I've made a pokemon AU for Peter :3 yaaaay! Doubt I'm the first to draw him as a sneasler but I'm not gonna let it stop me.
Some information!
Sneasler ♂ lv???
Dark / Poison Ability: Insomnia (might change this) Lonely nature + quick tempered Main Attacks: Slash, Lash Out, Dire Claw/Poison Jab, Hone Claws/Nasty Plot Lesser used: Bite/Crunch/Jaw Lock, Close Combat, Thief, Endure, Spite
Design notes:
Very tall (6'5'') and thin, even by species standards.
Completely hairless (and featherless) and by extension, no facial or feet markings. Torso and poison are discolored (both blue)
Ripped off both his forehead and chest gems, there are faint scars where they used to be. The one on his chest is covered by a gem you gave him.
Wears a hood made from a Mightyena's pelt.
The back of his claws (the blue part) is razor sharp, they're basically gigantic knives. If getting backhanded by them doesn't kill you, the poison probably will.
From a distance or in dark lighting, he can be easily mistaken as a human. He can also speak our language (just like meowth), his voice is raspy and a bit deep, perhaps from an injury.
The PeterAU x Reader story outline below, if you're interested!
Character/Story notes:
(OOOPS this sort of became a whole story teehee oh well. This is basically what my outlines look like but I probably won't make this into an actual fic. So, enjoy!)
He has no name, but wouldn't mind if you gave him one.
He grew up with a fascination for humans, and even learned to speak our language, but was betrayed by the ones he had trusted. He almost died, and was left hideously disfigured in the eyes of his species (furless/featherless and discolored). For a long time he hated all humans, and would murder any unfortunate enough to enter his territory. Until he met you.
He saves you from being eaten by a pack of Mightyenas, which goes against his usual hatred for your species. He stalks you through the mountain forests for a while, thinking that he'd gather reasons why you deserve to die so he can savor killing you himself.
Instead... he gets attached, and that infuriates him. From the shadows, completely unbeknownst to you, he helps you return to civilization. He looked forward to forgetting you, and going back to the worldview he's comfortable with.
But then you keep coming back to his territory, which is bad for two big reasons. He doesn't like the effect you have on him, and the area is dangerous... he doesn't want you getting hurt. So, without revealing himself, he tries multiple times to show you how his mountains are no place for a human. Nothing works. Ironically, he also does things to protect you from real threats.
His fleeting attachment for you grows into a burning obsession in time, and he wants so badly to interact with you. But not only is he a pokemon... he is also ugly.
One day he slips up, and you spot a glimpse of him through the trees, but it's too shaded and you mistake him for a person, and you call out to him. Instantly understanding what you've mistaken him for, he tentatively responds, but refuses to leave his hiding place. You figure he's just shy, but are happy to see another person who isn't afraid to visit these mountains, which have a horrible reputation. Probably because he's been killing people, but you don't know that. It's a shame, because you find it so beautiful up here...
Visiting him becomes routine for you. He says some really weird things, but the way he views the world is so unique and refreshing, and you form a fast friendship. He is very stubborn about remaining out of sight, but does start altering his appearance so he can stop worrying that the occasional glimpse you do get might give him away. He tailors a crude Mightyena hood for himself to obscure his face and ears.
He becomes desperate to spend more time with you, especially when you start talking about moving away someday soon, away from the town full of people who don't understand you. He wants to go with you... he wants to be your pokemon, but thinks you won't accept him as he is. His past with humans has him believing that trainers only value beautiful or strong pokemon. So he starts doing crazy things to prove his worth. Like, killing the strongest pokemon in the area, and leading you to its corpse to gauge your reaction. He hoped you'd be in awe and wonder what could've felled such a beast, and then he would reveal that it was him... but instead you were terrified, and sad for the dead pokemon.
It shakes him, makes him hate himself so much more. If a monster isn't what you want... then he'll just have to become human for you. He destroys the parts of himself that makes him different from you, starting by ripping off the gems on his chest and forehead. His claws will be next... but the pain and blood loss from just the gems is too much, and almost kills him. You find him while he's passed out, and although you don't recognize that he's who you've been speaking to, you rush him into town and save his life.
He wakes up in a pokemon center surrounded by strange humans, and freaks the fuck out. He wounds one of the nurses badly and would've killed someone he didn't hear you screaming at him to stop. The future he built up in his head, of either becoming your pokemon or close enough to a human that you might accept him, shatters in an instant. He runs, breaking out of the building and mindlessly fleeing into the mountains. You're shocked by his reaction, and something about the silhouette he makes as he escapes through the trees is familiar...
The people in the town know that he must be the monster that's been killing people, and at the same time, you realize that he's actually the boy from the mountains. Your dear friend. An armed mob storms into his territory intent on revenge, despite your protests. They locate his den and start a fire to smoke him out or kill him via burning or suffocation.
You had followed them, and when they start the fire you try to physically stop them. They're stronger though and throw you to the ground, yelling insults at you for defending such a loathsome creature. They kick you into the den so you can burn with him.
You hurry further inside but can't seem to find him... instead, he finds you. He lunges from the shadows behind you, not realizing who you are, pinning you to the ground and snarling in your face. He would have ripped your jugular out with his teeth if you hadn't wrapped your arms around him and hugged tight, instead of fighting him off like he expected. It confuses him and he thrashes to get away but you don't let go, and he slowly comes to his senses, realizing that it's you.
Why are you here, after everything he did? That he's done, his reputation as a people killer? You know who and what he is now, but you're still here and the way you hold him, whispering soothingly into his ear... Is this really happening or has he finally lost his mind? He breaks down and squeezes you back, sobbing into the neck he'd been seconds away from tearing his teeth into.
Smoke starts robbing his den of breathable air and brings the both of you out of the moment, forcing you to confront the situation at hand. You try to run back to the exit first, but it's engulfed in flames. He takes you further inside, to where he usually sleeps, and light shines through a crack in the rocks above. He pushes you up to it and you crawl out, but he's too big to follow and he urges to go without him. This is the fate he deserves.
But you refuse, and start tearing at the stone and dirt above the opening with your bare hands. It finally sinks in, seeing you desperately trying to save him, just how much you really care and maybe... maybe that means his life might be worth living after all. That he deserves another chance.
He joins your efforts and uses his claws to pry apart more of the stone. It takes a gargantuan effort, and he starts to pass out as the oxygen in his den dwindles. You grab onto his arm and pull with all of your strength, and against the odds are able to drag him out.
You're both exhausted and completely out of breath, but you drag him into another embrace anyways. You tell him to never ever sacrifice himself like that again, that he's so important to you and you'd be devastated to lose him. You ask him... if he would go with you, away from here, and although the strong emotions that overtake him have him choking up too much to respond with words, the way he holds you back is all the confirmation you need.
Together the two of you travel far, far away, going on an adventure that explores the best and worst that humankind has to offer, and form an unbreakable bond.
Aaaaand that's it! Sorry if it's pretty cheesy hahahaha it's just what my brain went for in the short amount of time I wrote this up. Again, probably not going to write an actual fic out of this (or at least I won't consider it until my current one is finished) but I had a lot of fun and it was a nice little break before delving back into Angels Fall. Hope you guys liked it too >w</

[Altogether in a less messy way now, and I wanted to explain them (under cut)]
Eevee-> Umbreon: Because I wanted to do a twin thing where Jar has Espeon, so Jay has Umbreon
Ghastly -> Haunter -> Gengar: I mean, do I need to explain this one? Look at Gengar. Its obviously something for him.
Zorua -> Zoroark named Shadow: The colors, the aesthetic, the trickery
Scraggy -> Scrafty: Dark/Fighting little punk dude is fitting
Inkay -> Malamar: Dark type, deep sea because he has a thing for the waters and had an AU where he's from the deep sea
Pumpkaboo -> Gourgeist XXL (+many other pumpkaboos omg he has so many): Because Jay is all Halloween all the time, plus the more lost souls in the area, the bigger the pumpkaboo. Wonder how he got that.
Chinchou -> Lantern: Angler fish based, another AU reason where he was like an angler fish person
Seviper: Jay's neck tattoo is a snake, he has a thing for snakes, also this thing's fangs and tail are basically knives
Murkrow -> Honchkrow: I needed to give him a dark bird and at the time that was like, it. Also corvid and it being a crow, and crows are also often linked to spooky things
(Galarian) Meowth -> Perrserker named Menoetius: Finally a REAL GOOD excuse to give Jay my favorite pokemon; it gained a steel type and viking berserker themes! Jay's abilities are kinda berserker like. Plus perrserker's claws can form into daggers
Impidimp -> Morgrem -> Grimmsnarl named Grimmdark: The perfect fairy type for Jay, its a little heckin' imp! Goes well with Jay's very impish nature, and False Surrender is a good move. Also big beef look with long hair.
Rookidee -> Corvisquire -> Corviknight: Corvisquire specifically looks like a Blue Jay, which is Jay's bird (and namesake). Jay's are corvids. Yeah
Quaxly -> Quaxwell -> Quaquaval: A water type starter that gains a fighting typing. Fancy show bird.
Mankey -> Primape -> Annihilape named Appolyon: It got so angry it heckin' died and came back to fight some more. A literal Rage pokemon.
Shroodle -> Grafaiai named Vandal: Jay does vandalism. Its like the most minor of his crimes.
(Paldean) Tauros named Asterius: To go with a Minotaur theme, because its a monster that suits Jay. Also its fighting type now and also all black. Also Jay kinda has some bull-like qualities.
Bramblin -> Brambleghast: Because a lot of Pandora is desert
Greavard -> Houndstone: Because Jay just loves it, its a good doggo full of love. An A+ companion doggo. Nevermind that the puppy could drain your life.
Haxorus: Because axe. Its an axe dragon, it has an axe for a face, it learns Guillotine.
Kleavor: More axe
(Hisuian) Sneasel -> Sneasler: It was really hard picking between the sneasels. The long claws are great for him. He's not so much a fan of the cold, but dark typing is one of his mains. But this one is Fighting/Poison, which he can get behind both.
(Hisuian) Zorua -> Zoroark: The vengeful ghost, he digs it
(Hisuian) Qwilfish -> Overqwil: Full of spikes. And Overqwil sounds like overkill.

