Since it's Valentine's Day, I'm going to share my main ships for different Kamen Rider Series. Going from newest to oldest.

1. Ace x Neon! Even though there has been a drought of content for them lately and the thing with Neon trying to frame Ace, they are still the only ship I have for this series.

2. Sakura x Hana! I know their relationship is considered sisterly and there's no chance of them being canon but I loved the heck out of their interactions.

3. Rintaro x Mei! Ngl they are the main reason why I continued to watch Saber.

4. Aruto x Izu! I swear if we don't get Aruto making Izu genuinely laugh at some point, I'm going to be even more depressed than I already am!

Didn't have any ships for Zi-O so...

5. The BEST MATCH, Sento x Banjo! The closet to canon gay ship in Kamen Rider History! One of my favorite scenes was when Sento was weirdly jealous of Another Build hugging Banjo in Zi-O

6. Emu x Kiriya! How could I not ship them with the number of times Emu has ridden Kiriya on screen? (If you get the joke, you get the joke)

I couldn't get invested enough in Ghost to remember the main cast names let alone come up with a ship so.....

7. Chase x Kiriko! I know Kiriko is canonically married to Shinnosuke with a kid but this will always be my main ship for Drive!

8. Kouta x Mai! I know they have each other’s company in a paradise of their own making but how are they not bored out of their minds on that planet?

9. Haruto x Koyomi! Let’s be real, they were basically married the whole series.

10. I'm ending this with my very first Kamen Rider Ship, Ryusei x Tomoko!

This is a different anon, but i want to continue on the points you've said about Alucard, the new fandoms interpretation of him, and hellsing and correcting some stuff. First of all thank you for actually giving good points on why youre not fond of the recent fans of the fandom, and i agree with most of the points you make. New Alucard fans are so weird because they will objectify him and miss his entire character completely and or water it down,,and for the "Vladdy big bara tiddies mm" people, whats up with that mandela effect? He was shown shirtless and he was hairless in both anime and manga, you guys should try actually watching the anime next time. Not sure where to start on the Alucard x integra part because of how jarringly popular it is, but "almost just as bad as aluseras" isn't accurate to me because atleast Aluseras is legal, Alucard and integra aren't (they met when she was 12, seras was 19). I personally dislike both, but the hate is more personal towards Alucard x integra because the only people who ship it are the people who heavily mischaractarize the both of them, and Alucard mischaractarization kills me, i can't care less about integra (sorry op) but even i out of all people know it's bad for her. The entire organization exists because they hate each other, yes, Alucard may not directly hate integra, but her grandfather is abraham for fucks sake. Why in the world would integra betray both her grandfather and father just to date the "monster" that they spent all their lives trying to defeat. The literal Dracula x any Hellsing member will never work, Alucard only works for the organization out of respect for abraham after he (a human) managed to defeat him, and his job is to serve the family and any master who comes after, which right now is integra. There is no romantic chemistry at all, it's his job. (Sorry for the ramble op, theres just too many reasons why this ship sucks ass) i think the abridged ruined a generation by forcing it on everyone. For your second point, Alucard and seras weren't canonically said to have a father/daughter relationship by the author, but some writers who worked on Ultimate, and even so they said they were unsure (correct me if im wrong pls!), but seras has pip anyways so it obviously won't be anything more. I personally only like Alumina because its the most canon with Alucard, althought it's left very vague so we don't fully know, kouta hirano has stated that Alucards story is more accurate on Draculas part rather than Vlads, which means he most probably loves mina. "He was in his girl form the entire time in WW2" it wasn't actually the entire time, in a short backstory shot, there was Alucard (with his normal red coat shown, no hat or glasses tho) shown next to young walter (same as the dawns), he turned into a girl to prove a point to walter after they arrived in the melliunium base (walter asking "wheres your form" to Alucard, indicating that it may be a first time thing") but the dawn is unfinished so we wont know if he changes between forms, but he was still shown in his male form in 1944. For people who read the last post, the bonus book op is reffering about is the official hellsing guide book (im guessing since you mentioned it has no translation, i recently got a hold of it and im currently working on a translation myself) And yes KH was a hentai artist, the original Hellsing oneshot (Legends of the vampire hunter) was actually a hentai too, easier to find translated than most of his older work. And for that last part, you're real for that i support you op (again sorry for all the rambling and thank you so much if you read!!)

