Non-Exhaustive List of Soulmate Fics: Klaroline Pt 1
Okay, I'm bored so I'm compiling my favorite soulmate fics. Here's the Klaroline edition:
Runaway by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
Caroline has been running from her soul mate since she found him standing over her father’s corpse.
Hunt You Slow by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
Discovering that the scourge of the supernatural was her soulmate would be enough to send any girl running.
At Horizon's Edge by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
Sometimes when a girl goes on a shopping trip to pick up a new pair of boots at the local, and somewhat hostile, human space station, she accidentally aids and abets a prison break instead. What happens in the black really doesn't stay in the black.
The Howling by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
Caroline's day goes from bad to worse to insane in a matter of moments.
Written On Your Skin by LaLainaJ
Summary:
It's a rather boring day, at the flower shop Caroline owns. And then The Original Hybrid walks in, and changes her life by uttering a few small words. They're words Caroline knows, words she sees on her skin, every day in the mirror. She's thought about her soulmate, who wouldn't have? But he's the last thing she ever would have expected, and the last person she should want. But she can't quite bring herself to deny their connection.
The Air We Breathe by slstmaraudersjple
Summary:
When Caroline learns that her soulmate is the thousand year old Original Hybrid, she cries, because she knows her world is ending. When Klaus learns that his soulmate is a baby vampire, he is intrigued, because he has waited his entire life for her. Soulmates AU.
Even When We're Ghosts by LaLainaJ
Summary:
He'd just been planning to collect his doppelganger, hadn't anticipated such strong resistance. Now, trapped in his wolf form, until he meets his soulmate, Klaus seeks alternative solutions. He doesn't believe in soulmates. Until Caroline Forbes crosses his path. Caroline thinks she's hallucinating (note to self, don't accept moonshine from old ladies) until her life starts getting... weird. The Mikaelsons aren't great at subtle.
the fate makes for a lousy poet. by for_darkness_shows_the_stars
Summary:
It is not unheard of. Soulmates born too far apart to ever meet. Caroline did her research thoroughly. It’s just rare. And for all that she’d known her entire life that her fated other half was dead long, long before she was even a gleam in her mother’s eye
it’s unfair. . Everyone is born with a soulmate. It just so happens that a millennium divides Caroline from hers.
I Wish I Was (I Wish I Was) by dressedupasmyself
Summary:
“I think that even if you find your soulmate, there’s some measure of choice involved. Maybe some people just make the wrong choices.” “Good,” Caroline said. “What if my soulmate is, like, the worst? I wouldn’t want to be stuck with him forever. I want some kind of choice.” “But that’s the beauty of it,” Elena sounded wistful, “Your soulmate might be awful to everyone else, but they’re the best for you.” Caroline scoffed. “Okay, whatever.”
Passing Notes in Secrecy by perfectpro
Summary:
Caroline doesn’t remember not having a soulmate. Her mom says that the drawings started when she was small, just a baby. So he’s clearly older than her. She doesn’t mind, thinks that it will probably be nice to be with someone who has a little more life experience. She thinks she's one of the lucky ones.
The Raven Hunter by LynyrdLionheart
Summary:
There is a killer hunting frat boys on campus. The Raven Hunter is a terrible name... not that Caroline has a reason to care or anything.
a part of something that’s bigger (than me) by Issay
Summary:
In the beginning she's a plaything, the mean girl brought low, made and unmade by decisions of others and Caroline never receives apologies for most of it. Elena fights for her happy ending and through all of her losses and dark despair she is never alone. Bonnie wins her freedom, powerful in her own right. Caroline is left with uncertainty and obligations. No, the story isn't kind to Caroline. So let's change the story.
oh there you are (i've been looking for you) by breakfasttako
Summary:
Caroline was born a fated one, which means two things: 1) She has a soulmate 2) She's going to die tragically young
What's a Little Ink? by Writerwithagoal
Summary:
What would you get as a tattoo if you knew it would appear on your soulmate?
Hallowed Ground by KiryTheStitchWitch
Summary:
Caroline's trip to Ireland was not going the way it was supposed to. She was expecting stories and myths, and instead finds that some legends are a lot more real than she could have imagined. And hot. Really hot.
Inadvisable by MissNMikaelsonSummary:Everyone has soul words. The first thing your soulmate will ever say etched somewhere on your body. Caroline always dreaded meeting hers. She had never imagined this though; she had never imagined him. He had all but given up. Just a one shot for one of my favorite pairings.
Midnattsol by BelleMorte180
Summary:
The man laying before her was her soulmate, someone who should have died a thousand years ago. Written for AU-Season week three
Ship of Bones by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
When humanity struggles to maintain its racial identity in the cold reaches of space, Caroline Forbes has hidden the gifts her alien mother left her. But secrets aren't secrets forever.
Familiar Taste of Poison by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
A great love isn't always a blessing.
Holding Out for a Hero by slstmaraudersjple
Summary:
Klaus would totally be able to focus on his plans for world domination
if only his soulmate would stop singing that thrice-damned song. But then there's silence, and Klaus grows worried. Soulmate AU where songs that one’s soulmate sings gets stuck in one’s head. CW/TW: descriptions of Caroline being abused by Damon but nothing graphic/explicit.