Here's one side of the argument, which is valid, and here's mine ...
1)Those aren't age indicators, they're exhaustion/stress lines
Here's Piers, canonically Marnie's brother, and unless there's some freaky fifteen to twenty year age gap between these siblings is not middle aged. Half his hair is canonically grey, thin everything, and he has permanent eye bags.
Here's Molayne, Sophocles' older cousin, Alolan Elite Four member, and canonically not middle aged. He also has permanent eye bags and little fat on his face (or anywhere else). Yes those are eye bags, not the bottom of his glasses, they're noted in the concept art. He also has forehead creases, but they're behind his glasses, so you have to see his model at an angle.
This is Guzma, leader of team skull, and canonically not middle aged. He very recently wanted to be a trial captain, and Hala calls him young man. He has eye bags for days and forehead creases because those are used to display furrowed brows. His hair is canonically partially white and there's no proof either way if he does it or not(given the variety of pokemon cast hair colors... Probably not).
And finally here's Helena from pokemon masters. Yes she's someone you can(could?) find and fight. I don't know what her whole deal is, and I don't think I want to.
Now scroll up to find the non edited picture of Ingo, compare him to these fine folks, and tell me he doesn't need a good nap.
2) Hisuian's shave with knives
I never said Ingo couldn't shave, I said it was hard. You ever try shaving with a hand made knife for the first time? Gaeric's skills may be on point, but Ingo just crashed in from the 21st century, where we have nice amenities like safety razors and shaving cream we don't have to mix ourselves and mirrors (lack of mirrors is a big sticking point here, because mirrors had to be manufactured using a Mercury and tin coating on glass at the time, so it would be unlikely the pearl clan would have one.)
Odds are Ingo had someone else do his shaving for him, but since he's not stomping out to the clan every day to stay clean shaven, he ends up with a little goatee.
I can hate it all I want, it's a nasty little thing and deserves to be shaved.
3) His official art
See above for eyebags and eyebrow creases. Hair line means little when some men go bald in their twenties, and some men never do. I personally enjoy the theory that Sneasler accidentally groomed it off.
4) Outside Factors
It is mentioned that people believe Ingo came from the rift, even if he himself doesn't. For that to be true the rift had to have been there before Ingo's arrival. We know that Volo opened the rift, but the Frenzies didn't start until the Player showed up. Therefore, logically, if the rift was open before Ingo arrived, then either he hasn't been in Hisui for very long, or Volo opened up the rift when he was an angsty teenager and then just left it alone for several years without doing anything. Which would be funny, but hard to believe.
Personally I don't think Volo has the patience for that.
But the point I'm making is, either of these could be true, and until Nintendo gets off their backsides and confirms either way we'll never know.
Nintendo gets on that!
I Knew it! I knew it was just the goatee and terrible sleep schedule!
Look at him! Look at my boy! Call him and old man now Melli!
Context:
So I went on a texting rant to a friend about how Ingo in PLA isn't actually as old as people make him out to be, and how there's no possible way he could have been in Hisui longer than two years at Maximum (not even getting into that the concept art has two X's because of course that's how they're going to put the years, it's a mystery! Those X's can be any number including zero, come on people) and how he just looks old because his hair is naturally silver, he can't shave easily, and he is a New Yorker who has been robbed of caffeine and forced to sleep on the ground surrounded by things that are constantly trying to kill him...
Well anyway my friend didn't answer because they were probably asleep, but I took the liberty of grabbing Ingo's official art and a shot of his in game model and giving him a shave and getting him a full night's sleep in an actual bed to get rid of those eye bags.
Ta-da!

5 for sport?
Emmet and sneasler confirmed. Will Sans kill for sport? Is papyrus on that list? Elsa???
1. Emmet
2. Sneasler
3. Tellid (younger snibling)
4. Anyde (younger sibling)
5. Sans
6. Papyrus (won't hunt you for sport)

This is all mainly his personal opinions of them after spending so much time with them and having little snippets of memories of events that didn't happen.

Frick it. *Half zombies your train man*
I'm back at it again with the obscure crossover of an anime no one has heard of!
All of the villages/towns in Hisui are walled cities connected by a big train system. This au, wardens are guardians of their respective stations, fighting off Kabane (zombies) alongside their nobles. There is a station for every noble, plus the clan settlements and jubilife village. The warden uniforms are a set of armor in clan colors, although the divide between the pearl clan and the diamond clan is almost non-existent by now.
Some stuff about kabaneri Ingo (kabaneringo, if you will.)
Ingo had all of his memories when he landed in Hisui. It was really odd for him, being thrust into a different region in a different time period, in the middle of what seemed like the apocalypse. Ingo recognized the Kabane because Emmet really liked supernatural things like cryptids and myths. He just never believed they were real until he saw them with his own eyes.
Ingo was staying in Moonview Station when it was overrun. Melli and Lord Electrode did their best, but there was nothing they could do but evacuate. Ingo ended up near the back of the fleeing crowd, and he got caught and bit before he could get on the outbound train.
Ingo remembered something Emmet said about about a myth that a few people in Hisui had survived Kabane bites by cutting off the infection from reaching their heads. As ridiculous and far fetched as it sounded, it was Ingo's only shot at living to see his brother again, so he tied his tie around his neck and prayed to the dragons.
He passed out before the transformation finished. Lady Sneasler, who had arrived too late to support Melli and Lord Electrode, had to come rescue him from his self-inflicted strangulation. Ingo was still himself when he woke up, but... There were consequences to having all of his oxygen cut off for too long.
On a lighter note, Ingo dual wields knives! He's the only one in hisui bold enough to use such a close combat weapon (until Akari), but that's just because he is immune to kabane bites and has accelerated healing. ( ╹▽╹ )

