I just can't see it. She doesn't get much page/screen time and was pretty much forgotten. Unrequited crush on her part maybe but no...just can't remember being invested in her or her interactions with Kinnikuman.

Ok so my general opinion of the women in Kinnikuman...is not good. They are, at best, throw away plot devices with no personality, or at worst, broodmares who exist only to produce the next generation and then be forgotten or treated badly once they've popped the sprog.

They all deserve better.

Bibimbap deserved better.

She was introduced as such a cool character with some real potentional even though it was obvious she would be -generic love interest-. She was then forgotten about, brought back as a lesser version of herself and then all of a sudden it was decided she was going to be Kinnikuman's queen...without any relationship developing (imo).

God she could have been great.

But no. Have her hurl herself off a frigging balcony in order for the man to grow and stuff...

ANYWAY...she deserved better. I don't ship it. Yes it's canon but...just no.

Someone save the Kinnikuman women please...

Maybe that's why I love Jaqueline so much. She's the only half decent female character (imo).

It’s a new serialization that begun in 2011, taking place RIGHT AFTER the Throne Arc. No Nisei, no time traveling whim whamming, this is straight up “ok so Super Phoenix got destroyed, Kinnikuman married Bibimba, got made 58th King of Planet Kinniku, fought that match with Terryman in that one shot, and then, 1 year and a half later, the plot continues. It’s a straight up continuation from that point, I am so happy, please read this man, I am sure you are going to love the hell out of it, we finally have what we wanted so bad.

I find so cute the fact that Suguru is so loyal to Bibimba to the point he refuses to hug other women, even though this fact is changed a bit in the Nisei manga xD - Cristy ;)

I don't think that changed in Nisei, though, if I'm honest. He's always had a conflicted and complex relationship with Bibimba, and I think that a lot is left off-screen in terms of their relationship.

He started off trying to constantly get rid of her, after all, and finding her a nuisance, before her being randomly announced as his fiancé in the 'Scramble' arc, as well as in love with her (to the extent he was willing to sacrifice everything for her, even when she lost her looks and risked her life). We never see what caused the 180.

In Nisei, I don't really recall him ever not being loyal, either. The 'worst' that happens is that he looks at p*rnographic magazines, and I think he have hugged Ms Mari (but when he saw her it was strictly platonic and to reminisce over old times). He's always had female friends, and was friends with Natsuko before he was friends with Terryman, for example, too. I'd say all of that is fine.

In terms of when he refused to hug Ms Mari in Ultimate Tag, I assumed it was less because it was a hug with a woman and more because of it's implications. He let Terryman, Mantaro, Sayuri and others hug him, but he wouldn't let Ms Mari hug him, because he knew what it meant to Bibimba . . .

Bibimba was an emotional wreck, thinking that he loved Ms Mari more than he loved her, and I think he refused to hug her for one of two reasons: 1) he did feel more for her on some level, and yet still chose Bibimba and didn't want to jeopardise that, or 2) he didn't feel more for Ms Mari, but he knew what Bibimba felt, and he knew a hug would be a betrayal to her, so he would rather risk his life - or not engage in what he knew would be a pointless act - to make his beloved happy and reassure her that she was his number one.

I mean, personally -?

If I was Bibimba, I'd be more irked by his relationships with some of the male cast . . . those seem to cross some boundaries, and I do think he prioritises friendship over family (with her falling under family). In terms of romance, though -? I think she's always been and always will be his one and only. Even before Nisei retconned Bibimba, and she was a bit of a harpy, he still showed adoration to her.

Their relationship didn’t start in the better way, i think everyone could remember how mars was cruel to jade.

But time changes things, you know? And now they’re really close.

The scene of their defeat, as a tag, is really depressing, I can’t wait to see a translation of that part.

Anyway, the one that seems really interested into the other, is jade. And i think that he really likes to hold mars’ hand😂😂 (did you notice this particular? Or it just me?😂)

Mars has cold behavior with jade (i think that is a part of his personality), but we know that he really cares about his boyfriend, since he sacrificed himself for jade’s safe (awww sad and very romantic for me😍)

They’re always together, soooo I can’t stop thinking about a possible love relation between them💕

Terry the kid/Mantaro

I see them like best friends, but their friendship is a worst version of their father’s.

They have great potential as a tag, but it seems that terry prefers robin to his best friend😂

What else can i say? Mantaro isn’t Terry’s type to me. He’s too messy for him😂

Their personality doesn’t combine for a love relation😂 (and i think that Mantaro loves Rinko or Jacqueline😂😂😂)

This ship is ok and even i’m not a big fan of it, i like it.

When a ship is canon, I can’t ignore their relationship😂 But i think that is normal.

I hate the fact that suguru left her and their child and disappeared for years, this isn’t a good behavior for someone who loves their partner.

Maybe suguru likes her but he doesn’t sees her like a wife, I remember that she was chosen by suguru’s parents and not by him.

One the other side, Bibimba really loves her husband, she is always ready to help him and she wants to be always by his side.

Anyway i really love the scene in the throne arc, where kinnikuman cures bibimba’s injures with his faces flash. This is really adorable 😊

Quick question, who do you prefer Rinko being with in a romantic relationship?

Jade.

I think it's the most reciprocal and closest to canon. I mean, there would be Chaos, but he dies sometime around the 80's/90's (I forget the precise decade), and - even if he wasn't destined to die - he would be around twenty years her senior. That wouldn't be an issue, except for the fact she is still a minor in modern day.

I don't think she'd be with Mantaro, as Mantaro/Rinko/Jacqueline very much mirrors Kinnikuman/Mari/Bibimba, and I very much think Jacqueline is meant to be his intended love-interest (there are other mirrors, too, and Nisei is effectively a 'rewrite' of the original series).

Jade, however, is both single and shows an interest in Rinko. There are a lot of times where Rinko shows an interest in him, too, and they have complementary personalities and similar interests/priorities. It seems a healthy relationship overall, and both have an intrinsic set of shared experiences, too (such as being adopted).

It's hard, personally, to see her with anyone else.
