[warning: while f!reader is not described with any specific physical characteristics, the child in this fic is described as having inherited all of Megumiâs attributes and none from reader! please read with that in mind, or pass over this fic if not <3]
"We've got some stuff to talk about."
Megumi watches as Kota's little sock-clad feet swing back and forth while he sits in his chair at the table in the middle of the staff room of the veterinary clinic. He's eating some of the chocolate covered mushroom-shaped cookies the vet keeps tucked away in the back corner of one of the tallest cabinets out of sight, with a glass of milk.
At the counter on the opposite side of the room, Yuuji is slicing him an apple. Megumi stands at his side.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Yuuji asks him under his breath, in response to the answer Megumi had just provided him about who this kid is and why he looks just like him. "He's clearlyâ"
Yuuji's voice pitches up a little too loudly and both men quickly glance over at the little boy on the other side of the room, who is watching them curiously. Yuuji smiles, though Megumi can see just how strained it is from up close, and then the two men shift away so their backs are to the child once more.
"Fushiguro, that's clearly your kid."
"Not possible," Megumi replies immediately, and he means it. Sure he'd thought the same thing when he first saw the boy, but with every passing moment he's come more firmly to the conclusion that it simply isn't plausible. There's just no way.
Right?
"Hey, Kota-chan?" Yuuji calls over his shoulder, still hacking away at the apple in his hands. "When's your birthday?"
Kota's lips purse, a smudge of chocolate next to his mouth.
"I dunno," the little boy replies.
Both of the men hold back their groans.
"Mama never bought you presents and gave you cake after she sang you a song?" Yuuji tries again.
Kota's eyes light up and he nods. "Yeah!"
Yuuji laughs a little at how the child's expression has changed. "What was the weather like outside that day?"
Kota seems to think very hard about this new information. "There was snow outside. Mama made a snowman with me and then we went inside to eat cake."
Megumi watches as Yuuji does the calculation in his head. It takes a while.
"Kota told me he's four, so who were you seeing in the... late winter or early spring five years ago?" he finally works out the math and asks his friend from the corner of his mouth.
Megumi thinks back, though reluctantly.
"No one," he says finally, upon a moment of reflection.
Yuuji looks like he's about to burst a blood vessel.
"What are you doing, by the way?" Megumi asks, watching Yuuji drag the knife along one of the apple slices, peeling away only a small section of the skin.
"Making bunnies," Yuuji replies, holding one up for Megumi to see.
It does kind of look like a bunny, he has to admit, with two little bits of the peel cut out into points. It's not the most realistic rendition he's ever seen, but it's a close enough approximation. He watches as Yuuji sets the last rabbit-esque slice onto a plate and carries it over to Kota at the table.
"Here you go," he says with a smile, setting the plate down in front of the boy.
Megumi can practically see the sparkles in the child's eyes when he looks at the slices of fruit.
"Bunnies!" he says, beaming up at Yuuji. The pink haired man returns his smile with an equal enthusiasm. The boy picks up a slice immediately, holding it up to his face to appreciate it. "Mama puts bunnies in my lunch sometimes."
Yuuji's smile falters a little. "Hey, Kota-chan, is there anything else you can tell me about your mama? She must be really worried about you, you know."
Kota's lips curl into a sad little frown. He avoids Yuuji's eyes. "Mama was working, and I knew she wouldn't let me help the bunny if I told her because she was really busy, but I had to help him."
Yuuji softens a bit, huffing out a breath. He plops a hand down into Kota's dark hair, ruffling it gently. "You're not in trouble, buddy. And you did help the bunny. But we've gotta try and get you home now, okay?"
Kota nods a little.
"You said your mama works nearby right?" Yuuji asks, and again Kota nods. "And it's a restaurant?" Another nod. "What does mama do there?"
"She brings people their food! And she brings them drinks!" Kota replies.
A server, obviously.
"Okay, good job, Kota. I'm gonna see if I can figure out how to get you home, alright?"
The little boy nods, taking a bite of his apple slice.
Yuuji approaches Megumi, still hovering on the other side of the kitchen. "I'm gonna give Nanamin a call and see if anything's come in about a missing kid at the station, if not I'll jog around the block and check the local restaurants. You stay with Kota and write me down a list of all the women you'veâ"
Both men look over at Kota, who's watching them raptly with a cheek full of apple.
"âbeen friends with." Yuuji finishes his sentence strangely, but Megumi gets the message anyway.
The dark haired man feels heat flare in his cheeks, grabbing Yuuji by the front of his shirt before he can step away.
"I've always been very..."âhe glances over at the child on the other side of the roomâ"careful with my friends."
Yuuji understands what he means.
"You can never be careful enough," he remarks pointedly, albeit a bit awkwardlyâhis cheeks are a little bit pink now too.
Yuuji and Megumi don't ever talk about stuff like this, at least not in such specific detail. This is the kind of conversation Yuuji'd have with his friend Todo, or maybe Nobara, and the kind of conversation Megumi would rather take with him to the grave.
Megumi grits his teeth. "I'm not making a list."
"Fushiguâ"
"I don't need one. It doesn't merit the paper." Megumi cuts him off, his cheeks burning so hot he's surprised the room hasn't gotten brighter. Yuuji's eyes widen a little as he processes the admission. Megumi's never really been one to sleep around, and while he's had a few long-term partners, none of them were around the time that Kota would have been born. Plus Megumi's relationships all ended relatively amicablyâhe'd have known if one of his exes had a baby. "I'm telling you, it doesn't make sense."
Yuuji nods a bit, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Alright, alright," he says. "Let me go call Nanamin and we'll get this figured out."
Megumi watches as his friend steps out through the doorway to the staff kitchen, breathing out a long, weary sigh once he's gone.
"ErmâDoctor Shiguro?"
Megumi freezes, glancing over at the little boy at the table. He'd sort of momentarily forgotten he was even there.
Kota is sitting at the table, rubbing at his eyes with his small fist.
Megumi looks at him expectantly.
"I'm sticky," Kota says, holding up his hands with his fingers splayed.
The man blinks for a moment, and then nods, retrieving a small bit of paper towel and running it under the tap to dampen it. He brings it over to Kota, handing it to the boy, but the child sticks both of his hands out. Megumi hesitates and then takes one of his small hands in his own, sweeping the damp towel across it.
He repeats the motion with the second hand, making sure to get any lingering stickiness off of his smooth skin. His hand is incredibly tiny, Megumi can't help but noticeâthere are dogs he'd tended to with larger paws than Kota's little hand.
Once Kota's hands are clean, Megumi glances up at his face. His eyelids are drooping, and the man realizes it's quite late for such a young boy to be awake (and eating snacks no less.) That smudge of chocolate is still on Kota's cheek, so Megumi wipes it away with the damp towel too.
"Doctor Shiguro?" Kota mumbles tiredly.
"Fushiguro," Megumi gently corrects him.
"Is my bunny really gonna be okay?" the little boy asks, rubbing at his eyes again.
Megumi thinks back to the way Kota had the little rabbit held against his chest underneath his coat to protect it from the rain; how desperately he'd asked him, a stranger, for his help; how scary it must have been for such a little boy to be out so late, in such a bad storm, all alone.
He nods.
"Yeah, he'll be alright."

The Ultra Stage: The greatest hero - final thoughts: full detailed plot (part 2/3)
In part 1 you can read my thoughts on the musical in general, understudy Deku (when Shimura was sick), background fun interactions between characters and what changed between the three dates I've watched it.
Here I will write a detailed summary of the plot! I've skipped the intermissions here!
THE RECAP
Like the previous ones, the musical starts with a recap, this time directly showing All Might last fight with AFO. We see Bakugou and Deku watching All Might con the sides, and then they both sing about him. The song, like all in the musical but the last one, is new.
The rest of the recap is only focusing on the story of Bakugou and Deku: middle school bullying, the river incident, the sludge, Deku training for OFA, getting into UA, a recap of their Deku vs Kacchan fight and some more about their interactions.
The musical then starts with All Might talking with Nezu, introducing the idea of the dormitories, and the scene quickly changes to Aizawa and All Might visiting the Bakugous. The scene is identical to the anime, with some creatively used light and cubes to recreate the flashback of Aizawa speaking to the reporters. Another small difference is that the Bakugous bow while standing up.
Next we see All Might talking to Inko, and in the background (without sound) we see Aizawa talking to Jirou's parents, and Jirou dad pretend to be angry with him and storming off.
When Deku reads Kota's letter, a dance with the kid's signature hat comes in to represent him.
Then we see the students returning to UA. Aizawa reprimands them, and then when he decides to not expell them he literally skips away jumping on the stage.
The next scene is Bakugou making Kaminari use his quirk to make everyone laugh. Ochako covers Tsuyu's eyes, and Deku seems surprised Bakugou is giving money to Kirishima. When everyone walks out, we have Mineta, Aizawa and Iida introducing the rooms, before a full on hilarious musical numbers. The musical number centers on Mina and the girls while they all visit different rooms.
