Let's celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend by talking about the first Japanese Vocaloid ever, MEIKO!

MEIKO celebrated her 20th anniversary earlier this month. It's pretty crazy to think that we've been making the silly computer software sing for so long, but here we are. She still sounds great, too, even if she is supposedly difficult to work with. If you know what you're doing, she's awesome. (My favorite MEIKO original is "Kowase Kowase." It really takes advantage of her lower range and makes her sound fierce.)

You know the drill. We have four very similar--but still slightly different--designs to choose from.

This is my new baby, thinking of naming her "Yukina Kowase"

She's an MHA OC

At the time of which MHA begins, she's a 2nd year in class 2-A

She's currently an intern of Mirko, and as such Yukina's fighting style very closely resembles hers.

Her Quirk "Adrenaline Surge" gives her a boost in strength in accordance to her adrenaline. The higher the adrenaline boost, the stronger she gets.

Her quirk effectively has 5 phases.

Phase 0 - Passive Activation: Whilst the fullest extent of the technique can only be activated via stress-response, there is a base level of strength that can be acquired without a boost of adrenaline (About 1.5x).

Phase 1 - "Fight or Flight": The initial surge of adrenaline offers a moderate strength boost (ranging from 2-3x) and slightly sharpens reflexes, allowing her to make quick defensive moves.

Phase 2 - "Survival": If the threat persists, her adrenaline builds further, granting increased strength (ranging from 4-6x) along with some pain resistance, allowing them to keep fighting despite minor injuries.

Phase 3 - "Hysteria": In extreme danger, she experiences a massive strength boost (8x) but at the cost of stamina and control. This phase could trigger instinct-driven movements, with little regard for their safety. This phase is highly dangerous to be in for extended periods of time of course.

Pseudo Phase 4 - Overdrive: once in phase 2 or phase 3 she can temporarily boost her strength twofold for one attack at a time. Each attack causes a large amount of stress on the body.

Her costume was created to support her body as much as possible, due to an incident with her quirk as a child that left her critically injured.

I can't believe it took me so long to realize they were the same person

If it weren't for Maria mentioning her last name, I wouldn't notice.

My headcanon is that because of how bad she felt about everything Kowase had done to her, that her health began to decline

But once Kowase "disappeared" and after she had her talk with Maria she was finally able to feel calm and safe

she's starts recovering and enjoying school life again, which allowed his health to improve and with it his appearance

Let's hope she stays that way. . .