TVD AND KLAROLINE FANS I HAVE A FANFIC IDEA (if this fanfic does exist, I apologize ahead of time, but please do send me the link if it does exist)
Alright, so imagine if Klaus and Caroline were already in a relationship together, and Klaus had to deal with things in New Orleans (as always) and the Mikaelsons desperately want to meet Klaus's new girl that's got him completely whipped (you seriously can't tell me otherwise that the man isn't whipped)
Klaus obviously protested against it considering the dangers they were facing, but then things started getting bad, so the smartest sibling, Elijah, summoned Caroline, and she joined in on the Mikaelson New Orleans family chaos while keeping klaus from murdering his family which BTW scored a LOT of points from the other Mikaelsons.
I strongly believe Rebekah would be jealous that she is no longer Klaus's favorite but is grateful that Caroline can keep his distracted. Marcel immediately likes her and sees her as a mother figure, like he sees Klaus as a father figure and would definitely make mom and dad jokes. Elijah already loves her and has great respect for her for putting up with his brother. Kol and Davina are more impressed than someone led this long with Klaus without getting killed. Same thing with Hayley.
Of course, Hayley would not be the only bride in New Orleans, but the Mikaelsons are definitely throwing a great wedding for Caroline and Klaus. Plus, I think Hayley and Jackson would both respect Caroline more than Klaus and always go to her when it comes to supernatural politics.
Freya would definitely like her but at the same time be a little jealous since all of the family are in love with her
(Like I said, if this fanfic does exist, PLEASE SEND ME THE LINK OR POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE FANFIC! I NEED IT!!!
Also, Klaus and Caroline give me such a mafia boss and his wife mixed with beauty and the beast vibe)

WIP Wednesday: dragon au
The one in which Klaus and Caroline hate each other, but their dragons are mated, so they are now forever tied to each other ✹
-
“Well, this isn’t ideal,” she said, because someone had to say something.
And it didn’t look as though it was going to be him, with the way he was sitting there, his eyes closed. Even after he was the one to pull her into this empty classroom, claiming that they needed to talk.
Klaus opened his icy blue eyes then, fixing them on her as she leaned against the wall, arms crossed in front of her body. “Oh, really? I hadn’t noticed.”
She huffed. “You know, I knew you were an asshole, but I wasn’t aware you were so fucking dramatic. Nothing has to change. You keep to yourself, I keep to myself. Caerulus and AstĂ©ria deal with their marriage bond or whatever on their own. There, done.”
He gave her a saccharine smile. “Right. And when I graduate next year and you’re still a student, and suddenly the two mated dragons don’t live together anymore, is that still done? Or even worse: when you graduate as well — if you get that far — and the royal family is forced to foster a Forbes under our roof, is that resolved?”
Caroline pushed from the wall, a growl escaping her throat as she reached for one of her daggers. The way he spoke of her family – as if they were less than. As if he had any right to–
Klaus rose from his seat, and she felt her blood begin to boil in anticipation. It wouldn’t be the first time they had gotten violent.
“Nothing has to change?” He challenged. “This has to change.” He gestured between them. “Running you through with my sword would be a lovely way to solve all of my problems, sweetheart, but I can’t. Hurting you would hurt Caerulus and, in turn, that would hurt AstĂ©ria.”
“Which would in turn hurt you,” she concluded.
“Yes,” he said. “So let go of that fucking dagger, will you? This is not resolved, Caroline. Nothing about this is simple. You may have bonded the most powerful dragon in your year, but that will only make you a bigger target. The ones who envy you will try to prove that you can be defeated. And the ones who hate your family
” Something dangerous glowed in his eyes. “They will kill you to make sure we do not have another deserter leading a dragon away from our realm.”
She gripped her dagger again. “My father was not–”
“And now I,” he continued as though she hadn’t spoken, “will have to make sure you don’t get killed. You are still weaker and have less training than the others.”
“I defeated you in combat, remember?”
Oh, how glorious it had been to dig her dagger deep in between his ribs. It had taken them dragon magic and six days to heal the precious prince.
Klaus bared his teeth at her. “Only because you poisoned me first.”
She shrugged. Playing fair was not a requirement in this school. And she would not lose to him again. Humiliation still painted her cheeks red at the memory of his dagger in her abdomen, and her dislocated shoulder throbbing in pain as she passed out on her very first challenge this year.
Caroline sighed. “Aren’t they supposed to be wise? How the fuck did they think trapping us together was a good idea?”
He scoffed. “I asked AstĂ©ria that.”
“Yeah, how did that go?”
“Fruitless. She told me not to question a dragon’s choice.”
She fought the urge to roll her eyes, if only because she had a feeling Caerulus would know and would not appreciate it.
“Well, then. What do you have in mind?” she asked, the words passing through her teeth as though it pained her to say them. Because it definitely did. She had never, ever wanted to ask Klaus Miakelson’s opinion on anything.
He looked at her as if he was assessing her; and whatever he found, he seemed to think she was coming up short. Gods, she wanted to fucking punch him.
“Every morning, an hour before your chores, you will meet with me.”
Her glare could probably burn through iron, but he seemed unfazed. “Why?”
“So that I can train you.”

WIP WEDNESDAY!!!
no, i haven't forgotten, okay
week #24
it's the amnesia au again, and klaus is getting birthday presents
“Me next,” Kol declares. “Please, nobody throw anything at me, it’s getting old.” He approaches with two packages, both rectangular and flat. “This one first,” he says of the larger, heavier one. Removing the wrapping paper reveals a matte black case, and opening it a set of sleek black throwing knives. They’re absolutely gorgeous, not that he’ll let it show. He picks one up and hums appreciatively. “Well-balanced.” “Well, of course they are. As if I’d settle for anything else.” He itches to try them out, though he doesn’t think Elijah would appreciate a hole that would make in the wall. Later, then. “The other one, now,” Kol pipes up then, swaying on his heels. He seems impatient. Klaus weighs the second gift in his hand and curves an eyebrow. “A book?” “Is that so surprising?” “I didn’t know you could read.” Kol takes the jab with unexpected grace, and Klaus tears into the paper. It soon becomes apparent why. From the title page, a pair of white-haired and wrinkled humans smile at him, above a title that spells out: LOSING YOUR MEMORY IN YOUR OLD AGE? Kol, he’ll later decide, is only fortunate he sent the book hurtling at his head and not one of his new and shiny throwing knives.

