Hey there! Hope everything's going great
Sooo I had a request:
I had this thought about what if s/o and op men had a little argument on something and they decide to give silent treatment to each other for a while, they still do stuff together like going shopping for stuff with the crew but this little incident happens where a guy flirts with s/o infront of their partner and she (yep female s/o) says she's single XD
Like a headcanon on how they would react to this? It can be a funny one
I'd specifically like sabo, law, zoro and coby for this!
Thank youuuu so muchhhh if you'll do this take care! ^^ ♡
I included Ace in this as well because I love him. Sabo, Law, Zoro, Koby, Ace.
Warnings: arguments, threats, almost violence, heartbreak, hurt/comfort,
Word Count:1720
Your fights never got this bad, never got out of control like this. Normally, you were able to work it out, or at least take some time to cool down first. But you’d both been in a bad mood, both said things you shouldn’t have, both been rather stupid to be honest. It should have been a minor argument, should have been simple grumbling followed by comforting hugs and cuddles, maybe a nap. Instead, it had ended up with you both storming off in an even worse mood than you’d already been in, it had ended with you both giving each other the silent treatment, and with extremely high tensions whenever you were together. Few, if any, of your friends said anything, not wanting to get caught up in your fight or be on the receiving end of your wrath, but the tension was getting uncomfortable… well, more uncomfortable. A simple shopping trip with the others, that’s all it was. Get some supplies, look around, it wouldn’t be the two of you alone, so it’s not like it would be uncomfortable silence the entire way, you could both talk to someone who wasn’t each other. It had been while you’d been in a clothing shop, looking at various clothes that he approached you. Tall, handsome, with a gorgeous smile.
“Hey there, beautiful. Noticed you looking at these. If I may be so bold, I think this would look much better on you.” he said, holding out a beautiful dress. Running your fingers over the fabric, you smiled, you did look good in this color, maybe it was worth at least trying on.
“Tell me how I look?” you asked, taking the dress, the man following you towards the dressing rooms. As soon as you stepped out, the man was taking your hand, kissing the back before helping give you a little spin.
“You look dazzling. I was wondering, if a beautiful woman like you would perhaps join me for dinner? That is, unless you’re already taken.” he said, giving you another thousand watt smile. You hesitated for a moment. The two of you hadn’t talked in well over a week, or had it been longer? You were both too busy fuming to keep track, still stubbornly refusing to talk to each other.
“No, I’m single and I’d love to accompany you.” you said with a soft smile.
Sabo
Head immediately whips around to look at you.
Heartbroken and angry.
Single? Was this your way of breaking up with him?
Immediately marches over, tells the guy you’re actually taken and then drags you away.
Pulls you somewhere secluded so you can talk.
Totally pins you to the wall.
Calls you both stubborn and says that the fight was stupid.
He’s angry because of the guy but he’s also super scared of losing you.
Pulls you close and holds you, telling you you’re his and that he won’t let some stupid fight change that.
If you don’t apologize for the fight or want to break up, his heart will 100% shatter.
He’s lost enough, you were the ray of sunshine in his life, he can’t lose you too.
Doesn’t actually say anything though, just walks away.
You can’t tell if he’s angry or sad from the way he leaves.
Won’t talk to anyone unless necessary for days and completely avoids you.
So, so heartbroken, absolutely cries when he’s alone.
Thinks he has to be strong for the Revolutionary Army though, so will put on a smile around others.
If you both apologize.
Refuses to let you go after that, if you let him, he’ll absolutely carry you everywhere, but if you don’t, he won’t let go of your hand. At. All.
Super possessive all day.
Pulls you into his room to sleep with you.
I hope you don’t have to get up in the middle of the night, because he won’t let you go.
Seriously, wrapped completely around you, holding you tight, you just are not going anywhere.
Steals or buys all sorts of gifts for you. Anything he thinks you might like.
Even if you’re both at fault, he’s trying so hard to make up for the fight.
Law
Excuse me, what?
Straight up shambles the guy away, like as far as his room will allow.
Super duper pissed.
Demands to know why you said you were single.
If you say that you’re breaking up with him, his heart will break.
Not even kidding, will storm off to the Polar Tang, lock himself in his room and cry.
If you say someting like ‘he was acting like you weren’t together anymore’, he’ll freeze up
Had he really been that stubborn and stupid?
Shambles you both back to the ship and holds you close.
Tells you that he can’t lose you.
Surprisingly sweet. Is this really your Law? Because he’s being way too affectionate.
Absolutely makes it up to you. Takes you back out shopping, if you so much as look at something with vague interest, he’ll either buy it or steal it for you.
Takes you out to a very nice (secluded) dinner that night. Holds you close all night, like, I hope you don’t mind sleeping in his bed with his arms wrapped around you, because it will happen.
Doesn’t let you out of his sight the entire time you’re docked.
Zoro
Almost slices the entire store (and the guy) into pieces.
You’re WHAT?
So, so, so angry.
Also scared, though he won’t admit it.
Scares the guy away.
Picks you up, throws you over his shoulder, and takes you back to the Sunny.
You can’t tell if he’s more angry or hurt as he looks at you.
Simply states that you’re his.
If you tell him you aren’t and that you’re breaking up with him.
Just storms off.
Goes to his gym and starts working out to try and blow off some steam.
Spends an unusual amount of time in the gym from now on.
Can’t look at you because it hurts too much.
Still totally loves you.
He doesn’t even insult Sanji for days.
If you forgive him.
Wraps his arms around you and holds you close.
Just stays like that for a while.
Keeps an arm wrapped around you all day as you go shopping.
In so much debt to Nami now because he borrowed so much money.
Isn’t able to buy you everything you look at, but if you express any sort of desire over it, he’ll buy it.
Keeps you close for weeks. He’s training? Well, I hope you wanted to watch him work out. He’s taking a nap? You’re taking a nap too.
I hope you don’t mind sleeping in the boy’s dorm because Nami absolutely will not let him sleep in the girl’s dorm.
Koby
Immediately rushes over to you.
Are you serious? Does this mean you’re breaking up with him? He’s so, so, so, so sorry.
Completely ignoring the guy as he takes your hands in his.
Eyes are so hurt and scared and a little desperate.
Begs you to forgive him.
If you break up with him.
Absolutely starts tearing up then and there.
Quietly walks away as he starts crying. Returns to his room and starts sobbing.
Beats himself up for getting into the fight in the first place.
SO different from his usual self!
Just super quiet and downcast.
It’s like he reverted back to when he was working for Alvida but without the hope for something better.
His rank and abilities totally suffer because of how heartbroken he is.
Like, everyone is wondering, is this really the same Captain Koby?
Does eventually, sort of bounce back, but is super focused on only work.
If you forgive him.
Clings to you, just wrapps you in a huge hug, apologizing over and over.
Still crying a little but so, so relieved.
Buys. You. Everything!
Seriously, I hope you plan to look at the ground the entire time, because if you even glance at it, he’s buying it, trying to make things up to you.
Even if he knows it’s both of your faults, he doesn’t care, he feels like he needs to apologize and make it up to you.
Spoils you rotten for weeks.
A little meek around you for a bit, but does perk up and return to normal after a bit.
Cuddles with you whenever possible. Like, if he has even a minute to spare, he’s got his arms wrapped around you.
Ace
Literally lights on fire as he stalks over to the man.
Almost lights the guy on fire.
Not sure who to feel more sorry for. Ace for feeling so scared and heartbroken or the man for being so terrified.
Pulls you away immediately.
As soon as you're somewhere secluded, he wraps his arms around you and doesn’t let go.
Apologizing over and over.
Please don’t leave him, he’ll do anything, whatever you ask.
If you don’t forgive him. Stands there in stunned silence while you walk away.
100% crying.
So, so despondent as he walks back to the Moby Dick.
Locks himself in his cabin, refuses to come out.
Barely eats and Thatch has to deliver it to Ace because Ace won’t come out.
Nobody hears his sobbing, but it’s a miracle he doesn’t die of dehydration.
You were the best thing to happen to him.
You think he was depressed over his past before?
1000x worse now.
Absolutely thinks he’s trash for losing you.
Doesn’t necessarily bounce back, but returns to his commander duties again.
If you forgive him.
Holding you even tighter.
Can’t stop himself from crying into your shoulder.
So, so scared he was going to lose you.
Once he manages to gather himself together again, he takes you back to the ship.
He doesn’t buy you everything but that’s because he just wants to hold you.
You spend the entire week simply cuddling with him.
Will not let you go. Eating dinner? You’re in his lap. Sleeping? He’s holding you tightly like a teddy bear. Just relaxing? He’s cuddled up with you.
I hope you don’t need to train, because he won’t let you go long enough to do so.
Whitebeard eventually has to order him to return to him commander duties because he’s so busy clinging to you.

a/n - someone commented doing this with other characters and hell yeah I will 💪 this is part two of this!
Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, crack
…are you ok?
- he’s chillin, just chillin. It’s around 3pm in your house, and you’re coming down the stairs, nothing unusual. He was actually drinking some sake in peace. You missed a step, tumbling down the stairs, your head hitting every single metal bar in the banister.
- he scrambled to his feet, running towards the stairs seeing you fall. Mf stepped out of the way 💀 no he did not save you wtf you mean 💀 you stopped when your face slammed into the door, making a hole through the wood. He was absolutely frozen in place, what the actual fuck just happened?..
- “…are you ok?”
- you perked up, staring at the hole your face made in the door as you went over to the kitchen to grab some toast. “Oh hey Zoro!” You said with a grin before he bonked your head with his fist angrily.
- “DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!”
- “WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! NOTHING HAPPENED!”
- …
😏 thriller bark reference muahahaha I know I’m hilarious bro 🤭
- “wait did you step out of the way when I fell? You didn’t try to catch me?!”
- “WELL- I- UH…”
- Zoro died
- if Corazon isn’t falling down the stairs then you are 😭 you both are probably THE most clumsy couple of all. No one dares to compete.
- you two were walking down the stairs, going to get some breakfast. Poor Corazon was half asleep and you were half awake. You suddenly missed a step, starting to tumble down the stairs. Everything slowed before Cora literally started screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOO” in slow motion
- yes this is an action movie
- he jumped after you, reaching for you before realizing that um. He didn’t have a hand holding onto the banister, so uh. He fell with you 😭 he tried to at least cover your fall but he ended up falling on top of you as well 💀
- “Phew- at least I protected you-“
- … you’re literally beneath his big ass 😭
- “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Y/N! I’M SORRY!”
- he frantically jumped off of you, revealing you who was smushed into the wooden floor. He started shaking you by the shoulders sobbing for you to talk to him. Doffy is watching in the corner, just asking how the fuck you guys found each other.
- Corazon also passed out after a while because of all his hyperventilating- but don’t worry he’s not on top of you lmao😭
- he knows you’re clumsy, and guess what? Mf laughs at you 💀 (tysm @needys-diary for this idea 💜) killer has more sympathy than him, your own boyfriend 😭
- you’re walking down the stairs as usual when you skip a step, flipping forward and slamming your head on each WOODEN step as you fall. You stopped right in front of Kidd and Killer who both had opposite reactions..
- “Are you- ok…?”
- “BAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAGAHSGDUFHUFHFUDBDJB-“
- you got up with ease, blood dripping down your forehead which made Killer worry.. “Um, you need a bandaid for that probably.” Killer suggested. “What do you mean killer? Y/n’s fine! Of course they are!” Kidd laughed, holding you under his arm with a proud laugh as you gave a thumbs up. Kidd then looked at your face, seeing blood drip down your nose, his expression changed.
- “oh shit is that blood?”
- Killer was actually happy that Kidd was worried for you for once, but then his hopes were quickly destroyed. “Oh perfect, I need to take a picture of this bec this is the color I want my nails. Don’t move y/n.” “Ok 👍”
- poor killer
a/n - i hate Kidd 😂

Reading this while also drawing Zoro>>>>
🥹💗 fr made me blush 💞
Hi! I feel like year of the tiger prompt is so fitting for a Zoro x reader piece! maybe nsfw if you’re feeling it for that prompt? or if you wanna write some sfw fluff I would love that too! Sorry for not being specific I hope that’s ok :/ f or gn pronouns are fine :3 thank you so much
Hi baby!! I'm sorry for the waiting, but here I am with this fic! Is not NSFW since I've written several super spicy for him, but I promise it's cute :3 I hope you enjoy, and thank you for requesting! 💖🌸 ~
~ 🌸 Cherry Blossoms Over Wano Event 🌸 ~
Sfw~ Roronoa Zoro x F! Reader ~ New Year, Year of the Tiger.
tw: Perhaps a few bad words and strong topics since Reader is a courtesan.
A/n: Based on the theory of Zoro being descendant from the Shimotsuki clan. It is not stated whether he is Simotsuki or Roronoa, so you can chose. Also, this AU is about him never joining the strawhats, but living on Wano since he was little. I made it SFW cause deep inside my soul I know Zoro is still a virgin (And I have written a lot of porn for him for this event, so let him rest for a little, right? haha)
wc: 2.5K
Like this event? masterlist 🌸~
“Auch, don’t pull that much from my hair!” you protest, as your friend is getting you ready for the celebrations of the Lunar New Year. “Stay still, I wanna add a little detail…” she mumbles, including a hair pin -and of course, pricking your scalp with it-.
Truth is you look stunning, your typical clothes and the beautiful make up are perfect for the parade. You and your girls will march right in front of the beautiful dragon, carrying paper lanterns to light up the way of the streets of the Flower Capital.
New year’s celebrations always come with Moon pies and delicious other foods, a final firework show, music and typical dancing. There will also be demonstrations from the young Samurai and that’s something most of the girls are waiting to see for the night...
The music announces the moment you should start walking through the main street, it’s a cold night, but sake tints red many noses and cheeks. The laughter of the crowd during festivals feels special, as if nothing really mattered for at least one night.
Your crimson kimono flows with the cold winter breeze of Wano, and the pin your friend included on your hair chimes magically. Young and not so young men look at you, scanning the ladies from head to toe, and frankly a disgusted shiver runs through your spine.
The vibrant reds and goldens from the articulated dragon dance right behind you, cheering up the crowd, stopping its march for some minutes and moving it’s little nuzzle towards the people so many can touch it and pray for good luck in the new year that’s beginning.
The more you walk, the more you are expecting to get to the place where the samurai and his warlords wait for their annual demonstration on their katanas’ skills. They are usually sitting all next to each other, wearing black yukatas covered in typical armour. Kabuto that make them look like bugs, Sodeover their shoulders, even the Kasazuri around their waist.
And there they are, you can’t see their faces because they are all watching to the ground, respectfully blocking any distractions from their calm and cantered state of mind. And of course, a girl like you is indeed a disruptive image for their constant meditative condition.
But tonight there is a new surprise… a samurai without armour, and actually, without a warlord… a young ronin.
He is not sitting, he doesn’t need to obey. His hair is green, and fluffy, almost like those moss balls that usually float in the ponds of the forest. Caramel skin, slightly tanned, clean face but an eye closed, crossed by a scar. He imposingly stands, arms crossed, serious facade. Three katanas attached to his right hip, that’s something you only saw once in an old textbook… a man, called Shimotsuki.
The ronin is not even interested in looking at the parade, but more on now trying to open a bottle of sake. The lantern on your hand, bathes his face in a subtle red tint and while he chugs his alcoholic elixir, his mandible, so sharp and manly, shows and with it three golden earrings hanging from his left earlobe.
“I’m gonna make you my wife!!” a despicable drunk bastard shouts from the crowd, exactly in front of the ronin. “You, the one who wears the tiger hairpin! How much do you cost?!” he keeps shouting as you wait, impatiently now, to keep walking the very first moment the guys moving the dragon behind you start walking again.
Many other men laugh at you, apparently the feeling of being degraded to a mere thing you could buy makes them happy and excited. But in your heart, you could only feel a void, and in your stomach, disgust.
“Come on!! Look at me! Tell me how much is your price” the man insists, coming closer to you, with filthy hands so ready to touch you.
Fast, so fast a green cape passes before your eyes. An aura making you so weak, a strong man right before you. His back so wide, veiny hands, thumb so ready to slightly push the scabbard of a white katana off, even the steely scent coming from the blades...
“Z-Zorojuro” the man says with a trembling voice, scared, slowly walking backwards and stepping on some weak men laying on the floor. Your fellow courtesan friends hug each other, the menacing presence of that swordsman is enough to make people feel terrified.
But, the Yakuza, seeing how everybody starts to mumble about how a coward he is being, fires back. “You disgusting Ronin, you are nobody, I’m surprised our Shogun hasn’t killed you yet! Where is your family, huh? DEAD. Your clan was sh-”
A red glare invades the green haired man’s argentum eye, the blade of his katana lingers over the jerk’s neck, bloodthirsty, ready to slice flesh and even bones. Time freezes, people do too.
If he did this, in the middle of the festival, defending you… you would be killed the moment you put a foot in the pleasure house…
The red lantern ends on the floor, slowly being consumed by the flame of the little candle inside. “Zorojuro, it’s ok” you mumble, your fingertips feeling the tightness of his forearm’s muscles. You have taken the risk of stopping this man from killing that bastard by grabbing his arm. “I’m already yours, you are my master, no man could buy me anyway” you say, fixing your eyes on his glare that’s now piercing your soul with.
Hoping you wouldn’t end with your head sliced up, you keep looking at him begging to stop for the sake of both.
