AU of DOTC When a loner she cat runs into Bumble after Tom has been abusing her.

She takes her to River Ripples camp.

River Ripple hears how Gray Wing and Tall Shadow told her 'kittypets cant survive in the wild' nonsense and even while shes in trouble with Tom. Even Turtle Tails turned on the poor thing.

River Ripples more determined to NOT be like either Clear Sky or any mountain cat whose as cruel as that. (He had a gay crush on Gray Wing up til now)

He accepts Bumble, tends to her wounds and even tells her 'I think you're beautiful' after looking at her.

She becomes his deputy after driving One Eye onto the Thunderpath right at the exact moment an army van crushes him (takes place during WW1) all part of her stradegy.

Bumbles earned her clanmates respect and friendship.

So, with the four clans, it's essentially a sliding scale of how strictly traditional they are- Because I honestly just think it makes things more interesting, I think we should've seen more of a spectrum with that-

So it essentially goes that Thunderclan is the most traditional, and Riverclan is the least, in the order Thunder - Wind - Shadow - River

Just a note that this isn't a serious rewrite, and is just some background for my silly SpottedTiger AU that plays into the themes of the story I've got going and the adjustments I've made for it LMAO Any of this could be changed or tweaked at any time.

Here's kinda vague overviews of each:

Thunderclan: (Pre-Firestar, this is all before he's leader) Very traditional and strict to the warrior code and Starclan's word. They believe in turning away kittypets and the inherent strength of warrior blood. They have a culture focused on bravery, and while they're compassionate, that's mainly focused on their own cats and select allies. All of this can lead them to look judgy or stuck up to the other clans.

Windclan: Though Thunderclan is the most pious to Starclan, Windclan is the actual closest to them. Thunderclan is hidden under the cover of trees, giving the stars less room to look down on them, Windclan doesn't have that issue on the moor. It's full of scrawny, smaller cats, but though they're not the most intimidating, they're some of the most resiliant cats you'll meet.

Shadowclan: Shadowclan is fun, because I leaned really heavily into the secrecy aspect for them. A lot of shadowclan cats tend to be BIG. They're some of the slickest cats you'll meet, and though they tend to be large, they're stealthy, and the other clans don't tend to know too much about them. They've built up skills and strategies the other clans haven't, and are extremely picky about who finds out about them, so they're infamous for not talking at gatherings more than they need to. Cross-clan relationships involving Shadowclan cats are the least common.

Brokenstar kinda fucks this up royally when he comes in, but this is at least how they are before and a bit down the line after him.

Riverclan: Riverclan is flexible, and probably some of the nicest cats you'll meet. They're the least traditional and are more connected to the land and water than the other clans. They tend to be mellow and mindful, and don't mind taking in kittypets or loners half as much as the other clans, which unfortunately has them suffering from the lazy pushover stereotype. They're also the most lax about cross clan relationships. They absolutely do not care as long as you're careful.

All cats are in shadowclan, except for akechi. ryuji: Yellowskull -(tentative. I wanted smth with lightning but lightningskull sounds dumb and I can't name him thunderskull bc that breaks naming rules) - a determined warrior. got in a squabble with a certain deputy from windclan when he was an apprentice that left him with a permanent limp and nasty scar on his leg. originally thought he would never fight or hunt again, but the support of his classmates and some intense physical therapy along with his fiery determination has helped him improve significantly. he can patrol and can hold his own in a fight!! - was originally contender for deputy, but his injury let makoto get that promotion instead, but he's chill with that because he knows she can handle it better than he ever would.

Ann: Pantherstep - originally Pantherpelt, but took on Shiho's (Smokestep) suffix in her honor when everyone was originally unsure if she'd pull through. - Even though Shiho can't leave camp, ann brings her things from her adventures outside and helps her with her physical therapy and does everything she can to cheer her up. she even learned a couple medicine cat basics to swoop in and help if need be. - descended from a couple generations of kittypets and still gets judged for it.

Joker: Nightstar (formerly Nightmask) (yes, mask is canonically a WC suffix) - born and raised as a rogue until late into apprentice age, got found by a clan elder (sojiro) and dragged by the scruff into camp for "trespassing" even though he had no idea where he was or what he was doing, and things sort of snowballed into him going from hostage to clan member, and now he's the leader.

Yusuke: Foxfrost - originally from riverclan, trained as a medicine cat apprentice before getting caught up in his mentor's evil plot. ended up getting help from joker and grew close to him as they navigated that whole ordeal. riverclan wasn't exactly stoked to get their inner corruption discovered by an outsider, and Yusuke got some flack for asking for help from him, and the accusations just sort of piled up and joker brought a sopping wet Yusuke home with him and now he's in shadowclan. - obviously shadowclan didn't need another med cat, so he gave that up and finds satisfaction in fighting beside his clanmates.

Makoto: Maplestrike - Joker's deputy - Has seen the fate of a deputy that lacks patience and faith in her sister and refuses to make the same mistake

Futaba: Sunsplash - Shadowclan's medicine cat - "why isn't Takemi-" shut up . she was prolly her mentor idk - following in her mother's footsteps of being a med cat. has been having visions from starclan since she was very young- most of which were painful and inflicted the horrors. - joker acts more as her advisor than she does his, but he doesn't mind that. she supports the clan well and theyre close. - man she's literally an oracle what do u want me to say

Haru: Blackfern - I always feel bad having to write shit for Haru in Aus or stories and not having anything to say because she's just kinda . there. :sob: - uhhhhhhh man idk maybe her dad was from riverclan or something idfk this post has turned into an unexpected project

Akechi: Crowstripe - deputy of thunderclan, double crossing his father and leader to assist Shadowclan in an attempted mutiny. but he plans to get the last laugh - I forgot what those fucking like meetings the clans met up at every moon things are called. but anyways ever since he was an apprentice and so was joker they've tussled at those to "Train" until they became warriors. seeing joker become a leader before him has been actual hell. - killed Futaba's mom. thats also just canon thats not the au but I felt like it needed to be restated.

