Kosmo have a good instinct, like any wild animal (even tho he's now a domestic wolf...)

He has been through the quantum abyss with Keith and grew closer to him. I think that combined to the instinct would make him the right person to know who Keith would choose as a "mate" (using the word "mate" because Kosmo might see it that way...)

Plus, in the quantum abys, Kosmo might have seen things as well as Keith and Krolia (i already made a theory about this! Go check it outttt!!!!!)

Maybe he saw Pidge in Keith's future? Or maybe in his own future ever since he's "Keith's wolf"...

So that could explain WHY Kosmo has been protective towards Pidgey...

He's curious... It's the first time that he meets the girl that he saw in these "future visions"/ he felt something special between Keith and that girl//// he smelled him on her????? Idk. One of those. (Could be smelling the mice too... But he seems to stare at Pidge (i zoomed)🤔)

Kosmo is smart. He moved everyone in a lion that he instinctively knew they would belong better (let's not mention how Lance grouped everyone...) then, he teleported to Pidge. WHY? He belongs with Keith! So why would he go back to Pidge ??? Plus, he barely know her...

My theory is that he understood that his owner was trusting Pidge a lot, that they have a profound bond and that Keith admires Pidge very much.

I didn't even mention the fact that he protected her TWICE. By stabilizing her with his head. AND THEN THAT LOOK THEY SHARED IT WAS SO CUTE..... It was like a mutual "are you ok?.."

And then by destroying the galra ships that were following them...

Best part is that Kosmo could have totally went with Lance, Lance was in danger too. But he decided to go with Pidge.

Kosmo picks up on Keith’s emotions.

The second that he senses that Keith is on edge, he’s growling and putting himself in front of Keith protectively.

if Keith likes or trusts someone, suddenly Kosmo acts like a playful puppy who will snuggle anyone and everyone.

So, no, it’s not Shiro who recognizes Keith’s crush on Lance first, it’s Kosmo.

Kosmo gives Lance large slobbery licks whenever they see each other, and tackles him randomly throughout the day.

Lance, of course, loves it. He jokes about Kosmo being his spirit animal. He cannot understand why such a loyal and social wolf as Kosmo would love Keith this much.

Eventually, he starts to realize. He sees Keith’s gaze soften and his voice sweeten when Kosmo is doing literally anything.

The man has a HUGE soft spot for his companion. And Lance may be developing a soft spot for Keith.

Good thing Kosmo is there to give them a push.

The two of them are walking past each other in a hallway, Kosmo at Keith’s heels as always.

Suddenly Kosmo decides to start running and pushes Keith straight onto Lance’s chest.

Lance wraps he arms around him on instinct, and they stare into each other’s eyes for a full five minutes before remembering to separate.

Kosmo just watches his favorite humanoid figure and favorite human fall even more in love. The sound of his tail thumping is so fast that it sounds like rain.

It’s a good thing Keith and Lance like rain.

autistic keith headcanons because i can part 1

Shiro was the person to bring it up with Keith and go to get him tested. He had been heavily masking but as he started to trust and open up to Shiro, he slowly started subtly stimming more, and not hiding his autistic traits

Little by little, he begins to open up to the others. Mostly to Lance at first, but when Pidge discovered him having a meltdown in the kitchen after a really hectic day and helped him through it, he began to trust them as well. It takes a while, but everyone fully supports him and does their best to help however they can

When Keith is overstimulated and needs pressure, Kosmo makes it his personal duty to lie on top of Keith until he feels better as like a fluffy weighted blanket

He needs his gloves to feel comfortable. They provide a sense of security to him, and help him with his sensory issues. They're really hard to wash though, and not very durable, so when the first pair fell apart Keith panicked and would not calm down until Shiro found an extra pair of his in a bag. After that, they bought three other pairs in different colors just in case. Keith loves them.

Since he is part Galra, Keith's ears are even more sensitive to sound. He is usually able to keep it handled with earplugs and headphones, but it often becomes too much for him, especially with the Castle's constant humming and fluorescent lighting. Fortunately, Coran, Pidge, and Hunk were able to work together to dim the lights in his room, helping with the lighting, and created a switch that would soundproof the room. Keith also loves to hang out in the soundproof training room for that reason, although the lights are a massive issue in there too.