klaroline - footballer x cheerleader au
Caroline Forbes stood on the sidelines, her heart pounding with anticipation as the final moments of the championship game ticked away. The Timberwolves, had fought tooth and nail for this victory, and now, with the scoreboard in their favour, victory was within their grasp.
“History has been made tonight as the Timberwolves claims victory in one of the most unforgettable games of the season!" The announcer's voice boomed across the stadium, setting off a wave of cheers and celebrations.
Caroline couldn't contain her excitement as she embraced her squad, and chanted their cheers for the last time tonight. Tears of joy filled her eyes as she scanned the football field, searching for one person in particular.
And there he was, her boyfriend, Klaus Mikaelson, the captain of the Timberwolves' football team, running towards her with a victorious grin on his face. Caroline's heart skipped a beat as she watched him approach, feeling all the butterflies in her stomach.
"Klaus!" she exclaimed as he reached her, unable to contain her joy. Without hesitation, he lifted her up in his arms, spinning her around in a whirlwind of happiness. Caroline's laughter bubbled up as she clung to him, feeling the rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins.
As Klaus set her back down, their eyes met, and Caroline felt a jolt of electricity pass between them. She wrapped her arms around him, savouring the warmth of his embrace.
"You were amazing out there! I'm so proud of you," Caroline said, her voice soft and endearing as she leaned in to kiss his cheek.
"Thank you for being here tonight, love," Klaus let out, his voice breathless after the game.
Caroline pulled away from him slightly, but laced her arms around his neck. "Seriously? I would NEVER miss your games, you should know that by now. Also, I gotta be on watch out for all of your groupies back there," she teased, nodding towards the crowd of adoring fans.
Klaus flashed her his trademark dimpled smirk, his eyes sparkling with affection. “Well unfortunate for them, I’m spoken for, ” he said, leaning down to press his lips to hers in a passionate yet tender kiss, sealing his victory once again with her by his side.

“You're a good dancer.”
“I manage,” Caroline answers, gritting her teeth when Tyler’s hand drifts lower on her waist. “Unlike your self-control,” she says with a warning tone, hitching his hand up. “Careful, Tyler.”
Tyler lifts a hand in his defence. “No harm, no foul, Caroline.”
“No harm, a lot of foul,” Caroline hisses, letting him spin her. “We’ve discussed this.”
Tyler scoffs. “You can't tell me you were serious, Care. The guy’s a psycho.”
“The guy’s my husband. I'm married, Tyler.”
“Yeah, to a psycho.”
“He’s not a psycho,” Caroline berates him sharply. “Just because we dated once doesn’t mean I still have feelings for you, Tyler. I've moved on.”
“Caroline, everyone knows you never wanted to marry him. Your dad was in debt, and you did it to help him out. You don’t love him, you're clearly unhappy.”
“You don’t know what I feel,” Caroline tells him, her tone icy. “Stop making assumptions. You don’t know me anymore, and you certainly don’t know my marriage.”
Tyler’s grip on her waist tightens. “You don’t have to do this, Care. We were happy once, we can be happy again.”
“Our happiness shattered the moment you decided to leave me to pursue your pathetic revenge fantasy against Klaus. Your revenge mattered more to you than I did, and so we ended it.”
Tyler’s eye twitches. “So, what, you rejecting me and marrying him instead is just a way to get back at me?”
“I married him to get my father out of debt,” Caroline snaps. “It had absolutely nothing to do with you, nothing in my life does anymore. Stop following me, or I'll make you regret it.”
She twists her grip out of his grasp the moment the song ends, careful not to be conspicuous. She turns heel, ready to march away from him.
“Care.”
Only the soft tone of his voice makes her stop in her tracks, the one that reminds her of a boy who was funny and kind, one she once almost loved when she was a teenager in a small town.
“Care, don’t do this. I still love you—”
“I never loved you,” Caroline cuts in harshly. “I could have, but I didn’t. And it’s your own fault. It was five years ago, Tyler, move on. We’re not eighteen anymore.”
“I know you don’t love him—”
“Do you?” asks a silky voice from behind them, and the hair on the back of Caroline’s neck stands up. Tyler visibly stiffens when Klaus comes up to stand beside her, his hands tucked in the pockets of his suit that only Caroline knows is hiding a collection of three different knives and at least one pistol. “And what makes you so sure of that, mate?”
“I'm not your mate,” Tyler growls. “And this is none of your business, Klaus.”
“Isn't it? This is my wife you're speaking to here, Tyler, which makes it every bit my business. And I did recall my name being said.”
“This is a matter between me and Caroline; it doesn’t involve you. Leave.”
“Watch your tone, mate,” Klaus says coldly. “Threatening me doesn’t lead to anything good.”
Tyler ignores him, turning back to her. “Care,” he says again, his voice slightly pleading. “Care, please. I’m your friend, I love you—”
“Be very careful how you choose to finish that sentence, Lockwood,” Klaus interrupts, his tone dangerous.