elaborating
Perpep:
Exploud looks like tube worms And Loud
Malamar is an aquatic mon who is associated with great psychic evil and malevolence? its extremely intelligent? inscrutable perhaps? horrorterror much?
Living in a conservationists personal wildlife preserve means a lot of wierd fellas who might be extinct in the wild. Caracosta is a turtle made of rocks and is a fossilmon thats exactly the kind of mon id expect in a preserve.
Golisopod is based off deep sea isopods, and its got a motif of fear and overwhelming power Tharts perpep.
Garchomp, Sharpedo, and potential therapod mon (tyrantrum and rampardios) all work with her motif of . powerful. scary. Garchomp and Sharpedo being aquatically themed as land and sea sharks fits right fast. the therapod mon fit with carracostas logic while also being themed around beserk rage. perpep :-)
tangrowth looks like tube worms to me. that and a horrorterror.
H goodra is a powerful mon, its also Cinimon.
Oftcas
Oftcas has a party of powerful mons. Annihilape is an Angry Motherfucker, its big, and its graywhite. Oftcas uses lusus fur cloaks to blend in. Same logic for HZork, even harder on the blending in. Not to mention how much she appreciates the crazy resistances of the two.
Abomasnow is huge, white, and scary, in Sinnoh anyway.
Galarian Linoon represents Mink Mom. MommaMink. a dark type long animal, Perpep fights dirty, its how shes survived.
Ursaluna just fits. She kind of has momma bear energy on one hand, on the other, like. big tanky wild animal.
Luxray can see through walls, has solid stats and resistances, its a formidible mon. Oftcas.
Somati
Somatis mon kind of fall into a few catagories. Narratively fitting, he would like this mon, and he would almost certainly have this mon for proximity. Garganacl. His planet is made of salt. Sneasler is a pokemon who would fit his vibe. theyd see eye to eye, even if he is a lot more of a pacifist, out of necessity. Gothitelle forsees the future, and mourns their trainers in advance. This on top of the just. like look at this pokemon. If this mon met him theyd be going to a mall in no time. food court beware. Musharna is a dream mon! cmon look at them . this tapir is going to nebulize all up over the place how could this mon not be on his team. Absol forsees doom, Xatu recieves visions of the future. bam.
Sanguine
all of these pokemon are bloodthirsty, cannibalistic, or have knives for hands. usually all three. one thing is i did forget to add one of them. i think it was a steel type but i genuinely dont remember which. skarmory?
Ferics is super self explanatory imo.
Half Iron is too
Detheo has a ton of cats. Speedy cats. Little guys with knives for hands. lil dudes who fuck you up
Gardener Detheo has pretty fish, Gallade, a noble swordsman, and Bisharp, a cutthroat bladeyboy. He hss wishiwashi, luminion and primarina because i mean. if those arent perpep at the beginning of her timeline i dont know what they are. He has vaporeon becau
Plexus has almost exclusively pokemon who have not yet reached their potential. Some are obvious like korvisquire and karrablast. She also has healing and kind pokemon like audino and eventually togekiss. Reunucleus is just a pokemon i associate with healing to be honest. I think its the cell division bit. Galarian Slobro is also cute and i needed to give her a pokemon who pew pew ok?
Azokie is kind of a malewife. Until he's a femalewife. All of her pokemon can be explained with this lens. shes just a really kind and affectionate person. And then theres her dad.
Dlicti has dead things. Dead things and Grottle, a humble pokemon made of gardens. Dead things she brings life to. Her planet is made of fossils, and her life is full of death.
HungJur's can be explained similarly. Beforan Dlicti was safe to explore her interests, finding out things about how those in the past lived their lives is his passion. their skarmory, however, represents how... Lawful Neutral they are. Lawful Neutral in a draconian society.
Calixtus has Spoink, a pink lil mon who needs to bounce to stay alive. Every second is a balancing act to make sure a bounce isnt too high or too low. And they know they cant keep this up forever. Espeon snd Medicham are pink, one heavily psychic, seeing the minds of others, the other literally balancing constantly. Hydreigon is a horrifying pokemon. Three heads. One mind. Only one mind. There used to be two. Only one mind. Three heads. A three headed serpent forged from erasure, one mind in predominion. Two heads who bicker and brawl.
Altaria is soft. Fluffy.
Rayqaza is a gigantic green snake who descends from the heavens to break up fights between two sibling gods.
Arf Arf, hello :3! Here to ask what Pokémon you think some of your ocs might have! - The Woofer, Canis
auuuuuu perpep has a um a uhhh a uhh a um a uhhh uhhhh milotic, lilleep, all of the fish pokemon especially tropicaland deep sea mons and she legally has to have a hisuian goodra- i had teams for them rmghh
i think Perpep: Milotic, Sharpedo, Exploud, Carracosta, Malamar, and her ace, Hisuian Goodra Carracosta could be switched with her Garchomp when needed, i feel like she would also have a tangrowth and one of the angry therapod dinomon like tyrantrum or rampardos, she also has a Golisopod Oftcas: Ursaluna, Annihilape, Galarian Linoon, Hisuian Zoroark, Abomasnow Luxray
Somati: Musharna, Gothitelle, Absol, Garganacl, Xatu, Sneasler i have no idea which would be his ace, i could say it for any of them, except absol, i just kind of dont like absol though. if legendaries are allowed swap absol for spectrier, just because it looks like him. i also feel like he would have a galarian linoon, a drifblim, mismagius, either zoruark, a morgrem, a spiritomb a... ok a lot of pokemon. oh also a galarian rapidash. actually swap the absol for galarian rapidash if you also dont like absol- absol is just here because of the lore its never been an interesting pokemon for me. design, mechanic, etc wise. also a mime jr. The Diary of Warden Ingo - Year 4
Word Count: ~11,500
My name is Ingo. This is all I can remember. I was given this book to write my thoughts in, and hopefully I can make sense of my past life.
Day 1111 in Hisui
It only just occurred to me that I have reached four digit numbers in the days I have been here. I know it has been like that for half a year, but sitting down and counting again made me realize.
Things in the Highlands remain normal. An alpha Luxray got a bit too riled up the other day, and Gliscor had to teach it a lesson about disturbing other passengers with some Mud Bombs. Melli still visits occasionally, though he is busy helping Lord Electrode with the Voltorb that are rolling around right now. Lady Sneasler likes to show me new places, sometimes venturing with me all across Hisui. The others join us in our outings, as well, especially to the Coastlands. They love to play in the water there.
I try to be more open and sociable with the other Wardens and check in with them more often. I have much more free time on my hands now, after all.
I visited Jubilife recently to try to discern more about the people of the village, and maybe even learn more about myself. No one there seems to recognize me, nor have they heard of the Pokemon I vaguely remember. Oh, well. I offered up my services in the event that they need them. The village is expanding rapidly. There is now the outline of a large brick building being laid down, along with a planned shop and a canteen. Commander Kamado took the time to describe his biggest goal to me: to create a team that will explore Hisui and record all of its Pokemon, along with making it safer to travel the region and protecting the people of the land. He is calling it the Galaxy Team. I must admit, it is an admirable goal. The safety of passengers is of utmost importance.
He asked me about what I had seen and done as a Warden. I told him of many of my adventures around Hisui, along with some knowledge I possessed on the local Pokemon, specifically the ones closer to the settlement. He listened with great interest. I even showed him my map, which is now crumpled and tearing from overuse. He asked if he could borrow it to make a copy of it and that it would not take long. He had someone lay a piece of paper over my map and trace it directly, even noting down some small notes I had made about where the Nobles seats were, where the strongest alphas typically resided, and suitable places to set up a small camp temporarily. He thanked me profusely and said this knowledge would help them greatly.
Kamado also asked me about myself, where I came from and why my accent is so strange. I told him the truth, that I had no clue about my origins and I was something of a mystery even to myself. He grew thoughtful at that and became quiet.
We talked of other things before I left the village, beckoning to the Pokemon waiting just outside the gates. He seems to be a decent man with a good head on his shoulders, though I could sense that he would be the type to make rash decisions in times of stress. I hope that he leads well.
I have returned for the evening to my Lady. I have been able to harvest some rice, especially now that the merchants have traveled through again. It seems likely that one of the guilds will stay more permanently in Hisui now that Jubilife is here. I hope this is the case. I would like new ingredients to make different foods. Perhaps they will have new whittling knives for me to use, or different paints and variations of wood. Or even a book. I would love to read something, but Hisui is certainly lacking in reading materials. Maybe they have one about trains!
I have begun carving other things now, such as plants I find, the wild Pokemon nearby, and even a small replica of the Temple of Sinnoh. A term that keeps popping into my head is ‘stir-crazy’, though I feel that the connotation for that word is not quite correct. I think it is merely boredom. Nothing much happens around here these days.

Day 1123 in Hisui
Sweet almighty Sinnoh, when I said I was bored, this was not what I meant. There was a loud crack in the sky that caused a rock slide, requiring my immediate attention to ensure there were no casualties. I could not see what had caused it until this morning.
A massive, swirling, black hole is situated directly above Mount Coronet’s peak. I have not gone closer, as I feel I should hold off and ensure the way is safe. I have noticed, though, that the Staraptor that usually nest up there are no longer flying by the peak. Looking at it gives me chills.
I am sending Gliscor to the Pearl Camp with a letter for Irida informing her that I am safe, as well as Lady Sneasler. I hope it returns quickly, though now it must take the long way around to ensure it does not get too close to the hole. I do not want anything to happen to it, but I know that if I do not inform her immediately, she will come all the way over here and potentially put herself in danger.
It is quiet. Much too quiet. All the Pokemon are waiting in the trees, hiding in the ground, and holding their breath. It is eerie. I dislike this immensely. I have taken refuge in Lady Sneasler’s den, as it feels more safe than my tent, with Sneasler, Machoke, Tangela, and a few Sneasel that returned, likely for the comfort it provides. Usually Sneasler chases them out again so they learn to make their own way in the world, but she has not made a move to remove them.
I can only hope Melli has found somewhere safe to stay for the time being. Him and his Lord.
Gliscor is here! I can see it in the distance. I am glad it made it back safe. This has to be the fastest it has flown in some time. I can see something clutched in its claws. It looks like a note. Excuse me for the temporary delay.
Lady Irida has written back. She says that she would like me to communicate with her if anything goes wrong or if any Pokemon begin acting unruly. I told her of our whereabouts and the state of the mountain, including the rock slide. It was good that the slide occurred by Boulder Pass, where mainly Rhyhorn and Graveller reside. They were stunned by the impact, at the worst.
We will remain in this cave until further notice. I hope this thing retreats from the sky. It is not blocking anything, and it looks like something cut a hole in the blue just above Mount Coronet. It looks like… oh, what is the word I am thinking of? I do not know what it means, but ‘glitch’ seems to make sense somewhere in my head. I suppose it is like a ‘glitch’ in the sky. I feel it spells trouble later on.
I will keep any passengers I come across safe and whole.

