amare is the second single album by south korean girl group GENESIS. the album was released digitally and physically on august 3rd, 2017 by starship entertainment. the single album contains seven tracks: “requiem”, “caprice”, “ballade”, “fantasia”, “sonatine”, “aria” and the lead single, “isadora”.

01. requiem - a sad and emotional song about one-sided love, and the singer is mourning the ‘loss’ of their loved one (they now love somebody else). this song was praised because of its powerful vocals provided by perry and amelie.

02. isadora (title track) - this song is about the feeling of time fleeting by too fast, and the singer wishes they had more time to tell ‘isadora’ how they feel about her. roseha and amelie were the centres in the chorus. perry had help in producing this song.

03. caprice - a light, bouncy song (mostly in english) about having a puppy-dog crush on someone. hyeri did the backing vocals, guitar, and had the most lines in this song.

04. ballade - a song about someone who wishes they could go back to their ex-lover. despite the name, it’s not a ballad at all and it’s notably the most upbeat song in the album. hyunbin wrote this song and said it was partly based on a true story, intriguing the fans.

05. fantasia - a light, relaxing song about friends with benefits. hyunbin actually sang in this song and fans were pleasantly surprised. she said in a vlive that “with an album titled amare, we wanted to flip that on its head and write a song that doesn’t involve romantic love at all. we hope the fans like it.”.

06. sonatine - a fairylike guitar-centric song with lots of vocals. it’s about the singer having a crush on someone and not daring to tell them, in case they won’t feel the same way. this song was produced by hwamin.

07. aria - a dreamy, almost haunting track about enjoying midnight where it seems like everyone in the world is asleep except you. the only lyrics are “i see you, wherever you are” and they are sung by roseha. it is a perfect way to finish off the album and it provides a sense of calmness.

the main concept of this album is greek mythology, so the girls were going for pastel colours and fancy ball gowns with lots of lace and tulle.

perry had black hair, hyeri had dark blonde hair, roseha had blonde hair, amelie had black hair, hyunbin had brown hair and hwamin had black hair.

the mv starts off from the end of the ‘the renegades’ music video where the girls go to an abandoned museum.

perry’s scenes were on the grass during a sunset, and the camera view was from a window on a high floor. she was wearing a yellow layered strapless dress, a flower necklace and she was barefoot. she had light brown eye contacts.

hyeri’s scenes were underwater while singing at the camera. she was wearing a black leotard underneath a sky blue sheer gown, and she was also barefoot. she had blue eye contacts.

roseha’s scenes were in a grassy field and the camera had a close bird’s eye view of her. she was lying in the grass facing the camera, while daisies were blooming out of her hair. she was wearing a simple white spaghetti-strap dress and was holding a small bunch of white lilacs. she had green eye contacts.

amelie’s scenes were in a queen bedroom, in front of a vanity mirror admiring herself. she was wearing an ivory dress with sheer glitter embellishments on the chest and sleeves. she had dark pink eye contacts. 

hyunbin’s scenes were in a forest in the evening, and she was running through it while holding a bow and arrow. she had a silver dress that reached the ground and had glitter and holographic sequins at the bottom. she used one hand to hold her dress and the bow and arrow. 

hwamin’s scenes were on a hill at night by a full moon. she wore a black low-cut long-sleeved dress with star and glitter embellishments, and she was barefoot.

oltethros (korean: 올레트로스) is a fictional south korean boy group under the fictional production company magnum entertainment. 

the seven-member ensemble debuted in the spring of 2021 with the song side effects, the lead single of their debut ep ozymandias.

On 21st July 2021, Vulkan Entertainment released 'Tiara', a short song performed by the sisters Kim Seungra and Kim Seulra. Fans of the twins from their Youtube days immediately recognised them, and knew they were training under VK. However, this release was unlike the other artists' debuts. There were no introductions or teasers of any kind; the release was kinda just, dropped into there. Fans could only wonder if the girls were really set for debut, or if Vulkan was only giving a taste of the sisters' talent.

della had song writing credits on the song and was said to have been very influential in the styling and overall direction of the era

some of the blue moon casts released showed her making mood boards and getting together ideas for what she wanted the music video and styling to look like

della was pretty confident throughout the promotions, not showing any of the signs of being nervous like jinri did

della even a special mc a few times on music shows, both before and during her promotions

Participated in MNET survival show GIRLS PLANET 999 and was very popular but chose to drop out around the fifth episode. Her grandfather got very sick and was hospitalized. Despite his pleas for her to stay on the show, she stubbornly went against his wishes. Thankfully, he made a full recovery.

Her most notable performance was ICE CREAM and other members of that group revealed that Chaewon helped mentor them and give vocal tips because the members had been nervous about their singing. Of course when that was revealed, some “antis” accused her of being arrogant or bossy.

Chaewon is known to be blunt but never with the intentions of being mean.

Her and member *redacted* did not get along well at first. They often butted heads as trainees because of how bossy Nara could be and how stubborn *redacted* is. When they originally found out they’d be in a group together, things were a bit iffy at first and while they still occasionally have their tiffs, they’ve ironed things out and get along well.

Learned Japanese from her step-mother growing up. She thinks of her as her real mother, and has always been treated as if she were her biological daughter. Nara doesn’t remember much about her bio Mom, unfortunately.

She took part in produce 101 but didn’t make it very far due to attitude problems, which got her eliminated rather quickly despite her talents. She was 16 at the time and a trainee at BigHit.

ERA TIDBITS:

The EP came out a couple days after the announcement of Sora and Sevens (@v6offical) marriage and helped smooth things out after the craziness of the dispatch article release. 

Sora and Kay both pole danced in the music video for the title track ‘Mago’. They worked with a professional to properly learn pole dancing along with a physical trainer to help bring up their strength.

Chanri was originally supposed to do the pole dancing instead of Sora, but an old injury prevented her from safely doing it.

The EP itself had a surprisingly mature theme in the music videos and outfits for live performances.

Sora shined A LOT this era. Infinity noticed how much more confident and radiant she was (and it was due to her relationship with Seven. He brought out the best in her and made her feel worthy and beautiful.)

Chanri a very close second...She had a very sophisticated and alluring air about her that brought in a lot of new fans.

A LOT of drama was going on behind the scenes at Starpunch, which almost led to the girls going on a hiatus.

The track ‘Cherry’ was produced by Yua and both her and Sora took part in writing the lyrics. The song itself is actually a dig at their manager, who has already treated the girls badly. 

There was a little backlash when the mago mv released because some anti fans got angry over the pole dancing saying it was too sexy and inappropriate.

Yua fired back at some antis in a quick clip in a vlog though cuz she’s ms. protective and doesn’t take any crap.