Cat Doki! (Pt 4 FINAL)

(Natsuki, Sayori, and Yuri for those who haven't seen them!)

Here's cat Monika! That paw took me SO long to draw I was gonna make her claws outstretched but I forgot about in the end, drawing paw undersides is a weakness :'D She's the only one two different designs, I couldn't decide which one I'd use so in the end I chose to use both, just in different au's. The Warriors!Monika still has that little curl she has at the end of her ponytail tho! It's just obscured right now. Her fur colors is also supposed to be more faded together, but for simplicity's sake, I kept them flat

She's a Somali! It's such a beautiful breed and it's temperament fits her the most (just like the breeds I chose for everyone else!) She has two names in Warriors, her original name and FoxSong!

Monika is a housecat, and one of those housecats that's not often kept indoors, that and because she always found a way to escape, much to her housefolks dismay, but she does her best to be careful anytime, she befriended some wild cats in the woods too, so if the situation calls it, they can help her since they know the forest better.

She got her first exposure to the life of these wild cats via the "WindClan" that's just close to town. It was one of her jail break days when she saw a cat, thankfully right before she got run over by a car. "CherrySilk" was her name... How fascinating! You'd normally hear that kinda name on those nice but strong smelling shampoo her housefolk uses. She happily explained to Monika why she was named that. It got confusing but she listened, first she was CherryKit, then CherryPaw, then she's CherrySilk! She can even be CherryStar if she becomes the "leader" of her clan (which she doesn't want to). That's so many Cherries.

Monika's little journey to learn about the clans jumpstarted from there, CherrySilk warned her about the territories and the patrols, and wow! Their territories get BIG, well guess it has to be with that many cats. There was RiverClan, but it's surrounded by water, she can swim but it felt risky, she went to ThunderClan next and met another friendly she-cat, LilyPool. She had beautiful claws, which she hid under her tail in fear she'd startle Monika away, so she showed off her claws which are pretty nice too in her opinion. LilyPool didn't talk much, but she seemed like curious cat by the look in her eyes, but Monika had to go home at that time since it was getting dark so she had to say goodbye.

Her next stop was ShadowClan, which she was hesitant to go to and had CherrySilk with her just in case. Surprisingly they ran across LilyPool, who was just as surprised to see them at the border. She timidly asked if she could come with them because apparently there was a kit she saw some days ago that got scared of her, and she wanted to apologize. How nice of her!

They came across the kit eventually, who turns out to be way past her kithood and is the gatherer of ShadowClan. BerryHope has quite the sass that Monika found entertaining as she scolds Lilypool for mistaking her for a kit (who is now apologizing feverishly) CherrySilk had to break them off. She also was not scared of Lilypool that day, she's huge compared to Berryhope and those claws screamed certain irreversible injury so it was the most logical thing to do.

The four of them ended up meeting up after Sun-high (hah, she's getting the hang of these clan terminologies) and Monika learned many things from LilyPool, who's apparently very chatty and knowledgable if you can figure her out. It was almost like they have their own little clan and Monika never really got this... "Clan" feeling before, a community, sure she got other housecat–or Kittypet–friends here and there, but they all keep to themselves.

She soon names herself FoxSong, because of her pelt, her rather cunning nature being able to evade the territory patrols well, and she has a good singing voice to name a few. She's not getting rid of her name Monika, Foxsong is just a little alias for her clan friends.

Curious though, CherrSilk mentions of another Kittypet, a tom who sounds familiar to Foxsong. There's vague memories of them passing by each other but they never talked–maybe because he's a more strictly indoors kept housecat. Another kittypet that has his own meddling with clan life! Who must he be...

The 3 kits were raised with help of frecklewish and were thought of as the kit of birch and had a prophecy about them causing their death

Now let's look at freckle and birche's brother..... Pinestar, father of tigerstar who had 2 littermates who died. I think tigerstar is what one of them was meant to be.

Now I suggest an au where patch and larch die as kits in tragedies and appledusk turns himself in and deals with the punishment and this enrages mapleshade. She instills hate of half clan cats in petal and she becomes tigerstar

Pine actually leaves to be a kittypet before tigerstar becomes a thing and frecklewish becomes frecklestar

She loses her first life to petalclaw who lures her and blinds her like in mv and kills apple in battle. Petal is exiled and goes to shadowclan.

What about firestar? For that we need to turn to windclan, Jake decides to join tall. Nutmeg's litter still exists but quince's litter? Jake finds three kits and decides to adopt them. At a gathering frecklewish, jake (named shortheart) and reedshine click together and become friends. One day at a gathering shadowclan is lead by a familiar cat, petalstar. Goosefeather and Frecklestar at huge alert as shadow and riverclan merge, reedshine begging to join with crookedkit and oakkit. Frecklestar agrees under the condition of crookedkit's name being changed to stormkit again. Smallheart comes to them asking for them to temporarily merge and they agree.

WC Skyfall AU Timeline: From The Skyfall to The Light in the Mist

This is a draft timeline for the Skyfall AU outline. All dates are approximate and subject to change.

