Kotlc plotholes and theories bc what

There are so many, and I mean SO MANY fucked up lil plot holes in the Kotlc and just things that aren't really considered.

like sure yeah saying Einstein was wrong abt light for the purpose of light leaping was cool and all but ???? then why does it work. We've been to SPACE based off of these silly lil human theories and its certainly worked so wdym humans are stupid for thinking thats how light works. IT DOESNT NO WORK LIKE THAT AT THE VERY LEAST.

another thing, does the general elf population know humans have been to space? do they know about the moon landing?? do the councilors know? I assume the elves in charge of monitoring humans would know but honestly I don't think the would've felt the need to tell the councilors.

kotlc sims update !!! we are so back

i realized i never sent fintan & bronte on a honeymoon so that was my first priority. (& i got the lovestruck expansion pack (definitely legally) to spice things up…)

well. things did not go as planned. here is a before and after photo of the honeymoon suite ❤️

to recap what happened:

- yay! they are going on vacation :)

- i immediately get this pop up and kind of just sigh and shake my head because why are they like this.

they seriously cannot go more than 2 minutes without insulting each other

- anyway. i realize that i placed the bedside tables in a way that prevented either of them from getting into the bed.

- and since this is a vacation i can’t enter build mode while the event is active. which is a design flaw imo…. you can order additional supplies but you can’t simply move a table…. aughhhh

- i had fintan set the tables on fire in hopes that it’d destroy them but the fire seemed to destroy everything BUT the tables.

- he couldn’t even extinguish the fire properly because it had spread to areas that were blocked by the tables. do you see the problem here

- he calls the fire department, the fireman puts out like 1 square of fire and proceeds to just…. stand there????? 0 stars.

- fintan is enjoying this though. thanks to the arsonist mod. he is laughing while the house burns. bronte has run outside and is now crying.

- the fireman FINALLY puts out all the fire after like 5 minutes and then starts dancing seductively for absolutely no reason????? i didn’t get a picture of this but it was so funny hello why did he start doing that 💀

- anyway. bed is still unusable so they nap in the hot tub 💔💔

- i send them to the spa afterwards because that was a very stressful experience and fintan immediately passes out on the floor

- i ended up ending the vacation early and redoing the whole thing 💀 and it went much better the second time (this happened with the wedding too…. the universe is trying to tell them something fr)

- bed is now useable and i find out that they can cuddle while they sleep now which is. annoyingly cute.

- i say the second attempt went better but they switched their relationship dynamic again.. this game loves to be canonically accurate i suppose

unraveled au where imaginary sophie was there the entire book

you could theoretically read the series in the order 8.5, 9.5, 9 instead of 8.5, 9, 9.5 because books 9 and 9.5 take place parallel to each other but also sophie and keefe never interact between them so hypothetically there should be no difference (and no spoilers either way).

another thing you could theoretically do is alternate between reading books 9 and 9.5. a chapter here, a chapter there. it would be like reading a longer version of unlocked, with the povs alternating between sophie and keefe.

in fact, in theory, there could be a possibility of even less spoilers if you read it 8.5, 9.5, 9. for example, if vespera makes an appearance in unraveled, and you didn't know she would die yet, it could be a really cool way to see her last minute and have an extra layer about her before her death. whereas if vespera makes an appearance in unraveled and you already know she's going to die, it feels a little more empty. not completely meaningless, but like. kinda empty. like if vespera hints at a larger plan or something in unraveled and you didn't know she was going to die, you'd be super excited to see this plan shake out, but now that we know she's going to die something like that wouldn't hit as hard.