“This is bitch is yours already? Ugh, no way I’d buy an already used whore, even less if it’s from this Shimotsuki scum”
Zoro’s mandible gets even tenser, neck muscles twitching while he rests on your soothing look. “Stop, Mr. Samurai” you think, and communicate those words by never taking your gaze off from him.
Slowly, like a tamed beast he puts back his sword. The sound of the blade finally clicking it’s hilt with the scabbard allows the time to resume going by, people breathing back again. The tense ambient yet, still persists.
“Uh, yeah” he mumbles, grabbing you from your waist and pulling you closer. Strong aura still around him, aura people would say feels demonic.
A peculiar scent of steel invades your nostrils, the way his yukata opens over his chest shows a crossing scar that goes deep into his body. His arm around your waist feels so strong, protective, caring… but also menacing, a feeling that makes you feel weak, weak and aroused.
He gives a last look at the man in front of him, making the bastard fall into his knees -and probably wet his pants, if he hasn’t done it yet by now-. “Let’s go” he says and starts walking with you in between the crowd. You take a look at your friends, they are still trembling, amazed how you were able to stop him.
“(Name), what should I tell Kyoshiro about this?” one of the girls from your pleasure house asks, before you get lost into the crowd.
“Tell him, Zorojuro has bought her” the green haired ronin says, before you are able to speak a single word.
The sound of crunchy dried leaves resonate during the night taken over what until a few meters away was all revelry with music and sake, the icy moon over both of you illuminates the path. You are not sure if you shiver because of a cold February night or by the glacial solemnity with which the Ronin walks a few centimetres ahead of you.
“Thank you so much, Sir. Should I address you with a special name?” you ask, shy but trying to acknowledge him.
“Me? Zoro it’s ok” he says, straightforwardly, perfect profile bathed by the moonshine.
Out of words, you keep looking at him, the chiming of his earrings and his gruff voice sound like a beautiful melody, his wide frame like the embodiment of a God.
“Are you something like a prince, Zoro?” you dare to ask, because frankly you want to know more about him. That bastard said he is from the Shimotsuki clan, rulers of Ringo until Orochi and Kaido took over.
“Prince?” he laughs, what a beautiful laugh. “I am from the Shimotsuki clan, yes. But I don’t remember anybody, my whole family was killed when I was 2 years old” he says, with a little hint of pain in his voice.
You close your eyes in a clear sign of pity, how much pain and despair Orochi has caused, and how many atrocities were committed because of Kaido’s power…
But, as much as you’d like for this walk to last forever, you should get going. He has helped you enough already, and it’s time to hide somewhere until they forget about you missing at the pleasure house.
You walk faster to get next to him and caress his forearm softly as he rests his palms over the hilt of his three katanas. “Sir… I mean, Zoro… I’m gonna get going, thank you so much for what you have done for me. If there is something I could do to pay you, sir, please tell me”.
Zoro stops, his face seems troubled. “Where are you going?” he asks, really confused and you start thinking about the fact that he wasn’t lying when he said that he bought you. “Uh you are free to go, of course, but are you going to be safe?” he adds, clearly showing you you are more than free of doing whatever you desire yet still caring for your integrity.
Having absolutely no place to run to, you were planning on passing the night under a tree or perhaps some abandoned minka in the case you found one. “I- don’t know” you mumble, embarrassed, looking at the ground.
“Then come with me, I can sit outside so you are more comfortable sleeping inside. It’s ok with me” he says, showing you that even if he looks like a rough guy, perhaps with no fancy manners, he is indeed a gentleman.
“You can sleep inside too, Zorojuro. I know you won’t hurt me”
The crunchy leaves on the floor have turned to snow an hour ago, the region of Ringo salutes you with its white immensity and the icy surfaces shine with the moon light, just like the rulers of that land, the Shimotsuki or frozen moons.
You know that’s where a big cemetery is. People say that the climate there is so cold and severe that’s the perfect place to bury a dead body, and now you are sure they are right. The graves and the katanas that rest next to them are all covered by a thick mantle of white, as cold as Zoro’s stare.
“This is where you live, Zorojuro?” you ask, trying to mutter the chattering teeth you got by the cold. “Indeed, are you cold? Take this” he says, taking his green cape off and covering you with it. Of course it is way bigger than you, so you are able to snuggle inside comfortably.
“T-thank you, sir” you whisper, allowing the sweet scent of his body to fill your lungs. Again, the steel scent mixed with some body odor that’s far from being disgusting, makes you feel weird things inside your lower belly.
His cabin looks minimalist -at best-. Zoro has almost no furniture, yet, some bottles of sake garnish the floor. Of course, you are sure that he lives completely alone, no lucky lady nor a man accompanies him whatsoever. A single futon on the ground, some cozy blankets and a simple kitchen next to it. The fire starting to burn as he lights it up to heat the ambience.
“Do you want something to drink?” he offers you, while you scan the place without speaking. “Oh… uh- yes” you nod, not really in the mood of drinking, but surely accepting whatever comes from this man.
He gives you a cute white cup with green bulls painted over the porcelain full of green tea, and there you were thinking he would give you booze. You are too used to dirty men wanting you to get drunk to do something to you, that you thought bad of him.
You nod, while drinking the hot beverage, looking at him doing the same trying to supress the giggle as the cup is too tiny for his big hands. And what beautiful and strong hands he has.
“These cups are really pretty, Zoro” you mumble, inspecting the green bulls surrounded by petals of cherry blossoms painted in them. “They are? I found them here when I came back… I guess they were the emblem of this family” he mumbles, breaking your heart by the way he sighs when telling you so. “I see…” you whisper, fidgeting the porcelain with care.
Some minutes pass in complete silence, and you are sure a tiny little white fox is playing in the snow outside while you look through the only window to pass the awkward time. None of you say anything until Zoro decides it’s a good time to stretch and yawn -loudly-.
“So, are you sure you don’t want me to go outside? It’s fine, I’ve endured the cold already” he says -brags-. “It’s ok, it’s your home you can st-” you utter, getting completely mouth shut by him kissing you, all of a sudden.
You open your eyes, widening them more and more, realizing the kiss he planted in your lips was as clumsy as pure as possible. When he breaks it, you are still in awe, looking at him blinking in confusion.
“What- what was that?” you ask, not mad but curious.
“Uh… that’s what my friend Sanji told me you do when you wanna say “happy new year” to a beautiful girl” he tells you, also confused because you were actually asking.
That friend of you was trying to play you, Zorojuro… you think, giggling a little, but immediately smiling at his sweet ignorance.
“Is that so? then let me give you another one to tell you happy new year! You actually look like a sweet tiger, so it’s perfect for the Year of the Tiger”
No need for further words, kissing so chastely you slowly fall into the futon on the floor. You crawl up to his chest, and he, clueless, passes his arm around you. Maybe if you wanted you could have corrupted him, but was it really what you needed?
No… you just needed a place to rest for the night, and his chest felt exactly like that warm shelter you were looking for, for so long.
What a pure innocent soul he held inside… The green haired Ronin was a new year’s miracle.
“Happy Lunar New Year, Zorojuro” you whisper, kissing his cheek. “Happy…” he mumbled, as he slowly drifted into sleep… ❤~

nightmares
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Pairing: Zoro x Reader
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“Nami, stop!” Running with as fast of a pace as you could manage, you chased after Nami, crying out for her to stop. She was heading straight into a trap—but why wasn’t she stopping? Why couldn’t she hear you? And God, why did your side hurt so fucking bad?
A jolt of pain caused you to fall to your knees, scraping them and your shins against the rough cobblestone road. Your hands went to your side, pressing down hard, and you looked down.
Red. There was so much red.
Tears fell from your eyes as if they were a waterfall, and you shrieked in utter agony and fear. You didn’t have the strength to stand. You didn’t have the strength to move at all.
Barely managing to lift your head back up, you gazed on as Nami got overpowered by the devil fruit users that attacked the crew. You glanced to your right—there was Chopper, laying in a pool of his own blood, body small and misshaped. You glanced to your left—there was Franky, lying still, limbs missing.
Dazed in shock from what was going on around you, and from the pain in your abdomen, you hardly registered when two hands fell on either side of your head. Someone was standing behind you. However, you did feel when they twisted your neck, and with a quick ‘snap,’ the pain was gone.
Thud.
You gasped and wheezed, pushing your upper body up off the floor. Sweat was dripping down your face, and your body was soaked in it. Slowly, you managed to piece together that no, you weren’t dying in battle. You were in your cabin, you had just rolled off of your bunk, and you were in your underwear—no bloody clothes and no fatal flesh wounds.
Your shoulders hurt from the fall, but this was much better than a nightmare.
Groaning, you began to stand up. It was hot. You were thirsty. Why did the kitchen have to be so far away? I need to ask Franky to put some mini-fridges in the rooms, you mused.
You grabbed a robe off the hook on the wall, and wrapped yourself in it as you left your cabin quarters. It was cool outside, and it was a welcome change. You took a few deep breaths.
In… out. In… out. Someone please make my heart stop beating so fast.
“Can’t sleep?”
You squeaked in surprise, stumbling a bit while you whipped around to see Zoro. He was sitting while leaning against the main mast that led up to the crow’s nest, a slight flush on his face that was a little damp. You eyed the bottle at his side. “Yeah…” you muttered. “Are you training? This late at night?”
He just shrugged. “Can’t become the greatest swordsman if I don’t make time to train.”
“Training? With booze?”
“Mind your business. Gotta practice being battle-ready under any condition.”
You huffed, pulling your robe tighter around you while you moved to sit down beside him. Zoro silently picked up the bottle and gestured it towards you, and you chose to take it. You put the bottle to your lips, took a gulp, and groaned as the alcohol burned down your throat. “I don’t drink much.”
“Oh yeah?” Zoro mumbled as you handed him back his liquor. “Good. It’s not good for you.” A few silent moments passed while the swordsman placed his attention on your heavy eyes. He gestured towards your face, hand still holding the bottle. “You’re tired. You look like you’ve been crying.” You sighed, then placed your head on his shoulder. “Bad dreams. I’ll be alright.”
Zoro tensed up slightly, but didn’t move to get you off him. Mr. Rough-and-Gruff had a soft spot for his crew, and maybe more so for you. “I have strong friends,” you whispered. “I don’t have to worry about any of them, especially not the king of hell right here.” Zoro chuckled. “No, definitely not.”
You two stayed there, quiet, and comfortable in the moment. Neither of you remember when you two dozed off to sleep, lying against the mast.
*_______*_______*________*
Nami yawned and stretched, still shaking off her sleep as she left her quarters as the sun rose. She had to go find Robin, and Robin had been on night watch, so Nami was heading towards the crow’s nest.
What Nami was surprised to see, was you and Zoro sound asleep on the deck. Your head was still on his shoulder, and your legs were up against the side of him while his arm was around your waist. She smiled.
Nami turned her head as she heard the door to the kitchen slam open. There, in the doorway, stood a very pissed off Sanji. Wasting no time, Nami rushed him, placing her hand against his mouth and pushing him back into the kitchen. She listened as Sanji shouted a bunch of obscenities—“Damn that mosshead! Defiling a princess! His hands shouldn’t be on such an angel! It’s a crime against humanity!....”
Nami laughed at him. What a sore loser.

vampire shenanigans (Straw Hats + Ace, Law, Kaku)
featuring - Zoro x F!Reader, Ace x F!Reader, Law x F!Reader, Usopp x F!Reader, Luffy x F!Reader, Kaku x F!Reader, Sanji x F!Reader
summary - your crew's stop at a nearby island takes a dark (but also kind of funny) turn when the town's vampire king tries to make you his wife. your boyfriend is NOT amused.
warnings - none
a/n - one of my stupid, random ideas
You were bad with directions. Because while everyone had been exploring the new island you'd stopped at, you had somehow gotten yourself lost. And found yourself deep in the woods, in front of an evil-looking castle that practically oozed danger. It was obvious enough to you not to go in, but before you could turn and walk away your vision went dark.
ZORO
"Wait, where's (Name)?"
Zoro was the first to notice your absence when the group met up in the town square, looking around worriedly. Even he and Luffy had found their way here before you, which never happened.
"Maybe she lost track of time?" Robin suggested. "She's probably in one of these shops."
After a while of looking around and asking shopkeepers about you, though, they had no luck finding you. Until a pale, eerily skinny girl came running from the forest, attracting the townspeople's attention.
"The king has chosen his bride!" She cried out, then collapsed.
The Straw Hats were confused. What happened to her, and who was this 'king'? Also where did she come from and why did all the villagers look frightened by her words? Questioning a few of them yielded nothing except 'vampire'.
"Wait a minute..." Nami started, frowning. "That must be (Name)!"
"What?" Zoro demanded, almost growling.
"Well, think of it, she's been gone so long and it's odd for her to be the last one to come back. Maybe that's because she was kidnapped by this king."
"Oh hell no," Zoro grumbled, "He is NOT marrying MY girlfriend. Only I can do that."
Before the other Straw Hats could even react to that, the green-haired swordsman was trudging up the hill and entering the forest. They hastily followed, giving each other uneasy looks as they got to the spooky castle.
"Give me back my woman!" Zoro was yelling at someone, "The only person who's going to marry her is me!"
Your eyes widened at his words, a blush falling over your cheeks as you watched your boyfriend challenge the annoyed vampire beside you.
I'm pretty sure we all know who wins this fight. An angry Zoro is NOT to be trifled with, after all.
"So, you're going to marry me huh?"
Zoro's cheeks turned slightly pink, "Someday, yeah."
ACE
The minute Ace lost sight of you, he flew into a frenzy. He was panicking like he'd lost a child, running all over town looking for you. He knew of your tendency to get lost, and it always scared him. Especially when he took his eyes off you for one second and then looked back to see you had vanished. The poor man wants to cry when he doesn't find you anywhere, and Marco has to calm him down and assure him that they will find you.
A nearby couple talking in hushed tones caught Ace's attention, as well as the fact that they kept glancing at him and Marco not-so-secretly. He went over to them.
"Hi, have you seen a woman with-"
"She was taken by the vampire king," someone behind them spoke. The couple rushed off, frightened by the newcomer. Ace turned to see a young woman coming towards him and Marco. She held an umbrella over her head, despite the sun being out.
"Um...vampire king?" The commander questioned.
"He takes a woman once every few years, marries them and turns them, and then leaves them," she explained. "So if you've lost your friend and can't find her anywhere in town, that must be where she is." The woman's tone was sad, as if she knew this from experience.
"Thank you," Ace nodded and sprinted off before Marco could protest or suggest telling Whitebeard what happened.
"Ace! You don't even know where he lives!"
Somehow, Ace found the place and by the time Marco had caught up with the pissed 2nd division commander he saw Ace challenging a man who was holding you hostage. This must have been the vampire king.
"Give her back!" Ace was aggressively demanding, flames dancing along his arms and legs, his eyes just as fiery. "If she's going to be anyone's wife, she'll be my wife!"
You blushed HEAVILY at that. You and Ace had spoken a lot about marriage, but you hadn't thought he was serious about it. Your heart warmed at the thought, and once he had taken care of the king - fire was a pretty convenient weapon against vampires - you immediately kissed him when he came close.
"There's only one person I would ever say yes to, Ace. And that's you."
LAW
You had split off with Bepo to find something to gift Law for your anniversary. When the bear came running back to Law with tears streaming down his face, the doctor knew the worst must have happened. And it was only confirmed when Bepo repeatedly apologised through his tears before finally telling Law you had been kidnapped.
"Kidnapped?" The surgeon frowned. "By who?"
"I couldn't see him very well," Bepo was sobbing, the poor bear, "But he was tall and pale. With red eyes."
Law cursed. He knew what that might mean, and he felt ridiculous putting you and his crew in this position in the first place. He had, for once, forgotten to check what island this was, and now you were paying the price for his negligence.
"Come on, I know where she is."
The crew followed their captain through the forest, getting frightened by the spooky atmosphere but still trudging through. You were one of them, after all, and that was their motivation. Especially Bepo and Law. The captain was practically fuming, and steam would have come out of his ears if possible. How dare someone kidnap you? Was this stupid vampire king not aware of who you were with?
It was almost as if he sensed Law's presence, because the doors swung open for the Heart pirates to enter. They found you in the dining room, you looking relieved to see them and the vampire smirking smugly at Law.
"A pretty thing, you had," he began, "Such a shame she's mine now. But I am generous, so I'll let you stay for the wedding."
Bepo was outraged, but Law held him back, "Wedding? I haven't planned one with her yet, but I appreciate you letting us use your facilities for it."
Your face turned beet-red, never having expected to hear that from Law. He 'room, shambled' the vampire and then quickly walked over to you.
"Are you okay?"
You smiled up at him, "I'm perfect."
"That you are," he smiled back and kissed your cheek, a rare display in front of the crew just because he was so relieved you were okay.
KAKU
You and Kaku had just been trying to have a nice vacation. But you should have really done your research first, because apparently women disappeared a lot on this island, but the islanders wouldn't tell Kaku why or where you had gone. He remained calm on the outside, but internally he was panicking and freaking out completely. How had he lost you??
He searched everywhere in the town, but found nothing. You were nowhere in sight, as if you had just vanished into thin air. One moment you were next to him, the next you were gone. You might have wandered off, but to where??
"Go look in the forest," someone spoke from beside him as he looked again through a store window. "She might be there."
He turned to look at who had spoken, and found himself facing a very scary looking woman. She might have been scary because she looked like all the blood had been drained from her body, and her skin was paler than any normal human's.