I won't stand for the Sir Integra slander here but thank you for correcting me on the Hellsing lore anon!

And yes, I was talking about the guide book. Obviously anon, but getting a translation of that would be amazing, there's so much content we're missing out on from that ;-;

i really feel like kouta's loss of taste/appetite has such an impact. i know that multiple other riders have lost taste/the ability to eat, but for kouta it feels so heavy to me. it's just one thing after another after another. he's harbored so much grief that it's eating him alive but he has to remain hopeful and act on his hopes for the future for the sake of the survival of others. but he's still so young. he's only 20 and he's never experienced the world and he doesn't really know what it means to be an adult fully, and yet he sits in a cafe in an evacuated city mulling over a bowl of food he can't even bear to eat. the only thing he can rely on to keep him from becoming malnourished is the lockseeds. he's slowly losing his humanity and his connections to the people around him and the world he grew up in. becoming a god only makes it all the more heart-wrenching as he's given power beyond the imagination but also heavy responsibilities. he's not the person he thought he'd be. he's not working a normal job and helping out his sister. he's not going to his friends' dance competitions. he's not hanging out with his friends and eating parfait. he's not human and it's so isolating and scary. a scene that i often think about is in the drive x gaim crossover, where kouta immediately wants to return to helheim planet without seeing any of his friends, and it's not because he does not care for them but it's just hard. it's hard to know that you'll outlive them and you'll always have to say goodbye and one day there will be a last goodbye. even though mai is there to support him, kouta's feelings still manifest and eat at him as he accepts his reality. it's all just tragic.

Riders in Kombat - Fruit vs. Thunder 1 - MK X Kamen Rider

Earth's Kamen Riders were all leading their respective lives as they saw fit after a year of fighting enemies on a weekly or daily basis, when strange creatures began appearing and attacking indiscriminately.

or Mortal Kombat karakters fight Kamen Riders.

A/N: A self-indulgent idea that sprung from the question of "Who wins in a fight, Raiden, god of Thunder or Kamen Rider Gaim?"

Special shoutout to @dangerouscommiesubversive for answering some anons who asked about Mortal Kombat vs Kamen Rider related questions (its my cousin, the other user of this blog).

Kouta was simply going on his business on the new planet he created when he felt something was invading his domain.

He was able to get glimpses of the life he left on Earth as Zawame's armored Riders used the powers given by the Helheim forest to protect the city, the country, and the world as a whole. He was even able to power up Zack's Jimber arms despite them being lower class lockseeds, and were weaker than his or Kaito's have been.

"Kouta, what's going on?" Mai asked, concerned.

"You feel it too?"

"It's trying to eat our planet."

Suddenly, multiple zippers appeared near them. Both former humans took a risk and glanced down at the opening the zippers created as the lockseeds' respective fruits descended to it.

There both former humans saw the chaos that surrounded their former home planet. Literal lines between dimensions appeared on the streets of Zawame as unknown creatures indiscriminately attacked civilians.

"Kouta…"

"You know we can't, Mai." Kouta shook his head. "We risk having the Helheim forest invade Earth if we meddle in their affairs too much."

"But…"

"Interesting, a power unknown to me."

"What would you have us do?"

"Capture those people who transformed using fruits and bring them to me."

"Someone's attempting to reach for the forbidden fruit," Kouta frowned. "I can't turn a blind eye to this."

"If you're going there, bring some of the Helheim's fruits to them," Mai suggested. "I feel like we are going to need every help we can get."

Kouta waived his hand and weaved himself a small basket where he stored a few of Helheim's fruits.

"Be careful, Kouta."

"I will."

Kouta teleported from his planet, via opening a zipper, to Earth but his surroundings were unfamiliar to him.

"Who dares trespass Earthrealm's Jinsei?!" A commanding voice demanded.