“Care—”
“Tyler,” Caroline interrupts him quickly, not wanting the benefit to be transformed into a bloodbath. “Just
just go.”
A hurt expression passes over his face. “What? But, Caroline—”
“Tyler, I don’t have feelings for you anymore, how much clearer can I make it? I've literally married someone else.”
An angry look crosses his face. “You don’t even like him. He could hurt you, Caroline—”
As subtly so that no one could even see it, Klaus whips out the pistol from his suit jacket and points it at Tyler. “Another word, mate, and the only thing that’s going to hurt is the bullet I'll put between your skull. Walk. Away.”
Tyler looks at Klaus with such hatred that Caroline actually thinks that he might explode. He throws one loathing glance towards Klaus and a fleeting look of something she can't identify towards her, then turns away and walks out the ballroom, slamming the doors behind him, causing a few guests to look at him quizzically.
Caroline sighs, turning to Klaus, who’s looking murderous, preparing herself for another one of his tantrums. “Klaus, listen—”
“We’re dancing,” he says abruptly, tucking the gun back into its hidden pocket steering her towards the dance floor, where the orchestra has just started up a waltz—not one of Caroline’s favourites, but one she can do well. He grasps her arm, not too hard, but not gentle either, and hauls her to face him, one hand on her waist.
Caroline grits her teeth. “Don’t manhandle me.”
“My apologies,” he says, not sounding the least bit apologetic. “Pardon my temper when I just saw a man making love confessions to my wife.”
The music starts, and the couples around them start moving, Klaus’s hand warm in hers as they circle around the dance floor. Caroline scoffs. “Please, don’t act like that means something.”
“Doesn’t it?”
“No,” she says firmly. “It doesn’t.”
Klaus laughs. “And yet you reject the man like he were nothing.”
“I didn’t reject him,” Caroline grinds out, trying her hardest to keep her mind off the fact of how well the suit fits him. “I'm married, there shouldn’t have to be a rejection.”
“Married,” Klaus echoes. “You say the word as though it is a trap.”
Caroline says nothing, lets him spin her, a few loose curls escaping from her updo. She nearly gasps when his hand rests on the bare skin on her back, his piercing eyes boring into hers.
“Do you feel trapped, Caroline?”
Does she? It certainly wasn’t her choice, this marriage. A sham to get her father out of debt, she had agreed to marry the most powerful son of the man her father owed money to, someone she had never met, the dangerous man everyone whispered about, the one who ran Chicago’s underbelly. Klaus Mikaelson is dangerous, possessive, controlling, ask anyone.
Has she ever felt trapped? No, she hasn’t.
“No,” she answers him quietly. “I don’t.”
Klaus doesn’t react, laces his fingers within hers. She can't feel his skin against hers; she’s wearing silken gloves gifted to her by her pretentious sister-in-law. They’re utterly ridiculous, but Klaus seems to have a fascination with them on her fingers, plucking at the fabric whenever she wears them, as though he wants them off.
“You were rude to Tyler,” she says to fill the silence, regretting her choice of topic when Klaus’s eyes darken.
“I said what needed to be said.”
“You threatened him.”
“Because he tried to steal you,” he growls, his fingers around hers tightening. “Am I supposed to just let that happen, let anyone take what is mine?”
Caroline inhales sharply, retort forgotten at the sight of Klaus’s livid, hot, possessive eyes staring at her. Her gaze follows the line of his throat, stopping at his Adam’s apple, which rests against his bow tie. “I am not an object.”
“No,” Klaus agrees, pulling her closer to him so that their bodies nearly touch. “You are far more precious, sweetheart.”
Caroline’s eyes widen slightly at his declaration, and Klaus smirks, spinning her again. His next words shake her to her core when she hears them, and it’s lucky she isn't looking at him when she does.
“You care for me.”
Caroline represses a shiver, and closes her eyes. “That’s an assumption.”
“Is it a wrong one?”
Are they moving? She can't really tell, but the ballroom doesn’t resemble the ballroom anymore, and instead looks like the library she dreams of coming to, the huge one in his penthouse she was never able to muster up the nerve to visit, for unfathomable reasons. She can still hear the music, albeit faintly, and Klaus turns her to face him, his eyes unreadable. “Is it?”
Caroline sets her jaw and looks him squarely in the eyes. “Yes.”
Klaus doesn’t say anything, just turns her so that her back is pressed against his chest. “Tell me, Caroline,” he murmurs in her ear, making her shiver, the pleasant sensation of his warm breath on her neck. “What spurs you to lie to me so convincingly?”
Her breaths are short, and she’s filled with a sense of apprehension, although none of it is from fear and all from anticipation. “I'm not lying.”
Klaus laughs. “Three months in a crime ring and already so sure of her talent for deception. Admirable, yet misguided. You are not as subtle as you think you are, sweetheart.”
A hot sense of annoyance flashes through her. “Excuse me?”
She gasps when she feels hot lips at her throat, teeth following, his tongue soothing over the mark left. “I've watched you. Watched you try not to watch me and scowl as I discuss my estate’s affairs with Genevieve and the Marshall girl, or the state of my mother’s will with Aurora. I've seen your beautiful face twist with worry whenever I load a gun, flinch whenever you see me in the medical wing getting cleaned up. You care for me.”
“Klaus
”
“I do. I care about you. Whenever I see you in the arms of another man, I want to rip him apart, limb to limb, for putting his hands on you. I almost had a heart attack when I heard about the attempt on your life, which I later dealt with, by slowly slaughtering the lot of them, the ones who planned to kill you, sending back their bodies as a reminder of what would happen to anyone who dared to even think of touching you.”