Rooms: Deku is a full on All Might posters + carpets being rolled on stage and Ochako calls him an otaku. Iida is just a wall of glasses, Kaminari shows his lamp (Aoyama dressed as a lamp), Aoyama ends up on a platform dancing with a sparkling ball. Shoji has a miniature room that all the students come close to look at. Ojiro's room is very generic and is also rolled in on stage. Mineta tries to invite them, but Deku shoves him quickly off stage. Kirishima is mainly a small dance number and people hitting him with the poles (a classic of the musical), Sero's room also passes by very quickly. Todoroki's room is rolled on stage and is a beautiful Japanese room, and everyone sits down almost on reverence. Sato brings out a microwave and everyone eats cake while flowy fans represents the delicious smell of food. Koda has a bunch of plushies and then Bakugou walks out dressed as his bunny (what bunny bakugou does change every show).
The girls room are all just a screen with the room projected on and pass by very quickly, a part from Momo's, whose bed is dragged on stage and the whole class kneels (Ochako almost faints). The other is Tsuyu, who is shown behind a closed door looking at the classmates.
Then a small camera is given to Todoroki who films the winner announcement (Sato, for the disappointment of poor Aoyama). Todoroki has been yawning and doozing off through the whole song, so finally he goes to sleep but Ochakp stops him. They go see Tsuyu and the rescue students apologize to her. They all hug her but Deku, who is looking at Bakugou in the change of scene.
After the rooms, the students find out about the license exam and we have them meeting the other schools. In the manga this happens a bit later, but at this point the musical introduces Inasa (who interrupts a circle of the class doing a Plus Ultra, with Bakugou getting dragged in by Kirishima), Ms Joke, Camie, Seiji, Shindo (who blinds everyone with his smile, such Aoyama tries to replicate), Shindo's girlfriend (who only appears in this scene) and Itejiro (who is introduced by picking a fight with Bakugou in the background).
After these introductions, we have the "pick the name of your special move" scene, which is a call back to "pick your hero name" from musical 2 (the characters even cheer in the same way). The teachers join the stage, and the musical number shows every student perfecting a move. Mina's move is probably the best done, with smoke coming out of the all rounders she hits. At one point the stage gets dark, only showing us Bakugou and Deku, and we have a small song about Deku's admiration for Bakugou, while he looks at the other student. Uraraka is in the darkened background and she seems hesitant, looking at Deku, but when she makes to reach for him, All Might and the others interrupt her. We get then a small scene of All Might teaching the students, with the camera showing on the big screen his teaching book. Another cute All Might thing is that his yellow antenna-like hair jump up now and then!
After receiving the advice, Deku gets to Hatsume. Everything here is the same, and the scene ends up with Hatsume dragging Iida off stage and Ochako and Deku looking in worry. The rest is the continuation of the previous song, with Hatsume talking with Deku and Ochako about their modifications. A funny moment was when, while dancing, Ochako physically puts herself between Deku and Mei, to separate them. When then Bakugou accidentally destroys a rock and almost hits All Might, Deku's new costume and move is introduced with a song.
The next scene sees Yokumiru (played by All Might's actor) introducing the license exam. This scene changes a bit between shows, and to show the points system we have Present Mic and three all rounders. When the chase starts, the stage has Aizawa and Joke on opposite sides commenting on the students. There's then a small song, before we have the first part of the license exam. This is the same as the manga, so I'll write just some impressions.
Inasa has a big amazing entry with his quirk shown through the screen and suspended spheres over the stage. Camie/Toga is quite amazing, the fight, especially after Toga transforms back into Camie is very dynamic. And Uraraka's actress playing Toga was chilling! The scene with Sero, Uraraka and Deku passing the exam is instead very short, but a lot of emphasis was put on Camie/Toga addressing Uraraka when she expected Deku to be addressed, and I think the musical sets up the Toga vs Uraraka dynamic quite well. Bakugou, Denki and Kirishima vs Seiji was the same. Todoroki also had a very small scene, with finally Inasa acting cold towards him for the first time. Aoyama and Iida had their scene, with a flashback on screen of kid Aoyama, and the rest of the class jumps in to save them with a screen of Koda's doves.
Bakugou's first compliment to Deku's user of his quirk ("you made it your own") is quite prominent, with a shocked Deku looking back at Bakugou, while the other slowly turns to look at him. The rest of the class dances and sings around them, and Bakugou and Deku silently walk to swap their places.
After this part, the focus is on the comedic scene where Mineta, Sero and Kaminari teases Deku about Camie. Tsuyu seems to want to go to them but Ochako stops her and the two stretch while listening. After Ochako's attempt to talk to Deku gets interrupted again, the second part of the exam starts, leaving her wondering what she's going. There's a reprise of Aoyama's song from musical two ("you like him, don't you?"), and Ochako sings a solo about putting aside her feelings.
A small thing I forgot, the Help Us Company is hilarious and is introduced in an almost zombie style song! There's small reprised of this song during this part.
My memory also can't exactly place it, but I think before this point, before Ochako's song probably, we have a flashback of the river scene again, and of Bakugou and Deku finding the All Might card (with Bakugou putting it in his pocket).
As usual, the rest is quite loyal. Gang Orca arrives, Todoroki and Inasa mess up, with the combination of their quirks shown through the screen. The Inasa flashback is also done through a screen, with Endeavor's eyes shown first, and Shouto's cold eyes after. The fight is relatively long, mixed up with Shindo, Deku, and what Bakugou and the others are doing. It ends up with Deku, Todoroki and Inasa ready to attack Gang Orca, but the stop signal rings and the exam ends.
The next scene is the screen with all the names of the students that passed. We have the classic Mineta teasing Todoroki, and the trio who failed accept the remedial exam. The scene changes to Uraraka chasing Deku, who is happy with his new license. We have some extra background scenes of Ochako and Deku taking each the photo of the other with their licenses, and Todoroki accidentally burning Aoyama's license and trying to apologize. The license scene ends with All Might receiving a photo of Deku's license card.
We're back at the dormitories, and Bakugou walks about the audience to challenge Deku. They start walking in circles around the stage, the background changing into streets. At every circle, we smoothly (thanks to moving panels) get the actors re-enacting some of their flashbacks. In particular we get: Deku admiring Bakugou as a kid, Bakugou choosing Deku as a nickname, Bakugou getting his quirk, the river incident (this time with Bakugou's left hand almost raising to accept Deku), Bakugou bullying Deku, telling him not to go to UA, the sludge incident, then Deku standing up to Bakugou, and some dialogues from their later fights.
Once the flashbacks stop, they arrive to ground beta and the screens turn into night. The rest is identical to the anime, and the fight actually happens without singing, but using some interesting music from musical two (the one from Deku saving Bakugou). The fight was actually quite scary, I thought they would accidentally hit each other!
There's a lot of jumping around, and at one point each get a small light in their hands: Bakugou has a orange light and Deku a green light. It all ends up like in the anime, and All Might intervenes and hug a crying Bakugou.
This is quite similar to the way musical two ended, with All Might hugging a crying Deku. At the end Bakugou also has bandaged arms, like Deku had at the end of the previous musical.
After this we get Aizawa reprimanding them, and then the class teasing Bakugou and Deku who are cleaning the common room. Aoyama throws around confetti, and the class has to restrain Bakugou from attacking him. When the students leave, Bakugou and Deku spend a comically long amount of time in absolute silence. Deku starts picking up the confetti, and Bakugou vacuum. Then Deku speaks up and he has this giant smile when Bakugou actually comments on his fighting style.
This is the last scene of the musical, before the final song which is "I want to be a hero". It is choreographed differently than usual, and I talked about it in part one, if you want to read it!

Anzi Christmas - Live Report
Held at Keystone Club in Roppongi, a jazz bar on the 2nd floor. I arrived just after 18:00, my friend was already there and shortly after the flowers arrived. They were so beautiful!
For this live, we didn't have numbered tickets, however once we got inside we drew for which table we would sit at. I drew table 2, which most people would be envious as it's right in front of the stage, however being an introvert it was stressful. No matter how much I begged my friend to switch with me, she was table 6 in the back, she wouldn't.
Also available at the door was the music cards Anzi had spoken about, I purchased two. After sitting down, and trying to get comfortable with the closeness, my friend told me where we can give our presents. A relief!
Also to note with this draw, we would be sitting with random people, I had three lovely ladies with me, who were patient and helpful (ă©ăăăăăăšăăăăăŸă!!!)
During the course of the evening I was trying to use the translator app for more of the difficult questions they asked, however the app made such bad translations that we all had a good laugh. Thinking back, I think I was supposed to switch to the Japanese side of it (stress).
