IN THIS MOMENT: We 'Will Now Be Stepping Away To Take A Break And Create The Next Chapter Of Music
Grammy Award-nominated act IN THIS MOMENT has thanked fans for their support during the band's just-completed headlining tour across North America, featuring special guests KIM DRACULA, NATHAN JAMES and MIKE'S DEAD. "The Godmode Tour Part 2", which continued the celebration of the release of IN THIS MOMENT's 2023 album "Godmode", saw the band perform at arenas and amphitheaters across the country.
Earlier today (Thursday, December 12),IN THIS MOMENT released the following message via social media: "ITM just wants to thank everybody for all of their overwhelming support for this last 'Godmode' album cycle. We appreciate you all more than words can even express.
"ITM will now be stepping away to take a break and create the next chapter of music."
"Godmode" arrived in October 2023 via BMG. The LP was produced by Kane Churko (ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, PAPA ROACH) and Tyler Bates. Bates produced, wrote songs for, and played multiple instruments on albums by MARILYN MANSON, BUSH and ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell. He is best known, however, for scoring the box office smash "300", the Emmy Award-winning Showtime series "Californication", the "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and "John Wick" film franchises. IN THIS MOMENT's song "I Would Die For You" appeared on the soundtrack for "John Wick: Chapter 4", for which Bates wrote the score.
With a Grammy nomination ("The In-Between", 2021),platinum and gold record sales, multiple Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 ("Black Widow" and "Ritual"),hits including "Whore", "Blood" and "Adrenalize" and career streams of more than 1.3 billion, you'd think IN THIS MOMENT might rest on their laurels. Instead, they've created "Godmode", 10 dynamic songs that mark a new high for the quintet, further cementing their legacy in the heavy music world. Proof positive is in "Godmode"'s first single, the industrial-heavy yet ultra-melodic "The Purge", and its darkly cinematic video directed by Jensen Noen (BRING ME THE HORIZON, DEMI LOVATO). From the portentous start of the '90s-tinged "Godmode" with Maria Brink's powerful primal scream to the pitch-perfect cover of Bjork's 1995 "Army Of Me" to the impassioned pain to partnership in "Everything Starts And Ends With You", "Godmode" is a cut above.
IN THIS MOMENT, a touring juggernaut who've slayed stages worldwide at Ozzfest, Warped Tour, Download, Knotfest and Rocklahoma, put out "Mother" in 2020, during the pandemic, giving fans something to hold on in during that bleak time, and earning "The In-Between" the band's first Grammy nod. It was 2021 when Howorth and Brink first wrote with Bates on "I Would Die For You". Following that collaboration, the duo were writing organically, for pleasure, not focused on the next album. As the pandemic waxed and waned, Howorth learned programming, and created music around synthwave sounds, which Brink leaned into. Her lyrical ideas arose both from soul-searching and "humanity and so much crisis and so many heart-wrenching things in the world. That negativity and darkness is how songs like 'The Purge' came about," Brink explained.

I hope Till is going to be okay on those Knotfest dates he is doing. They’ll be the first shows he has played outside of the Rammstein/Lindemann bubble since the allegations happened. I’ve seen a lot of Slipknot fans online calling him a rapist and saying he shouldn’t be allowed to play at Knotfest.
Yes i hope Till is alright right now, and doing the tour too, but it's not his first tour with this band and since that time. I'm hoping his team know what they can expect by now and shield him where needed..
The Till Lindemann band already toured Europe in nov/dec 2023, and after that three concerts in Mexico end 2023/start 2024.. see info from lindemannworld.com and screengrab from till_lindemann_official IG
I don't have much on that tour on my blog (not really into the imagery he uses for that band) but there are some very dedicated till blogs on tumblr, i'm sure you'll find a lot of info of those concerts there 🌺