Winter 1920 - Skyclan is exiled from the forest after human settlement drives them from their home territory. The remaining clans refuse to aid the homeless clan and Skyclan leaves the forest. Only Birdflight, the mate of Cloudstar of Skyclan, and their kittens remain behind. Skyclan vows to never turn to Starclan again, causing the formation of the Skypaws, which becomes Skyclan's ancestral skies.

Spring 1921 - Skyclan arrives at the gorge. Cloudstar dies soon after, the stress of the events in the forest and the subsequent journey catching up to him. Buzzardstar is named leader.

1938-1940 - The Thunderclan Civil War fought between the Cloudstar and Redstar's descendants within Thunderclan. The result is the death of many warriors and the Thunderclan leader (and Cloudstar descendant), Yarrowstar, and the formation of the Skybloods as a group within Thunderclan.

Summer 1950 - Amberstar of Thunderclan becomes the first true Skyblood leader of Thunderclan. Her descendants (Birdstar, Oakstar, Pinestar, Tigerstar of Shadowclan, and Bramblestar) would lead Thunderclan for the majority of the next several decades.

1958 - Birdstar of Thunderclan and Frondstar of Shadowclan begin leading raids into the town, kidnapping kits in the process. These raids would continue through the reigns of the leaders' successors Oakstar and Houndstar.

1975 - Mapleshade's Vengeance takes place. Darkstar of Riverclan, upset at Oakstar for damning the kittens along with the mother, adds a law to the warrior code: Kittens are to be protected, regardless of their origins or the actions of their kin.

"Mapleshade may have been the one to bring those kittens to the river, but they would not have been there had it not been for your rashness, Oakstar. Kittens are not to be blamed for the actions of their kin."

1984 - Pinestar's Choice begins

1985 - Doestar of Thunderclan ends the raids on the town and establishes friendly, although fragile, relations with the cats of the town.

1986 - Goosefeather's Curse begins [this may be scrapped-- I am not a big fan of this novella or it's implications for future events]

1989 - Yellowfang's Secret and Tallstar's Revenge begin

1991 - Pinestar becomes leader of Thunderclan

1994 - Bluestar's Prophecy and Crookedstar's Promise begin

1996 - Pinestar leaves Thunderclan to become a house-cat, abandoning his family in the process. Leopardfoot, his ex-mate, suggests a new law for the code in her anger: A noble warrior rejects the life of a house-cat and will lay down their life in service of their clan

1997 - Tallstar becomes leader of Windclan and Leopardstar's Honor begins.

Winter 1998 - Blueflame [Bluefur/Bluestar] gives birth to Mistykit, Stonekit, and Mosskit in Thunderclan. Mistykit and Stonekit are given to their father, Oakheart of Riverclan, while Mosskit passes away on the trip to the river. Blueflame is named deputy of Thunderclan.

2000 - Redtail's Debt and Spottedleaf's Heart begin. Crookedstar becomes leader of Riverclan.

2001 - Bluestar becomes leader of Thunderclan.

Spring 2003 - Rusty the Kittypet joins Thunderclan as Firepaw. Windclan is driven from the forest by Brokenstar.

Summer 2003 - Brokenstar is driven out of Shadowclan.

Early Fall 2003 - Fireheart and Graystripe help bring Windclan home after they are driven out by Brokenstar.

2005 - Tigerclaw is exiled from Thunderclan. Fireheart is named deputy of Thunderclan.

2006 - Firestar becomes leader of Thunderclan. The Darkest Hour takes place.

2007 - Firestar's Quest takes place. Skyclan is re-established in the gorge, albeit with very different structure from the Forest Four due to a prolonged time apart. Leafstar is made leader of the newly refounded clan, with Sharpclaw as her deputy and Echosong as her cleric.

2008 - The New Prophecy begins

2009 - the clans arrive at The Lake. Leafpool discovers the Moonpool

2009 - Windclan Civil War takes place after Tallstar's death. Peatstar [Onestar] is named leader of Windclan.

2010 - Leopardstar passes away and Mistystar becomes leader of Riverclan.

2011 - The Three are born to Leafpool of Thunderclan. Her sister, Squirrelflight, adopts the kittens and presents them to the clan as her own. In reality, Lionkit is the son of Leafpool and Mothwing of Riverclan while Jaykit and Hollykit are the kits of Leafpool and Crowfeather of Windclan.

2013 - The Battle of the Eclipse takes place.

Spring 2014 - Hollyleaf reveals the truth of the Three's parentage at a gathering and murders Ashfur before fleeing into the tunnels.

Summer 2014 - The Fourth Apprentice takes place.

Summer 2016 - The Battle of the Dark Forest takes place. Blackstar of Shadowclan dies in the battle and Tawnystar becomes leader of Shadowclan. Firestar of Thunderclan also dies in the battle and Bramblestar becomes leader of Thunderclan.

2018 - The Apprentice's Quest takes place

2019 - Darktail and The Kin arrive at the Lake

Fall 2019 - Tawnystar is killed attempting to drive Darktail away from the lake. Shadowclan is temporarily leaderless.

2020 - Darktail is killed by his estranged father, Peatstar. Harestar becomes leader of Windclan and Goldenstar becomes leader of Shadowclan.

2021 - Lost Stars takes place.

2022 - Ashfur is defeated. A shaken Bramblestar steps down from leadership and Squirrelstar becomes leader of Thunderclan.

The prequels have been shuffled around a little bit in order to better match the cats ages in TPB

Leader deaths have been moved around a lot on the timeline. Some leaders live wayyyyyy too long

I added a large time period between Cloudstar's Journey and Mapleshade's Vengeance. The clans need time to forget that Skyclan existed.

