Hello, everyone!

I apologize for how long it’s been since I left an update here. I’m doing alright, all things considered, and have been working on just getting through the past couple of years rather than writing much. My health is still wonky, as is its wont, and I still very much enjoy FFXIV. Not much has really changed for me aside from uhhhhh [checks list] most things.

I want to finish what I started and to keep writing for all you lovely folks on tumblr dot com, but I haven’t had the time or energy to keep up with it in a while. I’ve been writing, but it’s slow and mostly personal or paid work only. The last time I sat down to work on asks, it was like my brain was full of fog and I couldn’t think about where I could even start. It’s a slog to write anything as of the past year, even if it means a lot to me or I’m excited about it.

So! Onto what this means for the blog:

I won’t be updating this tumblr more than a couple times a year from hereon out. Asks may occasionally be answered if I’m able, but please don’t count on it.

If you’d like to continue any of the things I’ve written, make RP responses to them, or otherwise add to/interact with my past posts, by all means please do!

If you’d like to write your own sequels, routes, or character-specific pieces based off of something I made, please make sure to credit this blog and to tag me! I’d love to see and reblog your work! 💕

I’m still here and excited to read and interact with the fandom and other people’s ideas and characters from my little corner. I just don’t have the energy to write like I used to.

(And I do still write for FFXIV (just vereeeeery slowly). It’s just over on Ao3 and 99% of it is about a middle aged catboy with depression and two emotionally constipated boyfriends.)

So yeah… that’s what’s happening? I suppose?

Two Witchy Wives Run a Blog

Hello Tumblr! I’m Jade, the main voice here on this blog Homebound Wonders. I’m an AFAB Bigender individual, I use both female and male pronouns, however I use She/Her more often than He/Him out of habit, hence why I refer to myself as Kiri’s wife instead of spouse or husband.

I practice chaos magick, herbal/green witchcraft, planetary magick, tarot and various experimental divination types, and honestly just about anything that catches my eye. I’m also fond of drawing and writing creatively which I might post here on the occasion as well as magick stuff.

Hi! I’m Kiri! I’m a cisgender female, using only female pronouns. I have autism and tend to like staying in the background of the blog, but when I decide to hop on you can see my posts because they’ll be tagged with #KiriSpeaks. If that’s not on there, assume it’s a post written by Jade.

My magick is very intuition based and energy based. I do energy readings, channelings (sometimes), and energy manipulation based spells. Like my wife I enjoy drawing and writing creatively, but I also enjoy creating soundscapes and hope to create music one day! I am recently returning to drawing and sound-crafting after years of being denied it by troubles in life, so you’ll get to watch my progress!

Hello, Anon! While I’d love to be able to provide you some comfort in these (severely) trying times, I am not comfortable writing anything having to do with animal death at this time. In the FAQ/guidelines I also state that I do not and will not write the twins in romantic relationships.

I hope you’re able to find someone who is comfortable making this type of content for you, as I am definitely not the right person for this sort of thing.

Favorite relationship | Dynamic w Moenbryda! I love her! I miss her! I wish we got to see them interact more (sob)

Favorite headcanon | He has an extreme dislike for spiced tea and can’t handle the amount of caffeine found in most coffee brews. Herbal tea is his staple, even if it makes his favorite books smell like orange peel and rose.

quick update: 

I am starting up with uni again and will be (somehow) even more busy. My health has been looking up as of late, though, and I’ve slowly been getting back into the swing of writing things! In the meantime, I am participating in (yet more) zines and currently working on starting up a FFXIV pin-up calendar project. I accept my fate as a workaholic ;;w;;

Also a note: this blog supports BLM! I support BLM and am doing what I can where I live to help protect and provide for the people of my neighborhood as we fight for their rights. This blog is not separate from that. I have a whole lot more to say on the subject, but I’ll leave it at this:

If you have any problems with BLM, the idea of equal rights, are for police violence or police in general, hit that beautiful little block button and get out of here. My work is not here for you.

First impression | Handsome knife man, huh? I can get into that

Impression now | Dadcred is an upgrade. He just needs to learn how to dad properly now. 

Favorite moment | When you discover that he was running around in Dravania without clothes no after exiting the Lifestream. I was really bamboozled by the Nutkin-censor thing

Idea for a story | Thancred having serious reactions to aetherically charged potables and healing magic, causing healer!WoL to panic when he gets gravely injured 

Unpopular opinion | He needs to stop changing his look all the time. There are too many thancreds. please, SE, pick One. 

Favorite relationship | His long-suffering friendship (and dadship) with Urianger

Favorite headcanon | Has issues with nerve damage in his hands and fingers as a result of having an Ascian cast Ultima while in his body.

What is Daring Dalliances?

Daring Dalliances is a series of fics made to follow along a central plotline, each of them focusing on how the player character (the WoL) interacts with various NPCs to work toward a Good End!

How does it work?

Readers can use the Masterpost (WIP) to read the fics that include the character(s) of their choice. There will be multiple ending options depending on your choices and the character(s) you wish to romance. Please keep in mind that this will not be uploaded to Ao3 as interactive fiction until completion. 

Will this have CGs/art to go with it?

Not unless someone decides to make art for it and agrees to a feature, no. I do not have an artistic bone in my body. 

How do I choose my route?

There will be main pieces made for general consumption (not route-specific) and then character-specific routes. Routes will be noted as follows: [Title] | [Main] or [Character] | [Rating]

All NSFW will be tagged and placed under a cut. Please be cognizant of the tags, titling, and relevant material. 

Follow along with as many characters as you’d like. To make sure that the NPC you’d like to romance is included, vote for them here! Main Story routes will be decided in a week on 11/01/2019 at 12:00 AM EST.

Impression now | Yep. Definitely lesbian. And undateable (sob). I love one (1) Junius. 

Favorite moment | Every single time she exists. 

Idea for a story | WoL and Lucia sparring. Friendly ass-kicking. 

Unpopular opinion | She really could have been developed way more but she got put aside (like most female characters in SE’s games) despite having a role that could prove integral to a lot of Ishgard’s reformation

Favorite relationship | Her friendship and loyalty to Aymeric. They have a very strong bond and it makes me go ;;w;; ah what power

Favorite headcanon | Wearing the circlet is really uncomfortable for her third eye.