The door swings open and a warm golden light bleeds out. Keith and a black, furry mass exit, and the figure of a taller, buff man stands in the doorway. They go back and forth for a minute until the door shuts and Keith comes down the front walk, opening the side door and letting Kosmo into the backseat, saying, “Careful, booger, don’t climb all over ‘im.”

Kosmo doesn’t necessarily heed this warning, because as soon as all four paws are in the car, Kosmo is nosing at his shoulder and pawing at his side and licking his ear. Keith tries his best to reign in the wild dog, but Lance just laughs jovially and buries his hands into his fur, scratching behind his ears and telling him nonsense about how handsome he is and how good of a boy he is.

“I’d say he’s not usually like that,” Keith opens the driver’s side door and slides into the seat, “But he’s a sociable creature.”

“Polar opposites attract, don’t they bud? Oh, yes they do, oh you’re so cuuuttee, you’re so much nicer than your dad,” Lance babbles to Kosmo, who woofs happily and knocks heads with Lance.

Keith pulls the car into drive, “Damn traitor dog. You’re sleeping on the floor tonight.”

“So, we’ve got your dog,” Kosmos woofs again, “What now?”

Random VLD headcannons that I've come up with.

Allura likes to listen to kpop. Mostly the girl groups, but she likes to listen to kpop.

Her favourite groups are the ones like NewJeans, IVE, and Twice. She also really likes the lesser known groups and soloists.

Lance listens to anything that he thinks sounds good. Harry Styles, LoveJoy, Queen, ABBA. If he likes it, he'll listen to it.

Pidge replaced the lenses of Matt's glasses with bluelight lenses at her mom's insistence.

Colleen insisted that Pidge replaced the lenses of Matt's glasses with bluelight lenses because of how Pidge is always staring at a screen.

Adam wore his engagement ring on a necklace bc he couldn't bear to part with it but he also couldn't bear to wear it on his finger.

At Adam and Shiro's wedding, they had a Best Man and Maid of Honor. Keith and Allura got the honor of being Shiro's Best Man and Maid of Honor.

Adam chose Curtis and Veronica.

Lance's niece and nephew were Flower Girl and Flower Boy.

Keith's house was destroyed in the invasion, so Keith went back to rebuild it with the help of his mom and his friends.

Keith lives in the house with Lance and their kids after it's rebuilt.

Kosmo is protective of Lance and Keith's kids, so whenever they're out late at night Kosmo is always there.

This works because Keith is the only one to have a creature like Kosmo as his pet, and everyone knows that, and no one wants to fuck with this teleporting cosmic wolf.

Kosmo normally teleports the kids out of harm's way if it ever arises.

Pidge grew her hair out enough to be able to tie it up. It'll either be in a ponytail or a half-pony.

Pidge drinks anything that has caffeine. Coffee, energy drinks, she doesn't care. She wants her caffeine.

Someone has to hide the caffeine from her, but it fails anyway.

Keith doesn't like coffee, because it's too bitter for him. He drinks energy drinks instead.

Allura adores Oreos.

These are random things I came up with. I don't know if anyone else has these headcannons, so. Yeah.

Also Allura liking kpop came from me listening to kpop while writing a scene for one of my fics that features Allura talking to Lance about something. I can't get that headcannon out of my head anymore.

In Chaos There is a Kosmo, In All Disorder a Secret Relationship (Klance)

(Title - partial quote from Carl Jung)

“Hey—stop it!” Lance hisses, bolting from his office to where Keith is mindlessly toying with his Harry Potter Legos—his Harry Potter Legos (and all his Legos, really) are intensely important to him, and if Keith breaks any part of that glorious castle—

“I’m being careful,” Keith insists, pulling the Lego Hermione out of Lance’s reach, “I promise.”

Lance melts. He can’t not when Keith is looking up at him with those soft eyes and jutting his bottom lip out the slightest bit. Lance sits down across from him.

The castle sits next in the midst of a wide, glass coffee table in their little living room. It’s the best place for it, and it makes a nice centerpiece. Keith hadn’t been sure about it at first, but he came around once it was actually built.