Please let me know if I have made any glaring mistakes in terms of seasons -- I haven't re-read any books recently other than The Prophecies Begin, which I read a few weeks ago. I am mostly relying on my memory of the books, knowledge gained from tumblr, and the wiki.

I likely won't do a ton of work on anything past OotS, since that is the last arc I fully read when I was reading the books as a teenager.

Longstar AU — Chapter Eleven

It was one night from the battle with BloodClan, the kits had been trained to fight as much as possible, as well as Cinderpath. Their hope was that BloodClan wouldn’t breach their camp with kits and elders inside, but they had no reason to believe they wouldn’t.

   He was terrified.

   What if he died? What if kits and elders were hurt in this battle, Cinderpath, Swiftflame..

   Could they really take that chance?

   He was snapped out of his thoughts as Blizzardspots approached him, a soft expression across her face. She didn’t look happy, but she didn’t look upset, either.

   “Hey,” She mewed gently. “Firestar asked me to do a little hunting for the elders and kits.. did you want to come with?” A glint of fear sparkled in her yellow eyes. She didn’t want to go out alone.

   “Sure,” Longtail rose to his paws. He followed the white bouncy she-cat out of the camp, the sun bouncing off her white fur beautifully. Maybe.. this was his chance to tell her what exactly was on his mind. “Hey, uh.. Blizzardspots?”

   The she-cat popped out of the tall grass, gazing at him with a puzzled expression, “What’s up?”

   “I.. uh..” The words were on the tip of his tongue, but as his ears flattened, he recoiled. “Nevermind. It’s nothing.” He turned away with a flick of his tail, padding farther into the forest. 

   He approached a squirrel, digging around in the dirt. He dropped into a hunters crouch, slowly creeping toward the creature. He soon leapt at the squirrel, digging his sharp claws into its sides.

   “Nice!” Blizzardspots smiled, holding a small gray mouse in her jaws, “Did you want to talk to me about something? Like, seriously, you can. Anything, Longtail, your my friend.”

   “No, it’s okay,” He said through gritted teeth. “Let’s get a bit more prey and take this to the elders and queens.”

   Longtail nestled into his mossy nest, his long tail curled over his muzzle. He closed his eyes in the dim light, though he felt a pelt brush against his.

   It was already late into the night, though they were just getting to sleep, himself and Blizzardspots. They'd stayed out hunting most of the day, collecting what prey they could.

   Blizzardspots slid into her nest, curling up into a tight ball. She looked to be shaking a little bit, and it wasn’t from the night cold.

   “Blizzardspots?” Longtail said in a low voice, doing his best not to wake the other warriors around them. “Is everything okay?..”

   “N-no,” The she-cat quivered. “I’m so, so scared. W-what if.. what if you die tomorrow? I don’t know what I’d do around here without you.. and, w-what if I die, Longtail? What happens to me? Would StarClan accept me?..”

   He paused, “Of course they would,” He scooted a bit closer to the she-cat, resting his paw atop of hers. “You're a warrior of ThunderClan no matter where you came from. Look at Firestar, he was once a kittypet, now he’s been accepted as a leader by StarClan. And if I die.. I’d be waiting for you in StarClan.”

   “Y-you would?” Blizzardspots sniffled, brushing her falling tears away with a paw.

   “I would,” A soft smile crossed his face.

   “Thank you, Longtail.” Blizzardspots gave a gentle smile, curling back up in her nest. He did the same, falling into a deep sleep.

   “ThunderClan,” Firestar's voice echoed through the camp. “Today is the day we take on BloodClan. RiverClan and ShadowClan have agreed to fight alongside us, as well as WindClan. No matter what happens today, we will forever be cats protected by StarClan. We fight as one, and we fight with the power of StarClan beside us.” He gazed down at his clanmates with determination in his green eyes.

   Longtail knew all that was true. And he would fight for his clan til the very end. A loyalty unwavering.

   Firestar leapt down from the High Rock, padding out of the camp with his clan behind him. Darkears and Mousefur padded on his sides, as well as Blizzardspots and Runningwind. The group rushed after the rest of the clan.

   Longtail narrowed his eyes as fourtrees came into view, the other clans, along with BloodClan settled inside. The clan cats and BloodClan cats alike bared their teeth and showed their claws, ready to fight for their home.

   “Last chance to back out,” Scourge growled.

   “Never,” Firestar growled back, launching himself at the small tom. The rest of LionClan followed after his lead, taking on one or two BloodClan cats at a time.

   Longtail hurled himself at a brown tabby she-cat, her pelt already torn up with scars. He barreled her over, digging his claws into her sides. Though, she wasn’t helpless, kicking him off with her hind legs, dragging those claws down his stomach.

   He slashed his claws at the she-cats muzzle, blood dripping down her muzzle. She flattened her ears, scampering out of the hollow. He turned his attention on a black and white tom, looking similar to that of the deputy, Bone. Longtail almost jumped at him, but saw that Bone had Firestar pinned to the ground. His eyes narrowed once more, leaping at the BloodClan deputy and knocking him off the ThunderClan leader.

   “Thank you,” Firestar murmured, out of breath from fighting. All Longtail gave was a simple nod, engaging back in battle with another BloodClan tom.

   “Firestar!” Graystripe yowled, rushing toward his mate. Soon enough Sandstorm joined him, her ears flattened tight to her skull.

   Longtail rose to his paws, gazing at the ThunderClan leader. He’s a leader, Longtail thought, though his ears flattened. But.. last time Scourge killed someone.. He thought back to Tigerstar, who had lost all nine lives at once from the BloodClan leader.

