together but when we do they're hanging out, Vegas is asking him about school, they're causing mischief together, it's delightful

Vegas wants Macau to be involved in his life and finds the most benign ways to achieve that. Macau loves being a menace and most importantly loves being part of his brother's schemes! It means they get to spend time together, and he can do something to help Vegas in return for Vegas always protecting him

He knows these are small asks, and he knows he isn't getting the whole story about why he's doing these things. But it doesn't matter because he trusts Vegas and wants to help him anyway, the fact that fucking with Porsche or Pete is fun is just a bonus

I think Vegas is walking a fine line: he wants to protect Macau from some of the darker realities of their life, but if he cuts him out entirely he'll only be resentful. And more than any of that he loves his little brother and wants to spend time with him. And if we want to make it sad he wants Macau to spend as little time as possible alone in the house with their father

We have no idea how much time they get to spend with each other usually, so Vegas finding ways to include Macau in his work while continuing to shield him AND allow them to have FUN together while he does all that is so special. Brothers, man. BROTHERS!!!!

If you guys hadn't been so nice Amie would not have learned that people don't always mean him harm. He would've torn up Nio to take up some of his codes/hunted them himself. N' then he would've puppetized either Sam or Mark and an anon or two to keep as friends, since his doll friends were 'puppets' too, that's the only way he knew how to play.

...Then when people tried to talk or do anything about it Amie was going to try to eat Sonny to understand how humans work better because if he ate his friends he wouldn't have friends!

I don't have a lot really that was planned or inmind for this since it was cut Very early in favor of teaching Amie to be...Amie! not proto or kinito, but himself. I liked it sooo much better of him being a sweet, confused thing instead of a slightly malicious but teachable creature.

It could've been a whole thing of getting him to let everything go and learn morals and how to make real friends, but you guys taught him morals so early on that absolutely none of this crossed his mind. (puppetizing people BRIEFLY crossed his mind when that one anon reset Mark but everyone's reactions taught him oh. No. that's a bad thing to do.)