“That’s
” Caroline nearly whines out loud when he removes his mouth from her neck, looking her in the eyes. “You're
our marriage is a business arrangement.”
Klaus makes a low sound in the back of his throat, his fingers lightly skimming over the neckline of her dress. “While it certainly started out that way, it hasn’t remained. Do you disagree?”
“I
I don’t—”
“Live in denial all you want, love,” Klaus says, his eyes drifting down to stop at her lips. “I certainly won't about the fact that I—”
Caroline leans forward and presses her lips to his, partly to shut him up and partly because she wants to kiss him again. He tasted of whiskey and smoke, and Caroline nearly moans at the combination before he pulls away, a small smile on his face. “Charming,” he murmurs against her mouth, leaving a soft kiss on her lips. “But pointless. Is it that hard for you to hear that I care for you?”
Caroline breathes in shakily. “Why?”
“I fancy you,” he breathes. “You're beautiful, you're strong, you're full of light. You enchant me. Is there a reason I shouldn’t like you? You are, after all, my wife.”
“You have got to stop with that,” she says breathily.
“With what?”
“Calling me your wife.”
“Aren’t you?” The smirk that forms on his face is deadly, making him look even more handsome than he really is. “You do wear my ring, after all. Wear the necklace with my family’s symbol on it. Use my last name on everything you sign. You. Are. Mine.”
She should not find this attractive. This possessive, controlling man who kills people without breaking a sweat and murders with dimples in his cheeks is

Hot.
Her husband.
“Tell me you do not care for me,” Klaus whispers. She can't hear the music now, but she doesn’t care, all her attention fixed on the man before her. “Tell me you feel absolutely nothing for me when you look at me. I'll kiss every lie off your lips as many times as I have to.”
Caroline lets out a shuddering breath, her eyes fixed on his lips. “Klaus
”
“Say it.”
She can't. She can't lie to him and tell him that what she feels for him is not hatred, as much as she wants to.
“Say it, my love.”
His words send a rush of wetness between her thighs, making her clench them together. If Klaus notices (which she’s sure he does), he doesn’t say anything, although his lips curl into a smirk. Caroline reddens, and Klaus’s eyes travel down the line of her neck.
Caroline inhales, looking him in the eyes. “If I see you with Hayley or Genevieve again, I will end you,” she grits out, winding her fingers in the short curls at the back of his head and gripping them tightly. “See Aurora again, and I will leave. I want them all gone. Immediately.”
Klaus smiles widely, the sight pleasing. “Of course. Anything else?”
“I don’t share,” Caroline warns.
“Oh,” Klaus replies, his tone low. “Neither do I.”
Caroline gives him a shark-like grin. “Good. Now that we've got that out of the way, how long will it take for you to push me against the bookshelves?”
She feels her back hit the walls before she even finishes speaking, strands from her hairstyle escaping and falling freely down her shoulders. Klaus isn't gentle, roughly ripping off her gloves and pushing up her skirt, getting to his knees, not before giving her a bruising kiss that leaves her light-headed before she even has a chance to process what's going on.
Klaus bats away the waves of fabric that flow to the ground, hooking one finger underneath her panties and ripping them off. She lets out a breathy laugh, twisting her hands in his curls. “I liked those panties, you dick.”
Klaus swipes his tongue against her folds, leaving her moaning. “The feeling is reciprocated, though not enough to leave them intact. I'll buy you new ones.”
He hooks one of her legs over his shoulder, pausing to leave hot, biting kisses on her inner thigh. She bites her lip, suppressing a moan, knowing those places would bruise later. Klaus presses his mouth to her core, sucking her clit between his lips and smirking at the garbled sound she lets out. “Good, sweetheart?”
“Shut up,” she hisses. “Make me come.”
Klaus doesn’t argue, dipping his head and thrusting his tongue between her folds, making her clap a hand over her mouth to muffle the sounds she’s letting out in fear of being heard.
It’s the thrust of his fingers that makes her see stars, and she topples over the edge with a muffled scream. Klaus gets to his feet, straightening his suit, the smuggest look on his face. Caroline leans forward and pulls him in by his bow tie, which is untied and hanging loosely around his neck. She groans when she tastes herself on his lips, winding her legs around his waist, uncaring that she’s probably ruining his pants.
“Eager, are we?” Klaus’s laugh is hot against her clavicle, where his lips have travelled, and Caroline growls.
“If you don’t get inside me in the next five seconds I will fucking kill you.”
Klaus grins, then suddenly looks so frustrated that he looks furious. “I don’t have a condom—”
Caroline cuts him off with a kiss. “Pill. Inside me, now.”
Klaus releases her thighs to fumble with the button of his pants, pushing down his boxers. He hesitates slightly, pulling back. “Are you—”
“Completely sure,” Caroline says impatiently. “I wanted you since ages, fuck me.”
Caroline’s eyes roll back at the first thrust of his hips, hands scrabbling for a surface to hold onto other than his shoulders. Her fingers find smooth shelves and latch on, and she honestly wouldn’t be surprised to find scratches on the wood later. Klaus groans into her neck, muttering filthy promises of what he was going to do to her when he was done, how he wasn’t nearly finished with her yet.
“God,” Caroline moans, giving up on the shelves and wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss, moaning at the taste of whiskey on his tongue. “Klaus, just a little more—”
Klaus reaches down between them and hooks two fingers inside her. “Come for me, love. I want to feel you around my cock, let go.”