Anzi began the event on time, it was so good to see him again! When he first started talking, his voice was a bit shaky, then he got into it and it was so wonderful how much he talked during the whole night. I wish I could have understood it better, however I'm only at the beginner level and only could pick out a few words.
He introduced Kota Sayama san, a truly gifted pianist, and he played some wonderful music for us while we ate. I'm so sorry that I didn't take a picture of the food to show everyone, it was delicious!!! Great choice!! Two of the songs that I recognized Sayama san playing was Beauty and the Beast and I believe was a Cinderella song, interesting choices.
Anzi also mentioned that he will be coming around to each of the tables to talk with fans. Ehhhh?? Where do I hide?? Panic mode.
When he gets to our table, he crouches down on my right side, (honestly I wish I could have understood Japanese better) but I'm guessing he was asking how are we enjoying ourselves and the usual small talk. After which we clinked our glasses.
After his rounds, Anzi came back to the mic, he asked for requests for music that Sayama san would play as a sample, a few classical pieces and some jazz (I think?)
Dessert came out, it was so cute!! Very delicious and with a chocolate Santa, that I had to take a picture of! Then Anzi popped by again, he talked about the cake, I think he was mentioning he wanted a chocolate cake and then talked about the Santa and tree chocolate toppers. After he talked with the others, then he started asking me questions. I'm so sorry Anzi I couldn't understand you *hides under a blanket for the rest of my life* thankfully the lady right beside me helped translate a bit. He asked me where I'm from how long I was staying, which I told him and then he tells me I should stay here. If I had any courage I would have said "Only for you, I would stay."
Once dessert was finished, then the mini live started! Our set list was We Wish You a Merry Christmas, A RAY OF HOPE, RED, Neon City (new song), Excelsior and Tomorrow is Another Day.
The first few notes of A Ray of Hope and Red got me teared up. To hear all these songs played live AND to be matched with the piano, oh I could have died right there and have no regrets! It was so magical and wonderful, I truly didn't want it to end. (Anzi I can't wait to hear more music from you if you choose to do another live like this!)
After the end of the live, I found out that Anzi would sending us off (thank you again ladies for the explanation!!). He handed us a photo of himself with his guitar, and he spoke to me in English, it was so cute! I thanked him in English and Japanese and said our goodbyes.
Wow, I was truly grateful to be able to attend such an event and honestly hope there might be more in the future if Anzi would be be so kind.

Opposite Day
January 27 - (2) e-Day
Start at the Beginning â Previous | Next â
~â~
Ring ring ring
Incoming call from Danny-boy
Iâm putting today down in the record books as the day you called me the most. Â What is this, the fourth time?
Third. Â You make me sound clingy.
However, we also had a conversation via text, so weâve communicated four times.
Whoâs counting?
Me, obviously. Â Why did you call this time?
I wanted to make sure you ate your chocolate cake.
Iâm eating it right now, actually. Â You?
I ate a piece for breakfast and Iâm making two more cakes for tonight when everyone comes over for dinner.
Aw, how sweet of you! Â That reminds me, how did last night go?
Mission accomplished: Â Aunt was surprised, Uncle digitally designed a card, the meal didnât burn, everyone was out of the house by 5 PM, and no one was killed.
Did they like the movie?
I dunno, never asked. Â AUNT! Â DID YOU GUYS LIKE SECRETARIAT?
âŠouchâŠ
Aunt says that it made her cry.
I think Iâm deaf now.
Oh, um, sorry.
Itâs fine. Â What did you guys â and gals â end doing last night?
We ordered some burgers from Archieâs Grill. Â Then we drove to Calebâs dorm and watched Despicable Me. Â I havenât gotten that stupid song-thatâs-so-freakinâ-catchy out of my head ever since.
The song isnât freaky.
BECAUSE IâM HAPPYYYYYYYYY!
CLAP ALONG IF YOU FEEL LIKE A ROOM WITHOUT A ROOF!
BECAUSE IâM HAPPYYYYYYYYY!
CLAP ALONG IF YOU FEEL LIKE HAPPINESS IS THE TRUTH!
BECAUSE IâM HAPPYYYYYYYYY!
Never mind, youâre right.
Iâm always right.
Except when youâre left.
Just curious, what do you do with people who full-on swear and cuss?
Well, there are these lovely things called opera and soap.
Iâm not even gonna ask.
If Iâm talking over the phone, I start singing âAve Mariaâ at the top of my lungs. Â If weâre talking face-to-face, they usually end up with a mouthful of soapy water.
Youâre evil.
At least Iâm a decent singer.
Uh-huh.
âŠ
âŠ
You called for another reason, Danny-boy.  Donât bother to deny itâŠ
Then I wonât. Â Whatâs wrong?
Thereâs nothing wrong!
Remember, Carole dear, âI must not tell lies.â
âŠSaid the evilest villain ever.
Just a second ago, we agreed that youâre evil.
TouchĂ©.  Okay, there is a problem.  Lots of problems, actually.  But I still wonât tell you.
Itâs not like I havenât had my own share of problems, yâknow. I watched my parents die. Â My armâ
Okay, okay, I get it. Â Youâve gone through a lot. Â Donât make this all about yourself.
My point is that you can tell me things.
This is different. Â This is mostly stress and money issues.
It always comes down to money.
Ugh. Â Iâve had it up to here with money. Â Everything is ruined by it â or lack thereof.
Such as
My hopes and dreams. Â My future. Â ARGH!
Just let it out, Carolina.
Iâve written a bunch of compositions and Iâm planning to record them. So I was out performing one night, and a big-name producer heard me play and sing. Â They think that if I record an album, they can get it to sell â maybe even hit a few charts.
Thatâs awesome!
To be able to record, Iâd need a studio. Â Remember that old garage behind our house?
Yeah, we use to play âhouseâ in it, right?
Mhm. Â Well, Dad decided to renovate it into my dream studio. Â Then halfway through the reno, he runs out of money. Â Within the same week, Dad is demoted to a lower-paying position, and Mom is transferred to a location on the opposite side of the city.
Ouch.
Now Mom has to spend more on gas, and Dad has to lower his spending. They have to pay for our house, our food, and our utilities, not to mention our education. Â I mean, yeah, Kota and Georgia are self-sufficient now, and they can pay most of their tuition. Â That still leaves Ginny and me.
I completely understand.
The deal with the producer is up in a few months and I wonât be able to get my music recorded by then. Â Itâll have been a waste of money all around.
What were you gonna do with the money?
Iâd use some of it to help pay for college. Â Iâve won competitions and scholarships and all that jazz, but itâs not enough to afford a degree.
But couldnât you find another music-related job other than recording? I mean, what are the chances that the album will make it onto a few charts?
I mean, yeah, there are a couple jobs, but there are so many musicians out there who are a million times better than me. Â This is an opportunity that I canât pass up âcause it could open so many doors for me. Really, the main reason behind this recording idea is that it would â for lack of better words â get my feet wet. It would introduce me to the music world.
I see.
If the album doesnât sell well, it wonât hurt me any. Â If anything, Iâd be gaining experience out of it. Â But if it starts selling like the producer says it could, I could gain so much more out of it.
Oh.
Another reason: Â I know that you know that I was never that great of a student. Â My grades were average at best.
Donât say that. Â You worked really hard.
Sure, and I was able to graduate early because of it. Â That doesnât mean my grades were any better than Bâs and Câs. Â It closes off a lot of non-music-related paths for me, so I really need to make this music thing work. Â I may never get another opportunity like this, so my entire career is hanging in the balance.
Why canât you just rent a studio space for a day?
It really comes down to the money and the time.  Creating my own studio space would actually be cheaper at this point.  I have so much music and so many instrumentalists and too many vocalists⊠Itâd be unrealistic.
And why canât you go to the producerâs studio?
Heâs based in Chicago. Â There is no way Iâm flying heaven-knows-how-many people to Chicago just to rent enough housing to fit a circus.
Ah.
I already have to buy a few round-trip plane tickets to college. Thatâs enough, I think.
Quick question.
Yeah?
What is this grandiose school you keep talking about?
Juilliard.
Juilliard? Â As in the top musicâ
âcollege in the world? Â Yep, the one and only.
No wonder you canât afford it! Â Barely anyone can afford it!
Yeah. Â But Iâm going, even if it costs me an arm and a leg.
And you managed to get in. Â Wow, congrats, Carolina.
Aw, thanks.
What genre of music do you play? Â Classical?
Ew, no. Â As awesome as Mozart is, I donât love him that much.
Mozart is insulted.
The guy was a bit loony. Â What can I say?
Lots.
I actually write modernized covers and original songs inspired by songs from the 60s through the 80s.
I wouldnât have pegged you as the classic rock type.
Danny-boy, I quoted Simon & Garfunkel to you a couple days ago.
Thatâs a valid point.
