In the sprawling metropolis of NeoTokyo, where flickering holograms paint the sky and the pulsating beats of synthwave music reverberate through the streets, a mysterious figure emerged. Known only as the Cyberpunk Idol, she was a product of a forgotten era, a time traveler from the year 2150.

Apparently the final chapter of BNHA was released and I saw the salt flow over on X with everyone whining their OTP didn't came true and being nasty and upset with Horikoshi.
Honestly it was quite entertaining to scroll through the posts of everyone being upset that a fictional ship they liked didn't came true. I'm happy that I don't have problems with things like this.
I'm rolling with laughter over the political aspect of it. The same radical leftists who'd consider the Meta Liberation Army freedom fighters and human rights activists akin to Antifa and BLM are upset that most of the heroes lived while most of the villains died.
I get it. I understand that a lot of the villains were abused children with sad backstories who are easy to empathize with. I get that the crusty ghoul walking corpse Big Bad loved his friends and didn't mean to murder his family when he was grade school aged. Unfortunately, he did mean to murder the countless people since, and it was for the best that he was eventually obliterated in the same way he murdered others. That way, he doesn't stew in an underwater prison for decades becoming a risk of perpetuating the All for One cycle. There's a bastard who should have got the death penalty right away, but then there wouldn't be much of a story.
I haven't seen much of the leaked stuff except what they posted on the Dabi tag. There are conspiracy theories floating around that it's a fake leak. We'll see maybe what? December 4th?
I get the heroes weren't perfect, -especially Endeavor- but I just saw someone compare them to cops, and that's just INSANE. Leftists are completely bonkers. Seriously, I wish there was a way to convey that sentiment to the Asian fans if only to clear my name because one of them accused me of harassing Asian fans on a site I wasn't even on. After doing research, I found a post from a timid Korean girl who was scared into deleting her ReDestro x (Various People) Old Man Yaoi after antishipper harassment. She had this to say:
In the region where I live, the term proshipper does not exist. I attempted to find a precise definition for it but discovered that, being a term born from fan culture, it seems to lack a clear and universally agreed-upon meaning. Therefore, I will base my response on the most accurate explanation I found on this informational page:
If you are looking for a simple answer, please refer to point (1) below.
Since I accessed this page via Google Translate, my interpretation of its meaning might be slightly inaccurate. Please keep this in mind, and if you find any information that needs correction, I would appreciate your feedback.
Based on the explanation provided on the page, I would describe myself as both a proshipper and an antishipper. However, to simplify and clarify my stance, I would define myself as follows:
(1) I am not an advocate for incest. I am not a pedophile. I do not support sexism. I stand for feminism. I oppose any form of harm inflicted by one person upon another and reject the suppression of human dignity. I do not support any form of discrimination. Just as I value my own freedom, I recognize the importance of others' freedoms. With this understanding, I believe there is no justification for me to suppress others' freedoms, nor for others to suppress mine. Additionally, I am constantly mindful of the potential impact my creative works might have on the world and want to emphasize that I impose censorship only on myself.
You might find my response unsatisfactory or even confusing. "What does this even mean?" you may wonder.
If you are genuinely curious about my beliefs, I feel I should explain some aspects of the cultural and geographical context in which I live.
I am from South Korea, an East Asian country with strict regulations regarding adult content. Upon reaching adulthood here, you are required to provide your fingerprints, facial photographs, and information about your home, birth, education, and residence to the government. Once this process is complete, the state assigns you an identification number and records proof of your adulthood in a database. If you are an adult male, military service becomes mandatory for a specified period. While this is a separate topic, minors here have no legal access to adult content.(The internet is a vast world, and its structure does allow minors to access illegal adult content in its darker corners…)
Even as an adult, if you create or share drawings, writings, videos, or music involving inappropriate interactions with minors—even if fictional—you risk legal consequences. In severe cases, you may be imprisoned, or at the very least, face hefty fines and irreparable social stigma.
As such, this country imposes strong restrictions on matters related to sexuality. Homosexuality (in the military), transgender issues (albeit slightly improving), BDSM, and prostitution are strictly prohibited, even though they exist underground. The same applies to minors illegally accessing pornography.
Do I agree with these laws? Yes, I do. Laws are essential to protect individuals' property and lives, maintain social order, and prevent crimes.