She shatters with a short scream, burying her face into his chest, Klaus following her with a short groan. She slumps against him, both their breathing unsteady, but when Caroline looks at him, his eyes have never been brighter.
“I've had enough of this party,” she tells him fighting to keep her tone from being breathy. “Want to get out of here?”
The grin on his face is like the devil. “I thought you'd never ask, sweetheart.”
xxx.

hii, Yokan! how are you? <3
i was wondering if you have any rom-com!klaroline fanfiction rec, perchance? I've been craving for those lately 😭😭
have a good day! xoxo
Hug me, friend! đŸ«‚ I love a good rom-com style fic. If you haven't yet, I highly recommend that you read everything by @misssophiachase! She has so many delicious drabbles and fics with that rom-com vibe! Keeping Up Appearances is such a fandom classic, Spellbound is fantastic and has a little magical twist, which I love, and Collision Course is another incredible one! But seriously, just go through everything. Cristy is a *master* of the rom-com fics, there are dozens and dozens, some longer, some shorter, but all equally delicious. I'm sure you'll find material enough there to keep you entertained for a long, long time.
A fic I really love is Colored You In by @lalainajanes. Not sure it qualifies as rom-com but it certainly has the vibes! Delivered by @honestgrins is another fandom classic and it's a You've Got Mail AU, so it fits the description perfectly!
Also, another true classic that is not exactly rom-com but ticks a lot of boxes and has some magical twists and that if you haven't read yet, you definitely should is F*ck You Flowers by @lynyrdwrites. It's such a delightful read, I can't even đŸ€ŒđŸ€Œ
I guess some of these are more the Human AU with romance type rather than classic rom-com, but you get what I mean. 😂

Klaroline WIP Wed - Waffle House AU - Kol Drinks Coffee (questionable)
Part One here Part Two here Part Three here Part Four here Part Five here
“Order your own,” she glared.
“How can I when—”
“Oh sorry, Caroline!” Short June scooted up next to the table, pulling her pad and a pen from her apron. “Didn’t see you had company, and Marcy’s in the back.” She shook her short black bob out of her face and smiled at Kol. “What can I get you?”
Kol leaned one arm on the table and propped his head up on his hand. “Hello darling. What can you get me?” His smile was all charm.
Caroline kicked him under the table.
“Oh.” His smile bounced off June like a rubber ball. She pointed at the menus stacked behind the condiments at the end of the table by the window. “Menus are right there, I can come back after you’ve had a chance to look them over. Do you know what you want to drink?”
Caroline was having this horrible moment of kinship with Caroline Bingley in Pride and Prejudice—the 2005 version, her favorite—when she asked if they are soon to be beset by every Bennet in the countryside: was every Mikaelson in the area going to show up and personally annoy her?
“Oh, he’s not stay—” she started.
“Coffee would be excellent.” Kol’s smile followed June as she left, and then he turned back to Caroline. “That hurt, you know,” he pouted.
She ignored that. “So fine, you’re alive. Congrats! What are you doing here?” DĂ©jĂ  vu.
“Well for starters, I’m—oh marvelous, darling,” he said, as June stopped by with another mug, a dish of creamers, filled his cup up, and left.
“For starters,” he continued, “I’m having coffee in what the internet informs me is a staple of Southern Americana.”
“You googled Waffle House?” Caroline asked, momentarily distracted by that detail.
Kol began opening creamers and dumping them into his coffee until it was an astonishingly light color. “I google everything. It’s the only way to catch up after being in a box for—” he lifted a hand, silently counted a few fingers, “—ninety-six years.” Pulling six sugars out of the sweetener caddy, he ripped them open and dumped the lot in. Stirring his concoction with a spoon, he said, “I love YouTube. Learned how to drive from that.”
Caroline winced as he took a sip from his cup. Good thing vampires couldn’t get cavities. “Okay so your no doubt stellar driving aside, what are you doing here, bothering me? We’ve literally never said two words to each other.”
He smirked at her over the rim of his mug. “Is Rebekah the only one who’s allowed to visit now? My, that will twist Nik’s knickers.” He snickered at the alliteration.
She leaned back in the booth and crossed her arms. “Your evil sister—”
“She’s my only sister, the evil part is implied.” Picking up the menu, he perused his choices.
“—wasn’t visiting, she was interrupting my late night study session. The way you’re doing.” She glanced pointedly at her notebooks.
“Didn’t look much like studying.” Kol smiled now, with teeth. “Looked like hunting.”

Non-Exhaustive List of Soulmate Fics: Klaroline Pt 2
Okay, I'm bored so I'm compiling my favorite soulmate fics. Here's the Klaroline edition:
All I Need by emeraldvixen
Summary:
In which I vaguely follow TVD canon and write the soulmate/werewolf mating AU which absolutely no one asked for. OR The one in which Klaus finds his soulmate, gets bitten, hides his mating mark from her and waits for the day she'll let him give her one back. Fluffy, mildly angsty slow burn with possible super hot hybrid smut in later chapters. *Nominated for a KC Award in the Best Smut Multi-Chapter category*
With Roses in my Hands by emeraldvixen
Summary:
Soulmate AU inspired by a Tumblr post, in which anything you paint on your skin appears on your soulmates skin too. I believe the original poster is let-gavin-free. Winner of the 2020 KC Award in the Best AU supernatural one-shot category.