Specifically, I prefer soft rock and folk-rock, but I love everything from James Taylor to Journey.
How about the Beatles?
Definitely.
Um⊠ Elton John?
Of course!
I canât think of anybody else.
The Eagles? Â The Doobies Brothers? Â Billy Joel? The Carpenters; Peter, Paul, and Mary; and the Mamas and the Papas? Â Van Morrison, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, and Fleetwood Mac?
Goodness. Â I have no idea who the heck half of those people are.
Oh, and you canât forget The Police. Â Theyâre on a whole different level.
What about Michael Jackson?
I actually donât like him that much. Â Is that bad?
Probably.
I always feel bad when I say that because his fandom is so massive.
Yep.
What about you? Â What kind of music do you like?
I actually donât listen to music much.
Are you human?
Last I checked, though itâs always been in question whether I was a human being or a human beanâŠ
*chuckle* Â What type? Pinto?
Nah, I always thought I was more of a jelly bean â a licorice jelly bean.
You like licorice? Â Bleck.
Not really.
Then how come youâre licorice-flavored?
Some people love me and some donât.
Wow, thatâs deep⊠Now that I think about it, I think everyone is licorice-flavored.  We just occasionally taste like cherry or bubblegum.  The people who only like your temporary flavors arenât truly friends.  Itâs the people who take the pros and cons of your licorice flavor and love you the way you are who are your real friends.
Wow, thatâs deep.
I think Iâve been thinking about life too much.
Now youâre thinking about thinking about life.
And you were thinking about thinking about thinking about life.
And you were thinking about thinking about thinking about thinking about life.
And youâre thinking about thinking about thinking aboutâŠand Iâve lost count.
My brain is fried.
I think I should say goodbye before I blow a fuse, yeah?
Yeah, agreed. Â Ciao!
Adios.
Beeeep
Call ended
Now weâll observe a moment of silence for my brain.

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 September â Introducing South Korea rookie girl group dubbed as the new generation of âThe Nation Younger Sistersâ â S.I.S pays their first visit to Malaysia for their tour titled âS.I.S First Charming Tour in Malaysia 2018â. The acronym of S.I.S brings the meaning of âSerendipity in Starsâ shows the group determination to be the stars in their Malaysian fansâ heart!
Consists of six members â J-Sun, Dal, Anne, Gaeul, Sebin and Minzy, the group made their debut under Double X Entertainment in 2017, S.I.S is definitely not a force to be reckoned with! The rookie girl group first gains exposure to the entertainment industry with three of their members â Anne, Gaeul and Sebin participating in KBS reality show - The Unit shortly after the group debuted. Their special Malaysia tour that lasts for four days with four showcases in different venues surely brings S.I.S closer to KPop fansâ in this country!
Before proceeding with their second showcase in Malaysia as part of the tour, S.I.S met with lucky fans and the media through press conference held at the main lobby of Cheras Leisure Mall.
When asked about their first impression before coming to Malaysia for the tour and after arriving and performing here, the girls answered enthusiastically that at first although they have never visited Malaysia, they have heard a lot about the country as the country is famous for its tropical nature and beautiful attraction such as Kota Kinabalu. Plus, when they reached here, they are also greeted warmly by fansâ love and support that they canât wait to perform on stage for their fans!

As the tour is a part of Yipin Studioâs promotion for their upcoming music awards â New Hallyu Star Asean Music Award, S.I.S also expresses their desire to win award such as âBest Rookie Groupâ in order to boost their group spirit further.
Nearing the end of the press conference, a lovely surprise for the girls was held when Malaysian fans of S.I.S comes forward to the stage to give a cake and flower bouquets as presents for each member to celebrate the group first year anniversary last August. The girls seemed to be genuinely surprised and touched thanks to their fansâ love. Happy 1st anniversary to S.I.S!

The showcase at Cheras Leisure Mall that night starts with a performance by local talent, Aqeesh Aleeya that gets the audience hyped up for more to come. Shortly after, S.I.S continue the momentum of the night by taking over the show with a cover dance of Twice recent hit song â âWhat Is Love?â. Suitable with their bright and cheerful image, the group managed to perform the song as well as their senior group and then continue the showcase by performing song from their first single - âëì ì°ìŁŒ (My Space)â.
Photo: S.I.S Anne
The showcase is then continued with a casual interview session. The emcee asked Dal (main vocalist) as she already had a duet song with MBLAQâs G.O, does she have any other artist that she would like to collaborate with in the future. Dal answered humbly although it may seem still far in the future, she would like to have a duet with solo singer IU if she had the chance.
S.I.S and their fansâ passion seems to never stop as the showcase continues with a fun game session of âFlipping the Bottleâ on stage. The members and lucky fans chosen are then grouped into two team for the game as they compete to win. The fans participating in the game also didnât return with empty hands as they were given special gifts as well as a photo opportunity together with S.I.S to commemorate the unforgettable moments of the night.
Photo: S.I.S Gaeul
For the next segment, S.I.S does not disappoint by continuing to rock the stage and perform their songs âììŒ (Ah Ya)â, a cover of Twiceâs âSignalâ and closes it off with their tile song, âëëìŽ ì (I Have a Feeling)â with fansâ loud cheer. Throughout the performance, S.I.S shows off their cute and refreshing youthful charms on stage just like their group name. Before ending the showcase, the emcee held a mini giveaway session by having a quiz session about S.I.S.
Photo: S.I.S SebinÂ
Shortly after the showcase ended, S.I.S spends their time for an interactive session of Selfie and Hi-Touch Session proceeded with fansign session for fans who have purchased the exclusive photo card set merchandises prepared by the organizers especially for the event. The girls take their precious time to meet and greet each fan personally one by one up-close with cheerful smiles to show their appreciation for their fansâ love.
From left: Dal, Minzy
The group ended their splendid showcase with fansâ cheer and support echoed throughout the venue. We wish S.I.S have a memorable stay in Malaysia and good luck for their upcoming comeback soon!

Yotsuiro Biyori 1 | Kakuriyo 2 | Lupin 3 Pt 5 2 | Saredo 2 | BnHA 40 | Boueibu HK 2 | Mahou Shoujo Ore 3 | Golden Kamuy 2
Yotsuiro Biyori 1
I memorised this showâs name as being âRokuhoudouâ, so I almost didnât recognise it at first when CR got it! Iâm only taking it on because of the SoL aspect, which Iâm normally not too sold on. However, there was a lot of slice of life this past winter, so I can see this being moved to the on hold pile alreadyâŠ
Mitarashi (dango).
Why do I get the feeling there was something fishy (time travel, a death or something) that happened to make the Rokuhoudou the way it is? I say âtime travelâ because of what I read about this show on ANN.
Is it just me, or does the background around this woman look kind of flat? The bins seem pretty flat, at the very leastâŠ
I can see what the woman means when she goes âThis is a cafĂ©?â It sure donât look like one, itâs more like a temple or something.
I almost expected the woman to mangle the name of the cafĂ© and go âShika-kaede-touâ or something. How do the Japanese manage to get all these kanji combo pronunciations right???
âDonât dodge my question, you king of BS.â â Just another quotable, alongside âJust Google it, asshole.â (Boueibu HK)
I thought the latte art was a dog at first, but yeah, if I look at it differently, itâs a bunny!
Kusamochi. By the way, I was thinking this show is really charming. Sure, I had more than enough Cute Boys Doing Cute Things in the winter, but these guys have quite the rapport. Now if only I could figure out what their names are (properly)âŠ
Wait, so did that board/sheet/whatever inside that inspired Redhead refer to Kinako (cat) or kinako?
Lemme get this straight â black hair is Tokitaka, brown hair (latte) is Gure, desserts boy isâŠshoot, I donât knowâŠUpdate: Gure has black hair, not brown. Itâs just shorter than Tokitakaâs.
I got no Google hits for Koubai pink, but Yurushiiro pink I didâŠso here you go. Yurushiiro pink was a pink that wasnât banned by the emperor of Japan back in the day where he had more power. It seems to be a shade somewhat similar to cherry blossoms.
Tokiiro pink = rose gold and Yoshino cherry white = a pinkish-white.
Nerikiri is a type of wagashi.
Some of the subs got cut off! Grr, CR! So, hereâs my attempt to translate what they have on that board of Redheadâs: after âbutterfliesâ, thereâs âplumâ (ume), âbamboo shootsâ (take no ko) and ânew leavesâ (wakaba). CR definitely used a longer word combo in place of ânew leavesâ though, so I could be wrong. That writingâs pretty scribbly, after all.
Redhead is Tsubaki (see? I have a horrendous memory when it comes to learning things for the first time)âŠso who am I missing?
Sakuramochi. Itâs that grainy sort of pink, leaf-bound mochi you often see in shows like this.
