Them and Suna were friends but not as close as they were with other members. Though, y/n agreed and that one date turns into two, then three then suddenly y/n is catching feelings. All of it comes crashing down when they overheard a conversation that they were not Supposed to hear.

Their time at the amusement park was fun and Y/N felt relieved the 3, had the other to take on thrill rides. Because in the past she felt bad they didn't ride what they wanted too since she didn't feel well after riding them.

Kita didn't kind the rides and even though both the guys and Y/N said go he said he'd rather spend the time doing other stuff. But the real reason was, rather than thrill rides he wanted to enjoy the day spending it with Y/N... of course this he wouldn't admit out loud.

Y/N watched Kita and Osamu cook from the safety of her hiding spot and she did try their food when no one was looking but of course who cooked the best... she'll never tell a soul.

And just like that we've reached the end of our trip.

Y/N is the type of person where she begins to overthink everything. One moment Kita is a friend but the next she finally admits she likes him and people are spreading rumors about her... the timing is horrible.

But now after seeing those posts on Twi, she's in a horrible mood and wants to yell or even cry. She tends to have a short temper and gets annoyed when someone tries to comfort her because a part of her didn't like when someone saw her in a vulnerable state. Which is why Osamu is the only one one that can handle her like that...a side she's nervous to show to Kita.

Kita is worried about Y/N and for him it was the longest bus ride home.

he should’ve known better.

this was the only thought racing in aran‘s mind as he sat on one of those uncomfortable hospital chairs in the emergency room‘s waiting area.

he should’ve noticed sooner.

it’s not like he had been completely clueless either — he knew that they‘ve been overworking themselves and that (as always) they just decided not to show their fatigue. and yet they couldn’t conceal the countless coughs that bc escaped them on the daily or how hard it was for them to breathe after light walks or going up a flight of stairs.

aran saw everything.

and still they ended up in the er.

he couldn’t help but partially blame himself. he could’ve been more persistent with his childhood friend, like he was when they were younger. he could have forced them to rest.

“are they okay?” kita’s voice ripped him out of his thoughts, bringing him back to reality. “have you heard anything?”

the group of friends sat down on the chairs next to him, all visibly shaken and confused.

“nothing,” the spiker replied as he shook his head, “but they’re stable”

“good,” kita replied, nodding, putting a comforting hand on aran’s shoulder.

soon after the only audible sounds coming from the five guys were their boots tapping on the light flooring as a few of them bounced their legs. it was atsumu who broke it, crossing his arms in confusion and frustration.

“i don’t get it,” he shook his head, “how could this happen?”

“they’re chronically ill, tsumu,” his twin shot back. “and it’s not like this is the first time this happened,” he added afterwards, mumbling.

kita took a deep breath, leaning back. “we shouldn’t overthink this now. we can always talk to them later” the young men agreed after a few seconds, nodding their heads hesitantly.

“¥100 that they didn’t realize it was bad enough to go to the doctors,” suna quipped weakly, desperately trying to lighten the grim atmosphere, earning a few chuckles.

they knew that the middle blocker was most likely right. everyone of them had their own (insufferable or questionable) quirks and bad habits, some more and some less serious.

but none of them ended up in the hospital because of it yet.

well, you win some, you lose some.

“am i a bad friend for wanting to give them an earful?” aran asked, looking at his friends with a deep frown. “i really want to, but i feel like that would only pour more salt in the wound, you know?”

“not a bad friend,” kita stated shrugging, “maybe not the best at reading the room, but not a bad friend. don’t think too much about it now. you did all you could and you shouldn’t be beating yourself up, alright? they’ll be okay”
