Vontas was the former high priest of Ashion before Hazel took over the role. Vontas was extremely well respected due to how prepared for her job she was, as she actually desired the role of High Priest and had prepared for it with the proper training.

Vontas wasn’t aware she was to be replaced until the Queen introduced her to Hazel. Vontas resented Hazel deeply due to him taking her place before her time was up. She was tasked with training him for a year before she would be “retired”.

Vontas tried to remain her normal self while teaching Hazel the basics, but due to the boy never desiring this occupation, she easily got frustrated with him and hatred for him grew that a child with no desire for such an esteemed position would be given it.

Closer to Hazels day of coronation, Vontas realized just how little decision Hazel had in his own life and making choices. Upon realizing this, she also came to know the truth of what truly happened to High Priests when their reign was over.

The night before Hazels coronation, Vontas visited him, and reinforced the importance of following the rules in the enchiridion of High Priests. Then she left to the Queen, for her “retirement”.

During Vontas’s reign, she was known as “The Strict”

Carolle is the head Chef of the Ashion castle. She’s worked for the Queen for years and is undeniably loyal.

Carolle didn’t have a very important role when she was first tasked to the kitchens, but she quickly worked her way up with her knowledge of foods and her assertive attitude. It wasn’t long that she was running the kitchens.

Carolle didn’t normally notice things outside of her work, she preferred to have a focused mind on anything she worked on. However Carolle also overworked herself on many occasions.

Carolle spent one night in the kitchens trying to work on preparing recipes for a party the Queen was hosting, and found herself dozing off. When she was awoken by a maid, she recognized her and from then on, Carolle began noticing the blushing maid who always stopped by the kitchens.

It didn’t take long at all for the two to realize their feelings for one another and they got married.

Gale and Carolle had two children, Willow and Lynx. Who both work in the castle with them.

Carolle is quite stern, and has an iron fist when it comes to her kitchen. As a mother, she’s the one you would be a bit afraid to tell if something bad happened, and after a stern talking to, she’d give you a hug.

Carolle chose the name Lynx

Lynx used to work in the kitchens with Carolle, but after one too many accidents with him, she had him reassigned to work with Gale

Gale is the head maid of the Ashion castle. She’s worked for the Queen for years and is undeniably loyal.

When she first started working at the castle, her role was minor. She would occasionally pass by the kitchens to attend to her work, and that’s how she began crushing on Carolle.

She tried to make it not so obvious when she would find any reason at all to be in the kitchens, and would even be scolded for being in an area she had no need to be in.

One late night, Gale was sweeping the hallways outside the kitchens. She found Carolle inside, having fallen asleep while working on planning recipes. Stealing a few moments to gush over her while asleep, she had to wake her up, and from then on, Carolle began noticing the blushing maid who always stopped by the kitchens.

It didn’t take long at all for the two to realize their feelings for one another and they got married. Gale was promoted to head maid by the Queen, and developed a closer contact with her.

Gale and Carolle had two children, Willow and Lynx. Who both work in the castle with them.

Gale is extremely sweet and a hopeless Romantic. As a mother, she’s the one with a good sense of humour and who will give you a cookie and a kiss if you tell her you did something wrong.

Jaxith

Species: Demon/Human

Occupation: Sun Enforcer

Jaxith spent his entire life dedicated to helping his family. With many members of his family being too injured or sick to work themselves, Jaxith took the responsibility and did odd jobs around his town, while also tending to his family. When the Ashion army began recruiting, Jaxith saw an opportunity to get larger funds to support his family with.

He left his sick family in the care of the other members of his family that could also support them, and enlisted at 16. He wasn’t the most skilled in the beginning, but found himself being selected by Willow to join her squad.

Not having the responsibility of his family on his shoulders and being around others his age for once was uncomfortable in the beginning for Jaxith. It however didn’t take long for him to love the freedom of it and the company of his team. He still keeps up a responsible mind, but lets himself indulge in childish games and pranks with the others.

Jaxith is closest with Sebastian, who he was quite intrigued with upon first meeting. Although they struggle to properly communicate with each other at times, they also understand each other like no one else does. Jaxith helps Sebastian with learning how to speak the language of Ashion as well as write it. In turn, Sebastian teaches him his language.

Jaxith can control fire, and while it isn’t as strong as Rhodeia’s ability is, he still uses it effectively

Species: Siren/Human

Occupation: Sun Enforcer

Gender: Transgender Male

Sebastian was born to a Siren mother and a human male. He was raised in a strict environment as his mother was very overprotective of him to an unhealthy amount. He wanted nothing more than to leave the nest and find his own adventure as he didn’t feel very welcome amongst the other siren women. In the hopes that separating himself from his mother would help her, he left for the Kingdom of Ashion to find his own path.

Despite struggling with the native language, as he didn’t speak it, he enlisted in the Ashion army.

While in Ashion, he was quite reserved and kept to himself. He still felt like an outsider was shy to show his abilities as a siren. After being selected for a special enforcer team, lead by Willow Gustrav, he got closer with the other selected Sun Enforcer’s and finally found a place he could call home.

He’s closest with Jaxith, as the two train together due to having opposite elements they can control. Jaxith also teaches Sebastian the native tongue and how to write it, while Sebastian occasionally gives him lessons on how to speak the language of sirens.

He can control water, when he sings he can control others

Sebastian doesn’t need to be in the water all the time due to not being fully a siren, but he sleeps in a tub to be fully refreshed

He’s extremely shy and likes to hide behind his hair

Species: Fairy/Human

Occupation: Sun Enforcer

Idalia was outcast by other fairy folk in her mothers village as a child due to how large she was in comparison to other fairies. She didn’t fit into the village and was sent to live with her father.

In her fathers village, she was berated for being weak and being a half breed. Being from a small sheltered community stowed away from others made her naive and kind.

Idalia hated feeling so outcasted and weak, so at 13, she asked to enlist in the Ashion army. Her parents didn’t think she’d get past the training period, and agreed to it.

Idalia proved herself to be stronger than others truly thought, and used many things others claimed as disadvantages to her advantage. It was a surprise to her that she was even chose by Willow to join her squad.

She quickly became the “baby” of the group just because how small and innocent she was, but the others never doubted her strength. She looked up to Bridget the most due to how similar their struggles were.

After a traumatizing incident involving Cindra and the Sun Queen, Idalia was never the same. She no longer exhibited the same kindness and as before. Instead she became power hungry and liked to hurt those who would not give her the information she desired.

Idalia can use fairy magic that the others call “sparkles” and while they do sparkle, they hurt when hit with them

Species: Troll/Elf

Occupation: Sun Enforcer

Relka wasn’t happy with herself because she wasn’t as strong as the other trolls in her village, because she’s part elf. Her village constantly supported her, it’s her who doubted herself. So when the Ashion army came asking for recruits, she found that it was a chance to get stronger, and her family agreed. So at 13, Relka left her home to train.

She’s a bit out of her element when she first joins because she’s so used to working in a team. When she is selected to be a member of Willow’s squad, she finds a normality in it again as she has a group to support her again.

She spends most of her time with Rhodeia and Bridgette, but doesn’t mind the others, except being slightly wary of Hanna.

Personality wise, Relka likes to make plans before taking action. She prefers order and organization over chaos and although she’s very friendly, she’ll let you know a piece of her mind if you disrupt her organized systems.

She collects maps of the land of different times, she loves to compare the changes in the land and read maps. This makes her a good navigator

She’s much tinier than most other trolls but she’s strong as hell