Kaku wanted to ask why she looked like that and how she knew where you were, but decided that finding you took top priority. He thanked her and went off to the forest, and it wasn't long before he realised the answers to the questions he wanted to ask that lady.
He was standing in front of a gothic castle, one that looked like it belonged to a vampire - and Kaku soon found out it did.
"I can't give her back," the vampire said coolly, smirking, "She is my bride."
Kaku glared, a sight so scary you'd hid your face the first time you saw it. Kaku was normally cute and shy, but when he got angry and when he glared he was the scariest person in the world. It was probably the unhinged look in his eyes.
"She will be no one's bride but mine," the CP9 assassin growled, drawing his swords.
It was a very intense fight, but you only had one thing on your mind. When Kaku tossed the ripped off head of the vampire aside, making sure to light it on fire, he turned only to have you crash into him and engulf him in a hug.
"Your bride, huh? I look forward to it."
SANJI
God help anyone who tries to marry you with this guy around. Even if said person was an immortal being capable of draining his body of blood. But he didn't know that's what the crew faced, when you suddenly just didn't return from a store you had gone to look at. Everyone had split up to explore, but you hadn't come back yet and Sanji was getting agitated.
"I'm sure she's fine," Chopper tried to assure him, "(Name) can handle herself."
An old man suddenly came up to them then, looking so sad that Sanji almost gave him a hug.
"Your friend is gone," he spoke dejectedly, "He comes and takes any woman he chooses, and you never see that poor girl again." Then he walked off, as if what he'd said had made perfect sense.
"Um..."
Sanji looked around, trying to see if anyone looked suspicious, until something caught his eye from the forest. As if drawn to it, he suddenly went in that direction and found himself in front of a very eerie castle a few minutes later.
"(Name) is in there?"
"Who dares talk about my bride?"
"EXCUSE ME?!" Sanji yelled. "THAT IS MY GIRLFRIEND!"
"I think not," the vampire finally showed his face, pulling you along, "She will marry me and become my wife."
"If (Name) is going to marry anyone it's going to be me!" Sanji cried and then attacked.
Once that was over, you went over to him and grinned, "Marriage, huh? I didn't think playboys had that in their vocabulary."
"Oh, ha ha," he replied sarcastically, sweeping you into his arms and peppering your face with kissed, "I mean it, you know."
You smiled, "Good, cause I want it."
LUFFY
I'm going to be honest with you, Luffy is lost with you too. He sticks to you like actual glue, so it's no surprise when he ends up by the castle with you. The only difference is that he's knocked out and left outside, while you were taken inside to face god-knows-what. When Luffy finally woke up, the rest of the crew was surrounding him.
"Luffy, what happened?" Chopper asked, concerned as he checked Luffy's vitals and made sure he was okay.
"I don't know," the captain frowned, "(Name) and I got lost, and came here to this creepy castle. Then I woke up now."
"Wait, so you don't know what happened to (Name)?!" Sanji panicked. "You idiot, you were supposed to protect her!"
Zoro glared at the cook, "Calm down, stupid cook. Take a look at this castle, something weird lives in there."
Luffy's eyes widened then, realising just now what he had said. He shot to his feet, head whipping around wildly as if that would help him locate you, "Where's (Name)?! Is she in there?"
The crew groaned collectively, knowing that Luffy was about to get them into possibly another life-threatening fight. However, before that could happen, the doors swung open and you walked out, but you were not alone. A tall, pale man was with you, a wicked grin on his face as his eyes gleamed red.
"Say goodbye to your friends, my bride."
"Bride?!" Nami and Sanji screeched in unison, followed by Sanji fainting.
"(Name) is not your bride!" Luffy argued, clenching his fists. "She should not be forced to marry you! She should be able to marry who she wants to, and that will be me!"
Your heart swelled at his words, and when he had gotten rid of your captor you walked over and kissed his cheek, "You're right, it will be you."
USOPP
"(Name)? (Name)!"
The crew found Usopp spinning in circles and frantically calling your name, as if summoning you through some weird ritual. They all raised their eyebrows, waiting for the sniper to stop and notice them.
"Oh, hey guys! Have you seen (Name)?" He asked them, his eyes wide with panic. "I think I lost her."
"You think YOU WHAT?!" Sanji yelled, eyes blazing.
Usopp laughed nervously, backing away slowly, "I swear she was just right next to me! Hurry up and help me find her!"
That didn't take long, because when they wandered into the forest and found a creepy castle, Luffy pulled them all inside and said you must be hiding in there. More like kidnapped, which is what they found out when they walked in on you sitting at a very very long table, across from a very very pale man with glittering red eyes.
"V-v-v-" Usopp couldn't even get the full word out of his mouth. "What are you doing with my girlfriend!" He took aim at the vampire.
The vampire laughed and dusted himself off, "She's not your girlfriend anymore, sadly. She is mine. And tomorrow, we shall be wed in front of the entire town."
Usopp's blood boiled. People and monsters alike could walk all over him if they wanted to, which they did, but you were a different story. When it came to you, hell hath no fury like an angry, protective Usopp.
A barrage of exploding stars is what led the vampire to his unexpected end, his cockiness getting the better of him.
Usopp glared at his burning body, "Sorry but the only person who can wed this pretty woman is me. And it'll be in front of our crew."
You beamed and threw your arms around the sniper, kissing him passionately, "Agreed."

Napping and Defending Friends
Pairing: Sanji x Straw hat!reader
Characters: Straw hat!reader, Sanji, Usopp, Zoro, Nami, Monkey D. Luffy, Kaya
Warnings: Sanji being sanji, everyone outing reader or sanji to the other, this is kinda cute, fluff, everyone is nosey as hell, everyone is tired of Sanji and reader going around one another's feelings, the last few lines with the crew make me giggle, reader is (not so secretly) a pirate with her own bounty 0-0
Word Count: 2,688
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You roll your eyes, listening to the two acting like children. You bump the green haired man to the side with your hip. "Shut up already. You two are acting immature for your age." You lift your plate. "I'll take more."
Sanji shakes his head to the left, moving his bangs away from his eye. He lifts the ladle, giving you a decent portion. "And I'll gladly feed those who enjoy my food."
Zoro rolls his eyes, leaving you two to flirt some more.
-
The sound of Usopp's voice explaining what happened drew you all in, moving closer to listen to him.
You stop mid bite to listen. "I would ask to see his supposedly bloody fingers," you shrug. "But, whatever."
"Let him have his moment," Nami mutters.
"But it's more fun to get him stuttering if I make him tell the truth. It's very easy to break him into confessing."
"And I couldn't do it alone."
"Damn right you couldn't," you tell him, earning a chuckle from the group and your crew.
"Yeah, yeah."
"Let's hear it for the great captain Usopp," Luffy shouts.
Your lips tug to the side, "that's so not going to give him an ego boost."
Sanji chuckles, covering his mouth with his hand when Nami and Zoro turn to face him.
His eyes glance at you from the corner of his eyes and smiles, his heart races and stomach flutters at the sight of you (not so gracefully) scarfing down the food he cooked.
-
The calm mood falls when Luffy's grandpa announces he and the marine’s arrival.
"Hey, gramps."
He narrows his eyes at you, never quite taking a liking to you like his grandson did.
Although, he did find comfort in the fact that the rubber man had someone to help and guide him (which is why he disliked you). It also didn't help that you would feed into his "becoming the future king of the pirates" dream.
Before you know it, the two family members are in battle.
Your anger gets the better of you and you forget what you've been proud to consider a usable future trait, think before doing. "Don't hurt, Luffy."
As your friend flies back, you manage to latch onto the man, his head between your hands with just a mere few inches keeping his spinal cord intact.
His nails scratch the top of your hands, the adrenaline keeping you from feeling the pain.
You try to slip your feet underneath his armpits to pull his arms back and away from you.
"Stop it," Luffy mutters, still trying to get air into his lungs.
"Huh?"
"Let go of him."
"But he-"
"This is my fight."
You grumble under your breath as you push yourself off him and if your foot accidentally finds its way into his back, oh well.
The old man grumbles the pain.
You glare at his grandpa during their fight, never letting your tense posture go.
Sanji's hand hovers over your shoulder, he hesitates to give you some sort or comfort; his hand falls beside him as the orange haired girl takes a step-in front of you, preventing you from slipping past them.
"This was all a test?"
"Go. Arlong's pirates are still on the island."
You scoff. "Now you don't want to be a dick."
The chef coughs to hide his amusement.
"Shut up."
"You can't tell me what to do Roro Zoro."
"I told you not to call me that."
You stick your tongue out at him.
"Children, I'm dealing with children," Nami mutters.
Sanji shoves his hands into his pockets.
-
You sit across from the stove, observing the chef's knife skills.
"The harder you stare, the more likely he is to mess up," a deep voice brings you out of your thoughts.
"Do you want to try and do it?" You ask, resting your hand on your knuckles.
"You can't match his skill."
"You are too kind, madame."
"It's true. I still don't even know how you can do this, and I've been watching you prepare the vegetables for a while." You steal a chopped veggie and snack on it when the rubber man bursts in, setting a piece of paper on the counter.
"You finally got your own poster."
"Yeah, no more piggybacking off you."
"WHAT?"
"Nothing, look at the amount of berry's your wanted for."
"I know."
"Everyone's going to be after you now," Zoro tells him.
"Every bounty hunter is going to be after all of us in the East Blue," Nami adds.
"Finally, a challenge."
The orange haired girl shakes her head at you.
"Then it's a good thing we're not staying in the East Blue," Luffy explains.
You clap once. "Finally, you make sense. Let's go."
"Yes!" Luffy raises his hand for a high five which you gladly give to him.
"Come on, people. We're settin' sail. Move it."
-
"Have you seen a barrel on deck?"
Your brows knit together. "Sanji, did you find a plant you shouldn't have?"
"No, I-" He chuckles, "no, no. I just- I have an idea." He calls for the others and everyone gathers around. He sets his foot on top of the barrel. "I am gonna find the all blue."
Next, naturally was your oldest friend, "I'm gonna become king of the pirates."
Zoro puts his foot up. "I'm gonna become the world's greatest swordsman."
And then, Nami. "I'm gonna draw a map of the world."
Followed by Usopp. He hesitates, unsure of what his promise should be. "I'm gonna be a brave warrior of the sea."
Now everyone's eyes fall on you. "Oh, it's my turn. Uh- I don't know what to say. I feel like I've gotten things I didn't know I needed."
"There has to be something," Luffy says.
You lift your leg, "I'm gonna promise never to forget who I am."
"That's too easy."
A faux chuckle escapes you. "It's easy to forget who you were and your code," you tell Luffy.
"Alright."
"I like it," Sanji says.
"Thank you. See I knew someone would." You stick your tongue out at the rubber man. "That's enough. I'm going back inside. I need a nap."
"I can get started preparing tonight's dinner." He basically skips after you.
"I hope they figure out whatever they have going on soon," Usopp shakes his head. "It's getting really..."
"Annoying," Zoro adds.
"It's not- it could be worse."
"How much worse than two people going around their feelings for one another." Nami raises a brow causing the storyteller to look away because he did the exact same thing with Kaya.
"That's not what we're talking about right now." The man pouts and walks inside, not wanting to be outed anymore.
"Has anyone else noticed how easily he follows her after she hugged him."
"Yeah," Luffy nods, agreeing with the storyteller. "Wait- what hug? They hugged and I missed it. Oh man."
Nami shakes her head, "is that what you're really focusing on right now?"
"Yes. I think he'd be good for her."
"You do?"
"Clearly he hit his head too hard during that fight with his grandpa," Zoro adds.
"We probably should've checked to see if he had a concussion before boarding," Nami says.
"Why are you guys talking like I'm not even here?"
The three shared a look and chuckled.
"C'mon, guys. Tell me, please?"
-
You wake up from your nap to the smell of well-cooked food. You're still pleased Sanji decided to join the crew, it was time there was someone (else) who could prepare a nicely cooked meal and not burn eggs or not know how to cut a vegetable.
You lean against the doorway, enjoying the pleasant aroma of food coming from a few feet away.
"You're awake."
You open your eyes, not realizing you closed them. "Yes, I was persuaded to get out of bed because of what you're cooking."
"Is that the only reason?" He teases.
"Ask me again after I've finished my meal."
"Will you have a different answer?"
"Maybe."
He glances up from the ingredients he's mixing as the corner of his lips tugs upwards.
"In the meantime, I'll be over here with my eyes closed."
"Napping again?"
"No, just resting my eyes."
"If that's what you say, then I believe you."
-
"Is anyone going to wake her up?" Luffy asks, munching on his meal.
"Why can't you do it?" Nami asks, "she's your friend."
"And?"
"What are you all babbling on about?"
"They're trying to wake her," Zoro uses his head to gesture to your sleeping figure.
"Are you all so scared to wake such," Sanji glances down at your relaxed face, "a beautiful creature?"
Usopp groans, taking another bite of his meal. "Do something already."
The chef places hands on your shoulders, lightly shaking you until he finds himself staring at the ceiling, gasping to get the air back into his lungs.
Your face comes into view. "What were you doing?" You push yourself off him.
He groans when you pull him up.
"Waking you," he groans. "I see why no one wakes you now."
"I said, I was sorry," you mumble.
"And that's why we leave her alone," Zoro tells him.
"Shut up, make fun of Luffy or Usopp's love for food and Kaya."
"Woah, woah. Don't drag me into this. I did nothing." The storyteller raises his hands, dropping the meat he had in his hands.
"You all are going to get brought into this."
"I'm just gonna-" Usopp runs around to the other side of the counter.
You chase after him, he counters going around; eventually you stop following him and jump up on the counter and launch yourself in his direction. But are unable to catch- "You're such a bug. I am this close to squashing you under my foot."
"Your fingers are touching," Nami points out.
"Exactly, orangie," you smile at her. "Can you put me down now?"
"Are you going to continue acting like a child in my kitchen?"
"That depends on the bug."
"She's not, hold her so I can finish my-" Usopp yelps when you reach out for him.
"Stop trying to attack your fellow crew members." Luffy orders you, food flying out of his mouth.
"How did you ever deal with him?" Sanji mumbles, unable to keep himself away from you, "he has no manners."
"I don't know." You shrug, taking a bite of the dinner he prepared (as he stands beside you, leaning against the counter). You moan as the flavors hit your tongue. "Again, I'm very," you pat his arm unable to open your eyes due to the richness of the seasonings hitting your tongue. "Very happy you decided to come aboard."
He chuckles, not at all trying to hide that his cheeks are enflamed from anyone. "I am happy to hear that, mademoiselle. That is what every chef lives to hear."
"But you're not every chef."
Nami groans, closing her eyes at the sudden headache. "Can you two stop flirting for two seconds so we can eat in peace?"
You open your eyes and stare. "If you don't like it, then leave. We are enjoying ourselves and if you don't like it, then shut up."
"But-"
You stick your tongue out and shove another spoonful into your mouth. She sighs and doesn't say anything else. "That's what I thought."
"Could you say that again?" The blond asks, breaking the silence.
"Which part?"
"The part where you don't deny us flirting with one another."
"Oh, yeah." You don't know what else to do and use your spoon to move around the carrots on your plate, not entirely focused.
On the one hand this could be good, and you'd be able to confess. Although on the other hand, he could reject you and that can potentially lead to some awkwardness between you, him, and the rest of the crew. And in the case, he tells you he doesn’t feel the same, you will respect his wishes.
Is this a risk you're willing to take?
You take a deep breath. "I won't because it's true."
The others don't know what to do, this is not what they were expecting after they just started to return on their adventure for the grand line.
His breath hitches, "oh?"
You nod. "It's hard to deny the facts when they're right in front of you. Plus, these guys would make sure to do something about it at some point."
"What?"
"No," Usopp and Luffy scoff, as if they're offended.
"Okay, maybe but only because we know you two are good for each other," the rubber man argues.
"See," you use your utensil to point at the two. "They'd definitely be the first to try and plan something for us."
"Appreciate the thought boys, but I am capable of taking things into my own hands." He wraps an arm around your shoulders, leading you outside.
-
"Are you sure it's safe to leave them alone? I think we should go back."
He tilts his head, the corner of his lips tugged upwards. "Are you, dare I ask, afraid to be alone with me?"
You scoff, "hardly."
"Then why don't you admit it?"
"Admit what?"
"That you like me."
You roll your eyes, "you're crazy."
"Am I? Or is that maybe you don't want to admit it fully to yourself because you were perfectly fine admitting that we were flirting, so what makes this so different?"
"Okay, fine." You walk back and forth along the deck. "Maybe, I do."
"I'm going to need more than that."
You stomp your foot and speed walk to him. "I am not going to repeat myself for the sake of you just wanting me to repeat myself because-"
You barely have any time to acknowledge the kiss until his breath fans against your lips. "I figured I'd save you this time."
You frown. "This doesn't make up for when I saved you and Usopp at the Baratie."
He nods, "I know." He glances from one eye to the other, "this does." And he does it again.
You put a hand on his chest, pulling away this time. "We have an audience."
"What?"
"To your left."
He glances over at them and back at you, a hint of mischief twinkling. "Let's give them a show."
"Wha-"
He presses his hand against your back, cupping the base of your neck as he tips you down.
Usopp and Luffy cheer as Nami and Zoro give looks of disapproval (even though they're happy you two did something about your feelings).