Gure seems to like his Italian, doesnât he? Is he half-foreign or is this just being a fan of the language of pasta?
ââŠthink about the spring sunshine.â â So why the cat background?
Okay, Iâve found whose name Iâve forgotten. Sui (brunette).
Tokishirazu salmon. LOL, that salmonâs perfect for Tokitaka!
I donât think they showed the chopstick holder earlier, but itâs a heart. It really is cute!
Interestingly, this woman brings to mind the idea of meiwaku when she says that it was her fault.
Oh, they werenât heart shaped, they were cherry blossom shaped! That makes a lot more sense! (The shapes are similar thoughâŠ)
Makunouchi bentoâŠthat sounds familiar, for some reason.
Hanami dango. Iâm sure you know them, even if youâre not familiar with the name...so long as youâve watched enough anime to see them at least once.
Ah, I bet Gure is a happy drunk, LOL.
Hah? Thereâs Sui (when he was younger)? Not in this episode, noâŠThere was also a Tsubasa Fujita who was voiced by Hibiku Yamamura. I assume thatâs the woman we were following today, but it mightâve been her friend or someone in a later episodeâŠ
Manjyu chazuke. I had to use the Japanese words to get some hits (as opposed to the romaji I just used), but whoever said that thing about Ougai seems to be correct.
Omusubi seems to be another name for onigiri.
Sencha.
That seems like less of a drop than I first thought...itâs going to be tough to cut down on all these shows. Iâm clearly being affected by how much I opened up my watchlist, because remember those days where Iâd only take on two shows a season?
Kakuriyo 2
Wow, the oni really has it in for her now...or is it really that hard to get a true read of him?
I somehow wagered the tengu was going to remind Aoi of her old man a few seconds before she did just that. Thatâs a bad sign...
Would a tengu have been too heavy to fly if it were drowning?
Seriously, this tengu never thinks of flying. Iâm laughing, but Iâve realised this showâs strength seems to be its humour more than anything.
The airship has the kanji for âTenâ (from Tenjinya).
The pace of this show goes like molasses, so I think Iâll put it on hold here.
Lupin III Pt V 2
âDid you finally start caring about the environment?âÂ
Holy helicopters, Batman! The AW609...exists!
â...Lupin used to escape!â
Theyâre being chased and yet still have time for hotpot, LOL. Never change, Lupin. Never change.
I never thought IĂąÂÂd see the day where a situation like the one AmiĂąÂÂs in could ever be talked out of in anime. Normally a scenario like that one is played for drama...
I guess even Lupin has a moe instinct, LOL.
That social media service looks a lot like Twitter, eh?
Apparently Shinpei Mayama is new this episode...Keep watching.
The Flea? He looks more like a hikikomori monster to me, LOL. (Boueibu reference, donât mind me...)
I get the feeling I should know these people that are all showing up, but I feel like I donât need to know about their backstories to appreciate them going forward. Thus, I will keep this show. Once again though, itâs a tentative keeper.
Saredo 2
Iâm zoning out...I need to drop this show, donât I?...
Soleil? Is that Gayusâs surname? (Basically, I got roped back into watching it with one reveal, LOL. Iâm such a finicky person.)
One Hundred Ways to Train Your Dragon, more like it, LOL.
Oh great. Every time they have a religious figure, the show always seems to go downhill...(thinks back to Vatican Miracle Examiner)
Wow, âpessimistically optimisticâÂÂ. Thatâs quite the paradox!
The power of politics is to back up one voice with lots of voices, so...uh...about that, Cardinal Mouldeen...
âCome on, you slaves of authority.â - LOL. What a name.
â[Giginaâs] a sword dancer...â - Oh, so thatâs why sinners dance with the dragons! A âdancerâ is a magician in this world.
Okay, seriously. How did I not see how bad this show was in the first episode? If your side characters are more developed than your main ones, youâve got a problem.
Iâve never seen a man more dedicated to fantasy-style IKEA than Gigina, LOL. At least thatâs fresh.
I donât think I even want to document this for later, but who the heck is Diorg?
I completely regret praising the rapport between Gayus and Gigina now. You can have some great convos when one member of the convoâs drunk, but this is a bit of a mess of a convo, tbh.
Even without the big names, I suspected the woman was connected to the black dragon...
This is a show where property damage counts, right? Gayusâll throw a fit later, eh?
Okay, I think Iâve complained about this show way too much. Once I start seeing something in a negative light I start to sound really critical, and a lot of the time itâs actually not as rewarding as hatewatches should be, which is why I havenât tackled anything for hatewatch purposes yet. Itâs just a fun-sucker, if thatâs the case, and that was definitely the case with this show.
BnHA 40
Wait, why is the camera-oh, itâs just Mineta. Get off the audienceâs case, Mineta.
Is it just me, or is it that every time I read âWild, Wild Pussycatsâ I get this song in my head?
I love how the Pussycats are basically magical girls with those poses!
How did they not censor Dragon Quest??? (LOL)
Aizawa likes cats? Thatâs new, but itâs also very in line with what we know of him already.
Oh, I see. Sheâs a Christmas cake!
What does GG stand for in that context, huh? âyou GG bastardâ, hmm...
Between BnHA and Tiramisu, youâre definitely in luck if you like muscular boys!
I feel like Kotaâs a hypocrite. After all, heâs at his auntâs and his aunt is a rescue hero...
Kota is very much like Midoriya in a few ways, donâtcha think?
Kotaâs name has a lot of water in it, doesnât it? (Both kanji in his name have water radicals.)
Boueibu HK 2
For some reason, Wakura actually seems happy about his outfit...even though he criticises it.
Iâm kind of confused about that âhammer and pigeonâ thing myself, although hato = pigeon which you can vaguely hear in Furanuiâs sentence.
I love Wakuraâs serious face...seriously, I need to figure out who best boy is soon, eh?
LOL, I said platypus was kamonohashi, yeah? Kamo can mean duck and it can be short for âmaybeâ (kamoshirenai).
Wahey, Binanshi Contest! Was it no. 1704 last ep as well?
Well, spoilers beat me on this one, but Tawarayama was a principal after the other guy...but then what are the HK DC gonna do about an advisor?
Ehhhhhhh? This I didnât see! Shuzenji calls Ata by that name!
The student council room hasnât changed at all, I see.
âGet fat!â - Wow...(LOL)
Calling it now - Unazuki is a yes man. Very Arima-like...
Strangely, Maasaâs sentence doesnât specify Furanui is âshrimpyâ at all. He just calls Furanui âthis thingâ (konna).
Does this mean Maasa has a thing for cool belly dancer guys? Hmm? Or is it just the magic heâs impressed with?
That board on the wall of the student council room hasnĂąÂÂt changed at all, which is what tipped me off to my earlier comment.
Ritter = knight. So our ES are Diamond, Rose Quartz and Amethyst. Thereâs not as much of a pattern going through these guys as there was with the CA, but itâll have to do.
Oh wow, that summary took almost half an episode! No wonder the DC ran off!
The massage thing really calls to mind the manga...
108 is a Buddhist number. I wonder if thereĂąÂÂs any significance to that...
July 18th? Boy, another July baby (thnks back to En)...
Getanha are cakes from Kagoshima, where the Kirishima onsen is.
Lorbeerprinz says âdruckâ is pressure...but...well, I never thought Iâd see the day I regretted not learning German, thatâs all. Sorry. I got nothing on this.
This shabu shabu stuff reminds me of the chikuwabu talk in LOVE! s1 ep 1. (nostalgia washes over everyone)
They definitely upped their 4th walling this season, eh? First the layout artist thing, now this âcut off by the frameĂąâ thing.
The river Iâd assume is the Sanzu (river you have to cross before you die) and I guess the flowerbed has to do with that. Kyotaro is Fiore Kiss though...which seems somewhat ironic.
At least theyâre fully clothed prior to this transformation...but I didnât mind seeing them transform from their birthday suits last episode, either...
What is that? *squints* It appears to be Taijuâs phone. Atsushiâs last season was green so I can see why this oneâs plum.
Applying self destruct boosters is a lot easier than it looks. (thinks to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, where cake makes a character explode)
Thereâs a list of ground rules, including âletâs protect morals and mannerâ...whatever âmannerâ is. I guess the Furanui Knights, who arenât actually on the ground, wouldnât be subjected to âground rulesâ, eh?
This one was clearly a case of âdidnât think of something for himselfâÂ, huh...
Do they have hot baths in Honyara Land???
Kamopapaâs VA was someone with the surname âNishimuraâ...gotta look this guy up later, I guess. Seeing the actual visuals of the ED for once is so exciting, though!
The statement on the scroll in the back means âscholarship and the martial artsâ, which is just another way of saying Ataâs a perfect student and is continually striving to be one.
Maasaâs hair antenna is a heart in the ED. Thatâll get him charm points for sure.
Lookit them badass swords! They even have corresponding gems on them!
