Working with kids really tests your ability to hold in a laugh
Today a boy walked up close to a kindergartener who was sitting on the floor, so her face was about eye level with his waist. Her response to this invasion of personal space was to shout "GET YOUR NUTS AWAY FROM ME!"
I wish I could say I managed to keep a straight face

one of my mom’s favorite stories about her demon baby (me) was when i was really little at daycare my mom picked me up and the manager was like ‘hey. look at this picture’ and it was a bunch of grey, green and red scribbles. and my mom was like oh yeah the baby loves art. and the manager was like do you know what the baby said it was when we asked? ‘no’ ‘frogs in a blender’
#i loved blood and horror so much... i remember drawing vampires and witches in kindegarten and they would have bloody fangs...#i had such graphically disturbing nightmares but i have no idea why. my mom was like 'why would frogs in a blender even occur to you'

Agshagsg my scooby posts on here are always like two sentences and super vague or whatever and then the tags have like a five paragraph meta essay that gets super off topic and into the impact of evolving media and streaming ahfiadhahehsh
---
NOT AGAIN AGH 🙈
#anyways highkey considering rewatching goes hollywood teehee#and its all super specific to my own experience ofc. bc i forget that sd for the dootuals (and others!) may not have been a monumental part#of their childhood and their no. 1 interest/favorite thing/obsession for YEARS#like scooby literally helped me learn how to READ. how do i introduce someone to that for the first time ever. how do i convey the enormity#of that.#like how do i show someone the feeling of playing cheesy scooby themed web games on the computer at my grandmothers house. of eating#EXCLUSIVELY scooby fruit snacks (i loved the little blue ones) and playing scooby dominoes and having a toy mystery machine and little toy#gang members that i can STILL see the bite marks on and checking out something for the very first time at my school library in kindegarten#and its a scooby doo comic with batman and wonder woman in it. and being daphne for Halloween (i was always daphne and my brother always#shaggy) and learning to READ and love reading as i TORE through the scooby solve it yourselves at school.#and how i loved watched scooby on boomerang (the old one when it was blue) and would get SO excited when a scooby movie marathon was on#instead of the regular episodes and would sit there for HOURS watching them. and how i always cried whenever we watched zombie island#like in what way can i possibly explain the force of that love to another human being. like where can i even start.#theres no magical order to watching can recreate that. i couldn't even tell someone where to start because ive been loving scooby since#before i can even remember. how can you even begin to share that with someone who didnt have those same experiences?#.......#i did it again didnt i#swishy you need to STOP-#blah

For anyone unfamiliar with Pre-Reboot Comic!Bane, this is why I’m always ranting in the tags. I love this horrible baby and Nu52/Rebirth Could Never.
#if this was reboot they would have like two pages of Bane's mom being abused and then two pages of Bane being abused#and then like two pages of bane being abused#and then two pages about bane being mad and doing pushups#and then like four pages and a spread of Puerco's bloody murder#and some really psuedo-deep dialogue#and no storytelling whatsoever#idk why they're so bad at writing bane dude they have this lovely blueprint of why he's like this and they keep shifting it around#reboot like: no he was scared in the obscuro#no bitch he was fucking broken before he went in there he didn't cry when they fed his mother's body to the sharks#he's been numb since kindegarten catch up tom#the last thing he was consciously afraid of was puerco and that's why he died#ooc#now he's only subconsciously afraid#of normal things like bats and hope and trust and intimacy#and friendship and emotional vulnerability#normal and average things#Worth A Thousand Words || Comic Spams#Editor's Note || Analysis#headcanons

It's been a while since I felt the need to liveblog cr3 but I just gotta say Laura's and Travis's asmr guidance in 79 was absolutely amazing
#ignore me#maddie liveblogs cr3#obligatory It's Been A While~#but fr when they were guiding ashton and orym blindfolded down the path thing#I know the others compared her to a kindegarten teacher but my goodness she was So Calming to listen to#both her and travis together was like. this really is them co-parenting lmao#idk I'm enjoying this mini arc so much omg#I was a lil wary of Team Building Activities :D bc they always come off. idk awkward at best and cringe at worst#but this has been so genuinely fun and enjoying major kudos to Matt#like the blindfolded guiding thing was so amazing to listen to both in and out of characters lol#and just all of their Truths.... boy oh boy this group......#and apparently the next part some of them get replaced by doppelgangers!!!! I'm so hyped!!!!#I'm so excited this whole mini arc is so so great I'm loving all of it