"Okay, that's enough. We get it, you two are together and you knew we were here."
The blond pulls back and smirks down at your flushed face, winking when you catch his gaze. "We didn't know you were there, forgive us."
You owlishly blink, not at all focusing on everything going on around you. You return your attention onto him, feeling his thumb brushing against your side since your shirt had risen from his show.
"Are you alright?"
You nod, "I'm fine."
"Are you? I feel as though you are not. I shouldn't have done that, shouldn't I?" He shakes his head at his behavior. "I know, I know. I'm sorry but I- I was excited."
You gently remove his hand from you before stomping past Zoro (who puts his foot out to trip the chef).
"What? What did I do?"
You groan and spin around. "You make it so hard to be mad at you."
All the worry leaves his body. He happily chases after you. "What can I do to make it less hard on you? Not be as cute, perhaps."
Nami nods, "I'm gonna go puke now."
"Ah, come on. They're not that bad."
The echoes of Sanji's voice playing coy can be heard out onto the deck.
"It's cute," Luffy shrugs.
"They won't be as cute when he has to wake her up," Zoro adds.
"Oh, that's a good idea," Usopp nods. "Make him the target."
Nami covers her face with her hand. "You're an idiot."
"What?"
"Stupid says what," Zoro mumbles.
"What?"
"I rest my case," the orange haired girl adds.

A Flashy Act-Buggy x Reader (One Piece Live Action)
Summary: You and Luffy find yourself with new members for your small pirate crew, quickly after stealing the map to the grand line, you're all kidnapped by a crew of pirates.
(Based on the One Piece Live Action!! since no one has written about Buggy which has surprised me. Enjoy this one shot Buggy fans!! You guys can decide if you want part 2 to include smut or not😩 next part will be written depending on how well people like this🤡)
"You know I'm gonna be king of the pirates. It's the first time I've had a ship like this." Luffy excitedly told the ginger haired girl.
"I know you've told me that many times already. Can you please be silent for once?" She asked getting annoyed by Luffy's constant talking.
"You be quiet. The kid's just excited." The green man known as Zoro told Nami.
Nami was trying to open the lock which was protecting the map inside.
Both of them unexpectedly helped us, when Luffy and I broke inside to find the map to the grand line, with a bit of help from Koby who had been kidnapped by Alvida. Thankfully Luffy saved him, the young boy said he wanted to join the Marines.
Luffy and I had entered and quickly met Nami and Zoro. Zoro was tied up with Nami dressed as a Marine trying to also have the map Luffy and I were after.
I have been by Luffy's side since many years now. Since he was a small boy, I am only just a couple of years older but I was the second person who raised him. The first being my older brother,l Shanks.
Just earlier the four of us were fighting a couple of Marine soldiers with Axe Hand Morgan trying to stop us, and almost did. If it weren't for Zoro and Luffy's help then we might've already been executed.
"He's just being enthusiastic about all of this. There's no need to be so mean." I said glaring at Nami and she glared back as well.
I decided to not say anything else to her so I walked over to where Luffy was holding onto his straw hat.
He had a smile on his face when he turned to look back at me. "Can you believe this, (Y/N). We finally have have a crew. I can only imagine the look on his face if he were to see me."
"I know he'll be proud. You're slowly becoming a true pirate." I nudge his shoulder and saw him smiling as he stared at the dark skies.
"I think we all make a pretty good team."
"Why do you even protect that hat so much. It looks like to fished it out of the trash."
"One man's trash is another man's treasure." Luffy replied to Nami when she spotted him holding onto the hat.
We all looked back and saw Nami has successfully managed to open the lock. "You did it!" Nami picked the map and unrolled it. With the four of us standing close looking down at it.
Luffy didn't get it or understood where the Grand Line is, so Nami began drawing it for him so he could understand it better. Rogers treasure is hidden somewhere in there.
A loud sort of bomb was heard with the sky now turning red. We all ran out of the ship and saw something explode in the sky. Zoro was the first to fall to the floor and Nami began to cough before she collapsed.
Oh shit. I tried to cover my mouth and nose but to was too late and I also fell to the floor and collapsed.
"Shhh (Y/N)."
I jumped up a bit and opened my eyes to see Luffy a bit too close to me. I rubbed my eyes and tried to stand up but saw that the four of us were inside of a wooden box.
"What..how did we get here?"
"It wasn't the Marines work. Before we all collapsed, I saw a ship heading towards us." Luffy said with Zoro quickly replying to him.
"It'll be easy then. Marines have training. Pirates don't."
We all were quickly met with circus music when the top of the box was removed along with the rest of the box. What the hell?
Zoro, Nami and I looked at each other weirdly when we looked at our surroundings. We were inside of a huge circus tent.
Red and white colored stripes with lights decorating the place, weird looking people and a crowd that were seated but we're tied by their ankles.
The crowd continued to clap with Luffy doing the same but Nami and I stopped him.
"No no no. Stop clapping! It's all wrong"
The four of us looked over at where the voice was coming from and we all looked to our left, and saw a tall man come through dressed entirely as a clown.
Long coat, bright blue long hair with exaggerated makeup and a red clown nose.
"The spotlight was late, it missed my entrance. And where oh where is the lion?" He said standing close to a man with white bear ears?
"Heyy. I know you." Luffy said which made me look back at him wishing he hadn't spoken. The man with blue hair turned to look at us. Wait..Luffy is right, we've seen him before.
"I saw your Wanted poster at Shell's town. You're the clown guy..umm..uhh. Binky, right?" He asked.
I nudged Luffy's shoulder. "Shut up, Luffy. That's Buggy." I muttered seeing that the clown kept his eyes on us.
"Buggy." The pirate corrected and grinned. "Buggy the Clown. Buggy, the Flashy Fool. Buggy, the Genius Jester." He said when no one spoke, seems like no one here knows about him.
"That one beside you seems to be the only one who's heard about me." I felt nervous when his blue eyes landed on me and he smiled.
I had only heard of him, and saw him on the Wanted poster. But I swear I must've at least since him once before…
He's creepy..but weirdly find him attractive. Maybe it's just my brain distracting myself from danger, who knows.
Luffy seemed impressed, "Wow. You have a lot of names."
I nodded my head and looked at Luffy, "He does. Everyone in the East Blue knows who he is."
"What did you just say?" His expression changed when I suddenly said that. Which made me confused.
"That everyone knows who you are?"
"Nose?!" I was paralyzed when Buggy came over and was now holding onto my face.
"Are you making fun of my nose?" He said a bit too close to me.
"I swear I wasn't! But..now that you mention it, is that thing real?" I asked genuinely wanting to know.
Buggy tilted his head as he stared at me, "You're kinda cute." He hummed and grinned
I saw Luffy's hand slowly started to try and tough the clowns nose until he smacked his hand away. The clown grinned looking down at me and stepped back letting go of me.
"You think you're so clever… What's real is I've been scheming for months to steal that map from old Axe Hand Moron. Only to find out that I was upstaged by four little nobodies, who stole it from right under my no-…No!! It's in my head now."
"Hey! I'm not a nobody. I'm Monkey D. Luffy. And I will be king of the pirates." My best friend said making Buggy laugh.
"Oh! Now that's funny. My bounty poster graces the marquee of every Marine Outpost for miles. And my menagerie of outcasts and freaks is the most dreaded pirate crew the East blue has ever known. I am destined to find One Piece. And when I do. I will be King."
"No, you won't. 'Cause I'm gonna find it first." Luffy told him.
Zoro stepped between us and looked at the other clowns behind Buggy. "I am Roronoa Zoro. Drop your weapons now and I may let you live."
This made Buggy laugh while looking at the green haired stoic man.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a celebrity in our midst. Too bad I hate sharing the spotlight. Now, maybe we should skip right to the finale."
Buffy retrieve a set of blades and smiled at us.
"My freaks put quite a bit of a rehearsal time into this little abduction. And if I can reward them with that map.. I suppose I'll have to offer them a pound of flesh instead."
Nami stepped between Luffy and I now, now looking at Buggy. "Wait. What if I have something else to offer you? Something more valuable than the map? What if I give you a new freak for your crew?"
"A rare talent. The most spectacular act in all the East Blue. Besides you, of course."
Nami glanced back at me and I glared back. Nami has grabbed Luffy's straw hat and tossed it up, just when Luffy showed his devil fruit powers, Nami left running.
"That little bitch." I whispered glaring at where she left.
It wasn't long at all when they brought her back and she revealed that Buggy's crew had destroyed the entire town.
He shrugged his shoulders as he stared at her. "Not everything. I let 'em keep their hands."
The sign for "clap" was lifted again, making the poor towns people begin to clap.
All the lights were suddenly focused on Buggy again. "I know one of you has my map, and I'm going to get it back." He said in a serious voice now.
"What was it you said, Rubber boy? That ir was in a safe place. Don't look so surprised. I got eyes and ears everywhere."
"I know where it is." I spoke up making all eyes turn to look at me.
I began to laugh as I showed the clowns and Buffy my middle finger. "You can all suck it or shove it up your asses.
Buffy clapped and at the people surrounding him. "Okay! Let's make our guests uncomfortable in the green room." A few clowns came to grab Nami and Zoro.
While another pair came to grab Luffy, Buggy stood behind me grabbed my neck and grinned looking at Luffy and looking back down at me.
"And I am gonna have a chat with our new pals.."

Ive Fallen
The moment they fell in love with you~
Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Buggy, Shanks, Mihawk x GN Reader
Please support me on Ko-Fi I'd like to pay rent 👍🏽
Luffy
It was the moment you had made him his favorite meal and said the magic words-
"Hey Luffy welcome back!" You say cheerfully as you set down a plate for a customer. Your regular Luffy coming in for his normal mountain of food-
"Hey (Y/N)!" He said cheerfully as he set himself on his normal bench. You already having his glass of milk poured as you set it before him and got his plate consisting of his favorite items you had already made ahead of time.
"I saw you were getting your boat ready to set sail"
"I got to get everything going for when im pirate king!" He said loudly, taking a hefty bite of his food. You smiled, always loving his optimistic ways.
"Well, I believe in you Luffy. If there is anyone who will become king of the pirates its you" You say cheerfully and give him a smile.
Luffy felt his heart beating like a drum and warmth developed his body. Like your words had kicked his heart into action-
"Oop let me go refill Mr. Yamos drinks" You say cheerfully as you go to continue your work, Luffys eyes following you.
Had you always looked this pretty?
Zoro
When he saw you training
Zoro was.. well lost- He had needed to use the restroom when the ship made port and it was like he made one turn and suddently his was in a deep forest.
Fuck-
So Zoro went to make his way back, unknowingly getting himself more and more lost.
Stumbling through a clearing he stopped when he saw you- standing there practicing formation and swings with your sword- So beautiful and powerful, he couldn't help but be mesmerized.
Standing there watching from the trees he couldn't help but feel some warmth come to his cheeks, finally working the will to approach.
"Need a sparing partner?" He offered as he stepped forward.
Sanji
When he saw you baking and trying the food some kids had made for you
They had made port to restock supplies, in his case get more groceries since Luffy ate enough for 5 men. Walking through the streets of the village he smelled the sweets before he saw you- in the window letting out trays of freshly baked treats with a smile on your lips.
Your smile drew him to stop midstep and watch. A few young children running past him to the shop as they held up their treats to you-
He saw the pastry even from here he could see it was burned and most likely raw in the center, the thick layer of flower on the bottom no better then cement. Any person with a pallet wouldn't be able to swallow it- not even Luffy. However you smiled and took a big bite of the pastry and swallowed.
Smiling at the child and praising them on doing so well- Sanji felt his chest tughten and warmth unlike his normal attraction bubble in his system, his feet moving faster then his mind as he approached your bakery.
Buggy
When he saw you perform for the first time
Buggy had stopped by a village during a festival, Normally he would have just raided the place but he had a soft spot for festivals like this- So for now the village was spared.
Especially since they had one hell of a hot dog stand which he gladly took part in. While standing there eating his treat he turned to see the grand bonfire that was being set up as music started to be played, everyone starting to gather and dance- And then he saw you.
Singing and dancing along to the music as you stole the show, twirling around the fire with others as your clothes seemed to highly glow next to the light of the bonfire making you look like a living star.
Buggy felt Hypnotized as he watched you, The way you sang, dance and your overall grace.
He had never wanted to see another person perform so badly in his life, a warmth Flooding his face and chest as he watched you laugh and walk away to get a drink. Standing up to follow and work up the nerve to speak with you.
Shanks
When he heard you singing while gardening
Ah to he back at his favorite bar
He stepped out to get some fresh air, the warmth of the sun hitting his skin and making him feel energized. His train of thought was broken however as he heard singjng?- this wasn't a area that had a choir or anything like that so it caught his interest following the song to behind the bar.
Turning around the corner he spotted you, on your knees in the herb garden thay grew next to the restaurant gathering things needed for drunks and food.
He couldn't tear his eyes away from you as your voice washed through him- you looked so damn cute, paired with your singing it just made his chest squeeze at the sight.
"You have a beautiful voice" He said softly before giving you a sly smile, seeing you turn back to him and blush at being caught.
Mihawk
When you were sitting by the fireplace reading
Mihawk had arrived in a sleepy village, going to the nearest inn for the night to rest. Typically he would have just camped outside but the flash flood pouring over the village said otherwise-
Entering he spotted you right away, seated infront of the fire with a book. Normally he wouldn't bother glancing at such a sight but in truth he couldn't turn away.
You just looked so elegant? Seated so perfectly infront of that grand fireplace in comforble warm clothes, a cup of tea next to you and eyes focused only on the written word.
"Sir would you like a room?" The old women snapping him from his thoughts as he quickly nodded and paid for the room. Deciding it was best to just approach.
"What are you reading?" He asked, watching your eyes travel up to meet his and giving him a gentle smile as you tell him about the book series you were reading and offering him to read the first edition since you'd already completed it.
He accepts and sits at the chair across from you- A comforble relaxes feeling washing through him at this and he couldn't help but let his eyes fall in you.
Lovely

꒰ THE UNBEARABLE WEIGHT OF LOVE ꒱ RORONOA ZORO X READER
warnings ⟢ slight angst (though it gets resolved). hurt/comfort. mentions of death and dying. descriptions of blood and wounds. brief allusions to buddhism. reader is gn and described as “beautiful” once.
word count ⟢ 1086
notes ⟢ happy birthday to my most beloved! this fic is self-indulgent (i.e. full of my hcs about zoro’s childhood) and a labor of love. the three of swords design in the banner is from the rider-waite tarot deck. three of swords generally depicts a difficult, sorrowful experience.
So this is how it ends.
The midafternoon horizon is fathomless—a halycon ocean—the sun anchored in its depths. A cool breeze stirs, kissing his tawny flesh, rustling his hair, and chiming his earrings; whispering beachgrass casts sinuous shadows across his face, allowing his good eye to rest in partial shade. Nearby, the tide laps at the shoreline—tenderly, the caress of a lover. Foam glides across half-buried seashells and beached debris in a brief greeting before returning to the sea, heeding her call.
Where Zoro is, he can’t be certain (not an uncommon occurence, though he would never admit it). His robe was slashed off at some point, and fell to the ground in shorn tatters. He lies bare-backed in a slurry of sand and ichor, his swords beside him; weeping wounds litter his torso, the most gruesome of which stretches from his navel to his right side. While he had the wherewithal to cut his haramaki and tie it around his waist as a makeshift tourniquet, the fabric is sodden, metallic teardrops puddling in the sand.
Pain is a feeling he greets like an old friend. It’s comforting, almost, like a suffocating embrace. As a boy, he had to nurture that cold familiarity if he wanted to survive—be it fighting bigger kids for spare scraps at the orphanage, or taking lashes from a bokken at the dojo. Strength comes with a cost, as does physical and mental growth. Existence is suffering, and suffering is—in its purest form—pain. But the mind-numbing sting that currently radiates from his injuries is the last thing on his mind.
For the first time in years, Zoro is afraid. He shivers despite the scorching sunbeams, sucking in shallow mouthfuls of air, glistening beads of sweat sliding down his body toward the earth.
It isn’t the prospect of death that scares him; he has walked most of his life along the corpse-strewn path of demons, fighting against his fate as an asura. And he has peered into death’s grim visage before—too many times count. He even dived into hell and cleaved through its bowels to face Enma, emerging victorious as the king of souls departed.
Regret, however? Regret is a different beast.
It’s why he trembles now, covered in grime and gore, half-lucid. As dark thoughts slink to the forefront of his consciousness, he’s aware that dying here will mean failing. Not simply failing himself and his own dream of becoming the greatest swordsman, but also failing his captain and best friend, and failing to preserve Kuina’s legacy. Most gut-wrenching of all, he knows that dying here will mean failing you. There’s so much Zoro wants to do with you, so much he wants to say. He itches with regret, calloused digits twitching at his sides, desperate to claw his skin off.
Clarity torments him. Memories flit before his steel gaze, now wet—a tear-streaked blade. He sees you: the flicker of your eyes when you tell a story; the curve of your lips when you poke fun at him; the halo of your hair when you nap against his chest; the set of your jaw when you’re serious. More than anything else, he longs to tell you how he feels.
I love you.
Three simple words that he always struggled to string together. Perfect moment after perfect moment was presented to him on a gilt platter: inside the crow’s nest at dawn, or beneath the lush boughs in the tangerine orchard—even perched atop the Sunny’s bow to watch the sunset. He squandered each of these opportunities because he (foolishly) assumed there would be more in the future.