It is pretty cool, he’d said.

“Sorry,” Lance mumbled, “You're a fully adult man, I don’t know why—“

“It’s important to you,” Keith interrupts, “I get it. I should’ve asked.”

Lance smiles softly—they haven’t always been this… functional. If they were still sixteen, they’d definitely be arguing about this. But here they are, twenty-two, behaving like a well-oiled machine.

It burns something warm and full in Lance’s chest, that he and his partner have been together six entire years and have only gotten better at it. He can’t wait to marry this man, can’t wait to see his face when he proposes. God, he’s hopeless.

Lance crawls over and pulls Keith’s lips to his own. Lego Hermione is discarded carefully on the table as Keith focuses all his attention on Lance. Fingers cupping his head, mouth earnest—that’s his boy.

Three knocks on the door.

They tear apart.

“Who the fuck—“

“Open uuuuuup,” that’s definitely Hunk, which would not be such an issue if Hunk knew. But nobody knows, least of all them. Lance was gonna tell them before he proposed, sit them down around a dinner table and lay it all out piece by piece, lie by lie.

This is bad.

“Oh my fucking god,” Keith breathes.

“We’re fucked,” Lance agrees, getting to his feet and helping up his boyfriend. “We’re so fucked. They’re never gonna forgive me—“

“Where do you want me?” Keith asks, “What do I do? Hide?”

“Yeah, you and every picture of us on the wall?” Lance hisses.

Hunk and Pidge have only been here in passing, never once stepping foot in Lance’s “bachelor pad” which they so affectionately and inaccurately called it. It wasn’t for lack of wanting to—they’d asked him to host a ton of times, but he’d always make some excuse or flat out say he didn’t like the idea of people in his space.

Little did they know it’s because he doesn’t live alone, he’s nowhere near a bachelor, and he hasn’t been since high school.

And he never told them.

In six years.

He’s unforgivable.

“Fuck fuck fuck,” he’s muttering. Keith hurries into the bedroom as another round of knocks and some teasing come from behind the front door.

Furiously red and figuratively shitting his pants, he goes to answer.

“Busy?” Pidge asks when he opens it—and of course they’re here, too. As if this situation was not already bad enough with just Hunk—if they ask to come in Lance is well and truly boned.

“Is that Lizzie?” Hunk asks, and for a second, Lance is absolutely perplexed. He’s wedged in the sliver of the door he’s barely opened, trying to block their view of the apartment he very obviously could not afford by himself, and Hunk’s talking about someone named—oh. His brow furrows—but yes, reckless driving by Lizzie McAlpine is softly floating out from the Alexa somewhere behind him.

“Yeah,” he says, “What are you doing here?”

Hunk’s grin falls away. Lance feels a sharp pang of guilt in his chest—he wants this to be simple. He should’ve told them years ago, but it was complicated. Hell, Keith’s brother doesn’t even know and he stayed here for a week.

One hell of a week.

He could say they value their privacy, but mostly they’re just selfish. Contrary to popular belief, Lance is a quiet lover. Shouting it from the rooftops? Sure.

Coming home to something that’s inexplicably his? Not having to answer questions, not having people constantly asking after his boyfriend?It’s just… nice. It’s nice to be known so intimately. It’s nice to be them. No one else—just them.

“We brought takeout,” Hunk says, lifting up a bag Lance had not noticed, “We thought—“

And then, proving once and for all that the universe is not and has never been in favor of Lance McClain, Kosmo darts through the narrow space between Lance’s ankle and the door frame, and shoots down the hallway. Pidge jumps back, startled, and Hunk catches them by the shoulders, dropping the takeout. Lance, endlessly more concerned about Keith’s cat than his dirty little secret, throws open the door and is bounding down the hall in a second.

He hears a door open and close—Keith has clearly heard and is also blasting out past Hunk and Pidge, which is good, because where Lance is fast, Keith is agile. Lance gets around Kosmo and in front of the steps, at which point the animal does some insane, ineffable maneuver that sends him back the other way. When Kosmo tries to dodge Keith’s grasp, the boy literally jumps, tucks and rolls, snatching Kosmo firmly against his chest.

