THE FEALTY OF MONSTERS Illustrated by @t-hornapple
@jonphaedrus provides the best summary of this grimdark political fantasy perfect for independence day:
âyou are the proletariat in petrograd for the october revolution. you go to kill the czar butâoh wait! the vampire."
The way he enjoyed how fun and gross this book about violently preventing a forever war makes me so pleased with myself
$1.99 through July 8th on Kobo
Winter 1917. After years on the run from a dangerous cult, twenty-three-year-old Sasza and his father have established themselves among the Odonic Empireâs ruling class. But thereâs a problem: Sasza is a vampire, and vampires arenât supposed to get involved in human governance. What the aristocracy doesnât know, after all, cannot hurt them.
Unfortunately, Sasza is far more involved than a stealth vampire should be. Not only does he work to quell the rumors of the vampiresâ responsibility for an unsolved massacre, his lover is also the pro-proletariat Ilya, the Empireâs Finance Minister, who tries to recruit Sasza into the same cult hunting him.
Thenâthe Emperor declares war against the Vampire States. Diplomacy has failed. Sasza quickly learns that he will do anything to preserve peaceâincluding giving in to the monstrosity he spent so many years concealing from even himself.

Summer is here. While much of the USA has already experienced exceptionally hot temperatures, this coming weekend brings that weather to where I live. I'm set up just fine for it, but it will still be hot.
I ended up skipping writing a State of the Thatcher Address in June. The start of the month was busy and by the time I had time to write one, the month was over halfway over. But now it's July and I'm definitely not missing it this time. I feel like the image I selected for this month is a good summer image. She dressed for the heat.
This is also a good time to mention that my writing goals in the past two months did not always happen, especially when it came to my fantasy writing. I've also tried a few new things recently, which I hope readers have enjoyed. More about what to expect this month further down.
A quick reminder that you can find my books on Amazon, Smashwords, Google Play Books, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Everand. You can also read everything Iâve published under my Sadie Thatcher name since last May on Ream, which is a subscription platform built specifically for authors. You can check out my Ream page below.
Ream: https://reamstories.com/sadiethatcher
And speaking of Ream, I have a Ream exclusive novel called The Muse (extreme dollification) that is now complete. Iâve made the first three chapters available for free. All you have to do is sign up as a follower at the link above to get a taste of my first real story that is too extreme for Amazon. I'm thinking about writing another Ream exclusive, but I haven't had any ideas for it yet.
I also post the occasional bit of flash fiction for followers on Ream. I have one up already and plan to post another one this week. As soon as Iâm inspired, Iâll add a new mini-story to Ream.
On the Libby Feron front, my fantasy writing has stalled. I have shiny object syndrome. I keep getting new ideas that distract me before I can finish anything. My current novel plan is to write a fantasy novel with time travel and that is heavily inspired by Cinderella. But with the time travel element, I need to get multiple timelines figured out before I begin writing. Hopefully soon. Since I donât talk about my fantasy writing often, checking out https://libbyferon.com/ and signing up for the email newsletter is the best way to stay informed. At some point, there will be a free novella offered.
Now itâs time to talk about what to expect this month. First, I just released the first story in the Bimbo Religion Series. The first book is about the beginning of this new religion. The second book will be about getting an influential person to adopt it. The third book will be about converting an entire town. That third book will also include a return to Bimboton, which showed up in a Christmas story from a few years ago.
I also have a series in the works that will include rewriting people's lives to bimbofy them. This will be a classic three bimbos in three books series, which was my original bread and butter. It should be fun.
And finally, at the end of the month I will be introducing a series that is inspired by the Olympics called The Bimbo Games. Actually, I got the idea from the Enhanced Games, which is just dumb, but what better way to call something out than by parodying it. I don't know exactly how the books will work yet, but expect some fun there.
That's it for July. If I'm not writing this month, I will either be out running, hiking, or on my brand new paddle board. Have fun, everyone, and stay cool out there.

Shoulder To Shoulder, Hand To Hand
âHey, can we talk?â Trixie asks me as we set off home, sliding into the seat in front of me and sitting backwards to face me, joined by Penny.
âUh, sure.â I say, trying to push down the feeling that Iâm somehow in trouble.
read chapter ten on ao3!
chapter ten already! it feels surreal that this fic has gotten so long, but i'm enjoying writing it so much! i think i'll miss it, once it's over... but onwards to NaNoWriMo, i guess!
anyway, i haven't done a wip wednesday today, but thanks for tagging me @j-nipper-95 @larkral and @forabeatofadrum! i'll just tag some hellos and post about my week under the cut to make up for not writing anything recently:
first up, look at this big boy i got! it is SO HEAVY.
i actually got to see Edith Hall (and Jennifer Saint, but Edith is my classics crush (along with Natalie Haynes) (she also taught my sixth form teacher!)) at a talk this weekend, and she spoke about her connection to working class history in the area and suggested the book. it's the perfect combination of my interests, i almost vibrated out of my seat and my friend noted down the title for me without me even having to ask đ
it's completely free online on places like kindle, google books and kobo, (which is good since hardback covers are like ÂŁ130, and paperbacks like this are still fairly pricey. i got this secondhand at an absolute bargain of ÂŁ13) and there's a very abridged version in this article she wrote if you just want some anecdotes. but yeah, i'm very excited to get into this.
and here are some lovely miners banners (hello, durham area đ) that ally the miners with Roman soldiers. basically, a lot of miners would find Roman artifacts while digging and felt a kinship with the common footsoldiers of the Roman army, who did a lot of similarly thankless labour like building roads and, oh you know, Hadrian's Wall.
second of all, my sister is due her baby any day now! i'm gonna be an auntie! she was due last sunday, and is getting induced on saturday if she still hasn't had him by then, so if i don't post on sunday, now you know why.

