approximately every three months death note will drag me kicking and screaming into rewatching the show and rereading my fav fics and catching up with the fandom anyway do y’all wanna here my headcanon on how misa would have been an even more affective kira if the show didn’t hate women basically because she’s a superstar no one would have ever connected her to the kira killings (iirc she was just linked bc she was dating light all of a sudden) like imagine if anna taylor joy was linked to mass murderer you think that’d be crazy right and she was incredibly smart and had the money to learn even more about people (not counting her eyes, talking about how she had the money to practically fucking doxx light using the dark web and how she’s just crazy good at reading people and manipulating people) like realistically she could have started her own murder empire if the show fucking recognized how cool and badass she was

utterly unreadable reader-insert idea occurring to me midday. begone I have shit I have got to finish well before that nonsense
#was toying with the idea of writing a fic where bury us both mello hooks up w/ some random girl#during the time period between the Kira case and meeting Near in Brussels#(i.e. when they're broken up for 10 months)#where Mello is in her “I don't even MISS Near I don't need her or care about her” partying too hard era#anyway the idea is that she meets someone at a party and hooks up with them but calls them by Near's name repeatedly#and is potentially a little too openly verbally affectionate.