Day 1127 in Hisui
It has been four days since the rift appeared. That is what the Clan and Jubilife have dubbed it. They call it a ‘space-time rift’.
It makes me wonder, is this something similar to how I may have come to Hisui? No one is sure of my mode of travel, only that I appeared quite suddenly, like I simply popped into existence. Perhaps it is not a coincidence that I appeared in Hisui before this rift showed up. Then again, I was dropped in Hisui three years before this happened, so it may just be correlation, not causation. Though I am curious, if I did, in theory, come through a space-time rift, is there a chance I am from a different time period altogether, and not from a different region? Or both? Could I be from past or future Hisui, or even somewhere else altogether?
This line of thinking is making my head hurt. Back to the matter at hand.
The rift remains. Pokemon in the wilds have since begun to reemerge, acting as if nothing is wrong. Stunky are prowling the passes again, many of the alphas have taken up their mantles. I sped off yesterday to check in on Melli. He was perfectly safe, huddled in a crack in Electrode’s Hollow that is large enough for a small fire and basic living conditions. He seemed relieved to see me. The ‘me’ of three years ago would have laughed! I informed him that the rift remains, but the wild Pokemon are beginning to reemerge. I feel that if nature is content to run its course, there is not much we can do but follow. We shall be cautious going forward, of course, there is no reason to abandon safety checks or cross the yellow line and put ourselves in reckless danger! But, we must continue to fulfill our duties as Wardens, and our Nobles must continue their duties as well.
I insisted Lady Irida not come to the Highlands yet. Melli begged me to send Gliscor to Adaman as well, in order to inform him of our status. I did, of course. Melli wrote a quick note and the Pokemon flew off and returned within the hour. I need to make it some special treats for acting as our messenger. Adaman has been informed to stay away, as has Irida. Only me and Melli shall reside in the Highlands for now.
Melli asked me if I could stay with him, as there was safety in numbers, and if something happened to one of us, the other could get help. His voice was wavering, but I did not comment. We ended up getting my partners, Lady Sneasler, and myself in the small cave with him. It was not as roomy as Lady Sneasler’s den, but it fit us all. I had also grabbed my knives and a fallen branch from Electrode’s tree, carving nervously. If there is red staining on this page, it is because I slipped and nicked myself by accident.
He insisted on making food, citing my lack of knowledge in the area (which I will readily admit to, nothing I make tastes nearly as good as the natives here). We slept in the hole. It is now early morning and the sun is rising as I write. The rift is still there. I feel that we may just need to come to terms with it. I am going to write another letter to Irida and ask what Jubilife thinks of this.
-Ingo
—------------------
Day 1145 in Hisui
It has been over three weeks since the rift appeared. Kamado himself came to see it, going to the top of the mountain in full armor and trying to understand it. He says that other than a cold feeling, there is nothing special about the area. Regardless, I avoid that part of the Highlands now. There was not much reason to go up there before, and there especially is not now.
I have been to Jubilife once more since my last entry. Kamado and his newly appointed Captain, a young stoic woman named Cyllene, asked me if I had seen any strange activity regarding the rift. I reported that I had seen nothing, other than the odd silence of the wild Pokemon the first three days. The wilds are wild again, all the old Pokemon back to their spots. Lady Sneasler has not reported anything, either. They simply nodded and dismissed me, speaking in low tones.
I have heard rumors that they are calling in ‘reinforcements’. I do not know what these entail or what they are planning, all I ask is that they do not cause too much trouble in the Highlands. I hope that we can get this figured out and maybe even find a way to close the rift.
I have used the rice I have harvested to begin making bases for infused cakes. The Pokemon love them. I learned the technique from a merchant in Jubilife, and it has served me well. I am testing combinations of flavors for each of my team members. It is an activity that allows me to waste time.
Since I began by carving myself and the Smiling Man so long ago, now accompanied by nearly thirty other figures, I have decided to try my hand at the fiery ghost Pokemon. I can only remember a round body, thin limbs, and flames… I do not think I will get it right, but I need something to do with my hands. I cannot sit still. I am constantly moving with nervous energy, especially with the rift nearby now. I have taken to weaving as of late, and I wove a large basket out of fronds and thick fibers from split trees for Sneasler to carry on her back. It does not really serve a purpose, but she likes to wear it. I have seen her use it to carry hauls of berries and such. I hope it works for her.
I have carved some bracelets, similar to my Warden bracelet, but thinner and with different patterns. I paint them sometimes.
I wish I had something else to occupy my mind so that I was not constantly fretting over the rift. I know it is a dangerous situation all around and things could change at a moments notice, but I am left exhausted being so wound up. I have begun skipping meals again and being unable to sleep. I know I should tell Lady Irida but… she is so busy trying to keep everyone calm. I will bring it up to my Pokemon, though they have already begun to notice. Gliscor is constantly giving me excess Pecha berries, which we share an affinity for. Sneasler will force me to lay down and not let me up until she deems that I have rested enough. Tangela will gently constrict my chest until my heart stops hammering. Machoke likes to hug me. It is a cuddler.
Perhaps, upon my next trip to Jubilife, I will see if the merchants have books or things for me to read. I do not care what it is. I just need something. Anything. I am going to go insane at this rate.
I also feel that I should not leave the Highlands to take a break in case something happens in my absence. It is my responsibility to keep the Highlands safe, even if it is from an interdimensional rift in space-time.
-Ingo
—----------------------
Day 1168 in Hisui
The ‘reinforcements’ that Kamado and Cyllene have talked of have arrived, in the form of a kindly (though scatterbrained) professor from Galar. I have had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. His name is Laventon. He wears an odd hat, odd in a way mine is not, and he takes a great interest in Pokemon categorization and the rift. One thing I noticed was that his accent was somewhat similar to mine! I asked if he recognized me or knew of the Pokemon I seek out, but he did not have any clues on either front. He was interested in me, once I revealed my origin story. As usual, there is not much to tell here. He got lost in thought for a moment.
He was pleasant enough! I also introduced myself to the merchant guild that claims to be settling in Hisui - they call themselves the Ginkgo Guild. They had books! I purchased two, one about ancient battle strategies from a far away region, and another on mathematics. I asked Laventon if he would be willing to trade books sometime, and he said he would consider it. The only issue is I struggle to read the books because the letters are slightly different than I am used to. Lady Irida says they are written in an older dialect. I will decipher them and read them anyway. It will give me something to do!
He showed me something that I feel that I remember. He had just invented a contraption that can capture Pokemon and contain them, shrinking them down to a portable size. He calls them ‘Pokeballs’. He showed me how to make these contraptions and was walking me through how to use them… but I feel that I have used these before. Many, many, many times. In fact, he asked me if I would be willing to go out and help him capture any small Pokemon, and I caught the first Bidoof I saw on the first strike. He looked stunned, saying he could not aim worth anything. I asked him if I could take some Pokeballs with me. Having them makes me feel more confident and protected, like I am less naked. I had not realized that I had felt so exposed for so long. When I returned to my Pokemon, I showed them the contraptions and explained their functions. Then I gave them the option of entering the ball, if they so wished. They would not need to eat as frequently and can emerge at any time they so choose, it is not a prison. I was expecting at least Gliscor to wish for freedom, but I was shocked when all three of them wished to have a ball of their own. I caught them, with their permission, then let them out. They looked at each other. I suppose the feeling of being inside the ball was different? I could not say. It was humbling, though, to know they trust me that much.
Laventon showed me how to make other kinds of Pokeballs, made for capturing stronger Pokemon. He has been working with different designs that have stronger hatches in order to keep the new Pokemon caught with it inside longer. He called the strongest model he had ‘ultra balls’. I made a handful of them and I carry them in my pouch. I plan to test their capabilities, as he asked me if I could. I am essentially acting as his test subject, but I find I do not mind.
Switching tracks and going along with the thought that I fell through a space-time rift, maybe I came from the future, where Pokeballs are more commonplace. I have no other evidence for this. …it is likely not the case. I must remember to ask Laventon if he has heard of a ‘train’...
There is a new clothetier in Jubilife as well. She asked if I would like for her to repair or replace my coat, but I quickly declined. I do not wish to take it off to allow it to be fixed, nor do I wish for it to be altered. I feel as though the tears in it speak about my time in Hisui. The weight is familiar to me and I grow nervous without it on. Same with my cap. I cannot bear to part with either. Sometimes they are all that reminds me that I do belong somewhere, even if not permanently in Hisui, that I came from somewhere and I did not begin to exist at the age of… whatever age I was when I landed here.
Lady Irida recommended that I try carving larger pieces, which I have attempted. I am trying to make a slender rack for my coat, for when I sleep at night. I found a large fallen trunk from what used to be a strong berry tree and dragged it to Sneasler’s den to work on it. She likes to keep the wood shavings to make her nest, so it is a win-win scenario.
I was not able to make the fiery Pokemon. It never looks correct, no matter how many times I try. A round body and slender limbs can only get one so far. It is frustrating. However, I am satisfied with how my coat rack is coming along. Hopefully the books can allow me some knowledge as well!

Day 1200 in Hisui
I have deciphered the book on battle strategies and I have begun utilizing some of these strategies in battle. It is fascinating! Once the Pokemon caught on, they were able to execute different types of moves: strong and agile. Agile moves allow for greater speed, but less power, which makes for fantastic surprise hits and finishing blows. Strong moves are the opposite, utilizing brute strength over speed, which work well for knocking enemies out with one or two well-chosen blows. Perhaps I will show these tactics to others next time I battle them! They seem like they would make fights more interesting and engaging. It is fascinating stuff.
There was a lull in the amount of immigrants entering Jubilife for some time after the rift appeared, but the numbers have begun ramping up again. The main building, dubbed the Galaxy Headquarters, is nearly ready to be used. They just need to finish furnishing it. It is quite a spectacle! They will continue working on the exterior even as the building is in use, mainly because there is nowhere else to do work. They are nearly finished with two housing areas and are preparing to make two more to house more immigrants coming over. Things are moving along for them!
The Pokemon have enjoyed learning about strong and agile style moves. Gliscor tends to prefer agile moves, while Machoke and Tangela prefer strong style. We have taken to training again more frequently. It is nice to do it.
I am feeling more… myself again. I stay cautious and ready to jump at any moment, but I am becoming used to the presence of the rift. It has been there for over three months already and has not done anything since appearing other than continue to swirl in place.
Lady Sneasler wishes to take me on a survey of the entire Highlands tomorrow to ensure no Pokemon are being endangered by others. It has been a long time since I did such an investigation of the land, and it would be good for me to do. The only reason I do not do it as often as I used to is because it requires that we study every inch of the Highlands to check for shady activity. I will likely be out of commission for the next couple of days, then. We will also have to wander at night to ensure the ghost types are not causing structural damage to the cliff faces and causing more rock slides.
I must get to sleep to rest for the journey. My nightmares have ceased again and Gliscor and Machoke have ensured I have a steady diet once more. I still occasionally wake in a cold sweat, but Tangela will wrap its vines around my chest.

