notes:

SOOOO being my usual self i aimed a bit too high for april.... had hoped to write 30k for camp nano and only wrote a lil more than half of that, but hey it’s still something!!

most of my focus was on doing rewrites for my ya sci-fi book which is...still going. very slowly. but going! i’m only like a third of the way through doing my total rewrite but i feel like i’m getting a bit more into the swing of it at least lol. been trying something where i write about 500 words of it a day so i’m hoping that’ll get me through about 2 or 3 more chapters this month!

i also made a little bit of progress on my adult monster romance fantasy book lol. i kinda... fell off track with that one, though. i’ve been having some trouble getting through the beginning of it and i’m not sure if i’ll have the time/motivation to delve back into it during may but, who knows! 

i....still have not finished editing ch 9 of sylvix dreamscape. and i feel awful about it lmao. i know it’s been many months at this point... buuut i am actually almost done editing it i think. perhaps i can finally finish that by the end of this month??

speaking of sylvix, i somehow neglected the pacrim au during all of april. hoping i can get back to that soon. i miss it!

i instead started a brand new fic.... a post-canon buddy daddies kazurei fic ahahaha. so uh!! i haven’t gotten very far but hope to make some more progress on it soon. hoping this one won’t be SUPER long, but... i’m me. 

AND. within the past few days i’ve suddenly been possessed to work on red skies, my very old kl space opera au lmao. except i realized 1) i’d never finished outlining it, 2) the outline i had was...a mess. so i have to go back and fix/change a lot of stuff. but, i’m hoping to finish the new outline soon and delve back into actually working on that fic. yes it’s been like four and a half years since i updated it but i miss it okay :’) 

SO yeah definitely a lot of stuff to do this month but i’m looking forward to it!!!

This was my piece for the We’ll Work On It zine ( @earlyseasonsklzine )! I’m glad I can finally share it cuz I actually liked how it turned out! And it was very nostalgic looking at screencaps to reference their paladin armor and whatnot 💙❤️

This was the last of the kl zines I joined and it felt like a fitting conclusion to my kl obsession to circle back to the beginning.

“Babe, you gotta let go of me or I can’t make your coffee.” 

“Nooo,” Keith mumbles into his shoulder. “I don’need it.”

Lance chuckles, twisting around in Keith’s arms until they’re standing chest to chest and forcing Keith to lift his head in the process. He squints against the kitchen lights and Lance smiles, hopelessly endeared. 

“I think you do,” he hums, leaning in to peck Keith’s nose. “Because I’m pretty sure Kolivan doesn’t want anyone piloting his ships when they’re half-asleep.”

“I’m a great pilot,” Keith protests.

Lance smiles again, lifting his hands up to pat Keith’s cheeks. “I know you are,” he agrees honestly, and then leans back in to kiss his pout away. 

Yeah. Lance could definitely grow to be a morning person.

Two years after the war, Team Voltron reunites on the night of Allura's coronation as queen of New Altea. But when an unexpected attack occurs, Keith and Lance are tasked with dismantling a bomb planted in the basement of the castle––and are left to face some unresolved tension in the process.

Keith is not a fan of parties.

He’s at least managed to sneak off into a shadowy alcove for now, leaning against one of the tall pillars that line the ballroom. But the excess of light, noise, and social interaction is starting to make his head feel fuzzy.

The milling throng blurs into a sea of color and noise. Aliens have gathered from far across the universe to attend Allura’s coronation as queen of New Altea. The actual ceremony will take place later this evening, but the festivities will last for several days. Apparently Alteans don’t mess around when it comes to celebrations.

Keith fiddles with the end of his tie. Although Shiro tried to show him how to tie it properly, it was a lost cause. It only makes Keith feel like he’s being strangled, and he keeps loosening it even though he knows it probably looks sloppy.

His gaze roams over the crowd in search of familiar faces. He arrived here with Shiro and Adam earlier, he held a brief friendly conversation with Hunk and Shay, and he received an enthusiastic tackle-hug from Pidge. He’s caught a few glimpses of Allura; of course, she’s been so busy conversing with all the attendees that Keith hasn’t even spoken to her yet.

But there’s one member of Team Voltron that Keith hasn’t seen yet––and the turmoil of anticipation and anxiety has his heart already climbing into his throat.