   But he was soon proven wrong, Firestar rising to his paws.

   “What..? But, how—I-I killed you!” Scourge stumbled backwards, “You should be dead!”

   “I am a leader blessed by StarClan,” Firestar hissed, eyes narrowed to slits. “And therefore I am given nine lives. That is where you are weak,” He growled. “But I understand where you're coming from, Scourge.”

   “What?” Graystripe hissed, “He tried to take the forest, Firestar!”

   “I understand that,” Firestar glanced around at the BloodClan cats in the hollow. “But they are cats, just like us. And Scourge is their leader. He was only looking out for their well-being, much like us with our cats,” He flicked his tail. “I'd like to offer you a place in ThunderClan, for your cats, if you'd take it.”

   “.. I—“ Scourge stammered, staring at his paws, “That would nice, Firestar.” He whispered, looking back up at the ThunderClan leader.

   “I’m not joining some mouse-hearted clan,” A black and white spotted tom growled, earning a nod from another tom that looked similar. “I'll take over BloodClan to replace our mouse-hearted leader.” He hissed, earning approval from plenty of other cats. The cats who wanted to leave followed these two cats, padding back to twoleg place.

   “I'll come,” The black and white tom they'd come to know as Bone padded up behind Scourge, nuzzling the tom.

   “Me as well,” A black tabby tom padded up behind them. “I’m Midnight, by the way.” He flicked his tail in greeting.

   “Than come along,” Firestar dipped his head. “We have warrior ceremonies to conduct. And.. I must name a new deputy,” He took a deep breath. “Come.”

   They all trotted back to camp, the three new cats settling beneath the High Rock.

   “These cats are joining our clan not as outsiders, or enemies, but as new friends and clanmates.” He smiled down at the three tom's, “From now on, Scourge you will be known as Tinyfrost.” He mewed, “And Bone as Bonespot. Midnight will be known as Blacksight. We welcome them as warriors of ThunderClan.”

   “Tinyfrost! Bonespot! Blacksight!”

   “And one more thing,” Firestar continued, silencing the crowd. “Whitestorm has passed to StarClan.” He mewed solemnly, hanging his head. “So I must name a new deputy. And I could think of no better cat, one of my strongest and most trusted warriors.”

   Graystripe, probably. They’ve been best friends since they were apprentices, Longtail thought with a flick of his tail.

   “Longtail,” Firestar called his name, beckoning him forward. His green eyes stretched wide, padding forward into the clearing. “We have had our ups and downs. When I first joined the clan you had opposed so, though, you have learned to trust me as a warrior and a leader. And I have learned to trust you, as well.” He smiled, “Under the eyes of StarClan, do you accept this position as deputy, and protect and defend your clan with your life?”

   “I would be honored to, Firestar.”

   “Than under the watchful eyes of StarClan I name Longtail as the new deputy of ThunderClan.” Firestar meowed.

   “Longtail! Longtail!” The clan cheered his name loud as can be. Finally, he felt he was a trusted and respected warrior, and like he was part of his clan once more.

Longstar AU — Chapter Twenty

   “You have bees in your brain, Firestar!” Leopardstar growled, “And so do your warriors. I knew that ThunderClan warriors were always bee brained,” She gazed at Stormfur, nestled in between Graystripe and Brambleclaw. “And now my own warriors seem to be catching it.”

   “Don’t say mouse-dung about my son!” Graystripe growled.

   “Graystripe.” Firestar hissed, narrowing his eyes. “I understand your anger. Trust me, I feel the same,” He cast a glare at Leopardstar. “You're saying you don’t believe this message from StarClan because it goes against what'd you'd like to hear? Sounds as if you're the one with bees in your brain.”

   “There is no reason for RiverClan to leave the forest.” Leopardstar narrowed her eyes. “I have no qualms with the rest of you leaving. RiverClan has the river—we have our fish, we have our protection. We'll be fine here.”

   “If that’s what you wish, Leopardstar.” Deadstar dipped his head, flicking his tail. “It’s not safe for the rest of us. ThunderClan's camp has been destroyed. They're having to stay in our camp.. and who knows how long that will be safe for. ShadowClan has already spotted them in their territory, mowing down trees. And if you think that RiverClan will fare fine.. than okay. Stay. But we'll be leaving for our families and friends safeties.”

   “Than go.” She growled, “Now, is that all? Can we leave and go home to rest, you three?”

   “Yes.” Blackstar grumbled, “You can go, Leopardstar.” 

   And with those last few words, the spotted leader jumped from the rock, leading her clan out of the hollow.

   “So,” Firestar flicked his tail. “When will we be leaving?”

   “Two nights from now.” Deadstar meowed, “If that’s okay with ThunderClan and ShadowClan.”

   “Perfectly fine, I suppose.” Blackstar replied.

   “Yes, great.” Firestar smiled, “ThunderClan.” The tom rose his voice to the rest of his clan, leaping off the rock. Deadstar followed quickly behind, Longtail padding after the pair beside Mudclaw.

   “So you have kits, hm?” Mudclaw glanced at him, “I’ve seen them running around camp.”

   “Yeah. Why?” Longtail flattened his ears, “Don’t go anywhere near them—“

   “Do you think I would hurt kits, Longtail? You think that highly of me, huh?” Mudclaw rolled his eyes, “I wouldn’t hurt them. Or your mate, for that matter. I was only asking me.”

   “I don’t think very highly of you, you're correct.” Longtail hissed, “You have a disdain for kittypets, or anyone who is simply different. I did once, but I’ve gotten over that and grown up. You can’t seem to, can you?”

