Karasuno on a plane
Headcanons
Daichi: is definitely a total pro at putting the bags in the overhead bin. If he sees anyone struggle for a millisecond, he's taking their bag and putting it up for them. He'd spend an hour ensuring all the bags were secure up there so nothing could possibly be damaged if the flight attendants didn't ask him to sit down.
Suga: is a perfect passenger for SURE. He has the utmost respect for the flight attendants and what they have to deal with, and he does his absolute best not to cause problems and to help alleviate any issues that may arise. He also doesn't mind or complain when annoying kids are on the flight. If there are any kids around him, he's definitely making silly faces and trying to entertain them as best he can to give their parent(s) a break.
Asahi: had a fear of flying since he was young, so he self-medicates and sleeps through the entire thing. He usually has to bring someone with him so they can wake him up after they land. He learned from that one time he flew by himself and ended up being woken up by a very concerned flight attendant who was afraid he died and in the commotion of him waking up, he spilled his water all over his pants. He’s still embarrassed from that day.
Nishinoya: is Asahi’s confirmed travel guide and personal alarm clock. He’s also a very light packer so he usually only has one bag for all of his things. Since Asahi is asleep for most of the flight he tries his best to entertain himself quietly (or as quietly as he’s going to get) for the bulk of the flight.
Tanaka: watches movies and laughs way too loud. I mean WAY too loud. He has to be asked to quiet down by the flight attendants. He also likes to play the mind numbing games that you can play on airplane mode. He’s on level 1467 of some sorting game.
Ennoshita: is extremely terrified of turbulence. He pays all of his attention to the safety demonstration and reads the safety booklet several times. He’s perfectly fine unless things get shaky.
Kinoshita: usually sleeps for most of the ride. The lull of the plane relaxes him and he’s out before the plane takes off. He doesn’t really bother anyone but his throat always hurts after he wakes up because he ends up breathing in a lot of dry air with his mouth open.
Narita: sits down with a good book and reads the entire flight. He’s read a 700 page book in one flight. Kinoshita was next to him and fell asleep around page 14 and woke up 650 pages later. He did it the first time because he forgot a bookmark. He regretted it after because he had nothing for the layover or the second flight.
Kageyama: is not very good with airport directions, so he usually barely makes the flight, if at all. He tries to be unproblematic and fails miserably. They never have any of the drinks he asks for and he simply cannot figure out how to work the small tv if he has one. He also hates when the vent is blowing on him and never remembers to download any music or movies to his phone. He also forgets his headphones.
Hinata: can NOT sit still. He’s the guy that is always walking up and down the aisle just to move his legs. The flight attendants have to keep asking him to sit down and he feels awful for inconveniencing them. He also talks to anyone willing throughout the flight. By the end of the flight he’s told at least three people his entire life story. He tries his best to figure out when people are done talking to him.
Tsukishima: spends about 70% of any flight he’s on trying his best to not throttle the small child that somehow ALWAYS ends up sitting next to him. The other 30% is him convincing himself that opening the doors and jumping off the plane just to avoid the screaming is a bad idea. He has his noise canceling headphones in at all times with music full blast but the wailing child never fails to break right through it. Murder is wrong Kei.
Yamaguchi: is the literal pro of airport snacks. His family is pretty well off so they went on far trips enough that Tadashi could determine where all the BEST snacks were in a bunch of airports. He always tries to get there early so he can bring snacks with him off the plane for his friends or family or whoever he’s visiting.
Yachi: somehow manages to convince herself the plane is going to go down and that these are her last moments. Plane rides are a bit of a draining experience for her. She also spills her drink either on herself or someone else every single time. She’s doing her best.
Kiyoko: watches movies and shows to pass the time. She usually goes for silly movies that will make her laugh quietly to herself. Her go to movie is Mamma Mia and go to show is ATLA.
Ukai: gets drunk on the plane. Enough said.
Takeda: has fallen asleep on the people next to him on several occasions. He’s mortified when he wakes up and apologizes profusely. But no matter what pillow he tries around his neck he seems to simply gravitate to the living being that just wants to make it through this flight unbothered.

Karasuno in a Fitting Room
Hi. I work in a fitting room. I hate it. Don’t work in a fitting room. But lemme tell you how I think Karasuno would act in a fitting room. For sillies and funnies.
Daichi
A very polite boy!
Who has no idea what he is doing!
Someone please help him
Oh wait that’s my job…
He constantly calls for help
“Do you have this in a bigger size? What other colors do you have? What's the return policy on these? Does another store have it?”
Like bro please chill out with the questions other people need help 😭😭
He’s a model customer tho
Brings out the clothes, says please and thank you, and makes very nice conversation
He would be a regular that I’d make friends with
Sugawara
Oikawa called him Mr. Refreshing and hE WAS SO RIGHT
What is it about him that makes him such a good customer?
Is it his pretty face? Is it his easygoing smile? His politeness? Or is it something innate? Why do I feel like everything will be all right with him around?
Idk what it is but he’s making my day 🤷‍♀️
He’s the type to show his outfit and ask “How does this look on me?”
Quick story, a customer once asked me what I thought of the purple pants he was planning to buy and I described them as "swanky"
I think he was intimidated by that because his response was "wow, I have never heard that word before" 😂😂 and he left the pants
Sugawara would not be intimidated by me calling his outfit swanky
Also lowkey does my job if I have to walk away or turn my back
“Oh yeah, just go right in! You can set what you don’t want on the counter.”
Suga please it’s my job you don’t have to do this
Asahi
“Hello, welcome in!” “Oh, hello!”
Very apologetic customer
“I’m sorry to disturb you but could you help me with this?”
Omg yes of course I’ll help you don’t apologize for needing help that’s what I’m here for
Actually listens when I ask him to bring his clothes out when he’s done
Lemme know if anyone is ever bothering you hun cuz I can call security to have them kicked out
Apologizes when he brings his clothes out 😭
“I’m so sorry to add more to your workload…”
Tbh you don’t have to apologize when you bring clothes back…
“…I can just put these back where I found them?”
On second thought, you’re an angel and I’ll love you forever Asahi
I wish all customers like Asahi a very pleasant evening and a pat on the head
Nishinoya
s i g h
I love you Noya, I really do
But I know for a fact that he’d be a MENACE in the fitting rooms
He’s just so loud?? For no reason????
Bro what are you yelling in the fitting room for??? There’s only a mirror and a bench in there???????
He’s like that random kid in the school hallway that screams for no reason
He doesn’t sound like he’s in distress tho?? so I don’t call security yet
Also, he sometimes shops in the kids section I KNOW HE DOES HAHAHA
No shame Noya, I shop in the kids section too
The adults section doesn't have pikachu hoodies
I bet he grabbed one too
Tbh he’d be funny enough where I can excuse his loudness
He brings his clothes out (none of it folded and no hangers) and says:
“Sorry about that, my friend sent me a pic of a dog he saw and I got excited.”