I love you.
If only he could muster the strength to breathe out the sweetness of your name once more—to taste each smooth, honeyed syllable on his lips, to feel it silken on his palate. Maybe then he could forgive himself. But instead, it dies on his tongue as his vision blots and blurs. Eventually, his world goes black.
I love you.
Zoro awakes to the muffled creaking of a hull.
His head pounds, his mouth is bone-dry, and his limbs are leaden and stiff; he feels like death, and suspects that he looks like it, too. Surgical gauze tightly wraps his frame, stifled wounds screaming in agony. When he glances up and sees framed pictures of the crew above his cot, he recognizes where he is: the Sunny’s infirmary. In his periphery, you’re sitting at Chopper’s desk with a book in your lap. He tries (and, to his frustration, fails) to shift into a seated position. As soon as you notice the movement—head snapping up in surprise—you rush to his bedside.
He waits for you to reprimand him for being so reckless while away from the rest of the crew. But you don’t—not yet, anyway. (Not until he’s mostly healed. And for that, he wonders if you may be an angel.) Instead, you kneel on the wooden floorboards to level with him. Your fingertips tentatively brush against his cheekbone, as though you’re testing to ensure that he’s real. Content with what you find, you cup his chin, allowing him to lean into the soft warmth of your touch, catlike.
“I was worried about you. Well, so was everyone else. But I’ll only speak for myself,” you murmur.
His voice is gravel, cragged from disuse. “Sorry.”
After a few beats of silence, he clears his throat. “Is Chopper on break?”
You nod. “I’ve picked up the night shift so he can sleep.”
“How long was I out for?”
“Roughly two days.”
“Fuck.”
That draws a chuckle from you.
Zoro swallows. “Listen, I—”
Your thumb grazes his chapped lips, forcing him to pause. “Save your energy, Zo. You don’t have to defend yourself; you’re safe with me. I promise.”
Tired but patient, your gaze breaks him, only to piece him back together. His heart aches.
He inhales deeply. Then—in a flood of emotion he can’t stem—the words flow out: “Y’know I’m not good with feelings…or words. But, uh…” A broad palm wraps around your wrist, your skin hot against his. Ignoring the heat creeping up into his cheeks, he sighs, “I love you.”
Before he can second guess his confession, your lips bloom and burst into a radiant smile, setting your features alight. He doesn’t think you have ever looked more beautiful.
“I know,” you admit airily. Leaning in, you dot a kiss to his scarred eyelid. “I love you, too.”
#i poured my heart and soul into this fic and i hope it shows!!!!!! hbd to my most beloved once again!!!!!! mwah mwah mwah#+ first zoro fic on the new blog :’-)) i’m emo#— from the desk of#— roronoa zoro#— one piece#roronoa zoro x reader#zoro x reader#one piece x reader

Since Halloween is just around the corner how would the straw hat crew react if reader dressed up as one of them for Halloween? (It could be Luffy or whatever straw hat crew member you think would be best?😅)
This was fun to make even if I kept getting stuck on it due to a bad mood. Also I couldn't decide on who so I asked an elder (my older brother) and he chose the swirly browed cook himself! Enjoy!
Fun(ny) Halloween
Sanji x Gender Neutral Reader. 1496 words. Platonic and co-starring the rest of the Strawhat crew.
October, a month of fall and most importantly, Halloween. There’s a problem though… you don’t know what to go as. You could pick a classic, vampire, mummy, some sort of animal or devil, but that’s boring. You want something cool but scary, easy to do would be a plus too. While thinking of this you’re suddenly jumpscared by Sanji bursting out of the kitchen onto the deck with food.
“Robin-chann!! I made the tea you asked for~~~~” He spins around and sets it down in front of her, swooning when she smiles at him with an elegant “Thank you.” Your hand goes to your heart, he’s always so passionate it’s startling.
‘Startling…’ An idea pops into your mind and you look at Sanji, he’s really just wearing a suit, right? It's mostly likely uncomfortable, but a regular suit is an easy thing to get! This is perfect, plans starting to form in your head as the day goes on. As soon as the Sunny docks at an island you run off, saying you have something to do that’s a surprise. Eyebrows you can just draw on, a blonde wig is easy to get too even if you have to style it a bit, now to get a suit. You walk into the store and look around, grabbing one and checking the price tag. Expensive! Sanji has good taste too so an accurate one to him would be even more than this… well it isn’t like you’re going to become him, you don’t need anything fancy. You get whatever suit is close enough to his and a regular dress shirt. For a tie, you could bribe Nami to borrow one from him. Perfect plan, you’re a genius. When you get back to the ship you borrow sewing tools from Usopp and a straightener from Robin since Nami would have charged you. Things are easy enough from there, adjusting the suit slightly to fit your body and cutting the wig. It isn’t… the best. Sanji is very well maintained, and you’re making this really late, but it’s enough to be recognizable as him.
_________________
October, the month of- hell yeah it’s Halloween! You excitedly grab your costume, putting it on and making some final touches to look nice. You do look nice in a suit, almost everyone does, but this is a bit of a hassle. “How does he just wear this all the time?” You mumble to yourself while putting it on. Now that you think about it, having a full suit on is the most peculiar for a pirate to wear. No matter, this’ll only be for a day anyway. Only thing left is to go show everyone.
__________________
“That’s your costume? Seriously? A mummy?” Nami, in a sexy farmer costume, says to Zoro. He’s just wearing bear ears and bandages on his face. “That’s the same as last year!”
“I’m a bear mummy this time, don’t you have eyes?” He points to the bear ears and Nami gives him a look of disgust. “You relaxing your face or something? Look a lot better like this.” Nami’s expression turns back to normal and Zoro flinches on purpose, causing her to kick him in the shin angrily. Chopper, who's dressed as a little ghost complete with a tenkan headband over the white sheet and black painted horns, runs around trying to catch a mechanical bee Usopp’s piloting. The sniper’s dressed as a beekeeper, but with actual mechanical bees in the hive on his back. He’s matching with Franky dressed as the queen, or king, bee. When Chopper catches it he strikes a pose and gives a “SUPER!!”
“Robin-Chwannn~ You look beautiful even in your costume.” Sanji swoons over Robin in her spider woman costume. No, not the superhero, an actual spider woman, she even grew arms on her back to keep the image. Brook goes to her as well, dressed as a magician.
“Yohoho~ Here’s my magic trick for two beautiful women.” He pulls two roses from his afro and gives one to her, then to Nami.
“You just pulled roses from your hair…” Usopp mumbles.
“Awee that was actually kinda sweet.” Nami admires the rose.
“Free of charge, though I do take panties as dona-” He gets hit on the head. Jinbe isn’t quite used to this sort of thing, but has learned his lesson about Nami already and chooses to silently sip his tea in his zombie costume courtesy of you and Luffy. Suddenly you walk out from inside the ship and Luffy, dressed as.. a pirate captain with a hook, notices you from his spot on the railing above.
“Huh? Sanji?” That brings attention to you, especially Sanji who turns around expecting for Luffy to ask him for food; instead seeing you dressed at him. He freezes with his mouth open, stopped in his tracks before he could yell at his captain that he was fed not too long ago.
“Oh. my. gods.” Nami stares at you and then bursts out laughing with Usopp. “Is this why you asked me to get a tie from h-him!?” She holds her stomach, bending down slightly as she laughs. You walk over to her.
“Well? Was it worth the investment, mademoiselle?” You say to her and she covers her mouth to muffle more laughing.
“Another shitty cook, this is a nightmare.” Zoro says in the background, which seems to snap Sanji out of it.
“Shut up, Mosshead!" They start to fight, the cook kicking down at Zoro as he blocks with his swords. Luffy keeps staring between you and Sanji.
“Wait, how are there two Sanjis?” He’s confused.
“One is clearly not me! How is this not obvious to you!?” The blonde points to himself, then motions to his whole body. Luffy stares at his face, then at yours. The both of you have swirly eyebrows.
“You have a twin? When did they get on the ship?” Sanji falls to his knees at Luffy’s obliviousness. “Which one of you is Sanji?”
“I’m Sanji.” You say with a charismatic smile, putting your hand on your face and flicking your hair.
“Ohhh okay.” Luffy nods.
“Don’t just believe them!” The real Sanji yells.
“I’m gonna pass out…!” Usopp clutches his chest, getting lightheaded from laughing too hard. Sanji looks at everyone laughing and gets a little bummed, you walk over to him.
“Well? How do I look? I actually worked pretty hard on this, though I don’t look as cool as you.” Sanji’s ears perk up from your compliment.
“Cool?” He pries for more of them.
“Yeah, you always look really put together. This helped me realize how tiring it must be to almost always have a suit on. It kinda makes me admire you.” His eyes twinkle and he smiles, trying to keep it calm and charismatic rather than overly happy.
“Hmm, I guess that’s true.” Nami mumbles to herself while trying to imagine having to wear a suit all the time. Sanji catches it immediately; but so do you. Right as he runs to her you follow suit and copy his swooning.
“Nami-Swann~! You really think so~~!!?” He finishes his statement and turns to you, shock on his face. Nami shivers a little.
“Yikes. Maybe the costume is more scary than funny.” She says and Zoro nods.
“Sorry, your behavior is kind of predictable.” You admit to Sanji, who’s feeling conflicted between liking that his love for women is known and being ashamed that he’s this predictable. Chopper puts a hoof on his leg for comfort, but he’s shaking slightly from also trying not to laugh. The cook turns to Robin right as you do.
“Robin-channnn do you think i’m pre-” He stops and so do you, then falls to his knees again. Robin can’t help it and tries to turn her head and muffle a small laugh with her hand, though it’s still heard. Luffy, who started laughing too, stretches down from where he was hanging and onto Franky.
“Sanji and Sanji, do it again!” He cheers for an encore, raising his arms up. It doesn’t make Swirly Brow feel much better.
“You’re still a better cook than me. I can’t copy your talents.” You crouch down to Sanji’s level but he looks away, pouting and upset that he’s the butt of the joke. “Y’know I wouldn’t have put this much effort into the costume if I was ashamed of you.” You stand back up and strike a pose. “So why don’t you teach me some tricks so I can make this more accurate?” This seems to cheer him up and he stands, looking around. Well, these are his friends, and it’s not like it’s unfunny.
“Well,” He clears his throat. “your hair isn’t parted correctly.” His hands go to your wig and smooth it out as you smile back. If the people he cares for are happy, so is he.
“I think they look better.” Zoro states and Sanji attacks him. Zoro is the exception.

Hey Girl, what’s up? Can you please do a Zoro x Female Reader Fluff with angst. The reader is a negotiator of alliances/swords-woman for the straw-hats (sounds like a dumb rule for a pirate crew but Luffy is not the sharpest tool in the shed and believes alliances means being Besties for the resties). Her and Zoro dated before the two year time skip but broke up. After she takes a bad hit for him battle and tells him she loves him, he starts to doubt why he can’t say I love you to her. But all ends well. It’s a lot I know. Thank you!
Warnings: injuries, hurt/comfort, Zoro being kind of standoffish,
Word Count: 1540
Sighing, you cleaned your blade, your mind wandering as your body went onto autopilot. Part of you missed doing this with Zoro, sitting side by side as you took care of your blades, the moment when you’d inevitably finish with your sword and grab one of his. It was quiet work, but it was a comfortable silence, simply enjoying one another’s presence. It had been some time since you last did that, since you last shared such a comfortable moment with him. You missed it; you missed it a lot, more than you could say. The feeling had gotten better while Law had been here, allowing the two of you to maintain your blades next to each other, another comfortable silence. Granted, the comfortable silence between you and Law had been different than between you and Zoro, but it had still been comforting.
“Would you like a snack, Y/n-chan. Your work must be tiring.” Sanji asked, smiling at you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Oh! Uh, yeah. Thanks. If I could just get a cool drink and something small to nibble on.” you said, returning the smile.
“Would you like the usual, then?” he asked, referring to what you’d eaten while cleaning blades before. The look on your face had him frowning, “How about I change things up a little. Maybe something fruity and a sweet snack to go with it. Much better than the usual alcohol and rice.” he said with a comforting smile. You nodded, giving him a small smile. You and Zoro had always had sake and onigiri while you worked, careful not to get anything on your blades while enjoying the food. Thankfully, it didn’t take Sanji long to get your snack, setting it down right as you finished cleaning and maintaining your sword.
Glancing over at you, Zoro felt a familiar feeling of jealousy bubble to the surface. Ero-cook was hanging around you again. Ever since your breakup, the blond hung around you more often, bringing you snacks, complimenting you, helping you whenever you needed it; it annoyed the ever loving hell out of him. You were his! How dare he try and make a move on you! Of course logically, he knew you weren’t his anymore and that Sanji could do whatever flirting he wanted with you now, but that didn’t stop the jealousy at the damned blond approaching you, the pleasant conversation you two had, the smile you gave him, or the favors that Sanji did for you. You didn’t smile at him like that anymore, actually you didn’t smile at him at all anymore, not since the break up. He missed your smile, he missed your presence, being able to just sit in a comfortable silence with you. You avoided him now. It had been a ‘mutual’ break up, you’d both ‘agreed’ that it wasn’t working, yet you still avoided him. Of course, it hadn’t been completely mutual, he still cared a great deal for you, but he hadn’t wanted to sit there begging for you not to leave him, to swear to change or be better or whatever it was that you’d demand of him. It wasn’t that he wasn’t willing to do so for you, but he wasn’t the type to plead on his knees like that. That was the cook, that wasn’t him.
The battle raged all around him, the sound of clashing weaponry and gunfire filling his ears, even as he tried to block it out. He wasn’t new to facing this many enemies, far from it, but these were stronger than the usual rank and file they encountered. Zoro wasn’t normally the type to let down his guard mid battle, he wasn’t the type to lose his concentration or falter when the crew needed him to be at his best. But he wasn’t all here today, making stupid mistakes and taking hits that shouldn’t have happened. Mihawk would have berated the shit out of him for losing his focus, no matter what the reason. Not that he cared what his mentor would think at the moment, he was too busy attempting to focus on the fight at hand. Had he been paying more attention, he might have noticed your presence sooner, might have heard you shouting his name, hell, he might have noticed the man attacking him in the first place! But his attention had been elsewhere until he felt your hand against his back, pushing him down and out of the way, until your scream reached his ears as you took a blow meant for him. His eyes widened as he watched you fall to the ground, dropping his swords in favor of catching you. The look in his eye was panicked as Luffy took over, pushing the enemies back.
“Y/n…” Zoro whispered, holding you in his arms, unable to say anything other than your name.
“What’s wrong, Zoro? You’re usually so much better than this?” you attempted to tease, smiling at him as your blood began to cover his arms.
“W-why?” he asked, forcing the single word out. Why had you saved him? Why had you taken the hit for him? … Why were you now bleeding in his arms?
“Isn’t it obvious, or are you-” you coughed, blood running down the corner of your mouth as fear filled Zoro’s eyes, “are you as challenged at emotions as you are at directions?” you asked, once again attempting to tease him as if you weren’t bleeding out. Zoro could only shake his head as Chopper finally reached you, beginning to tend to your injury. Zoro’s large hand took yours, holding it tightly. Your hand had always felt so small compared to his, now, held between both of his hands as Chopper tended to you, it felt even smaller.
“It’s because I love you, dumbass.” you said, your eyes starting to feel heavy.
“I… I…” Zoro swallowed hard, he wanted to say it back to you, wanted to tell you he loved you too, yet the words were stuck in his throat. He swore his heart stopped. Your arm went limp, your eyes closed, and your body lax. Still, words refused to leave him, leaving him quiet, mouth agape as he tried to say something, anything. His hand tightened around yours as he felt it start to be tugged away from him, only to let it go when he realized Chopper was trying to get you to the infirmary.
Sitting in a chair next to your bed, Zoro ran a hand through his hair. Why hadn’t he been able to say it, it was 3 simple words, I love you. So why hadn’t he been able to say them? Why hadn’t he ever said them to you before? He’d realized after Chopper had taken you to the infirmary that he’d never said it to you, never said such a simple phrase, never said something that he should have. Why hadn’t he said it sooner, why had he been such an idiot. The break up made a lot more sense now, things you’d said, things you’d asked, they made so much sense now.
“Y/n… I… I l-” once more the words got stuck in his throat as he stared at your unconscious form. Was it because of the state you were in or was it because he couldn’t bring himself to say 3 simple words? Taking a deep breath, he did his best to calm himself. Chopper said that you’d be okay, that you might not be conscious for a while, but that you’d be alright, though you’d have one hell of a scar afterwards, “Y/n… I…” Zoro took another deep breath, focusing on staying calm and breathing rather than the weight of his words, “I lo… love you.” he said, his heart pounding as he finally forced the words out. A couple tears made their way down his cheeks as if saying those 3 little words had broken a dam inside him, more and more tears making their way down his cheek. He didn’t typically cry, he hadn’t in years, but seeing you like this, saying those words, he couldn’t stop the tears. A hand on his cheek snapped him back out of his thoughts, back to the real world, seeing your eyes open as you smiled at him.
“Took you… long enough.” you said softly. Zoro chuckled, even as he choked on his tears.
“I’m… I’m sorry. I should have said it sooner.” he said, holding your hand, thumb caressing the back of your hand.