"T-trespass! You're the one invading my world!" Kouta replied indignantly.

"Japanese?" The voice questioned. "Perhaps an Earthrealmer?"

Suddenly a lightning strike occurred indoors and a man wearing a triangular straw hat appeared before Helheim's god.

"You're no Earthrealmer!" The man that appeared through lightning growled. "Begone from this place vile creature."

"V-vile?!" Came another of Kouta's indignant reaction. "I'll have you know I was once human!"

"Your lies will deceive no man, to the Netherrealm with you!" The man exclaimed. "You face Raiden, god of Thunder."

Sensing an attack, Kouta had forgone his usual transformation routine and materialized his Kiwame arms around him as a banana-themed spear and an orange-themed sword appeared in his hand.

"Peculiar weapons will not save you."

"Let's see about that!"

Raiden vowed to send the creature that looked human to the Netherrealm as quickly as he could. It appeared that dimension was fusing with another, and this time he cannot count on the Justice League's assistance, as they do not exist in this dimension.

Try as he might to search for the Justice League but he could not find them.

According to Takeda's reports, there were heroes in the land of the Rising Sun called Kamen Riders and Sentai, masked people who fought this dimension's various threats.

They were however urban legends with no way of validating them as fact or fiction.

As Raiden absentmindedly fought the creature, he couldn't help but admire the creature's kombat. This one was strong, strong enough to rival him, the god of Thunder.

"Kiwami Au Lait!"

Suddenly bananas erupted from the ground and sent Raiden flying to the Jinsei's roof. He had not expected this creature to be matching him in every aspect, he hadn't even expected that he, as someone who wasn't holding back, to be matched by this unfamiliar creature.

Raiden shook his head before he sent multiple bolts of electricity to his opponent, all of which were blocked by a melon-themed shield.

Kiwi-themed chakrams were then thrown at the thunder god, which was swatted away easily.

"Ichigo charge!"

A huge strawberry appeared before Raiden before it barraged him with multiple strawberry projectiles that couldn't defend at once or else he'd destroy the Jinsei.

Raiden needed to be on the offensive. He cannot stay on the defensive. He decided to taunt the creature into following him.

"I must laud you for trespassing my domain to attack me in an attempt to destabilize Earthrealm's champions," Raiden stated as he slowly descended from the ceiling. "You are one of the better warriors under Shao Kahn's thumb. However you are still weak for resorting to underhanded tactics, if you truly believe you can best a god, then follow me and we fight fairly."

"I don't have time for this!" Kouta growled as he teleported away from the cave.

"Peculiar."

at first, he got shocked (i mean he never had a first kiss before so) but he get used to it

For him, he really loves your soft, pink plump lips

he really loves about you, especially your soft hearted side

For you, you love his height because he's a bit small (you're consider as 5'11 person) and you love to tease him to make him flustered even more. And you also love his sea, blue hair especially his personality (like him)

you really love him so much, you don't want to let him go

Takatora: If Sid is still alive, I don't think he'd survive the weather of Dr. Hojo and Inspector Tomari.

Well... I don't think Kotaro's reckless enough to confront someone as dangerous as "Scorpio" by himself. He's one of the Kyuurangers that actually try to hold onto the brain cells that the team has.

Also... Tsukasa's hypocrisy, wow. Sir, weren't you the Rider that caused a war between the Riders and Sentai? A fake one, sure, but still. And then your boyfriend started a real one over it...

Aside from that... I guess it's plausible lol? Idk how to react tbh

Frankly, of if I were to list media where 60 to 99% of the cast were female, regardless of the protagonist's gender, the list would probably be AT LEAST 3 times as long, if not longer, due to just how much anime, manga and Japanese media I love falls into that category.

Regarding the "Buffa did nothing wrong" ask

Hmm, it seems like it's a reaction to those individuals who genuinely believe that Buffa didn't make any mistakes, as it recently cropped up on twitter, even after the other anon listed out some of the wrongs.

Cos the ask barely had any punctuation my autistic brain gets confused tryna figure out what they tryna say.

