Oh! Now this I would love to know. I'm quite tall, so perhaps an Oriental Shorthair? But considering how long my hair is, maybe something that's still large but long furred. Mayhaps a Ragdoll or a Norwegian Forest Cat?

If you were wondering, Crumbles is a moggy most likely between a Persian, Maine Coon, and probably some kind of Calico, most likely more.

😺 An animal related headcanon

bringing back the aku siblings having a kitten for this one bcs it's something that can be so important to me, and whenever tachihara babysits her there's a lot of silly videos. gin also makes these, but tachi's specifically usually have the kitten doing mockup workout or in those little cars for toddlers in which they can move around like they're driving and such.

💤 A headcanon about their sleep

it takes a ton of time till atsushi lets go of the orphanage's schedule for sleeping/waking up aka: fucking early. which means being painfully awake at an ungodly hour at sleepovers/when he stays over with akutgawa. with time, even if he cannot bring himself to go back to sleep a lil more, he at least allows himself to just stay in bed doing nothing for quite some time.

This laughably simple-sounding instruction is misleading. >:(

Despite having successfully done this once before, today I stabbed Tico's ear with a lancet several times this afternoon and never managed to draw the desired droplet of blood for a glucose test. 😭😭😭 I thought I was doing the same stuff as last time, and I watched more instructional videos and rubbed his ears a lot first and used petroleum jelly. But for some reason this time I couldn't get blood.

He continues to be surprisingly tolerant as long as I let him sit in his favorite spot on the sofa and don't try to move him. But he was Not Thrilled after a bunch of pokes, and he had to be given lots of salmon treats and brushing to make up for it. He had completely forgiven me by tonight, though, and I gave him insulin just now without him even seeming to notice. It is still not fun for me, but so much easier than the ear stab. (Which I'll have to try again tomorrow, sigh.)

I also briefly picked him up off my lap and held him in my arms yesterday and today, and he purred and stayed relaxed for several seconds before wriggling free. This is a big step; until recently, picking him up led to immediate thrashing and panicked clawing. But we've been working on it a lot, along with more attempts at towel wrapping him. Someday maybe I'll be able to pick up and carry all my cats -- and even set them down in a carrier -- without wild panic and grievous injuries ensuing.