“Better late than never. I love you too.” you said, closing your eyes for a moment, “I’m… I’m tired, will you lay with me? I miss our naps.” you asked, already feeling yourself start to drift off. Zoro pulled the blankets up and silently crawled in with you, wrapping his large arms around you and pulling you close. If he couldn’t bring himself to say it, then this time, he’d make sure to show you just how much he loved you. Maybe you were right, maybe he was as romantically challenged as he was directionally challenged, but he’d try and be better, at least this was easier than trying to figure out where he was going.

Akward Morning Luffy x reader
Nickname included is Je, which you can replace. Crazy strawhats being crazy. Enjoy.
Part 2 ----> Here
Morning dawned over the horizon, the Straw Hat Pirates waking up from their slumber. Luffy was snoring away, sprawled like a starfish across your bed, you also still sleeping, an arm over his waist, and head on his shoulder.
Loud knocking woke your boyfriend up, as he heard Usopp saying something. Yawning and stretching, he stood up and tapped to the door, hand in his hair as he opened it. "Usopp? What´s wrong?" "Ah! You´re here! I thought you-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!", his best friend began to talk but drifted off, screaming loudly at him.
"Why are you screaming?", asked Luffy. " YOU´RE NAKED!!!!". Silence came over them as Luffy looked down. "Oh, no wonder that I feel so cold" "Luffy! You-" "mmh", Usopp got interrupted by your voice, Luffy looking over with a grin. "Je is currently waking up. What is-USOPP!!", Luffy saw his best friend pale as a ghost.
Slaaming the door in his face, Luffy was confused but turned around. "He´s weird today" "Who is?", you spoke, finally up, stretching yourself. "Usopp! I guess Sanji put something in his food, or Chopper tested some medicine on him...pants pants", he said and looked around for his pants.
"Morning everyone!", shouted Luffy as you both arrived in the kitchen. Sanji looked something in between mad and sad. "Why, you lucky bastard?!" "Hm?" "Why do you slept by our Goddess again?! I want to be the one next to her" "Sanji I told you my room is always open for anyone", you admitted with a soft smile.
"But my Goddess! I mean sleeping by your side! Not that rubber idiot!!! Waking up next to you would be a blessing for my heart and soul, to see you the first thing in the morning!", he began to swoon around you.
During breakfast, Usopp poked in his food before pushing it away. "Usopp? Are you ok? Not eating?", Franky asked. "Are you sick?!". Chopper was worried. "Oi, you better eat it long nose"
"No. I can´t", he said, hands in a prayer, his index fingers touching his lips. "A stomachache?", asked Robin. "That would be better than what I saw!", he admitted. "A monster?" "Sea King?" "Your face in the mirror?", asked Zoro. "You bastard! No!!! THESE TWO!", he pointed to you and Luffy.
"Eh, did we do something wrong?", you asked. "Not that I remember", said Luffy and took his best friends plate. "Don´t you play with me! My innocence is gone!!!" "You? And innocent?", Nami was more than doubtful. "Yes! Before it clicked on them!"
"What did you do, Luffy?", asked Robin. "Nothing! He knocked and I opened and then he screamed", admitted your boyfriend before you feed him, making him shine.
"YOU WERE BUTT ASS NAKED!!!", the sniper yelled so loudly that his voice cracked, "AND SHE WAS STILL IN BED! YOUR CLOTHES WERE EVERYWHERE! YOU TWO FUCKED!!!"
Silence. "Yohohohoho, Usopp-san, I think you were still dreaming", laughed Brook. "Ah, no. He was right. Je and I slept together", grinned Lu widely, while you blushed bright red.
"WHAAAAAAAAA?!", Nami, Sanji and Chopper screamed. The rest was too shocked to speak. "Luffy! What did you do?!", Nami was about to attack him. "What? I didn´t put a baby in Je" "How the hell do you know how that works?!", Sanji was having a meltdown. "Of course I know how sex works. I´m not dumb!", protested your captain.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!! Our captain is more man than you, hentai-brow!", laughed Zoro. "Fu fu fu, was it fun?" "Robin!" "Yes! With Je it is always fun. We laugh and have fun, and kiss us a lot" "Wait...always?", asked Franky.
"Yeah, we did it a couple times already", beamed Luffy with innocence and you could vanish. Usopp stood up. "Usopp?", asked Chopper. "It was nice meeting you all, I sacrifice myself to the Sea" "USOPP NO!!!", Chopper cried. "I´m traumatized for life! Luffy and ...THIS! Is something that I never thought would happen" "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Luffy-kun, you are a real man now!", laughed Jinbe, everyone completely ignoring Sanji and Zoro fighting outside.
"Yohohoho, Luffy-san?" "Yes brook?" Brook bend down to him. "What color are her panties today?", he asked, awaiting as your boyfriend closed his eyes. "mmmh...ah! Blue like the sky" "Yohohohohoho", Brook dripped blood from his nose. "YOU PERVERT!", Nami kicked him full force outside.
You finally stood up. "Je?" "I shoot myself to the sun", you admitted, face high red as you walked out, the chaos continued.

one piece boys confessing their feelings
☆ characters: zoro, mihawk
☆ up next: what are we? (law x reader)
☆ a/n: my two favorite swordsmen.. i didn't realize how much i missed writing for zoro so definitely expect more marimo content in upcoming posts. enjoy lovelies!
zoro
“Let’s go fishing, Usopp,” Luffy laughed, “Oi! Zoro! Wanna fish with us? I heard there’s Sea Kings in these waters!”
Zoro waved a hand in Luffy’s direction to dissent, though he wasn’t really paying attention to anything happening around him.
A third bottle of beer found its way into the hands of the scarred swordsman, and was happily chugged within seconds.
His head was buzzing, though not from alcohol.
He was nervous.
He wiped his sweaty palms against his shirt for the umpteenth time that night, trying to work up a sense of courage.
To his satisfaction, no one else had seemed to notice his behavior,
You were flipping through a magazine with Nami, suntanning in the tiniest bikini he’d ever seen.
He couldn’t think straight when you were around and he really needed to- now more than ever.
For weeks now he’d been trying to think of how to admit his feelings to you- a harder feat for him than most.
To completely let down every wall he’d spent years and years building up for even just a moment or two of vulnerability.
He’d come close to telling you several times already, and he was pretty sure he might have let something slip before when he was drunk, leading to more than one awkward morning after. He’d avoid you, beat himself up over it, get drunk again that night to forget anything ever happened, and repeat the night before.
It was a disaster.
“You know,” Sanji had said one particularly awkward morning after- more to himself than Zoro, “You’d have a better shot if you didn’t ignore her completely the morning after a horrendously drunk and half-assed confession.”
Zoro had ignored him and stormed out to cut something in half but his advice- if you could call it that- stuck with him.
So here he was now, looking for a quiet place so he could rehearse what he was going to say.
What did he want to say? He paced back and forth, muttering lines he’d written down from movies or famous love quotes.
“If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more,” he’d tried, turning towards a mirror to see how he looked.
Absolutely not. You’d definitely read that book.
“You have bewitched me body and soul- No. No way, I’m not saying that.”
He crushed the piece of paper in his fist and opted to take a nap and have a drink, failproof support systems that had yet to fail him.
“I don’t know, Nami,” you said, “I mean he’s been drunk every single time and it’s starting to really piss me off.
It’s like… every time I’m stupid enough to believe it! Even though I know he’s drunk he gets so sincere for a moment or two and says stuff like ‘You're really beautiful you know that?’ or ‘I feel… a connection with you’. And I’m dumb enough to believe it every damn time.”
“And then he ignores you the next day and pretends nothing happened.”
“Yeah. It’s so weird though, ‘cause I swear- it’s like he gets possessed by rationality and calm in the midst of being a drunken idiot and he says these things with such intent! It’s jarring. I mean he goes from a moron to a Jane Austen romantic hero. What the hell is that?”
“I mean, no offense,” Nami started, your stomach churned with dread before she could even continue, “But maybe he’s just.. you know, trying to hook up. Drop some half assed compliments and hope that’s enough to get him laid.”
An uncomfortable feeling of sadness swallowed you whole. You sighed, taking a sip of your drink.
“I know. I don’t think he’s lying about the attraction, but it would save me a lot of grief if he was just straightforward. That way I could just hook up with him and get it over with.”
Nami laughed, “Gross! You know he showers like once a week right?”
“I can fix him,” you said, laughing with her.
The boys had caught a mountain of fish and sea creatures, so Sanji had promised you all a feast.
Brook had started playing before the sun had set and Robin and Franky were dancing.
You played some beer pong with Luffy and Usopp, while Nami helped Sanji in the kitchen.
You loved nights like these, but as much as you wanted to enjoy yourself you knew that with parties and fun came booze.
And with booze came a certain drunken swordsman promising you sweet nothings.
You tried to focus on the game but were getting badly beat.
You walked into the kitchen to sit with Nami who was sipping on a piña colada, special treatment from Sanji, of course.
“Make me one too Sanji-kun! Please,” you asked.
He gladly obliged.
The three of you talked and laughed while Sanji cooked, enjoying the music and sight of the younger boys playing with Chopper.
The kitchen door swung open and in walked Zoro, who had been very clearly napping. His hair was matted in some places and his eyes still carried the sag of someone who’d been involuntarily woken up from a nap.
“Smelled food,” he said, rubbing his eyes.
You finished your drink and got up out of your seat.
“Leaving, Y/n?” Sanji asked.
Zoro turned to look at you, like he was about to say something.
“Uh, yeah, I’m gonna go read for a bit. Thank you for the food!”
Nami shot you a sympathetic look and waved bye to you.
Zoro sighed, not totally oblivious to the timing of his entrance and your departure.
Sanji and Nami glared at him.
He rolled his eyes at them, “I’ll fix it.”
And he walked out to join Luffy.
Amidst the general excitement that had spread itself throughout the crew over the course of the night was Zoro who was making his way toward the crow’s nest, in hopes of finding you.
You were tucked into a corner of the room, reading a book.
Your knees were up on the sofa and you seemed to be nearly asleep.
He felt somewhat guilty interrupting you.
But it was now or never.
He walked in, not saying anything.
You sat up, closing your book.
Your stomach was in a knot.
The swordsman sat next to you, close enough that his knee touched yours.
He was sitting up straighter than usual, and seemed restless, fidgeting with his hands until he finally set his left hand on top of your right one that was resting beside you.
Your eyes widened, you were surprised by this, but didn’t say anything.
“Y/n, can I tell you something? I’ve been meaning to for a while but I- Well, I’ve never done anything like this before so I fucked it up. More than once. So I’m going to fix it right now.”
You nodded hesitantly, caught somewhat off-guard by his unusual behavior.
“I love you.”
Your heart stopped.
Everything around you momentarily stopped as your brain tried to catch up to speed with everything that had just happened.
In an instant you were suddenly hyper-aware of everything- the strong pulse of your heartbeat, the sweat that had gathered on your palms, how you felt suspended in both motion and time as he sat waiting for some kind of response.
But you knew Zoro, and recognized that rosy glow on his cheeks. You knew that when he approached you after midnight with unusual confidence and gusto, on a night when you’d all been celebrating.
How he always sat next to you, closer and closer every time, this time placing his hand on top of yours.
You broke eye contact to look down at your hands.
“I love you, too,” you chose to interpret it as a friendly drunken slip-up, “Make sure you tell everyone else that you love them too, or they’ll get jealous.”
You turned back to your book, trying to ignore the ache in your chest, covering it up with an unconvincing smile.
“No.”
You turned, confused, “N-no?”
“I meant it.”
You didn’t say anything, just stared at him.
“I love you.”
The air around the two of you was completely stagnant, full of tension.
He’d done this before; gotten drunk, been suddenly affectionate and touchy, and then acted completely normal the next day, even ignoring you when you tried to talk to him about it.
You weren’t going to let it happen again.
Scoffing, you brushed him off, moving your hand out from under his.
“You’re drunk,” you said, trying to ignore the disappointment that had started to spread throughout your body, “Why don’t you get some water? Or bread? But don’t do this to me again.”
You got up and placed your book down, ready to make your way to your room and try and forget anything had happened, like he would.
A hand grabbed your wrist, stopping you in your tracks.
Zoro stood up behind you and turned you around to face him.
“I’m not drunk,” he started, “Last thing I’d want to do is ruin this with some kind of idiotic drunken rant. I-I want to remember this- I want you to remember this!
Everything about this- how damn cold it is up here, what you’re wearing, what I say to you, how it ends, everything.”
His hands were squeezing your shoulders, and his stare was full of an intensity you couldn’t have reciprocated if you tried.
You’d seen him before in battle- swords drawn, back hunched, and eyes settled onto his victim like a hungry animal.
But this was different, it was vulnerable. He was being weak in front of you.
He took a deep breath.
You had never felt so focused in your life, your eyes were intently set on his and your brows furrowed in concentration as you took in everything about this moment.
“I love you! I love you and- and I don’t mean it the way we say it to each other in battle, or as crewmates.
I hate that! I hate calling you my crewmate, my friend, my companion.
You are!
You are, but I hate that that’s all I can call you.
So I came to you to tell you that I love you.
Entirely.”
He brought his hands down to interlace them with yours.
“I love you,” he said again, this time bending down slightly to level his eyesight with yours.
He looked at you with concern, lips slightly parted.
Your breath was shaky and you had unconsciously grabbed onto his forearms to stabilize yourself while you tried to process what was happening.
You stayed silent, your confusion as evident as his desperation.
Another few moments passed with no words exchanged, it felt like the whole world was holding its breath- waiting for you to say anything.
You took a deep breath and swallowed, your mind racing through the millions of different things you wanted to say.
How dare you? Are you serious? I love you too! I never want to talk to you again. I love you too! What happens now?
Zoro’s grip on your shoulders softened and his shoulders sunk. A look of disappointment settled itself onto his stoic features and he let go of you, in a kind of heartbroken acceptance.
He nodded, more to himself than you.
“Goodnight,” he said, walking back out.
“Zoro- Zoro, wait! Wait, please.”
He stopped and turned around- Were those tears in his eyes?
“I love you, too,” you said, in a much calmer tone than expected, “I have since I set foot on this ship, since I first saw you. I love you.”
His eyes widened and he picked you up in his arms, wrapping them around your waist as you sunk into his chest hugging him back with all the force you could muster.
He spun you around, pressing kisses to the top of your head.
You cried into his chest, and felt a tear or two fall onto your forehead when you looked up at him as he finally set you down.
“I thought that- I thought I’d fucked everything up and that-”
Zoro was rambling, his hands holding onto you again, with a grip that reassured you he didn’t want to let go.
You interrupted him by crashing your lips into his, sending him reeling backwards.
He landed on the floor, one arm breaking the fall and the other wrapped around you.
You straddled him and deepened the kiss bringing your hands to rest on his chest as he pulled you closer into his body.
The two of you kissed and kissed, pulling away only when you were desperate for breath, before resuming again.
When you were finally tired enough, you simply sat smiling like idiots at each other.
“I should’ve been honest with you months ago,” Zoro said, bringing a hand up to your face, his thumb gently brushing over your cheek.
You grabbed his forearm, leaning your cheek into his hold.
A smile spread out over your face.
“It’s okay, I knew.”
mihawk
He’d been dreading it for weeks- months, even.
Never in his life did he think that he’d find himself in a position of having to stay on Red Hair’s ship, but here he was. Sat at a table on the deck, an overflowing pint of beer in his hand, and Red Haired pirates laughing and swearing and drinking on all sides of him. And then out of nowhere, there was you.
They told him you’d been part of the crew for 5 months now, a rookie pirate in need of a ship and some stability and had found your way onto the Red Force after winning several games of poker against Shanks.
He’d had an eye on you from the moment you walked out onto the deck, in a pair of deliciously short shorts and a tank top that hugged your curves in the most alluring way he’d ever seen.
You poured yourself a pint and played a game of blackjack with members of the crew whose name’s he didn’t know, or care to know.
He sat with Shanks and the other officers in the crew.
“She’s somethin’, isn’t she?” Shanks asked, laughing as he took note of his friend’s interest in you, much to his evident annoyance.
“I suppose I just didn’t think a woman like that would be on a crew like yours, Red Hair.”
“Neither did we,” Benn chimed in, earning a playful nudge from his captain.
A sudden eruption of noise diverted their attention towards the betting table you were sitting at.
You were smiling, graciously accepting your winnings from your crewmates who were alleging cheating.
“There’s only four jacks in a deck!”
“I saw her hand moving!”
“She was card counting!”
Yasopp laughed and called you over, “Before they start swinging!”
You approached their table, weaving your way toward them through your drunk and rowdy crewmates, before taking a seat next to Mihawk, who was clearly uneasy with your presence.
What was he supposed to do? He felt a strange desire to make a good impression on you, and realized part of him was hoping to form a friendship. His stomach churned at the unusual feeling.
“Didn’t think I’d ever meet a legend like yourself,” you’d said to him, as you extended your hand, “Y/n, pleasure to meet you.
You’re a lot less scary in person! And a lot more handsome.”
You smelled like cherries and whiskey, sweet and addicting.
He took your hand, despite his embarrassment at your compliments and against his better judgment followed up with, “Likewise.”
Shanks whistled, and put his arm around the swordsman’s shoulders, “Never seen you flirt before!”
The table laughed and you asked Benn for a cigarette, bending over to let him light it for you.
“Calm down, Shanks,” you said as you puffed a small cloud of smoke, “No one’s flirting.”
He felt his chest tighten slightly, had you not been flirting? He wasn’t experienced but he figured that you had at least professed some kind of interest.
