In the vast and intricate realm of metagenomics, where microbial communities unveil a wealth of biomedical knowledge, a groundbreaking development has emerged. Scientists from Pennsylvania State University introduced MetagenomicKG, a new knowledge graph built to take the exploration of metagenomic data to unprecedented heights. This revolutionary resource has the potential to change how researchers address the complexity of microbial ecosystems and provides a comprehensive and interconnected framework tailored to the unique needs of this emerging field.
The large amount and diversity of genomic content in microbial communities make metagenomics an affluent area of biomedical knowledge. However, traversing these complex societies and their vast unknowns often depends on a variety of reference libraries, each with a specific analytical purpose. From the Genome Taxonomy Database (GTDB) and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) to the Bacteria and Viruses Bioinformatics Resource Center (BV-BRC), these repositories are essential for the genetic and functional annotation of microbial communities.
Despite their valuable contributions, inconsistent nomenclature or identifiers between these repositories present challenges for effective integration, representation, and use. Enter the Knowledge Graph, a powerful solution that organizes biological entities and their relationships into a coherent network, revealing hidden patterns and enriching our biological understanding with deeper insights.

Engineering Ghosts in the Machine: Digital Personalities
(draft) This chapter explores the development of “ghosts in the machine,” or digital copies of personalities, by leveraging cognitive architectures, graph databases, generative AI, and all the records we have on any given individual we want to emulate or replicate in the machine. This, of course, would not be the same person. Even if we go so far as to say this ‘copy’ is conscious, it still…

Samsung launches Galaxy S25 smartphones
Above: Samsung’s Galaxy 25 smartphones, camera arrays up. Photo and images courtesy of Samsung. BitDepth#1496 for February 03, 2025 If there was any theme underlying Samsung’s launch last week of its new S25 line of premium smartphones, it was artificial intelligence. Specifically the Gemini AI model developed by Google which takes pride of place on these new Samsung devices. There was little…

Pizza Data
Im doing a Knowledge Graphs Project for my University with some friends and we just discussed 1.5h about how to properly arrange some pizza places, their menus and addressen. xD Its quite fun but also confusing if your goal is to do it efficient, easily understandable but also cross compatible to what others would possibly do.
(Unrelated image but i liked it in the context. Heres the source: https://bigdatapizza.com/)

Can I be honest here,
I find highly ironic that people will harass new fans just because "ew you don't know all the 400 books and 200+ short stories, you're new and ignorant, ew", then will proceed to correct them and
*drum roll*
They are wrong or hold incomplete knowledge themselves.
#where is that graph showing 'how much you know ' and 'how secure ypu are about your knowledge '#literally a good chunk of the fans here#someone should inform these people that books are meant to be read and that listening to podcasts is not the perfect way to get all the info#especially if you follow those big guys who literally read the wiki#ironically enough those who are really human libraries of the lore are actually chill and understanding

misreading demons as desmos is a new low in my course to becoming an engineer
#I mean technically i already am an engineer#Like legally im already allowed to call myself that i have an eng. title#(Not to be read as english)#But i am still studying so point still stands#Also i stayed up till 5am yesterday doing statistic and (not so fancy) desmos graphs about marauders fics#So i think im usimg my knowledge well#I need a tag for general ramblings#The peanut saga

rewriting the system my bachelor project is based on for the third time
#the picture is just me throughout this project#also I’m totally not ditching other coding stuff I should be doing in favor of rewriting most of that system again#this is kinda how it’s supposed to work ig with changing/evolving demands towards functionality and output#+ evolving knowledge on the topic that makes tackling challenges easier#it’s kinda stressing me out how often I’m reworking that system tho but I’m also excited because I just love making stuff more effiecient :D#three times is kinda underestimated because I’ve tried to rewrite it two other times but those attempts failed lol#sina’s rambling#uni tag#<- this will only exist for the next 4 months but whatever#also I just love that picture so much I think about it every time I’m in emotional turmoil#I just love memes and reaction images that include graphs

KNOWLEDGE IS THE RESULT OF UNDERSTANDING
Dow Jones Factiva news is a powerful business intelligence platform for actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and to proactively identify and respond to opportunities and risk. This intelligence (facts) from news, however, is gleaned by human analysts actually reading to make sense by understanding the content, which remains a time consuming and arduous task.

I have like three diff pieces of paper with turtles time fuckery on it and its very enriching but not quite. As nicely diagramable. Really sad cause im trying to figure out if it did sim. Simletain. Uh. Things at the same time circumstances. The hs words. You know em.
#some shit#turbles...#in part cause heres more things to track (both characters and events)#and for. graphing for shared knowledge versus. not. is diff.#but theres a 1. prime time line. 2. different 'world' time line (but it might as well just be a diff 'planet' as it were) so.#even if it isnt lit. same dimension. it is.#3. an alt earth time line with alt version of the character. so. diff dimension.#4. a time line thats. well just prime time line space future. ~120 yrs is what im calling it#and 5. off shoot time line thats. actually a result of this. time travel event. and also 40 years in the future.#all this to say. relative to each person (turtle) who transfers to the diff lines. like after some amount of time passes. from their pov.#one character trying to get them back in the prime line. causes them to partly phase out of place were they ended up.#until it works and they. all leave their timelines for the main one. at the same 'time'.#im so tired just from typing that. no one is obligated to try and understand it oh my god.

Functional connectivity and causal connections across different neural units are two main categories for how fMRI data on brain connectivity patterns are categorized. Recently, computational techniques—especially those based on graph theory—have been crucial in helping us comprehend the structure of brain connections.
In an effort to understand the neural bases of human cognition and neurological illnesses, a team at the University of Florida conducted a systematic review of how brain features might arise through the interactions of different neural units in various cognitive and neurological applications utilizing fMRI. This was made possible by the development of graph theoretical analysis.
A central and enduring aim of research in the psychological and brain sciences is to elucidate the information-processing architecture of human intelligence. Does intelligence originate from a specific brain structure or instead reflect system-wide network mechanisms for flexible and efficient information processing?