Understandable king, have a nice day
I tell my coworkers about the weird customer who was screaming about a dog and we all agree he was very relatable
Tanaka
“Hi, welcome in!” “Heya! Thanks!”
This guy looks intimidating. He probably won't bring his clothes out
He comes out dressed in nice jeans and a dark polo shirt
"Can I ask for your opinion? I'm going on a date later today and I wanna dress nicely but I don't know what I'm doing."
Oh...
Yeah of course, I'll help you out. Is it more formal or casual?
Actually a really chill and cool dude!
So respectful too
He asks for opinions on each outfit
"I need a woman's opinion. What do girls like best on a man?"
Uhh, personally I’m a huge fan of poet shirts and thigh highs but we don’t sell those
"Are you sure this looks good?" "Yes! The color really suits you."
Brings his rejected outfits to me and says:
"Thanks for all your help. I feel like a new man with these clothes!"
Man, you are so very welcome! I hope the date goes well!
Ennoshita
He is power walking for some reason??
“Hi, welcome in!” “Hellothankyou.”
Why is he talking so fast? Are you okay dude??
Leaves and tries on multiple things
Bro does not know his size so he’s gotta try everything
The more clothes he brings in, the deeper I feel my stomach sink
Until…
“Uh, I’ll just take these back where I found them. I need to get another size anyway.”
omgomgomgomg
Wait you dropped this king 👑
I don’t even care if they’re on the right hanger or not
This must be an angel sent to provide me relief from the other bozos in this store
He leaves too quickly for me to tell him to have a nice day
Kinoshita
Karasuno has very polite boys who were raised right so I have complete faith in them
Although I do draw the line of kindness somewhere
Take Kinoshita for example
He does everything right: greets me back, says thank you, brings his clothes out, and he even has a good smile
It goes downhill once he returns his clothes
Cuz he’s trying to be helpful by folding the clothes at my counter but…
He’s not doing it right 😬😬
K-Kinoshita please, I appreciate what you’re doing but you’re doing it wrong and I’m just gonna have to redo it and it’s a little embarrassing to watch please just stop
“Um, thank you, have a good one!”
My smile says I’m dying inside
Narita
“Hello, welcome in!” *nods as a greeting*
Quiet and respectful. I like him already
He’s not gonna try on a lot, just what he needs
In and out in no time
“Thank you, have a good one!”
I wish more people were like Narita
Kageyama
Ummmm he’s okay, comes off a little rude
Just waltzes right in without greeting
“Hi, welcome in!” “…”
Ok buddy
He's just very focused lol
He's a quick changer, love that about him
Oof wait I can see him competing with Hinata to see who changes faster
UGH THATD BE THE WORST
They would leave a huge mess and make so much noise
I might call security on them lol
They’re the teenagers in Target everyone warns you about
Anyway, back to Kageyama
He’s a polite lad so he brings the clothes out but they’re either on the wrong hanger or just bunched up in his hands
I’ll take it. Great effort Kageyama! 👍
Hinata
✨THE PERFECT CUSTOMER✨
he’s so nice and friendly, I would love for Hinata to visit my fitting room
“Hi, welcome in!” “Hello! Thank you!”
He’d make easy conversation, workers love him instantly
Such a nice smile!!!
And so polite!!!!!!
Truly an anomaly in this store
He’s really quick with changing too, he wastes no time
My carrot top son, I love him so much
He probably knows his exact size and everything
Also shops in the kids section LOL
Unproblematic, friendly, AND HE BRINGS THE CLOTHES OUT WHEN HES DONE
“I’m sorry. I tried to hang them myself but I had no idea how.”
Baby it is okay, your effort is appreciated please know that I love you
I only tell the customers I like to have a nice day and Hinata would get one every time
“Thank you! Have a nice day!” “Thank you, you too!”
Tsukishima
I feel like Tsukishima is self-aware enough to realize his personality would not survive working retail lol
One customer would be rude and he’d clap back instantly and get fired cuz they’d complain about him
So he’s unproblematic when he’s at a store
Asshole to everyone but customer service workers
Treat others how you want to be treated kinda guy
Probably hates trying on clothes cuz he never finds anything that fits
At least he’s respectful
“Thank you, have a nice day!” “Thank you.”
Yamaguchi
“Hello, welcome in!” “Oh, um, thank you.”
Nice and good boi!
Also doesn’t find anything in his size but he’ll ask
I’d actually do my job and help him look LOL
He probably tries to go outside his comfort zone but he’s having a hard time
“Are you sure this looks okay?” “Of course! But how do you feel in it?”
I tend to do that a lot with customers like Yams
Wear what you feel good in!
That just a lil tip for yall 😘
He brings out all the clothes but they’re backwards lol
“Thank you. I hope you like your outfit!” “Thank you, you too!”
Oops uhhhh, I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear that
Kiyoko
“Hi, welcome in!” “Hello.”
A…a natural beauty…
I can’t look at her…it’s too much….
Queen slays with every outfit she tries on
She keeps admiring the skirts and shorts but she never tries them on??
Wonder why
“Did you need help finding that skirt in another size?” “Oh… No. Thank you though.”
Despite absolutely nailing every outfit and catching the attention of just about every other patron in the store, she returns all the clothes.
“I’m sorry. Nothing seemed to suit me. Thank you for all your help.”
Wh…what???
Girl everything suited you. Whaddaya mean!?!?
I know you wanted to try that skirt on! It would look so good!!
But hey, idk her story, I just work in the fitting room
“You’re welcome. Please have a nice day!”
I wonder if she’ll every come back for that skirt…
Yachi
Another very apologetic customer
No one needs to apologize this much guys 😭
“I’m so sorry for making a mess!”
You haven’t made any kind of mess! Please calm down!
She’s also pretty quick with changing
She comes out after with all the clothes…folded and hung perfectly??? What is this witchcraft????
I bet she’s worked retail before
She holds up two different shirts and says “Um, can I ask for your opinion on these two? Which do you prefer?”
She’s very clearly a little wound up so maybe some light conversation will loosen her
“I like the one on the right…” it’s not the truth but it leads to a conversation and she starts to relax more
“Thank you so much. You’ve been very helpful!” “It’s no trouble at all. Enjoy the rest of your day!” “Thank you! You do as well!”
I think I just made a new friend :)

Kurasuno Headcannons
Suga LOVES baking and yachi is rlly good a decorating sweets so they often make cupcakes for the team
Kageyama has a shelf that lines the entire length of his wall and it’s just full of small stuffed animals
Hinata laughs the first time he saw it but secretly found it really cute
He now gives Kageyama a small plushy each Christmas and birthday
Asahi is more into keychains and Noya is always getting him more
Once, Natsu had to go to practice with Hinata( bc he had to take her somewhere immediately after or smt) and now she’s included in the Hinata protection service
All the bench members (kinoshita, suga, Yamaguchi, Narita, and Noya) are on a first name basis
Kageyama is touch starved but very few ppl realize it (not even himself) and no one rlly knows how to help
Suga is one of the few ppl to realize and so he occasionally puts his arm around Kageyama shoulder or high-fives him (small stuff like that)
Bc of this Suga is Kageyama’s favorite
He’s also Yamaguchi’s favorite
Yachi and Hinata are absolutely besties
Kageyama might be a bit jealous abt this

karasuno boys and part time jobs!