Day 1212 in Hisui
Something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.
I was out with Sneasler and as we were investigating the Celestica Path, we heard a horrible screeching, grinding noise coming from the Fabled Spring. We made our way there quickly and saw a massive, swirling bubble of color. It was making a loud whistling noise that made my eardrums feel like they were infested with bugs. I could see my Lady’s fur stand on end and she growled at it. I watched the bubble. It seemed wrong, I could feel the odd energy emanating from it. I decided to throw a rock inside of the bubble, and it landed inside fine, as if nothing were there. A Mothim entered the bubble as if nothing was wrong.
I foolishly decided to enter it. I stuck my hand in first and Sneasler yelled for me. I do not know why I did it. It was like I was drawn to it. I entered it and around me it sounded like rolling thunder, but there was no wind. The sun was blocked out. I crouched in the grass so that the Pokemon would not see me. Sneasler stayed just behind the bubble line.
We sat there for a few moments and there was a chilling feeling crawling up my spine and I was about to leave but then there was a horrible flash of light and the noises were deafening, then the darkness set in further and suddenly the Pokemon were no longer there, many random items falling to the earth. One was just a shard of some plate make of some rock I could not identify. Other items were more valuable.
And then the Pokemon appeared. They were strong, much stronger than alpha Pokemon. They were not native to the Highlands, either. I decided to test the new balls Laventon had lent me, tossing them at the Pokemon from a hiding place in the grass. One of them caught! I did not have a chance to see what Pokemon it was, however, as I almost immediately was attacked by a large Lickitung. I fled the bubble after grabbing the ultra ball on the ground, covering my face with my arms as I ran to Sneasler. We stood just outside the perimeter of the bubble, watching inside, and something came out. The Lickitung followed me out of the bubble. I was prepared to fight it when as suddenly as it had appeared, the bubble screamed again and whirled out of existence, taking the Lickitung with it in a flash of light. The Pokemon that were there before were suddenly in the exact spots that they had left, moving around as if nothing had happened.
I came back immediately to write all this down. I must remember every detail for when Irida comes later. She needs to be informed about this. If these odd bubbles continue popping up, they could be incredibly dangerous for people. I will return to this passage when I send a letter to her, requesting an audience with her.
-
Alright, I have sent the request. Gliscor will return with her shortly.
Where did the Pokemon come from? Where did the Hisui ones go? Are they back where they belong now? Are they bouncing around Hisui? Lady Sneasler is sitting with me and pacing, she is concerned too.
I see her! Gliscor is coming. It knows something is wrong.
-
Irida is calling a meeting with Adaman and Kamado. They are bringing me. I will update later.
-Ingo
—------------------
Day 1213 in Hisui
The meeting went about as well as one could have hoped, which is to say it was a trainwreck. Nobody knows what to do about this development. The best we can do is hope that this does not occur in the future, but if it does, we will have to warn people away from these odd bubbles. Laventon proposed an explanation for them.
He suggested that, because of the Pokemon I described in the bubble after my frantic haze, it was simply a smaller, more contained space-time rift that pulled Pokemon from some other time and space, all of Hisui at some point or other. I saw a small ancient Pokemon that I feel I had seen before, and he confirmed its name was Cranidos. He said that Pokemon went extinct millions of years ago, so the fact that I saw one must mean it was pulled from past Hisui to the present. And the Lickitung, which are normally not found in the Highlands, may have been pulled from the Mirelands. This is the best theory we have right now.
These Pokemon are insanely powerful. I hope that these do not spread, but I fear that they will. The rift above Mount Coronet has not disappeared, diminished, or otherwise changed. It must be linked somehow.
I discovered the Pokemon in the ball. It is a large Alakazam. It seemed rather docile upon exiting the ball, actually, a fact that surprised me. Laventon was excited to see that his invention had worked so well. Irida gave me a good scolding for forgetting to pause and perform my safety checks… I will admit, that was not my finest moment. I profusely apologized to her and promised not to do something so reckless again. She surprised me by hugging me after the scolding, saying that she did not want to see anything happen to me. I did not realize that someone valued my safety so highly. I must see to it that nobody gets hurt!
I have let the Alakazam out to meet the others on my team. I would normally give the Pokemon to someone, allow them to work with it, but not only is it a psychic type, one of the notoriously harder types to work with, but it is also insanely strong and nobody in Hisui is ready for that yet. I have taken it upon myself to train it. It seems to be of a friendlier disposition than I originally gave it credit for. I asked it where it came from and when, and it was able to use telekinesis to respond. It told me it did not remember, but it was not from here. Somewhere far away, though from this time. I believe it may have come from the Fieldlands, which only confirms Laventon’s theory. Gliscor and Alakazam had a practice fight to test each other’s abilities. I must say, I am excited to have a new member of the team. I hope to go out and obtain two more to round out my team, for a full one of six.
Why six? There is no limit on Pokemon… though I feel that seven would be too many to handle comfortably. That, and using more just feels incorrect in a way that makes my teeth hurt.
Sneasler also scolded me after yesterday. I apologized to her, too, but then I started thinking. What if Lady Sneasler had been inside the rift when it had opened? Would she have been taken? Would she have come back…?
I must stop that train on the track immediately. She is here. She is fine. She is, in fact, speaking to Alakazam.
But she could have disappeared, left somewhere with no way back. And it would have been my fault.
I must investigate more into these rifts, preferably alone. I cannot risk causing others harm.
-Ingo
—---------------
Day 1242 in Hisui
The rift remains. Smaller rifts have begun opening around Hisui. They have been reported by others, both in the Pearl and Diamond Clans, in all areas of the region. From the Coastlands to the Icelands to the Fieldlands, the rifts appear every so often, always bringing powerful Pokemon. People are being attacked if they stray too close to these rifts, causing mass fear. I worry that Hisui may be on the brink of something horrible, whether it be war, hysteria, or something else. I desperately hope something changes. Irida is so tired every time she visits now, looking like she is about to drop. I once had to revive her with some soup and a nap before I could send her on her way. I could not in good conscience allow her to leave my home and wander the Highlands alone in such an exhausted state. Last time I met with Melli, he said much of the same about Adaman.
I hear talk that the almighty Sinnoh may be angry with us for allowing those in Jubilife into Hisui. Personally, I do not think this is the case. They have been nothing but kind and curious, merely wishing to make a new life for themselves. I fear that should these feelings go unchecked, it could start an uprising against the people of Jubilife. I… do not know what I would do. I know they are innocent, and that innocent lives will be lost, but I am in allegiance with the Pearl Clan, and a Warden at that.
I hope we do not get there.
Laventon has shared these fears with me, as well. He wishes to study the rifts, and does not believe these would be caused by a wrathful deity, especially if there were no wrongdoings to cause it. I do hope Laventon is not hurt in whatever struggle may occur in the future, he is a kid soul.
Melli also secretly shares these fears, though not to the extent I do. He does not visit Jubilife much, or anywhere for that matter, choosing to stick to the Highlands. He does not know the people of Jubilife as I do, and thus does not feel the same sympathy for them. He puts on his normal act of suspended uncaring, but I can tell by the way he stiffens at the mention that he does not want war.
I have forgotten to eat many times these last two weeks. Sneasler quite literally held me down and forced food into me at one point. I have not slept. I cannot focus. All I can do is run my engine into the ground over a problem I did not cause, nor can I solve.
We need something. Anything. Please.

Day 1257 in Hisui
There was a huge flash of lightning last night. It seemed centered over the Fieldlands. I am traveling now with Gliscor to check in and make sure that everything is alright with Mai and Lian. I do hope young Lian is alright.
-
Something is wrong with Lord Kleavor. It is in pain, that much is obvious. Poor Lian does not know what to do. I saw a glimpse of the Lord before it disappeared, it was glowing and screeching in a way I have never previously experienced. It reminds me of when a Voltorb is about to self-destruct, but it is in that stage half a second prior where the Voltorb is in immense pain and already too far gone to reverse the stage.
Lian was panicking so badly. He puts so much faith into his Lord and thinks of him so highly. I had to have him sit down and do some breathing exercises with him to make sure he did not faint. Goomy joined me in trying to calm him by taking his hands into its slimy body. The Goomy was cold, which helped him to not overheat. It took some time before the panic left him, followed by concern and confusion.
He hugged me. He told me he was scared, and that’s how I knew how badly this affected him. I called Lady Irida immediately and as soon as she caught wind of Kleavor’s state, she rushed off to discuss with the other leaders. She told Lian that we would solve this, and we would restore Kleavor to his former glory. He sniffled and nodded, wanting to appear strong for her. When she left, I told him that he was allowed to feel things in front of me, if he wished. I would not tell.
The poor boy broke down. He was so worried for his Lord. I ended up staying with him the rest of that day, though I had to return that night. He told me he would be alright. I left him with a pat on the head and a promise to return at the drop of a hat, should he require my assistance.
What is wrong with Lord Kleavor? Something is… not right. He is normally one of the kinder Lords, hence why his Warden is so young. He is normally so considerate and patient and loves hearing about Lian’s fascination with all things earthy and solid…
Will something happen to more Lords?
Will something happen to Sneasler?
I am going to keep a diligent eye on her. I cannot risk her succumbing to the rage that Lord Kleavor is under now. I cannot risk losing my best friend.

