📚 🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆃🅾🆄🆁 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆 📚 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 by K. L. Slater ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on Missing as part of the book tour hosted by @bookouture. Thank you for my spot on the tour and for the advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. 𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 If I know anything about K. L. Slater’s books, they’re brilliant emotional roller coasters. Fear to anger to desperation back to fear, and around again. Missing is no different. I experienced each of those emotions as I read through this deep, winding story. Could you trust the mother of the man who murdered your brother? A woman who lied for him? This was a compelling read; one that kept me up far past my bed time (I really needed that beauty sleep). But I didn’t mind because it was original and the pages almost turned themselves. The characters are well written and fully formed, each with their own distinct personalities and perspectives on what is happening. This made it more interesting as you have to evaluate different points of view to fully appreciate the story. Josie is Ivy’s mother and is still dealing with the release of the man responsible for her brothers death 25 years earlier, before being faced with Ivy’s disappearance. Maggie is very interesting, and her perspective and actions are the cause of several plot twists. Then you have Samuel, the man who was obsessed with Josie, and killed her brother Jimmy. He is dark, manipulative and chilling, especially after spending 25 years in prison. Overall, this was a thrilling read, one which I would definitely recommend to any readers of psychological thrillers. I gave Missing, by K. L. Slater, five stars. My blog with additional author and book info is now live. I received an advanced reader copy of The Apartment from Amazon Publishing UK via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion. The Apartment by K. L. Slater is a story about trusting your instincts. Freya Miller is a single mother in need of a job and a place to live with her young daughter, Skye. Freya meets the captivating Dr. Marsden at a coffee shop one morning and as luck would have it, Dr. Marsden has an affordable room for rent. The apartment is smaller than Freya would have liked but it is located in a part of London that she normally could not afford. There are no other children in the building and most of the residents are older and a bit odd, but Freya is determined to make their new apartment home. Freya hopes that all the changes in Skye’s life won’t cause too much turmoil. Soon Skye is acting out, neither of them are sleeping, and both are hearing things. When Freya learns about the tragic circumstances surrounding the previous tenants, she’ll have the fight of her life to save herself and Skye. This was a fast, easy read with an unreliable pace. If you liked Lock Every Door by Riley Sager, you’ll enjoy The Apartment which is available today, April 28, 2020. Goodreads Rating: 3/5 stars #klslater #theapartment #netgalley #arcs #advancedreadercopy #thriller #psychologicalthriller #thrillerbooks #readin2020 #amazonpublishinguk #whatthebook #bookreviews #readersofinstagram #bookaholic @netgalley @amazonpublishing https://www.instagram.com/p/B_i_fEEADe4/?igshid=yfcsvu15invq

If it seems too good to be true it usually is and that is the case in The Apartment by K.L. Slater. A young mother, Freya and her young daughter. Skye. must move after her husband's unexpected death. Out of nowhere she is presented with this offer of a great little apartment in an older home. And the price is "just right". However, her neighbors seem to be a little off. Her daughter, Skye, is unhappy in school. And strange things are happening at their home. She is unsure of who to trust and wonders if she can move before things get worse. If psychological thrillers are on your reading lists this one is for you.

🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙚 Author: K. L. Slater Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Tom and Jesse were best friends since childhood, so were their mothers Jill and Bridget. But their friendship and relations were spoiled the moment Tom killed Jesse and he was sent to Prison. But as ironic as it sounds, 10 years after the incident Bridget marries Tom, a man who killed her son and is still in prison. Jill is furious with Bridget as she thinks she is planning something against Tom to avenge her son's death. And there is Ellie, a 9-year-old son of Jesse who is confused as to why his grandmother married his father's murderer. How can a mother marry a person who killed her son? Did she really forgive Tom or is she planning something? How will they convince their respective families? With so many complicated relationships and a few twists and turns, the story was very engaging and keeps you guessing all the way. The narration was really good with multiple POV's and the pace of the story was decent. Overall it was a great read. #Netgalley #netgalleybooks #TheMarriage #klslater #klslaterauthor #booksofinstagram #bookstagtammer #bookstagram #bookstagramfeatures #bookstagramfeaturesonly #instabooks #thriller #thrillerbooks #romance #suspense #psychologicalthriller #bookishladiesclub #booknookcommunity #bookstagramengagement #bookishaesthetics #bookishprops #flatlay #kindlebooks #ebooks #arc https://www.instagram.com/p/CQJgIT3rXpH/?utm_medium=tumblr

The Mistake K. L. Slater MY RATING ⭐️⭐️⭐️▫️▫️ PUBLISHER Bookouture PUBLISHED October 4, 2017 THE MISTAKE is an emotional and haunting tale of how just one person can negatively alter your life forever.
SUMMARY Eight-year-old Billy goes missing one day, when he is out flying his kite with his sister Rose. Two days later, he was found dead. It’s been sixteen years since Billy’s murder, and Rose still blames herself. She had failed to protect her little brother and she has never fully recovered from the trauma. She still works at the library and lives in the same house she grew up in. One afternoon, while cleaning the home of her long time neighbor, Rose finds something that will shake her world. She thought she knew what had happened to Billy. Her first ever boyfriend, Gareth a scheming narcissist had been found guilty of Billy’s murder. Now she wasn’t so sure.
REVIEW THE MISTAKE is a smartly structured book. The story alternates between the story of Rose’s current life and her life from sixteen years earlier when she first meets Gareth. Rose leads a unfortunate and tortured life and you can’t help but feel very sorry for her. It’s hard reading about her life and her lack of confidence that made her a prime target for Gareth’s manipulation. I really liked the ending of the book and felt better about Rose and her future when it was all is said and done. Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and K. L. Slater for an advance reading copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
