My favourite tomb in the Cathedral of Barcelona (Catalonia). This is Antoni Tallander —known at the time as Mossèn Borra, Lord Borra—, who was master of jesters.

His is the only tombstone in the Cathedral that's not made of stone. It's made of bronze, and has the Latin inscription "Hic jacet Dominus Borra miles gloriosus. Facta fuit sepultura ista anno domini MCCCCXXXIII", which means "Here lies Lord Borra, glorious soldier. This tombstone was made in the year of Our Lord 1433." He was not a soldier, even less a glorious one; the term "glorious soldier" is a joke and a reference to the comedy play of the same name by the Roman playwriter Plautus.

He served as jester in the courts of two kings of Catalonia-Aragon: Martin the Humane's (Martí l'Humà) in Sicily and Alphonse the Magnanimous' (Alfons el Magnànim) in Naples. King Martin held him in such high esteem that he entrusted him with diplomatic missions, which led him to take part in the Council of Constance and follow the Holy Roman Emperor Segismund, reporting back to the king via letters. According to the legend, the last thing king Martin did before dying was laughing at a joke Borra made.

it had been a month since the war between the fae and humans, a month since the crowning of the new king and queen. it had definitely been a strange change from the old home you once knew. instead of being confined without the walls of the large cave, you now had a forest and open sky to soar in. Many of the fae had gone to the Moores and lived under the protection of Maleficent and each other. though some did stay in the old home, believing that it would be too dangerous to live so close to the human kingdom. you had expected one of those fae to be Borra. seeing as how he despised humans and all they stood for, but to your surprise you found him lying on the crooked stump of a tree, bathing in the sun's warmth that shone between the leaves. you quietly walked over, your wings held up so as to not make noise against the ground, not wanting to wake him if he was asleep. As you neared you couldn't help but admire the way that the sun hit his face, illuminating his features. "Enjoying what you see y/n?" he asks with a closed eye expression, a teasing smirk gracing his face. "it's hard not to" you laugh "I'm surprised to see you, i honestly thought you would've stayed in our old home." you says sitting beside him "i honestly debated it, i understand that the human king and queen of alstead are close with maleficent and the creatures of the moores. but it is not them I'm worried about" he says, his playful smirk fading into a scowl at the thought of what the other human kingdoms may be planning. "so then why stay? what changed your mind enough to go against what you fear" you ask leaning your head on his shoulder. he doesn't answer, just softly takes your chin in his hand and brings his lips to yours. your kiss lasts a few seconds, but it feels like an eternity for you. "Does that answer your question" he mumbles against your lips, before returning to the kiss. you smile against him, butterfly fluttering in your stomach. the two of you stay like that for a few moments more, before pulling away and smiling at each other with love. "I've loved you for many years y/n," he says sweetly "Then why have you never said anything borra?" you ask "I was afraid of your rejection." he says. "i would never reject you borra, I love you too" you say leaning in and kissing him once more. even though they were rare, happy ever afters did exist along with true loves kiss. and you knew that this was yours.

Lord Borras was among the neediest of allies Astor had accumulated over the years, outmatched only by Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan—but, unfortunately for Lord Borras, he was not quite at the same level of importance when it came to the grand plan of Calamity Gabon’s revival. As such, Astor could not spend his time and effort and attention catering to him, a fact which he had tried to gently outline in his numerous…numerous…numerous letters.

It seemed Lord Borras did not agree.

To calm the steam, Astor agreed to meet him at a small pub with few patrons, where he could properly assuage all those pesky doubts. Lord Borras was not a terribly complicated man. He wanted to be important, wanted to feel important, and didn’t care for how his title of Lord only carried so far. He wanted the respect of princes and kings—in short, he was an easy sell when it came to Calamity Ganon and, Astor knew, would be easy enough to sate with the proper strokes and smiles.

He’d nearly succeeded. Astor was leaned in close with hand was upon Lord Borras, who had finally relaxed his tense shoulders and scrunched face, pleased with every assurance of how very vital he was, how fortunate Calamity Ganon was to have such a keen ally right in the midst of his enemy, on and on. He was smiling and his eyes were darkening and Astor had him precisely where he wanted him—

And then they were interrupted. There’s a flash of barely contained irked confusion across Astor’s face before he recognizes the man who’d wedged between them as the same disguise Kohga had used once before. He must have followed Astor, again—Godsdamn it.

“Is that so?” Lord Borras snaps, igniting in angry red from cheek to ear, “Is this why you’ve been too busy, Prophet?”

“No,” Astor is quick to respond, holding up a finger first to Lord Borras, and then to Kohga, “No, it is not. I need to speak with my friend for one moment, if you please—“

“I do not please.”

There is a shift to Astor’s tone as he lowers his voice, softer and harder all at once, “Lord Borras, I will thank you to wait one. Moment. You most certainly did not come all this way to storm off, yes? I will return shortly.”

If Lord Borras had more to say on the matter, he didn’t voice it, merely crossing his arms and tapping his foot as Astor yanked Kohga along to the nearest corridor, where he promptly pins him to the wall with a firm hand and firmer glare.

Full Name: King Gome Borras (derived from the French word gomme, meaning eraser, and the Spanish borrar, meaning "to erase or delete")

Age: 24

Appearance: Short, with a rounded top edge and flat bottom, titanium white, one visible beady eye, small gold crown

Description: An egotistical eraser who rules over the kingdom of Prennsia. An absolute jerk to everyone and a horrible customer to his fortune teller.

Likes: Being king

Dislikes: Treason, people trying to swipe the throne, losing his crown

Miss Porvenne

Full Name: Unknown (Miss Porvenne is a stage name of sorts. It's derived from porvenir, a Spanish word meaning "future".)