   “Mm.” Mudclaw flattened his ears, narrowing his eyes, “I'd keep your ears pricked, Longtail.” He growled, striding away. Longtail sighed, skipping over to his mate.

   “Oh, hi.” Blizzardspots smiled, pressing against his side, “Everything okay?” She mewed softly, a gentle purr rumbling from her chest.

   “Yes.” He cast a glare at Mudclaw across the way, “Mudclaw is just ticking me off. How Deadstar could pick him as deputy confuses me.”

   “Oh,” Blizzardspots shrugged. “He’s been nothing but sweet to me and the kits. And he’s a great warrior ready to protect his clan at any turn,” She took a deep breath. “I don’t see the problem.”

   “We’ve always had issues, ever since we were apprentices.” Longtail meowed, “I didn’t like the way he treated a lot of my friends at the time, and me, honestly. All his bullying pushed me toward Tigerstar. One of the worst decisions of my life.”

   “Don’t let that get to you, Longtail,” Blizzardspots mewed, pressing her head against his shoulder. “No matter what happened with Tigerstar.. your a good cat now. Your the cat I love.” She purred, “Now, c'mon, the kits are going to want to see you.”

   “Papa!” Sandkit rushed up to him, brushing against his legs. Her tail was beating against his paws, “Can you believe we’re gonna be apprentices tomorrow?!”

   “I really can’t.” Longtail purred, rasping his tongue over her head. “You're going to be one of the best apprentices I’ve ever seen.”

   Her tail thrashed back and forth, “Really?” 

   “Really. And your brothers, too.” Longtail dragged his paw over his ear.

   “Sandkit!” Silverkit rushed up to his sister, “C'mon, Dustkit and I are gonna play mossball!” His tail thrashed back and forth.

   “Go on.” Longtail gently nudged the she-cat toward her brother.

   “You'll visit us before bed, right?” Sandkit questioned.

   “Like always,” Longtail flicked his tail. Sandkit smiled, brushing up against his legs before pelting off after her brother. His ears flattened, watching as the three kits tenderly played mossball. He really didn’t know if he was ready for them to grow up.

   “They're sweet, y'know,” Deadstar's tail flicked across his back. “Just like their wonderful mother. And they'll make great warriors, just like their father.”

   “I know, I just..” Longtail murmured.

   “You're worried about Dustkit, I get it.” Deadstar sighed, “He’s blind. He has a disability. But that doesn’t matter. I have one, as well, so do you—so does Cinderpath, so does Brightheart, so does Swiftflame. We are all still strong. We are all still warriors at heart.” He meowed, resting his tail comfortingly on Longtail's shoulder, “You have no need to worry about him. Or any of them.”

   “In my head I know that. And I’m really, really not—I just—don’t want any of them to get hurt. They're my kits, they're my kin.” Longtail sighed heavily.

   “Every father wants their kits to be safe. Every cat wants their kin to be safe. But they must fall down to learn. They must fall down to become warriors—because they must learn to get back up. They're get hurt, they'll—they'll leave—but they'll always come back to where they call home. They'll always get back up.” Deadstar took in a sharp breath, “I'll leave you be. Make sure you rest, Longtail. You need to calm your mind. See our medicine cat if you need.” He flicked his tail again, slipping off to his den.

   Longtail let out a heavy sigh, padding off toward the nursery, his slow tired paws carrying him there. He peeked inside, Blizzardspots lying with Sandkit and Silverkit nestled in the crook of her stomach. Though, there was Dustkit, sitting up straight, his blind blue eyes wide.

   “Papa?” Dustkit slowly trotted toward him, “Is that you?”

   “It’s me, Dustkit.” Longtail murmured softly. “Why aren’t you asleep?”

   “I’m worried, papa,” Dustkit coiled his tail around his paws. “I’m not going to be a normal apprentice like my siblings, a-are I?”

   “Of course you are.” Longtail flattened his ears, gazing at the kit with sadness in his green eyes. “Why wouldn’t you be?”

   “Because I’m blind.” Dustkit mumbled, “They're all going to coddle me like I’m a kit still, even when I’m a warrior. Or a medicine cat, that might be better—“

   “No.” Longtail hissed, “If you want to be a medicine cat, Dustkit, than you'll be a medicine cat. But if you want to be a warrior, you're going to be a warrior. No-one is going to stop you. I'll make sure if it.”

   “A-are you sure?“ Dustkit stammered, “How can you know I’ll even be any good at it?”

   “It’s in your blood, Dustkit,” Longtail leaned down to nuzzle his son. “Now, come on, let’s get you to bed. It’s late and you have an apprentice ceremony to get to tomorrow.”

   Longtail settled down in the empty nest across from Blizzardspots, patting the ground with his paw, signaling for Dustkit to follow. With a gentle purr, the brown tom trotted over, curling himself up in between Longtail's paws.

taako turns into a cat sometimes, kravitz is very affectionate about it but also Taako He Swears To God (i actually made a post about this a million years ago, where sometimes taako just. polymorphs into a cat and flops in kravitz's lap when he needs a bit of physical reassurance but can't quite articulate it...mmm)

taako is also a fucking menace and the more recently he's been a cat the more likely he is to fully give into the impulse, already barely restrained, of just knocking glasses off of tables, biting people, taking shiny things and keeping them forever, and so on

he especially likes to climb on kravitz's shoulders in cat form and rub against kravs stubble <3

Ooo and for another xenofiction au, the iconic Warrior cats (I have so much for this and yet I’m still working on the allegiances)

Gonna put a read more though because it’s a lot but I’m in a mood.