You turned to look at him and winked.
His chest tightened again.
Lucky had started another card game, and you played as you talked. Mihawk asked about your life before piracy- a story for another time, you’d told him. He talked about details of his life that were unknown even to Shanks- small things like his garden at home, his favorite things to cook, and even certain details of his warlord duties. It was unlike him to share anything with anyone, but the way you stared up at him batting your big doe eyes with a cigarette hanging lazily from your plump glossy lips… he found himself unable to resist the urge to keep you interested in his presence.
The noise of the ship eventually faded into the background, the talking and laughing melting into their own conversations.
Hours passed and eventually music started playing, some other new crew members that had brought their instruments on board with them.
“We finally have some good musicians, don’t we Y/n?” Shanks asked.
“Mhmm,” you replied, looking through your cards barely paying him any attention. You tapped your feet rhythmically against the floor, humming along to the quick paced flamenco melody that was playing.
“Do you dance, swordsman?” you asked, turning to look at Mihawk.
You heard Shanks groan in the background.
“Occasionally.”
You set your cards down, face up, revealing a winning hand. The rest of the table threw their cards down in frustration.
“Will you do me the honors?”
A rare smile settled onto his face. He offered his hand to help you up out of your chair, and you guided him to a more open area on the deck. He placed a hand on your waist, and you took a guilty pleasure in how unyielding his grip was against you. You could feel the pads of each of his fingers holding onto your soft skin, and trailed your hand up to his face, lightly tracing a finger down the side of his neck before resting your hand on his shoulder.
People whistled and clapped.
“Keep up,” you said.
“I’ll try.”
He appreciated your warning, you were like a different person when dancing. The cool, calculated demeanor you adopted when playing cards with your poker face perfected and your breathing steady and even, was completely washed over by a fiery intent to move.
He did struggle to keep up at first, you slipped through his hold like water, your feet moving and landing between and around him like a downpour of rain.
He managed to match your tempo- catch the tail end of your movements and proved a worthy partner, but he didn’t come close to matching your mastery of the art.
By the time the song was finished beads of sweat dripped down his neck, and his heart was pounding loud enough that he could barely hear the cheering coming from the other pirates.
He wanted to give you the credit of wearing someone of his caliber out, he could take on a hundred men and barely increase his heart rate.
This was different though- the beating in his chest, the excitement in his belly, the way his eyes clung to your figure as though attached with string. He couldn’t get enough of you, he inhaled smelling your perfume again.
Another smile settled onto his face, one of satisfaction.
Three week had passed and Mihawk was grabbing the last of his things- a photo of the two of you you’d forced him to take. It was of you pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Shanks lightly knocked on his door.
“Sure you don’t want to stay another week?” he asked, awkwardly standing by the door.
“That’s what you came to ask?”
Shanks rubbed the back of his neck, “No, it’s actually about Y/n.”
This caught his attention.
“What about her?”
“Well,” Shanks walked over to sit on the bed, “I think you should talk to her before you leave, tell her how ya feel.”
“How I… feel? And how exactly do you think I feel?”
“C’mon man, it’s obvious- No offense. The way you two look at each other? You danced with her. In front of people.”
The swordsman scoffed, but didn’t disagree and chose to maintain his silence as he packed the rest of his clothes.
“She likes ya, Hawk-eye. I think you knew that though.
Don’t say anything if you’re gonna hurt her.”
He got up and gave him a friendly pat on the back before heading back out, “We’re headed to a bar right now, so you’ll have the ship to yourself. Take care of her!”
It was unclear whether he was talking about the ship or you.
Mihawk sighed, he adjusted the collar of his loosely fitting white shirt, and set out to find you.
You were in one of the common areas, one of the musicians was showing you how to play the guitar. Plucking at a few strings here and there, you laughed and sang, trying to play a song with your clearly limited ability.
Mihawk stood and watched you for a moment, before clearing his throat.
You turned, smiling when you saw him.
“What do you think? Good enough to dance to?”
He let out a light laugh, “Maybe in ten years.”
You smiled, plucking a few more strings before asking, “What brings you here? Shouldn’t you be packing?”
“I was hoping to speak with you for a moment,” he paused when you stayed put, “Alone.”
Your eyes widened, “Oh! Of course!”
You handed the guitar back to its owner, ignoring the whistles that followed you out of the room.
You took Mihawk’s arm and walked toward the deck, your stomach turning.
You stopped at the railing, leaning over it, trying to take deep breaths of the salty air to calm yourself.
What on Earth could he have to talk to you about? Shanks had promised not to say anything… Could he possibly-
“I’m… very appreciative of your company these past few weeks.
You’re a very intelligent, talented, beautiful woman, and I cannot think of a better companion with whom to have spent my time,” he started, interrupting your train of thought.
You softly smiled, a light breeze dancing around you both.
You said nothing and only looked up at him, unsure of how to pick up from where he left off.
Luckily, he continued, “You… You are a good friend. Of mine, I mean. And I hope that my departure from this ship won’t change our proximity.”
Friend. A dull, warm pain ebbed in your chest.
It wasn’t sharp like a direct rejection would have been, it felt more like a heavy rock had been gently placed right on your heart.
You nodded, looking out toward the ocean when you felt some tears well up in your lash line.
Blinking them away you turned back toward him suddenly emboldened by the memory of how he held you that night when you danced.
“I hope this isn’t too forward, but can I ask if you hold me in any higher regard than that of a friend?”
He was silent. Color rushed to his cheeks and he stared down at you. His eyes were undersold in legend. To say they were hypnotizing was a disservice. They were compelling- when you made eye contact with him your entire being longed to be with him.
“I do.”
You exhaled, tension lifting itself from your shoulders.
“I like you, swordsman,” you gently wrapped your hands around his, bringing his hand up to your chest, placing it against the left side, “I’ll miss dancing with you. Please visit. Please don’t forget me.”
In a sudden motion, Mihawk wrapped you into his chest, his strong arms wrapping around your shoulders as he pressed you into him.
You wiggled your arms free and quickly reciprocated the hug.
You breathed in a long, long inhale, and as you exhaled sunk even further into him.
“I’ll visit,” he promised, “I’ll write. I’ll call- I’ll think of you always. You’re quite unforgettable, you know?”
You laughed and looked up to him as his hold on you softened.
You inched yourself up onto the tips of your toes, hovering your lips just slightly over his.
A smile creeped onto his face, and his hands dispersed across your body, one grabbing onto your ass- something he’d longed to do since the first moment he saw you. The other hand wrapped around your waist to provide you support.
You brought your hands to the collar of his shirt, gently tugging him toward you.
His lips closed around yours, and you deepened the kiss- pulling him closer into you, your tongues swiping at each other as you closed your eyes and indulged.
You inhaled each other- the taste of wine and mint flooding your mouth, the smell of his cologne overwhelming your senses.
The strong grip he had on your ass was so deliciously indulgent.
You let out a soft moan into his mouth before you pulled away from one another.
He tucked some stray hair behind your ears, and you gently wiped some of your gloss from his bottom lip.
“I’ve been waiting for that for weeks now.”
He picked you up, making his way toward your room, peppering your face and neck with kisses and you laughed and kissed him back.
“Let me make it up to you, hermosa.”

𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 yakuza! roronoa zoro x f! reader. [+𝟏𝟖]
❀ tw: MDNI. Would you like to serve a mafia boss like Zoro as his sugar baby? I would. car fucking. squirting. pure smut. creampie. I do not romanticise mafia, this is just fiction. ❀ wc: 1.3k
Who carries a katana nowadays?
Why, from all the men you could have fallen with, you chose him? Having an affair with a Yakuza should be the last thing to do for a young woman like you… and yet, there you are still, getting inside an all-black car, with armoured walls and windows.
Your tiny frame compared to his gets dragged to the back seat and then over his lap.
“New perfume, hm?” he asks, nuzzling on your neck.
Straight nose, lips a little cracked. Strong arms around your waist, pressing you down. Zoro, better known as the King of Hell around friends and foes, needs to destress after a long day making business…
“You bought it for me, King of Hell” you mumble, almost robotically. You don’t want to commit any type of mistake… you are there, only and for one purpose; serve Roronoa Zoro with your body.
Truth is that you are scared of him, and yet, you can’t wait for the night to come to get absolutely destroyed by his demonic thrusts.
“Good girl… I thought of a special plan tonight. I kinda wanna have some fun, some drinks and perhaps fuck you anywhere I please” he says, so nonchalantly as he squeezes one of your breasts.
You jolt to his touch; you are used to this treatment. Is not disrespectful, he only does what the contract you signed stipulated.
The bumpy roads of the city he controls become a blessing for a shameless hardness growing underneath of your legs.
“I’m already getting hard, maybe we won’t get to the place without me filling that pussy with cum…” he whispers, with raspier sexy voice, in your ear. Zoro bites your neck soon after, owning a beautiful moaning coming from your lips.
“In fact, stand up” he commands, lifting you up from your waist. His strong arms can make his katana cut steel; you weight nothing to him.
The sound of his black pants zipper going down competes against the melody of your accelerated breathing. He wants to fuck you right there, in the car, with the chauffer a few centimetres from where you are. And the only things separating you from him is nothing but a black frosted plastic.
Slowly turning around, you see him pumping his dick to get ready for your walls. There isn’t much space, even if the car is pretty big, is just what it is. The windows have gotten pretty foggy already, your skin is burning.
“Com’ere” he orders, so impassively calmed, with a hand on his sex and the other one loosening his tie.
You nod, lifting the tiny skirt you are expected to wear, with of course, no panties underneath.
Biting your lower lip, you slowly get closer to his sex by sitting back into position.
However, Zoro has no time to lose, and he needs to feel your warmth around his shaft now.
Huge hands, with a thumb pretty calloused, squeeze your hips. “Sit down already” he grunts, pressing you violently against his lap.
Hardness that feels like the sharp of his katanas impaling you, makes you moan loudly. Some tears form in the corners of your eyes, and a mixture of pain and pleasure invade your body leaving your brain completely blank.
“Ugh, so tight! I just love to fuck you, little bitch” he growls, as he begins to pump inside you, deeper each time. Your legs hang on each side of his legs, without reaching the floor of the car. No matter how tall you are, you aint bigger than him.
Zoro lets go of your hips to invade your chest in between jumping buttons of a Gucci shirt he bought for you.
The erect part of your nipples, so sensitive, feels like the perfect place to pinch for him. He is rough, but precise. He knows exactly where to squeeze, where to pull too.
Your back lays over his prominent chest, and the interior of the vehicle smells like sex. His own body scent is stronger than any perfume… and it’s spellbinding to you.
As he keeps fucking you, you notice the car isn’t moving. The lights of Shibuya cross outside show that once again you are stuck in the typical rush hour of Tokyo. But he doesn’t care, nor you do.
“Spread those legs, bitch” he tells you, passing his hands from behind to your inner thighs. Mercilessly, Zoro spread them by carving his nails on your flesh.
He smirks, biting your shoulder with no delicacy. “What about ruining the upholstered, mh?” he laughs, still inside you and his hands in behind your knees to keep your legs open as much as he can. Your ass is also brought a little further, making his dick to fully hit your special spot with indescribable pressure and pleasure.
Your eyes open wide, your accelerated breathing; the shame in you too high to even let you say something.
The depraved yakuza wants you to cum all over the seat… why? Oh, cause he can. Cause he wants. Cause he have thousands of cars too. And also, because he despise his chauffer named Sanji… he wants him to clean the seats.
It takes Zoro a matter of seconds -and deadly thrusts- for you to experience in your guts the “losing control” feeling.
“I can feel you are throbbing around my dick, that means you are close… aren’t you? Come on, I want to see you so wet before I fill you up” he keeps whispering, low, with warm breath and some nibbling on the lobe of your ear.
You can only nod frantically, short of air, printing your palm on the foggy surface of the car window. “Yeh- yes… King of Hell…” you whine, feeling exactly what he described; an unstoppable throbbing that will soon lead you to explode.
He goes harder, even faster. Your eyes going white, a pressure building in your core and dripping fluids running through the sides of his caramel, veiny dick.
Zoro can sense the pressure pushing his sex out of your spasming walls. He keeps going, forcing it to keep growing inside your womb, trying to make your belly bloated from pressure and his thrusts. He wants your climax to be strong enough to push him out of you. And with his perfect demonic hips rhythm that doesn’t take longer to arrive…
“Zo-Zoro-sama!!!” you moan, loud enough to be heard by half Tokyo -not to mention by the chauffer-
“Come on, little bitch! Cum, now” he celebrates, allowing a big pushing spasm to make him slide out of you. As he predicted, you explode. Dripping, with a stream tinting in the soft red lights filtering through the foggy windows, getting everything around wet.
Your nails carved into the sides of his muscular thighs, as a sign of your body trying to grab for dear life not to pass out…
“FUCK, FUCK FUCK FUCK!” You repeatedly swear, making your green haired dom to laugh so pleased for your reaction.
And as you tremble, because of non-stoppable waves of climax, he impales your right back in.
This time, Zoro lets go of your legs, and now he pushes you against the plastic wall in front of you. Your cheek squeezed against it, seeing the blurry image of the driver through that not that private separation.
Zoro’s hands land on each side of your face, also pressed against the plastic. It cracks a little, yet it is able to hold both of your weights.
His back hits the roof of the car, and he doesn’t care. Zoro only wants to finish, and for that he will have to fuck you just a little longer.
Your inner thighs are completely dampened, and the once again penetration makes won’t allow you to rest. A state of constant climax has invade you, it isn’t stopping… you aren’t breathing properly, you aren’t even thinking straight.
Completely dampened in your fluids, you are about to be blessed with the sticky release of the man who posses you.
One of Zoro’s hands passes around your neck, gripping tightly to it. Big enough to grab it all, to squeeze it and make sure not a single molecule of oxygen reaches your lungs.
“I want you to walk inside the bar with my cum dripping down your legs, ok? My sweet little bitch?” he murmurs, causing you to shiver strongly than you have been until now.
“Ye-yes, Zoro-sama” “Good girl, I might wanna make you my wife after all… now… Hold. It. In. Until. We. Arrive…”

Your Highness - Sanji x Reader: Part Two
PART ONE PART THREE
plot: you’re a runaway princess bride who finds her way into the straw hat crew. you expected one hell of an adventure, but you never expected to fall for the head chef. things get even more complicated when your father, the king, and your ex-fiancé send their troops after the going merry. now you must choose between surrendering to save your crew and being with the only man you’ve ever truly loved. but of course, the straw hat crew isn’t going to let you go without a fight. especially sanji.
—————
It was half past seven. The sunset was just beginning to pour through the windows on the sides of the ship, but you hardly noticed. All you were focused on was the clank of your sword against Zoro’s, and where you were going to place your feet next.
You began to notice that a sword fight was kind of like a dance. The two of you moved in perfect rhythm, twirling around the floor of the cabin and brandishing your weapons towards one another.
Thinking you were gaining some high ground, you jumped up on the counter. However your balance was off, and Zoro easily took your legs out from under you, causing you to flop down flat onto the counter. He held the blade of his sword against your neck, looking at you with a sympathetic smirk.
You simply rolled your eyes and sighed. “I can’t believe I lost again.”
He removed the blade from your neck and sheathed it back in its holder around his waist. “Maybe, but that’s the longest you’ve ever lasted sparring with me. And I don’t even have to hold back anymore.”
You straightened yourself up, holding your hands in your lap and slumping your shoulders defeatedly. “Yeah, but I’m still not very good at this.”
Zoro looked at you with an annoyed glare. “Don’t be stupid. You have great natural talent and raw strength.”
“Well, my father was revered as one of the best swordsmans of his time. Although, he’s nothing compared to you.”
He tried to fight the half smile that was creeping it’s way onto his expression. “Well anyway,” he coughed awkwardly, “stuff like this just takes practice. You’ve only been at this for a couple months now. So don’t beat yourself up too bad. The important thing is you can hold your own in a fight now.”
You winced. You still hadn’t actually fought anyone yet. You’d been sparring with Zoro for a little while now, but he was still the only one you’d ever fought. You didn’t quite now how you would fare in an actual brawl. The thought of attacking someone frightened you. You were about to vocalize your concerns, but were interrupted by the sound of footsteps pounding down the stairs.
“Zoro, may I please have my princess back now?” Sanji whined as he descended the staircase.
“Whatever.” Zoro rolled his eyes, pushing past Sanji to walk upstairs.
“I’ll never understand why you two don’t get along.” you chuckled, wrapping your arms around Sanji’s neck.
“He’s just jealous that there’s another handsome fighter on the crew.” Sanji mused, placing his own arms around your waist. “And that I have a beautiful princess in love with me.” He leaned down to peck your lips, and you met him halfway in a sweet kiss. “We’re almost to the village, love.”
“Okay, I’ll be up in a second. I just want to practice a couple more moves.” you responded.
He sighed and pouted his lips. “My dear, I think you’ve practiced enough today. I don’t need my girl getting all worn out. It’s not good for you.”
You gave him a sympathetic smile. “That’s very sweet Sanji, but if I’m ever going to be a good swordsman, I’ve got to practice as much as possible.”
“Fine…” he huffed, throwing his arms up defeatedly. “But don’t expect another massage from me tonight, I tried to warn you.”
—————
Once the crew had gathered all their supplies, you were all wandering the village square looking for either a place to lodge or a place to eat.
