Emory is absolutely a speed demon, and I hope they give Winter a gps and not a paper map. Otherwise, we're going nowhere fast - possibly right off a cliff. However, I trust Banks with the snacks. She's got you covered whether you want sweet, sour, salty, crunchy, chewy, and she's got water, soda, juice, and coffee. She even remembers motion sickness medicine. And I think Damon can be trusted with music... I think? Maybe?

There's no guarantee this car gets to the destination on time... or alive. But it will undoubtedly be a good time.

Drinks and Snacks: Michael

Will is a great driver. I have no doubt we'll get to our destination safely. Rika will take her role seriously and might even find us a cool shortcut. She's got every pit stopped and cool road side attraction marked. You'll never have to worry about running out of gas or going too long between bathroom breaks. Kai's playlist would be fairly good, nothing that would annoy anyone but keep the vibe going. However, Michael with snacks? Oh, we're all getting pickle and peanut butter sandwiches. And he didn't even remember water.

We'll arrive to our destination on time and safely, but we all might be a little sick.

I am Mohammad Taysir, 34 years old, a Palestinian living in Gaza. I am married to Basma, and we have two children: Joud, who is 3 years old, and Yazan, who is 2 and a half. I am writing to you from the heart of destruction and suffering in Gaza. Our lives used to be normal, filled with hope and hard work, until war came and destroyed everything

Before the war, I worked as a mobile programmer, and my wife was a schoolteacher. We had many aspirations and lived a simple yet happy life, dreaming of a bright future for our children.

The war came and changed everything. Our home was destroyed, we lost our jobs, and we became homeless.

We tried to flee to safer areas in search of security. But safety in Gaza has become nearly impossible. Death and destruction are everywhere, and our children live in an endless nightmare. Opportunities for education and entertainment have vanished, and basic necessities are scarce. We are suffering from poverty and despair.

We are now searching for an opportunity to live in a safe place outside Gaza. However, this is very costly, and we are in desperate need of your support. We want to provide a dignified life and a better future for our children. We believe that humanity and compassion still exist, and that there are those who will respond to our desperate plea.

Every donation, no matter how small — $5 or $10, or 50$ will have a significant impact on our lives. Your contributions will help us cover the costs of travel and living in a safe country. We want to start a new life away from fear and destruction, giving our children a chance to dream and hope again.

Thank you to everyone who wants to help and support my family during these difficult times. We believe that goodness still exists, and that there are those who share our hope for a better life.

“So… who are you, really?”

“Gojo Shiki,” the girl who ended up coming out of Prison Realm instead of Gojo-sensei responds. She seems… oddly calm for someone who is surrounded by multiple sorcerers who are all in varying degrees of shock and disbelief towards her. But she doesn’t appear to be hostile even despite this, which is probably a good sign.

Yuta is still having trouble wrapping his head around this mind-boggling situation. If this was Gojo-sensei’s idea of a joke…

No. Sensei liked to play tricks on his students, sometimes, but he wouldn’t go as far as doing something like this, not when the stakes were so high and things were serious.

Still, there was a question that remained unanswered: If Gojo-sensei wasn’t the one sealed inside the Prison Realm, then… where was he?

And another question: Who was this girl that came out from the Prison Realm instead? Like Gojo-sensei, she has white hair and blue eyes, but–

“Are we sure that Gojo-sensei doesn’t have a little sister or something?” Itadori asks.

“As far as I’m aware,” Mei-san murmurs, “There isn’t someone called ‘Gojo Shiki’ who exists in the Gojo Clan at all.”

“… Eh?”

The ensuing conversation following that mildly alarming tidbit of information is convoluted and confusing, all the way up until it finally becomes clear that Gojo Shiki is from… some sort of weird alternate universe, apparently.

“You’re Nanami’s niece?”

The girl blinks placidly. “Does he not have one in this world?”

“We’d have to check the records,” Kusakabe-sensei frowns.

Another slow blink. “Why not just ask him directly?”

… Oh boy.

“He’s dead,” Yuta finally speaks up in the stilted silence that follows. Nanami Kento had been a strong Grade One, but more than his skill as a sorcerer –he was a good person. One who was well-respected and well-liked by others around him. “He was killed in action during the Shibuya Incident. The Special Grade cursed spirit responsible for it, Mahito, was subsumed by Kenjaku using Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation.”

The girl’s expression doesn’t change at all upon hearing the words. But all the same, Yuta can feel the hairs rising on the back of his neck, and it’s a little terrifying.

“… I see.” A slight pause. Then, “Who else is dead?”