Age: About 37

Appearance: Adult woman, dark-skinned, black lipstick, mostly black outfit featuring black lace. Hair and eye color unknown, as she constantly has them obscured by her headdress.

Description: Not much is known about this mysterious fortune-teller, but she's set up shop in Prennsia, making the king one of her most frequent customers. If only his payments were as frequent as his visits...

Likes: Telling fortunes, apparently

Dislikes: Bad tippers, King Borras

The Pencil Guard

Appearance: Yellow pencils standing upright, normally holding swords and shields (though these aren't the only weapons they wield)

Description: The Pencil Guard is King Borras' elite fighting force. They work great as a team and are extremely loyal to the king... when they aren't planning pranks behind his back.

Okay, those are pretty much all the Borras Kingdom ones for now. Random OC dump time!

Queen Amisha

Full Name: Amisha, the Fairy Queen

Age: Timeless

Appearance: Adult woman, fair-skinned, green, flowing hair that reaches down to her waist. Often seen wearing a puffy cyan dress and an iridescent tiara.

Description: As her name suggests, she's the queen of the fairies. She is usually calm and cheerful, but be on your best behavior around her - she is merciless to anyone she deems a troublemaker. Aside from her royal duties, she runs a rehabilitation center for young imps and demons.

Likes: People getting along, chrysanthemum flowers

Dislikes: Troublemakers

(so she's basically ms. accord but fifty times worse.)

Burger

Full Name: Burger

Age: Unknown

Appearance: Child, tiny, brown body, teardrop-shaped head, jagged mouth, fingerless hands and toeless feet.

Description: Burger is a demon who was taken into Amisha's rehabilitation center. He is very prone to mischief, and always seems to have too much energy. It doesn't help that Amisha is downright cruel to him...

Likes: Having fun!

Dislikes: Getting into trouble, Queen Amisha

Princess Rhinestone

Full Name: Haven't thought of one yet...

Appearance: Teenage, fair-skinned, flowing pink hair, silver crown full of rhinestones. Often wears a pale blue dress with royal blue highlights.

Description: Rules over the Rhinestone Kingdom. She is cheery and bubbly, and usually the moral support of any group she's in. However, she seems to go overboard whenever thanking someone for doing her a favor. Once, she was possessed by the power of the Miracle Stone, but a brave hero rescued her from its clutches.

Likes: Having friends, jewels, dancing around her castle

Dislikes: Being taken advantage of

Sequin Mermaid

Full Name: ...Molly? I dunno

Appearance: Teenage, dark-skinned, sky-blue hair of medium length, green mermaid tail with iridescent sequin "scales".

Description: This mermaid lives down inside an underwater city. She's a little insecure and is ashamed of how she looks. She discovered the beautiful Dazzle Sequin while exploring one day, and, hoping it would improve her looks, she took it. Unfortunately, the Sequin corrupted her and transformed her into a sea monster. Luckily, a daring adventurer saved her from the Sequin's influence and showed her her real beauty.

Likes: Seashells, being alone

Dislikes: Her looks, crowds

Yarn Witch

Full Name: Raye Pollamori

Appearance: Teenage, fair-skinned, red hair made of strands of yarn, pointed black hat and clothes made of felt.

Description: A mischievous little witch. She lives in a spooky place where it's always autumn. The only thing she like more than casting spells and making potions is yarn, which is why she was ecstatic when she chanced upon the Eternal Spool, a spool of yarn that never runs out. She realized too late the power of the Spool, which turned her from mischievous to just plain evil. She was almost set on conquering the world before a legendary warrior stopped her and destroyed the Spool, transforming her back to her old self.

Likes: Casting spells, making potions, yarn

Dislikes: Being bored

Clay Centurion

Full Name: Johnson Cobble

Appearance: Teenage, medium color skin, short, curly black hair, armor made of hardened clay.

Description: A warrior made of clay. His armor may look heavy and clunky, but he can move almost effortlessly in it. He lives at the top of Mount Pumice, challenging any passers-by he meets. Despite his fearsome appearance, he's actually quite friendly, if overly chummy. When he picked up the Sunbaked Sword, an unbreakable and remarkable weapon, he became conceited and overconfident. Thankfully, a paragon of justice went up to Mount Pumice one day and defeated him, freeing him of the Sword's control.

Likes: Sparring, defending his homeland

Dislikes: Being lonely

So... I just realized that me writing this fic was actually a very powerful need to rewatch Strange Magic.

Borra and Elina's vibe was just Bog King and Marianne.

Yes; I am well aware of the fact that I'm insane.

I ship Borra and Elina SO FREAKIN HARD!

I even talked to a friend about this and they said 'Dude, I could see it. She could teach him the power of friendship and he could soften up.'

I was trying to write a story just to justify this shit but it didn't work. Not because of the ship though. It was the story that fell apart. Trying to come up with a way for them to interact was the issue. Not the actual interaction. That was going great!

I had Borra meet Elina before she got her wings so he thought she was human, but he saw her trying to help some fairies caught in a trap and watched the iron burn her hands.

The story was so much fun to try and figure out! It was going to be canon compliant to both franchises and I had a timeline worked out and everything. I'm just bad at writing! It would have been great and I was so sad to realize that the fic was dying on me.

Btw, I know Margot Robbie should be the obvious answer, but I personally see Samara Weaving as a live action Elina.

Yes; I want a live action Barbie: Fairytopia movie and I am not ashamed to admit it. Those were my favorites growing up. (Mariposa and her Butterfly Fairy Friends was and is the GOAT.)