Day 1267 in Hisui
Our prayers were answered, it would seem. There is another child, another foreigner. She is said to have dropped from the rift itself and landed in Hisui with no memories, much like myself. She has incredible skill and potential with Pokemon and she has been taken in by the Galaxy Team. She has managed to quell the frenzy of Lord Kleavor. I have not met this girl, but Lian tells me that she is kind and passionate and she wields her Pokemon like equals, not tools.
I must meet this child.
Perhaps we came from the same place. Perhaps we can help each other. Maybe she knows of me somehow, or knows anything more than I do, or anything.
But the matter at hand first.
Lian is doing better with Lord Kleavor quelled. I checked in with him as soon as Lady Irida sent me notice that Kleavor was quelled and he ran to me with his eyes bright and happy once again, talking about this Skyfaller as he called her and all the things she did to help Kleavor. It was good to see the boy back to his normal self. This girl even gained the blessing of Lord Wyrdeer, allowing her to ride it much like its Warden can.
Last I heard, she is in the Mirelands currently, trying to quell the frenzy of Arezu’s Noble, Lady Lilligant. Calaba distrusted the girl until she proved that she cared for her companions and helped her regain some piece of a missing text. (Calaba has always been the biggest stickler about tradition, though I suppose being in your 90s will do that to you. I am eternally grateful for the medical help, lessons, and compassion she has shown me, but the woman does know how to throw a cold shoulder.) Calaba told me her Lord Ursaluna is now lending itself to the Skyfaller as well. I do not know where she is going next, but I will ensure I meet this child sometime soon.
Laventon also tells me she is a good child. He is the one who found her on the beach by the settlement, and she is the one who showed as much immediate promise with Pokeballs as I have.
She must have come from the same time as I… she must have…
I forgot to ask him about trains again.
I am getting off track.
Lady Sneasler has not left my sight since Kleavor’s frenzy began. I have been seeing more space-time rifts appear in the Highlands and I have seen them in the Fieldlands when I go to visit Lian. They seem to be picking up in pace. I hope that they do not cover the land.
I am frazzled, to say the least. The only times I consume food now are when I am forced to by my team. Gliscor follows me around with a berry in its claws at all times, prepared to force-feed me should the need arise. I have not slept in days. I cannot. What if the lightning returns and Lady Sneasler is affected? What then? I cannot allow this to happen. I cannot let anything happen to her.

Day 1273 in Hisui
There have not been any affected Pokemon in over three days. I am terrified to write this for I feel I may curse this luck streak we have.
I have not left the Highlands out of fear for Lady Sneasler. It seems so far that the lightning comes for one of the two Nobles in every area of Hisui. If that pattern is correct, then it would either be Lady Sneasler or Lord Electrode. I do not want either of them affected. I have warned Melli about the dangers here, but he truly seems to believe that the lightning is actually a blessing from the almighty Sinnoh to grant strength to the Nobles. I understand he did not see them or truly understand their actions as he was not able to experience it firsthand, but it even sounds ludicrous just writing these words down.
I also asked him what he thought of the Faller. He has not made her acquaintance either. He says that he feels that she is trying to ‘outshine his brilliance with false precursors’. I walked away. I could not handle that attitude right now.
The feeling appears to be mutual between myself and Lady Sneasler now in regards to sticking together, as she will not let me out of her sight, either, though I believe it is due to different reasons. I still cannot eat. I cannot keep anything down due to stress. I cannot sleep. I nearly collapsed yesterday and Sneasler immediately picked me up and took me to her den and refused to leave my side or let me stand. I see the Smiling Man more frequently now, he takes up more of my vision with each day that progresses with no sleep. My hands have been quaking nonstop for days and I can barely write this passage and I
what in almighty sinnoh
Another crack in the sky, this time in the middle of the day. Another Noble was affected, this time in the Coastlands. Basculegion is the only Noble out there currently since the last Lord Arcanine passed on…
I hope Iscan and Palina are alright. I cannot leave to check on them myself. Lady Sneasler will not let me. None of my partners will allow me. I can only hope that the child finds them and helps them. Please, Faller, help them.

Day 1284 in Hisui
It was Electrode. He was the next claimed. I had to escort Melli from the Moonview Arena so that he would not be shocked to death by his rampaging Lord. He keeps going on and on about how almighty Sinnoh has blessed his Lord with great power and now he is the strongest of all the Nobles. Can he not see it is suffering?! Electrode is hardly able to contain the power residing within it now. I set up torches in Wayward Cave and ran off to Jubilife to find the Faller. Irida met me there. We now know the path to take to victory. Lady Irida looked at my gait and my dark eyes and I could tell she knew immediately what was happening to me, but did not say anything. Adaman seemed concerned, as well, when he got a good look at me. Only Kamado did not seem to notice. I know that he would have said something if he had. I could tell I was swaying on my feet. But I must keep going. I have duties to fulfill.
I woke the Faller too hastily, and I felt guilty for it. I could hardly focus at this point due to delirium and hunger, but I had to help Electrode if Melli would not do it himself. Melli had joined me, boasting about his Lord the whole way, and he went off to harass Adaman. I stood outside and I met a woman who is new to the village, whose name is Zisu. She seems to be a strong trainer. I must battle her sometime.
I ended up being the one to escort the Faller through the Highlands, actually. Lady Irida was busy with other things and she seemed all too eager to throw the girl my way. I am thankful. I got to meet her. I remember getting into Wayward Cave and after the initial anger of Melli taking down the torches, I led the girl, whose name is Akari, and I could feel that ache and it was so much stronger now, increased by tenfold, and it could not have been hunger, there is no way it was just hunger. It physically hurt. I spoke of the things I remembered and the few things I knew from before. Looking back, there was no reason for this. I just wanted someone to understand, someone I could relate to and have understand what it was like being somewhere new with no recollection of anything in your past life except this persistent wrongness and I blame it on the exhaustion, if I were well-rested I would never have been so blunt to her.
She is such a kind child. Lian was right. She listened, even though the information was completely uncalled for. She looked up to me and told me that she only had blurry memories, too, though she remembered more than I. She held my hand as I led her through the pitch-black cave. She did not complain about my gait or my tone of voice. She told me what a train was. It is a moving vehicle that carries passengers along wooden and metal tracks! I know what a train is! I still cannot recall an image of it in my mind, but I know what a train is again.
I called forth Lady Sneasler and she took a shining to Akari. I battled with Akari, as well, and was surprised when she beat my three original partners easily. I have finally found a formidable opponent. I hope I see more of her. She reminds me of someone, someone I knew before, but I cannot say who. Just that I miss them.
There was an odd man we met along the way, but Akari seemed to know him. He was of the Ginkgo Guild and he seemed rather interested in me, because I am also foreign and missing my memories. I had nothing new to tell him, though. He wandered off before long. He must be a friend of hers.
Melli gave her trouble. I did not like it. Adaman showed up and scolded him. She stopped the rampage of Lord Electrode and I could feel the tension drain from my body. Melli whined about it and how he was worried that almighty Sinnoh would be upset with him for allowing it to happen. I wanted to slap him. I have never felt such an urge to physically hurt this man, even in the beginning. I blame the lack of rest and food. I know I become more irritable when tired.
I am exhausted. Lady Sneasler is helping Akari with her survey duties, so I will attempt to rest. My Pokemon are out and trying to drag me to bed now, in the middle of the day, even as my eyelids droop dangerously. I should not, but I have fulfilled my duties for the day as it is. Maybe a small nap would not hurt…

Day 1298 in Hisui
I heard about the quelling of Avalugg only after it happened. I slept for three days straight. I only awoke because Lady Irida and Lady Sneasler had to rip open the door to find me and shake me awake. Lady Sneasler thought I was legitimately dead when I did not answer and my door was still locked from the inside. They forced me to eat. A couple times. It is the first meal I have had in almost a month that did not make a reappearance.
Lady Irida scolded me again for neglecting my health. I informed her of the reasoning behind it and all the things that I had experienced since the Nobles began being frenzied, and she quieted down a bit and sat on my bedroll next to me and gave me a hug. I have grown used to a bit more physical attention from others, though it is still a rarity. I find myself missing it.
Lady Sneasler is okay. I am okay. All the Nobles have been quelled, as of this afternoon. Perhaps life can begin to return to normal. I have begun carving a figure of Akari. I hope she does not see it and think I am absolutely deranged. Or worse, make her feel uncomfortable. Lady Irida has seen my collection of toys countless times and is used to them by now. She loves the one of her Glaceon I made. But I have known Irida for years.
I think I would like to meet Zisu again and request a battle with her. I have since caught more Pokemon that I have added to my team, and I have a full team of six and then some.
For the evening, though, I am spending it with Lady Sneasler and my team, simply enjoying the clear night. I will write again soon.