“Tsukumo Yuki was killed by Kenjaku in combat.” It had been a nasty blow, the loss of yet another Special Grade sorcerer on their side. No pressure, Okkotsu. “Most of the Zenin Clan’s sorcerers are gone, too, but that’s, um–”

“I’d do it all over again,” Maki says harshly from the side, glaring. Yuta raises his hands in a clear gesture of surrender. He wasn’t criticizing!

“… We need to figure out what we’re going to do about this situation,” Kusakabe-sensei lets out a long breath. “Without Gojo Satoru… just Kenjaku is enough to give us all a headache already. And we also have Ryomen Sukuna to worry about, now that he’s taken over Fushiguro Megumi’s body, too–”

“Ryomen Sukuna is using Megumi as his vessel?”

… Yikes. Looks like there’s still a lot of things that they need to explain about the chaotic mess going on.

Tis a niche of its own

Sorry there is only two female characters, I kinda pulled these off the top of my head and probably missed a ton of other candidates. Reblog with an addition if you have one!

Edit: I forgot to make this poll a week long! Once this poll ends I'll remake it with new additions depending on the results (the characters with the fewest results will be replaced with suggested characters from the notes so be sure to suggest some!) in the meantime tho plz reblog to increase sample size

This follows my own definition of what "Comic Relief" means: A character that is used as a conduit for comedy in a piece of media

Through character studies I have determined that there are 5 types of comic relief: the Character Relief, the Audience Relief, the Tone Shifter, the Butt of the Joke, and the Slapstick. Characters that identify as "Comic Relief" usually fall into one or more of these categories

The Character Relief refers to a character who actively makes jokes to be funny in-universe through conscious humor. Examples from this poll would be Sans and Rayla, who go out of their way to make their friends laugh

The Audience Relief refers to a character who makes the audience laugh regardless of their impact on the story. Examples from this poll would be Lapis and Gus, who are often involved in comedic bits meant for audience entertainment that aren't acknowledged by the narrative as anything unprecedented

The Tone Shifter refers to a character who makes jokes to relieve tension and shift the tone of a scene, either consciously or unconsciously. Examples from this poll would be Jay and Leo, as they both consciously make jokes about grim situations to help their friends or family feel better. Additionally, Jay would do this unconsciously before his trauma made him start doing it on purpose

The Butt of the Joke refers to a character who is made fun of by other characters in-universe, whether endearingly or not. Examples from this poll would be Dewey and Lance, who are often met with insults whenever they do something wrong or silly. The insults are usually meant to be endearing and comedic, but they can still feed into the character's possible inferiority complex. This also applies whenever a villain hits them with a sick burn*

The Slapstick refers to a character who is made fun of by the narrative and the audience like a punching bag. Examples from this poll would be Sokka and Yusuke, who are sometimes put in troubling and awkward situations as a gag for the audience's entertainment alone. These gags are not fun for the characters yet delightful to watch

Most comic relief characters can be characterized as multiples of these. For example, Jar-Jar from Star Wars is both Slapstick and Audience Relief, and even if you don't find his jokes funny that doesn't change the fact that they were written with your entertainment in mind

If you're curious how a "The Narrative's Favorite (derogatory)" character would fit into this chart, they're likely both a Butt of the Joke and a Slapstick character, making their life absolute hell. To be honest, MK from Monkie Kid is an example of a character who fits all 5 categories, but he isn't blue so he isn't in this poll

*Ok if you've ever seen Phineas and Ferb Mission Marvel let me just say MODOK is a total Butt of the Joke and my favorite line in that special is when a TV announcer calls him a "Giant Chicken Egg with a Face" and I just had to mention that omg

OKAY LISTEN HERE ANON. You can't just bring this into my ask box, don't you know I'm an indecisive bitch?

I honestly did not ever think of that as something Barbatos would say UNTIL HE SAID IT. And then I lost my mind about it. Definitely always expecting Simeon to call you his little lamb because I'm pretty sure he's done that but even if not it's precious and I also love it.

Though there is something specifically about the sacrificial part, you know what I'm saying? And having a demon say that to you... yeah I'm unhinged about it.

But oh sweet angel Simeon calling you his little lamb is really good, too. I can't decide!! Maybe I should do a poll lol. Let the fandom decide. I honestly think if either of them said either of those things to me in a bedroom setting, I would die on the spot.

So... everyone here is pretty nice. I can see this room get comfortable, laughing, making sure everyone's okay with the arrangements. This room is pretty chill and you'd probably get some decent rest and have a fun time.

Room 2:

This room is probably also having a pretty fun time... bullying each other. The amount of snark being contained in these four walls! Not sure how relaxing it's going to be, but it'll be funny. So there's that.