But that aside...

Talking about the certain twitter post, it DOES boggles my mind at how some Buffa stans kept insist that Micchi never done anything bad/wrong while also saying Kei/Ace being bad characters for doing the things Micchi also had done.

I mean, anyone can like which ever chara they want. Like i stan Kei/Ace and I know their characters had flaws. But that doesn't mean I can't love them still despite the flaws.

Smth I notice abt younger fandom nowadays like the moment a character did smth bad they be like denounce the character completely, even if the chara used to be their fav. Well its either that or they try to pretend that those flaws x exist.

And anyway part of the reason i post that Michi post earlier was due to the recent bad takes I've been seeing abt Ace. And i still had grudges over all the unnecessary hate on Keiwa during the Bujin arc. cos yes the more i look at it the more i remember how fandom had treated Mitsuzane in the past. And that made me recall all the parallels between Keiwa and Mitsuzane and their relationship with Ace + Tsumuri and Kouta/Takatora + Mai, and how the things Kekera did to Keiwa was quite similar to what Ryoma did to my baby Mitcchy.

While I see Michinaga's parallel with Kaito, I don't remember ppl treat Kaito like how they do for Buffa (tho to be fair, Kaito > Michinaga any day)

2014, when I found Kamen Rider Wizard, Fourze, Go-Busters and some other tokusatsu. Back then, I wasn’t as intensely into toku, but I was definitely interested in some pictures a blogger uploaded and just took them as an OTP

my thoughts:

In contrast to my other tokusatsu OTPs, I’m not as hardcore into the couple, but I did like the concept of them being creators of a new world. In a way, that makes them equals, especially when Kouta was one of the few men (or perhaps the only man) who didn’t consider Mai a prize to be won. He saw her as a person and that’s just A+ in my book

I like how their new hair colours complement each other XD

I like to think that Mai giving Kouta the Golden Fruit was the Helheim version of a marriage ceremony haha

They seem to share the trait of being all-loving heroes - considering that both Kouta and Mai have no hard feelings against Micchy for admittedly being a jerk - but their feelings for each other are definitely not that of “I love you and everyone”

What makes me happy about them:

Seeing them smile and hold hands!

They’re totally married + have such a beautiful world in which they take care of

They went from being slightly estranged childhood friends to companions who managed to save their world together, that is just amazing, especially since they both chose to leave the home they loved for the sake of others

What makes me sad about them:

The possibility that Mai is now vulnerable to those who would want her power or end up in the same way the previous Woman of the Beginning did. It’s unlikely that the latter will happen but it is a possibility and I just want them to be happy

They had to leave their home because it was the only way to save everyone :(

things done in art/fic that annoys me:

Exaggerating the combatative side of their relationship, they don’t always scream at each other (plus I’m sure they grew past that stage - I think the closest to that was Mai being annoyed with Kouta because he left the dance crew or something; other times she was so nice to him)

Someone making Kouta a jerk to justify Kaito ending up with Mai. Actually, making any character a jerk for the sole reason of boosting the “compatability” of another pairing is never a nice feeling

things I look for in art/fic:

Fics exploring their new home + feelings about ascension

To be honest…I can’t afford to be picky since THERE ARE LESS THAN TEN FICS ON THIS PAIRING

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

No one. I’m usually not a multi-shipper - when I decide on an OTP, I can’t even visualise another pairing involving one of them with someone else

My happily ever after for them:

Technically they already have it, but I want Kouta and Mai to briefly take on their human forms and just enjoy themselves in front of the giant tree Mai used to dance under on Earth with their child

what is their favorite non-sexual activity?