Tartaglia would be Foxtorrent and a warrior and potential candidate for deputy depending on the leader of Riverclan I decide. Fox prefix because in my design of him that rotates in my head he resembles a fox and then torrent because in my planned au it starts after Riverclan experienced a massive flooding curtesy of a storm and some event that happened during it earned him the suffix Torrent.

Arlecchino would be Crimsonmoon (because I’m not subtle and idc about how technically warriors weren’t supposed to have moon in their names, the books retconned it the second Moonflower existed and they continue too with Moonpaw) and i think she’d be a kittypet turned warrior of Shadowclan. I considered Permnant Queen (King, den dad arlecchino) for a second but then thought I think it would be better to r suited if she was more of a good choice for mentorship, so more like a popular choice for giving apprentices too. (Oh and her kittypet name was probably something like Ember)

(She’s also a chimera and this has nothing to do with the current canon Moonpaw, don’t talk to me about real warrior cats idc)

Lyney and Lynette are former Kitten class pedigree Siamese cats (this is a class for cat shows where they show pedigree kittens). So you could imagine the hysteria when they ran away a couple months before they could be entered into the Championship class. Anyways Lyney is a warrior of Thunderclan and his warrior name is Brightspectacle. (His kittypet name was Spectacle and he wanted to keep it) Lynette is Elegantshadow and she’s a warrior of WindClan, and her name situation is the same as Lyney’s. The clans adapted they’re pretty lax in this au its fine.

(The naming system works differently in my au so basically you can get a name added before your given name or after your given name because that’s most convenient for me. Lyney and Lynette were both Spectaclepaw and Elegantpaw and then Spectaclepaw became Brightspectacle because he brought so much energy into whatever den he stepped into and Elegantpaw got shadow tacked on because her stealth is unmatched)

And before I get into why they’re in seperate clans ima talk about Freminet.

Freminet is a young warrior of Riverclan and his name is Deepgaze. He was a loner’s kitten left in Shadowclan at the mercy of Orchidstep (Crucabena) the only queen at the time who was just finally able to stop acting like she cared about her own kit, Bunnypaw, and the kittypet trash she had to nurse, Moonpaw because they were about to become warriors and she wouldn’t have to bother anymore. So, Deepkit was a little neglected but after Orchidstep’s disappearance and right before his apprenticeship he found a figure to look up to in Crimsonmoon. 🙂‍↕️

NOW, the three are all in seperate clans without Crimsonmoon because I felt like it. Heh, that’s the truth but I needed like a real reason so I decided on this. She took care of all of them but Shadowclan is a big clan and the clans didn’t like how many cats Shadowclan kept receiving and since Deepgaze, Elegantshadow, and Brightspectacle were the youngest warriors Ravenstar (Ei) pawned them off.

I think that’s everyone I care about yeah, might draw them, that would be cute 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️.

I'm gonna drop this here bc I made it forever ago, and I want to either be held accountable to actually finish some part of it, or at least share my chaotic thoughts about it from forever ago

Tigerpaw is Bluefur's apprentice

Scourge joins the clan when Bluefur invites him after their encounter in the forest

Bluefur has her kits, but they leave. She understands Mosskit’s too weak, and so she leaves him in the den and takes the others to Riverclan. Mosskit grows up to be Mossleaf. They become an amazing warrior, but do turn evil and soon plan to take over the clan, believing their mother is too kind. So they act nice and all, but secretly plant ideas and bad thoughts into Bluestar’s mind, to try and make them her deputy. They kill Redtail the day Firepaw joins the clan, and after being told of the prophecy since they’re close to Spottedleaf, they push thoughts that maybe the prophecy meant something bad about the fire. As more disasters arise, Bluestar does begin to believe that maybe Mossleaf was right, but it was her decision to bring Firepaw into the clan, she doesn’t wanna go back on her words this late into it. What really pushes her over the edge, however, was when the apprentice tried to bring the ideas that Mossleaf was evil onto her. She denies everything, and sends him out, making sure he doesn’t try to say something like that again. At this point, she does make Mossleaf her apprentice, but rumors do spread that she only chose Mossleaf because she’s their mother. However, this only drives her to become more and more upset.

Led by Mossleaf, a battle takes place at sunningrocks, both Mossleaf and now-Fireheart are at the fight. Mossleaf sadly dies, but the issue is no one saw it happen, and Fireheart was the one dragging the body away. Bluestar believes that because of this that Fireheart killed Mossleaf and subsequently with past events and what Mossleaf made her believe, that Fireheart was really the evil cat. As the ultimate punishment for the harm Starclan brought for letting in a kittypet and in a fit of rage, she killed Fireheart and began to rule over Thunderclan with an iron fist, acting brash and harsh against all the other clans. No-nonsense, no deals, nothing. Since Brokenstar died at birth, it is Hopestar that is now leading the clan after the death of his father. He speaks of how resources are running low at the gathering, and tries to make amends with Bluestar who only faces him coldly, saying, to the disbelief of many, that if she so much as catches a whiff of Shadowclan on her territory, it will mean war. Same goes for Riverclan, as she will make sure Thunderclan owns the Sunningrocks.

Scourge(now known as Smallstrike) tries to stand up against her, but doesn’t succeed well, as she was his mentor and the cats do need to follow their leader. She sets Sandstorm as her deputy, and Sandstorm is brash against what Bluestar believes, but follows suit while secretly plotting against her.

New main group in this au: Sandstorm, Smallstrike, and Ravenpaw(given the name of Ravenwing)

I want you to know I have been sitting here all morning trying to comprehend this brilliance. Your brain? Enormous. The rock and pebbles coincidence is so funny, but I never realized how well it fits.