Entanglement by sunshineandfangs (Avana)
Summary:
Soulmates were a complicated phenomenon that no one quite understood, as neither science nor magic nor ambitious combinations of the two could definitively explain how the connection worked. But for the most part, people were happy to have soulmates: platonic, romantic, multiple, or otherwise. Then there were the exceptions... Unfortunately, Caroline Forbes had one Niklaus Mikaelson as her soulmate, and no amount of advanced warning could really prepare her. Unfortunately for Niklaus Mikaelson, no one saw fit to warn him of the force of nature that was his soulmate.
Jar of Hearts by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
In a society where vampire allegiance is worn openly on their skin, Caroline Forbes is anomaly. She woke from transition marked by a single triangle. For six decades, she's hidden the truth of her allegiance, refusing to abandon what family she has left. Klaus Mikaelson's sudden appearance in Chicago bodes well for no one. For Klaus has spent five hundred years burying the truth of his curse, given as bloody vengeance for the death of Katerina. Klaus has a soulmate.
A Thousand Years and then Some by slstmaraudersjple
Summary:
"C'mon love, what's a little murder between soulmates?" Klaus discovers his soulmate as he kills her. Unbeknownst to him, she dies with vampire blood in her system and returns as a vampire. Unfortunately for him, she leaves Mystic Falls and spends the next couple centuries running from him. Never let it be said that they weren't stubborn. One-shot. Or, in which the Caroline and Klaus discover that they are soulmates when Klaus kills her, and a displeased newly born baby vampire spends the next couple centuries running from him and his family while living in denial. But the Mikaelsons play the long game, and they play for keeps
and that includes Caroline. Klaroline featuring the Mikaelson siblings (no Freya).
No Rest for the Wicked by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
When Bonnie goes missing, Caroline returns to New York City in the hope that she can find her before their past catches up. But New York's supernatural underbelly is ruled by the unforgiving Mikaelson Syndicate. With nightmares awaiting around every corner, complications arise when a simple one night stand changes everything.
Burn For Me by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
Ambassador Caroline Forbes is returning home to take up the mantle as Princess and to marry her betrothed, Tyler Lockwood. But a rest stop quickly becomes a problem, as she finds herself dealing with not only dragon claiming magic, but the dragon.
Standing Outside of Heaven by Cupcakemolotov
Summary:
When Caroline Forbes is sixteen, she's cursed by a demon. Forced to flee from her coven, she learns that not all curses are what they appear, and that demons can take many forms. Including the shape of her soul mate.

Hi! I’m a HUGE FAN of your story The Big Bad Wolf and I’m so honored to be able to talk with you. I have already read the whole story like twenty times and absolutely love it. Klaus is my absolute favorite character in both TVD and TO and I feel he didn’t get the ending he deserved in canon. I’m so glad you gave him a chance to have a relationship with his real dad, and expanded his relationships with his siblings, particularly Kol. I am trying very hard to wait patiently for the rewrite, and from the sneak peeks you’ve posted I’m sure it’s going to be amazing. Also, absolutely love all the Klaroline moments, those two are just made for each other and I sometimes just watch Season 3 and 4 of TVD just for Klaroline. Also love you chose to eliminate all the Hayley drama, just ugh hated that in canon and I hope Hayley NEVER even appears in your stories.
I was wondering though, do you think you might include Klaus having a baby with Caroline maybe? I just always thought is was so cool in canon how he was the only vampire who could reproduce. And I think including this and making it work with like the mate bond being part of the hybrid loophole would be super cool. Also I feel like a huge part of Klaus’s character and his redemption story is him being a dad and the love for his child motivated him more than anything to be a better person and open his heart. I think having him become a dad with the woman he loves would help him to better himself tremendously. Also, love how Caroline was an amazing “mom” to the twins in canon and I feel like having them have a child together just makes perfect sense and that they would be amazing parents.
Anyway these are my thoughts but let me know your expert opinion about them. Have a great day and wishing the best of luck to continue writing your masterpiece and finish soon.
❀❀
Hi! Lovely to meet you! Thanks so much for reading and loving the story; it's close to my heart too. I was working on it tonight in fact! Got a scene done that's in Rebekah's new character arc chapter. It's looking up to be a tearjerker.
And as for Hayley and a Klaroline baby.... um...
Well.
This is awkward.
First, Hayley WILL make an appearance in TBBW. Don't worry though! I have certain... plans for Hayley Marshall that may or may not end with her demise hehehehehehe. As for Klaus having a baby with Caroline....
Yeah... Nah, I'm not touching that.

Niklaus turned to face her, satisfaction clear on his face. Her stomach twisted at that smile.
"Perhaps you need some time to recover your memories, my lady. I am nothing if not a patient man."
Katerina resisted the urge to scoff. His voice was low, yet she heard every word he spoke over the bustling of the soldiers around them. Some glanced at her with a kind of pity, but she couldn't understand why. Whose tent was she about to enter?
Katerina stepped into the tent none too graciously, courtesy of Niklaus. When she lifted her head to survey, she saw that the tent was identical in stature on the inside, yet there was an inherently different feeling to it. Where Niklaus’s was dark, intimidating, and sparsely furnished, this one was warm and almost inviting. Candles bathed the tent in light, and the heat from the brazier enveloped her like a summer breeze. She stared at the multitude of shelves full of books, quills, ink, and extra candles. Pillows and thick, warm furs lay across chairs and chaises. One or two baskets of fruit punctuated a table here and there, but documents were scattered across any flat surface she could see.
They were yellow and curling, some maps, some letters. There was a strange chaotic order to it all. Swords and their scabbards hung from a rack, with a few axes joining the array, glinting from the sunshine pouring through the tent opening. She saw no bed but assumed that it must've been in the connecting tent. This tent was clearly lived in. This was the tent of a lord commander.