((started a new job, immediate funny little idea!))
《--¤--¤--》
daichi sawamura - he's definitely a barista! also sees asahi regularly because he just so happens to work at the coffee shop where asahi has to pick up everyone's drinks haha
koshi sugawara - teacher's assistant! besides being the co-captain in the volleyball club, being a teacher's assistant would help him fall in love with teaching kids!
asahi azumane - paid office internship! i see this man totally running around to get coffee and lunch orders for everyone, but also accidentally intimidate everyone because of his looks.
yuu nishinoya - he's kind of all over the place to be honest, he's probably had ALL these jobs and more but he hates staying in one place for too long. the longest job he had was being a receptionist at a hotel, since he got to meet alot of tourists!
ryuunosuke tanaka - door-to-door salesman, partially cause he's extremely talkative and would pursade (see: threaten) the people into buying products and partially cause "one day i might knock on kiyoko's door and have the honor to sell her something!!!!"
chikara ennoshita - as the first second year to get a license, he's definitely delivering orders to people (and notices a trend with nishinoya and tanaka ordering way more so ennoshita delivers to them)
hisashi kinoshita - i see him as a flower shop worker! idk tbh he just LOOKS like he belongs in a flower shop, ya know?
kazuhito narita - he really got the unlucky draw because he's a dishwasher at a restaurant. no hate to narita, i swear! i just see him with a pair of headphones vibing and staying away from the general chaos.
tobio kageyama - a kitchen worker at a fast food place! he'd be able to work in any area, but he's kinda awkward with people so he prefers being in the kitchen where he just cooks food.
shoyo hinata - paper boy! he's pretty fast on his bike and sees it as extra training (half the time he chooses to run and toss the papers like a volleyball to the porches)
tsukishima kei - librarian's assistant. he IS tall enough for all the shelves and idk i think he smells like books all the time so him working in the library is fitting for him.
tadashi yamaguchi - customer service at a store! he got the job to overcome his social anxiety (and it works wonders for him) ((he also gains the patience of a saint from dealing with so many difficult customers))

What I Think Time-Skip Karasuno Would Drink
qualifications: I've worked part-time in a pub for like two years and i probably drink a bit too much
hinata - specifically a white rum and coke or a fruity cocktail with a little umbrella and everything
kageyama - i kinda feel like he'd get a half pint of lager (which is considered a pussy move) or he would just copy someone else he was with, i just don't really see him as a regular drinker
tsukishima - i think him and yamaguchi regularly hang at home and watch a film or something and work their way through a bottle of wine (or two)
yamaguchi - if they serve mojitos, hes having mojitos. and he will judge on whether it's a good one or not
yachi - she's a cocktail kinda girl, im thinking specifically like tropical flavoured ones
nishinoya - have u ever heard of a jägerbomb....
tanaka - he drinks pints of lager, specifically ones on tap and not in a bottle if he can help it
ennoshita - he loves a vodka cranberry, and he will tell himself that it's healthier and helps to lessen a hangover
narita - i have no explanation for this, but... stay with me... a vodka redbull.
kinoshita - a drink called sourz that's mostly drank as shots and by like teenagers at house parties (idk if it's a thing outside of the UK, but it's really sour and in loads of different fruit flavours)
sugawara - am i calling him basic if i say a vodka lime and soda? probably. but im sorry he just kinda looks like half of the people that order a vodka lime and soda
asahi - i think he likes a good whiskey with a single cube of ice and he will not complain if the bartender adds more (but sometimes nishinoya just eats the extra, puts his hands straight in the glass and crunches because he's an absolute freak (affectionate))
daichi - he drinks ale and tries so hard not to be pretentious about it but fails and suga is always grossed out by whatever daichi is drinking
kiyoko - she likes espresso martinis, she is classy and she IS cooler than you.

what haikyuu characters would major in at My College™ -karasuno edition!-
it is summer i am not at my institution of learning but i thought this would be fun ! we have some quirky majors and everyone is a double major or has a major and a minor… very rare for someone to just major in one thing lol
daichi - oh he’s definitely political science and political economy and public policy, perhaps on the pre-law track. also would consider public health (haha that’s my major!) major or minor with a focus in public safety or workplace health
sugawara - suga is so psychology major on the education track (we don’t have an education major, but we do have the track and a graduate program)
asahi - unfortunately my school doesn’t have fashion design, however, we do have a large theatre program with a subcategory in stage management, design & technical theatre and i think he’d like the costume design aspect. another area i could see him in is studio art or art history. definitely intertwined with the art department :)
nishinoya - hot take maybe but anthropology and definitely international studies! i think he’d also fight the school to go abroad multiple times
tanaka - might be a different take but i think he’d start out as business administration or finance because he didn’t really know what he wanted to do, but then he took a random sociology course for a credit and fell in love with it, leading to a double major
ennoshita - this man is so obviously biology on the pre-med track, mr. physical therapist
kinoshita - business administration i can feel it in my bones,,, with a sustainability studies minor
narita - another business administration guy, but i would consider adding in finance major or the innovation and entrepreneurship minor
kageyama - ooo i get to have fun with this one! i could totally see him as a media & communications major or a sociology major for the analysis purposes (i think after his volleyball career he’d become a sports journalist or analyst) and for where he ends up in present day, i grant him an italian studies minor
hinata - i get to have fun with hinata too! he’s sooo definitely on the education track (he’s a great teacher), but with particular majors i can see him in international studies or media & communication (more the latter, kind of for the same reasons as kageyama) and a minor in latin american and caribbean studies!
tsukishima - oh this is so easy. double history and accounting major (he wanted something practical mixed in with his passion), and an analytics minor
yamaguchi - my boy! i think he’d take an interdisciplinary approach to mathematics with a focus in business and technology (perhaps a computer science minor?), but there’s also sustainability studies and information systems management incorporated in his degree somehow :)
kiyoko - i’m heading way off from canon, but i totally think she’s on the pre-med track with a biochemistry major looking to pursue a medical leadership certificate or graduate degree. it just feels right to me.
yachi - babygirl is so vibing in the studio arts major, but for practical application she’s also majoring/minoring in media & communications. can’t convince me otherwise that she’s a women and gender studies minor.
this was so much fun!!! i’m definitely going to be expanding upon this universe, since i already have a bunch of ideas lingering in my head. next, i’ll be doing other secondary characters’ majors and minors !