First, Sabaton fans tried to get Till and Rammstein booted off the Metal Awards ballot because "Till was accused of being a rapist", and now, Slipknot fans are whining at Slipknot for "hiring known abusers" because Till will be appearing at Knotfest Iowa.
-No evidence whatsoever was found to support any of the "accusations" against Till, even after investigators begged and offered protection for anyone who wanted to come forward.
-Young me would be disappointed to learn that metal fans are such whiny, spiteful hupocritical assholes.

i'm not a poppy hater, because for that you need to be her fan first, I'm just curious to know why this hate wave about an alleged relationship between them. I'm a Bad Omens fan, and that's why I wanted to know who his image was related to. Like I said, since the V.A.N.'s launch she was suffering a hate wave just because she was near Noah, but that happens in most Fandoms, however, it got a lot worse, so Noah himself received hateful comments. I'm gonna point out that during her show at Knotfest, I actually saw her as an artist with great potential, besides being extremely charismatic on stage, but that's what I think about her as an artist and singer, as a person all they're talking about seems awful and heavy.

Welcoming an artist at the airport is a completely normal thing in our country, there are videos circulating of all the fans present being as respectful as possible knowing the whole history. I really like the work of those guys but they are not special and like any other band that is playing at Knotfest and for the first time in Brazil, they went to welcome them
Yes, like I said, people weren't being loud or anything. Noah even waved back, so that shows that he wasn't uncomfortable or anything like that.
People were there to see Slipknot and Baby Metal arrive, not only Bad Omens. I understand people's concerns, but a handful of people greeting them at the airport isn't that deep.

Poppy dad is half Mexican half portuguese and her mom is white. Just because she’s white passing does not make her less of a women of color. Also she’s played Glastonbury before I don’t think she getting booked because of Noah. Iv only heard good things of her live show. Maybe give her a chance when u see 30 sec to mars.
Common misconception by non latinos. Not all of us are POCs. There are white, brown, and black latinos and every shade in between. Being from a spanish or portuguese speaking country or having parents or grandparents from those countries does not automatically make you a POC. You can be latino/latina and still be white. Not all of us look like whatever stereotype you see in movies and media.
I had only ever heard of Poppy when her own fans were making fun of her not being able to sell enough regular tickets or vip tickets to her last Europe tour that she did after touring with Bad Omens. I like her song with Knocked Loose more than I like V.A.N but have never seen a live set of hers. I wonder what the reaction to her Knotfest set will be and if she has a lot of fans over there.

fanfic became "bad" (it's not that's so stupid) because people started sending fic to band members, even when they'd said they didn't care if people did it, they just didn't want to see it. Bad Omens fan base is also just really bad for infantilizing the band, like these aren't grown men who can speak for themselves. 99% of us fic writers go out of our way to make sure the bands don't see what we're writing. Unfortunately some people think it's funny to send our shit to them anyway.
that's so weird wtf 😭
didn't bad omens do an interview at knotfest a few months where they talked about how they don't like being infantalized like that? i think remember seeing a clip of it on tiktok.
people are weird asf for sending fic to the bands though wtf? they don't wanna see that stuff 😭 they know it exists though, and the ones who don't like it typically say something about it, right?
i wanted to ask about it since i saw people on twitter basically doxxing fic writers and thought that was way out line, and kind of out of character for most people in bandom.