"Brother!" Katerina’s eyes fell on a man, sitting at a desk with a candle, pouring over the parchments. "I've brought you a spoil of war."
Katerina's jaw tensed as Niklaus's jovial words echoed through the canvas walls, and she saw the man stand from the desk and walk towards the pair. Without a moment to look upon the man's face, Katerina felt Niklaus's cold and unyielding hand collide with her back as he cruelly pushed her onto the ground. Aching knees colliding against hard, packed earth again, she grunted at the impact, the palm of her hands skidding across the mud.
"I've lost a moonstone, and you've gained a whore."
The young woman started at the words being exchanged, though she did not have to lift her head to know who she was kneeling in front of. The man Niklaus called brother. Elijah Mikaelson.
"I am not-!"
Her words were quickly lost as Niklaus laughed and continued.
"She seems to not be able to recall anything of the treasure, so I leave it to you to get some sense into her while I prepare for certain
arrangements. Enjoy yourself, brother. She'll warm your bed nicely."
Katerina froze. Her bones ached where they hit the ground, and she soon found herself questioning whether it was prudent for her to get up again at all. The brothers' words were soon lost to her, her own blood rushing in her ears as she felt true fear for the second time again. If Niklaus Mikaelson was said to be the Devil incarnate, Elijah Mikaelson was hell personified. As the commander of the entire army, he was the one that sanctioned all the forces' barbaric attacks, and he supposedly did it with nothing less than a nod of his head. The brothers were a terrible curse upon the empire, and they had brought that destruction to her own lands.
"You cannot keep me here!" Neither brother turned to look at her.
"I hope these arrangements will prove to be worthwhile." Elijah replied, his voice low and warm. Finally, after a pause, his eyes reached hers.
Raising her chin defiantly, she hardened her stare in response, and, after studying her for a moment, the man soon turned to look back at his blonde counterpart. Niklaus smiled sinisterly.
"They will be. So, I will leave you to it, brother. It seems like you've got your hands full."
Niklaus indicated his leaving with a nod, and let himself out of Elijah’s tent, exuding the same sadistic glee that she'd witnessed in the threshold of her home, and he was gone.
Katerina had dropped her gaze to her hands, noticing the dirt that had gotten caked underneath her fingernails. Silence filled the tent now that they were left alone, and she suddenly found herself without words for the first time in her life. After all, her words would simply not be heard. When she lifted her head again, she saw that Elijah had returned to his desk and promptly resumed working.
Another few seconds of silence passed, then she heard two quiet words.
"Come here."
Dropping her hands to her sides, she realized what sort of predicament she had found herself in. She was alone in a tent with Elijah Mikaelson.

WIP WEDNESDAY!!!
week #21
things are heating up in the amnesia au ...
Stefan doesn’t knock. He opens the door of the room that Klaus had proclaimed his without preamble. “What?” Klaus, in rumpled bedclothes, hair unruly, standing in the middle of the sitting room with a hardcover notebook, curves one eyebrow. “Good morning to you, too.” “Caroline just came out of this room,” Stefan says. Klaus inclines his head. “Well, she’s not forbidden from doing so.” Stefan just gapes at him. “Are you
” He tries hesitantly after a long pause. “Are you
back?” He knows immediately that that was the wrong thing to say. What light there was in Klaus’s eyes, what light he hadn’t even realised was there until it was gone, shutters out. “You wish, don’t you, mate?” he drawls, with an undeniable undercurrent of venom. Well, fuck. He tries to approach this rationally. “I apologise,” he says carefully. “I didn’t mean to offend. I drew a hasty conclusion.” Klaus’s eyes narrow, and Stefan curses himself all over again. He’s not dealing with Nik, a brother in all but name he’d been a hundred years ago. He’s not dealing with Klaus he’d come to know, either. If anything, he’s closest to the feral, wicked thing that he first met in Mystic Falls fourteen years ago, whose eyes gleamed with delight as Stefan forced blood bag after blood bag down his throat. “I saw Caroline and I
I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have presumed.” And maybe that feral, wicked thing had a soft spot for Stefan too, because he extends the notebook in his hands to him, wordless. Stefan’s eyebrows raise when he opens it randomly in the middle. It’s a sketchbook, and maybe he should’ve seen that coming. Caroline, dressing gown tied about her waist, reading a book. The next one, also, and the next. She’s reading, she’s laughing, she’s asleep. Some of the drawings are complete and some are barely just outlines. And in every single one that she is meeting the artist’s eye, her gaze is piercing, burning, baring the very soul. “She’s quite the model,” Klaus says quietly. It’s at the tip of Stefan’s tongue to point out that she’s had practice modelling for him. But that probably wouldn’t be received well, so he just hums. “They’re beautiful.” That’s a safe, obvious thing to say. Klaus’s work is always beautiful. “Of course they are.” There it is. Well, if he weren’t the arrogant arsehole he is, Stefan probably wouldn’t like him as much. He goes through all the drawings, one more gorgeous than the other, and lifts his head. “The actual reason I came here is because Elena and I will be leaving tomorrow, and because of everything that’s happened, you and I haven’t gotten to
you know, hang out. So, while I’m still in New Orleans
do you wanna go out?” Klaus, very dramatically, inclines his head towards the window, where rain’s pattering against the glass. Stefan grins. “What? We’re too dead to die from pneumonia.” The slight of the corner of Klaus’s lip lifting makes him more elated than he’d thought it ever would. “Well,” he drawls. “I don’t suppose I can argue against that, can I?”