Haikyuu and Public Transportation Headcanons: Karasuno 2012-2013 Team
I’m going to get these so wrong bc I only just got into Haikyuu and have just started watching season 3. I tried avoiding spoilers but Haikyuu-Bu was too funny… (got scared and ran away when the post-timeskip happened)
I’m also doing this on no research and just vibes 👍 (don’t kill me pls) (I know like nothing about non-regular 2nd years 😭 except Ennoshita is voiced by Toshiki Masuda who also voices Rei from EnStars!?)
Testing if I wanna make this a series:
——
Okay so these kids live basically on the outskirts so most of them don’t got any public transportation experience before high school. School-paid buses do NOT count.
Third Years:
Daichi Sawamura - Probably has ridden a bus or train to the city maybe once or twice; I heard he’s directionally challenged but he can probably get to places if he memorizes the path and sticks to it; his experiences on public transportation are fine, nothing that interesting happens but he likes the sights; people have gone up to him to ask for directions when it’s his first time ever at a stop
Kōshi Sugawara - Has never ridden public transportation before high school, doesn’t like the bus air smell but can tolerate it, reads or plays on his phone for long rides
Asahi Azumane - Probably has ridden once when he was younger for sth like a specialist doctor visit (so he can’t get out of it), came up with the worst possible scenarios the night before, if he were any younger than he was then his mom would escort him there (sadly she has work today), his fears were completely unfounded but he basically collapsed at his door from mental exhaustion when he got home; he’s probably the type to suffer from motion sickness too and needs to remember to take his meds; 80% will fumble when he taps or swipes his card
Kiyoko Shimizu - Absolute mystery if she’s ever taken it but she’s Shimizu so every experience is perfect for her; the type to like to ride with a buddy to chat with but will pull out a book otherwise (mostly to deter any men trying to hit on her, so she can just ignore)
Second years:
Yū Nishinoya - Never so he’s so pumped to try it out; bus is okay but the train? IT’S SO COOL this idiot will be standing up while the train is moving when there are available seats, will want to swing from pole to pole like Dancing in the Rain (has not seen the original); he gets stopped by a train worker one day when he’s bouncing from pole to pole to ask where his parents are; one of those people who want to ride to the end of a train or bus line only for this dumbass to realize his stop is the last stop
Ryūnosuke Tanaka - Has never had the need to ride on public transportation and is proud of it; 1000% willing to act as some sort of protector on the train for Kiyoko (Kiyoko has to keep track of the stations bc he’s going to forget); thinks the trains are cool too (and honestly much prefers it over Saeko’s driving but he would like to live thank you much); also one of those last stop dumbasses
Chikara Ennoshita - idk but I feel like this guy has rode buses more often and he honestly prefers it to trains; old ladies at the bus stops chat with him about stuff and he eventually becomes a regular with them; tries to read on the bus but he gets motion sickness and instead watches the window or the old ladies chat him up some more
Hisashi Kinoshita - probably never had an experience before high school; also the type to like to ride with a buddy; he honestly gives me mobile gamer vibes idk, it’s either really short bus rides or really long train rides; his mom probably worries about if he has enough money every time (he probably does)
Kazuhito Narita - Doesn’t like public transport and he doesn’t know exactly why but there’s always something off whenever he rides whether the seats are too dirty or the air is too smelly; he probably has the most experience riding public transport (relatives in the city or sth); sights watcher
First years:
Tobio Kageyama - once or twice for family; he likes the train more (bro gives off such his family gifted him model trains instead of Hot Wheels); yea he will sleep on the train even in that super uncomfortable position with his head back; HE WILL MISS HIS STOP WHEN HE SLEEPS and once he misses his stop he is now lost and requires someone to give him directions via call
Shōyō Hinata - no experience either and honestly it’s okay, he prefers his bike; the sights are cool tho, one of those who will put his face against that dirty glass to “get a closer look”; has been scolded before to seat properly on the seat instead of on his knees facing the window; holds his little sister’s hand when with her; always running to catch his ride
Kei Tsukishima - has past experience; prefers going alone or with Yamaguchi; listens to music via his headphones regardless; doesn’t like it when the trains get crowded and he’s squished between two people; does not give up his train seat to the elderly; never runs to catch a bus or train, if he misses it he misses it
Tadashi Yamaguchi - has past experience too; likes going with Tsukki although Tsukishima makes like no conversation and Yamaguchi talks for a bit and then it’s just silence (the comfortable kind dw); he’s the GPS and maps person when he’s with Tsukki; sights watcher too
Hitoka Yachi - def rides public transport to school and back; her mom has her card always filled to max; if my girl didn’t ride so often she would have debilitating thoughts about worst case scenarios like Asahi; she’s probably the person Kageyama calls when he gets lost and she will try to explain the best she can but the poor boy may still get lost and they will panic together; she’s rode public transport so many times it’s just a thing to her now but she enjoys when the rest of the team rides with her since they usually aren’t used to it and have the most excited outlooks on it
Bonus:
Keishin Ukai is always missing his rides and Ittetsu Takeda finds the vibrations of train rides relaxing
——
Was gonna do stuff if about the trains and buses being late but then I remembered this is Japan… yeah I originally made it bc I’m always pissed about when my rides are late and we need more silly shitpost headcanons for Haikyuu
If any of my headcanons just straight up contradict canon, just pretend they don’t exist 👍 thanks

Haikyuu High School Band AU (Karasuno)
I know I've seen this before, but I just HAVE to make my own version of this!!
Haikyuu High School Band AU!! Or at least headcanons on the characters
Starting off strong with Karasuno as a starting point (as much as I want to just do all my favorite characters first TvT), including the entire team and coaches and managers
Please lmk if you want to hear more about this au, and I'm happy to take asks for more headcanons or even story ideas!! (I do plan on writing more and for doing some of the other teams, albeit maybe not with such in depth headcanons and maybe not the entire teams)
(Also, small disclaimer, this is based almost exclusively on personal experience, and a lot of this is based on things that have actually happened to me/in my band gkhsbkj)
Karasuno:
Tumblr media
#1 - Sawamura Daichi
Leadership: Band Captain/Section Leader
Concert: Tuba
Marching: Sousaphone
Jazz: Trombone
I feel like he'd totally play tuba and be in jazz on trombone, as well as being a band captain and section leader for the low brass (or just tubas if the band is big enough). Definitely gets "That's my band captain!!" yelled at him a lot, no matter what he does, and he's totally sick and tired of it. He is single-handedly the only reason the band hasn't fallen apart because he actually keeps close contact with everyone in leadership and makes sure stuff is organized. He also brought back running laps as a punishment, but he somehow made it such a thing that people would just join in pre-marching rehearsal laps.
In concert, he's probably first chair tuba in the highest band and thankfully actually knows his parts and is consistently called on to play shared parts with other sections by himself as an example.
As for jazz, I imagine he might not be in first chair, maybe even being on bass trombone, but he knows his part. Not perfectly, but he knows it well. He's also not the most flashy soloist; his solos are simple and solid and well-thought through (if they're improv-ed).
