#would rather not have been proved right ugh#when this all started in earnest I was like ''hm I think the shower needs to be redone/remodeled''#whole back and forth with the landlord to convince him there was a problem at all and that we weren't just bad at taking showers????#my guy it is dripping. through the kitchen ceiling.#trying to seal a little crack. new shower curtain just in case.#plumber coming to tell us if it is a pipes thing we might have to go investigate up through the ceiling but it probably isn't a pipes thing#a couple floor tiles were loose so landlord said ugh fine I guess get the floor tiles resealed that will probably fix things#friends it did not#and I knew it wouldn't. on account of I KNEW where the water was coming through#ANYWAY finally had some plumber guys come look at it again bc the landlord finally decided it was a real problem#and they said oh yeah sorry we can't do anything about this the entire shower need to be remodeled#!!! yep thank you kind sirs be on your blessed way#I KNEW#but here's to hoping landlord will finally believe expert opinion instead of us silly girls who must not know how to take showers

who remembers when I posted a few days ago that my apartment would be done soon? a brief update there's more to do and I'm gonna throw myself out a fucking window
#The kitchen sink drains too slowly. The building says it's my plumber's fault and my plumber says it's the building#The building handyman is gonna re-do the plumbing but not until next Tuesday#I was so hoping to at least have the opportunity to sleep at the apartment for a few days this weekend and next week#I hate my commute to work and I thought maybe it would finally be over and now it's getting snatched away again#I'm so tired of this and I'm wishing I got an apartment that wasn't a fixer-upper#And I know that's a temporary thought bc it's gonna be so perfect when it's done BUT IT'S BEEN A YEAR WHEN WILL IT BE DONE#IT'S A 300 SQUARE FOOT STUDIO IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO RENOVATE#FIIUUUUUUUUCK

Apparently the serious back pain I've been dealing with for the past several months is caused by a disc issue in my back. It's rehydrating and dehydrating more rapidly than it should or something like that; it was 7am when my physical therapist was explaining it to me, so I don't remember very clearly.
Anyway, the point is, it hurts to bend over. But my garbage disposal is stuck again because the previous owners of the house installed the kitchen plumbing incorrectly. Unsticking it requires taking a hex key and jamming it into the little hole on the bottom of the disposal and wiggling it back and forth until it unsticks with apparently more arm strength than I have, because I just tried for 30 straight minutes and couldn't do it. And yes, this is necessary, because the disposal affects the whole plumbing for some reason so the sinks and dishwasher get negatively affected and won't drain when it's stuck.
This requires me to be hunched under the sink, by the by. Which hurts terribly because of my aggravated disc in my back.
These are the kinds of problems that take precedence when you're in your 30s. If you're still a youth in school, look forward to it.

This week has been SO much and it’s only Tuesday friends I am drowning
#had to take one of my cats to the emergency vet yesterday#accidentally diffused mold covered ravioli into the air bc I didn’t notice before I put them into the boiling water#immediately after that discovered my kitchen sink is leaking real badly#when I was on the phone with the plumber someone knocked on my door? which never happens#so I’m p sure it’s my downstairs neighbor and they’re seeing water damage#90% sure my homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover water damage repairs from leaks#I don’t have the money to fix that shit#ahhhhhhhhhhh#it’s fine. I’m so fine everything is ok and I’m definitely not super stressed and sleep deprived

i just had to put my hand in the hole in the bathroom floor to try and clean it. i had gloves and a trash bag on my hand, my mom on video call telling me what to do and i cried the entire time. 0/10 experience, do not recommend.