The cat doesn’t even wiggle—it’s as if this has all been a fun little game of tag and now that he’s safely back in his dad’s arms, everything is alright.

You know, except Hunk and Pidge.

“Look what you did,” Keith accuses sweetly as Kosmo bumps his nose into the boy’s chin. “You got papí in trouble.”

Kosmo meows in response. Keith returns to the apartment while Lance wracks his brain for what to say. Hunk and Pidge are torn between gaping at Keith—who they have rarely seen since high school—with wide eyes, and Lance, eerily silent and so, so boned.

“Go on in,” Lance says finally, gesturing toward the apartment, “We’ve got a lot to talk about.”

Thinking about Keith away on a bom mission with kos and the guy he's gathering Intel from is crafty, fights dirty and most importantly: He has his own kosmo.

It's a rough fight, Keith wasn't at his best he should've known better but he went in alone anyways.

All he can think while dodging hit after hit is how much lance is gonna rip him to pieces for being so reckless again. Hell he'd be the first to admit he deserves it but he can't be thinking about lance right now. Every stray thought, every image of lances worried eyes is a distraction he can't afford.

So Keith pushes through with as much strength he can muster. The guy is blinking in and out of existence faster than any lightning strike, almost too fast for Keith's galra eyes to see but just bright enough to spot in this dingy building.

Keith tries to utilize his own cosmic wolf the same way this man seems to be. Blinking in and out in a dance of lightning and clashes of thunder, but he slips up...

It only takes a tic, one small instance where his hand missed the clawed hand slicing down at him.

The injury he gains from this is the worst he's had in a long while...

The blood loss is near instantaneous when the metal claws leave his side. It makes him dizzy, nauseous with the taste of copper the moment they snap away from his skin but if he gives up now lance would kill him-

Oh God what would he do if he hurt lance by dying like this....

As he falls to the floor hand grasping at the wound weakly attempt to stunt the bleeding, he wraps an arm around a worried kosmo.

His last thoughts while feeling kosmo blink away is of lances face looking down at him in worry. Keith could almost swear he felt lances arms around him then and could even say they felt real....if just for a moment.

Que a kosmo so worried he does the impossible.

He blinks them To the person he knows would help Keith, the one they both trust without a second thought, their safe space, their home- He blinks them to lance sending a dying Keith right into lances arms in the middle of the Atlas, in the middle of a meeting.

"Keith?!"

And kosmo knows he did the right thing when lance starts barking orders getting Keith to a pod and coming back to make sure kosmo is safe too.

He feels a gentle hand pet his head "good job kosmo, you did so good baby boy"

Kosmo weakly nudged the hand too tired to do much else and gains a wet chuckle from lance "rest up bud, you saved his life....thank you for bringing him to me.."

Guys. Yes, s8 was a pretty trash ending. Buuuut, they gave us Kosmo! My baby! And again, the end scenes were really horrible, (mostly for Lance) but OH MY GOSH have you SEEN how BIG Kosmo is??? THERE'S SO MUCH FLOOF!!!!!

I also want to say that I am incredibly upset that yesterday's post was actually posted exactly at 12AM, and therefore my daily posting streak is broken. I'm pretty salty right now. Keith in this post is me right now.

Anyway, this is on the Atlas, so it includes the MFE fighters and crew.

Kosmo is absolutely the best boy.

Most of the time.

Right now, he is a demon. You see, he is the most obedient canine in existence, and is the sweetest puppy you'll ever meet, but he HATES baths.

He'll gladly swim through a swamp, or run around in rain that makes him smell like an odd mixture of lavender and socks.

But he HATES baths.

And when Keith tries to wash him, all Hell breaks loose.

It's a fairly calm day, at least compared to the rest of their time spent in space.

They came back a few hours ago from a planet entirely covered in marshes.

Kosmo, as usual was a great help, but the last time anyone saw Keith, the guy was chasing his wolf all over the Atlas.

The paladins and MFE fighters are trying to get to know each other better by playing 21 questions.

Hunk is in the middle of gushing about yeast with Kincade when Keith bursts in.