-----
#2 - Sugawara Koushi
Leadership: Head Drum Major
Concert: Bassoon
Marching: Flute
Marched flute his freshman and sophomore years before becoming a drum major his junior and senior years. While he tries (sometimes) to be serious and a good example, being in executive leadership, more often than not he's adding flourishes and shenanigans to his conducting whenever he feels like it and stealing Daichi's tuba, sousa, or trombone mouthpieces upon request from the non-low-brass underclassmen who aren't allowed in the low brass room where they're stored.
He also plays bassoon in concert in the highest band mostly because of a lack of bassoon players. Not to say he's bad---he is good at his instrument---but he also didn't have much competition. He's known for walking around the band room with a bassoon reed in his mouth and occasionally crowing on it (or putting multiple in his mouth and being almost as obnoxious as some of the other brass players). He always seems to have a pair of pliers or sandpaper during rehearsals, constantly adjusting his reeds whenever he's not playing---for better or for worse, especially when he overadjusts and doesn't have time to fix it before he has to play again.
-----
#3 - Azumane Asahi
Concert: Percussion
Marching: Front Ensemble (Mallots)
He managed to fly under the radar in terms of skill level until someone caught him practicing an insane marimba solo for fun when he thought no one else was in the band room. And then obviously he got stuck getting tons of mallot solos, quickly becoming the band's most prized percussionist. He's always terrified when doing solos, especially in front of judges by himself, but is absolutely in the zone when he's performing in concert or marching band, entirely focused on playing and nothing else.
At some point, the pressure got to be too much and he quit band for a year. Prior, he had been assigned primarily to more auxilary percussion instruments, so when he was suddenly expected to be this amazing player after one encounter, he caved and dropped the class. Fortunately, when the underclassmen discovered he used to be a great player, they managed to drag him back, and Takeda happily got him a schedule change to bring him back into band.
Now, he spends a lot of time hidden away in the percussion room, often interrupted by Noya, with headphones on and practicing his mallot parts. The band relied on him, after all, and he couldn't let them down.
-----
#4 - Nishinoya Yuu
Concert: Percussion
Marching: Lead Snare
Jazz: Rhythm (Drumset)
One of those crazy good percussionists that just seemed to show up one day with an insane talent for drumset and drums in general. While he struggles in concert to read rhythms (often improv-ing them instead, which often gets him a stern look from their band director, Ukai), he has a natural knack for drumset and setting up the jazz band with a solid backing.
In concert, he loves to play the big percussion instruments, like gong, bass drum, or timpanis, but he's content with anything that's loud and stands out (slapstick, flexitone, castanets; if you know, you know). He seems to always be late for rehearsals, usually with a snack, smoothie, or full on fast food meal that he brings into the band room and immediately gets chewed out for for bringing open food into the band room.
He somehow ended up on lead snare for marching despite wanting to play tenors or bass drum because they needed someone with really good tempo and feet timing, as well as skill on the drums, in order to line up with and help the drum majors keep the band in time out on the field.
In jazz, he essentially only plays the drums, having no particular skills on vibraphone or piano. So when rhythm rotates and someone else is on drumset, he often has to sit out if there isn't another set of drums needed for the chart.
He seems to never leave the band room, similar to Asahi, except he doesn't actually seem to do anything except cause problems. If he's not confined to the percussion room, spending time with Asahi, he's on a drumset somewhere in the band room or helping the underclassmen pull pranks (no he definitely was not the reason there were tons of stickers of Ukai's face now being distributed among the band).
-----
#5 - Tanaka Ryuunosuke
Concert: Alto Saxophone
Marching: Alto Saxophone
Jazz: Alto/Soprano Saxophone
Ah yes, the bane of every band director's existence: that one loud alto sax player. Is he good at his instrument? Yes. Does that make him any less obnoxious? Absolutely not. He practically carries the entire marching alto section out on the field with how loud he plays (for better or for worse) and is constantly told to play quieter, play less aggressive, soften the articulation, just chill out a little bit. He is, shockingly, usually the first to marching rehearsal (sometimes throwing a ball with some others on the field before it starts) and probably the most hyped out of anyone. This does not, however, stop him from being late to stretch block despite being there earlier than anyone.
He is very well known for trying to play every instrument that isn't his. At least once a week, he's trying to convince someone to let him play their trombone, bari sax, trumpet, bass clarinet. Many times has he been lectured by Daichi for playing other people's instruments, especially when Band Plague (tm) is circulating.
He plays lead alto in jazz. It's a miracle they let him play soprano sax in jazz, but they really couldn't pick anyone else that had the same skill for jazz and improv as he had. He and Noya are a duo that should not be messed with or underestimated, especially if they're assigned to the same combo.
-----
#6 - Ennoshita Chikara
Leadership: Quartermaster, eventually Band Captain/Section Leader
Concert: Euphonium
Marching: Trombone
Getting the instruments right for him was hard, but I could honestly only see him playing trombone and euph. It's kind of a mystery how he ended up as a quartermaster after putting in his leadership application, but him lugging around equipment and setting things up quickly became a very common sight. He proved himself to be extremely reliable, and Daichi would often go to him for advice and to make sure everything was set up and ready to go. When he becomes band captain and section leader, it was very natural; the irony was having two low brass band captains in a row, which isn't the most common sight.
He's probably what would be considered the model band student, which is most likely the reason he is assigned to executive leadership. He's always on time, always the last to leave after helping clean up the band room and put chairs and stands away (that no one else bothers to). He diligently practices his concert and marching music, which does land him with his fair share of solos. He's the best euphonium player they have in the highest band simply due to his dedication. He does, however, seem to have a sixth sense for misbehavior, and he's scared a number of band kids when he suddenly appears just as they're breaking the rules.
-----
#7 - Kinoshita Hisashi
Concert: Alto Saxophone
Marching: Alto Saxophone
Jazz: Alto Saxophone
Kind of just your average, quiet alto player. The problems lie in who he has to be around consistently: Tanaka. Their lockers are next to each other, and he's always second to Tanaka. He really doesn't mind, he just wishes when the "altos" get yelled at, they would specify "just Tanaka." Fortunately, he's a decent player---albeit often told to play louder on his second alto part---so the attention usually isn't on him very much.
He's often found outside the band room by the vending machine, usually doing homework or chatting with Narita (and Ennoshita if he's not practicing, which he usually is). He prefers to practice at home, so he brings his instrument almost everyday. Even if he is (definitely) a better concert alto than Tanaka, he doesn't bother challenging him for his chair because he knows he will never hear the end of it. Better to keep the peace, he thinks. Second alto isn't such a bad part to play.