head in hands bc kacchan really is such a sweet boy. maybe that's why izuku calls him kacchan, beside to preserve the little connection they have to each other, bc he knows kacchan is just a boy. a boy who's brilliant and amazing and can be really mean sometimes. but a Boy nonetheless 😭 his explosive anger & him talking like a delinquent is to hide thiss (even though people saw through it). that despite everything he still has childlike dreams and innocent ideals and oh it's too MUCH.
like we've seen again and again how he would go to great lengths for the people he cares about, especially izuku, but it's not that he's changed. all these grand gestures aren't even him changing, it's always been inside him. he's accepting and allowing himself to show it. i love how the peak of his arc isn't some big battle, but a heartfelt scene where he fully allows himself to sob in front of the most important people in his life.
he reverts to using childish language with his parents in the hospital because he's accepted he's his parents' little boy and he wants their care and attention. he cries to izuku like the vulnerable kindegarten self he was internally, back in the river, watching his world crumble once again, because he's too devastated to be any other version of himself at the moment. he's just a boy who cares too much and for once it's okay.
#bakugou katsuki#kacchan ramble#i love him so much UGGDHHDJ#hes just a normal boyy#hes a special boy who learned hes also just an ordinary boy and can have ordinary boy feelings#izuku is an ordinary boy who learned hes always been so special#mha 424#bnha 424#midoriya izuku#mha#bnha

Yeah. Like. Treating the education of children like the massive responsibility it IS, should NOT mean we as a society need to move back 100 years in societal development. They don't say "it takes a village" for nothing, and if anything, men should be able to be stay-at-home fathers too, and I DO MEAN that ECONOMICALLY (because men's wages are STILL higher than women's even in the same field, with the same qualifications). Getting a child is prohibitively expensive by the year, and then the rich have the GALL to bitch about poor people complaining because they have no money to rear a child. And the racist policy makers complain all the time about the "wrong" people having too many children anyway.
Before the advent of the nuclear family in one household, it was NORMAL for a kid to be raised in a home that was like. 1-4 grandparents, parents, siblings, sometimes also siblings of parents and their children even. But those kinds of living situations are harder to exploit for monetary reasons.
Wether it is UBI (or some half-version of it) or just that ANY job (and be it bloody PART TIME) gives a worker enough money to be able to comfortably take care of a kid, the situation as it is will NOT become better if we go tradwife style.
can i be honest im 100% for the fact that like the tradwife stay at home mom thing is really fucked culturally but also like i think we as a society have to figure this shit out because a child needs the equivalent (if not more) of a full time job's worth of work from an adult who (for the health of the child and for the ethics of the situation honestly) needs to be able to function in a way that isn't making the adult miserable because being raised by miserable adults has really tangible negative impacts on children. whether its community childcare so that simply more adults can be involved in the situation or much more robust social aid towards young families. like this might he stupidly idealistic but i think really the root of a lot of issues in society come from the fact that people refuse to understand the gravity of like. parenthood. its an insane responsibility. i think it should be treated as such
#being a stay-at-home mom is NOT an 'evil' choice.#but the TRADWIFE movement IS evil.#don't let yourself be lulled in by their lies#housework IS REAL work and HARD work#and should be fiscally compensated#yes I think people that stay at home should get wages too#and that's basically what paid parental leave practically IS#(even if it sadly is tied to what you earned previously)#(and also only limited)#but yeah#either you have enough kindegartens and whole day schools and the moms are able to join the workforce quickly again#without any tradeoffs#or you will have miserable people only

hey, isn’t that AMARA DANES, who looks a little like GRETA ONIEOGOU? i hear SHE is a THIRTY - TWO year old CIS WOMAN who works as a OWNER OF THE CRYSTAL RIDGE WINERY who has been in town for HER WHOLE LIFE ( on and off ). they ARE a member of one of aspen creek’s founding families. you can usually find them at EVERGREEN FARMS.
birth name : amara danes.
alias / nickname : am.
age : 32.
date of birth : september 9th.
gender + pronouns: cis woman + she/her.
orientation: heterosexual and romantic.
marital state : married.
residence : aspen creek, north carolina.
occupation: owner of the crystal ridge winery.
education : has a masters in food science from nc state; tba.
spoken languages : english, medium knowledge of french.
the youngest to be born out of the danes, amara thought to fashion herself a bit of daddy's girl -- wherever warren went, she ran after. perhaps it was this seeming preference that has lead her to have a business-like brain, or it was innate - - some like to joke she was out of the womb as a planner, the first of the warren babies to come exactly on the due date and with the less fuss. however it was, amara soon learned to be the type who does stuff. it goes from carrying a crate to become class president to take up a minor in business.
college is the first time she doesn't know exactly what she will do. (sure, she has an inkling she wants to keep up with the family business, but that's as far as it goes). it's also the first time she leaves aspen creek - - clinging to her best friend since the kindegarten, joey. as much as she takes advantage of the bigger city, she remains grounded throughout her courses until - - until she falls in love. it's hard and it's all too much, and she's barely out of her last finals when the pregnancy test comes out positive. having a baby barely out of college is far from her dream, but she adjusts.
it's only been some five or so years since she's opened the winery with joey, combining their parents' business in a way that suited amara's crave: they make money from both the wines, sold all around state from fruit picked directly from the danes' farms, and the events hosted in the grounds of the winery, which may as well be amara's favorite part of the job with working to put it all together to best please her clients.