So I've been trying to do a sale (except for the Zon) on my book for Samhain, but Kobo had technical issues until today and I had to request for Eden Books (my own fault for doing it late). So, if you'd like this book for free RIGHT NOW in all digital formats, visit Smashwords.com or my direct store. It should be free on Kobo and Eden Books tomorrow (Nov 1) through the weekend (Nov 3). Happy reading!

Doc's Big Labor Day Sale
Hello and welcome worthy friends! Celebrate your own labor by purchasing mine! As many of you know, I recently was given a chance to go on a vacation I can't otherwise afford. Jill's moving off emergency in October, and while we will absolutely be fine, and she very very much needs to, we won't have as much cash rolling in as before, and so if I want to A) buy myself some things for the trip and B) pay for some meals and maybe even a hotel night, so as not to be a complete fucking mooch, I need to raise the cash! (The Patreon will pause in December)
This is where you come in! I have nice things below that you may want to buy, things that come up in limited quantities when available and that I have moved my schedule around to accommodate.
For everything:
First come, first served! First in my inbox, first to claim. If you're second, I will keep you on hold in case person one does not pay. (I'll tell you of course)
I do NOT have to like the item. If we want me to read something and do a positive only reviewâŚI mean I guess itâs not OFF the table, but the price would be highly variable and that would be something weâd want to discuss privately before any money changed hands. Not relevant to this moment. Also, this is not a space for Holligay Hates stuff where I'm intentionally being baited, and if I feel I'm being baited I reserve the right to call it off. (Though I am possibly open to that kind of work? We'd have to talk price though it can be emotionally exhausting)
What lovely things can you purchase? And what will I be getting with these fine moneys?
A book review (Delivered in September)SOLD : $85, includes full reading of any book up to 500 pages (longer than that isnât off limits, just come talk to me) and a 2,000 word at least review of the book. You are absolutely allowed and encouraged to send me questions youâd like me address in the review, or themes youâd like me to touch on. Not a requirement though!
I have the right to veto a book and refund you, but, Iâm actually not sure what that would be, in fairness. I just want to put out there I have the right to do it.
Must be available in physical form. (Though ironically Iâm doing this to buy a kobo because I think I might like it? Maybe? I donât know, in any case it would be helpful for travel)
Payment must be made within 2 days of us closing the deal. I'll contact you, I have a couple of ways to pay
What am I getting with this commission? I need a small purse to carry around (Because I'm going to need an umbrella in the UK in winter) Here's what I'm looking at getting!
A weekend of liveblog SOLD (September 23-24): $230, This is exactly what it sounds like, two days in a row of four hours of liveblog! A great idea if you want to do a whole opening episode of an anime or continue something that I've done in the past!
I am open to doing almost anything, but as with everything, I have the right to veto the show you would like to do. If you have something you think might be a little odd, you can always talk to me! I don't get mad about saying no, as long as you're fine with knowing it's a possibility.
What I'm looking to buy with this: I would really like a pair of heeled tie shoes! I have a couple different options but this so far is my top pick, a very nice set of leather shoes that I will be able to wear for years.
Movie Review SOLD: (Delivered in September) $120, a review of any movie up to 2 hours 10 minutes. Longer movies are not off the table but will cost. My process for this is very long; details at the top of this review
But if you want to get my eyes on a movie you would really like to watch me analyze, boy is this the way to do it! I always reserve the right to veto, but there's very little I would veto.
What I will buy with this:
I am very grateful to my mother but also feel like a little bit of a loser, so we're going to go to York and I want to treat her to a true tapas meal, which she's never had before! She'll fucking love it, and this will provide us with a really nice meal and "service charge."

Heralded by readers, critics, and historians as a seminal work of extreme horror, SURVIVOR by J. F. Gonzalez is back in print for a new generation. "This novel's moral compass holds steady even during the worst moments... It is easy to feel repulsed by this novel. yet it's hard to resist; it pushes your eyes off the page and then pulls them back, forcing the kind of visceral relationship between writer and reader that the best horror fiction can produce." -- The New York Times "...filled with the most disgusting and vile things you can imagine two humans doing to one another." -- Dread Central "A work of nihilistic brilliance..." -- Hellnotes