That said, this country’s sex education system is deeply flawed, akin to medieval times, and rampant with misogyny. Without even these minimal legal protections, our society would fall further into darkness. (If you are a woman considering moving here, I would strongly advise against it. Women here are actively fighting against misogyny and systemic discrimination. Recent issues include urging severe penalties for illegal filming crimes committed by men and opposing the government’s unilateral decision to convert women-only universities into co-ed institutions.)
Historically, prostitution became illegal here due to widespread human trafficking, and the regulation of fictional works involving minors arose because real-life crimes against minors remain a pressing issue.
The government once attempted to introduce a law to comprehensively censor creators’ works, but this was thwarted due to backlash from the creative community. This resistance stemmed less from a desire to protect freedom of expression and more from widespread public distrust of the government and legal system. Even now, the government controls the media and encourages creators to produce works aligned with its agenda. Unfortunately, this leads to the frequent emergence of poorly crafted works that do not align with social or ethical values. It is shameful and reflective of the culture that must change.
I have detailed the current state of my country to underscore that cultural differences shape our understanding and perspectives.
In the place where I live, both adults and minors exist who can easily be influenced, even by fictional works. Due to numerous wars, there are very few adults who can serve as role models for the younger generation. From birth, children are thrust into a competitive and stressful society, with temptations from provocative media readily accessible.
Because of this, the region I live in suffers from inadequate sex education and severe gender discrimination. As a result, I impose strict self-censorship on my works. I consider myself an anti-shipper when it comes to my creations. I aim to ensure that my work does not negatively affect minors or mentally immature adults. Since the government and society offer insufficient protection for minors, I believe I should provide at least a minimal level of protection on an individual level.
However, I have also studied the laws and discourses of other nations. I know of countries with relatively less gender discrimination and fewer restrictions on creative works.
In such places, sexuality is not something to be wholly repressed, as long as it occurs consensually and without infringing on individual freedoms—this is only natural and often supported by education. This is the key difference.
For example, prostitution is legal in the Netherlands. However, even after over 20 years of legalization, issues like human trafficking and other crimes persist, indicating that the system remains imperfect. Even in societies where public discourse thrives, and government trust is relatively high, certain issues clearly remain problematic. I’m well aware of this. (To elaborate, practices such as female genital mutilation in parts of Africa or child marriage in India—which forces young girls into arranged marriages akin to being sold—represent misogynistic traditions. These practices are not "cultural" but rather forms of violence, violating women's rights and personal autonomy. This is not a subject for discourse about agreeing with or supporting such a culture—it is something that must be completely eradicated as it is not a culture at all.)
But what about art? Take Gustave Courbet's L'Origine du Monde ("The Origin of the World"), for instance. The painting, which depicts a woman’s genitalia, simply expresses the fact that sexuality exists in the world—a fundamental truth, not something to be suppressed.
Of course, I’m not discussing the personal ethics or morality of the artist here. What I wish to emphasize is this: expressing something that already exists in the world should not be deemed a crime. If such expression becomes a crime, it reflects an immature social structure or the mental immaturity of the viewers receiving the work.
Thus, while I may scrutinize creators from societies similar to mine, I have no concerns about what creators from vastly different cultures produce. Why should expressing one’s desires through art be an issue? For instance, why shouldn’t someone write about a world where Cinderella and Sukuna are lovers? Every creative work has been driven by the question, What if?
What if a poor orphan girl received financial support from an unknown man? (Daddy-Long-Legs). What if, in an era where adultery was a grave sin, a woman who committed adultery sought to repent and rebuild a dignified life? (The Scarlet Letter).
Countless what ifs exist in the world. Perspectives that were acceptable in the past may become controversial today, and vice versa. What we consider acceptable is fluid and shaped by societal phenomena.
Due to the influence of my society, I am an anti-shipper for myself. However, I respect and support the artistic activities of creators who are pro-shippers in different cultural contexts. In this way, I am simultaneously a pro-shipper.
Now, I’d like to ask you: Are you a pro-shipper or an anti-shipper? Does the society you live in uphold proper values, ethics, and morals?
If you are a pro-shipper, I send my blessings, as your society must be a mature one.
If you are an anti-shipper, I also send my blessings, wishing for your society to mature in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my lengthy message. Wishing you a wonderful day.
Can you believe this shit? Some spoiled-ass sniveling rat (probably) leftist antishipper rattled some Korean girl so badly she thinks the authorities of her oppressive regime will come beating down her door for playing puppets with cartoon men. Hey, thanks for depriving someone of joy and forcing into hiding one of the couple of artists doing an extremely rare pair I was into. Another example of how toxic leftist culture in fandom ruins every bit of shit.