Walking about their home planet, and sometimes they hold hands, match each other’s pace or Mai skips ahead to do a little twirl, showing her love for dancing, and Kouta smiles at that

Emu/Poppy

2017. I was getting interested in Ex-Aid, and episode 28 sealed the deal for me because Emu cared more about Poppy than fighting anyone, and he trusted her to not shoot him with the BugVisor + she hugs him so cutely??

my thoughts:

They are like strawberry bubble gum - pink x pink! I love the colour pink and both parties wear it as their primary colour :D Plus they’re the sweetest people on their team and generally treated each other with respect from the beginning (generally because Emu’s gotten some ‘Amusing Injuries’ due to Poppy)

They made me watch FMVs again

The day someone told me the novel made Emu’s feelings for Poppy canon I spammed some posts and wanted to roll off my bed and faint happily

What makes me happy about them:

You can see they’re a great doctor and nurse team?? You can see that they don’t think less of each other and if I recall correctly, they are willing to listen to each other’s perceptions despite their doubts (barring episode 1 because they barely knew each other + just met)

At first Emu doesn’t really shield Poppy from attacks (episode 20(?) involving the rollercoaster had me notice that) but it seems that after the episode 26-28 incident, he actively protects her? I think? Like, the Pacman movie and the Hesei Generations Final movie has him shielding Poppy first, which speaks volumes about how he just ran from attacks in episode 20 with Poppy trailing after him

Episode 34. Emu looking perturbed by the director holding Poppy’s hands made my mood because it obviously meant he was jealous. Jealousy isn’t good, I know, but sometimes it’s needed as an indication to know someone likes someone else :)

What makes me sad about them:

The possibility that Poppy is immortal while Emu will age - OKAY LET’S STOP THERE

EPISODE 44. EMU WAS SOBBING - HE DIDN’T EVEN DO THAT WITH PARADO?! AND THEY BOTH MEAN A LOT TO HIM?? Like, I’ve watched that scene a dozen times and I still cry at how Poppy tried to smile so no one would be sad when she was gone and Emu couldn’t take it - he stumbled onto the floor and cried - kudos to his actor ouch

things done in art/fic that annoys me:

Emu being a jerk to Poppy. In canon he is apathetic to some of Poppy’s amusing injuries but he doesn’t do non-consensual activites with her…plus Emu isn’t a jerk.

things I look for in art/fic:

Just them enjoying each other’s company and having a good time. There’s this really nice AU fic where Emu encourages Asuna to take up an internet idol hobby because she has a nice voice and found a passion outside her job, try it!

Kouta overhears the WWP's talking about how Midoriya apparently went rogue and kidnapped a child witness and while they're all extremely skeptical that he did it for nefarious reasons they can totally believe that he did it.

(Because they'd seen the aftermath of Midoriya protecting Kouta and they'd been the ones to go out to the site where the battle took place. They'd seen the damage to the landscape and they were the ones to hold Kouta through his tearful retelling of what had happened and the nightmares that came afterwards. They, more than most, realize just how far Midoriya is willing to go to protect a child he doesn't actually know.)

Kouta is straight up like "slam x for extreme fucking doubt" whenever anyone tries to say that what Deku did was bad. And Mandalay may or may not catch him kind of furiously packing a backpack in his room one night cause he knows how Deku is and someone needs to be there to make sure he doesn't get himself mangaled again. His aunt eventually talks him down but he's not happy about it.

He may or may not lace his new red boots up extra tight cause he's fully ready and willing to kick more than one person in the junk if he hears anyone anywhere talking bad about his hero.

admittedly, he was a bit hesitant to go when you first suggested the idea of a beach date given how easily he burnt in the sun, though he quickly gave in once he saw how excited you were

a beach date did sound quite fun for a day off even if he was sure to melt in the heat. at least you guys could play in the ocean which was bound to cool you off

plus, the thought of seeing you in a swimsuit made him experience heart palpitations right then and there. needless to say, he became more excited about the date the more he thought about it

i can see kouta being a bit too cautious of sunburns since they were quite painful and nasty, so he definitely lathers up on sunscreen given his tendency to burn, and he most likely does the same to you

much of the date is spent in the shade, underneath the umbrella you two had propped up in the sand, just happy to be in each other’s presence. the long week had been rather tiring, and this date was the perfect way to rewind and relax

i don’t think kouta was a big fan of beaches in general. the sand got everywhere; the sun showed no mercy; and the feeling of having wet sand stuck to your feet surely was uncomfortable