A-ha! I thought the final defeat song was Happy Ready. These marketing guys are too predictable...
For some reason, this ED is a lot more Detective Conan than the last one. I canât quite put my finger on why though...
This next ep previewâs the best! I wanna quote it! âYou know how there are things you see every day, but you donât actually know what theyâre called, so you just say âthe thingâ or âthe whatever-it-isâ? The next episodeâs about that sort of stuff.â Update: It really is about that sort of stuff, this previewâs just uber-vague...
Mahou Shoujo Ore 3
Wow, theyâre really leaning on the 4th wall this week, arenât they?
The lyrics by and large really donât make sense, so I feel quite thankful Iâm not listening to the audio track right now, LOL.
(at âThis way, squirrel!âÂÂ) What in animalsâ name is this Pokemon? (LOL)
Hey, uh...is it just me or did both magical boy shows opt for the flashbacks this week, too?
Whatâs the age difference between Sakuyo and Mohiro? Kid!Mohiro doesnât look older than 12 here.
âThus concludes Sakuyoâs Thrilling First Love.Ââ
One thing Iâve noticed with lots of magical girls is that they have earrings. Arima (Boueibu) had them, but these guys do too.
â...looks so much like Mohiro-chan...â - Now that I look at Sakuyoâs magical boy form, he does kinda look like Mohiro eyes-wise...
God of Conquests? That refers to the main character of The World ____ Only ______, right?...Yup, I think so!
Have we been watching the same fight scene for almost an episode? Geez, flashbacks.
Can I like Mohiro-chan too? Because this eyecatch completely sold me!
The pixelationâs probably going to give me motion sickness one of these days (exaggerating), but if they overuse it, Iâm definitely gonna go on about it.
Max Heart? I wonder if Astralâll get it? I sure do, but I donât know if he will.
I think I spotted a chick design on Mohiroâs jumper...?
Wow! Self-deprecation, much? (somewhat sarcastic) (The magazine this series ran in deals with BL, according to the blog header here. Mahou Shoujo Ore flip flops over that boundary, so you can see how it got into it...)
âWherever thereâs a magical girl, thatâs where youâll find me!â (Or should that be plural?)
Oh no, donât even try going there, Sakuyo (laughing as I type this)...thank goodness they didnât compare their...uh, hand grip. Yeah, the strength of their hand grip! (sweat sweat)
What was Saki drinking, wine? (somewhat sarcastic, somewhat skeptical)
Asano Shinbun is a parody of the Asahi Shinbun, one of the 5 biggest publications in Japan in regards to newspapers.
If you donât remember from Mob Psycho 100, âmobâ in this case means âjust another face in the crowdâÂ. Like the name âJane Doeâ in English. The henohenomoheji style is a distinctive touch, though.
Theyâre being serious about the TV appearance thing? Never wouldâve thought that, considering how that was a parody of Superman changing outfits in a telephone booth. Either that or some other superhero...
Golden Kamuy 2
Those pinecones sure look like prawns to me...
Ooh! OP! much hype, such wow. Also, a Man With a Mission OP is definitely something to keep an ear out for.
(in the OP) The letterboxing effect is cool here.
Sugimotoâs asking about tattoos because people with tatts wouldnât be allowed into baths. At least, thatâs the rule nowadays...
Karafuto.
This guy reminds me of Kaiji...or Akagi...or whatever the guyâs name is.
Gah, enough with the fire! This isnât Blingee, for gold diggersâ sake!
Well, at least Sugimoto and Asirpa can take the skin nowĂą...
The Ainu cooking show strikes again. Not that Iâm complaining about it, itâs strangely interesting in an odd way. Not to mention the action mitigates any weirdness these parts might give the show.
Squirrel brain. Never in my life would I have dared to type thatùŠuntil now. (Or eat it, but please donât make me harm cute squirrels...)
I think IĂąâve seen so many Shokugeki no Souma parodies/variations, I kind of expect every (pseudo-?)cooking show to do something like it. The fact Golden Kamuy didnât do it surprised me in that way.
This guy! He did a Valentineâs promo for the show! His nameĂąâs Shiraishi!
What a regular Houdini, eh?
This show is so comical in such a way youâd never see in another show. I love it.
Shiraishi with a raccoon on his head, LOL.

Dios MĂo! -Â âKota//Pan
Wakey wakey eggs and tofurkey bakey- starter for @mppan
//
Music pulses from the boombox that rests near the resting place of the god of the forest Pan. For days and nights both Dakota and Eros had taken great care to tend to the sleeping form of the deity. For the first wave sent out by the other the pair had been taking time to come and visit the spot where the great god and set into the earth.
Eros had believed him dead so the shock of that murmur of his soul had shaken the winged god. Over the course of weeks, various gods had lent their assistance in their own way to bring life back to the dormant body of the god. In his own way, the lavender-haired demigod had taken part in the rousing of the god. Into the earth, he danced and stomps patterns of ancient ceremonial dances to draw back from the ground the spirits of those departed. Sweat and determination and time and all his energy went into every step, into every chant, into every stalk of corn that shot up from the broken earth around the sleeping god.
Itâs no different now as he dances over the ground, sneakers caked in dirty and body moving to the sounds of some Shakira song he is playing more for a change of pace to the traditional hymns he had been using prior. Heâs long ago chucked off his flannel overshirt and dances freely in the white tank top and dingy blue jeans he wears on his school days. Under the soles of his feet, the earth rumbles to life again, shaking gently again. Over the time heâs taken to keep up these visits to the god, Dakota has taken to talking aloud to the sleeping mass he is.
He circles his hips then locks them only to release and lock them again several times on one side, laughing at his own movements. His shifts his eyes to the god. âStraight fire over here!â
The youth is tired if heâs honest and slows in his movements a bit before throwing his hands and crossing to sit near Panâs body. Beside the god are bottles of rose water, Gatorade, votive candles, burned down incense sticks and dried wreaths of flowers. All of them offerings the demigod had given up according to his magickal upbringing; that street witchcraft of the city wrapped around every item and under the guise of holy things. Above Panâs head burns a wax statuette candle of the Virgin, casting light and shadows on his features. With a gentle hand, Dakota reaches out to brush at Panâs hair, eyes holding only care for the other in them as they look at him. The song changes and he chuckles as he draws his hand back and twists open a bottle of water.
â..if we donât fuck this whole thing up, guaranteed I can blow your mind.â
Dakota sighs and slips down to lay next to the sleeping god, eyes shutting as he says along with the song, âMwah.â He keeps them shut and adds, âWhen are you going to wake up Pan?â
And heâs just about to drift off into his typical post-dance nap when Dakota hears the shift. Itâs seconds, just seconds from serenity to terror as his eyes open skyward.
#mppan#[[p;// Dios Mio! ]]#-well this will be hell for a bit-#-poor dakota he was just being a good kid-

Interesting and Lesser Known Facts About Rajasthan, India with UTPINDIA
Rajasthan- The âLand of Kingsâ is Indiaâs largest state by area (10.4% of Indiaâs total area). It is placed on the north-western side of the country, where it covers most of the vast and inhospitable Thar Desert which is also known as the âRajasthan Desertâ and âGreat Indian Desertâ. It shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley.
The state was formed when Rajputana (the name adopted by the British Raj for its dependencies in the region- was merged into the Dominion of India) on March 30, 1949. The largest city and its capital is Jaipur which is also known as Pink City and is located on the stateâs eastern side. Some of the other important cities are Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Kota, and Ajmer.
Some of the most interesting and lesser known facts about this âLand of Kingsâ are:
Historical Background
1. Gurjars In this part of the country, Gurjars ruled for many dynasties. The region was known as Gurjaratra. Almost the whole of North India acknowledged the supremacy of the Gurjars with their seat of power at Kannauj up to the tenth century.
2. Gurjara-Pratihara From the 8th to the 11th century, the Gurjar Pratihar Empire acted as an obstacle for Arab invaders. The chief accomplishment of the Gurjara Pratihara Empire lies in its successful resistance to foreign invasions from the west. Historian R. C. Majumdar said that this was openly acknowledged by the Arab writers. He further noted, Indian Historians have wondered that the progress of Muslim invaders in India is slow as compared with their rapid advance in other parts of the world. Now, there seems a little doubt that it was the power of the Gurjara Pratihara army which effectively blocked the progress of the Arabs beyond the confines of Sindh, their first conquest for nearly 300 years.
3. Historical Tribes Traditionally, the Rajputs, Jats, Meenas, Gurjars, Bhils, Rajpurohit, Charans, Yadavs, Bishnois, Sermals, PhulMali (Saini) and other tribes made a great contribution in building Rajasthan. All these tribes suffered great difficulties in preserving their culture and the land. Millions of them were killed while trying to protect their land. A number of Gurjars had been wiped out in Bhinmal and Ajmer areas while fighting with the invaders. Bhils once ruled Kota. Meenas were rulers of Bundi and the Dhundhar region.