-----
#8 - Narita Kazuhito
Concert: Oboe
Marching: Baritone Saxophone
Jazz: Baritone Saxophone
Another quiet but strong player, he's a very reliable oboe and bari sax player (the double reed to saxophone pipeline is very present). Initially, he never expected to play bari sax after spending middle school playing oboe and alto sax for concert and marching, but when Ukai became band director, he decided they needed more low reeds. So, he ended up picking up bark sax when he joined jazz in sophomore year and really enjoyed it, enough to start marching it.
While he's still second chair oboe behind Kiyoko in the highest ensemble, he does often end up being the only oboe when she switches to English horn for some pieces. He's had to learn a lot in terms of being confident in his part and not leaning on more experienced players. Jazz band helped with this as well given the standard big band only has one bari sax; he can't always rely on having Daichi on bass trombone sometimes to back him up, especially not in sax features.
His locker is actually next to Kinoshita's despite it being one of the massive bari sax lockers, and seeing a tiny oboe case on top of a giant bari sax case is always entertaining. He also probably rarely uses an actual school locker with how much space he has in his band locker (even if he's not there super and they're technically not supposed to store non-band things in there). I imagine he doesn't spend more time in the band room than he has to most of the time---no particular reason against it, he just doesn't see the need to be there.
-----
#9 - Kageyama Tobio
Leadership: Section Leader
Concert: Clarinet, Bass/Contrabass Clarinet
Marching: Clarinet, Mellophone
Every band has that one person that can play way too many instruments and takes the "give me five minutes and a fingering chart" phrase way to literally. That person at Karasuno is Kageyama. While his primary instrument is---and always will be---clarinet, he picks up other instruments pretty quickly given the chance: piano, saxophone, flute, trumpet, and mellophone in particular. In concert, he is the best clarinet player the band has, which gives him opportunities to play bass clarinet (if they don't already have one) and contrabass clarinet when it's needed, at least when the parts are particularly vital and they need a solid player.
During marching season, he marched clarinet as well, becoming section leader in his junior year. He did, however, start investing in playing mellophone with the intention of going into DCI---essentially professional marching band---when he graduated. While some of the woodwinds gave him flack for starting to learn a brass instrument, they couldn't deny that he did get pretty good at it.
He is always in the band room, practicing or otherwise, and if he's there, then so is Hinata. They constantly seem to be competing about something even though there's no real basis of comparison considering they don't really play the same instruments. This does not stop them, however. Often, they will have to be yelled at to go home and get out by Daichi (and eventually Ennoshita and Yamaguchi) and their band directors so that they can also go home.
-----
#10 - Hinata Shouyou
Concert: Trumpet
Marching: Trumpet
Jazz: Trumpet
(As much as I loved the idea of giving him bari sax,) I had to give him trumpet because this kid is absolutely obsessed with DCI. He wants nothing more than to be the absolute best so that he can march out there with the best of the best. His playing style is overzealous most of the time, but he has skills built up from years of teaching himself. They are far from the conventional methods of a classical private teacher or band director (since his middle school essentially had no real band class and barely enough to keep the class on the roster). He joined jazz as just another chance to play trumpet during the day and have more pieces and charts to play. Any excuse to be playing.
He is very loud, to the point where his playing is instantly recognizable even from outside the band room. He actually struggles quite a bit to play proper swing in jazz, to Ukai's frustration. If he's ever given solos, it will be on a Latin or shuffle or any chart without a strong swing. In concert, however, he is given almost every trumpet solo under the sun, especially with Ukai picking pieces specifically to cater to giving both him and Kageyama solos and features.
Hinata takes every opportunity to try and compete with Kageyama, to the dismay of everyone around them. Made worse by the fact the underclassmen ended up with last pick of lockers and the only available ones were next to each other, they always seem to be bickering about something. Kageyama had tried to ignore it, but eventually gave into the competitive spirit, and both are known to be constantly practicing to show up the other. Every cracked note is met with a perfectly in tune melody, and every solo is met with a perfect rendition of the background part.
-----
#11 - Tsukishima Kei
Concert: French Horn
Marching: Clarinet, Mellophone
Arguably the weirdest combination of instruments, he prefers to play a few instruments that he can get really good at than be like Kageyama who is very good at a couple and pretty okay at a handful of others. He never really showed insterest in leadership, preferring to focus on himself. Being in the highest band, especially in first chair, means he constantly has to see Hinata and Kageyama, but he doesn't mind as much since Yamaguchi is also there. Why he started marching clarinet as opposed to mellophone is a mystery to most, although Yams will claim it's because he didn't want to have to hold up a brass instrument out of the field so his arms would hurt less.
Unfortunately, marching clarinet meant he had to be around Kageyama, but as long as they didn't have to sit next to each other in concert band, he was fine with being in the same section out on the field. Until Kageyama became section leader and gained some level of authority over him, which led him to switch to the standard french horn alternative: mellophone. Some called him petty, but he just shrugged it off.
His indifferent attitude---and the fact that he never seemed to be in the band room---might have led to assumptions that he didn't care, but others were not aware of the personal french horn he practices on regularly at home, away from the prying eyes in the band room. He opted, rather, to use a school-owned horn in class, only bringing his own for concerts (not that anyone paid enough attention to notice aside from his own section, but they want nothing to do with any backlash from anyone for revealing this).
-----
#12 - Yamaguchi Tadashi
Leadership: Uniform Staff, eventually Band Captain/Section Leader
Concert: Tenor Saxophone
Marching: Tenor Saxophone
While entering high school as a perhaps below average tenor sax player, he managed to distinguish himself as a very perserverant player by the time he got to his junior year. Rather than relying on natural talent, he put in the work to get to be one of the top saxophonists---not the best, but he was certainly not to be looked down upon. Especially when he made up for what he lacked instead with his leadership skills. He practically redefined the role of uniform staff (a role that initially just meant "know how to fold uniforms and check that they're put away correctly") into something that actually took initiative in managing uniforms and allocating duties.
If anyone had met him in his freshman year, they would never have said he would become such a good leader or player, but he became that regardless. He and Tsukki tended not to spend excessive amounts of time in the band room until their senior year when Yams had to be the first there and the last to leave as band captain, so Tsukki often assisted and stayed with him so he wasn't by himself once the other section leaders had left.
He actually made it a point to learn bari sax and bass clarinet (at least in terms of knowing the basics and how to transpose from concert pitch to Eb and vice versa) to be a better low reeds section leader. He may seem sweet, but he has more than earned the respect of his band---and there is a reason they don't mess with him because it can never end well. It's also how the band room is spotless by the end of every day.
-----
Shimizu Kiyoko
Leadership: Librarian
Concert: Oboe/English Horn
Marching: Front Ensemble (Keyboard)
Jazz: Rhythm (Piano/Keyboard/Vibraphone)
The absolute model student and kid in band (not to be confused with a band kid). She plays oboe and English horn in concert, but her skills from years of piano lessons still landed her on piano parts. As a librarian, she constantly organizes and finds music and makes copies for all of the bands for the band directors and even occasionally the orchestra; when Yachi also became a librarian, she did her best to train her, and they were able to split up the workload much more reasonably.