Yes, I think Rock used to have fur but with age, and probably lack of nutrients, all his fur fell off. That's a pretty smart alternative to the rot (i coud also see the rot as just being haunted by the dead cats, similar to what happened to Goosefeather actually, but maybe that would be more suited for Sliver of Straw). THE TUNNELS!!! I really wish it had more of a presence in the canon books especially since Windclan used to specialize in digging and using them. I don't really remember why they stopped (probably because it was dangerous) but as far as I remember it's not part of Windclan's culture anymore, and was only mentioned in Tallstar's super edition. (Windclan should have been the ones to find out about the ancient traditions surrounding Rock and Fallen Leaves, would've made more sense considering their tunnel running past but alas Thunderclan is more important >:(() Moon as something like Midnight!!! Your brain is actually huge. (I actually forgot she existed).

I can only offer that the other iterators could be mountain cats, I always felt they were in a similar situation as Rock. Maybe it was just the context of the prophecy or the forest cat's biases but they seemed very lifeless and just drifting along. Their version of Starclan basically just telling them to wait, that the solution would come one day and they said "ok". Which is very much like the iterators situations.

Pebbles and Jayfeather, omg. That actually fits so well too. I support Pebbles as a medicine cat. Shared bitterness in Starclan?? It makes sense in my head. Riverclan getting the short end of the stick, having no prophecy cat. Sounds about right. SUNS AS SHADOWCLAN MEDICINE CAT!!!! love that. Nsh as a windclan cat,, I really enjoy that for him. I hc windclan for Nsh because of the associated freedom there I think. I think he would enjoy running around, cloud watching and stargazing.

ARTIFACER AS MAPLESHADE. I was flabbergasted. I'm a fake warriors fan. I'm so obsessed with this you have no idea. Her pups dying, the insane thirst for revenge. Have I even read the books, why has this never occurred to me. Might make sense in this au for her to be kittypet with half clan kits who was rejected and subsequently died, which led her to blame all the clans, and seek their total destruction (like she did with the scavengers). Or she could still be a clan cat who was kicked out and then turned away by all the other clans for similar reasons. (maybe her kits died within the clan for one reason or another, perhaps there was a prophecy stating she would be the downfall of the clans and they took her kits for that reason/self fulfilling prophecy)

Weird Dark Mirror au ask: would Bluestar have any standing to steal Fire and siblings if they were biologically Tallstar's kits, and born in Windclan?

No, clan cats can do whatever to outsiders, but generally aren't allowed to commit war crimes to the other clans.

I actually imagine that in dark!mirror, Mapleshade's story is what brings about the "kits belong in their mother's clan" thing that Leopardstar brings up. She gets exiled, but Thunderclan and Riverclan war over the kits until the kits end up drowning during one of these altercations. A number of warriors also die in the fights and ultimately nothing is gained so they make sure that doesn't happen again.

Also Brokenstar turning from stealing rogue and kittypet kits to stealing clan kits is what gets the other clans to finally do something about him. His other crimes were generally ignored in a "not my clan not my problem" sort of way.

Blue stealing Tall's bio kits would have no standing iunder the code and would lessen her standing in her own clan. Great for Tigerclaw, not great for her.

The death of the clan killer, Ghost, should have signaled an era of peace between the clans. However, the murders continue and relations between clans strain. The last thing anyone wants to do is trust those outside their clan, but when five cats receive a mysterious prophecy and awake in a Twoleg city far from home, their only hope of surviving rests in their ability to put their differences aside and work as one.

WHOA! I almost forgot about the Fatal Five Kitties! Mallick, Brit, Ashley, Charles, and Luba have joined the SAW Warriors AU and they're on a mission!

Marshwing (Mallick): a flighty Riverclan tom with a bad habit of overgrooming himself when worried. His father was deputy before dying in battle, leaving Marshwing to struggle under the weight of his legacy. At one point, he met a loner named Brick who let Marshwing help out raiding kittypet homes for food and treats. Feeling like a waste of a warrior, Marshwing wonders if he'll be happier as a kittypet. During the journey of the five, he finally starts to feel useful as he shares his swimming skills and knowledge of kittypet homes with the others.

Owlshade (Brit): a quiet and analytical Thunderclan she-cat who seems to blend into the shadows. Distrustful of others, she reveals very little about herself or her clan, but she does carefully observe the others and attempts to put together why they were all chosen for this trial.

Meadowblaze (Ashley): a reserved but smart Windclan she-cat and Ridgepaw's (Brent) mentor. Her leader, Broadstar (Halloran), is an ambitious leader with hopes of expanding Windclan's territory by allying with dangerous rouges and loners and disregarding the warrior code. While many attempt to win Broadstar's favor and embrace a new life of cruelty, Meadowblaze tries to uphold Windclan's fair and noble philosophy and raise her apprentice to be someone who is respected, not feared.

Breezewhisker (Charles): a cool and collected Windclan tom. Immediately takes on a leadership position within the group and appears to know more about the other cats than he should. Turns out he had been spying on the other clans at his leader's orders in hopes of being chosen as the new deputy once the old one dies. Although his logic and brute strength are valuable, he lacks self-awareness and empathy for others.

Deerheart (Luba): an ambitious and conflicted Shadowclan she-cat. She's slow to trust the group but still shows a great deal of care for them. During the journey, she starts to question if her home clan's philosophy of self-preservation can't be changed to benefit a greater goal of allowing all clans to thrive. She's no medicine cat, but when the others are hurt, her empathy drives her into action. She finds that she quite likes healing others instead of hurting.
