Hello! I'm interested in your klance fic recs! I'm just going to share my fav tropes/details and you can share anything that fits (or closely fits). Love me some Pining!Keith or Keith's POV in general. Anything post-canon fix-it. Lovebug or Hanahaki disease are my jams. And most importantly, I LOVE angst with a slowburn happy ending. Don't worry about word count at all. Thanks for sharing in advance!

Sorry this took me so long, you have immaculate taste in fics so it was so hard to narrow down what to send!! Almost all of these are slowburn angst and all of them have happy endings. I hope you enjoy!!

Pining Keith:

Poor boys and pilgrims by SirCumference (85,000 words, rated M) is peak pining Keith content and also incredibly well written and structured. While in the quantum abyss, Keith sees visions of himself in three alternate realities where he's falling in love with Lance. This fic has it all, a mermaid / pirate au, a cyberpunk au, a coffeeshop au, and even post canon fix it. And Keith is pining hard in all of them. Chefs kiss

Fit the crown to my head by aknightley (75,705 words, rated T) If you like aus, this is a light fantasy / Prince Keith au that I've recommended before but Keith is so down bad for stable boy Lance in this one it's almost embarrassing for him (and I love every second of it)

If you haven't read there, nestled against his pulse by hiuythn (55,081 words, rated T) you are missing out on peak klance literature. This soulmate au is almost entirely Keith's POV and he is a pining disaster in it

Tender, loving by orphan_account (17,496 words, rated M) one more quantum abyss pining Keith fic because that setup never gets old to me

And a pining Lance for funsies, because this is one of the best fics I've ever read:

My soul has your claim, my soul is in flames by queen-of-voltronian (146,137 words, rated T) takes place during season 7, Lance is pining HARD and then accidentally gets cursed and has to kiss the person he loves most before sundown. And then plot happens. They also address all the bullshit the writers did to Lance in the later half of the show. It's immaculate. I cried.

Post canon fix it:

Like a second heart by aquietdin (20,958 words, rated M) Lance wakes up in a hospital bed and learns he was injured and lost five years of memories, in which the war ended, and he married Keith. Also Allura is alive in this one 🫶🏻

Suspended momentum by astrolatte (33,154 words, rated T) years after the war ended, Shiro gets the paladins to agree to teach a semester at the Garrison and because of limited staff housing Keith and Lance have to be roommates!!! Bummer !!!!

Lovebug au:

I feel like I recommend this every time but antidote by ardenrabbit is my favorite fic of all time maybe it's a lovebug au where instead of getting lovey dovey feelings from the bite, Keith feels physical pain when he's not in physical contact with Lance. Good soup for the hurt / comfort girlies

No effect by Jilliancares (5,655 words, rated G) Keith is bitten by a lovebug but he and Lance are already secretly dating, so Keith has to pretend to be affected by the bite and Lance has to pretend to feel awkward about it lol this one is adorable

Love Bite(s) by ArchetypeOfAdespota (57,607 words, rated T) is a more traditional lovebug fic and I adore it start to finish

Hanahaki disease:

He loves me not, the flowers told me so by robylovi (2743 words, rated T)

I actually don't read a lot of hanahaki disease but one of my mutuals wrote this so I read it and absolutely adored it !!!! I've been converted haha this fic made me a hanahaki disease enjoyer 🫶🏻

read 'Silver Bells' by @heavilycaffeinatedsblog if you haven't yet. this took me way longer than it really needed to. there are references all over the place (as well as shoutouts to some of my favorite fanfics (hard to find because tumblr) and a skyrim easter egg ((i don't know why i did that last one, brain rot i guess)))

this is from chapter eighteen and maybe not super accurate to certain descriptions but was the most fun I've had drawing in a while. so thanks for that caf and keep up the good work.

THEN a lot of fluff 😁😁 also , i like a fun trope like a vampire fic or alien or IDK U DECIDE!! 😺😺. it can be a lil naughty like Mature , but tbh i just dont read a lot of smut 🙏 like i like intimate moments 😭😭 im a sap!!!!!! truly truly. i think thats everything thank u ! i hope this wasnt too long

omg you have great taste, I definitely have some recs for you!! Most of these are rated T, but the mature one I recommended has easily skippable smut and I think the author's notes tell you what to skip if you don't want to read the smut !!!

for a slowburn with great payoff, my soul has your claim, my soul is in flames by queen-of-voltronian (146,137 words, rated T) is so well written and the boys take their sweet time getting their heads out of their asses (I say this affectionately). Takes place during the season 7 road trip, Lance accidentally gets cursed and has to kiss the person he loves most or else he'll be trapped on this planet forever. And somehow he manages not to confess for like 17 chapters it's incredible

I actually don't know if I have many alien aus but I feel like you'd enjoy this modern fey au, love me twice, save me thrice by wittyy_name (157,899 words, rated M) . Lance is a high fey in the summer court and Keith is half fey, half human and was taught his whole life to avoid the fey at all costs. But Lance is like. sooo pretty it makes him a lil stupid. It's another great slow burn with an incredible plot, wittyy_name never misses

They actually have a witch / vampire au as well that I haven't read yet but I trust wittyy with my life so I feel comfortable recommending a touch of magic (31,697 words, rated T)

Some more vampire aus that I haven't read but by another author who is absolutely incredible and never misses, shatterinseconds

Sleepless city nights (6,865 words, rated T) is about vampire Keith and human Lance

Pain in the neck (6,056 words, rated T) Lance is convinced his neighbor is a vampire and is determined to prove it

Infinity in your eyes, forever on your lips (5,616 words, rated T) is a domestic slice of life fic where Keith and Lance are married vampires living in modern day

To grasp at stars (and lie the earth beneath) (15,227 words, rated T) is about two immortals, vampire Keith and witch Lance falling in love over and over again