She is easily the best oboe player not just in the school but the county. Oboe and English horn solos are commonplace in the pieces that are chosen for the highest band specifically for her. In jazz, she typically plays piano or keyboard but branched out into vibraphone when percussion did their instrument rotations. In marching, she stands in the front, headphones on, playing keyboard with the rest of the front ensemble.
Despite not being on executive leadership, she is still well-respected and very rarely left out of the loop on important issues and discussions, being a somewhat honorary member of upper leadership.
-----
Yachi Hitoka
Leadership: Librarian
Concert: Flute
Marching: Flute
Jazz: Trumpet, Flute
Poor Yachi, she was not ready for how intense Karasuno's band would be and how seriously they take the program. But she quickly got used to it, practically adopted into the main group, namely when she joined jazz after her first year and became a librarian. Since there typically isn't a designated flute player in a big band set-up, she opted to learn trumpet with the help of Hinata when he found out she joined the lower jazz band as a beginner. With his help, she got to be a decent intermediate player, occasionally playing flute on the off chance a chart called for it in the instrumentation.
She became more outgoing slowly but surely, somehow suddenly ending up with friends and acquaintances in almost every section and ensemble---Kiyoko thinks it's because the boys are rubbing off on her. Becoming a librarian also really helped in learning names and faces so she can get music and dot cards to the right people. By the end of her time in high school, it seemed that everyone at least knew her name or face with how much time she spent in the band room doing homework, helping out band kids and the band directors, and keeping everything organized.
-----
Takeda Ittetsu
Position: Assistant Band Director, Orchestra Director
Teaches: Orchestra, Symphonic Winds (2nd band), Music Theory, Jazz Band (lower)
Instrument: Cello, Trombone
Band was certainly not his first calling, considering he played cello in high school. When the previous Director Ukai retired, Karasuno struggled to find another teacher to replace him, thus their orchestra director took the place for a time until he managed to track down the current Ukai. With the extent of his experience with band being the instruments he learned for his degree in Music Education, he struggled, to say the least. But with the help of the students and other staff members (and the temporary band director that filled in for a while), he made it work the best that he could. He did start to get better at trombone (the wind instrument he enjoyed the most in his college music ed classes) so he had at least some band experience.
He did a lot for the program in terms of finding places and gigs for them to perform at, adding more marching competitions to the schedule and finding more performance opportunities for the bands and individuals. Despite the couple of years of transition that led to the band program losing many members, especially experienced players who graduated, it was eventually built up again.
After he brought Ukai on board, he had more time to invest in the orchestra program like he had before while still teaching the middle level band, the lower jazz band, and the Music Theory class. His insight on and relationships with the band members was invaluable, however, to help make decisions on leadership and ensemble placements.
-----
Ukai Keishin
Position: Head Band Director
Teaches: Concert Band (3rd band), Wind Ensemble (1st band), Jazz Band (upper), Percussion
Instrument: Trombone, Euphonium
It took a lot of convincing for him to get on board with becoming a band director, but it was one of the best things that could have happened to Karasuno. Having a solid band director who had lived and breathed band when he was younger (and a father who was the previous band director at that very school for many years) was exactly what the program needed to finally rebuild. He may not be the best conductor or organizer, but he does pick challenging and achievable music to push the bands to be better. The jazz band in particular soared, many joining to get a taste of its success under new leadership. Despite not getting to choose leadership the year that he joined (that being established the year prior), he was not afraid to keep a tight reign over those that were not doing what they needed to in their positions.
Through high school, he played trombone, being a skilled jazz and concert trombonist. He picked up euphonium for concert band in late high school and college and for some community ensembles he joined. He is also very knowledgeable of marching band, helping write one of the best shows the band had had the chance to perform in years.
He teaches the lowest and highest bands as well as the top jazz band and the percussion class. Takeda makes it a point to get him to organize joint band and orchestra events in order to bring the programs closer, specifically having a full orchestra (something students from both always asked about and looked forward to) and concerts where they both perform. The jazz band also got many opportunities for gigs and other performances, and the wind ensemble got chances to be a showcase band at band events and camps on more than one occasion. Parades were also events they got chances to perform at because of him (and Takeda's persistence, of course).

How Karasuno would react to you having a tarantula
TW: My T. albo ( curly hair tarantula ) is shown
Tumblr media
Authors note: Meet Bitsy<3
Daichi & Kiyoko would find it fascinating and would constantly be asking questions , they would defnitely do research on T's and buy you another for your anniversary
Sugawara, Kinoshita, & Ennoshita hate it but admire how you view spiders despite their reputation , somehow watching you look at such hated creatures with so much love restores his faith in the world
Asahi & Hinata refuse to enter your room and freaks out when you send him pictures, they absolutely have nightmares of it getting out and just mentioning it makes the hairs on their neck stand up
Nishinoya & Tanaka act like they aren't scared but are internally screaming so when you asked if he wanted to hold it he made up excuses as to why he couldn't
Narita & Tsukishima Do research on the type of T you have, held it once while trying not to freak out , while he isn't afraid of it he's not the biggest fan
Kageyama & Yachi Are more scared of the beetles and other bugs you feed it then the spider itself, they admire it from a distance and seeing you looks so happy because of the T it changed their mindset on spiders
Ukai & Yamaguchi Hold it every chance they get, they love watching it move around the enclosure and enjoy feeding it and watching it eat, depending on the type of T you have they may feel inspired to get one themselves

little habits the karasuno boys have - second years
tanaka: rubs his hands over his shaved head because what is there is fun to mess with. chews on the ends of his pencils & sticks holes into his erasers because he never grew out of it in middle school. prays every night before a match, not necessarily because he’s religious, but because he did it before the aoba johsai practice match that first time and they won, so he kept doing it. buys the first years little snacks before school and sneaks them into their bags so they have something to eat after morning practice.
nishinoya: fiddles with the dyed part of his hair when he’s anxious. taps his foot against the ground exactly three times when he’s putting on new shoes for the first time. eats his bananas from the end rather from the stem. leans in closer to whoever’s speaking because he has minor auditory processing issues & he’s loud, so he wants to give them a visual cue as to the fact that he is indeed listening. flaps the ends of his jacket sleeves if they’re a little too long. caws back at birds in the park.
ennoshita: pinches the bridge of his nose & sighs whenever he’s irritated. paces while he’s talking on the telephone. orders the exact same drink whenever he goes to a café, regardless of whether he’s alone or with friends, to the point where the barista knows his order. cracks his neck before every single volleyball match he participates in. runs his hands over the backs of books in the library while he’s browsing. keeps his pencils meticulously sharpened. keeps dog treats in his jacket pockets to give to dogs he sees on walks.
kinoshita: picks at the edges of his water bottle stickers, and the undersides where they’ve lost their stickiness are kind of gross and gummy because of it, but he stubbornly refuses to take them off the water bottle. hums songs that get stuck in his head. twiddles his thumbs. fidgets with his pencil when he should be taking notes in class, regardless of whether or not he already knows the material. reflexively turns to look at the door whenever someone walks in or walks out of the room he’s in and sometimes gets hit in the face with a volleyball because of it.
narita: kicks his feet when he sits in tall enough chairs. quietly names things that he’s attached to, whether that be stuffed animals or plants or a stray cat that always meows loudly when he passes by the place it lives on his way home. writes poetry in the margins of his notes and gets embarrassed about it if anyone brings it up. twirls string around his fingers when he’s holding onto a balloon or is holding yarn for someone who knits. has to go to a specific stall that sells baked yam at the start of winter every year.