Day 1299 in Hisui
Everything went wrong. The sky is broken and changing, the colors are shifting. It is like being under a massive space-time rift. I do not know what has happened to Akari or anyone. I have not heard anything. Melli has continued raving about how almighty Sinnoh is angry. I do not know what to say. I do not know what to do.
I am terrified. I do not know what is happening and for the first time since the first moments of dropping into Hisui, I feel terrified. Lady Sneasler, my team, and I have all retreated to her den again. I cannot carve because I keep cutting my fingers by accident. They are shaking. I feel nauseous. Tangela has constricted my chest with its vines and I am barely able to write.
—--------------
Day 1304 in Hisui
Kamado banned her from the village. That bastard. I knew something like this could happen, I predicted this months ago. She is nowhere to be found. I have looked for her everywhere. None of the other Wardens have seen her either. Both Clans are looking for her. Irida and Adaman are strangely absent, as well. I need to find her. I cannot allow a passenger to become lost on the tracks.
—-------------
Day 1345 in Hisui
Akari was found and the sky returned to normal. Even the rift that used to hang above Mount Coronet is now gone. She has captured two of the most powerful Pokemon in existence, which I have learned are called Dialga and Palkia. They appear to be the almighty Sinnohs of the Diamond and Pearl Clans, respectively. Both clans were rattled by this.
I have begun training in the dojo with Zisu, showing locals and Jubilife folk how to battle and helping them acquire partner Pokemon. Zisu is an excellent trainer and has even taught me things that I did not know prior to meeting her. She is a bright woman, even if she is a little overbearing at times. I get that odd ache in my chest again when she makes a certain face or says certain phrases, especially those that are lightly teasing. I do not know why.
I have again focused some effort on things such as my memories. I have asked Laventon for more information about trains and he happened to have a book on them, with photos. I saw a train! I remember now, I remember what a train is! I asked if I could borrow the book and I learned that some of the phrases I use and say are attributed to trains! I feel that I used to be around them in my daily life. I brought it home and I carved some model trains. The wheels turn, too! I can push them around and it brings me a joy I never thought I would experience. I read the entire book cover to cover at least six consecutive times and I have carved a model of every single train I could find in that book, including the following freight cars. I plan on adding a mechanism to make them lock together so that I can build structures with them. Maybe I could carve larger ones and place all my figures inside them!
Laventon hails from Galar, a land that already has some trains used to carry freight across the region. Maybe I come from Galar! It has trains and an accent similar to mine! He did say he had never heard of a Pokemon like the fire ghost I seek, but surely he has not seen all the Pokemon of Galar! I would like to make a trip to Galar once everything settles down. Maybe I will be able to find where I live and the Smiling Man in white. Is he still waiting for me?
Is he waiting for me?
I will find him. I must, I have to. After all this talk of space and time and all the things in Hisui, I can find him. I will.
Maybe I will talk to Akari. She is currently surveying the wild lands, trying to capture every single Pokemon in Hisui. It is a tall task. I will not bother her, instead I will focus on learning everything I can about my past and battling.
Akari, after her banishment, came to me in the Highlands. She found my hut late at night, just as I was preparing for bed. Of course, I let her in, even if I had already shed my coat and hat. She asked me if I would mind just having a conversation with her, and I obliged her. I sat down and listened to what she had to say.
Ever since arriving in Hisui, she has been scared. She had so many responsibilities thrust upon her shoulders at once, so much pressure on her. I felt awful. I was contributing to that. She truly is just a child. She began to cry. She told me that while quelling the Nobles, she fainted more than once and actually felt her soul exit her body momentarily before slamming back in by some unknown force. That horrified me. She died. She did not want to die, true, but she also did not ask for this. She never wanted all of this. All she wants is to go home to her brother. She remembers she lived alone with him and they have been travelers for years now ever since their parents died. She does not remember much outside of that.
I did the only thing I could think of. I went to her and hugged her and tried to comfort her. I told her that none of this was her fault, that she should never have been banished, that she was young and simply trying her best to make the most of a scary situation and it was absolutely unfair, but she made so much out of it. She sniffled. She smiled at me.
She noticed my figure collection and asked me about them. She seemed to want to change the subject. I told her about them and allowed her to touch and inspect them. She eventually came to the one of herself and I felt my face become warm. She smiled at me and said it looked really nice and asked if I would show her how to make one as well. I told her that I would anytime she liked.
She asked about the first one I made. The one of the Smiling Man. I told her about him, the few things I could remember. I told her that he came to me in my dreams, that he was always in the corner of my eye. She asked me if I knew who he was. I said no. She asked me a couple more questions about him.
Then she asked if he could be related to me, perhaps a brother. I had thought that myself since he had first started showing up, but something about someone else saying it to me… That set off a whistle in my head. She must have noticed. She got excited, saying that she and her twin brother were best friends and she could not wait to get back to him.
Engine lights went off in my head. Twin brother. Twin brother.
I think he’s my brother. My twin. That’s why he complements me so well, why I feel his absence so strongly. It is the thing I am missing. He is that weird ache in my chest.
I shot up and surprised her by accident, and I was much too loud when I shouted “he’s my twin brother!” but she seemed too excited for me to care. I remembered, and I still remember. This man, this apparition, he is my twin, my brother, I have a family. I have a family… I hope they still remember me. I hope he does.
I offered her my tent to stay in overnight and she conceded, but only at the price of a hug. And she would not hear of me sleeping on the floor. She was incredibly warm. She asked me before drifting off if she could call me her ‘honorary uncle’. It made me smile. I could tell because she looked at me like I’d just hung the stars themselves. She called me her Uncle Ingo. It made me warm in a way I did not imagine. I slept well that night, Gliscor curled around both of us.
I will protect this child with my life if I must.
-(Uncle!) Ingo
—-----------
Day 1384 in Hisui
Akari and I have become close. She truly is like the child I never had. She is always so excited to show me what she has caught, the things she carves, her newest Pokedex entries, anything of import. Lady Sneasler finds it endearing. She watches the two of us and seems to have accepted Akari as one of her own, too, much like she has for me. Akari has braided my hair more times than I can count. She carves with me and lets me talk about trains to my heart’s content. She has shown me almost every single Pokemon she has ever caught, including Pokemon of myth. She draws well and loves to show me her drawings. I think they look excellent. We battle frequently, and it is easily the best feeling I’ve had since arriving in Hisui, battling with her.
Unfortunately, I have not seen her for a few days, as she promised Volo she would run some errands with him. Something about finding bricks? I am unsure.
I have done another intense survey of the Highlands. The small space-time rifts still happen occasionally, but because people are becoming more skilled trainers, they are easier to handle. It also helps that they happen less frequently now. Melli is still a little cold to Akari, but he is not outwardly so when I am around. I am thankful for that, at least. Irida has come by at least a few times while I am with the girl, and every time she smiles wide and asks if we are enjoying ourselves.
I have been around to visit the other Wardens, ensuring all their Lords and Ladys are alright after the frenzies. As it turns out, the late Lord Arcanine’s child evolved and became the new Lord! He is doing wonderfully in his new position. I made sure to bring offerings to all the Nobles, along with some words of encouragement. Lian in particular was happy to see me, running up and hugging me and excitedly showing me his new rock collection with his newly-evolved Sliggoo.
Other than the fact that I have a twin brother, everything else remains out of my reach, including my brother’s name. I cannot remember his name for the life of me. I want to, so badly. But I cannot call it to memory. I even asked for a book of baby names (which took some awkward explaining to Irida) and I looked at every single name in the book, male and female. None of them sounded right. The closest thing I got was ‘Emma’ but that is not quite correct.
I have carved other trains, mostly ones of tweaked designs on the originals, as I had to return the book to Laventon. I have been carving more carts. Maybe I will give them to the children of Jubilife. I have no idea what to do with all these things I keep making.
-Ingo
—-----------------------------
Day 1400 in Hisui
I just did the math. I have spent exactly two-hundred weeks in Hisui. That is nearly four years.
Akari went missing for a while. She just returned last night, first appearing at my tent again. She was crying. There were many noises coming from the top of Mount Coronet earlier and she told me the cause. Volo had been using her all along to try to meet a being known as Arceus. He had used her to collect these ‘plates’ so that he could summon it to destroy this world and make a whole new one. She managed to beat him, but only barely. She remembers Dialga having to turn back time because he actually killed her more than once. And then a being known as Giratina was released and escaped and Akari has no clue where it is. It is a powerful, dangerous Pokemon. She is scared of it. It hurt her.
All I could do was stroke her hair and listen. I could not help her or remove these fears. I do not know how to help her and it pains me. I have offered my home to her as a hiding spot. She does not know where Volo is either. She is scared he will come and try to take the Azure Flute in the night.
She has fallen asleep on my bed. I am going to join her so she is not alone when she awakens. I will keep watch to ensure nothing happens to her or the flute.
-Ingo
—--------------
Day 1409 in Hisui
Giratina has been found and contained. Akari has documented nearly every Pokemon in the region, and she has told me more about how she came here. She was sent here on request by Arceus itself with a mission to ‘seek out all Pokemon’. In the process, she stopped the world from ending and closed all the rifts. Even the small rifts are no longer appearing, much to Hisui’s relief. War is no longer a problem. Hisui has settled down and is now peaceful.
She found out more about me, as well. I was pulled here by a rift. It was a rift that Volo had opened four years ago because it had worked Giratina into a frenzied state for the first time. Arceus later brought Akari here to rebalance the timeline and the universe itself.
I do not know how to feel about this. It is a jumble of emotions that I feel, that I was disturbed from my life suddenly by a foolish accident on someone’s part - but then they did not even attempt to fix it. Giratina could have sent me back, it has confirmed this. I spoke to it. It says that I fell through the Distortion World and hit my head on a floating island, knocking out my memories. It sent me out through a different rift that it thought would deposit me back where I belonged while I was unconscious. I did not, in fact, belong there. It did not realize this until now, but it also does not know where I hailed from. So I am stuck.
I could be from anywhere in space and time. It is most likely in the future, as trains and Pokeballs have only just been invented now, but that still leaves a lot of track to cover.
Akari says she has a plan. Arceus promised to return her back to her time if she completed the Pokedex. She intends to ask it to send me home too. I am apprehensive, as I have grown to see Hisui as my home, but I want to see my brother. I want to see the fiery Pokemon and the trains.
I will inform Lady Irida of our findings and plans. I feel that while she would be sad to see me go, she would also wish me well. She saw the toll Hisui has taken on me. I am informing the other Wardens and Lady Sneasler as well. Akari guesses it will not take much longer for her to finish the Pokedex. We will have to see, and I have told her not to rush herself. We have time, after all.
-Ingo
—-------------
Day 1454 in Hisui
Akari has finished the Pokedex and has captured Arceus. She has been having it follow her around, as it wishes to view the world as us humans do. When I first saw it, it gazed at me for longer than I would have liked. Then it spoke to me in my mind and asked if I was the other Faller in this world. I replied that yes, I was, and it told me it knows where I come from. I was a Conductor that owned my own train station with my brother. I was a competitive Pokemon battler and trainer. I have friends and an uncle and a cousin and many Pokemon. They are still waiting for me.
I asked it for my brother’s name. I feel like if it could have smiled, it would have. Its voice was warm inside my head.
Thy brother’s name is Emmet. He is waiting for thee.
I felt true tears on my cheeks and Akari rushed to me as my knees buckled, asking what was wrong. I told her my brother, Emmet, missed me. That I was a conductor and I lived with trains. She patted me on the back and said that her brother missed her as well, back at home. She said his name was Daniel. Then she lowered her voice and added that her name was not really Akari at all, but Dylan. Her parents had thought they were having two boys. I asked if she would prefer for me to call her Akari or by her real name, and she asked for her real name.
Lady Sneasler is very clingy. She knows why I am leaving her, but she does not like it. She is always within a claw’s distance and watching me. I keep close to her. I understand her trepidation. She is unable to come to Unova, not only because she is a Noble, but because Unova is not where she belongs. It is cramped, finite, and utterly tame. She needs something where she can run around to her heart's content and climb. She needs to be in Hisui.
I have asked my team if any of them would like to stay in Hisui. All but Gliscor, Machamp, and Tangela opted to stay. I went ahead and released all the rest. They belong here.
We leave in a week. I am getting my things together and saying my goodbyes. I will see you soon, Emmet. Just hold out a little bit longer. Im coming back to the station. I love you.