JINJER Releases New Song 'Someone's Daughter'
Ukrainian modern progressive metal icons JINJER have released a brand-new, blistering single, "Someone's Daughter". The song arrives with a thrilling music video, and is now available on all streaming services worldwide.
JINJER singer Tatiana Shmayluk comments: "'Someone's Daughter' is an artistic attempt to cast the light on the inner world of women, who in various scenarios and circumstances have had to choose a path that was historically made by men.
"In a world where women are often underestimated and overlooked, they are still powerful heroes who navigate hardship with strength and resilience, unapologetically becoming themselves and breaking barriers in the face of the challenges that face them.
"'Someone's Daughter' celebrates transition from naivety into wisdom, weakness into force, unwavering determination and fearlessness as our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives walk through adversity and fight for better change. These women are often forgotten but they have earned respect. They've earned mine, that's for sure!"
JINJER recently completed recording the follow-up to the 2021 album "Wallflowers".
During an appearance on a recent episode of Knotfest's "She's With The Band", Shmailyuk spoke about the progress of the songwriting sessions for JINJER's new LP. Tatiana said: "My purpose is just to write lyrics and sing them. I'm so behind right now with the writing lyrics. And I warned my guys. We were at least to get a really rough draft, rough sketch or a demo of one song, like maybe first single from the new album, at least get this, but nope. [Stress and creativity don't] work with me. Well, but when the deadline's coming, and everybody knows that — I've been talking, like, every single time we release a new album, I say that, I say this — deadlines push me. So I just have to write, so I get this stream of consciousness, basically. I write down whatever the bullshit is in my head. And then you build it. At least you have to have bricks to build a poem or whatever it is, just lyrics."
Regarding the musical direction of the new JINJER material, Tatiana said: "It's gonna be different, first of all, because I feel that the music differs a lot. And to my mind, the whole — I won't say how many songs are there; I guess 12 or even 15; let's say 13; I don't remember — but they all have… not all of them, but half of them, at least, they have a similarity in them. They're similar to each other or they remind me. They have this concept within — without any lyrics, they still sound like they belong to one box. They are a set of songs. And I already think about all the… I'm not even thinking about like the lyrics — I think about the topics and stuff, but I think about the booklet or the cover or even the music videos and what I'm gonna wear there. And it has a certain flavor to me that… I feel like it has this flavor of 19th century. It's very romanticism from the 19th century. If you listen to it, you will think, 'Oh.' You know, when you listen to MUSE, you feel he was inspired by a lot of classical composers — obviously. So our new music has this flavor. And I'm so excited."
JINJER will embark on a North American tour in the fall. Support on the trek will come from fast-rising Japanese metalcore unit HANABIE and progressive metalcore mainstays BORN OF OSIRIS.
JINJER released its first official live DVD/Blu-ray, "Live In Los Angeles", on May 17 via Napalm Records. Recorded and filmed on December 22, 2022 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, this offering is intended to celebrate not only getting through the last few years in one piece, but also the band's 15-year career.
"Live In Los Angeles" was a spontaneous decision by the band, recorded as raw as possible, to emphasize the passion that can come from a live show. This release is an explosive mixture of JINJER's discography — featuring fan favorites like "Sit Stay Roll Over", "Home Back" and the game-changing "Pisces". The live album contains 16 songs in various audio formats, with some strictly limited: the deluxe digipack features not only a DVD, but also two more songs, "Wallflower" and "Disclosure!", recorded in Paris in 2023.
JINJER is:

What is A/B/O? 😁
It’s a trope of fan fiction, based around the mating cycles of alphas, betas and omegas.
Mature themes below the cut!
I am aware that Knotfest is an annual festival with several global locations, organised by Slipknot, but I was referencing what is called “knotting” in A/B/O fics, when the alpha nuts inside of their mate and their bellend mushrooms outwards, meaning they can’t pull out until it goes down. This is a means of keeping the cum inside and helping to impregnate their mate.
The joke loses the tiny semblance of wit it had when it’s explained lol 🙈

🙋🏼♀️ avid heavy metal listener here
I've been kicked in the back of the head in the pit during a Meshuggah show. I was knocked down, and had so many help me back up.
I was elbowed in the face by a super prissy attendee at Knotfest. The people around me rallied together to have the person evicted from the show.
I was given a closed electrolyte beverage at Sick New World because I started getting dehydrated.
We are nice, y'all. Even us stupid ones that forget to drink water and wear sunscreen. I'd rather be in a pit in an In Flames show than be on the floor for a Top 40 artist. Pop fans are mean gatekeeping elitists.
Yes, I am a straight man. Yes, getting the shit beat out of me in an all-male mosh pit is an erotic experience for me. We exist