Karasuno takes a cooking class!
Daichi and Suga: do their best. Daichi continuously wonders how they always manage to ruin whatever dish they make. Suga knows why. He loves going to the classes with Daichi so he keeps messing up the recipe on purpose so they have to go back and keep taking classes.
Asahi and Noya: do a pretty good job! They work together nicely and try their best to make everything correctly. Noya has to repress his urge to improvise parts of the dish because he knows Asahi will be sad if all their hard work is wasted. By the end of the hour they have a few containers to leave with and have later. They try to take a lot of classes all over the world because they both love so many different kinds of food.
Tanaka and Ennoshita: both play to their strength throughout the class. Tanaka isn’t the best with anything that gets very hot. He’s burned himself accidentally countless times. Ennoshita is hopeless with chopping and knives in general. He’s accidentally cut himself countless times. So Tanaka does any cutting and Ennoshita does the cooking part. They make it work and have some fun with it.
Kinoshita and Narita: are both really good cooks. Kinoshita’s mom was a firm believer that everyone should be able to take care of themselves on their own once they grow up so she started to teach Hisashi from an early age. He enjoyed the time immensely and loves to share the fun at cooking classes with his friends. Narita just loves the process of cooking. He would help his dad make food a lot at home since he was little. All their other friends love whenever they make extra food because it’s always delicious.
Kageyama and Hinata: are absolute disasters which is a surprise to no one. They really can not explain how it went from slowly cutting celery to the oven is on fire and everything is burnt. They always force themselves to eat whatever they made and swear it’s “Not that bad Tsukishima shut up! Stop laughing!” They are banned from two local cooking classes and that number will likely only grow.
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi: prefer baking but will go to the occasional cooking class just to prove they’re better at it than the freak twins. They manage to make it almost perfectly during the class but fail miserably when they try it again without the teacher’s guidance.
Yachi and Kiyoko: have a pretty good system. Yachi spends most of the class worried that she’ll do it wrong and Kiyoko ends up doing most of the work. Yachi always feels bad afterwards so she bakes something sweet for dessert. They end up remaking the dish a few times with Yachi’s dessert as well and it always ends up being really good.
Ukai and Takeda: only took one class as a joke because someone gave Grandpa Ukai a coupon but honestly didn’t do too bad. Ukai brought Takeda in order to stop the coupon gifter from setting him up with her free granddaughter (who was happy to not have to go). They both remember how to make the dish and occasionally bring some to one another for lunch as a surprise.

Haikyuu boys and girl as love languages
Tumblr media
Synopsis- Haikyuu boys and Kiyoko as love languages featuring Karasuno pt 3 final part
Paring - Kiyoko Shimizu,Kinoshita Hisashi, and Tanaka Ryūnosuke
———————————————————————
Kiyoko Shimizu - physical touch
———
Kiyoko is definitely a example of physical touch but not in a super pda way. She knows how people perceive her. And she wouldn’t want any negative energy coming for you because of you two dating, with that being said she definitely doesn’t try to go out of her way to hide your relationship in any way. She’s a touchy person but not in a big way. For example when you guys are walking her thing is hand holding. Or like caressing your hand while talking. She gives kisses sometimes but there usual on the cheek. She definitely could fit all the love languages but she definitely enjoys physical touch the most.
———————————————————————
Kinoshita Hisashi - quality time
———
Kinoshita to contrary belief is actually extremely fun to hang out with. He’s not super random or boring so he’d plan something fun for you guys to do and it honestly could be almost anything but trust you’ll have the time of your life. It would be something cute like getting ice cream and biking to a park so watch the sunset. I feel like he does not physical touch other than hugs and kisses very scarcely. He could be other love languages but doing things with your partner is the best part of relationship to him atleast
———————————————————————
Tanaka Ryūnosuke - words of affirmation
———
Maybe at the start of y’all relationship he was acts of service but as he got more comfortable with you, learned what he really loved was words of affirmation and you definitely enjoy it too just maybe not as much as him. Compliments drive this guy crazy. He loves complimenting you and bragging about how his lover is the best. And you are ;) he’s definitively loves physical touch but he keeps it on a minimum cause he be doing too much. Like a kiss suddenly turns into making out.
———————————————————————
Fun au

❀ He is nervous at first, but soon builds up the courage telling himself that he is the man he should make the first move ❀ The poor guy keeps staring at you with eyes of adoration ❀ As he approaches you, he starts to second guess, but forces himself ❀ You gaze into his dark sleepy eyes and a soft smile creeps onto your face ❀ He tells you to meet up in his favorite place, a nice cherry tree near a little bakery ❀ He gets on one knee like the man he is and tells you how much he adores you, how you have crossed his mind time to time again, only to see your gorgeous eyes glittering back at him ❀ He pulls out a little necklace with a little charm of a pink heart because to him, this love is endless ❀ You accept his gift and you kiss his cheek ❀ He bought you a strawberry crepe for you too

❀ You are the one to make the move ❀ I mean he looks like a shy one, especially gives it away with how he wants to be better and make a difference in the court ❀ You give him the sweetest love letter and place it on his desk ❀ He can't grasp the idea of you liking him back, afterall he is horrible to impress a girl ❀ But of course, you are impressed because he tries ❀ You wait for him after classes end and take him by the hand and kiss his cheek gently ❀ When I tell you his smile lit up the place, it did ❀ He feels more confident about himself when you are around ❀ Every day, you give him nice little notes to boost his confidence, in return he does the same

❀ He loves you a ton ❀ You could say that the word friends is not how he would use to describe what he feels anymore ❀ So, he decides to make the first move ❀ He invites you to hang out at the park because it relaxes him to walk ❀ You guys talk about many things, like how he is doing in volleyball or how are you doing in the club you joined ❀ Then slowly change the topic to love ❀ You talk about how Tanaka tries so hard to catch Kiyoko's attention, or how evident it is that Michimiya has a crush on Daichi, but he is too oblivious ❀ Then he makes the move, telling you that he thinks you are amazing, how you make him go out of his comfort zone to explore things he didn't think he would like, until you showed him ❀ You tell him how you reciprocated those feeling ❀ Both of you walk home (you are neighbors), but first some ice cream