Day 1461 in Hisui
I remembered that today is the four-year anniversary of the day I fell into Hisui, and now my journey on this track is over. It is incredibly early in the morning as I write, documenting the last few moments I will have.
I packed light. I returned most of my things to Irida to use. All the figures I carved I gave to the respective person or Warden of their Noble. The Pokemon I gave to village children or the trainers that have those respective Pokemon. I’m keeping myself and Emmet, along with some of the engines I have carved. I am keeping the figures of my team. Other than that, I have given Laventon my books and I have returned much of my Pearl Clan clothing. I have my satchel, this book, my team, and the few carvings I have decided to bring. And… something special. That is it. I am ready. I will be saying my final goodbyes later once others are prepared.
The sunrise this morning was beautiful. I woke early to experience it one more time with Lady Sneasler. She sat with me and just watched the sun come up over the Highlands with me, as we have done many times before. She carded my hair with her claws.
She also chirped at me to get my attention, holding out an object for me. It was an egg. It could not have been hers, as it is not the season for it. I asked her where it had come from and she pointed to a small Sneasel behind us. I recognized her. She was part of the litter I had helped raise. She ran to me and chirped and tucked the egg into my chest and nuzzled my cheek. I teared up and thanked her.
I am now in Jubilife, in the dojo. I am waiting with the egg. The Leaders and some of the Wardens are coming to see us off later.
Lady Irida approaches. I will sign off. I’m on my way home, Emmet. I will see you soon, I promise.

Emmet being the secret police and normal guy work because he's the perfect good cop in the good/bad dynamic.
He's your verrry last chance. Talk now, before you get thrown to the crazy.
yeah he probably is the Good Cop in the Good Cop, Bad Cop dynamic. He's so friendly and personable! Please talk to him. It will be better for you in the long run if you do. If you don't... well, he can't promise what will happen to you! So you should talk to him so these verrry awful things do not happen to you. :)
Also yeah, lmao... Ingo looking at knives like... nice. he bets you could separate a man's head cleanly from his body with something that sharp. He's always appreciative of the claws on his Boss' Sneasler. Those look like those could do some serious damage.
#asks#spy x family au#also I just realized that I'm a fool. Barry is Becky now.#Irida is Ingo's assassin boss#she deserves it I think#also combining these since you accidentally submitted the second one

I’ve had a Pokémon OC named Grey for years that had gray hair and silver eyes and seeing Ingo and Emmet constantly has only made me want to expand my lore.
She’s always been half human and half Pokémon, Giratina being her Pokémon patent. A Gengar named Kol is basically her big brother and she adopts a bunch of ghost Pokémon to live with her at the edge of town. She works for the leaders of the GO teams, making deliveries between their HQs and Professor Willow(who legally is her guardian).
The only Pokémon on her “team” that I for sure know how she got them are Kol, a phastump named Penelope that was the spirit of a lonely girl, and a mymiku she got as a gift from Willow on her first “birthday” I forget it’s name right now. but she also has a yamask, jeliphant, and rotom. The yamask is a bit of a crybaby but the other two are less thought out.
Team Galactic want to use her for their new world so eventually she has to flee, leaving her ghost family behind and building a whole new team (I forget what she ends up with but I think snorunt was one and a houndoom).
But then Arceus happened and the whole popular theory that Ingo was brought there via the distortion world finally gives me a great way to explain how Grey came to be! If Giratina chose Ingo to go into the past then Grey could have been made in his image but being part genderless Eldrich ghost-dragon god made her slightly different. She already had his eyes, hair and mouth, but instead of only having the hair knives as her pokeform aka that side helmet armor that Giratina have she also gets it in human form. She’s also a shiny (with slight albino traits) with the silver and blue main aesthetics.
And then I thought, hey she just woke up in a flower patch in the original lore so why not have it so her egg arrives in Hisui the same time as her “dad”? And of course she hatched and wonders around as a Pokémon before seeing humans and thinking, oh I wanna, sand naturally shifting to her human body.
-Personally I think Diamond Clan finding her and assuming (kinda correctly) that she is the new amnesiac Warden’s kid. Doesn’t help that she only speaks Pokémon and Ingo almost seems to do as well with how he can connect with them. So she gets shipped to Pearl Clan as a token of good will or w/e. But having a Pearl Clan member find her and thinking that poor Ingo and his young family must have been a very bad attack that left him a amnesiac and separated from his child who can barely walk is also a very good way to go. I mean Diamond just is better for clan relations and my fave Legends ship.
But anyway she gets to spend her early days with her daddy and mama Sneasler, when his role is over they both get sent back but where Ingo gets his memory back Grey loses hers and ends up in the wrong region. So when she’s on the run from Team Galactic she ends up in Ninaba riding the subway to lay low but everyone is staring at her and it’s freaking her out until a figure shields her from view. Looking up she sees a familiar face, like the one she sees in the mirror every day. She wonders if he is also a Giratina but he smiles and that’s the wrong smile, the wrong coat, the wrong voice. But what’s right? Big misunderstanding of her being a descendant of the child Ingo “left” and not the mostly grown child herself.
Then after that would be the next bit of old lore. She ends up at the cave that can go to the distortion world but with team Galactic using her as a weird sacrifice in exchange for their new world with their old leader. Her Father just ends up possessing her and destroying them and trying to declare war on humans. But people she’s come to love got wind of this and do the “power of love” thing to bring her back and make her Father leave. It half works, she’s not possessed but he in on the human world still and in a sorta human shape.
Now we can have Ingo find her again and help her remember, maybe have the dads fall in love? Or just co-parent like a divorced couple lol idk. But he get to meet her teams and friends and introduce her to her uncle Emmet “the wrong smile!?” And aunts (I can’t remember how names spelling but the ⚡️&🪶 leaders) Chandelure is a great ghost mom! And Penelope and the other baby mons are like “grandpa?” It’s great! Queue up the happy family montage or w/e
Ok I’m sleepy bye

Neither of them are part of my battling team! Crime was named crime because he stole one of my knives. I named Punishment to fit the theme.
Hisui is so cool! I have Sneasler, zorua, Samurott, and a pair of growlithe and I’m looking into a petlil to evolve into Liligant. Also I have a post on the way about the story of Palina and Iscan because I love that story
Hello! A fellow Hisui enthusiast with a Weaville and a Sneasler! Mine are named crime and punishment. -Fox (barrenrawstliesbleeding)
Love the name convention for the two of them, very fitting. Do you battle with them? They sound like the kind of names you give to Pokemon for battling, could be wrong about that. Always nice to see other folks interested in Hisui around here!