“It looks like we’re only going to be able to afford one of those.” Nami sighed, counting the rest of your guys’ money. “We sold Y/N’s last piece of jewelry to get us these supplies, and there wasn’t much leftover.”
Luffy suddenly sniffed the air and began running off wherever his nose was leading him. He finally stopped in front of a pub that looked like it had an inn upstairs. “Here.” he instructed.
“Luffy, we don’t-“ Nami tried to protest, but the captain was already bursting through the front doors. You all reluctantly followed him in, just to see him already bargaining with the owner at his podium.
“Come on, sir. We’ll pay for our rooms and then I’ll give you an IOU for dinner. I’m going to be king of the pirates one day, so I’ll be sure to pay you back.” Luffy suggested with an innocent smile.
“God, you never learn, do you, captain?” Sanji grumbled, rubbing his brow frustratedly.
“We do not accept IOUs as payment.” the owner huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can get you three bedrooms, but that’s all, unless you can find some other way to pay for dinner.”
You all looked at each other worriedly. You had to eat, there was no way of getting back to the ship until tomorrow morning.
Suddenly, a nervous looking waiter approached the owner. “Sir, the guests are growing restless without any live singing.”
“Give them all a free dessert.” the owner suggested, trying to wave him off to go back to your conversation.
“I already did sir.” the waiter mumbled anxiously. “They said that the band is great, but it really would be better with a singer.”
The owner sighed. “Well, I don’t know what to tell them. Dahlia quit on us last night, and haven’t found another-“
“Excuse me, gentlemen…” Sanji interrupted their conversation, making all of you stare at him curiously, “But am I to understand that you’re in need of a live singer?”
The owner nodded disappointedly. “Yes, we are.”
“Well here’s your singer right here!” Sanji clapped his hands on your shoulders and jutted you forward.
“Sanji, no!” you protested, turning around to hide your face. He just flipped you back around and brandished you to the owner.
“She has the most beautiful voice. I’ve heard her sing, it’s like a choir of angels.” Sanji went on, beaming proudly as he boasted about your talents.
The owner looked you over, then shrugged. “Alright. I’m desperate. If you can sing for our pub tonight, I’ll give you and all of your party free dinners.”
Your crew members all looked at you pleadingly. You could tell they were all as starving as you were, and couldn’t stand to see the hunger in their eyes. You looked over at Sanji. His icy blue eyes were swimming with confidence and sincerity. He gave you a nod.
“Alright. I’ll do it.” you agreed, squinting your eyes shut. The crew all erupted in applause for you, besides Zoro, who just looked up the ceiling in relief.
“Wonderful.” the owner mused, flashing a pleased smile at you. “You’ll have to change clothes, but other than that, you’re good to go. You’re so beautiful that I’m sure the audience will love you, even if you’re not that good at singing.”
You chuckled awkwardly. You heard Sanji click his tongue out of jealousy next to you.
“Well she is an amazing singer, so that won’t be a possibility.” Sanji refuted. He was smiling, but his eyes were shooting daggers at the man. “Could you show us where she can get ready? I’d like to accompany her.” You could tell he meant to say there’s no way he was letting this guy take you somewhere alone.
You just pressed your lips together to avoid smiling at how cute he was when he was jealous.
Only a few minutes later, you were being ushered on stage in a dress that wasn’t yours, and all eyes were on you.
You looked like a deer in the headlights, wide eyes shifting over all the members of the audience. You were at a loss for words. No one had ever given you permission to speak in front of a crowd. You finally saw the straw hat crew sitting at a table towards the back. They were all smiling encouragingly, none more so than Sanji. You looked at him for direction, to which he just gave you a small nod. “You’ve got this, your highness.” he mouthed.
He was right. You were a princess. You could do this. You swallowed the hard lump in your throat and cleared it, stepping forward with grace and nobility. “Good evening, patrons of the pub… You’re probably all used to a different singer, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be filling in for you guys tonight.” You turned around and nodded to the band, who began playing your first song.
You bobbed your head to the beat, waiting for your cue. Everyone seemed intrigued and focused on you. Luckily, no one looked malicious or judgemental. Finally, you took a breath and began singing, the sound of your voice filling up the quiet room and bouncing off the walls.
As the song went on, and you got to showcase some of your most powerful notes, you received a couple impressed cheers from the audience. You smiled, gaining confidence, and got more into your performance.
Suddenly, your eyes locked in on Sanji’s. The way he was looking at you gave you chills. His eyes were sparkling with admiration and love, and his fingers rubbed loosely against his lips in an effort to contain the proud, enormous grin on his face. His smile was so wide it looked like it would break his face. No one had ever looked at you like that. And as your song ended, you felt as if you were the only two people in the pub.
You were snapped out of your trance by the entire pub getting to their feet and applauding you, happily giving you a standing ovation. You giggled excitedly and did a small curtesy, accepting their praise. You waved back to the crew, who looked so proud of their princess. Sanji looked like he was about to cry. You blew a kiss to him, making him laugh heartily.
You went on performing for another half hour, until the owner came out on stage between songs.
“Alright everyone, give it up for tonight’s singer!” he boomed, leading the crowd in applause. “We’re gonna give her a break, but she’ll be back soon!” You waved goodbye to everyone as he ushered you to your table with the rest of the crew.
“That was amazing. Your voice is just as beautiful as you are.” the owner smirked, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear as you sat in your seat.
You shuddered uncomfortably, glancing at Sanji nervously. He cleared his throat to settle the anger boiling beneath his calm exterior, then resumed a playful expression.
“Mr. Owner. While I’m very grateful for the arrangement we’ve made, I’m going to have to ask you to keep your hands off Miss Y/N. Otherwise, there will be consequences.” he hissed, a dangerous smirk slithering onto his face.
The owner backed away, clearly threatened, although obviously annoyed. “Understood. I’ll go check on your dinners.” He then sauntered off into the kitchen, leaving you to your crew, who all began praising you in unison.
“That was incredible, Y/N!” Nami beamed, shaking your arm lightly.
“Yeah seriously, you could be a professional!” Luffy grinned.
“We’re gonna have you sing everytime we go somewhere! We’ll never have to pay for dinner again!” Ussop cheered, patting you on the shoulder.
“That was really good.” Zoro said flatly. However, there was a look of genuine admiration in his eyes that let you know he meant it.
“Thanks guys…” you replied bashfully. “At first. I was so nervous I thought I was going to pass out. But once I started singing, I just kind of blacked out and went for it!”
“Well, you did a wonderful job, just as I told you you would.” Sanji praised, taking your hand in his. “You were brilliant, your highness.”
You blushed with a warm smile, not knowing what to say. However, you didn’t have to say anything, because the chefs began bringing your food and drinks to your table and setting them in front of you.
Luffy stood up, raising his mug in the air. “To the princess of the Going Merry!”
“To the princess of the Going Merry!” your crew all cheered, clinking their glasses together in a toast.
You all began devouring the plates of food in front of you. While the owner was smarmy and gross, he at least didn’t skimp on the portions. You were all lost in a spirited conversation when a jovial looking older man approached you.
“Excuse me miss, I’m sorry to interrupt your dinner…” he began, an interested glint in his eyes, “But I just had to tell you what an amazing performance you just gave!”
You smiled back at him, bowing your head gratefully. “Thank you, sir!”
“And how pretty you are!” he complimented. “Has anyone ever told you that you look strikingly similar to the eldest princess of Dacovia?”
Your heart sunk. It felt like this man just punched you in the stomach, and now you were falling down a deep, dark well. For months, no one had even mentioned Dacovia to you. Now, here was the stark reminder of the life you had left behind.
“No sir, unfortunately I’ve never been to Dacovia.” you coughed nervously, eyes darting away from him.
“Really? How funny. Well, enjoy your dinner, miss!” he finished, walking back to his table.
You looked at the rest of the crew, who had the same look of panic on their faces as you did. You all sat there in silence for a moment, no one wanting to be the first one to break it.
“It’s okay.” Luffy finally spoke quietly, an uncharacteristically serious expression on his face. “It’s just a coincidence.”
“We don’t know that.” you huffed, leaning forward as to make sure no one heard. “What if he’s a spy for my father?”
“We’re pretty far from Dacovia now, Y/N…” Nami tried to comfort you, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“You don’t know my father.” you retorted, shaking your head. “He sees me as his property. And if he wanted to, he’d stop at nothing to bring me back to Dacovia to resume my role as his pawn.”
“We’re not going to let that happen, okay?” Sanji reassured you, rubbing his thumb along the back of your hand. You looked into his eyes. The pale shade of cornflower calmed you instantly, causing you to release the tension in your muscles.
“He’s right.” Zoro stated. You all turned to him with a shocked expression. “What?” he asked.
“I can’t believe you just agreed with Sanji.” Ussop chuckled, causing the rest of you to erupt with laughter.
Zoro just rolled his eyes and took another swig from his mug. “Well, it’s true. We’re going to fight to keep Y/N on our crew, right?”
“Of course we are.” Luffy replied, trying to stifle his chuckles. He then looked to you with a smile. “You’re our princess after all.”
You smiled appreciatively, tears welling up in your eyes. Maybe it was foolish to believe them, but you couldn’t help it. You truly loved all of them so much that it was hard to picture leaving them without a fight. Then again, you still had yet to be in an actual fight, which you were still harboring anxiety about.
“Just remain calm and finish your performance tonight. Sanji instructed, ruffling your hair slightly. “We’ll leave first thing in the morning, just to cover our tracks.”
You nodded, going back to your plate. “Sure. Just let me finish my dinner first. Although, it’s not as good as anything you could’ve made.” you grinned cheerfully.
—————
Around midnight, you were finally curled up in a warm bed, something you had forgotten the feeling of after all your time at sea. Sanji shuffled next to you, both of you now staring up at the ceiling. The two of you decided to share a room, as you were now an item. Nami and Zoro decided they would sleep better with each other than with the talkative Luffy or Ussop, and stuck the two of them together.
“I should not have said your name.” Sanji suddenly stated regretfully.
You turned your head to face him. “What do you mean?”
“When the owner was putting his filthy hands on you.” he sneered. “I called you by your name. It was dangerous of me to act on my jealousy.”
You clicked your tongue dismissively, rolling back in place. “It’s fine. The whole crew did a toast to ‘the princess of the Going Merry.’ I’m sure everyone heard that better than you saying my name.”
“Yes, but I’m the one who suggested you sing tonight.” he grumbled, placing his hands over his eyes to rub them frustratedly. “It wasn’t smart to draw all that attention to you either.”
“Sanji, we needed to eat. I could feel my stomach beginning to digest itself.” you chuckled, rolling over to prop your elbow up and look at him. You removed his hands from his eyes, prompting him to look up at you. “This isn’t all on you, love.”
He sighed, flashing you a grateful half smile. “I just can’t bear the thought of losing you.”
“I’m not going anywhere.” you told him, brushing back the blonde strands of hair that flopped over his forehead. “I promise.” You leaned down to kiss him tenderly, connecting your lips and deepening it slightly before slowly pulling away. “Now, let’s get some sleep. We have to leave early tomorrow.”
“Alright…” he agreed, shuffling back to his sleeping position. “Goodnight, your highness.”
“Goodnight, Sanji.” you replied, curling up against your pillow.
As you tried to drift off to sleep, you began thinking too much about the situation. It was easy to make a promise to Sanji when he was worried, but would you really be able to keep it? What if your father was trying to find you? If he did, he would certainly be able to get people to bend to his will. He ruled with an iron fist, and was relentless in his conquests. Should he attack the crew, you didn’t know how well they would fare. It wasn’t that you questioned the crew’s abilities. You had watched them take down the marines like they were just a bunch of kids on the playground, and Luffy was made of rubber for god’s sake. It was just that you knew how powerful your father was. And you didn’t know if he would show any mercy.
You glanced over at Sanji next to you. It looked like he was already fast asleep. Your eyes welled with tears as you pictured him getting hurt, or worse. You leaned over and kissed his forehead gently.
“I promise to keep you safe, Sanji. Whatever it takes.”
—————
Just as Sanji had proposed, you had all left so early the next morning that the roosters weren’t even crowing yet. You docked ship as soon as you could and set back off onto the seas.
Everyone was a little bit on edge, constantly checking to see if you were being followed. Zoro had insisted on doubling down in your training, pushing you as hard as you could go. You were a little exhausted, but still grateful that he was teaching you how to fight.
Sanji was a nervous wreck. He wouldn’t leave your side for a moment, whenever you weren’t training that is. He had also insisted on moving you into his bedroom so he could protect you if something happened in the middle of the night. His cooking even tasted different. You hated seeing him like this. You wished more than anything that things could just go back to the way they were a few days ago.
As time passed, the crew began to relax a bit. All except for Sanji. He only seemed to get more anxious, more protective. It wasn’t like him to not be playful and optimistic. You started to wonder if being with you was really good for him…
The day things changed was about a week after you had left the small village with the pub. You were sitting on the deck floor with Sanji, playing a card game with him while he smoked a cigarette. It seemed to be the only thing that would calm him down lately. Nami was in the crow’s nest, and Zoro and Luffy were looking off the starboard at the ocean.
“Guys!” Ussop exclaimed from his place at the bow of the ship. “There’s a huge ship coming towards us!”
You all sprinted over to where he was standing to see it for yourselves. You gasped at the enormous boat looming over in the distance. It literally looked as if it could swallow the Going Merry whole. The bow was lined with several canons and countless soldiers looking down the barrels of their guns at you.
Panic sunk into the crew all at once. You all began scurrying around for your weapons, jumping into each other and fumbling around on the deck.
“Y/N!” Zoro called, making you turn around. He unsheathed one of his swords and tossed it to you. You caught it in the air, gripping the handle firmly. As you studied the blade, you wondered how it would feel to use it against somebody. It made your stomach turn. You glanced around at the crew, who was all standing at the ready. Luffy stood protectively in front of everyone, ready to absorb any ammo that was thrown your way.
“Attention pirates!” a deep voice bellowed from the opposing ship as it approached you. You froze as you glanced up at the speaker. It was your father, right there in front of you. “By order of the royal family of Dacovia, we command you to return the princess at once! If you do not, we will release fire!”
“How did you even find me, father?” you screeched, a deep rage boiling over the brim of your heart, threatening to explode out of your chest.
“You left us a little clue, my dear fiancée.” a new voice boasted smugly. You immediately recognized it as your former fiancé’s, the prince’s. He suddenly appeared next to your father, dangling a white heeled shoe by his finger.
You gasped. Of course. They found the shoe you lost by the docks before you boarded the Going Merry.
“And it was easy to bargain with a disgruntled small village pub owner. We showed him the smallest amount of gold and he immediately told us where you were.” The prince bragged gleefully. “Your boyfriend shouldn’t have been so jealous.”
Your father held up a hand to silence him. “This is your last chance, daughter. Surrender yourself to me now, and I won’t have to kill all your little friends.”
“We’ll never give her to you!” Sanji bellowed from his place next to you. You gulped, glancing over at him. You had never seen him look so dangerous. Almost like… he was willing to die for you. You looked around at the rest of the crew, and realized they all had that same look in their eyes. It was the same one you noticed when you first met them. The passionate determination they all had to achieve their dreams. You winced as you thought about losing them, about being the reason they never got to achieve their goals. You couldn’t bear it a second longer.
“Alright, have it your way.” your father sneered, motioning to his troops. “Soldiers! Prepare to attack!” They all stood at attention. “Ready! Aim…”
“Stop!” you screamed from the bottom of your stomach. It was so loud that even your father jumped.
He leaned forward expectantly. “Yes, daughter?”
“I’ll go with you.” you croaked, angry tears spilling from your eyes. “But you must promise to never hurt them.”
“You have my honor as a king.” he swore, brandishing his King’s ring at you as a sign of his honesty. You nodded reluctantly, and he motioned for the troops to extend the platform for you to board his ship.
“No, no, no, you can’t do this Y/N, please…” Sanji pleaded, desperately gripping onto your shoulders as if you were going to disintegrate out of his grasp. Tears were trickling down from his eyes as well. “Please, don’t go…”
You choked down the sharp sob that threatened to erupt from your throat. “Sanji, listen to me…”
“No! I don’t want to, because I know what you’re going to say.” he cried, grabbing your face and pressing his forehead against yours.
You took his hands in yours, holding them to your chest. “Sanji, I’m not good for you. I’ve been destroying you for the past week. And if I lead you to your death… I’d never forgive myself.” you sniffled, glancing down at the ground.
He shook his head, squinting his eyes. “You promised. You promised me you weren’t going anywhere.” He dropped his head into your neck and began sobbing into it. It absolutely broke your heart what you had to do, but you loved him too much not to do it.
You tilted his head up to look him in the eye, giving him a pathetic smile. “Sometimes you have to break promises to protect those you care about.” You then leaned in and gave him one last passionate kiss, letting him now how irrevocably in love with him you were despite what you were doing. “Goodbye, Sanji.”
You let him go, allowing him to fall to his knees on the deck. The rest of the crew rushed to him in an attempt to comfort him, except Luffy. He was looking at you with so much sadness that it made you want to jump into the ocean and drown.
You gave him a tiny wave and a teary smile. “Thank you for making me your princess, captain. But I have to go now. Come visit Dacovia when you’re king of the pirates.”
And with that, you ascended the platform onto your fathers’ ship, sailing back to your home country. You knew exactly what awaited you when you returned. Another wedding. And this time, your father would make sure you couldn’t run away.