4. Major Rulers (i) Hem Chandra Vikramaditya: The Hindu Emperor Hem Chandra Vikramaditya was born in the village of Machheri in Alwar District in 1501. He won 22 battles against Afghans, from Punjab to Bengal including states of Ajmer and Alwar in Rajasthan. In 1556 at Battle of Delhi, he also defeated the forces of Akbar twice at Agra and Delhi before acceding to the throne of Delhi and establishing the âHindu Rajâ in North India although for a short duration, from Purana Quila in Delhi. While fighting against Mughals, Hem Chandra was killed on the battlefield at Second Battle of Panipat on 5 November 1556.
(ii) Maharana Pratap: In the famous Battle of Haldighati (1576), Maharana Pratap of Mewar thwarted Akbar and later operated from hilly areas of his kingdom. Maharanaâs main allies were Bhils during these wars. These attacks were mostly repulsed even though the Mughal forces outnumbered Mewar Rajputs in all the wars fought between them. The war of Haldighati was fought between 10,000 Mewaris and a 100,000-strong Mughal force (including many Rajputs like Kachwahas from Dhundhar).
(iii) Maharaja Suraj Mal: Jat king Maharaja Suraj Mal (Feb 1707 â 25 Dec 1765) or Sujan Singh was the ruler of Bharatpur in Rajasthan. A contemporary historian has described him as âthe Plato of the Jat peopleâ and by a modern writer as the âJat Odysseusâ, because of his political intelligence, steady intellect, and clear vision.
Wildlife protection Rajasthan is also known for its national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. There are four national park and wildlife sanctuaries: a) Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur, b) Sariska Tiger Reserve of Alwar, Ranthambore c) National Park of Sawai Madhopur d) Desert National Park of Jaisalmer Arid Forest Research Institute (AFRI) is a national level institute of the ministry of forestry is situated in Jodhpur which continuously works on desert flora and their conservation.
Economy a) The economy of Rajasthan is primarily agricultural and pastoral. The stateâs cash crops are Cotton and tobacco. b) Rajasthan is among the largest producers of edible oils in India and the second largest producer of oilseeds. c) Rajasthan is also the biggest wool-producing state in India and the main opium producer and consumer. d) The main industries are mineral based, agriculture based, and textile based. e) Rajasthan is the second largest producer of polyester fiber in India. f) Several prominent chemical and engineering companies are located in the city of Kota, in southern Rajasthan.

Culture Rajasthan is culturally rich and has artistic and cultural traditions which reflect the ancient Indian way of life. There is rich and varied folk culture from villages which are often depicted and is symbolic of the state. a) Highly cultivated classical music and dance with its own distinct style is part of the cultural tradition of Rajasthan. The music has songs that depict day-to-day relationships and chores, often focused around fetching water from wells or ponds. b) Rajasthani cooking was influenced by both the war-like lifestyles of its inhabitants and the availability of ingredients in this arid region. c) Food that could last for several days and could be eaten without heating was preferred. d) The scarcities of water and fresh green vegetables have all had their effect on the cooking. e) It is known for its snacks like Bikaneri Bhujia. f) Other famous dishes include bajre ki roti (millet bread) and lashun ki chutney (hot garlic paste), mawa kachori Mirchi Bada, Pyaaj Kachori and ghevar from Jodhpur, Alwar ka Mawa (Milk Cake), malpauas from Pushkar and rassgollas from Bikaner. g) Originating from the Marwar region of the state is the concept Marwari Bhojnalaya, or vegetarian restaurants, today found in many parts of India, which offer vegetarian food of the Marwari people. h) 4 Dal-Bati-Churma is very popular in Rajasthan. i) The Ghoomar dance from Jodhpur Marwar and Kalbeliya dance of Jaisalmer have gained international recognition. j) Folk music is a large part of Rajasthani culture. Some of the spirits possessing Rajasthanis are seen as good and beneficial while others are seen as malevolent.
Tourism Rajasthan attracted 14 percent of total foreign visitors during 2009-2010 which is the fourth highest among Indian states. It is fourth also in Domestic tourist visitors. Many people from around the world are coming for Rajasthan Tour because of the following reasons:
a) The palaces of Jaipur and Ajmer-Pushkar, the lakes of Udaipur, the desert forts of Jodhpur, Taragarh Fort (Star Fort) in Ajmer, and Bikaner and Jaisalmer rank among the most preferred destinations in India for many tourists both Indian and foreign. b) Tourism accounts for eight percent of the stateâs domestic product. Many old and neglected palaces and forts have been converted into heritage hotels. c) Rajasthan is famous for its forts, carved temples, and decorated Havelis, which were built by Rajput kings in pre-Muslim era Rajasthan. d) Rajasthanâs Jaipur Jantar Mantar, Mehrangarh Fort, and Stepwell of Jodhpur, Dilwara Temples, Chittorgarh Fort, Lake Palace, miniature paintings in Bundi, and numerous city palaces and Havelis are part of the architectural heritage of India. e) Jaipur, the Pink City, is noted for the ancient houses made of a type of sandstone dominated by a pink hue. f) In Jodhpur, maximum houses are painted blue. g) At Ajmer, there is white marble Bara-dari on the Anasagar lake.

Jadi, bila kamu ingin meniru gaya mereka, langsung saja yuk kita tengok inspirasi selengkapnya.
Wedding Venue
Pinterest | Courtney Knight
Wedding Cake
Kue Pengantin tema Game of Thrones â Pinterst
Kue pengantin bukan hanya berfungsi sekedar dessert tambahan semata ya.
Penampilan Pengantin Tema Game of Thrones

Aksesori Pengantin Tema Game of Thrones
Aksesori Pengantin Tema Game of Thrones â Pinterest
Inspirasi lain, kamu bisa menambah inspirasi dari Song of Ice and Fire dengan memiliki cufflinks dengan ukiran; âMoon of My life, My Sun and Starsâ
Tatanan Rambut

Things I Will Miss: The Mundane and Ordinary
My favorite thing about the YAGM program is that we come into a community to learn from the people and experience everyday life. Â Unlike on vacation where you are given the tourist perspective of a place, we YAGM get to see the nitty gritty, the not so glamorous, and experience what is normal to most people.
We get to experience and grow to love the mundane and the ordinary parts of everyday life. Â The longer I am here in South Africa, the easier it is to miss out on the things that have become mundane to me.Â
In honor of my last few weeks here in South Africa, here is part 2 of my Things I Will Miss series, here are the little things, the mundane and ordinary that I never want to forget:
- Taxi drivers who go out of their way to pick me up
- Pablo barking incessantly, all the time
(My man Pablo)
- Hearing the garage doors open and trying to guess who is home based on the sound of the garage door and the sound of the car
- The way the kitchen door fogs up because it is cold outside and toasty warm inside
- Spending time around the fireplace trying to stay warm
- The joy of getting a heater or fan depending on the seasonÂ
- The âdingâ of receiving a whatsapp message
- Â The sunrise in the morning as it fills the sky with colors and a bright fiery ball of light
- The sound of boiling water coming from a kettle to make tea
- Roadblocks and traffic on the way to and from work
- The passing of money in taxis and distribution of change
- The friendliness of everyone: always being greeted and greeting others
- Sitting around a braai listening to music and enjoying company
- Spending time with my host family, talking, and learning more about their lives and experiences
- Riding taxis everywhere (as annoying as they are)
- Being called âTeacher!â
- Hearing the many failed attempts at pronouncing my name by the students
- Seeing the joy on the studentsâ faces when they correct each other on how to say my name properly
- Walking down the street and feeling at home as I see and greet friends and students
- The smell of pap and gravy cooking on the stove
- The smell of fat cakes and kotaâs cooking fresh throughout the day
- The theme song for Isibaya and the jingle for Mzansi Magic
- The sound of someone yelling âKoko!â at the door
- Pablo and Nala greeting me with sheer joy when I get home
- Standing on the balcony looking out over Spruitview and off towards Johannesburg
(I will miss the view from our balcony very much)
- Watching Malebo walk around singing and dancing to whatever tune is playing in his head
- Finding comfort items: KitKat bars, M&Ms, hot chocolate, CocaCola, McDonalds Quarter Pounder, KFC, etc.