but even then, as long as he was with those he loved, kouta did find himself looking forward to spending some time on the beach

the first thing you guys do after setting up your area is pretty much just sit down and enjoy the salty ocean breeze. there was something about the calm atmosphere of the beach and the rhythmic rocking of the waves with you by his side that kouta adored

sure, you guys have had your fair share of dates before, such as a nice stroll through the park or having a picnic underneath the cherry blossoms, but the beach was certainly different in a sense

this was also kouta’s chance to laze around, and add the warmth of the sun into the mixture, and he’s pretty much sluggish, wanting to do nothing but spend time next to you in the shade

so for most of the date, you guys are watching the waves or simply talking to one another about who knows what. and the time spent in silence, the two of you simply relished in the other’s touch and proximity

(he might even find himself falling asleep as he lay in your lap and as you played with his hair)

once the sun is lower in the sky, and it’s a little bit cooler, you and kouta take a stroll around the beach as well, hand-in-hand and enjoying the view

this was one of his favorite moments of any beach date. the sunset with all its colors looked so pretty as it set upon the waves, and he was spending it with his lovely partner. there really was nothing better

the sense of intimacy that was there, and the way you looked so beautiful with the sunlight illuminating your features, well, it was of no surprise that kouta found it in himself to slowly kiss you

(definitely freaks out afterwards and apologizes for abruptly kissing you, not sure as to what had come over him. you don’t mind and think it’s quite adorable, actually)

at the end of the date, you guys stop for ice cream and enjoy it on the beach once more before it was time to head back home. it was a nice treat to cool down after the rather hot and humid day, and besides, ice cream paired with the setting sun was simply amazing

even if the date was overall pretty slow, with you guys spending most of it underneath the shade, sluggish from not only the heat but each other’s touch, it was still a rather enjoyable date

kouta was quite fond of beaches afterwards, certainly open to the idea of another beach date in the future

he was most likely the one to even suggest the idea of a beach date in the first place

yuu loved the beach. to him, it was nothing but good vibes and a way for him to rewind and relax. he’s always been worked to the bone between studying for school and taking care of both the house and his sister, and a beach date with his lovely s/o was just the remedy

and when you agree, yuu’s pretty much already making plans for what you guys would be doing at the beach

after immediately setting things up upon arrival, yuu is going straight to the water. the ocean was his favorite part about the beach i like to think, and given the heat, there was no better way to cool off

he’s so excited that he may even forget to put sunscreen on. it’s been a long time since he’d been at the beach, so the moment yuu saw the ocean and felt that breeze on his face that he missed oh so much, he’s just so excited

“yuu, you forgot sunscreen”

“oh, yeah”

he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck while you sighed and put it on for him, though you couldn’t help but find his excitement rather adorable. it may have rubbed off on you a tiny bit as well

yuu pretty much drags you to play in the water with him, wanting to have some fun and play around with you as well

he’s quick to splash you, which takes you by surprise and has you splashing him back in retaliation. from then on, it pretty much becomes the two of you splashing the other with water or trying to catch the other off-guard. it was a mini war that yuu had started, and both of you wanted to win

it’s so fun playing in the water with yuu, having lost any sense of time you may have had. it’s filled with lots of laugh and giggles and many slips and falls due to how slippery the wet sand felt

he definitely falls into the water on more than one occasion, grabbing you each time and dragging you down with him. sure you may have been a bit annoyed, but that all dissipated when you came up and saw just how dripping wet yuu looked, simply laughing at what had just occurred

i can see yuu taking this chance to quickly peck your lips. between how how his heart fluttered upon hearing your laugh and how attractive you looked right this instant, yuu couldn’t help but kiss you, catching you off guard

seriously, was he trying to give you a mini heart attack? but well, it was certainly nice

much of the time is spent playing in the water, and you have to drag him out so that he’d take a break and eat the lunch the two of you had prepared beforehand