I wrote an update last month about what was going on in the Thatcher-verse and I think I might make it a monthly thing. It will give my followers a chance to see what I have coming up.
March was a good month for me. My writing went well and my personal life seemed to be steady on the good side of things. Iâve learned Iâll need to move next year, but Iâve got time. But if you are looking to read any of my books, this would be a great time to make a purchase. I need to start saving to make the move next year.
Amazon is where most people find my books, so hereâs a link to my catalogue: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Sadie-Thatcher/author/B00B4MINAC
Smashwords is a great place to buy books, especially if you donât like Amazonâs evil empire. You can find them here: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/sadiethatcher
Plus, you can find them at the Google Play bookstore: https://play.google.com/store/books/author?id=Sadie+Thatcher
Additionally, my books are available through Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Scribd. I donât have links to those stores handy, but if thatâs where you like to buy books from, my books will show up there, eventually. I distribute through Smashwords and have to wait until the review team there approves my books for distribution. This can take days or even a week.
I should also mention that Iâm also writing fantasy novels right now under the name Libby Feron. I am currently editing my next novel that Iâm planning to release May 2 (thereâs a chance Iâll delay, but Iâm trying hard to get the book ready). Thatâs less than a month away now. If fantasy is your thing, take a look at my novels here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Libby-Feron/author/B09PJ9J5RN
And if you sign up for the Libby Feron newsletter, you get exclusive content and updates like cover reveals before anyone else. Iâm planning to write a few bonus scenes for my current series that will be exclusive to newsletter subscribers. You can sign up here: https://libbyferon.com/newsletter/
With the fantasy novel plug complete, let me also mention some of the cool stories I have coming out this month.
Iâve got two more books featuring TG in the Bimbo Beach Series coming your way. I will be submitting the second book Sunday (4/9) and the third next weekend.
I also have a new series featuring political corruption and bimbos coming soon. It will feature a shadowy cabal that uses bimbos as pawns to gain power, either through blackmail or as a carrot to entice good politicians to turn bad.
Toward the end of April, I plan to begin a series based on a reality TV show. I donât have a lot of details yet, but expect to see that in the last few days of the month
Iâve also got a commission in the pipeline that should be good. It wonât actually see the light until May, but Iâll begin writing it this month. Multiple transformations and lots of lesbian sex in this one.
Finally, the days of Fake It Until You Make It being available on Amazon Kindle Vella are numbered. I have requested the story come down from Vella so that I may publish it in other forms, including turning it into an audiobook. I donât expect anything to happen on this until early June, but this is your warning to download those episodes now so you can read them at your leisure.

People have been so nice about my book! If you're looking for a weekend read, check it out?
[ID: A starry background with the cover of Dionysus in Wisconsin by E.H. Lupton. The cover features two men, drawn in the style of Greek black-figure pottery, facing each other. Dionysus is seated, holding a thyrsus and a cup. He has leaves in his hair and wears a chiton. Ulysses faces him, wearing a leather jacket and jeans. He also has leaves in his hair. One of the ivy leaves on the thyrsus is also the state of Wisconsin. Text: Praise for Dionysus in Wisconsin: point one: "an intelligent, fun book KJ Charles would enjoy." Point two: "the magic swirling around [the characters] is fascinating and scary." Point three: "Sam & Ulysses are both delights." Point four: "I was quickly taken in by the world of magic woven seamlessly and believably into the world of late 60s Madison." Point five: "Combines dry but laugh-out-loud humor...tense action sequences, and beautifully romantic chemistry." Text below bullet points: Pick up your copy this weekend! On Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. Link in bio. Except this is tumblr, so the links are above.]

November 2023
In this chilling thriller from New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh, a remote estate in the New Zealand Alps hosts a reunion no one will ever forget.
Seven friends.
One last weekend.
A mansion half in ruins.
No room for lies.
Someone is going to confess.
Because there should have been eight...
They met when they were teenagers. Now they're adults, and time has been kind to some and unkind to others, and the cruelest of all to Beaâthe one they lost nine long years ago.
They've gathered to reminisce at Bea's family's estate, a once glorious mansion straight out of a gothic novel. Best friends, old flames, secret enemies, and new lovers are all under one roof. But when the weather turns and they're snowed in at the edge of eternity, there's nowhere left to hide from their shared history.
As the walls close in, the pretense of normality gives way to long-buried grief, bitterness, and rage. Underneath it all, there's the nagging feeling that Bea's shocking death wasn't what it was claimed to be. And before the weekend is through, the truth will be unleashed. No matter the cost...

Thank you to Rhys for this heartwarming review of Fiorenzo!
~
i devoured this book. every plot beat entangled me to read more urgently than the last. by the time the waves really crashed down on me i was only 52% of the way done and it was 5:30am, and damn it if i wasnât going to resolve just One More Plot Beat! mercifully it was a weekend.
the setting is robust, the main and supporting characters are all intensely lovable in their own ways, and antagonists are irredeemable jerks youâll be happy to loathe.
iâm not going to speak for every intersex person, but i personally really enjoyed the representation here. it was interesting and extremely hot without being fetishized, and i deeply appreciated that. i donât even like reading erotic material most of the time, and even i could tell this was salacious and deliciously written. people comment about hoping for a man that loves like the ones in Talia Hibbertâs novels, well Iâm going to add the men that love like Sebastian Nothwellâs to the list too. Iâm eager to look at previous novels.
Thank you for writing this!
~