- Going on drives and jamming out to music in the car
- Dancing to music with friends and being sung to any time âwhite girlâ or âNew Yorkâ is referenced
- Kids at the preschool who sing songs from the radio and dance with me (they have far better dance moves than I do)
- Pretending I know the words to songs and getting excited if I time a click properly
- Taxi drivers who recognize me and spark up a conversation when I ride with them
- Being honked at as a form of hello from neighbors, friends, and taxi drivers who drive by
- Hanging clothes out to dry, and having to time it right in the winter so they do dry
(In the summer my clothes dry easily...not so much in the winter)
- Waving at neighbors as I walk to the taxis in the morning
- The guys who own/work at the Spaza shop who are always eager to say hello and get my anything I need
- The drunk guys who hang out at the shop by church and are always excited to greet me in Zulu
- The way people, in general, get excited when I can converse in Zulu
- Helpful people who translate when I donât know what the taxi driver is saying
- Singing and dancing during any and all church services (including Lent, Good Friday, funerals, etc.)
- Sharing meals with friends and family, always trying new food
- The way people jump between languages and donât even realize it
- Getting in cars and going on adventures (with family and friends), and getting even more excited when I recognize where we are or figure out where we are going with landmarks
This list goes on and on. I couldnât possibly name everything but this is just a general idea of the little things I have grown to love. Â These mundane and ordinary things have been such an important part of my YAGM year. Â This year taught me not to take any of these small things for granted, but to value every little thing around me.

Conversation
Weekend Fun
Clare: smiled encouragingly at Stacy too. Song writing might not be easy but she didn't think it would take much for Dakota and Stacy to impress Peter. She giggled when Dakota kissed the side of her head. She was going to get spoiled with all of this affection. "I know but Josephine's not really your sister and you're not dating her. I just don't want my mom jumping to crazy conclusions. Especially since I am going to tell her the truth eventually. So not the kind of false first impression I want her to have of my boyfriend." Clare crinkled up her nose. "You really don't mind? I feel bad about dragging you and Josephine into this." Clare told Stacy. She barely knew Stacy and hadn't even met Josephine yet and here she was insisting she had to introduce them to her mom to keep a cover story going. "I'll make sure Dad isn't home when Josephine comes over. He's at work ninety percent of the time anyway and doesn't really care about meeting my friends as long as Mom knows who they are." Clare sighed. "Yeah, they believe teen parents who keep their kids are selfish. So I doubt they're going to be too thrilled with your situation either, at first. They'll come around." She knew kids with more rigid parents than hers. Her mom and dad just needed to learn how to stop making broad (untrue) generalizations. "Okay it would be better to wait until we're serious." Clare agreed. They'd just started dating. She finally quieted down when Kelly mentioned putting it off until they got engaged and everyone agreed that Kelly was good at predicting these things. Clare smiled a bit and went back to eating her salad, blushing a little. She nodded about Josephine. "It's really good she has you for a friend." She'd just finished her salad and started eating her coconut shrimp when she realized everyone else was closer to being done than her. Clare listened to Dakota talk without commenting much until she was through eating. "Emi will be a huge help, we can read the signs out loud and ask her what they mean." She grinned at the mention of summer festivals. "Do they have fireworks, or singing and dancing at them?" Clare asked excitedly. She'd love going to a festival. She was sure they had food booths and souvenirs to buy too. "Those are the really pretty colorful dress-like robes with the bows right?" Clare had seen pictures of Japanese women and children wearing them. Men too, just a different version. She listened Dakota describe who in his family had gone where. "I'd love to hear all about New York later. I dream about moving there sometimes but I've never been." Clare smiled at Dakota. "Uh-huh." She agreed not wanting to expose Emi to her mom anymore than he did. "We will have to set up. My own cheering section, yay!" Clare said pleased. "Perfect. Exactly what I was thinking." She leaned over and kissed Dakota's cheek. "I'd love to go on a date to the aquarium. True but it won't be a problem." She watched Dakota interact with Emi. When the chocolate cake arrived boxed up to go, the waiter brought the check too.
Kota: listened as Clare mentioned her parents and them lying to them too much and nodded. "I agree we shouldn't do more damage than we have to and we'll tell them about Emi when the time comes." he smiled and looked at Stacy. "I'm not really dragged into this. Kota is like my brother so to me I'm helping him. I really don't mind at all as long as it's beneficial in the long run and I don't think Jose will mind as long as your dad isn't around." Stacy assured and Kota smiled at Clare. "See no worries." he added. "You can say Jos is your sister. I'm going to adopt her one day." his mom said grabbing his attention. "What?" he asked. "I am, I've been trying to and I finally got an answer. They'll talk to Jos tomorrow night and see. I know she said no last time, but I think that's because she was here and less exposed to her dad. I mean I know more than you do, Kota, her mom is just afraid to tell you and Jos is too scared to. Don't worry she's alright. It's just the school can't keep her dad from calling and often makes her talk to him which is why she calls you at weird hours." she explained. "Yea I have my phone off during school because of that." he nodded. "Is that why the guest room is blocked off?" Ash asked. "Well the guest room needs to be built. I guess guests can sleep in my mom's room." their mom trailed off. "Clare, you're sleeping in my room when you stay, Emi will sleep in with Kelly." Kota stated. "Same with Stacy." Dallas said. "Grandmother's room is one place I'm not setting foot in. I like her and all, but she kind of creeps me out now." Stacy stated. "She creeps us all out like we'll go in there, water her plants and boom there she is demanding we do something about her cold feet." Dallas said and Kota laughed. "Yes, lets plan to exhume her and cover her feet up. Right up on the top of my to-do list along for going to jail for breaking and entering." Kota laughed sarcastically. "Not to mention, her TV works. I walked by the door was open for a change, Jeopardy was on and her rocking chair was moving. I said good night, heard her tell me she loves me and closed the door for her. I'm pretty sure if I can see her rocking chair move from her sitting in it, she can pick up a shoe. Beware of pissing her off. And I'm pretty sure Clare doesn't want to get woken up in the middle of the night by anyone let alone an old lady who haunts her bedroom." he added. "She gives me candy." Emi said softly. "Ew, Emi don't eat that." Kota stated. "You could get sick." he added. "No the candy's fresh. I refill it when it runs out." Ash added. "Right, like you have extra money to splurge on candy for a candy dish owned by a woman who died a few years ago and haunts her own room?" Kota asked. "I don't look at it like extra money, I look at is as helping the dead. Besides, she gets pissed when you lay in her bed and sleep without leaving her room. I fell asleep in there." Ash stated. "Me, too by accident. I went to dust and fell asleep on the chair. Grandmother woke me up though by running her hands through my hair." Kota shrugged and listened to Clare mention them reading the signs. "We can't read Kanji." everyone said at the same time and Kota looked at what Emi was drawing with a crayon the waiter left and the activity page for her. "Thank you." he whispered to her and took the page. "See this.." he said pointing to symbols that Emi drew on the page. "That's Emi's name in Kanji. I know because when I get her papers back from school, her name is at the top of the page in Kanji. They're fine with it because none of the other kids know how to write their name yet and since Emi likes to write her name they allow it. Besides no one else knows what that means. I didn't know it was called Kanji until Emi told me it was in Kanji." he chuckled a bit. "And I only know the sounds. I was learning the sounds in school back home. We don't get to learn how to write until second grade. Preschool is where we learn how to read sounds because they're our alphabet. I'm only able to write my name because it's in the alphabet, e and mi. I just put them together to get my name. It's written with about 30 strokes in Kanji." she explained and Kota looked at her, then to Clare. "Believe it or not the Japanese alphabet is 40ish letters and based off the vowels since they're the only thing in the alphabet by themselves." he shrugged and listened as Clare mentioned the festivals. "I want to go to the Fireworks Festival. They have games, booths, and food. Emi said during the festivals they have grilled octopus which I'm not eating." he said honestly. "But they do have other foods, grilled octopus seems to be a delicacy." he added. "There's no dancing at the Fireworks Festival, but I'll look up other ones tomorrow." he promised knowing he was curious about them too and listened when she asked about the Yukata. "Yes, they're the ones with the bows. I like wearing them too." Emi answered for Kota, she knew more about the clothing than he did. Hearing Clare ask about New York caused Kota to bite his lip. "I really don't remember it much, I was ten. What I do remember is going to Time Square and going to the massive Toys R Us, Disney Store, and bookstore and getting lost in them." he admitted. "They had to call my name over the speaker in each store." he added. Hearing Clare mention the robot wars caused him to chuckle a bit. "I'm not using pom-poms." he chuckled out. "But yes, essentially we will be your cheering section, minus the pom-poms, but we'll hold up a big banner with your name on it." he smiled and looked at her when she agreed to go on the date with him. "Great, I already have the tickets." he said honestly and kissed her chastely. Once the waiters walked out with desserts in boxes located inside bags, Kota took his bag along with Emi's and Clare's and put them inside his bag. Once the check was paid, Kota helped Clare up and watched Emi jump off the chair. "Off to home." he smiled and picked Emi up as she yawned. "Someone's tired." he said and kissed the top of her head as she rested it against his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him. Once everyone filed in the van, Kota put Emi in her car seat and looked at Clare. "Can you carry our desserts inside when we get home?" he asked curiously.