(while drying and changing shirts, yuu accidentally wears yours and you wear his, though he loves it too much to change. so yes, you guys wear each other’s shirts, which may have flustered you at first)

you guys most definitely have a picnic on the beach as well, enjoying the view and chatting with one another while you munched on the lunch you both prepared the day before

yuu was certainly a great cook, but the fact that you had helped him on this in particular only made it taste better in his eyes

between the cool breeze, the beautiful view of the ocean, the good food, and your presence, this was one of yuu’s favorite picnic in a long time

afterwards, you guys relax in the sand for a while, hanging out and feeling a lot more sluggish due to your full stomach. even if it was silent, it was still nice

sometimes, slow was everything

towards the end of the date, you and yuu pretty much spend it snuggling one another while watching the sun set beyond the waves. it was quite romantic and the perfect end to the date

cuddling you as day turned into night, watching as the stars started to dot the sky. yuu couldn’t have asked for anything better

you probably had to convince ryo to even think about going on a beach date given how opposed to the idea he was at first

it wasn’t that he didn’t love the beach; in fact, he did adore it. but considering how hot it was this summer and how easily he burned given his pale complexion, ryo simply found the comfort of his air-conditioned room to be more desirable

but, well, you did present some valid points. for one, the ocean was sure to cool him off; and secondly, he’d be able to hang out with you all day, away from everyone else

those all sounded rather tempting, especially that last point; and thus, ryo was preparing for your guys’ trip to the beach

ryo is the first one to put on sunscreen, probably in obscene amounts as well, and he lathers you with it as well

i think that ryo is pretty conscious of his appearance in general, so he’s careful to not get sunburnt given how painful they could be. of course, he didn’t want you to get a bad burn as well, but he simply veils it as him not wanting to deal with your whines if you do end up getting a burn

the flushed look on his face and the way he averted his gaze told you otherwise

i presume that ryo wasn’t that big a fan of going in the water and getting all wet. sure it would’ve helped cool him off, but he wasn’t keen on changing amidst the beach

so most of the time you guys are sitting in the shade and simply enjoying other’s company, ryo not wanting to leave your side

considering how he lived in a pretty full household and pretty much had no privacy, ryo was happy that he finally got some alone time with you, and thus, he may seem more clingy than usual

he really wanted to spend time with you before you guys had to head back home, so ryo will always be by your side at the beach (plus, it was a new beach that you had dragged him to, and ryo had no idea where anything was)

you guys start by playing in the sand and building sandcastles, though you pretty much had to encourage ryo that it was fine since he seemed embarrassed by it

he loved building sandcastles, and he did want to do so, but the thought of it was so childish, at least in his mind. and since ryo was conscious of how he looked, he was hesitant at first

but when he saw you starting to build one and even asking him to join you, well, ryo thought that perhaps it’d be fine after all

definitely has an urge to build a better sandcastle than you, if only to impress. he ends up having a bit of trouble and begrudgingly asks you for help (it was never a competition, but seeing ryo’s competitive nature was cute)

as hesitant as ryo was at getting into the water, he does agree to at the very least dip his feet in it and simply feel the cool water on his skin

the sensation of the squishy sand in between his toes was a bit gross for him, but it was also somewhat nice? he really couldn’t explain it

but he really did enjoy the fact that you were by his side right now. even if the beating sun was terrible, ryo did love the feeling of you sitting right by him now, feet in the water and hands intertwined. the fact that it was just the two of you alone made him giddy

as the sun began to set, you guys brought out the watermelon you had cut up beforehand and ate it by the shore

there was nothing better to ryo than the sweet taste of the melon combined with the stunning sunset and you by his side. to him, it was the perfect end to the day. in a way, he never did want this scene to end, wanting to live in it

as the two of you were packing up and getting ready to head home, ryo was overcome with emotion. today had really been an awesome day all thanks to your idea, and he was able to spend it with the person he loved and held close to his heart

and so, seemingly out of the blue, ryo gathered the courage to kiss you, though he immediately turned around and entered the car the moment you two separated, not wanting you to see just how red he was at the moment

you were certainly taken aback at how your awkward boyfriend had kissed you without warning, but it was definitely like him. ryo really was adorable, as much as he tried to deny it

perhaps beach dates should be a more often occurrence