"Where is that DAMN DOG?"

Lance arches an eyebrow so high it flies right out of the ship and into the land of skepticism.

"Really, Keith? It's been hours since we got back. You can take down a six foot extremist purple (deformed) space cat, but you can't catch a wolf?"

Keith makes a face that almost looks like pout.

"Well, I would have caught him by now if he wasn't trying to MURDER me! So far I have been attacked by a training gladiator set on the absolute HIGHEST level, ejected into space, face planet in Collen's poop-fertilizer, gotten my hand set on fire thanks to a stove that randomly turned on, ran into SEVEN doorways, and knocked out by those gas samples we retrieved from that weird planet we visited the other day. KOSMO IS OUT TO GET ME. I just want to clean his goddamn floof!"

"Did you just say floof?" Pidge comments.

"THAT'S what you got from my whole rant? REALLY?"

Keith looks like he's about to continue his rant, when his eyes widen and his mouth presses into a firm line.

Everyone follows his gaze to where a glowing blue tail is peeking out from behind the couch.

Without any warning, Keith lunges towards it with his whole body. Like, he genuinely throws himself at it.

For a second, it looks like he's going to land on top of Kosmo and finally be able to bathe the wolf.

This, however is not the case.

Kosmo teleports out at the last second, causing Keith to land sprawled out across the floor with a painful sounding thump. That's most definitely gonna leave a mark.

Keith groans loudly.

He flips over so that he's laying on his back, but stays down.

Lifting his head just enough to look in front of him, he sees that Kosmo, the traitorous wolf, has trotted over to sit directly next to Lance.

And Lance, the traitorous paladin, makes no move to grab him.

Keith flips them both off. Kosmo can stay dirty. He'll suffer the consequences when those wicked thorns in his fur stab him while he sleeps. No, it's not petty. Okay, so it's a little petty, but Keith is ready to stoop lower than dirt at this point.

Shiro: Shiro is so happy not only for Keith, but for Pidge. Until Krolia came into his life he had no one to call his own for a long time, and this was not only different but meant he was finding his own family (excluding the team who obviously he is close with but not close with). He knows family is important to Pidge too and that Keith has just been unofficially adopted into the Holt clan.

Lance: Oh, Lance. AND JUST HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GONG ON UNDER HIS NOSE?! He goes through the five stages of grief trying to get his head around the fact two of his best friends are now romantically entangled! Nope, this is some sick joke, where's the Earth calendar, it must be April Fools! Mullet?!?! And Pidge?!?! How dare he steal her innocence by actually loving her!?! Listen, Pidge, if you were that desperate for a relationship, I can date you, just to give you the experience, and then you can go back to being you and not being a girl who does...things with mullet. No? He pouts for about a week and won't speak to either of them. Finally, acceptance. If that's what makes you guys happy, then fine. But if you hurt her...

Hunk: Teary-eyed, excited, great big group bear hugs during which Pidge pulls a face and Keith secretly enjoys because honestly he's touch starved but doesn't realise it. Hunk offers to cook them a fancy meal for date night, he just needs a few days to source the perfect ingredients!

Allura: So happy for them. She gets excited thinking this means Pidge will start wearing girly clothes and makeup for dates. Is very disappointed when this isn't the case.

Appearing in the garrison mess hall and acting surprised that they're together, then joining them for lunch. "So, Keith. What's new? Katie told me about just how form-fitting your Blade uniform is..." "MOM!!!"

Matt: Happy for them, but still has the big brother talk with Keith. He remembers just how disruptive he was back in the old days when he was a cadet and hoped that, as he appeared now, he had matured beyond his fiery temper. He had watched them together though, and could see how tenderly he looked at his sister, which did set his mind at rest but also made him contemplate far too much how Pidge had grown (glowed?) up, and how happy he made her. He's absolutely ready to go to bat for her if Keith ever does anything to hurt her!

Krolia: This man before her, the little boy she wasn't sure she would ever see again, in love! She knows a relationship between a human and a galra (even half) can be tricky, but also how rewarding. She can see just how happy the smallest paladin makes him and hopes that now the war is over they can have the relationship she always wished she could have had.
